Okay, so.

As most of you know, I’m part of the Randy Cunningham fandom! Since today’s the anniversary, I figured I might as well try and do something! Now since I’m not much of an artist- I figured I’d talk about my experience!

If I’m being honest, I can’t say what brought me to enjoy RC9GN. Though I will say it’s led to me meeting some brilliant but amazing people. RC9GN has simply become a comfort show, and to have all of you here — to share my ideas with, and for you to share your own, well, it’s made everything so much more worth it.

When I first watched the show, I didn’t have much expectations for it. It was like any other cartoon until I found myself wanting more; connecting with the characters, with the universe. Of course, I just hyperfixated but it still led me to come here and it’s led to a fantastic community, one of the healthiest I’ve ever met.

I’d like to thank @just-animaxiz for the creation of projects like Punk Rock and the brotherly bonds between Spike and Randy. I also extend a word of gratitude to @oceandirtcountry for Project Zero.

To my followers and mutuals, and I can’t possibly tag everyone, but everything began with headcanons and theories, and now look at us!

GUESS WHO DID TWO WHOLE PAGES OF HATCHETFIELD OCS

Right at the centre, we got Rory and Adrienne by @rathaway, it felt only fair to draw both of them together and I got to try my hand at a side profile! Then, on the left page, we have Loggy, who's owned by @just-animaxiz, Casper from @jesterbabey, and Eddy who was made by @cutter-kirby. The right page features Graham by @chatterghosts, Gerry by @t3a-gh0st, and last but not least, @fin-the-fissssssh's OC, Harper. GOD that was a lot of OCs, I’m so proud that I was able to draw this many but my hands also kind of hurt now.

Rekka and Zanzo being bored and they decided to collab to have a “testing fight” with Rekka fighting Zanzo’s inventions

this one is a lot shorter, mostly bc i didn't rlly feel like actually writing an action scene. they're Hard okay??

it was fun to write these two, though!

"What do you want, Zanzo?" Rekka asks as soon as the call connects.

"I was thinking! I need to test some of my latest and greatest creations," he explains, dramatically posing as he speaks. "And I thought: all of these lousy, uninspired, WEAK DUM-1Es are destroyed in mere moments! I need a much tougher volunteer!"

"So...you're asking Rekka to beat up your bots?" He grins. "Yes!"

"Hmm." She narrows her eyes. Then, she smirks. "Rekka'll be down in R&D before you can say, "Get ready to rumble!'"

About 10 minutes later, Rekka bursts into R&D. She looks around, but Zanzo is nowhere to be found.

With a huff, she makes her way into the waiting room for the first test chamber. She stomps up to the receptionist desk. But before she can say anything, the speakers overhead crackle.

"You didn't get here before I could say, "Get ready to rumble,'" Zanzo states, his voice echoing through the room. "But no matter! Proceed into the chamber!"

Grumbling, she does as told. The doors shut and lock behind her.

"What is Rekka up against?" she asks as she rolls her shoulders. "As stated earlier: my latest and greatest creations!" She slams her fists together with a scowl. "Which are what?!"

When a barely audible squeak comes in through the speakers, she smirks.

"W-Well—" He laughs nervously. That laughter turns a bit more maniacal after a moment. "Why don't I show you?"

A hatch on one of the walls opens up. A large, black, grey, and yellow robot flies through it, landing in the center of the room. It stands up straight and looks at her. Then, it lets out an odd sounding roar as its hands spin, changing into buzzsaws.

"Rekka, DM-ET1L! DM-ET1L, Rekka."

Rekka stares at it, wide-eyed. Then, she chuckles as she starts to pull off her gloves.

"I'm gonna enjoy tearing you apart," she tells it with a wicked grin.

stop trying to scare the devs into doing what you want faster

Yes voice your concerns

if you want something fixed just say that rather than saying you’re leaving the game

going online and saying the game is dead is just make newcomers and other people leave the game and ACTUALLY making the game die

so unless you want a game to die stop going into public places and acting like it is dying for everyone else to see

You will always be able to come up with and find things that need to be fix faster than the dev team will be able to fix/adjust it. ALWAYS. So be reasonable with you complaints and stop giving the game team ultimatums like they can change the thing you want the moment you find out about it

The Devs are trying their bests! At least they’re being progressive and try to do new methods. Everyone goes on shitting on Dislyte’s cons but I think they’re doing their best for it

People are allowed their complaints and concerns. I’ll never be against that

But seeing how the Dislyte community LOVES to parrot any gripe they hear and add it onto their personality

ex. Remember when people acted like Brynn saying frick was the worst crime you could commit to their ears.

Or when we said the devs should do different color hair and now we have a subsection of the fanbase that MUST comment about how disappointed they are that the video game character has white hair

MAYBE just MAYBE we shouldn’t be opening our mouths and acting like the game is dying, days before the new years when people are looking for new games to play and ALL THESE COMMENTS ABOUT A DEAD GAME IS NOT HELPING

i think it’s really amazing how total strangers who have nothing in common but their shared love of a work of fiction will come together across distances and dedicate their time and energy working collaboratively to build an extensive, richly detailed fanon that completely fucking sucks

Imagine if I said I worked on this fanfic all night, holy shit. I was dead-set on getting it out — trying to push myself to a different style of one-shot and it worked; I’m almost certain this has to be longest one-shot yet and I am not complaining.

The idea isn’t inherently my own and I wrote it as a request/gift for @just-animaxiz but holy shit, Rebels on the Road was such a fun ride!

To summarize, this is set in an alternate post-canon setting- months following the defeat of the Sorcerer and due to time shenanigans, the main cast are all in their junior year of high school and one of them, our title lead Randy, has gotten his driver’s license. Shenanigans ensue when he ends up in a silly, little situation and well, it gets a lot more crazier from there!

This is technically written as a sort of sequel to “Escape from Scrap City”, but not entirely! Though trust me - you are going to have a blast with this, literally /lh

The word count has my tail thumping up and down. Also credit goes to the lovely @just-animaxiz for this. They designed me a flyer based on the event Randy attends in the fanfic! Unfortunately, Ao3 decided to be a butt and not properly upload the image so we had to resort to this instead, I’m afraid

Roquefort being an animal lover (canon when you use 808’s showtime on his human form in battle) and he saw an injured stray animal (cat or dog) and aided them a bit.

sorry if this is ooc at all, this is my first time writing roquefort and i struggled a bit with how to portray him. but good practice!

It's as he's on his way home, stopped at a stop sign, that Roquefort sees the poor thing. It's a mangy, scrawny hound, lapping at a puddle on the sidewalk further ahead. As he drives closer, he peers at it. There was already cause for concern; now it's grown, thanks to him noticing that it's got one of its hind legs held up.

He comes to a stop a little ways away and parks his car. After getting out and grabbing his cane, he cautiously approaches it. He calls out to it gently so as to not startle it too much.

"Hey there, poochie."

The dog jolts, then whirls towards him. Its ears fold back against its head, tail tucking between its legs.

"It's alright, I won't hurt you," he says.

Adjusting his grip on his cane, Roquefort kneels down and holds a hand out to it. It shies away. After a moment, when he doesn't move, it hesitantly steps closer. When he remains still, it pads even closer. It sniffs at his hand. It looks up at him with its big, brown eyes.

He offers it a smile.

Continuing to stare at him, the dog tilts its head a bit.

He tilts his own head, though he does so in order to get a better look at its neck to see if it has a collar on. Which it...doesn't. He frowns.

Roquefort shifts his gaze to its injured leg. It's hard to tell what exactly is wrong with it from here. It doesn't seem to be bleeding, though, which is good. Most likely just broken.

He hums thoughtfully. The only animal hospital on the island is a decent ways away. Roquefort will have to convince it to get into his car somehow.

He doesn't have any treats on him, unfortunately. But perhaps asking will work? It has in the past. Not always, but enough for him to figure it's worth a shot.

"Do you want to go for a ride?" he asks it. Its ears perk up. It tilts its head to the other side.

Slowly standing up, he turns, gesturing for it to follow as he says, "Come on, then."

The dog pads after him as he makes his way back to his car. It hurries ahead a bit, stopping by the rear door. He chuckles when he sees its tail wagging.

Upon reaching the car, he opens the passenger side door. The dog stares for a moment, before it moves to climb in, only to be stopped by Roquefort putting his cane in front of it.

"You'll hurt yourself, little pup. Give me a moment, and I'll get you in."

Leaning his cane against the door, he slowly reaches towards it. It stares at him. Its ears fold back a bit, but otherwise it doesn't react. Carefully, he picks it up, being mindful of its leg and its reaction. He's a bit surprised that it isn't squirming around, but thankful. That means it's less likely to hurt itself further.

Gently, Roquefort sets it down on the seat. It remains perfectly still, aside from turning to look at him. He frowns.

Poor thing must've froze up.

Grabbing his cane, he shuts the door, then makes his way around to the drivers side.

As he gets in and buckles up, he wonders about the pooch's owner. After all, dogs don't just magically wind up on Vandelay Island. It's owner has to be around somewhere. Hopefully, it has a chip.

Roquefort starts the car and glances over at it. It's still sitting there, just staring at him.

He sighs. Then, he offers it another smile and gently pats it on the back. "Don't worry, poochie. I'll sort this out."

Dealing with the Stank

Okay, so- I had this idea cooking in my head for a little while and decided I might as well share my thoughts as part of a little treat!

After reading "Dog and Phony Show", I began questioning why the show never alluded to Randy getting stanked- of course, this is likely only due to him being the main character, but in context of the canon - this is quite an interesting thing to not have included within the show. Do Ninjas simply not get stanked because the suit is protecting them? Of course, there's also the fact

So, genuinely this whole thing happens because Randy either gets distressingly overwhelmed with being the Ninja OR it has to do with a ridiculous feeling of inferiority- (think something like what happened during the whole Lucius O' Thunderpunch fiasco, but you know, if it had done a little more realistically)

He does try to fight off the stank, but ultimately the Sorcerer manages to take over and Randy remembers briefly blacking out before ‘waking up’ in a daze- of course, he doesn’t have the foggiest what’s happening and feels this overwhelming urge to break free, and run… so he bursts out of wherever he’s in

I do view Randy as being this quadrupedal creature and has this fluffy mane but okay- first things first…

Stanked! Randy Headcanons

🧣 Randy would be themed either after an oriental dragon, a lion of sorts, or even… some sort of cheetah-looking creature. For some reason, this just makes sense to me-

🧣 He's going to be fast and that makes him harder to catch, but at the same time- I feel he might be slightly uncoordinated, letting himself be governed by present emotions

🧣 Randy will have purple somewhere on his stanked form- at least to make sure that it's him and not someone else. If I remember correctly, Dog and Phony Show had it as a mane and I think it would be a pretty cool feature to have!

🧣 I also feel that Randy isn't going to be easy to be destanked, but he also did attempt to resist- purely because he knows that as the Ninja, him getting overpowered by the Sorcerer is not ideal

🧣 He obviously doesn't have any of his powers as the Ninja- apart from being agile and lithe

Additional Thoughts + Analysis

If we're speaking on the angle of him getting stanked because of being overwhelmed, and that is putting it mildly, I imagine he's just full of anger and frustration which means the only way to destank him is by convincing the boy what he's doing is important- that he's capable, that he's a good Ninja. I honestly think that if the show were done for a more serious angle, he would be a little bound by the mantle he carries.

At some point, he reaches breaking point- feeling he can't juggle his own career, so to speak, as the Ninja and his own life as a high schooler which is what leads to his own 'demise' so to speak. In doing so, probably the only people who have the power to reverse the stank are Howard and Theresa for reasons to say the least- one being more obvious than the other.

As a bonus! This idea was cowritten between myself and a lovely mutual of mine @just-animaxiz featuring a non-canon take on "Into the Ninjaverse" - in an alternate reality where Spike, the leader of the punk bots, is the Ninja and Randy's a regular human... our favorite boy deals with a certain ahems loss to keep from spoiling the story too much. Overcome by grief, he falls pawn to the Sorcerer and goes on a violent rampage to the point he nearly ends McFist. This AU of course, is a lot deeper but I'd hate to ruin the fun so early.

Out of curiosity, and a quick show of hands- would anyone be interested in me writing a fic where Randy's stanked?

I might honestly do both versions- the one where he's stanked in a canon divergent timeline, and one for my beloved (/p) mutual.

Alex sits inside on an open circle surrounded by tools and broken gimmicks, humming to a music all the while making a new invention. She turns and spot Supia nearby, so she waves at the woman, "Hey! Hey! Can you help me for a bitsy, please?"

“Oh! What are you making?” The Celestial wandered over intrigued at the various bits around. 

It had been a while since she had been around a builder considering her living in Piltover for most of her young life. She did at least know some from her adoptive father being a successful manufacturer of Hextech.

She sat down beside Alex’s busy tinkering and began picking up pieces. A bit of magical glow hummed through her fingertips at the various metals.

“I can meld things if you need me to!”
