Whew, finally done! Sorry it took so long, this is the largest update I've done yet clocking in at about 15 pages (compared to my usual 7-10). Also, congrats to those who guessed Todd for the distraction! Poor guy went through the last of his mystically preserved lemons just for this moment. What a bro.

Had the thought at work of a little kid at school drawing a picture of them and their giant parent. They then show the teacher and the teacher makes a comment or something about how ridiculously big the parent was drawn, only to get an enthusiastic response similar to,“Yeah! They’re giant!”

The teacher simply thinks that that’s how the child sees their parent. That they look up to them that much, both literally and figuratively, that they seem like a giant.

Then the teacher meets the parent at a parent-teacher conference or something and just,, mind goes blank

Ok but how does one crawl out of burnout?? It feels like every time I get a little better, I get hit with something so exhausting that it sends me all the way back to the beginning again. I know the treatment for burnout is "rest," but the world keeps moving so fast whether I want it to or not, and I have to figure out how to keep up with life. Just wondering if it's ever going to actually end or if true rest is just a myth

The clown car landed with a heavy thunk into the cobblestone, the blades still spinning slowly as it powered down. Then, his hands braced on the rim, Bowser heaved himself over into a leap, landing hard enough the ground shook. The Koopa King then stood tall, uncurling himself from his landing position. The morning sun set his mane on fire, and his scales glittered in the light, shimmering gold across his arms as he moved. Luigi could admit he was a majestic sight and he understood why Bowser’s species was colloquially known as a Dragon Koopa.

Mario cleared his throat, the anxious foot tapping having returned as he looked over at Bowser, and then immediately shifted his attention towards the sun’s position in the sky.

“You can lose the attitude, Red. I’m not late. I said it would be morning. You can look at the sun all you want and find that it is still morning,” Bowser huffed, the faintest puff of smoke filtering through his nostrils. The slightest hint of a growl crept into his tone.
