yall i kinda dont care what you gotta say on this one cus its real to me but katsuki is lowkey a crybaby. i fully believe he cries extremely easy,, like..HAVE YOU SEEN HIM ??? do you see how quickly bothered and emotional he gets over stuff ? no,not angry—bothered and emotional. (but the angry part also works lowkey i like to think in certain situations he gets so angry he cries.)

so yeah every time you argue—wether it’s over the phone n he hangs up on you or in person and he storms off to get away from you. he’s just so mad at you, he’s angry so so angry but he doesn’t like fighting with you. he’s in the right, he’s sure he is.. but a minuscule little part of him sorta wishes he wasn’t so this fight never happened. and also, don’t tell anyone, but he’s also pretty fucking worried you’ll leave him.

oh and there they are, he feels little tears prick at his lash line, practically clawing at his face the moment he feels them coming. he sniffles loudly nose already clogged and he scowls so hard, eyebrows pinched harder like that’ll make them go away.

he’s angry, so angry. he tries to convince himself he’s fuming just so he can stop crying.

—and he cries anyway. it’s nothing too dramatic, no sobs. only a hiccup manages to pass through his lips and he’s heaving and sniffling hard, wiping at his eyes and nose.

the reason critical role is so good is because every campaign features at least one cast member creating a character that they intend to be doomed by the narrative and matt and the rest of the cast going don’t be an idiot, Our Love Will Undoom Them. like in the explanation of percy’s final playlist, taliesin wrote, “Cheers to a happy ending for a character intended by his creator to be karmically irredeemable. May we all be so fortunate.” and just, Yeah.

Was watching a video called ‘Marisha being proficient in note taking’ (watch the video it’s epic the link is here) where Beau is going crazy conspiracy mode and the things that gets brought up is Aeor, specifically Cognouza and in that she and Jester have a moment talking about it splitting from Aeor, specifically theorizing that maybe it is ‘a defense mechanism gone wrong’

I don’t know how much Matt had figured out at this point but from what has been revealed in Downfall,,, this theory is right on the money. It would be interesting to know if Matt had this thought out already or if Marisha’s rant inspired it, either way she knocked it out of the park - when watching the video I was shitting my pants cause of how much more Aeor lore we know now and what scraps we had of it back then and Marisha still figured that shit out it’s just impressive

I'm both amused and emotional about the idea of Beau turning to Essek one day and just saying, 'hey man, do you wanna be part of the Cobalt Soul?' And Essek asks, does she mean that one of his fake personas can pretend to be a Cobalt Soul member, and Beau says no. Come and actually join the Cobalt Soul. Under a fake name and face, obviously, but he'll be a real, official member.

'I mean, come on, man. You're already helping us take down Ludinus, you're doing a whole bunch of Aeor research. Why not just make it easier and... officially join? You've got the whole boner-for-knowledge thing down. And I'm an Expositor. If I want to show up and say 'here's my friend, Definitely-Not-Essek, just make him an archivist', they'll probably roll with it.'

'You don't think any of your superiors - the elite group of spies and investigators - might see through that? Or that it might risk the attention of those hunting me falling upon your order?'

And Beau shrugging and saying, 'If they do, I'll deal with it.' A quiet, deadly promise.

Idk, maybe 'Seth' was just a random identity made up on the fly, but I really like the idea that he might actually be Cobalt Soul. Just... something about Essek, who lived a century in isolation, getting to be part of something. Never being starved for intellectual peers again. Being around people who believe that knowledge is meant to be celebrated and shared.

And Beau knowing that the Cobalt Soul is about standing against corruption. About exposing lies. Finding the truth. And trusting completely that Essek, her friend, believes in those things too.

i know i kiinnda said something about this before but katsuki becomes a fucking comedian when you’re around. genuinely think he would not miss an opportunity to make you laugh. like he’s just so crude and unfiltered, so funny without even trying. any chance he can make you snort and laugh at loud he’ll take it.

he’ll comment on how stupid characters act in movies or how dumb the dialogue is when you watch a bad movie on purpose. or he copies the lines to make you laugh (i feel like he’d genuinely love watching bad movies I DONT CAREEEEE)

he’ll send you notes and lean over to whisper about something in your ear and like hold back tears while you’re silently losing your shit. silly loverboy

and every single time he makes you laugh it’s just that damn smirk. he’s just so proud of himself for it, and your reaction always gets a chuckle out of him. when you banter and joke back an forth you are genuinely the only person he’ll laugh around. all wheezey and loud and pitched, gripping his stomach and smacking your arm till it hurts. sigh i love him
