ngl it’s very funny to me how fanworks treat the fall as SUPER DUPER SERIOUS and threatening considering all the other shit that happens. from a purely conceptual standpoint “guy falls off boat” would rank wayyyyyy below “guy channels so much Godly Creation Power he esplodes” and “guy thrown into volcano” and “guys are dramatically crushed between the immovable hands of giant mech beast” and “girl tragically poisoned as casualty of the heroes winning” yet its Guy Fell that they went with. hilarious. i mean that completely seriously i love how much the trilogy tried to walk back the silly stuff and give them like, actual human limitations and injuries but only bc the juxtaposition is comedy gold. fall damage was possible but only then. in the pilots they got flung fifty feet into stone walls by their dragons and walked away fine

my apparently unpopular star trek opinion is picard and q should NOT date. yes q is obviously homoerotically obsessed with picard but he’s also such a jerk. he causes problems constantly. he’s jealous and possessive in ways that are huge red flags even with people he is not dating and the one time we see him interact with an ex he’s even worse. he does things that are hurtful to picard constantly. he would be the worst boyfriend ever. what about PICARD’s feelings doesn’t captain picard deserve better than that??? hasn’t captain picard done enough in his esteemed career to deserve a boyfriend who would respect him??? have a heart

I feel like this is an unpopular opinion but I lovvvvveeeeedddd touya-nii in my snowman and me. I've read the fiction a thousand times at this point. Idk why but he just tickles my brain the right way and makes my heart melt until it's all gooey. 🩵

i don’t feel like this is an unpopular opinion at all, actually!! touya-nii in general is winning by a landslide in my lil popularity poll right now, but in addition to that snowman era touya is a little softer and more vulnerable—a little more human and likeable, honestly—so i think it totally makes sense that this specific era appeals to you the most!! <3
