Howdy! I have an ask, but I'm not sure whether or not I've already submitted it (I think I did in my dream ?? I'm not sure though. I might be hallucinating) so sorry in advance if I already have!

Anyways, how do you have your puppets keep their poses during shots? Do they have wires inside them? I've seen strings occasionally when you have stuff float, so a combination of different materials for different things? And how do they stay up/keep their balance? Ooh, also, do you use/have you ever tried using magnets in them? Anddd last one, which puppet are you the most proud of?

Howdy!! Yeah I DID get the ask, I just take AGES to answer I'm afraid!! Sorry about that!! But good news then!! No, you're not hallucinating!! ;D

And yes!!! They have wires inside for limbs and everything!! Fingers too!! But I don't think I've used string before to hold them up? I use wires a lot, to hold up items, the puppets themselves and so on. That's probably what you saw? They're very useful!! But yeah basically, I use whatever is convenient and different situations call for different materials, I remember using LEGO to hold something up once?? XD

Some characters can hold their balance on their own, but NOT for stop motion!! Just pictures, you always need something to hold them up when animating. Frisk, Chara and Sans for instance, they can all stand on their own. Papyrus not so much, he's too tall and his legs are flimsy, so he almost always has wires to hold him up.

Here are some wonderful demonstrations with the guys!! The wires just hold the puppets however you need!! I try to hide them, but that's not always possible...

AND YES I HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT IT AND I REALLY DO WANT TO TRY MAGNETS!! They would be SO useful you have no idea!!? I just need to get some and try it out!!

And your last question... That's a tough one... I REALLY love how Koffin turned out, he's also super unique from anyone else I've done. Papyrus OF COURSE is up there!! Sure did take a while but he got here in the end!! And, not to pat myself on the back or anything, I think he's just REALLY SUPER COOL?? But I'm also really proud with how Sans turned out?? He was the first one I think where it sort of clicked for me and it just worked? I dunno... Probably these three... BUT THATS LIKE PICKING WHOS UR FAV AND I HATE THAT!!? I love them all, each and every one!! Yes, you too Flowey...

wire play is such an interesting idea to me… Like they basically act like little nerve endings in most fics, when interacted they send little electrical signals… Like if you rubbed the end of a broken one between your fingers would it send shakey signals? what if the wires electrocute you a little and you feel it through your finger but like.. he feels that too. he feels the electricity through both of you and it’s like you’re connected in a really obscure way. exploring what makes him up, analyzing all of his components so tenderly… GRAHHHH

anon I'm biting the ends of my fingers. you're so right but also you must understand. there's something so intimate about wire play with viktor specifically, because he used to be human. he's forgotten how tenderness can feel because this is all he has left. he's stripped himself of anything that could be seen as a weakness so he isn't sure what to do when your affection still persists. it's such a vulnerable part of him, the manifestation of all the worries and fears and troubles he's tried to hide. literally the key to all of his emotions. the sole thing keeping him alive.

and like... he made his whole body himself... constructed everything piece by meticulous piece... don't you think... it takes so much more for him to trust you enough to show you... to let you in............. explodes

Re-Sadie and hats

Sadie absolutely NEEDS the 22 hat. Sure Taylor may give to some cutesy 8 year old. But Sadie just has to find the kids weakness--chocolate? a puppy? $20 because thats all she has on her? No problem. Sadie has sources. Sadie can get that for the kid. And if that doesn't work...all they need is that guy with the schlong to streak across the stage to create a distraction so Sadie can steal the hat. Foolproof

at first i thought you meant she was going to bribe taylor and my immediate thought was "taylor is a billionaire who doesn't like dogs, what is she going to do with $20 and a puppy??" before realizing you meant sadie is going to bribe the CHILD. which honestly, is even better.

but bold of you to assume sadie would even need to get to the kid. i feel like she would somehow sneak her way into the VIP tent, or even better, backstage.

sadie has been caught hiding behind cleaning carts before and we all know the infamous mop cart that taylor hides in before her shows. all sadie needs to do is hitch a ride in that bad boy and BAM she's got herself taylor, the hat, and a restraining order
