Sharing some of my thoughts on MTG MOM Story Chapter 3

Spoilers Below

So I’m actually like pretty satisfied with the resolution with Tamiyo’s End. I think the emotional hit of using Nashi try to reason with his mom and the aftermath of him just breaking down and embracing the Remnant of Tamiyo does its job at pulling the hearthstrings.

They also do love using the Wanderer as a not so surprising surprise solution but honestly I do smile whenever she shows up. And if I had a nickle for every time a mass multiverse threat blew up a giant important tree I would have a few and more to come if the story is to be believed.

But man the pacing of it really suffers because of the format of being crammed into like 5ish main story chapters and 2~5ish side stories if we’re lucky. Like it’s super weird to just see oh we just mostly resolved the phyrexian invasion of kamigawa in a singular chapter. I am a titch worried future chapters will fall into the same fate. But it’s still worth a read imo.

Teeth humor isn’t even exciting to me anymore. I’ve heard every form of tooth-based threat. “I’m gonna steel ur teeeth” this, “your teeth are now squishy” that, yadda yadda blah blah.

used to not want to believe that catra was a furry but this is indisputable. i think she might have a fur-skin combo considering she has freckles and can blush. but bow and mermista can also blush so maybe thats just an animation thing. and the freckles might be in representation of whiskers so idk.

INFP Thought Dump

Internal processors, thinking of possibilities, they wont take help from anyone else, and try to be the best good person they can be.

A recipe for bottled up emotions with no outlet besides creativity. Easily lead into depression when they need to talk about things but cant because they shouldn’t bother anyone, and feel things more deeply than words can describe. Stuck in a cage with the key dangling right in front of them to grab but they wont take it because they don’t know if someone else needs it more.

something this quarantine has showed me is that i don’t like being alone, especially when it’s not because i chose to be alone. another thing is i have ZERO motivation for anything and that sucks because i have things that i want to do but something is preventing me from doing so.

Sadness & Joy

Sadness and joy are the two strongest emotions we experience. They can make up for one another; joy can make sadness disappear, but so can sadness take over for joy. Sadness may create depression, joy euphoria. But how come when we create we create from a place of sadness rather than joy?

The answer is fairly simple. At times we create to share, to show, to enlighten. To let other people take part in our happiest moments and memories. But more often than not we create to handle, to cope, to overcome. Why, now, would we ever want to overcome a euphoric feeling such as joy?

Sadness, on the other hand, we cannot cope with. Sadness, we have to overcome. And that is why, in so many cases, we create from sadness. Because we feel the need to turn our sadness into something meaningful. Joy, we don’t need to turn into anything because it already is the most meaningful and powerful emotion.

Creating from sadness does not mean we do not appreciate joy. It only means that sadness we need to work on and to work with in order to overcome it. So, creating from sadness is never wrong or harmful und unjustified, for it is the only way we may overcome whatever it is that is making us feel this way. It is the only way we may get better.
