Oblivious, supportive fem Reader x Ayano Aisha, the reader really doesn't get that poor Ayano likes her. It would be nice if they are childhood friends and if Reader isn't a pushover or weak, just clueless as fuck when it comes to love.
After all, girls make shrines about each other all the time, right? And really, getting chocolate from your gal pal on valentines day is the best, good thing you got her home made chocolate too!
My first Yan sim request:D
Ayano Aishi x Female reader
Side note: this character is a yandere, wich means yandere themes might appear disturbing to some readers.
T/W: mentions of kidnaping, mentions of drugging, obsessive behavior, murder, blood, stalking, pshycothic behavior, mentions of self harm and suicide.
Tumblr media
Ayano has known you ever since she started first grade. You being her only friend in school, and with time this friendship evolved.
Which made you and the dark haired girl grow closer.
Her behavior never made you uncomfortable around her, neither did her silence. Because in truth, you liked it better, the difference between you two matched perfectly.
Your out going and talkative personality tangling with Ayano's introverted and silent language.
Kids your age called her many names due to her lack of emotions, but every time you were there to send them on their way with a bruise or two, nobody talks to your best friend like that!
At first when she was little, the girl saw your behavior towards her unnecessary. Why were you trying to get close to her? She had nothing to offer back to you.
But as she grew, whenever you weren't around her there was this empty spot in her heart, and that dull feeling griping her soul.
Not long before starting highschool did she realize what this meant.
Her mother talked to Ayano about this, since she was a child.Of course you were her special person, the one who will fill her heart with joy and warmth.
You belong to her.
And nobody can convince her otherwise.
You noticed when she became more clingy to you during breaks, but what you didn't see was the way she was glaring down at any student who dared to look at you for more than one second.
You didn't ask questions when your things were 'Borrowed' and never given back,it's what friends do,right? They share things with each other.
There would be times when you felt followed, like a shadow was glooming over you, following your every move when she wasn't with you. Even if you turned around to ease your paranoia, not seeing anyone there made it worse for you.
People noticed how tight you were with Ayano,so they chose not to meet pats with you. After all the shorter girl was creepy, who would want to tangle in something so complicated, definitely not most of the students, that's for sure.
But some couldn't help but be curious, maybe the feeling of being with someone they shouldn't be excited them.
But it didn't matter to Ayano. How do I know? The student coincidentally died because of food poisoning.
Rat poison isn't a condiment,silly.
Nothing changed after the incident, you and Ayano were closer, yes, that's because she offered you more protection than before, promising something like this will never happen to you. Unless it has to
Oh and she was over the moon when you accepted her invitation for a sleepover over, barely waiting to see your beautiful sleeping face, maybe she could even steal a kiss.
It didn't strike you as weird when you accidentally found her little shrine.
Dedicated to you, you even found it cute.
It had some of the hair ties and pins Ayano 'borrowed' from you a long while ago, pictures with the two of you as little children, pre teens and one from the first day of school.
She even kept the doodles you drew for her couple of months ago. Awh,she really is a sentimentalist even if she doesn't show it.
When ayano saw you looking trough her prized possessions she swore she saw her life flash before her eyes.
Heart rate quickening and this panick taking place in her chest. What will you say now? You will definitely hate her and then you won't want to be her friend anymore. How will she see you if you won't be her friend? How will she confess her love to you?
Of course all those thoughts broke when she heard your chuckle. Mind suddenly clear from the anxious rambling in her head.
"Man, why didn't you tell me? If I knew you prized those moments so much I would have taken more photos!" Relief completely washes over her when she sees that grin on your sweet lips. Why was she over thinking in the first place? You never doubted her, you're her loyal friend.
Of course,if you ever were to be creeped out by her she would have to take you, she'd never allow you to leave. After all you two can have a wonderful life together, whether you like it or not.
But that's not the case now, fortunately she doesn't have to drug you and tie you to her bed. How fortunate !
She smiles, nodding and promising to ask you for more photos for her 'prized moments'.
More people started either going missing or end up dead. People who tried taking you away from her, can't they see? You belong with her, you belong to her.
Since people are so stupid, she has to make it obvious and spell it in their face.
Slowly, letters practically spawned in your shoe locker.
Love poems calling you the sweetest of names. You were intrigued who this anonymous fan was,you must say you even tried peeking to see who was leaving them, but failed each time.
Ayano on the other hand was overwhelmed by pride when she heard you rambling about your secret admirer, cutely giggling over one particular sentence or so.
But she also felt... jealous? It doesn't matter that she's the one who wrote them, but seeing you so enamored with this 'anonymous ' person annoyed her.
On occasions she started gifting you chocolate she knew you liked. Mostly doing it because she loved your happy little squeals and that hug that followed after. She loved the feeling of your chest pressed against hers so tightly. Often wondering how it would feel without the layers of clothes on top of it.
This was only a step further to her plan, this way it wouldn't be a shock when she confessed her undying love to you. You will realize she's the only one you deserve, and you'll accept her love, even return it!
By the end of the first school year you're ready for the final part of her plan.
Yeah the people in your class wonder how you two are not dating yet. Of course they can see how deep Ayano is in for you,but you simply can't.
Making you hers. After she worked so hard this whole year to please you and gain your affection (even if she already had it) she's finally ready to spill her feelings to you.
So here she is,hidden behind the Sakura flower tree, waiting for you to join her.
Your secret admirer called you here to tell you something important, right in the last day of school,in case something goes wrong.
She will leave with you in any case scenario, preferably hand in hand ,rather than taking you home in a box,oh well.
If all goes well,by this time next year you will be her beloved girlfriend, but if not, then you'll be in her basement accompanied by her. Easy.
"Ayano?" Your sweet voice calls out once you get a whiff of the dark ponytail behind the thick tree. It's now or never.
And there she goes, spilling her feelings to you hoping you will return them. Telling you how she wrote those letters meaning every single word that was written on the paper. How she spent her afternoons making the chocolate gifted to you.
This of course came off as a surprise to you, never really thinking Ayano would be able to fall for somebody , especially you. Her best friend since first grade. We're you just so obvious you never noticed the signs?
One look at her flushed face and hopeful eyes and you knew that you also liked her all along, you just chose to push those feelings aside due to your fear of them never being returned by the brunette.
Of course you accepted her confession, and returned it of course.
But if you truly knew the things she had to do to have you, never In a million years would you choose to be hers.
Bonus, slightly suggestive
Ayano didn't usually dream, but when she did ,you were the star of the dream.
Most of her dreams would end up with you on display for her. The next morning she would check you out and pout, thinking that it's a long way before she actually gets to see you and touch your naked body.
But a girl can dream,right?

An Unspoken Routine
mike schmidt x f!reader | part 1 ☆1.1k words☆
one sided enemies to lovers, (meaning y/n disliked mike in the beginning) fluff, strangers, becoming friends, misunderstandings, neighbors from across the road
Tumblr media
Abby sat on the steps outside their house. She doodled bunnies and bears while waiting for Mike. He promised to take her to Sparky's Diner after his shift, but he was late yet again. The dark-haired girl sighed, disappointed that her brother was late again, as he had been the previous two times. She slumped against the steps, her head smacking onto the top step a little too hard.
"Ow!" she exclaims, adjusting her posture as she rubs the back of her head, now pouting; the neighbor from across the street, a young woman around her brother's age named Y/N, peered through the curtains; she waters her plants, usually around this time; Abby visits and talks to her once in a while, curious about her and her plants.
Abby perks up at the sight and waves swiftly, instantly forgetting her problems. Abby can hear Y/N's front door creak open as she waves back and smiles sweetly at her. She waters the plants in her yard. Abby heads for the road, looking left and right like her brother taught her. Abby skips over to greet you, and you wave. She sits on the steps of your front door.
“Is your brother late again?” You ask, feeling your brows furrow just at the mention of his name. You didn’t really hate Mike, but you disliked him. This man can’t attend any of Abby’s school events, always mumbling shit about being tired when he sleeps 99.9% of the time.
Abby nods, a slight frown on her lips once more. You ruffle her hair. “It’s okay, I’ll hang out with you instead. Mike’s boring, trust me.” You teased but slightly meant it. You never understood him, and when you heard their aunt come by one day and yell about how he’s unfit to be Abby’s guardian you couldn’t help but agree but Abby always told you otherwise, sometimes she wasn’t the best at communicating so if words got difficult, she’d draw you pictures to make you understand, which actually works really well most of the time.
Abby giggled at your comment, “He is a little boring… but! He’s very funny sometimes. You should really talk to Mike more Y/n!!” She exclaims, her eyes shining but you shook your head. “I’m sure he’s a busy man, Mike probably doesn’t have the time to talk to me.” Abby shakes her head, her hair moving along with the motion. “If he can spend time with me then maybe he can spend time with you too.” she exclaims happily, I nod along for her sake.
The two girls sat on the stairs of Y/n’s house, the older woman leans against the door frame as Abby leans against her. Abby scribbles on her stairs, you don’t really mind since you find her drawings cute, handing you over some chalk for you to draw along with her. You draw a little picture of her with flowers in her hair. Abby squeals happily realizing that you drew her.
She always loved your little doodles of her, and you loved her doodles too. As the two talked about their day and random things a familiar car pulls up into the Schmidt's driveway, almost hitting the mailbox, you see a frustrated look on his face through the rear view mirror. Sighing, Mike wipes his forehead, kills the engine, and steps out. His eyes fall on the drawings by Abby that stretch from the top of their staircase to the path that almost meets the street, giving the impression that they're pouring out of their front door. Does this girl ever run out of energy?
You see him scan around the yard to find Abby, you look to the girl beside you, watching her stare at her older brother, realizing that she found it a little silly that he was trying to find her, you waited to see if she would call him over. You didn’t wanna call out to Mike but with the wide grin on Abby’s face? It looked like she’d wait all day to see if Mike would find her, like an ultimate game of hide and seek.
You straighten up and cup your hands around your mouth.
“Hey, Mike!”
You called out to him, he flinches, unprepared for the abrupt yell. He jerks towards you, his gaze shifting from you to the little troublemaker next to you.
As he approached you, you replied, "Abby stayed over for a bit, I hope you don't mind." He scratched the back of his neck and sheepishly said, "Sorry for the trouble, I'll make sure she doesn't bother you next time."
You take a step forward and meet his gaze. "Don't worry about whether she bothers me; worry about being on time." He glances passed you, hearing this comment from dozen of people in the past. His gaze fixed on Abby. Abby embraces her brother, the corners of her mouth curving into a smile. "Can we go to Sparky's now?" Please, please, please!!" She begs, tugging on his sleeve. "Yeah, yeah we can go right now, c'mon we gotta get to the car."
You could tell he was embarrassed, despite his somewhat frigid and unpleasant demeanor you could see his ears were red. He leads her to the other side of the road but she doesn’t follow, Abby remains standing next to you. Mike turns back, perplexed as to why his sister isn't following him. She was enthusiastic just a moment ago, but now she stares blankly at Mike and you.
“Can Y/n come with us?" Abby gave Mike the biggest doe eyes, caramel chocolate eyes that seemed to shine when the light hit them. You and Mike exchange a brief glance, both with a skeptical expression on your face. For Abby's sake, you didn't mind, but being there for Mike would have been a different story. "I wouldn't mind," you say, grinning at Abby, and she smiles back, pulling you along and dragging you into their car. Mike gazed at the two, a little embarrassed as if he and Abby were bothering you. "Are you sure?" He mouthed, you nodded in reply.
Even though you weren't really expecting it, you appreciated that he checked on you. Still, normal human decency doesn't make you feel any differently about him.
Apart from Abby humming along to the radio, the car trip was silent. However, you could hear the little girl kicking her feet against the box that sits between the driver's seat and the passenger seat, creating a slight thud each time. Mike looks at you, you sit in the passenger seat to his right, the soft glow from the sun setting on your skin, His eyes then shift to Abby. He felt uncomfortable, you rarely spoke to him, and when you did, it was either Abby dragging Mike to talk you or you checking in on her. All sorts of things raced through his mind, such as whether he should make small talk in the car or keep quiet, if he even had enough money in his wallet to cover three people when they eat.
"We’re here!" Abby sings, jolting Mike out of his trance.

A/N: VERY IMPORTANT BIT!!! There's a part two to this, I'll come out within the week (hopefully)
I told myself a long long time ago that I would never write in tumblr or even make a fanfic abt fnaf and yet here I am, you could say this was a change of heart. I've been a fan of the games for a long ass time and I could not resist writing about pathetic sad men who are depressed and anxious

Background details/me blabbing about my askblog yaaay!! Mostly because it's difficult for me to get motivated as it is! Plus maybe after being inactive for 2 years (rip 💀) this will help pique interest? Idk I just wanna talk about my sillies tbh. And the Axolotl needs a break you know? My guy's watching over an entire multiverse.
First off. The post about my LGBTQIA+ headcanons here: https://www.tumblr.com/craycray-wolf/737090570384703488/while-in-wait-for-the-book-of-bill-already-hard?source=share
It's still accurate to how I feel about the characters...mostly. In the time since I made this post, I have since been converted to "Grunkle Stan is bi" and I'm now preaching the Good Word 🤟
Anyway with that now amended, here's some stuff!
I originally made the majority of the posts about where everyone is now back in 2022, when I intended to have the blog launched as part of the 10th anniversary of Gravity Falls airing.
Well clearly that didn't pan (🩷💛💙🍳) out but maybe it was so it could instead coincide with all the revelations from TBoB! Life is kinda a beautiful thing sometimes.
Anyway point being, I'll have to tweak the timeline a bit. Which is fine because I wanted Dippin Dots and Mabes to hold some jobs before college anyway so really my lack of updating is just an excuse for this. That's the major point I could think of but if I didn't properly consider others please sound off 📣 (yes I'm a cringe emoji user AND I'M PROUD)
Soos and Melody are still attempting to conceive because they want at least one bio child if they can but they're working on adoption.
Many assume Gus Burnside to be missing or worse dead. But maybe... he's still out there somewhere...with his physical body fulfilling a deal. But y'know! No one can say for certain!
To be completely honest I'm still figuring out my interpretation of Bill's backstory. Sorry about that.
Though the reason the Axolotl has contacted our dimension to begin with has to do with his concern...about a certain someone. And who better to give a helping hand than the fandom and the Zodiac?
Since Stan taught Wendy how to hot wire vehicles and whatnot, they one day found a fairly intact Harley motorcycle in the dump. They fix it up together and Stan declares it hers. This is where her Harley previously mentioned in other posts comes from.
When did this happen? I've always assumed the Stans come back to land from time to time, including some summers. So likely during summer but a holiday could work too!
Mabel loves being a passenger. Dipper not so much unless he clings tight. Wendy installs a seat back at some point and this helps ease his anxiety. A little. He likes seeing the scenery though so he'll bare through it if asked to ride. Not to mention he cares for Wendy and thus doesn't want to deny her sharing her joy.
Robbie probably figured out he wanted to be an anime artist while doodling in college classes he wasn't paying attention to. Either he was in generals or some other degree at this point. He only drew in private during high school.
THIS NEXT SECTION WILL BE SHIPS 🚨 YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
Pacifica during her high school/diner years thought she like liked Dipper. And well, she was Dipper's rebound crush so at around 15 or so they dated for a while. Pacifica however eventually realizes she's actually a lesbian and was misinterpreting her care for Dippin Dots, as well as thinking she only had so many options initially. Dipper realizes it was to cope with Wendy.
Therefore they cut off romantic ties on good terms and continue to be good friends.
(I have nothing against Dipcifica, it's cute. I'm just personally a Mabcifica person and enjoy my lesbian Pacifica hc)
In their early college years Mabel and Pacifica become girlfriends, LET'S GOOOOOO
Candy and Dipper have began to catch each other's eyes... they've healed from the events of Roadside Attraction in the years since and now they can have a healthier relationship in several ways. I WILL DIE FOR THIS SHIP OKAY
Fiddleford and Ford are sweet old man boyfriends. Though romance baffles Ford it makes enough sense with Fiddleford.
Stan is Stan. Though maybe all of his family coming out awakes something in him... something new to explore about himself...
Past Billford will likely be discussed at some point, though they haven't been a thing for decades and it was toxic to begin with.
Grenda and Marius are of course married ❤️ Candy, Mabel, and Pacifica were her bridesmaids. Mabel and Candy were piling over each other trying to get the bouquet, though Wendy catches it. Uninterested in marriage she throws it back out and reflexively Dipper catches it. After confused for a solid moment he tosses it and finally Pacifica then catches it.
_________
SHIP SECTION FINISHED ⚠️
The Pines Twins revisit Gravity Falls every summer until their high school graduation. Well *maybe* they go one more after graduation but then they have job schedules to contend with.
One of those summers (probably when the Mystery Twins are 15) their parents surprise them with a visit! But then they start to question everything because y'know. Weird town.
Eventually the truth comes out about everything, and they better understand their kids.
It wasn't the easiest summer but an important one.
They let their children return because they know how dearly they love their time there, albeit with ground rules established.
As for their jobs, Mabel was a barista and Dipper restocked shelves at a grocery store.
Dipper now has come to care for his birth name and birthmark. He still likes going by Dipper but he insists that only those close with him use the name. The only reason he still wears bangs is that his hairstyle is just comfortable and familiar. This also keeps his birthmark special as only some get to see it (in full).
Mabel still loves knitting and sweaters, but she's experimented a lot with fashion throughout the years. She now has more variety in her wardrobe than sweaters and skirts.
The twins live in dorms with a couple roommates and return back to their childhood home during holidays and summer. They intend to live in Gravity Falls once they get all their education/credentials.
Waddles is an old man but still kickin'. The parents were initially upset with his presence but were convinced by Stan to begrudgingly keep him. They grew to care for the piggy as well.
The family cat (Sniffles) has since passed :(
They have a dog (Honey) now though! She was a puppy from a dog Dipper once dogsat. The owners didn't realize said dog was preggo. It was a whole thing. Anyway Mabel loves putting her in cute outfits that match Waddles, something she used to do with Sniffles.
Mabel is a k-pop multistan (originating from Candy and Grenda introducing it to her) and absolutely loves drinking boba/jelly milk tea. Dipper likes the sound of k-pop music but isn't a fan the same way his sister is. He likes milk tea but the boba pearls themselves freak him the heck out.
There's a lot more but I'm blanking 🤪

((Part One of my Showbiz AU exposition posts!! Sorry my demons took over. I have more to say but this was already getting too long so I have to chop it up. The actual meat of the AU coming tomorrow.))
Willow Park was discovered in a supermarket when she was two years old while happily swinging her chubby legs back and forth in a shopping cart baby seat, teething on a rainbow coloured set of plastic keys. Her parents were offered the opportunity to get her into commercial modeling for a fat check.
Maybe if the circumstances had been different, Gilbert and Harvey would have rejected the offer on the spot. However, things were not going financially well in the Park household. Harvey had recently been let go from his job and Gilbert was already disowned by his parents, so they didn't have their support to fall back on. And they were scared. They were scared of what would become of Willow if they couldn't afford to take care of her.
The rules they applied to this whole venture were simple. The second it appeared that this lifestyle was taking a negative effect on Willow, they pull her out of it immediately and try something else.
So Willow became a baby model. And the overlap between model and actor was thin enough that she quickly stumbled into the latter. Mainly commercials and movie/TV roles with anywhere from one to a handful of lines. But it paid well and even though she was little, she seemed to enjoy it. She had a captivating stage presence. She was silly and clumsy but directors and audiences found that charming.
When Willow was four, she began repeatedly bumping into another little girl at auditions and they drew little crayon doodles together on the edges of their scripts while they waited their turn. Soon enough, Willow Park and Amity Blight were best friends and lit up every time they saw each other in those high ceiling audition rooms with the weird squeaky floors.
But when Willow was six, going on seven, she did an awful lot of growing. And that changed everything.
Amity had always booked more roles than Willow, but that had never bothered her because she had never known any different. And besides, Willow had always gotten SOMETHING at least.
Willow enjoyed acting and her Dads made sure to never make her aware that they relied on her income for fear of putting that huge responsibility on her shoulders. To her, it wasn't a job, just a fun thing she did.
But once she reached a certain age, it became difficult to book any roles at all. Nothing. Nobody wanted her.
Amity, by comparison, seemed to be getting every role personally handed to her. And this was the point where she abruptly severed ties with her best friend, utterly shattering Willow into a million pieces.
Nobody wanted her. Not even her best friend wanted her. Willow didn't know what had changed so suddenly but it burned under her skin. There was something inherently wrong with her. Nobody wanted her.
Harvey and Gilbert quickly noticed the damage that acting had done to their daughter's self esteem so they quickly drew further away from the spotlight before things got any worse.
Willow did not retire from acting completely. There was still maybe one or two background roles a year. Usually no lines. Just to keep them financially afloat. By this point, both Harvey and Gilbert had found ways to bring home money. It wasn't a lot and they were still scraping by but ultimately, Willow's childhood, education and future were to be prioritized so sacrifices had to be made.
They hoped to retain some sense of normalcy to Willow's life. So, after a year and a half of Harvey's home schooling, Willow was enrolled in public school, where she remained from the ages of 7 to 13.
This was supposed to make things better. And in a way, it did. Or at least it gave Willow the necessary experience to navigate the real world and help her develop into a relatively gentle, wise and down to earth soul. But it was also absolute Hell.
Harvey had always presumed that his daughter was a late bloomer and never thought much of it when she was still reading at a kindergarten level at age 7, but it presented itself as a complete abomination of a problem once she was thrown into the public school system.
Willow was dyslexic. This severely hindered her academic performance, as well as severely hindering her classmates' ability to leave her the fuck alone.
Willow doesn't like to talk about the period of her life where she attended public school. Except maybe in therapy. Or to Hunter at 3:34AM after he's told her something debatably more fucked up about his own childhood. But this was the only point in her life where she felt completely and utterly alone in this world.
She had her Dads, she'd always have her Dads. But she kept the brunt of her misery to herself because she knew that they would make her problems their problems and they were struggling enough as it was.
It was for her. Everything they did was for her. She eavesdropped on the heated debates they had late at night (They should've been asleep too. They had work in the morning) over what the next move was.
They were both painfully aware that Willow's full time acting career brought in the most money but if she didn't want to be in show business anymore, they needed to do whatever it took to make sure she could stay in school and her future was bright. College, university, whatever she wanted. (Harvey had tirelessly studied the best career opportunities and not-so-sutbly attempted to get her on board.)
Truth be told, Willow didn't know what she wanted. All she knew for sure was that she couldn't stay in public school a moment longer. She didn't know how to feel about acting these days. It was a mixed bag. But it was definitely preferable to the torture chamber of a middle school girls bathroom.
When Willow was thirteen, she reactivated her acting career, and she did it with a smile on her face. She hoped that her parents could maybe sleep soundly for the first time in six years.
She got lucky. Miraculously lucky. She wasn't sure if she believed in God after the last six years but SOMEBODY out there was looking out for her. Because near immediately, they found a casting call that read: "Age 12-14. Female. Plus size. Non-White." A casting call that Willow had never seen in all her years in show business, (at least not the ones her Dads approved of) let alone for a gig in one of the most popular tweenage networks on television. And this was no background position either, but a lead role.
If Willow could book this, her family would be set.
So, she read for the role. Well, she memorized the script after staying up till 2am with Gilbert. And she put her acting experience to use by pretending to read a script.
And that was how Willow booked the role of Paulina on television's upcoming tween phenomenon 'Hexside', a series about wacky shenanigans in a witches high school.
She was quick to learn that while she would have a significant presence on the show, she was not the leading lady, but rather, the ditzy quirky best friend.
The actual protagonist and Willow's co-star who she'll be spending the next several months with? (and possibly years if season 1 is a success)
Amity Blight.

Richard and Sonic the Tulpa
TW// blood, self harm, Tulpamancy, abuse, drug abuse, pills, school massacre, death and murder
I’m Richard Pastel, I don't have any social life nor any friends, just acquaintances that barely tolerate me. I've been jobless for about two years, I'm barely living by a thread at my university. My comfort series is Sonic The Hedgehog, I love the series with the amazing gameplay to the funny shows and the complicated comics. I love the blue blur, he’s so cool in every aspect.
As I was searching up random shit on Reddit, I came up with a new discoverie, Tulpas, some kind of imaginary-friend on steroids? From what I've read I can make one with my mind, to be whatever I want it to be, a being materialized in my brain.
I want one. I deserve a friend, I’m tired of being alone, I'll create one, and make it my best friend forever…
I went all out, I went to all of the posts that talked about it, and started taking notes on how to do it step by step.
I could not wait, I was so excited, I can finally have someone to talk to! someone who would understand me, someone who wouldn’t abandon me.
Now, it’s pretty obvious who’s gonna be the lucky one, Sonic. I've loved him since I was a child. His games, shows and comics were there for me, now HE will be here for me.
So it started, I wrote some notes on how Sonic would act, his personality, basically how I want him to be, alongside I drew a small doodle of him, sadly I messed up by how fast I was doing it, I colored his arms blue, such a dumb mistake, god dammit.
But let’s get to the point. I've set up in my bed laying on the wall, while my computer was playing Marble Zone from Sonic 1, I closed my eyes and started… praying?
I was really concentrating on creating Sonic, I didn't open my eyes for a while.
until, i’ve heard something, I opened my eyes, the sound continued, was coming off the kitchen, i’ve ran into there to see what happened,
Standing there it was, Sonic the Hedgehog, the blue blur himself, but there were some noticeable differences, he was not wearing his gloves nor his shoes, and his arms were blue? But i was too excited to care about it now, I couldn't believe it, it worked! My cheeks were burning from happiness
“You good there lil buddy?”
“IT WORKED! IT WORKED!”
I jumped up and down
“Hey buddy! Slow down there!!”
“Sorry- I just got a little excited”
I kneel down to be in his view.
“So, you’re the tulpa I created?”
“Yup! on the flesh! Or whatever i’m made out of haha”
“Hehe, What an awful joke!”
Sonic made a silly face.
We get out of the dorm and went to the campus.
“What a beautiful day!”
Sonic said while running in circles around me.
After we spent the afternoon walking and taking interviews for job opportunities, I got in my dorm.
I invited Sonic to my room, and he rapidly sat in my bed.
“damn what’s all this stuff? How do you sleep in here?”
He remarked looking at all my hoarding stored in my bed.
I felt pretty offended, so I ignored the question.
I lay in bed and fastly sleep
The tulpa decided to sleep next to me, similar to a cat.
I slowly wake up, to a sound of Sonic trying to wake me up
“Richard, wake up, wake up you’re gonna be late for class!!”
“uuuugh okay, i’m getting up!”
I get my materials packed up and go to the classroom, and there i am sitting alone near the window again, but now i have Sonic, he sit on the empty chair, he gives me a huge smile, i give back a small smile
the lesson goes as normal, as i was leaving Tom raynott came up to me
“Hey there Rich! How’s it going my guy?”
“What do you want Raynott?”
“Sorry to bother you, but you’re still looking for a job, right? Me and friends found a ice cream shop nearby that’s hiring and i though-”
“You think I need your help?! I can do this myself, I don't need your pity, okay, Raynott?!”
Kyle Goldman get’s in front of Tom, towering over me.
“Look my guy, Tom just wanted to help you, I don't know why you’re acting up like this!”
“Kyle it’s okay-”
I let out a sigh before I left the classroom, and when I was in the corridor I heard Tom’s voice from the classroom.
“See you next class Richard!”
Walking to the cafeteria, i heard fast footsteps behind me, ii give a look behind my shoulder and see Sonic
“Hey Rich, what happened there?”
“Look, i don’t like people rubbing my struggles in my face”
“Don’t you think he was trying to help?-” “Are you just gonna be nagging me? Look i don’t need help”
“i’m sorry…”
“let’s just get something to eat, i’m starving”
“Yeah me too…”
We get to the cafeteria, get a basic cheap lunch, i fastly eat it, and I see Sonic with a sad expression.
“I still feel hungry…”
“Me too, but I barely have money to buy anything that will fill my belly.”
“Oh…”
“Just let’s go…”
“Okay…”
We get in class, as the professor talks, i get light headed, not a surprised, this is normal at this point, i briefly try to close my eyes, but Sonic comes up to me, talks loud so i don’t sleep
“Rich! Don’t sleep, you need to pay attention!”
“Richard! Wake up!! Wake up!!”
“CAN YOU SHUT THE FUCK UP!”
Then I notice everyone starts to look at me, And the professor glares at me with an angry expression.
“Sir Pastel, if you don’t want to take this class, the door is right there, I think it is better for you to leave if you’re gonna keep up this attitude.”
Everyone starts to laugh, I pick my bag, and quickly get out of the classroom, my eyes watering in rage by the shame I felt. As i fastly walked to my dorm room, I slammed the door shut, I sat in my bed and started crying. Sonic gets near me.
“Rich, Why did you scream? You needed to pay attention to the class!”
“THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT! WHY CAN’T YOU LEAVE ME ALONE AND SHUT THE FUCK UP FOR FIVE SECONDS?!”
“I’m… only trying to help… I'm sorry…”
“I AM TIRED OF YOUR BULLSHIT, WHY DON’T YOU DO WHAT I TELL YOU?? WHY CAN’T YOU JUST- AARRGH”
Sonic looks down with an expression of guilt and fear, almost crying.
“I’m so-sorry…”
I get a boxcutter in my drawer, I extend it, and fastly cut my wrist.
“AAAHHH!!! w-wha…”
I get scared by the sudden scream coming from Sonic, he’s holding his wrist, with blood coming out of it, the same spot i cutted it my wrist.
“What was that?!”
“you… hurted me…”
“I did nothing to you!”
“it hurts…”
“Can you stop whining??”
“Rich, please, it hurts…”
“It’s just a cut, it will heal soon, can you please stop whining?!”
“It hurts…”
“STOP WHINING!”
As I screamed, I heard I knocked at my door, I let out a tired sigh and went to answer the door.
“Hey Rich! Just wanted to check up on you, is everything alright?”
It was Tom Raynott, trying to nag me again.
“I’m alright Raynott, please leave.”
I try to close the door me Tom pulled the door to not close
“Hey man, you had an outburst in the class today, you know i’m always here for you, just tell me what happened.”
He makes that cute but annoying puppy eyes
as he’s holding the door, he notices my bloody wrist.
“What 's that?”
“HEY!-”
He picks my wrist with a strong grip, looking at my cut, then at me with a disappointed expression.
“Oh…”
“If I tell you what’s happening will you leave me alone Raynott?”
“Pinky promise! just let me help you Rich”
“I’ve been hearing voices these past days, i can’t barely concentrate, and and i can’t find a job, and i’ve had barely nothing to eat, and I’m just tired… I just feel like I’ll drop dead at any moment.”
“oohh… i’m so sorry to hear that Rich, look, i can’t do much, but i can give you some help”
“I feel pretty ashamed, but I'm very desperate. anything that works is good for me at this point.”
“Well me and my friend Romeo are able to get some meds, I could lend you some to help calm the voices down a little, how does that sound?”
“Sounds great, thanks Tom.”
“AAWWNN YOU SAID MY NAME-”
I immediately frowned and slammed the door in his face.
With a muffled sound I hear Tom.
“HEYY!! Richh, don’t be so meeeeaan”
“Stop acting like this, just give me the meds Raynott”
“Oki doki! brb! And please, don’t hurt yourself, is not good”
“Okay Raynott.”
“W-what do you think you’re doing?!”
I see Sonic standing with a worried look on his face.
“...”
“P-please Richard don’t, i promise i’ll be better, i promise i’ll stop nagging you, just please don’t”
“I don’t even remember why I created you.”
He gets on his knees and starts sobbing.
I hear the knocking again, I open the door, Tom Raynott again, now with Romeo Jones beside him.
“Hope you don’t mind i bringed Romeo too!”
“Sup”
“It’s okay, did you bring the meds?”
“Oh yeah it’s here!”
He brings out a pack of Xanax and Paroxetine, I picked up the pack and thanked them.
“Thanks Raynott”
“Don’t forget to thank my pal Romeo too, he’s the one who gets the meds”
“sigh…  Thanks you too Ivey”
“Don’t need to act like it’s a chore man, and don’t call me that, just call me Romeo.”
“...You two can go now, i’ll see if it works, thanks for the help”
I close the door, and hear their footsteps heading out, as I turn my back and I see Sonic still sobbing on the floor.
“P-please give me another chance! I’m sorry
I’m sorry
I’M SORRY
I’M SORRY
𝕀’𝕄 𝕊𝕆ℝℝ𝕐
ⓘ’𝓜 𝓢𝐎ℝℝ¥”
He grabs my feet pleading to me, to not take the pill, i can’t handle this pity party, i can’t handle this brat anymore. In rage, I kick his face, it starts to bleed immediately from his nose, now he’s crying louder than before. I fastly get to the kitchen and get a cup of water, I drink both pills down, as I wait for them to take effect, I look and see Sonic on the floor mopping.
“I-i’m so-sorry, I'm sorry for failing you Rich… I promise I'll be better…”
I just get in bed and I try to sleep. As i wake up, i pick up my phone seeing i was late for class, i get my bag and quickly get in the classroom. As i open the door everyone looks at me, I can feel each one’s thoughts on me… and the professor looks at me with a very disappointed look.
“Hm… late again i see Sir Pastel, go to your seat”
“yes sir…”
I get on my seat, and everything goes as normal. Finally, that brat is not in my ear 24/7 anymore. I feel my head is spinning, and my vision is blurry, but I stand my ground. I won’t leave the class until it is over this time. And before i even know it, the class is over, Tom comes near me and touches my shoulder.
“Hey Rich, you good?”
“yeah, yeah, the annoying voice stopped now”
“Glad to hear that! Also would you like to change contacts? Since we’re friends now hehe”
“huh…? okay…”
I pick my phone and give it to him so he can put his number, while he does the same with me.
“Call me whenever ya need Rich!”
“Thanks Raynott.”
He made a peace sign and left the classroom with his friends, with Kyle Goldmann strangely missing? those two were glued like moths to lamps, but whatever not my problem. I wanted to eat something, but my money ran out. I feel my eyes water, but there’s nothing for me to do.
I just get to my room, and get on my bed, just feeling tired and sad.
Why can't I do anything right?
I just want to die.
as my self hating thoughts consume me, i slowly fell a sleep
“PLEASE COME BACK, I’M SORRY I PROMISE I’LL BE BETTER PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PᴸEᴬSᴱ”
I woke up five hours later, all sweaty and hyperventilating, I felt my heart sink, I looked at the end of my bed, standing there… was Sonic…
but he looked a little different, his fur had grown a little darker, some fluff growed from his cheeks and he was filled with bruises on his thighs and wrists.
“W-what…”
“I MISSED YOU
I MISSED YOU SO BAD
SO BAD
𝕀 м𝐈SS𝕖𝒹 Ƴόย
ᔕỖ 𝓢ⓞ BⒶᵈ
my head felt so dizzy, i couldn't see anything, but YOU’RE BACK! “
“WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?”
“The meds effect wore off, but i’ve learned my lesson, i promise i’ll not fail you this time.”
He looked desperate, but I was having none of that shit. I tried to get to the kitchen to get the last pills but Sonic was desperate to not disappear again.
“NO PLEASE, PLEASE NO, I PROMISE I’LL BE BETTER”
When my hands get near the pills, he starts screaming, and hears bleeding screaming, and I accidentally dropped them.
“STOP IT SCREAMING, STOP IT!!! AAAHHH!!! SHUT UP!”
As the screaming continued, it came to a pause when I heard a knock at the door. I opened to see it was Maxwell Jones, my neighbor. I think he heard me screaming.
“Hey mate, you good? I heard some screaming from my room.”
“I’m just- Wait you’re Raynott’s friend right?”
“You mean Tom? yeah we are-”
“DO YOU HAVE ANY XANAX WITH YOU?”
“No i don’t… but i do have adderall”
“Would that calm the voices down?”
“Fuck no, that’s a focus drug”
“Fuuucccckkkk”
“I can call Tom if ya want”
“PLEASE!!!”
“Sheesh, okay just wait a sec”
Maxwell picks his phone and calls Tom, i just observe while he’s talking
“Hey Tom, you know your friend Richard?
Yeah the smelly one.
Look, he said he needs some help, and can you be here to help him out a lil bit?
he has been screaming, and i want to study, please come quick.”
As we wait, we hear some fast footsteps, we see Tom running down the hall, when he gets near he almost trips over himself.
“Sorry! Got here as fast as I could! Here I bringed some more meds!”
He brings out a small plastic bag with some drugs, I could not recognize most of them.
“Would these help silence the voices?’
“Well, not forever, I've noticed you’re not that well put together, so I recommend talking to a professional.”
“That’s not an option.”
“Oh..”
he looked at me with a worried expression, then he looked at Maxwell, Maxwell made a shrug expressing i was a lost cause.
“Be careful with those, just take one at a time, it might be dangerous”
“Is okay, thank you.”
“Are you really gonna do this?”
I see Sonic standing in the corner, strangely more tall and thin than before, with even more cuts on his wrists and thighs.
“I AM DONE WITH YOU. YOU JUST MADE MY LIFE WORSE.”
“I thought you wanted me? I thought you wanted a friend?”
“SHUT THE FUCK UP!”
“I’M ONLY DOING WHAT YOU WANTED RICHARD.”
“YOU RE USELESS! YOU’RE A GOOD FOR NOTHING, I HATE YOU, I WISH YOU WERE DEAD YOU LITTLE IMBECILE SHIT!”
“...”
Tears started to fall from his face, he gags a little.
I pick up the pills, he immediately notices my intentions.
“Don’t you dare Richard.”
I picked all the pills at once and gulp them down, was hard with no water, but I did it.
“NO NO NO NO Ňσ η𝐎 几𝕆!!!”
He starts to contort, scream, and… grow?
His body expands, his ribs tear through his skin, exposing it, his face disappearing, a X scar expands and his body gets more abstract. like gas is coming out of him??
“WHAT THE FUCK?!”
My head gets a little dizzy, it seems like taking all of the drugs at once was not a good idea at all…
Sonic… no. that thing, starts to laugh like a maniac, As the laughter gets louder and louder and I feel my body getting heavier, and it all went black.
As I slowly wake up, or atleast hope I woke up, I see that I'm in my bed, but…
what?
I can’t- I CAN’T MOVE MY BODY?!
Why? Why? WHY???
As i try to struggle, i hear a laughter
I try to speak, but I can't.
Is that thing again, i can’t even make out what expression it’s making.
“Seems like your plan backfired hahaha…”
Those meds! I shouldn't have taken them all at once, maybe they’re the reason I'm paralyzed now.
“Exactly…”
It slowly walked near the bed, then it got up in the bed, holding my shoulders and breathing near my face, I could feel it like it was real. Is this really happening?? I’m scared
Please just let me go
“WHY??”
“KILL YOURSELF, KILL YOURSELF, KILL YOUSELF, KILL YOURSELF, KILL YOURSELF, KILL YOURSELF, KILL YOUSELF, KILL YOURSELF, KILL YOURSELF, KILL YOUSELF, KILL YOURSELF, KILL YOURSELF, KILL YOURSELF, KILL YOURSELF, KILL YOUSELF, KILL YOURSELF, KILL YOURSELF, KILL YOURSELF, KILL YOURSELF, KILL YOURSELF, KILL YOURSELF”
He screamed in my ear for what felt like hours. I wanted to cry, but I couldn't. I want to call for help, but I can't. I want to scream; but I can’t.
WHAT HAVE I DONE TO DESERVE THIS?
I DON’T WANT TO DIE.
“KILL YOURSELF, KILL YOURSELF, KILL YOUSELF, KILL YOURSELF, KILL YOURSELF, KILL YOURSELF, KILL YOUSELF, KILL YOURSELF, KILL YOURSELF, KILL YOUSELF, KILL YOURSELF, KILL YOURSELF, KILL YOURSELF, KILL YOURSELF, KILL YOUSELF, KILL YOURSELF, KILL YOURSELF, KILL YOURSELF, KILL YOURSELF, KILL YOURSELF, KILL YOURSELF”
It feels like days i’ve been in here, unable to move, hearing this screaming non stop, please make this torture stop!
Then he stopped, he looked directly in my eyes. Those terrifying dilated eyes.
“I promise I'll make you happy…”
As it said those words, I hear a loud bang coming from my door, It was Tom?? please Tom save me.
As i hear the fast footsteps get to my room
I see a dagger go through the Tulpa’s body and stab me in the abdomen. I could not recognize the person who did this.
The Tulpa fastly notices what just happened, but it screams in confusion and denial.
“NO NO NO NO Ňσ η𝐎 几𝕆!!!”
ACK!-
it got on my Arteries, I don’t want to die! Not this way, not right now, please… It feels so cold.
I feel all my blood coming out, I feel my bed all wet.
“PLEASE RICHARD, STAY WITH ME”
I don’t want to die, please, I'm sorry Tom.
“RICHARD PLEASE, PLEASE LOOK AT ME”
I feel lighter, and… i… can’t… hear… him… anymore…
                         X
“NO NO NO NO Ňσ η𝐎 几𝕆!!!”
“I Can’t feel him anymore… where did he go?”
“Rich? please… i’m sorry”
“What happened…?”
“Where did he go…?”
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry…”
“Please come back!”
“I promise i’ll do better”
“i-i i promise i won’t annoy you again”
“Rich… please come back…”
As Tulpa was weeping, a police officer passed by the door and saw Richard’s body
“CHIEF! We got another one!”
“Wow, he got killed in his sleep, poor guy.”
“This is such a tragedy…”
“LEAVE!!!”
Tulpa screams, but they can’t hear him, so his only choice is to ignore them.
After some time a team comes and take Richard’s body
Tulpa tried to stop them, but he couldn't
“LEAVE HIM ALONE!! GET OFF HIM!”
After they got in the car, Tulpa was unable to keep up.
“Please don’t go…”

“Can't count the years on one hand that we've been together,
I need the other one to hold you, make you feel, make you feel better.”
Donghyuck's pretty sure that you're the only person from high school that he still bothers to be around, it's been approximately 9 years since the day you two met. 9 years since the day he awkwardly sat next to you in seventh grade, 9 years since the day you drew dick doodles in his notebook as a form of icebreaker since you didn't know any other way of talking to him. It was safe to say that he was more than surprised to see flying dick doodles in his spiral notebook when he got back to class after lunch, still he was somehow amused by the scribbles and the little message you left him introducing yourself.
He immediately talked to you the moment you came  back inside the classroom with your earphones in. He still remembers it so clearly, the way you offered him the left piece of your earphones so you two can listen to music in secret, the teacher had already arrived and you two didn't have enough time to speak to each other. Donghyuck would say it was fate, others would say paramore's just too mainstream, but he didn't care. A cute girl liked the same bands as him, so he made it his goal to get closer to you.
And so you two bonded over music, something you both loved with your whole heart and soul. It was through countless concerts and after-school trips to the record store that got you closer and soon enough you two started messing with GarageBand, creating a few silly songs that were the epitome of teen angst, it was always in good fun. But Donghyuck suddenly came to you with a brilliant proposal one calm afternoon when you were hanging out his room.
"So there's like a battle of the bands at school every year... You sing right? Do you feel like making a band?"
"Yeah, sure..." You had shrugged mindlessly while painting his pinky finger black, mind a bit pre-occupied with what was happening back at home. But Donghyuck takes no notice from this, it was a simple reply but he didn't bother to press further, he could just rally up a few of his friends to start up this band, and if you ever do complain he can also scream blasphemy in your face. Plus he was enjoying the calm atmosphere, so he didn't want to ask any more questions. Well it was as calming as it could get since All Time Low was blasting through his bedroom's speakers, volume maxed out to the point it could make anyone’s ears bleed.
It took him quite a while to fill in missing band mates since you two weren't the most liked people at school, but eventually after a few persuasive talks over milkshakes you two have built a band by the end of February, a little too late for the battle of the bands event. But you all decided that it would be fun to congregate as the band geeks instead of going back to being the outcasts of the school. So practices were held in your basement everyday, you insisted on it since you were trying to spite your parents as much as you could, you hated your life at home, but you could bear the presence of your family if you had some friends around.
Skip a few years and here you are again as "The Innocents"—you honestly don't know why you agreed to the stupid band name, but you lacked the creativity and energy to argue with a caffeinated Donghyuck at 4 am when he had proposed it to the group chat. Although Hendery had complained fifteen times before practice that day, everyone still ended up in your basement, practicing for the annual battle of that bands event your school held, a final hurrah before ending high school.
Donghyuck loved playing the drums, he was drawn to the instrument since a young age so he did he have a natural sense of beat and rhythm. But what he liked the most was the view he got from the back. Not only could he watch the whole band work around the stage, he also had the best view of you. He enjoyed watching you jump around, how you would sometimes lick the side of Jeno’s face whenever you felt a bit mischievous, the way you would laugh at the middle finger he'd throw at you, the way you'd practically lay yourself down the center of the stage as you sang your heart out.
You naturally had the talent, that much was certain. Donghyuck always felt entranced whenever you took on the stage bravely, being the frontman was of course the most challenging position of all. But the way you handled the spotlight made it look so easy, as if you were made to be holding a mic since birth. It was as if you were dancing your own symphony and the rest of the band was nothing but a harmony struggling to follow through since your energy was too overwhelming at times.
But somehow you always made it work, no matter how much your band mates hated it, there was always something unique about the way you presented yourself onstage, demanding the audience's attention. No one was brave enough to even try being in your position, so they had let you bask in the limelight for the most part. But there was particular day you seemed different, as if you had been tuned down. There was something wrong and it was obvious enough to everyone that Jeno had to make up an excuse to leave early with Hendery. They had left abruptly to let you talk it out with Donghyuck, since well, he's your best friend.
Little did they know that you two have been casually fucking for the past year since the time Donghyuck confessed his feelings for you. You haven't given the relationship between you two a label since you weren’t really one to be tied down, but he was glad enough to be even be able to hold you.
You reveal to him that your parents were about to get a divorce, and as much as a shock it was to receive this news, what shocked him more was the moment you sat on his lap. You two were still situated in front of the drum set, but Donghyuck didn't seem to mind. So he helps you take your seat, arms wrapping around your waist as your fingers find its way onto the little hairs at the back of his neck, Donghyuck gulps when he sees you bring out a stick of cigarette.
"What? I'm stressed," You smiled wearily as you lit the cigarette. You take a sharp inhale before blowing the smoke to his face, he scrunches his nose.
"Are you sure you're okay? divorces can be-"
You cut him off by placing the lit cigarette to his lips, the tiny smirk on your face made him frown. You raised an eyebrow at him while you waited, you really didn't feel like talking about your parents, so you evaded it the the same way you'd usually evade him whenever he brought up anything about feelings. He paused for a moment to look at you before inhaling from the cigarette, immediately coughing afterwards. His eyes a little teary as he muttered a small "jesus christ”, you giggled before taking his face into your hands. You push back a few strands of hair as you admired his forehead, he had done nothing but stare back at you.
"Don't tell me you'll leave me too" you whispered as you nuzzled your nose against his neck.
Donghyuck lets out the breath he was holding, gently caressing your backside as he chuckled, finally relaxing into your arms. He knew that it was wrong for you two to not speak about your personal lives that much, since it was pretty obvious you were having troubles at home. But he knew how much you hated to feel feelings, so he never overstepped boundaries. He lets you be for the most part, except for times he reminded you that it’s okay to open up to him. You were always quick dismiss him, telling him you were a big girl and you didn't want to bother or burden him. As much as he'd like to keep insisting, he'd rather just leave you be.
"If I say I love you will you stay forever?" you mumbled as you kissed the mole on his neck, smudging a bit of lipstick on his sun-kissed skin.
Donghyuck felt his heart drop to his stomach,  taking your face into his large palms, caging you into his gaze to see if you were joking, or if you had any doubts behind your gaze. but he was met with the softest gaze he's ever seen on you. Your mascara and eyeliner were running down your cheeks, the little black heart you drew in this morning was smudged to a dot on your pretty face. And a few might say you looked like a mess as tears rimmed your eyes, donghyuck could only think about how much he wanted to kiss you.
"You'll always have me" he whispered, bringing your face towards his. It felt hot, too hot that his skin actually felt like burning the moment your hands touched his backside under his shirt. the kiss was passionate, filled with so much heat and lust that it felt dangerous, he was seconds away from being burned alive; but you suddenly pulled away.
"I love you," you whispered against his mouth, lips brushing past each other as each syllable left your mouth. Your nose gently touched his as you breathed him in, gripping onto his biceps as best as you can, desperate in needing to feel him against you.
Donghyuck does not reply, he simply brings your lips back to his. And as much as he wanted to be more gentle, to take his time with you and make you feel how much he worshipped your body, but your passion burnt too hot that he couldn't smother it. He lets it consume him, his whole being as he loses himself in you, too consumed by your flare and embers to notice how he was slowly burning himself out, that he himself was going to be smothered by you.
“It's not a walk in the park to love each other.
But when our fingers interlock, can't deny, can't deny, you're the worth it.”
"Why are you making such a big deal out of this!?" you screamed, eyes reddening from stress as you pulled at your hair, hard enough to rip a few strands out.
"Johnny's just a fucking friend!" you continued, about to leave the room to run away but he cages you against the wall, hands gripping your shoulders harshly, he was bound to leave marks.
"Baby i'm pretty sure friends don't suck each other off in restaurant bathrooms" he snarled, his voice masked with so much venom that if it were a different person they would be quivering with their knees buckling, but you were different, so you stood your ground.
"I already said I love you what do you fucking want from me?" you laughed coldly, crossing your arms against your chest.
"Love... I'm your boyfriend, I don't know how fucked up your brain is, but don’t tell me you don't know what a boyfriend is." he groans in annoyance, pushing himself away from you. The fighting had been so frequent that you two would be at each other's throats more often than not. The added stress from university and his side jobs was finally ticking him off, he was at his breaking point and he didn't know how long he could still be with you when you were blatantly cheating on him.
"Let's break up then." you muttered, looking down at your feet.
"Fine." He mumbled in defeat, taking a seat on the couch. He buries his face into his palms, trying his best to calm down while his breathing increased. He didn't realized what he had agreed to until he heard his door slam shut. That was the moment he knew he made a mistake, he had let you go too easily. You on the other hand, couldn't help but be the happiest you've been the whole week, finally free. And while Donghyuck was left to try and fix what was left between the two of you, you were out to get coffee, living freely as if nothing had happened.
“Cause after all this time
I'm still into you...”
You sang with the tiniest smile, hiding behind your bangs as you tried your best to jump around the stage and keep eye contact with the blonde male sat front row. It's been 8 months since you and donghyuck broke up and yet you've already found a new boy, some dude you accidentally spilled coffee on. Some random dude who asked for your number and you easily said yes, some random dude that caught your eye. Although it's been months since the breakup, Donghyuck couldn’t help but feel bitter; you had broken his world in half and somehow you still looked fine.
A normal person would walk away. A normal person would leave you and realize how toxic and dangerous you were to the people around you, how you pushed everyone away the second they get too close. But somehow Donghyuck was different, he doesn't know why or how he's doing it, but he sticks by your side. Agreeing to still be in the band and staying as friends, since of course we all fuck our best friends once in our lives right? But like the dumb lapdog he was, he accepted your apology at 12 am in the morning when you showed up drunk at his doorstep. Maybe it was the side of him desperately clinging onto you, looking for some sort of closure or any sign of you regretting the breakup, but months had passed and the days seemed normal for you.
He knew how wrong it was, don't mistake him for someone who's stupid enough to let a girl trample over his heart. He somehow just couldn’t keep away, you had broken him to the point that he didn't want anyone else unless it was you. It really was all so stupid in retrospect. He's handsome, irresistible, and incredibly hot so he could easily grab anyone he wanted but somehow he always ends up pining after you.
No matter how many girls and guys he sees he always ends up in the exact same spot, in the back, sat on his drum set to watch you jump around and light up the stage. But this time you brought a whole different aura, it was his first time seeing you shy. Was it that random Mark guy you started seeing? It's not likely that you'd let the guy stick around, you hated being tied down.  Yet Donghyuck feared this was different, since well, you really seemed off this week since you met Mark.
You don’t even show up at his place shit-faced at 3am every weekend anymore. You even attended some of your classes because Mark would be in them. You smoked less and it seemed like you were finally getting your life together. Did this stranger have that kind of effect on you? Nevertheless Donghyuck could feel the anger bubble in his stomach as he hams up his drumming, annoyed and frustrated at how hard you were to read. he didn't notice that he had been banging at the drums so loud that it muffled out your singing, confusing both Jeno and Hendery who were eyeing him from the sidelines. This continues until the end of the song, but you didn't seem to mind since you decided to ignore it, busy staring at Mark as he smiled shyly at you, raising his glass as you continued to sing your heart out.
“I should be over all the butterflies but I'm into you, I'm into you.
And even baby our worst nights I’m into you, I'm into you.”
After the last set, you were gulping down the beer Jeno handed you, messily wiping your lips with the back of your hand as you looked for a blonde college boy in the crowd. It wasn't long until you're met with the cutest smiles, his shy eyes hiding behind his glasses as he complemented how great you were, it was his first time watching you sing.
"I wasn't that bad was I?" you asked, giggling playfully, you placed the empty bottle on the counter behind him.
"You were great! the best even," he chuckled as he wrapped his arm around you, his scent engulfed you. You gladly tucked yourself into his arm, you fitted perfectly.
"Mhmm? Then why can't you look me in the face?" you challenged, laughing at the way Mark coughed up his drink from embarrassment.
"Well I don't usually see you dressed up.... like this" he mumbled shyly, of course he hasn't. What you were wearing wasn't necessarily your Sunday's best. You’re pretty sure Mark's father, who's a pastor, wouldn't be too happy to see you showing up for a family dinner in a lace crop top and ripped skinny jeans.
"It's how I usually dress for the gigs, it's not ugly is it...?" you pouted, and as much as you hated acting cute, you loved watching Mark squirm.
Mark wasn't even able to reply when your band mates' presence was made known by  Hendery who ordered everything available in the bar. You couldn't help but giggle while watching your friend drink shot after shot, he offered you some but you declined since you didn't want to get shit-faced in front of Mark, you were better than that. You knew he was totally out of your league, being the perfect christian college boy studying english literature, he's probably the type who'll marry a pretty trophy wife that will give him three beautiful kids. You didn't even know why Mark gave you a chance, you were practically trash on the side of the road compared to him.You were struggling enough to get by with the gigs and college funds, but he doesn’t seem to mind when you would come up empty-handed during dates, he would gladly spoil you— so consider yourself lucky.
"Hyuck you're not looking too hot" Jeno says it while checking the drummer’s temperature, the brunette simply pushed his hand away, trying his best to avoid your gaze.
"I'm fine" he rolled his eyes, opening a few buttons of his silk shirt, grabbing the attention of some of the ladies near the bar.
"What do you mean? Hyuck's hot as fuck!" Hendery shouted, most probably drunk. Jeno tries to pull the shot glass away but it only ends up spilling all over the counter, Mark scrunches his nose in disgust.
"Wouldn't you know?" Hendery continued pointing towards you, he wiggles his eyebrows suggestively. Mark's arm drop from your shoulder, you suddenly freeze from his comment.
"Yeah wouldn't you know sunflower?" Donghyuck smirked, eyes meeting with those of Mark's who looked uncomfortable. You tried shooting him a glare, telling him to stop ruining your night, you wanted to finally shoot your shot with Mark. The blonde made you feel different, he made you feel stable and safe, it’s been a long time since you last felt this way. You didn’t even know you were still capable of developing feelings and you haven't felt this way towards anyone so you really didn't want to mess it up. But to your anguish, Mark's curiosity got the better of him.
"Oh yo wait, so you two... were a thing?" Mark coughed awkwardly, his hand going to grip your waist which made you perk up.
"Yeah we've known each other for quite... some time, so it's natural that we've tried stuff" Donghyuck shrugged, putting his hands in his pockets to hide the way he's balling up his fists.
"Yeah but that was like a decade ago, we don't really-"
"Pretty sure 8 months isn't a decade long love" Donghyuck raised his eyebrow, a little smirk makes his way as he sees Mark's grip on your waist falter.
"So do you two still...?"
"No! No, never again... Why would I when I already have you?" you immediately cut Mark off, he's startled by your reply but he still smiles at you, not as bright as the ones he'd shoot you when were onstage. There was a long awkward pause but thankfully Mark speaks up.
"Well! I have like four essays due tomorrow, so I'm gonna have to head out. Want me to drive you home?" he offers, and you were about to accept but you saw Donghyuck raising an eyebrow at you so you stop yourself.
"I would but... We still have a second set, I... I'll call you" you said worried that he'd be turned off with the idea that you had slept with your best friend who you're still friends with by the way, but he simply shook his head as if he was telling you to not worry about it. He kisses your forehead gently before saying goodbye to the rest of the boys. You watch his retreating figure but you weren't able to see him exit the club's doors because it's not long before you feel a strong grip on your left wrist and you're being dragged to somewhere.
“Let 'em wonder how we got this far,
'Cause I don't really need to wonder at all.”
Donghyuck leads you to the club's dirty bathroom, lowly lit with the purple and pink lights. He locks the door behind him but the vibrations of the club's speakers pounded against the door, it was still just as deafening as it was outside. Donghyuck stares at your face for a moment, thinking of what words to say. He watched the way you pursed your lips, you probably were thinking the same, so he beats you to speaking.
"Second set? I'm pretty sure we're done for the night sweetheart-" Donghyuck's stopped mid sentence by your hand coming across his face with a harsh slap, he smiles sadistically when he looks up at you.
"Yeah there's no second set but I had to tell you this" you said, eyes lit with a fire he's never seen before.
"Don't. Ruin. Mark. For. Me." you spat as you pushed him with your finger, backing him up against the club's door. His smirk finally falters, he looked just as confused and annoyed the day you two broke up.
"What? Everything I said was true, doesn't he deserve to know? Let him wonder how we got this far... If he ever doubts your feelings for him, then he doesn't deserve you"
You think about how it's actually the other way around, because for the first time in your life, you're finally making a change for the better. Since your abusive past and your parents' divorce you had always been problematic. Rebelling against your mother since she had refused to accept to support your band. You lived buck-wild, mostly relying on Donghyuck for sustenance. You thought your hate for the people around you was reasonable because of your parents, so you closed off everyone, including Donghyuck. You rebelled and used people as much as you liked, you thought it was only fair you'd reciprocate the hurt the world had given you. But after meeting Mark, it felt like a breath of fresh air, he made you feel alive, like you still had a chance to do the right thing.
"I just don't want to ruin things with him, he's... different" You whispered softly, gripping his silk button-up. Donghyuck laughs cold at this, switching your positions so that you were the one with your back against the door, he cages you against it, making you feel small as he traced your jawline.
"What? are you into virgin college boys now? do they turn you on that much?" he chuckled wickedly, his eyes stared deeply into your own.
"We both know you're never capable of love princess, you like playing with feelings. Because in the end, I know you'll end up breaking this boy's poor heart because that's who you are..." his voice ends up becoming a whisper in the end, his lips inching closer to yours, and without knowing it he presses his lips against yours.
To your shock, you kiss him back for a few seconds but realize what you were doing. You pushed him away to slap him again, he holds your palm in his hand, he harshly holds your wrist against the door. You try to wriggle free from his grip but you stopped when you looked at his face. He had his forehead against yours, tears streaming down his cheeks, his eyes were closed but you could hear his sniffling as he tried to collect himself. It was now that you finally realize how much you had hurt him. You didn't know that he was this affected by your break up since he had easily agreed to it. You were also blinded by your selfishness, your anger towards the world that you didn't know you were already hurting someone so important to you.
So you soften up, remembering that this broken guy who stood before you was still your best friend. Your best friend who stayed with you when you were at your worse, your best friend who loved you unconditionally even if you drove everyone away.
"That's exactly who you are, you're a heartless monster." he cried, you silently agreed with him but you kept your mouth shut, willing to listen to him finally tell you his feelings. You have been an asshole for most of your life, and you knew it, so you thought this was the least you could do for him. You didn't think much of Donghyuck’s feelings in the past, so it was only hitting you now, he had truly loved you. Even if you were the most flawed person. Even if you were the sad little girl who was too scared of the world, the little girl who believed that everyone was out to get her. He had loved you fully, through and through, even if you had intentionally cheated on him.
"I'm sorry" you whisper, finally realizing how cruel you were these past years. You hated yourself, you truly did. You hate yourself for playing with his feelings, for leading him on when you didn't really have feelings for him back then. You used him for your enjoyment not thinking of his emotions, you used him as an escape from your reality, your troubled past. You truly were a monster and it was finally made clear to you.
"Then take me back," he whispered, he sounded so broken that it took a while for you to register what he said. You didn't reply and he looks up to meet your gaze and your heart breaks.
"After all this time, I'm still so into you, so please... just give me a chance to be yours again" he begged, you knew he was ready to beg on his knees if it weren't for your current position, you could feel the shiver run down your back because of guilt.
"Donghyuck." you sighed as you took his face into your palms, you look into his eyes and you could see the glimmer of hope behind them, hoping that  you were about to say yes to his offer, but to his disappointed you only caused more heartbreak.
"I really really like Mark... and you were probably right, I'm so fucked in the brain that I didn't even think of your feelings back then. Of how real your emotions were for me, I thought we were just casual, but it seems like you really..." you trail off thinking of the right words to say
"loved me. I'm so sorry for being a fucking asshole, I have no excuses. Being hurt by my parents gives me no reason to hurt you back, so you don't have to accept my apology, I don't deserve it... But I’m doing what I think is best for us right now, I'm kicking you out of the band"
Donghyuck's eyes widened at this, his hands desperately clasping onto yours as he tried to bring his lips back to yours. He didn't know why he was trying to kiss you, probably it was because of the alcohol in his system, or most likely desperation. But all he knew he wasn't ready to let go, to say goodbye to you just yet, so he tried grasping for any piece of you he could as you removed his desperate hands from your body, both of you crying as you tried to push him away for good.
"What do you mean? why do you keep pushing me away like this?" he cries out as he hugs you, you pat his back.
"Because this is wrong, and it's time for you to be happy." you freed yourself from his weak grip, he tried to fight back but you insisted, it finally hit him that this was inevitable, it was finally time for you to say goodbye.
"Thank you for everything" you whispered, and with a final slip of his grasp you were gone. You had opened the door and left him in the bathroom, broken and lost.
“Yeah, after all this time, I'm still into you.”

songs i imagined - this one & this one

transferring colleges had to have been your smartest decision to date. going from putting your strengths into a place that was not willing to acknowledge them to, now, receiving credit where credit was most deservingly due. your first choice for school had been some place close to home, you figured why not opt for the cheaper option to save yourself, and your parents, a little money. you spent a few months getting into the swing of things, heading to class each day with a fresh mind and hopeful thoughts. it wasn’t until six months in that you realized you deserved so much better, and at a better school.
it took time, figuring out your best bet and where to go and all the finances. you definitely grew impatient a year in, trying to stick it out at home to receive your credits. but once the moment arrived, you packed all your things and moved states away. you loved it; you loved the classes, you loved your friends, you loved your professors. you were completely happy with your choice to go. your parents might not have been, but the weekly calls home for your progress report were substitute enough.
wednesday, 5 p.m.
you scribbled a doodle you had been going over and over, darkening the lines so much you saw it behind your eyelids now. you snapped out of it and looked back at your textbook.
the library was so quiet, you heard pages being turned from every corner, the chewing of gum from a tense jaw, and the soft snores of someone passed out in one of the private cubicles across the way. none of those things distracted you really since you had come to the study session with a couple of your friends, all three of you making a pact to get shit done.
melly was able to listen to music while she studied and was more of a typer as her fingers moved fast along the keys of her laptop. she came dressed in her comfiest clothes, sporting a knit sweater and joggers. lina had snacks across the table to keep her sustained. she was a strong believer that she learned better while being fed. it made you laugh still. she was a writer like you, very organized in her notes with highlighters and different colored pens. she even drew headers for each page for the hell of it. you wondered where she got the drive. then there was you, black ink, the main topic underlined, things to remember written repeatedly. you learned better after writing things down, you couldn’t just read a book and have the information implanted in your brain. as much as you wished it were that easy.
you were studying for an upcoming psychology test, one that you were sure would be a piece of cake given how well you did in the class itself. it was one you didn’t plan on taking, but you needed another course to get enough credits for the year.
lina was munching on some almonds, turning a page in her notebook, and picking up a blue pen. you were in the middle of writing a definition down and filling up the last of the page, your hand starting to cramp with how much pressure you were using. you flexed it once you put your pen down and squeezed an imaginary ball.
both yours and lina’s eyes flicked up to melly across the table who let out a low moan. she was pulling her headphones off and looking in the completely opposite direction of her computer.
“why is he so fine?” she asked, low enough for the two of you to hear.
you looked over your shoulder at the same time lina did and searched in the general area melly was focused on. all you saw was a guy walking through the library, sporting a backpack and a lacrosse sweatshirt, the hood pulled over his head.
“he really knows what he’s doing, huh?” lina said dreamily.
you furrowed your eyebrows as you watched him turn into a row of books and you glanced at melly as you faced the other way, planning on getting back to your work. melly was dazed as she still looked in his direction.
“who is that?” you asked after a moment of both of them still ogling.
lina turned toward you as melly closed her laptop a little to lean over it. “what did you just say?”
you looked between the two identical shocked expressions and laughed helplessly. “who is that?”
“oh, i forgot. you’re still new.” melly nodded in semi-acceptance then became serious. “that’s rafe cameron. he’s on the lacrosse team and we’re kind of obsessed with him.”
“it’s alarming,” lina said. she gave a quick glance over her shoulder then looked back at her notebook. “i love making myself sad over him not noticing me, but it’s fine. what’s even more alarming is how he’s still single.”
“i cannot express to you, y/n, how good,” melly emphasized, squeezing her eyes shut, “he looks with a little sweat.”
“you guys sound like stalkers.” you pointed out, smiling a little at their explanations.
“i’m not denying it. i said it was alarming.” lina shrugged as she looked from her textbook to her writing. “we’ve talked to him a couple of times at some parties, he’s a super nice guy but we just find him attractive. i think if i were a freshman, i’d be pathetically pining after him.”
melly hummed in agreement, her chin now propped in her palm. she wore a doe-like look, gazing between yours and lina’s heads and into the bookshelves. “don’t they have a game tomorrow? we should go.”
“it’s away.” lina said, but you had already lost interest in the topic and started reading a new chapter. you picked your pen back up, the muscles in your hand now relaxed, and the boy in the bookshelves out of your mind.
monday, 9 a.m.
you were going to be late and you hated the thought. there was no way you could miss this test when you had done nothing but study every last page for it. you even lost track of how many pages of notes you wrote for the test alone. it would be such a waste to miss it and it wasn’t worth getting a negative grade.
being late was not at all your fault. you had set your alarm early, eaten breakfast and read a few more chapters to get ahead, and packed your bag up so you’d be ready after a quick shower. turned out that all the showers on your floor were broken, the yellow “do not cross” tape like a bad omen. you started muttering to yourself as you carried along your shower caddy, going down to the next floor and finding a line to wait in. you knew it was probably your best bet instead of racing to another floor to check if there were more lines, plus you didn’t know how much time you had. you probably annoyed some people with the fidgeting, but all you could think about was the test.
it was ridiculous how long the showers took and how you had to leave your hair damp as you ran back up physical stairs. you burst through your door, threw your bathroom things on your bed, grabbed your bag and the few books you couldn’t stuff in. while leaving, the door shutting behind you, you made do with damp hair, twisting it up and out of your face. as you checked the time, you figured out that you had eight minutes exactly to get across campus and in your seat with a writing utensil ready.
even though you were late, you still held doors open for people, and you dodged others walking the opposite direction instead of the other way around. you kept checking the time as if the minutes would stop moving.
just as you were looking into your bag, your legs moving fast and assuredly, you ran right into something hard. you dropped the textbooks that you had been clutching, even with a death grip on them, and your bag slipped from your shoulder. a notebook poked out along with a pen rolling away on the walkway.
“woah,” the hard surface said.
“i’m so sorry, i was not looking.” you said quickly and bent down to get your things. of course, this would happen while you were in a rush. you supposed you were lucky it didn’t involve cars. god, that would’ve been so much worse.
“nah, it’s alright.” they said easily and bent down beside you, retrieving your things.
you scrambled for everything and shoved the notebook back into your bag. you spotted your keychain near their foot, their fingers closing around it before you could reach for it. you finally looked up as they held the key out to you, the ring hanging from their finger.
rafe cameron.
he looked different now that you could see his face better. and also, because he was so close this time. it was odd to know now that he had blue eyes and a light ghosting of stubble along his jaw and cheeks. it felt too personal being this close to someone you only knew the name of.
you felt a little silly for bumping into him, but you didn’t let it show. “thank you,” you said as you took the key from him and stood quickly to walk away. lina and melly surely wouldn’t give this up when you told them.
rafe had watched after you for a moment before turning back to his friend topper, raising his eyebrows in reference to what happened, and continuing their conversation.
you made it to class about three minutes late and sat in your seat, finally taking a breath. you settled in, putting your things at your feet, and digging around for a pen. all thoughts of bumping into rafe cameron left your mind.
8 p.m.
“you what?” melly coughed violently as she composed herself. lina was clutching her stomach, nearly dying of hysterics when the drink came out of melly’s nose a second earlier.
you held your head in your hands and inwardly groaned at having to tell the story. you were out to dinner with the two girls, munching on french fries and milkshakes. it was typical for you three to hang out on mondays since melly usually had a bad case of them each week. you had innocently slipped in that you just so happened to run into rafe cameron this morning and well, you hadn’t expected that to be melly’s reaction.
“i ran into him. i was late this morning and i wasn’t looking.” you could feel the embarrassment settle in as you recounted the minor event, at least to you.
“did he say anything?” her eyes were blown wide as she leaned across the table.
“i didn’t try to have a conversation with him.” you shrugged and picked at the plate of fries at the center of the table. melly gave you a look of mild bewilderment, the shock of it wearing off.
“missed opportunity.” lina joked, taking a long sip of her shake. “i wouldn’t know what to say either if i ran into him.”
you felt your shoulders loosen as the topic was slowly changing. melly laughed at lina’s remark, teasing her that she would’ve frozen up from bumping into anybody. you smiled and were glad that both of them didn’t take the story too seriously.
minutes later you were laughing loudly, head thrown back as melly was telling a story about her family and a public mishap with a tire. it was interesting to you to hear about what it was like growing up in a completely different environment than the one you did. you supposed that’s something you loved about college; getting to meet people from so many other states and cities.
you were smiling to yourself as you dipped a fry into your shake. just as you put it into your mouth and looked across the table at melly, her composure changed.
“oh, fuck.” she whispered and noticeably tried to look away. “don’t look.”
both you and lina turned around to look toward the front door. a dense group of bodies was coming in through the door, the atmosphere’s volume increasing with their chatter. toward the back you recognized rafe cameron. you weren’t sure at all what it was that made your heart clench in your chest.
“i said don’t look!” melly whispered louder. “oh, god. okay. act normal.” melly straightened up, trying not to be obvious with looking in their direction. you laughed and sat back in the seat. lina practically sunk into hers.
you didn’t watch as they approached, but you did look up once rafe entered your peripheral vision. he was with the guy from this morning, even if you hadn’t noticed him before. you just remembered rafe crouched in front of you while someone just as tall stood behind him, waiting. both of them were sporting lacrosse sweatshirts, along with some others in the group.
“hey, rafe.” melly said easily like she hadn’t just been freaking out over him a second ago.
you watched rafe lift his chin, smiling genuinely at her. you didn’t think anything of it when he glanced at you, the recognition so obvious as his face changed. he continued to walk to his table though, eyes steady on you for what felt like too long.
melly turned around and sank over the table, her mouth open in shock. “oh my god,” she said above the surface.
“oh my god,” lina said, turning to you in bafflement. “i feel like i’m in an alternate universe. did that just happen?”
“he just recognized me.” you brushed it off.
“no, y/n, he knew you. that was longer than five seconds.”
“why are you guys so obsessed with him anyways?” you laughed, trying to take the attention off you.
lina shrugged, seeming taken aback with the question. “i don’t really know.”
“because he’s gorgeous, that’s why.” melly intervened, dipping a fry into her shake.
you looked over melly’s shoulder, wondering what it was exactly that was so intriguing about the lacrosse player. you had had your fair share of athletes and could agree on some being drop dead gorgeous. maybe rafe cameron was just a nice guy all around and melly and lina just had pleasant interactions with him. maybe he was the type of college boy that looked out for everyone’s wellbeing and that’s what made your friends obsess over him. it could be a number of things.
thursday, 8 p.m.
you rubbed your eyes, yawning in the middle of it, and lay back on your bed. you had just closed your computer after typing up a 10-page essay. it was nine when you started it this morning. you were just glad your one class of the day was canceled and that you had time to write the paper before next week. plus, there were no classes tomorrow, and you could have a whole day of doing nothing. you were stoked, to say the least.
feeling a vibration beside you, you reached for your phone and opened a text from lina. incoming in 5, it said, followed by a rattling of knocks on your door. you rolled off the bed and shuffled over, finding her and melly with wide smiles. it was infectious as you felt your own smile appearing on your face.
“what are you guys doing here?” you asked curiously, stepping aside to let them in. the door clicked softly shut as you followed melly to your bed where she went to sit. lina leaned against the wall across from you, careful of your roommate’s things.
“we were invited to a party and we were wondering if you wanted to come with.” lina said, sharing a quick look with melly.
you glanced between them, eyes narrowing. “what’s so special about this party?”
“god, how can you even tell that?” melly asked, slightly rolling her eyes.
“you guys have known each other longer than i've known either of you, but you’re easy to read.” you laughed.
“i don’t like that.” melly said quietly to herself.
you grinned at her, noting her curls springing around her face. melly usually had her hair pulled back out of the way and it was very rare to see her with a different hairstyle. there had been some days where she had braids and you enjoyed seeing the change of pace. lina on the other hand always let her hair down. tonight though, she had straightened it and thrown it into a high ponytail. you hadn’t really gone to a lot of parties with the girls, so seeing them all done-up was always fascinating.
“seriously, what’s the deal?” you asked again, looking to lina since she was the one who had proposed the idea.
she shared another look with melly again before finally coming out with it. “it’s at rafe cameron’s apartment.”
you felt that clenching again in your chest, in that same spot from last night. you swallowed, feeling how dry your mouth was in the span of three seconds.
“well, it’s his and topper’s apartment, so not technically just his.” lina said, waving her hand in enunciation. she crossed her arms. “i have this study group with topper and he invited me and mel and anyone else really.”
“come on, it’ll be fun.” melly said, nudging your arm.
you looked at the girl beside you, ready to say no mostly in panic of seeing rafe. you had nothing to worry about or freak out over, but it was a scary thought. so many things happened at parties. so many things could happen.
“okay,” you said easily.
the prior fears dissipated quickly as lina and melly gave a small cheer and encouraged you to get ready, and to take your time. you spent the next ten minutes asking them what you should wear, going through your side of the closet. all three of you agreed on a plaid skirt you had bought a few weeks before on a spontaneous shopping trip. you only wore it once since then and had been meaning to pull it out again. you paired it with a sweater, something easy to keep you warm through the night instead of bringing a jacket along. lina and melly agreed excitedly when you changed and raised your eyebrows, searching for approval.
9 p.m.
holding on tightly to lina’s hand, you laughed hysterically to the point of tears and a clear indicator in the nether region that you had to pee, badly. a connie bailey rae cover was playing from a speaker near you, your laughter probably not as loud as you thought it to be as you calmed down. melly stopped her ridiculous reenactment and pulled an exaggerated disgusted face as she dodged someone trying to dance with her. you shook with laughter and took a long sip of your drink, tilting your head back to finish it in one gulp.
the party had been way more fun than you thought it would be, especially when you walked the four blocks to get there. lucky for you, you had been smart and worn flat boots. the apartment was a good size for the event and had plenty of space to gather, enough left over for those that wanted a break from either dancing or just to relax. some people you didn’t recognize had the large tv on, a video game on the bright screen. there was plenty of shouting coming from their general direction, a wave of arms and pointing of rigid fingers.
you had seen rafe in passing, but never made the initial eye contact as if to let each other know that you were near. stepping into the apartment and being greeted with his friend topper, you felt like you were intruding or trespassing by being in rafe’s space. you didn’t know him, or topper for that matter, and it felt odd to you to be in their physical home.
“where’s the bathroom?” you asked lina as melly went to get more snacks.
lina stood up on her toes and pointed at a closed door. “i'm pretty positive it’s over there.”
you gave her a nod and walked in the direction she pointed you in, finding a couple people waiting against the wall. you took a place there and acted as a fly on the wall for a total of five minutes since the line went fast. once inside, you took a deep breath, feeling refreshed at the open window and the cool air coming in.
you dried your hands and placed the towel back where it was on the counter and opened the door. the next person waiting rushed in rather quickly, making you stumble against the doorway. you laughed to yourself and felt the rush of sudden wind as the door slammed.
excusing yourself past a small group, you headed toward the refreshments. you were already thirsty after having emptied your bladder seconds before, but you were aware it was just the addictive alcohol buzzing through your system. it was crowded closer to the drinks, rightfully so, and it only took one person to move for you to see rafe acting as a stand-in bartender.
part of you wanted to run right back out of the kitchen and find lina and melly, but the other part of you wanted to give a swift kick to your rear. you chose the latter and walked over to where he was at the counter. he was in the middle of pouring someone else’s drink and you stood on his other side, taking in his appearance while you still could. the blue hat on his head read “obx”, turned backwards. he wore an off-white t-shirt, the graphic design on the back drawing you in. you were too busy staring at his shoulders molded with the fabric to realize he had turned around and you were now staring at his chest. you blinked up at his face, smiling lightly.
“hi.” he said, a small lilt to his voice as he recognized you once again.
“hi.”
“can i get you something?” he asked, and you felt your shoulders falter a little, thinking that was all he was going to say to you. stick to his image of drink tender and have you go on your way. but his body told you differently as he turned fully to face you.
“um, i can get it.” you said, the instant flight taking effect at the very prospect of being shot down.
rafe nodded and stepped out of the way, moving further into the corner of the counter. you smiled at him and poured your own drink, mixing up your favorite. rafe still stood there and you could feel the strong vice his eyes had on you. it made you a little self-conscious, but you relaxed with a deep breath.
“i never got your name.” rafe said just as you took a sip and turned to leave the kitchen. “you know, from the other day.”
“that’s because i was too busy bumping into you.” you let out a small laugh and stepped closer to him, out of the way if someone wanted a drink. you turned your back to the fridge and tried to find a spot to lean on as rafe looked down at you, a smile playing at his lips. “i am sorry about that again. i was in a rush for a class.”
“it’s no problem. i’m just glad you’re okay, we hit pretty hard.”
“y/n.” you said and held out a hand respectfully.
“rafe,” he slipped his hand into yours, warm and strong, and smiled widely.
“i think i’ve heard your name only a million times in the past week.” you admitted, knowing that lina and melly would kill for brownie points. “my friends are a bit obsessed with you and fully willing to educate the newbie.”
“obsessed, huh? lina and mel, right?”
you nodded and took another sip. rafe reached on the counter and grabbed a handful of pretzels. he held some out to you. “they’re nice girls,” rafe said easily. “i’ve hung out with them a couple times, but i didn’t know they were obsessed.” he laughed to himself.
you munched on a pretzel and froze at an idea. “you’re not going to tell them i told you, are you?”
“not unless you want me to.”
you stared at him for a bit longer than you planned, then let out a breath and took another pretzel from his hand. it was odd to be sharing food with him when just the other day you felt like your heart was tearing in your chest. at the moment, you could only feel a dull ache.
“so, how do you like it?” rafe asked.
“like what?”
“campus, the college.”
you nodded and swallowed some of your drink to wash the pretzels down. “things have been really great. i enjoy it here. it’s an immense difference than my first college back home, so i’m happy.”
rafe smiled. “and the party?”
you followed his nod to the people around you, glancing to your original spot where you left lina. you didn’t see her anywhere until some people moved and you found her and melly sat on the couch. they were playing the video game with a whole mess of guys. you grinned.
“the party is great.” you commended, looking back at him. he had finished the rest of the pretzels in his hand.
“good.” he nodded. “i always get nervous when top and i invite people over. we’ve done it a bunch of times, but there’s always the possibility of something going wrong.”
“well, you’re doing great. both of you. hopefully, nothing horrible happens.”
11 p.m.
you would be lying if you said that your conversation with rafe from hours ago wasn’t still running through your head. it was difficult not to think about it when you kept seeing him more often throughout the party. most of the time you’d catch his eye, or vice versa, and instantly smile. you’d then recall the sound of his laugh and would even hear it from feet away. the clenching in your chest was now accompanied by a swirling in your stomach.
you were pacing yourself with your drinks, but by now you were on your fifth of the night. you were completely aware of everything around you and you were enjoying the ongoing buzz. lina and melly were a bit more inebriated than you were, which only added to the fun.
the two girls in front of you were swaying to a song together, not even close to being slow tempo. it was very upbeat, the bass pumping through the walls. the front door to the apartment was now open since it had begun to get warmer with the more and more people that were joining. a few windows were thrown open as well.
“you remember how in freshman year you fell down that flight of stairs and twisted your ankle and practically bashed your head in and then your mom yelled at you and then your sister called to tell you she was pregnant and then your dad! oh my god, and then your dad was like ‘hey i’m thinking of leaving your mom so uh, yeah’ and then your mom was so pissed but then she was fine because she found a total hunk of a man to replace your dad like that,” melly snapped her fingers as your body started to shake with laughter. lina was laughing too, not at all bothered with a quick recap of her, very shitty, first year.
“yes, thank you for reminding me mel. i love when we have tantalizing conversation like this.” lina leaned her head against the others’.
mel giggled, a few hiccups escaping. “i think i need to pee.”
“god, you’re like a peeing machine.” lina sighed and tightened her arm around melly.
“that’s what drinking will do to you.”
lina rolled her eyes and looked at you as she brought melly to the bathroom. you asked quickly if she needed help, but she shook her head and promised they’d be back soon. you watched them go then turned back to the party, turning too fast and not feeling the presence behind you in the moment. a cool liquid pooled over and down your chest, soaking the fabric of your sweater. you gasped at the contact, your mouth dropping open and looking down at the dark stain.
“i— “ you looked up to tell the person it was fine before an apology came out, finding that off-white t-shirt on a very familiar blue-eyed person. “we have to stop meeting like this.”
rafe looked horrified at having spilled his drink all over your sweater, his eyes wide as they stared at your chest.
“that’s the most cliché thing to say.” you said, laughing lightly to ease the tension so obvious in his features.
he let out a laugh too. “you can borrow something of mine. come on,” he held out his hand and you took it willingly, realizing some people were staring at the accident way too curiously. you let rafe lead you up the stairs, the complete darkness on the landing causing you to focus solely on his hand in yours.
rafe opened a door and flipped a light on, your eyes adjusting to the brightness. he led you further in and closed the door behind you before rushing to his dresser, a whole display of cologne bottles on top. as he rummaged through the drawers, you stood just in front of the door, a little timid to step further in. you were holding your sweater away from your chest, already feeling the stickiness of liquid on your skin.
“how’s this one?” he asked, holding out a simple white one.
“you don’t have to give me a shirt.”
“it’s the least i can do. the bathroom is right there.” he handed the shirt to you and nodded just behind your shoulder. you thanked him and went in, closing the door with a click. you pulled the sweater off and dampened a washcloth, wiping the dried drink from your skin. pulling the shirt on, you relished in how soft it was and styled the piece of fabric so it looked better with your skirt.
rafe was sitting on a couch next to his bed, more like a futon, his hands in his pockets and hat off his head. he looked up as you came out, straightening his posture and looking you up and down.
“i’m sorry.” he smiled guiltily.
you smiled and walked over, moving around the small circular coffee table and sitting next to him. “guess it was payback for the other day,” you teased as you folded your sweater and set it next to you.
rafe rolled his eyes with a knowing smile. you glanced at him as you leaned back, feeling the softness and rigidness of the futon. “you look good in my shirt.”
“i feel better in a less damp one.” you said, easing the fluttering in your stomach. your chest clenched again as you crossed your legs.
glancing around rafe’s room, you admired the movie posters on the walls and the multiple lacrosse paraphernalia. one of his jerseys lay crumpled at the end of his bed, the comforter pulled over the pillows to look made. it was better than you did with your bed, you were pretty sure yours was unmade and messy.
it was a decent sized room, plus the bathroom was nice to have. you’d kill for your own bathroom again. it would be nice not to wait in a line. you told yourself that you just had to figure out an earlier schedule so you could beat the crowd.
after a once-over of rafe’s room, you looked over at him to find him already looking at you. he was fully analyzing your face, you could see his eyes flickering to different parts.
you swallowed and licked your lips. “what?”
“nothing.” he said quickly and sighed, laying his head back on the couch.
you squinted at him, now tracing over his features. he looked nervous from what you could tell, his hands moving in his pockets. you stared at his chest moving up and down slowly, the intake of breath coming as it grew bigger. his adam’s apple protruded, bobbing slightly as he swallowed. your chest clenched once again as you looked at his face, watching him look up at the ceiling. he really was handsome. you shifted in your seat, switching your leg over the other.
“that look wasn’t nothing.” you commented, breathing in.
“what look?” he turned his head toward you, eyebrows slightly pushing together. you watched every change in his face, from his eyebrows to his eyes blinking then to his tongue peeking out to lick his lips.
“the look of ‘i want to eat you up’.”
he laughed, the couch shaking with him. “what does that entail?”
“major gazing and bedroom eyes.”
“bedroom eyes, huh?” he hummed and lifted his head. his lips tugged at a smirk.
“am i imagining things?” you asked seriously, slightly doubting if you made the right call. maybe he wasn’t thinking what you thought he had been. maybe you were imagining things.
rafe didn’t answer, instead looking down at the floor. the smirk alone told you that you had been right. his hands flexed in his pockets, hard for you to miss. a few silent minutes passed, the both of you listening to the party still going on downstairs.
“if you want to kiss me, all you have to do is ask.” you said quietly. after a moment you figured he hadn’t heard you, that he had lost himself in staring at the carpet.
“can i?”
“yes,” you nodded.
rafe sat up and met your eyes, moving closer until his thigh was touching yours. you shifted your upper half closer to him, feeling a wave of shivers run through you the second his hand touched your cheek. you instinctively pressed your legs tighter together as your heartbeat picked up and rafe lowered over you, licking his lips once more. they were soft and firm, just as they needed to be. he tilted your chin up, his thumb brushing just beside your mouth as you kissed.
seconds later, you brought your own hands to his face. you were eager to touch him, to feel the solidness of him against you. it was mostly a reassurance that this was in fact happening and that you weren’t dreaming. you pushed a hand into his hair just behind his ear and mirrored the last few pecks he was leaving you before he fully pulled away. you felt a pinch of disappointment, the small taste for him now growing bigger. you had to stop your hands from pulling him back.
he pulled away only a little and you opened your eyes to see him still so close and looking over your face. your breaths mingled together.
“what?” you huffed, letting your head fall back for a second in slight irritation. you just wanted to kiss him again. you let your hand slide down from his hair, resting near his shoulder. you wanted to squeeze the muscle under your hand.
“nothing.” he said again, eyes flickering down to your lips once more. he smiled, holding himself up on the back of the couch. his thumb brushed the same spot on your cheek. “don’t tell anyone, but i’ve been imagining this since you showed up tonight.”
you returned your hand to his hair, slightly scratching with a smile. “i knew you spilled your drink on purpose.”
rafe grinned widely and moved back into you. this kiss was deeper, your lips opening for him when you felt his tongue. his hand left your cheek and appeared on your hip, ever so slightly pushing your shirt up so he could touch your skin at your waist. you smiled against him as you felt his hand slowly creep up the shirt. you were reminded again that it was his and you pulled him closer by the back of the neck, hearing a soft moan leave his lips. your thighs squeezed, your excitement starting to rise.
“you just gave it to me and now you want to take it off?” you teased as rafe’s hand covered one of your breasts, the cool air of the room reaching your skin. rafe smiled and kissed you again.
his hand disappeared, apparently changing his mind, and reappeared on your thigh. you breathed in sharply at the warmth coming from his palm, resting just above your knee. your brain started to spaz for a moment and you imagined a bunch of smaller yous, running in circles like their heads were cut off.
rafe’s hand stayed steady as you uncrossed your legs, a silent invitation. he moved to kiss the corner of your mouth. “is this okay?”
the fact that he was pulling away multiple times to check in on you had to be evidence enough of why lina and melly liked him so much. you hadn’t met many guys that were so in tune with consent or caring about what you wanted. it turned you on seeing it coming from him.
“yes.” you nodded as you touched his forearm, not wanting to seem too eager.
you anticipated his hand moving and when it did, you held back the moan. you were much too eager for teasing and he was showing no signs of not giving you want you wanted. as he got closer to you, you placed your hand over his. he pulled you back for a kiss and you decided to focus on that for a moment to lessen your nerves.
his touch was soft once he met your underwear. his fingers pressed over you and you shivered from how wet you had become because of him. he hummed into your mouth, only adding to the pooling between your legs. his hand reached back and pushed your skirt further up so he could get to you more easily.
you let out a satisfied sigh against his lips as he ran a finger through your folds, collecting your wetness. your underwear had been pushed to the side, out of the way, finally feeling his touch.
“are you this wet for me?” he asked. you nodded against his forehead and pulled him back, letting out a moan as he brushed over your clit. it was only for a second, but you were about ready to burst.
you opened your legs wider for rafe, his fingers moving over you and exploring the new area. you gripped his hand to silently ask him for more along with an impatient moan. you wanted his fingers so badly in places you weren’t ready to admit yet. he wanted the opposite.
“talk to me.” he said, nudging the side of your face with his nose, planting a kiss to your jaw. you opened your eyes that had fallen shut, your breath getting heavier. your chest felt like it was going to cave in.
“please,” you said, adjusting your hips. “please, touch me.”
“i am.” he pulled away, a menacing smirk on his face just to gauge your reaction.
you huffed out and pulled his hand closer. “you know what i mean, rafe.”
“i like when you say my name.” he pressed a kiss to your lips sweetly.
“i might like when you touch me, so get on with it already.”
rafe laughed huskily, his breath blowing over your face. “you want my fingers?”
you wanted to roll your eyes at how badly he wanted you to beg, but you wanted his fingers more. “yes, please. i want your fingers. give me something.”
you let go of his hand as he finally pushed a finger into you. you adjusted around him for a moment and felt the need to close your legs to keep him there. he pulled your lips back to his, his tongue quick to lick into you. you held his face again as his finger started to move inside of you.
“you want another, pretty girl?” he asked after a few moments passed. you nodded again, breathing hoarsely, too intoxicated in him to speak. a second finger pushed into you then, stretching you ever so slightly. you sighed, letting your head fall back to the couch.
“you’re so wet.” he said as he moved his fingers, delighting in the sounds he was making with you in the palm of his hand. “you’re taking my fingers so well, y/n. do they feel good?”
you moaned as he said your name for the first time. it was something you didn’t think you’d like so much, but with the current situation, it was wonderful.
rafe’s lips appeared on your neck. you held the back of his head as he pressed a few kisses then closed his lips over a spot closer to your collarbone. if your breath had been short then, it was even shorter now as he worked to leave a mark on you. with all the attention you were getting, it only brought you closer to your release, and you started to move your hips. he freed your skin, startled at your movements, then amazed as he watched you chase his fingers. the spot he left throbbed now, all your blood rushing to two places at once.
“are you going to come?” he asked as you heard the start of song you had been replaying for the past few weeks. it was muffled and you could barely hear the words, but you knew it by heart.
“yes, fuck.” you looked up at him, taking in the sight. he was breathing over you, his eyes never straying too far from yours as your mouth opened in pleasure. “rafe, make me come.”
you squeezed your eyes shut as he kissed you hard, breathing deeply into your mouth. he reached his thumb to your clit and began to draw circles at a normal pace with his fingers. your stomach started to twist, the familiar feeling forming fast as he picked up the pace. he could tell you were close by the sheer dig of your fingertips on the back of his neck. it only edged him on more to bring you to your climax.
“come on my fingers.” he said, eyes half closed as he looked at you, lips brushing over yours as he spoke. you whimpered and felt your hips twitch before stilling completely, trapping rafe’s hand between your legs, as you came undone. his thumb continued to move to help you through it. your jaw went slack, eyes rolling under your eyelids, as you moaned loudly. you felt an overwhelming sense of content, the adrenaline rush coming and going quickly.
your blood pumped in your ears and it took you a few moments to register rafe giving you subtle kisses all over the underside of your jaw. you breathed in shakily and let your head fall back on the couch, your knees separating. rafe took his hand away and you winced as he did. you already missed the contact.
the moment was completely ruined as his name was called up the stairs. rafe’s lips disappeared from you as he looked toward the door. you didn’t know what came over you as you pulled your skirt down over your thighs, the footsteps heavy outside his door before a couple of his friends burst in.
“guys, come on. get the fuck out!” he shouted in annoyance, sitting up completely, his leg still touching yours.
“woah, sorry.” they said as they took in your presence. you shifted and knew that they could probably tell what you and rafe had been doing. they evidently didn’t care as they went into a whole spiel of something that had taken place downstairs. rafe tried to stop them and their alcohol-induced exuberance.
he looked at you over his shoulder, touching you lightly on the knee. “i'm sorry.” he said, his friends not hearing as they talked to one another. “i'll see you downstairs?”
part of you felt completely stupid when he said it, like everything that had happened moments ago was just an imagination. you felt your shoulders slump, but you nodded and got up anyways. the door was quick to close behind you and you were left in the dark landing, leaning against the wall to catch your breath. you smoothed your hair, took a deep breath, and fixed your underwear and skirt again.
your eyes adjusted gradually as you went down the stairs back into the swing of things. you swallowed, your mouth still dry post-climax. you went into the kitchen and filled up a cup with water, downing it slowly and stepping out of the way of some people. you couldn’t help but feel drained as you watched the people around you, laughing, dancing, and drinking. you had just spent the last 30 minutes in rafe cameron’s room and now you didn’t know what to do with yourself.
“y/n!” you looked up at melly coming toward you, her makeup slightly smudged, but that didn’t change how great she looked. “there you are!”
you gave her an assured smile and finished the water in your cup. “hey.” you tried not to let anything show.
“lina and i are ready to go if you want to come with. i think we’re going to get some food somewhere in town. i was thinking curly fries or a veggie burger. lina is dying for— wait, where did you go? we looked everywhere.” her expression suddenly changed to one of concern as she stepped closer to you.
“i— uh, well clearly not everywhere.” you said shamelessly, feeling your neck grow warm.
melly opened her mouth to say something then stopped. “oh my god, why are you so flushed? what happened to your sweater?” she looked at the shirt, her eyes catching on something near your collarbone. her eyes went wide as you tried to hide the mark. “oh my god!”
monday, 4 p.m.
“i was thinking that it could go more like this,” your friend said as she pressed a few buttons on her laptop. a new beat started from the computer, the screen following along with the track. you bobbed your head along with the beat.
the campus coffeeshop was somewhere you liked to go, mostly to meet your friends, but you also enjoyed the coffee. sometimes before class you’d make it just in time to get an extra scone before they were all gone. it was a cozy place too, filled with older antiques and an endless display of guitars on every wall. sometimes they’d have an open mic for students, letting anyone with any sort of musical or comical talent perform. most of the acts were later in the week though so no one had to worry about coursework.
after your classes today, you had met up with a friend you hadn’t seen in a while. she was eager to show you what she had been working on for her musical composition classes and you had expressed that you were willing to listen.
the past weekend had been spent mulling over a certain party and a certain someone you couldn’t seem to forget. not that you tried to, to be fair. you’d hadn’t seen him since, which was nothing new given the amount of times you had encountered the boy since that day on campus or seen him for the first time in the library. you didn’t find things weird, but things were left upspoken and it had been bothering you. you knew that melly or lina could’ve easily gotten his number for you, had you asked, but you couldn’t bring yourself to, nor did you know what you would say. all you could do was hope that he was doing well and maybe, perhaps, thinking of you too.
it was inevitable to escape having to talk about what happened in rafe’s room with melly and lina. you weren’t willing to share all of the details right down to what he smelled like, but you didn’t deny that nothing occurred. they seemed satisfied when you recounted having to change your sweater and rafe being kind enough to offer you one of his shirts.
speaking of the shirt, you had gone to your dorm that night and taken it off, seeing that “cameron” was written on the back, along with a large number. no doubt it was for lacrosse. the prospect of it made you shiver before folding it up to leave on your desk. you hadn’t touched it since.
“christ, i've got a meeting with my advisor soon.” your friend said, quickly exiting the program on her screen and closing her computer. “thank you again so much for listening. i can’t express how relieving it is to have someone do this.”
you waved her off with a sweet smile and packed up your own things. “i'm always around if you need a first-time listener.”
both of you stood and pushed the metal chairs in. you followed her to the exit, listening to her as she explained the reasoning for her upcoming meeting. both doors opened, the one from her pushing and the other from rafe coming in. you looked up as he met your eyes, and you couldn’t deny how good it was to see him.
“hey,” he smiled at you as all three of you paused.
before you could say anything, the words sticking to your tongue, you looked back to your friend. she was looking between the both of you, unsure of what was going on. you swallowed and acknowledged her. “i’ll see you later?”
a small smile came onto her face as she looked at rafe then back to you and nodded. the door closed softly behind her. you looked back at rafe as you felt his hand ghosting over your forearm.
“hi,” you said finally.
“it’s good to see you. come up with me?” he gestured to the register and you nodded, letting him take your hand. you didn’t think too much of it as you stood alongside him as he ordered. when the cashier asked if there would be anything else, rafe looked at you expectantly. you blanked for a second, remembering that you didn’t get a drink earlier when you first arrived. you had immediately gone for a sandwich, satisfied that that would be your dinner.
rafe pulled out his wallet and paid for the two drinks. he then led you toward the pick-up counter and faced you with a soft smile. “how have you been?”
“okay,” you breathed in deeply. you weren’t exactly sure how to answer. were you supposed to tell him how freaked out you had been? no, you decided, best not to. “the weekend was busy.”
“mine too. i've got practice tonight so i thought i’d stop by for some energy. i’m glad i ran into you.”
you refrained from asking him if he was serious. you could see on his face that he was with the way he looked at you. “rafe—”
before you could say much of anything else, rafe’s hands appeared on your cheeks and his lips pressed to yours. you kissed him back just as gently even though you wanted to do more now that you felt him again. he pulled away as his order was called, turning to thank the barista as he took the two cups.
“come to my place to study? after practice, i mean.” he said as he held your cup out to you. you looked at it then back up at his questioning eyes, a sliver of hope in them. you pushed down the question at the tip of your tongue and accepted the coffee.
“we’re just studying?”
rafe beamed and nodded. “i have a huge test tomorrow that i can’t fail, so yes.”
7 p.m.
before parting ways with rafe earlier he had finally taken your phone and put his number in it, but not before taking an odd photo of himself. it made you laugh watching it happen though. he promised that he would be done with practice around now and you left your dorm a little earlier than you planned to. it was out of pure thrill really.
knocking on the front door, you waited patiently for it to be answered. you shifted the books in your arms as you heard soft footsteps behind the door. rafe opened it, standing in loose-fitting clothes with damp hair. he smiled instantly and welcomed you in.
it was a drastic difference compared to the party. the house was eerily quiet, so quiet you could hear a pin drop. rafe turned to you from the door.
“how many books did you bring?” he asked seriously, glancing at them against your chest.
“just two,” you said defensively only until you saw the grin. you rolled your eyes and turned away from him to kick your shoes off.
he was chuckling to himself as he went into the kitchen and pulled out snacks to have. “do you want anything to drink?”
“water would be great.”
“smart choice. less sticky.” he said, his back to you, but you could hear the satisfied tone of his voice at his remark.
once he gathered drinks and a plate of snacks, he led you upstairs. it was brighter this time with his door already open and lights already on. you glanced at the other closed one down the short hall, finding the sliver underneath completely dark. maybe topper wasn’t home.
“how was practice?” you asked, setting your things down. he placed the plate on the coffee table and took a seat on the floor. you brushed your hair away from your face and sat down beside him.
“good. just ran some drills, normal practice stuff.” he shrugged, munching on a chip.
“is topper not home?” you set your books on the table and opened them up to where you had marked. rafe moved to grab his things from his bag sitting on the couch. he copied your actions and pulled out a pencil and a notebook.
“no, he went out with some of the guys for food.” he said easily, opening to a blank page. you watched curiously as he wrote down the topic he was studying for.
both of you fell into a silence as you started to read from your books. you were worried about it being a strange silence, knowing what happened the last time you were in this room. it was fairly difficult to push it out of your mind and to focus when rafe was right next to you, so close, along with the thoughts and memory of his touch. you pushed everything out of your head and concentrated back on the page you were reading from.
it wasn’t long when rafe’s hand appeared on your bent leg. they were crossed under you and he had placed his hand like it belonged over the side of your knee. you looked at him in your peripheral but didn’t see him look up once to acknowledge that he had in fact done that. instead you let it happen, ignoring the way it warmed up your skin. you swallowed in anticipation of him interrupting your studying session to turn it into a quick make out session, but the longer the minutes passed the longer his hand stayed where it was. after a while, you forgot about it.
if you had taken one look at rafe, with no prior knowledge of him or of the way his hands felt on you, you would have never guessed that he becomes so engrossed in studying. for the whole two hours that you both spent together with your noses in textbooks, he hadn’t once started a conversation. he kept at reading and writing, jotting things down in his notebook, while you held your head above your own book and soaked up every last word. it was comforting knowing that. the plate had even emptied, mostly due to rafe’s insatiable appetite after practice. you weren’t that hungry from your sandwich earlier.
“okay, that’s it.” rafe said abruptly, causing you to look up as his hand left your knee. “my eyes are going to bleed if i read anymore.”
you laughed lightly and looked back at your book. “are you sure you studied enough?”
“i wrote a whole ten pages worth of notes.” he flipped through them, the pages brushing together.
you hummed, still engrossed in your text. rafe shuffled next to you, dropping his notebook over the open pages along with his pencil. he let out a long sigh which turned into a yawn.
“are you done?” he asked innocently, his head appearing on your shoulder.
you glanced at him and shrugged him off with a smile. “maybe.”
“come on,” he groaned and reached for your textbook. you automatically smacked his hand away. he laughed and quickly flipped it closed and took ahold of your chin to face him.
“that was a dick move.” you said, punching him softly on the arm.
“pay attention to me.” he whined, letting go of your chin only to touch your cheek.
you eyed him as he came closer, finally kissing you when you didn’t punch him again or push him away. you kissed him back as best you could with the speculation seeping into your brain then. rafe seemed to be able to tell.
“what is it?” he asked when he pulled away, running his thumb lightly along your cheekbone. it was reassuring almost.
you looked at him, trying to think of the best way to phrase it. you also thought about how badly it could go given the answer you were dreading. “i'm just— it’s nothing.” you shook your head quickly and leaned in to distract him with another kiss.
he reciprocated for only a moment. “what is it? you can tell me.”
“i guess i'm just wondering what we’re doing.” you rolled your shoulder as if you had a knot, pulling away from rafe in case he didn’t want to touch you. his hand fell from your face and he leaned his side against the couch.
“what do you want to do?”
you gave him a serious glare. “don’t make this a game, rafe. i'm just…wondering what your intentions are.”
rafe adjusted his posture and sat up straighter, all his attention on you. his eyebrows creased and you bit the inside of your lip self-consciously, knowing this wasn’t going to go how you wanted it.
“well, i'm enjoying spending time with you.”
“studying?” you asked with a monotone.
rafe glanced away from you as if he were wondering if he said the wrong thing. “yeah. is that so hard to believe?”
you wanted to huff again, but you held the breath in. your shoulders started to tense as you became frustrated. not because of him, mostly because of yourself for not being able to communicate. you felt stupid for asking it, but you did. “do you like kissing me?”
“of course i do.”
“is that all you want to do?” you finally asked, quickly looking away from him. you reached toward your textbook, fiddling with the pages.
“no,” rafe said. “i want to get to know you.”
it was hard for you not to roll your eyes. rafe noticed and a second later his hand touched your shoulder, gently shaking it.
“i'm serious. hey, look at me.” he pleaded, and you did. “i want to get to know you, but only if you’ll let me. i know the other night was weird and i don’t know— spontaneous, but i enjoyed it and i enjoy being around you. you’re not the only one who’s been thinking about it.”
“i’ve probably been thinking about it more than you.” you chided in a quiet voice, trying to tease him. you were pleased by the answer he gave you and you felt a little silly for being so stubborn at first.
rafe smiled slightly, eyes soft. “let’s just keep doing what we’re doing and see where it goes, okay?”
you took a deep breath in, pushing your book away and nodding. “okay.”
rafe’s hand rubbed your shoulder comfortingly before he pulled you in for an awkwardly placed hug. the side of your body fell into his chest, but he hugged you, nonetheless, pressing a quick kiss to the crown of your head. you turned into him and smiled widely, your cheeks strained to hold it, and hugged him around the shoulders.
all the time spent worrying about whether he reciprocated your feelings or thoughts were so obviously wasted as you spent the rest of the night together. you took it slow, never straying from innocent kisses as you curled up together to watch a movie. you couldn’t help grinning multiple times throughout the night, knowing that things wouldn’t be difficult like you thought. it was easy when you expressed yourself and talked things over, even mentioning small things made a difference. maybe this would turn out to be another smart decision. you had a feeling there were plenty of possibilities with rafe cameron, but only time would tell.

Draco x Reader - Perfection
Omg I just had this cute idea, could you write a young Draco x reader, in which he doesn't bully/make fun of her and really respects her, and he doesn't know why, but then kinda realises he likes her? I think a fluff n cute ending would be nice😍😍
A/N: I am slowly trying to get back to posting! I still need more time but I am so overjoyed with all the love and support I’ve received. Thank you all. xoxo
There was nothing about you Draco didn’t like. He watched as you took a seat at your house table, back straight and eyes lit up with a smile. You radiated a warmth and positive energy that he might have found annoying if it wasn’t perfectly you.
“What’s so interesting about Y/L/N that you have to stare at her all meal long?” Pansy whined as Draco rolled his eyes.
“Leave him be Parkinson, he has a crush,” Blaise prodded fun at him and Draco stuck his elbow into his friend’s side.
“I don’t, she’s just nice is all,” Draco argued.
“Since when has that mattered? She’s just some nobody,” Draco was tuning Pansy out before she continued and made him angry for the rest of the day.
Once Draco was stuck in transfiguration, he made sure to steal the seat right behind you. He could smell your perfume, something light and floral that was quickly becoming his favorite. You were taking notes when Draco reached forward, tapping you on the shoulder.
You turned and he tossed a note onto your desk with a smile that you returned. Your smile had always been so pretty, maybe Blaise was right. But so what if he had a crush on you? Draco was positive half the school would be in love with you if they weren’t blind.
Draco and you had been friends for a while, passing notes in transfiguration just to pass the time because you knew if you talked out of line McGonagall would scold you openly in front of the class. It was always simple conversation yet it made your heart race.
How are you today? Draco’s simple handwriting asked, beside a silly doodle of an owl that flapped it’s wings at you in a hello.
You always loved his doodles.
Draco wasn’t the kindest of boys, he had a reputation and you knew it was very possible one day he would decide to be not so kind to you. You didn’t tolerate bullies but Draco always had wide, honest doe eyes for you. It drew you in and you were powerless against how he made you feel. To you, he was the most perfect boy in the world.
Good, besides dreading Potions. Help me study later? You asked back, waiting for your professor to turn around so you could turn and place the note on Draco’s desk, you winked at him as you spun back around, missing the blush that burned it’s way across his cheeks and to the tips of his ears.
Draco had a snarky, playful comment in the back of his head but he worried you might not take it as that so he withheld. He didn’t want to mess up when it came to you, being the only person who could ever make him think before he spoke. He agreed to help you in potions and the rest of the class flew by with stories of how you had accidentally sent your homework to your family instead of the letter you had prepared for them and how he had accidentally walked into the girl’s bathroom the other day.
It was nice to share the silly things about your day, it kept humor between you two and something to talk about later when you were together. It was always good for the both of you and so when you came to the library after dinner with tears in your eyes, he was at a loss for what to do.
You rubbed at your eyes and sniffled, trying to pull yourself together. “Sorry, I was g-going to clean up but I didn’t want you thinking I was late,” You mumbled as fresh tears started to well up. Draco didn’t understand what he was doing until he was wrapping his arms around you and squeezing you comfortingly.
“What happened? Who do I have to kill?” He tried playing it off as a joke but seeing you in such a state boiled his blood and made his heart ache for you.
You let out a watery chuckle. “It’s nothing, Draco.” You reassured but he wasn’t convinced. He pulled away just enough to tilt your chin up at him as he narrowed his eyes, searching yours for the truth. You seemed ashamed almost.
“It’s something if it made you cry,” He said softly, wiping your tears away and continuing to stroke the soft skin of your cheek in a soothing rhythm.
“Just some silly girl was rude, I just need a thicker skin,”
“What girl?” Draco asked and you avoided his gaze.
“No one you know,” You failed to meet his eye, your foot scraping against the floor beneath you as your nervous energy showed itself.
“Liar,” He said gently. “Y/N, I won’t kill anyone, just let me know what happened. I want to help...”
“But you don’t need to help,” You softly argued back. “I can take care of myself-”
“What if I want to take care of you?” He interrupted.
You smiled at that, finally making the eye contact he had been looking for. “And why would Draco Malfoy want to take care of little ol’ me?” You teased as Draco blushed, rolling his eyes so hard they might pop out of his head if he wasn’t careful.
“Don’t pretend you don’t know how amazing you are,” He scoffed.
It was your turn to let out a hoot of laughter. “You are a terrible flirt, do you know that?”
Draco pulled away from you, embarrassed. “I am not! I was honest, you are, in the best words I can put it in, perfect.”
You watched Draco in a curious way but let your smile grow wider as you reached for his hand. “Is that why Pansy was giving me hell? Because you like me?”
Draco frowned. “Pansy was bothering you?”
“Answer the question,” You prodded.
“You first,”
“Draco,” You begged.
“I do like you,” He admitted, tugging on your hand so he could settle his hands on your hips. “What are you going to do about it?”
You giggled, lacing your fingers together behind his neck. Standing on your toes you pressed a kiss to his nose. “Nothing yet,” You teased. “We have potions to do,”
Draco groaned, hands squeezing your hips as he found the way you fit against him was the most blissful thing he’d ever experienced. Merlin, how was he to survive you?
“I like you too, you know,” You declared as you settled at the table, pulling out your scrolls and books as Draco snapped himself out of his reverie.
Draco was grinning as he sat beside you, hand grasping yours as you went over your homework. The small action had you smiling in a way he had never seen before and it was so different from the tears you arrived with that he couldn’t help but feel some pride. He had made you happy.
Draco very possibly hex Pansy but for now he was content to sit beside you and practice what ingredients did and didn’t belong in a wideye potion.
“Why are you looking at me like that?” You asked with laughter in your voice as you realized he hadn’t answered your question yet.
This time Draco wasn’t worried about his answer.  “Because you’re perfect,”
You blushed, and laughed off the intensity of his voice. Merlin, how were you supposed to survive him?

Intrusion
Tumblr media

a/n: i just copy pasted from ao3 so all italic and bold texts are most likely gone, sorry
The impromptu concert and the walk you had afterwards do not conclude your interaction with Iwaizumi, much to your dismay. You were hoping the next day  the lot of you would go back to your respective old routines of not knowing each other but alas, it seems he wasn’t just being polite when he said he wanted to be friends.
Here starts a brand new day: You enter the classroom and walk straight to your desk, not sparing anyone a look. Taking out whatever you need from your bag and placing them on your desk in your preferred order, you're startled by a harsh “good morning” you were never greeted with. Hell, have I ever been greeted by any of the classmates upon arrival like that? Already knowing the answer to that, you don’t bother turning towards the source of the voice to confirm it's him. Letting out a faint breath, you place your needed notebooks at last, make a move to the door, say a couple of greetings to few fellow classmates as you leave and seek out your friends for your morning routine.
By the time you come back, barely a minute before your teacher arrives, you take your seat, pleased to see he doesn’t attempt to start another one-sided conversation.
But it seems universe wants to prove you wrong, because every following morning he’s there before you arrive, sparing a good morning to your direction or asking how you are. You try to turn a blind eye, act sleepless or ignore him at first. Because, really, when did you ask for new friends, since when did you ask him for his friendship. As rude and stupid as this sounds, you're stubborn when pushed. Yet nothing lasts forever and you slowly fall into a rhythm before you can even notice.
On the rare occasion, you nod to show him you’ve heard him, baby steps. Day by day, this turns into a "Morning." back from you. Some days, you see his lips curl to your reply, giving your face a faint smile as well.
Yet you can’t shake the feeling of being watched during class. He examines you, you can tell that much. Perks of sitting one row behind yours, you suppose. You're not even bothered by this, you'd do the same if given the chance.
There’s one seat between you and the window and that happens to be the one he sits behind, has a nice view of the classroom and the outside. You find the seats by the window distracting as you find him.
Every morning goes the same, you drop your bag and take out your school materials, leave the class to meet with your friends, always making sure the morning gathering does not take place at your classroom, hurry back to class, hear Iwaizumi greet you and you greet him in return. Classes come and go, some little breaks too. Lunch break starts and here’s you grabbing your lunch as fast as you can, to meet with your friends in one of your usual spots, not allowing the boy to say anything else.
Alas everything has an end, what begins with you greeting him in the mornings splashes into lunch breaks. "Enjoy your lunch." It's almost a whisper but it's there. He just raises his hand in a thanking manner, a smile decorating his face as the sun beams on his face.
Iwaizumi Hajime intruded into your solitary moment of music and has not left since. In fact, his intrusion is not limited with your music, that you do not realize until it's too late.
Just like you don’t realize yourself getting used to his presence.
He enters your thoughts more often than you gave him credit for. You catch yourself mindlessly doodling him in class a few times, trying your best not to rip the page off your notebook. However upon seeing the way you drew his hair, you fall back into a pit of thoughts focusing on him again. It is a boring class; that should be the only explanation of you thinking about his hair of all things, instead of listening to your teacher. Is it natural, or does he style it in the mornings with some awfully smelling hair gel? You never spot a stinging scent though so it must be the former. Some days, the sun hits just right and makes it seem softer, making you want to ruffle his hair a little.
Tumblr media
What Iwaizumi Hajime first notices about you is your calm demeanor. You don’t speak much in class, always avoid raising your hand, you don’t even speak to your classmates until you settle down your belongings. You hold short conversations with them, it’s obvious all your friends are from other classes. Unless there’s a class happening, it’s difficult to find you in the classroom.
He often hears you making little snarky comments during class as quiet as you can, usually to mock something said by a student or a teacher or just to criticize the topic.
At first glance you’ll seem the type to take notes during class but observation shows they’re silly doodles most of the time. Some days you’ll move your head, shake your legs or tap your fingers slightly to a melody playing in your head. The movements are vague but perks of sitting close to one another makes him notice you.
And for some reason, you like to cross the dress code. Half the time you show up with eyeliner on, somehow making it look to natural on you, he has no idea how though; you wear the pants that are normally a part of the boy’s uniform and magically make them seem trendy, compared to the boring look he has.
What else doesn't seem to escape his atteniton is how you’ve grown so eager to leave the classroom ever since he interrupted you that day. You always rush out as fast as you can as if there's a fire on your desk. You avoid conversing if it's not in the morning.
Steadily but surely, your hard stance begins to melt off. There's an increase within your replies, you no longer avoid eye contact nor are twitchy to leave his presence when you're talking.
He wanders to the music room few times after his practice, in the hopes of finding you. Yet he ends up empty handed.
His best friend whines about him making him wait by the gates, even though Iwaizumi had told him not to wait for him.
As days pass and Iwaizumi’s efforts never die out, you start to get back into the classroom a few minutes earlier, (im)patiently waiting for him to say something. Just so you can say something back, anything. Your pride doesn’t allow you to be the one to initiate the conversation and he must've realized that too because he begins to say random stuff to no one in particular, hums to some of your silent commentaries during class (to say you were embarrassed when you realized he had been hearing them all along, would be a huge understatement.)
Tumblr media
A month since the piano incident has passed.
As soon as the last class of the day ends, he stands by your desk.
“Do you ever go out?” You would laugh at the serious look on his face, if it wasn’t for the question. He looks more like someone forced to make small talk with their nemesis than a high school student asking the other a very usual question.
“What do you mean? I did walk with you after school once, didn’t I?” You say raising your eyebrows, a little smile decorating your face.
He scoffs at you taking his question in a literal sense.
“I meant as in going out in your spare time with people, you know, like hanging out.” His face softens a bit as he talks, maybe it’s the lighting feinting you.
You slowly realize where this conversation is going yet you’re not sure if you want to avoid it or not.
“Well I am a human being craving human contact once in a while, of course I go out with people, hang out with friends and spend time with them.” You reply, attempting to sound… what? Playful? Cynical? Honestly, you have no idea at this point.
“Then, would you like to meet up this weekend if you’re available?”
“Why.” It’s not a question leaving your lips, but a harsh statement.
He detects the slight change of tone your voice.
“I don’t know, to spend time? I think I’ve made that clear already. Look,-“ You hear a little huff coming out of his mouth.
“-We can go to a place of your choosing at a time you can decide. If you don’t want to, it’s fine. But if you do, I have morning practices on weekends, so I have the rest of the day free. And honestly? You don’t strike me as the type to wake up before 11am on the weekends.” A playful tint flickers in his eyes.
You cross your brows and pout a little at his last sentence. You meet his gaze, and there it is. The light entering the classroom just had to hit him so nicely and compliment his face as if he's a statue in the Piazza della Signoria. He looks somewhat amused with a smile, you don’t think you’ve ever seen him so relaxed before. It’s refreshing.
Upon realizing what just crossed your mind, your pout starts to morph into a scowl. At last you let out a frustrated breath. “Okay fine, sure. I’ve got to ask to make sure we don’t have any last minute family plans but yes, I’d like to meet up this weekend.”
You don’t notice the way you copy his smile and breezy air as you answer. It’s just the two of you in the classroom, smiling at one another in a complete silence.
“So, where to today? Any plans of spending time in the music room or...?” His words trail off.
“Nothing else to do here, I’ll just leave now.”
“Would you like me to walk you to the gates?”
Another thing you notice about Iwaizumi Hajime is that he never gives up. And frankly, you don’t want him to.
“Yes, I’d like that.” You give him a small smile. “Who knows what dangers I may encounter on my way out without a mighty knight to accompany me?” You elbow him by the arm as you speak. You two grab your bags and leave the sunlit classroom behind. The light seems to die out as you two walk away.
Tumblr media
Wind blows past your friend’s hair and hits you in the face, causing you to jolt awake, breaking out of your trance. Your friend gives you a side glance as the others keep talking, their words fell deaf to your ears.
“Hey. Where was that café you, Ayame and Koto went to recently?”
Okemia, the friend you just interrupted, gives you a look. “It’s right around the corner of Koto’s favorite coffee shop. Why would you ask?”
You just shrug. “I was planning on going there this weekend and I haven’t forgotten the way you guys talked about the desserts they had.” Her eyes beam at the mention of the desserts. She claps her hands in excitement. “You should DEFINITELY ask them the cake of the day! They bake fresh cakes every day and serve slices. Even the cream and fillings were all handmade!”
“Their macaroons are nice to have with coffee too.” Koto adds as Okemia opens her phone gallery to show you photos of the said baked goods. She stops mid air.
"Wait, I thought you preferred calmer, hidden places to go by yourself." A gasp follows. "Are you going with someone that is not us?" She has her empty hand over your head now, making a dramatic pose, looking like a kid at a silly school play rehersal. All you can do is roll your eyes. "I'll meet with someone from my class, I am not leaving you guys, don't worry."
"Oh the betrayal! How quickly you've replaced us right after that traitor." Everyone in the circle starts to laugh at this point.
"You are mistaken. Is' betrayal goes far back before the class rearrangement." Etsuko joins in on the conversation. Eyes closed, heads nodding, with your faces as if you're all humming in sync.
"On my defense; my shitty twin was a traitor long ago and you guys were sent into classes in pairs. I've got no one." Your voice tones down as you say the last sentence. Feeling something warm around your shoulders you look up to see Koto wrapping an arm around you and resting her head. You lean to her direction in response, feeling better now. You have never missed your former deskmate this much up until now.
"Anyway! Cakes!" Okemia speaks loudly and so you all fall back into a calming chatter of giggles and which baked goods are better.
Tumblr media
First thing you do upon entering the classroom is to approach Iwaizumi. “Okay so I have a café in mind that we can go to. It’s in the main square so we can just meet there.” Your words met with a nod.
“What time should we meet?” Curling your lips at that, you divert your gaze to the trees outside. The leaves barely move, standing oh so still on the light blue canvas.
“Maybe we can exchange numbers. I can text you when I leave practice and even if you haven’t woken up by then, you’ll definitely wake up at that.” He has this little smile on his face again, painted by the sun, shining so brightly.
“Yeah, that should provide enough time for me. I-“ Pausing abruptly you reach out your hand to him, met with another one of his confused expressions, you just roll your eyes again.
“Give me your phone, I’ll add my contact info. No need to get suspicious.” Cracking a smile at your last word, you save your name under your full name and hand the device back to him. “You can just text me that day, I will know it’s you.” Hearing the door close, the both of you see your teacher and before he can say anything, you go back to your desk.
Another day comes to an end, he asks again to escort you to the gates, at which you playfully refuse this time. Walking to the choir rehersal you think about the last few weeks you've had.
Iwaizumi Hajime intruded into your life one day on a coincidence, saw you at a vulnerable moment of solitude and hasn’t left still.
He has started to linger around more and more, enter your thoughts more and more and you cannot find it in yourself to get mad at this. The feeling is unusual, new and equally scary, yet the excitement it gives makes you ache for more.
You want to thank him, really. You haven’t given much thought to it at first but ever since that day, it seems your hands have been warm. Your playing has improved in your eyes, you can feel yourself becoming a vessel for the pieces you play. Feeling the melody flow through your body, hearing all the hidden stories in them, watching all the ballroom dances made to them.
It’s hard to turn a blind eye to the idea starting to slowly form in your hand. It cannot be a coincidence. it’s as if, ever since Iwaizumi entered your life, the coldness of your hands has left your body, leaving you with a caressing warmth in its absence.
You make a mental note to thank him for that one day as you walk.

“The Perfect Love Story” ~ Jimin X Reader
Tumblr media
Word Count: 3,891
Warnings: There are hints at Smut in here/Smutty writing, but mostly its cute and fluffy
Genre: Cute || Fluffy || Smutty Hints || SoultmateAU|| Zip Series
Summary:  Soulmates. Some people had one, others had multiple. You had friends who had had multiple soulmates, you, however, had yet to find yours
Tumblr media
Soulmates. Some people had one, others had multiple. You had friends who had had multiple soulmates, you, however, had yet to find yours. It wasn’t just a matter of finding someone and calling them your soulmate, there had to be something to connect you, with one of your friends and her soulmate it was a timer on her wrist until the moment they met, another one of your friends had the colour of their hair tattooed on her ankle, every time they would change their hair colour the stripe would change until they met and the colour would fade. Everyone’s was different, but for a while, you thought you didn’t have a soulmate, that you were supposed to spend your time alone, you couldn’t find what your soulmate cue was and what made you so special for someone else, that was until you were in an exam and began drawing on your skin, you’d finished the exam and had nothing else to do. You’d started with small symbols on your wrist and were about to move onto your hand when you noticed another r red ink spot you hadn’t drawn, it was on top of your hand. It began to turn into a drawing with every passing second, when it was finished it was an unfinished love heart, but drawn as a question mark in red ink, you frowned before finishing the heart with your black pen, smiling to yourself. It was nice to have someone to communicate with even if you didn’t know who they were.
Ever since that day you’d been drawing doodles on yourself and whoever was drawing on themselves that would appear on your skin, you’d come to the conclusion that you couldn’t exchange important details with one another, you tried to write your name to him but whenever you’d try it would change the name to something else, same with writing about meeting somewhere, it was as if it wouldn’t allow you to meet up, no mobile numbers could be exchanged, or other ways of communicating except through a pen and your skin as if it was a pad of paper, which sucked but you understood why there was a plan for everything if you were soulmates and it was meant to be it would be, it was just the way everything worked and no one could change that, it was fate after all. You could, however, write small messages to one another, asking about how your day was, all the usual small talk things.
You were a simple girl who studied between working multiple jobs while your soulmate, well your soulmate was none other than Park Jimin who was in a huge band, everyone knew him, everyone knew about his soulmate talent, some had tried to convince him that they were his soulmate but since they failed to produce a matching drawing on his skin he politely told them to leave. Multiple other fans told him to try and announce what his soulmate cue was to the news but again he knew that if it was meant to be it would be and when the time comes it would be perfect.
He was at a meet and greet when you began doodling out of nowhere, you were bored during a “study” session, you were supposed to be studying for an upcoming exam but you were blocked, you wanted to just get away for a little while and escape the boring textbook that was sat in front of you, you grabbed a pen from your pencil case and you started with a small rose drawing and then added a date in roman numerals along the side of it.
“XII.XII.MMXX.”
Jimin watched in Awe as it appeared on his left wrist, a fan in front of him smiled and watched as every petal was drawn carefully, he was mesmerised by it, his eyes lit up the moment the drawing started to come through, he loved when you drew flowers on him, or rather on yourself, you were creative with everything you drew on yourself, everything around him seemed to no matter anymore, even though his fans were important to him and he loved them, he seemed to love you and your drawings more, even though he’d never met you or knew your name, he knew you were meant to be and he loved knowing someone out there was made just for him and was waiting for him to come.
“She’s talented.” The fan said with a smile on her face, Jimin nodded along and then looked at her with a smile, signing her album and talking with her about the new upcoming tour they were going to be doing.
You sighed, getting no response from your soulmate, it happened sometimes. You just assumed he was really busy doing his thing so you didn’t fret about it too much, you just stopped drawing and got on with your studying.
“Was really busy earlier…Pretty rose.” You smiled at the message on your arm and then wrote back to him.
“It’s fine, I got some studying done. Thank you.” You signed it off with a small heart next to the message and then he began writing back,
“What’s the date?” You looked at the date you’d written down and smiled to yourself, it was the day you would finally be free from university, exams and the stresses of being a college student.
“My graduation date, the day I’m finally free.” He chuckled as the words came through on his wrist, he was sitting in the practice room with the boys, all of them watching as Jimin smiled at his arm like a mad man, they knew what was going on and they liked seeing him so happy all of the time.
“Congratulations, remember to stay hydrated.” You smiled at his message, he always did that. He liked to remind you to stay hydrated, or to remember to eat because you did the same to him. He told you once about how he’d forgotten to eat and drink all day because he was so busy and you made it your mission to remind him in creative ways every day, it started with a drawing of a cute water bottle on your hand and the words ‘Stay Hydrated’ along it and then it turned into silly puns to make sure he would remember, which he always loved and would show his friend Jin the puns, a lover of dad jokes.
“Thanks, I always do!! You too!"
Tumblr media
A few days later you noticed that the date you’d written alongside the rose wouldn’t come off your skin, it had never happened before. The rose was gone but the date still stayed there, you wondered if it was the same for your soulmate,
"Is the date still there for you?” You wrote down, biting onto the lid of your pen out of nerves, you didn’t know if he was busy or if the date would even still be there for him, you’d tried multiple times to scrub it from your skin in the shower and bath but it was as if it was a real tattoo now, and if it was real, you were glad you’d done it so neatly and not a scribble.
“Yes…It is for you too?” You smiled, that could only mean one thing.
“It is…It’s the day we’re going to meet!” You couldn’t stop yourself from smiling, you were in the middle of the library but you didn’t care. The time was finally going to come where you would meet your soulmate, finally find out who he was.
“The day you graduate and the day we meet…Sounds like a big and great day for us.” You smirked at your arm and drew a bunch of love hearts back to him before saying goodbye and leaving the library, it was going to be a weird day, you were going to feel weird about constantly looking over your shoulder in case he was there, or wondering how and when it would even happen…What time could it even happen, and how, were you just supposed to continue as if it was another normal day in your life?
Tumblr media
“Jimin, do you have any idea how many schools are going to be graduating today,” Namjoon said looking at Jimin who was looking anxious, the date had finally rolled around and he was nervous about how it was going to go down, how you were even going to meet when neither of you had no idea what each other looked like, he didn’t know which school you were going to or where.
You, on the other hand, were nervous about going up on stage in front of the whole university, and people’s friends and family, you were going to have to go up on stage, take your certificate and leave again, you were freaking out enough as it was. All thoughts of your soulmate and how it was going to go down were out of your mind at the moment, all you could focus on was trying to remember not to fall over when you went up onto the stage, or to try and smile a little instead of having a resting bitch face.
“Y/N!” You turned at the call of your name to see your best friend standing there, she dragged you into a hug.
“We’re all meeting at the cafe near Benson’s, 3! Don’t be late!” She yelled rushing off again, you dragged out a pen from your pocket and jotted it down on your hand, you knew it wasn’t going to appear on your soulmate but you needed to try and remember Cafe near Benson’s and then the number 15, you were hoping it would stay there, you were a sucker for forgetting things and everyone knew it.
Tumblr media
“The graduate!” Your friend screamed as you entered the cafe, you giggled as people in the cafe all turned to look at you, you smiled at them as a few clapped and then went to sit on the sofa with your friend who pulled you into a tight hug, you were still dressed in the silk graduation gown, you came straight to the cafe from the celebration.
“You looked great up there!” She yelled again, you wanted to tell her to keep it down but you knew when she was excited there was no quietening her down, she just loved to be loud.
“Thank you, I was so nervous.” You whined looking at her and then over at the door, the bell had signalled someone coming inside, you locked eyes with one of the guys, he was dressed in some ripped blue jeans, a black shirt and was wearing a black beanie, small bits of blonde hair poking through the bottom and black face mask, you frowned a little and then looked down at your friend, your face heating up a little, his eyes were bold and felt as though they were staring right into your soul.
“Oh shit, I gotta take this.” She said excusing herself away from the table and leaving through the door, you took off the silk gown and went up to order a cup of tea.
“Hi, I’ll have a cup of tea please, two sugars. Thanks.” You paid and went to sit back down again, your hands tracing over the date on your arm and smiling. You were about to look away when something started to come through.
“I see you.” You frowned looking up from the drawing to around the cafe, no one was looking in your direction so you took out a pen and began writing back.
“Teasing is no fun.” You signed it with a frowning face and then you heard someone chuckle, you glanced up again but no one was looking.
“Who said I was teasing…” You frowned and then wrote back to him, there was no way he could be here right now.
“Prove it.” You waited for a few seconds but then your friend came back into the cafe, panting about how her boyfriend was back home early from work and wanted to take her out to dinner, you nodded and she hugged you.
“I have to go. I’ll see you later, I love you.” She left and you sipped on your drink, looking back on your arm as she left the cafe.
“Cup of tea, two sugars.” You put the cup down and took the pen out.
“Enough teasing…Who are you?” It was silent in the cafe, you stared down at your arm waiting for something to be written back but there was nothing there.
“Hi.” You jumped a little, looking up to see the one who had walked into the cafe from before, his mask gone now, you glanced at his arm and saw the messages between you both written there, it was surreal finally being in front of him after all this time.
“Hi.” You said back, standing up to greet him, there was an awkward silence in the air, neither of you knew what to say to one another, but he sat down and looked at you.
“I’m Y/n.” You introduced holding out your hand for him to shake, he chuckled and shook it.
“Jimin.” You frowned a little, you knew that name somewhere, it wasn’t a common name.
“I think I know that name.” He looked at you for a second and then you frowned shaking your head,
“Isn’t that the name of that dude, in that Korean band?” He stared at you, a smile on his face as you put it all together.
“Holy shit, you’re him.” He nodded and you looked around nervously.
“Shouldn’t you be like…in hiding or something, you guys are huge.” He looked at you and then over his shoulder.
“It was worth it…I had to see you.” He ran his hand along the outline of the date and you smiled, he looked a little on edge though and every couple of seconds he would look out of the cafe window in case anyone spotted him.
“I can go somewhere else if it’s easier for you.” He looked up at you and nodded at you.
“That would be perfect actually…I have a hotel room nearby, it’ll be easier to talk there.” You nodded, getting up from the seat and going to leave with him, not even thinking for two seconds that he could be a serial killer or worse, but you didn’t care, you felt as if you knew him…connected to him, his hand interlocked with yours, it sent sparks throughout your entire body, you looked at his hand and then up to his face.
Tumblr media
“You’re telling me! Fans have seen what I’ve been drawing!” You blushed looking at him, you’d been sat in his Hotel room for the last four hours, doing nothing but talking to one another. Getting to know one another more and more on a personal level.
“I couldn’t help it, some would appear during concerts and meet and greets.” He chuckled, going over to the phone and ordering you both some food to eat, you’d met one of his band members already, Hoseok, he’d come by when he heard Jimin had company and he wanted to meet the one that had drawn a rose on Jimin.
“I can’t believe it finally happened.” He said when he came back over to your side, you looked at him with a smile.
“I can’t believe it either…do these stay now?” You questioned, your fingers tracing the date along his wrist and smiling, he was looking at you, studying your face as you smiled at your handwriting in the numbers, he took in the way your eyes sparkled under the dim hotel room lights and the way your lip twitched right before you were about to laugh at one of his lame jokes, he couldn’t get enough of you.
“Maybe they do, I’ve never met anyone with this style of Soulmate before…Hoseok’s was a weird one.” He said interrupting you from your thoughts, you looked up at him and he continued.
“The first words they were ever going to hear each other say were tattooed across the wrist,” You smiled at him and then looked at the door, someone was knocking on it, room service bringing your dinner.
Tumblr media
“If I have to tell this story one more time Jimin I’m going to lose my mind.” You groaned into his shoulder, you were doing a VLive together and a new fan asked how you met. You’d been dating for four years now and every chance he got he would tell the story from start to finish, missing no detail of your love story, he loved getting the chance to tell people about it and the fans did love hearing it.
“It’s the perfect love story…see!” He said pointing at all the love you were getting from Fan’s in the chat, you giggled and looked at him, then to the camera.
“Well it’s getting boring, I feel like we should spice it up…maybe say I rejected you for being so cocky and too flirty with me all of the time.” You joked poking his cheek and then looking through the chat.
“Make it into a book.” Someone said, making you giggle a little more, it would make a very interesting story for someone to read, you Jungkook and Taehyung had come up with the idea of turning it into a comic series one time when you were bored in the practice room, but all you had was rough sketches and an outline for a storyboard.
“Like you would ever reject me.” He chuckled pulling you into a kiss, you pushed him away acting grossed out and then looking out of the window. You were on tour with him, he’d asked you to come on their world tour with him and you couldn’t say no. You were currently in Paris and your hotel room looked right in the direction of the Eiffel Tower, it was sparkling under the moonlight and you smiled to yourself, you could have just sat there looking at it all night
“Say, goodnight baby.” He said bringing the phone over to you to wave bye to, you did and he ended to Vlive, you dropped onto the bed and groaned. You could fall asleep right there if you wanted to but Jimin had other plans for you. He came over and rubbed the bottom of your back, you giggled and looked at him.
“What?” You questioned, turning over and laying your head on his lap, you could have stayed there all night.
“Come on baby,” You groaned and sat up in the bed. You had to go to a small meal with everyone else tonight but you were tired from the plane ride and wanted to sleep the night away, just laying in his arms and not moving.
“Fine,” He chuckled pulling you onto his lap, you bent down kissing him, his hands tangling into your hair and holding you close.
“Baby if you keep kissing me like this we’ll miss the boys.” You whispered to him, but he groaned into the kiss and you got up from his lap, you knew what you were going to do to him for making you go out while you were jetlagged and you were going to enjoy it.
“I’m going to get ready.” You said, going into the bathroom and locking it behind you.
Tumblr media
You were wearing nothing but a tight fitted body con dress, it hugged your body perfectly and you knew it was driving Jimin wild, all night his eyes were on you. You were sat next to Namjoon all night so you were having long conversations about his lyrics and the upcoming album they were all working on. You’d always been close with each of the boys, hanging out with them whenever Jimin was busy with practice or when he was in the studio, it was nice to have someone else to talk to.
“I think Jimin wants your attention,” Namjoon said pointing at Jimin, you looked over at Jimin who was staring at you, his eyes burning into your skin, you sent him a smile and went back to talking to Namjoon.
“You wore that on purpose." You saw written across the palm of your hand, you looked over at Jimin and winked, not trying to make it too obvious to everyone else at the table what you were doing. He knew you too well, you did wear this on purpose. He’d brought it for you with the intent of you wearing it in the bedroom for his eyes only, it was a short lace black body con dress, so tight you were supposed to wear it without underwear, it was a little revealing but you wanted to tease him, you loved winding him up.
"Don’t ignore me," You continued to ignore him and moved on from Namjoon to talking with Hoseok, he’d been teaching you how to dance a lot lately and you were asking him to teach you one of their newest ones they’d been learning and he agreed to.
"Fuck I bet you’re naked under that dress right now…just you wait till we get back to the hotel room." You smirked, ignoring him again and leaning onto the table to make it look as though you were reaching for the water jug but giving Jimin a view of down the front of your dress.
Tumblr media
As soon as you got into the hotel room your back was shoved against the wall, your arms pinned above your head.
"You wore it on purpose.” He growled into your ear, you smirked at him and he pushed your wrists harder into the wall, you knew just how to wind him up in all the right ways.
“I don’t know what you mean, it’s just my favourite dress.” You whispered as innocently as possible to him.
“Liar.” He whispered, his lips attaching to your neck and sucking in the right spot that made you weak, you whimpered out, his hands releasing you, your arms wrapped around his neck and you pulled him closer to you, his hands moved down to between your legs and he ran his fingers slowly up your thigh, the tips of his fingers just brushing over your exposed clit and he took in a sharp breath.
“So dirty…practically naked in front of all of the boys.” You groaned, he was going to start talking dirty and that was one of your weaknesses, hearing him saying filthy words for only you to hear.
“Fuck Jimin, I need you.” You moaned to him, it drove him wild hearing you beg for him like that, he ground his hips into yours and you could have melted right there on the spot, you were putty in his hands.
“I should have taken you right there on that restaurant table…Huh? Is that what you wanted?” His fingers were drawing figure eights on your clit and you were already a mess, your legs starting to shake and he’d barely even started.
“Jimin, no teasing. I need you now.” He pulled away, taking you over to the bed and pinning you down onto it, his lips finding their way to your neck again.
“You got to tease me all night baby…I’m only just getting started."

Black Sun Tale | Her Lullaby
i said i’d post it today without a time, so here it is! you actually get to meet some of my favorite super-side-characters in this haha–
remember this is a first draft with only minor edits, but enjoy! comments are reception are always appreciated.
-
Oliver was off at school, leaving Ayu to his own wits at the house. Though, the assignment for finishing a section of the textbook deemed itself… ill-tasting for Ayu’s attention.
He doodled instead, most definitely, cursing his own drawings in the meantime. Thoughts of the events days prior already passed by his mind as almost nothing out of the ordinary. To be fair, however, Eilwen’s tests did pop up from time to time.
Despite the scenes he drew, those crosses and his own blood seeped an abnormality into himself while tapping his fresher skin. It ticked him. The thoughts of his relations to Akeldama poisoning him beckoned as another one of his mistakes. But I should’ve expected that, shouldn’t I?
Then there was Eilwen herself: follower in Akeldama’s society being punished by such simple items. The idea of her hands holding still from the burning cross stuck to him, leading him to wonder his own curiosities. Is everyone else the same, he asked. Certainly, they must have had pain tolerances similar to Eilwen’s words.
But, then again, he always had somebody to ask.
“Vittorino?”
“What is it, now,” he asked. His form appeared out by his and Oliver’s bed, sitting with an irked face.
“You… know Eilwen right?”
He scoffed, “Yeah, I’m taking you to see her later today.”
“I am?”
“It was a last-minute call,” he replied. “But why are you asking about her?”
Ayu adjusted himself before answering the question. “I just want to know what you know about her.”
The question brought Vittorino to a side-eye of thought, but he shrugged nonetheless. “There’s not much I know about her, or any first eras other than Alice –but everyone knows about her really–. All she really does is hate on Akeldama and stick herself inside her own room, but most of ‘em keep to themselves like us too.”
He fidgeted. “That’s it?”
“Yeah.” He then asked, “What, did she do something weird?”
“I guess she did…” He brought an explanation to the table. “I guess she was wondering about what’s happened to my body after dealing with Akeldama, which that was weird but… She tested me with a cross and her hands looked like they were burning…”
Vittorino’s calm face dropped just the slightest.
“She said it happens to everyone because of contracts, but she didn’t even bat an eye at it. I figure she’s just strong about it. She seems strong. But I just want to know how it is with other members in the society since– since it burned me immediately yet she took it like a champ.”
“Wait it burned you?” He nodded. “Huh, I didn’t expect that… I figured Oliver would but–. Anyways, you really wanna know about that stuff, don’t you?” Within a whim, Vittorino brought himself down to Ayu’s sitting level.
“It’s just been stuck in my mind for a while.”
“And that’s a bad thing to get stuck behind.” Digging through, he buried his hands into his pocket, viewing downwards whilst doing so. Soon, steam appeared out of the pocket as he paused, only to bring himself at a sigh when he brought it out.
There laid a wooden cross against his skin, burning up in a red yet he too held no response. “It’s a simple thing: it burns whatever is associated with a demon like Akeldama.”
“He’s a demon?”
“Probably,” he answered, “We figured once Alice told us some stuff.”
“So, he’s that bad…”
“Well, people take him for granted,” Vittorino commented. “Anyhow, this stuff is painful, yeah, but it’s just that some of us are used to the feeling by now.”
Ayu asked, “Why?”
“Because…” Vittorino shook his head, storing the cross back in his pocket and standing back up. “Because some of us like holding it sometimes… to think about things.”
“… Vittorino–”
The tallest chuckled to himself, turning back to Ayu with a cheeky smile. “I think I’m one of the only second eras who even do it, but it’s just because it’s funny. Like, we aren’t even allowed to hold it, how idiotic is that? It just shows how ridiculous all that stuff is.”
The lie radiated to Ayu’s discomfort, a good one for sure considering his character, but a detection in lies were somewhat of a tendency. “Vittorino, are you sure this isn’t about…”
He pushed the idea aside, “No, they were all idiotic. That’s why I left the whole place.” His foot tapped impatiently. “Do you want to go to Eilwen’s early or something?”
Ayu blinked at him, then back at the textbook. “… I mean, if it gets me out of language arts.”
Opening a door already, Vittorino rolled his eyes. “He really wants you learning all that?”
He followed him over to the forest entrance. “It’ll be important for when I’m older, and I really need to catch up anyways.”
“Yeah, like learning phonetics can help you fight stuff or whatever.”
“Ollie said that shouldn’t be my priority anymore–”
“That’s what Oliver said,” he argued, “but not what you decided.”
He ventured himself into the darker woods that steeped itself by its depths of a hillside. The conversation obligated Ayu to follow.
“I’ve been watching both of you ever since you guys had to be relevant in my life, and all you do is care about and follow others. But what about yourself?” The steps he trudged formed a beat to themselves, as if of a slow march. “Oliver’s was easy to notice since him caring causes him to start dying, and he stopped following people a while ago, but you’re less noticeable. For everyone, you’re less noticeable, since you aren’t dying from it. However, you keep caring and giving yourself away for other people. You’ll kill yourself eventually from just doing that.”
The speech brought fear to Ayu’s throat, as he gulped at those last words.
“’Everyone is manipulated by everything, but it’s in everyone’s power to take their own control.’” he glared down at Ayu. “That’s what I’ve been taught, and by now I think you should learn it for once.”
“… You were taught that by Akeldama, weren’t you?”
He answered, “Obviously. Like I said, he’s taken for granted with some things he says.”
Ayu had to argue then. “Vittorino, he’s a terrible person.”
“So, what if he’s a bad person? For me, he made me the great and living person I am today and got rid of so many lost causes from making more chaos.”
The excused seemed invalid with many counterarguments. “He caused the deaths of a bunch of lives because he felt like it.”
“And that’s where it is: he does what he feels. He has nothing holding him back and we can’t even imagine all the events he’s had in his life. He doesn’t follow anyone and that’s what makes him great!”
His excitement over the conversation peaked the slightest with his voice and giddy hands, to Ayu’s dismay.
“Oliver’s right, you’re a weird fuck.”
“If those guys are the ones that are free from all those rules,” he chuckled.
As they walked, Ayu tripped on a root again. “Why are we even walking here? Didn’t you want to drop me off at Eilwen’s?”
He shrugged. “I just like walking here, and I don’t actually have access to her room. She locked me out of it.”
“I…” Somehow, Ayu yelled in anger, “Vittorino! –”
***
Eilwen was found in the wild an hour later conversing with Alice. Though she hesitantly brought him back to the black-box.
As they sat together in their separate chairs, Ayu questioned her silence. “Why did you bring me here now?”
At the question, she bit her thin lip, her eyes piercing at him with an unknown feeling. Then sighed, “I asked Alice about your body’s behavior, and why you even have such odd relations with Akeldama… And I’m afraid I’ve now been tasked to prepare you for that answer yourself.”
Ayu blinked. “What do you mean?”
“I cannot explain any details. I’m sorry. However, you are not here for that; you’re here to learn of other matters.” Standing up, she grabbed her candle to light up others from behind her back, illuminating a distinct chart connected to her watch by a string. “That being the current members of the society today.”
Admittedly, Ayu groaned in the inside. “Can’t you take me on flashbacks again for this?”
She shook her head. “No, that’s rather unnecessary. I’ll only be explaining each briefly.” A face mirroring a sigh planted on herself. “Then you’ll meet some yourself.”
The last section peaked his interest at an instant, as his eyes beamed at attention once said. “You mean I have to meet them?”
“As annoying as it is yes. However, considering your importance, they won’t harm you now especially after the Margaret incident.”  She shook her head, adjusting her hat while setting up her watch. “Now then, let’s begin with the second eras.”
*
After many psychopaths and silly characters in such a presentation, the watch clicked onto the final member. In his seat, Ayu sat intrigued but rather tired, with his arm barely lifting his head up. All the faces he only met on the board deemed themselves a weighing amount to handle by sight from their demeanors and smiles or frowns.
At least some members seemed human.
“Finally, we have the accursed, Bluebell.”
Ayu tilted his head. “Accursed?”
The picture brightened up with a woman in the forefront. Her body still like a portrait, she hung against a wreath of giant flowers delicately with her gown and hair flowing. Her hair welcomed itself like long roots of strawberry blonde that breezed down up until her waist. The gown glowed in a gentle white, small patterns of flowers speckled across its edges and rims, and sleeves cuffed under her wrists leaving an airy puff to her arms. But within it all, crowned with flowers colored vibrant and beautiful upon her freckled skin, she smiled, wide and calm.
The beauty and serene nature of her image calmed Ayu as that of a young, mystical mother. However, previous members already brought him to a distrust. Plus, ‘accursed’ was finally explainable with her appearance.
“Don’t trust her.” Eilwen explained, “While Bluebell is objectively the most gorgeous of the first eras, she is most definitely the least liked.”
“And why her specifically?”
“She’s just a sinister addle pate,” she grumbled. “She has not talked much of her origins but she either lied to many or she held multiple jobs as a caretaker, nursemaid, and florist whilst as a young mother. The happenings to what happened to her child are unknown, though she joined Akeldama without them.”
The image, in Ayu’s mind, continued to stare down into his soul somehow. While doing so, Eilwen explained her abilities and methods of extermination.
The concepts blended with Ayu rather poorly along with all the other new faces. “I get she hunts down kids but aren’t I safe?”
She replied, “It’s difficult to consider… and to explain. She likes to fool around with everybody in general. Although, I’m not sure if you’d even be affected by her.”
Through some thinking, Ayu shrugged. “I’ll be fine; Oliver’s singing is probably better anyways.”
Eilwen’s expression downed itself, proceeding to blow out the candles near the board and summoning a door. “I’m sure you will.” The door opened up her hands, which signaled Ayu to jumped out of his chair. “Follow me, please.”
And so, he stepped on out along her side, yet through the door was not the average forest of Fowls. Glass-ridden, a topless hallway was formed, large and wide in its endless interior. On each side of its walls placed multiple doors all of which caked against each other in their designs, along with small silver plaques beside them all.
“Woah…” Ayu breathed out into a smile. “This is cool!”
“This is where you have access to the houses and fields of every member in history.” The coat that blanketed her shuffled whilst she returned back to the door behind them. “Many will be empty, I warn you. And I won’t be accompanying you due to all their annoyances.”
As the door closed, he asked her. “Wait- Wait! How am I supposed to get back here? Or back to you?”
“Elementary, now that you’re here, just think of this hall and the door will appear. Don’t hassle over it.” Then the door finally faced him flat, its carvings of bells and old clocks mocking him.
The situation brought Ayu to a grumble, not so much any fear in his bones more so irritation of mentors. Perhaps the day was a bad mood, we will never know. Though after a huff and sigh, Ayu trudged forward to the first door in sight.
The new entrance glossed itself in comparison to all the other wood-like structures, shining along carvings of fancy men.
One of Ayu’s eyes lifted up at the design, its properness making itself more of an oddity. And already his guesses as to who it was appeared in his mind. He took a breath, motivating himself to enter in, and with his sight closed, he opened the door.
Barging in, Ayu stopped himself before his speed kicked in. Opening his blind view, he was met with velvets and greens, as well as stairs to his questioning. Stepping over, he greeted himself to what seemed to be a rich brat’s lair.
Yep, it’s him.
At the edge of the floor, a table sat furnished in cards and coins, as well two party members sitting on each side.
“… I draw three.”
“What do you mean you draw three? I had just went all in.”
“Well, you always cheat so you’ll be disqualified in two seconds once King comes back.”
“But don’t we always cheat?”
“Yeah, but the two of us can’t manipulate the card order.”
“Then that’s just too bad to be you.”
The two conversed at the singular turn. Their bickering brought Ayu to a slight familiarity. Soon, he spoke out, “You’re… Eden and Cosmina, right?”
They turned at him instantly, the girl holding a card by her two fingers without hesitation. The appearances began to clear up for Ayu, however their clothing and accessories contradicted that of past sights. The man, Eden, seemed to have lengthy brunette hair tied to the back, edges still rolling off from the knot and blocking up some of his face, though a piercing still appeared by the edge of his lip. His top comfortably laying against his torso and thighs as a well-knit turtleneck, yet the sleeves ripped themselves off. Then Cosmina’s hair changed to that of a slim cut down to her chin, with her uniform only consisting of a tank-top, shorts, and thin coat.
Eden questioned, “Are you the kid Alice mentioned earlier?”
“I thought he’d look more off-putting,” Cosmina commented. “Not that I’ll complain. Were you expecting King?”
Hesitantly, Ayu nodded.
She stared down into his soul. “Timid, I see. Well, there’s not much to be weary of here. We won’t bite, if that’s what you’re thinking. And King’ll be here soon, he’s only getting essentials.”
Ayu’s words stumbled within themselves, ultimately bring nothing of a reply.
“You’re calling booze an essential?”
“What else are we supposed to do waiting here? Might as well get a little tipsy.”
“I…”
“Jesus fucking Christ you couldn’t believe the number of parents at the liquor store today!” The door behind them all slammed closed. Ayu and the others whipped their heads to find the last member of the party. His figure lean and confidant with his boxes hung around his arms; his tailcoat flowed as he paced up the stairs. In Ayu’s eyes, the man’s eyepatch glistened in its dark cloth, his short haircut to match. “Oh, it’s the kid.”
“It’s Ayu…”
“King, perfect timing, he just got here.” Cosmina walked on over to the new figure. They greeted each other by King’s kiss on her cheek whilst he placed the boxes down for her to grab. He kissed down Eden’s cheek as well, to Ayu’s slight confusion. “He’s a little shy, so we’ll save the drinks for later in case you two do something stupid.”
“Oh, who are you kidding? We all go stupid with bourbon,” King laughed as he tidied the small mess on Eden’s shirt.
Ayu scurried in his spot. “You’re King?”
“In the flesh, hopefully.”
The answer forced Ayu to gesture at the whole room. “Aren’t you supposed to be the fancy one?”
He muttered, “Damn, I really do wanna drink. Mina, get the OJ.”
“On it.”
“Anyways,” the focus laid back on Ayu. “I suppose that’s how I’m seen in the society.”
“Yeah,” Ayu eventually brought himself to a seat. “You’re the fancy-ass ruler with the throne…” he then pointed at the other two. “And you guys were the servants?”
Eden cackled. “Oh god, that takes me back.”
The king chuckled a little with him. “Yeah, I guess that’s how it was.”
“You all had old fancy clothes and stuff… what happened?”
“That shit was hot, that’s what,” Eden answered.
The girl returned with cups of orange juice by a hand and placed it on the table for the others to grab. “There were too many layers back then, I’ll admit.”
“Thank you very much,” King snatched a cup. However, he offered to Ayu, “You want some? It isn’t spiked,” as he eyed the alcohol in the corner.
That in itself raised Ayu’s hands against it. “I prefer apple juice…”
“Huh, we haven’t had apple juice in a while. I’ll get that later.”
Ayu still grabbed the cup from him, taking a sip to a surprise of the nice taste. And no pulp. “– Still why’re you guys like this now?”
King handed himself his own cup while answering. “Well, I will admit that back then, we did act like snobs.”
“It was you who was the snob,” Cosmina retorted.
“And it was you all who went along with it,” he added. “But what am I joking, almost everyone in the first era has some kind of act going on, especially if we’re talking about back then.”
Ayu questioned with his cup, “What are you talking about?”
“Everyone here exaggerated themselves back then, whether it be by fashion or action. We were just the types who did both,” King explained. “And while we did like the roleplay and the clothes, being immortal for four hundred years made that a little boring.”
“Oh yeah,” the idea of immortality seemed so normal for Ayu by then. “How is even being immortal.”
“Oh, my god, it’s terrible!” Eden raised an arm.
Cosmina said, “Remember you’re supposed to live a life for less than one hundred years and imagine doing the same thing four times.”
“What she said,” King sipped. “We followed the trend of the society for a while which was ‘stay in your rooms to do whatever bullshit for eternity’. But we realized that, in itself, was bullshit.”
The swearing still threw Ayu off.
“Usually people would off themselves after being tired of immortality, but we knew that was a stupid idea considering our society deals. So, instead of killing ourselves or moping like the rest of the ‘woe is me’ first eras–”
“And the even more ridiculous seconds.”
“– them too,” King continued. “We just decided to go and have a life outside of killing.”
“By… drinking and living off of orange juice?”
Eden drank his own cup of orange juice when he spoke, “Nah, the bourbon’s only for when we’re stuck here.”
“… You’re gonna throw that out later, right?”
“No, why would we,” Cosmina asked.
And Ayu replied, “Because my dad always told me and my sister to throw that stuff out for Mom so…”
“Psh,” Eden chuckled, “Then that’s just a bad parent.”
“They were pretty nice,” he defended.
“I’m sure your parents managed to fix that up, or at least will do soon,” King pushed aside to Ayu’s own bitterness. “But, no we aren’t alcoholics. We go travel and find whatever’s fun in the new world.”
“What?”
“We visit all different kinds of places in the world and do whatever festival or party’s going on there. Because, why stick here for a hundred more years when you can do whatever you want?”
“Whatever’s fun or whatever sounds funny enough,” Eden added, pointing at his own piercing with brows together.
“It looks lovely on you, dear.”
The compliments gave Ayu another topic to look upon. “… And all you three are?”
“A couple.” Cosmina stayed in the background during all of the answers. “Is there anything of it?”
“No, not really,” Ayu looked down at his cup. “I just, don’t know anything about that stuff and I’ve never seen three people before so I was wondering why.”
“Fuck monogamy, that’s why,” King replied.
“I drink to that.” With the raise of a cup, Eden drank more of the juice.
“…?”
“We do as we feel, and we all like each other’s company. That’s all the necessary explaining,” yet even Cosmina casually sipped the orange juice. “You’re only a child but once you really understand, good for you.”
“Wait… do people like each other just because they like their company?”
King interjected, “Well, there’s more to it but…– hold on we aren’t here to give romance advice!”
“I wasn’t asking for any! I was just curious!”
“What, are you having a school crush or something,” Eden raised a brow at him.
“What?” Ayu scoffed at the idea, blushing in the midst, “No!”
“Alright then. That’s that.” He finally set his empty cup down after playing with it. “Are you going to ask us anything else or are you done with your orange juice?”
“I…” He set down the cup. “I think I’m done.”
***
The other doors Ayu entered were abandoned by their owners long ago, as Eilwen told. Some brought worn down activities for Ayu to venture into, though others laid barren. Those barren lands packed themselves up, from the owner ready to leave as he learned. The ghosted lands still hung around with bright colors, but the dim atmosphere brought him to leave early to every single one.
King’s trio seemed like the biggest treat of the day, alongside their flavorful beverage, but he tried to ignore that. Their modernist attitudes stuck to him, as well as their farewells to his visit.
“If you end up joining us, come over here because everyone else sucks!”
Not the kindest gesture, he admitted, but the message still stood. He questioned the message, Am I joining the society soon? Is that what Eilwen’s worried about?
The idea pleased itself easily, considering his associates and history. Besides, with everybody’s growing concerns to his own apparent growing importance, the aspect of him joining them seemed of a satisfying end to finish his mess, in some way of the matter. Perhaps he would receive more power than he could ever imagine or be granted his wish to undo everything in his life. That concept pleased himself the most.
However, the price still stood ahead of him. That price of taking another’s life for his own lingered in the concept. And to that, he availed from the chances quickly enough, his heart too strong to break by himself.
There ahead of him, was yet another door to enter. This time, the wooden décor carved itself into flowers and leaves growing into one another in intricate detail. The petals fell and the stems kissed the grass carved below. In such detail in design, Ayu gulped knowing who it may be. And yet again, he brought his arm to open up the door.
Stepping into new grounds, the soles of his old sneakers brushed up against long grass. It tickled his knees as his first views of the land were made. Despite the nature field, her land posed itself as disproportional. Flowers grew wild and of various shapes and sizes which many were larger than likely possible of a normal plant. They all swayed rhythmically to nothing, dancing to their own hearts content at the silence, but also the humming of another person in the garden.
He faced doubt in the eye, and ventured more inside, ignoring his own inner-warnings. Quickly after drowning of the leaves in front of his path, he discovered the source of the hummer. Her long, angelical hair swayed down like a river, covering her face alongside her crown of wild flowers. She mumbled a tune as she watered a bustle of flowers, but the identity was clear nonetheless.
Bluebell, his eyes darted down the nearest bush and hid in its rustling leaves. Even with his mouth of courage to Eilwen, her own words left a mark of warning once seeing her in person. He managed to not flinch, to itch a muscle, or to form a single peep of gripe. After moments in time, and some flashing of black and white, Ayu sighed. Soon, he rung his arms to start crawling away and making it out of the door–
“And who might you be?” As soon as he stepped towards the outside, the lady grabbed him by the hood. She yanked him back to his startled fear.
“Fuck–” He pulled the hood in front to resist choking, and struggled with his own feet to muster up. “Let me go!”
With his light weight, she lifted him up with ease, her copper eyes squinting at his appearance. Yet eventually, she smiled. “No, no, come with me,” she pulled him, “You look tired; you can sleep here if you need rest.”
“Let me out,” he yelled, but to no avail.
“Oh, don’t be fussy, Ayu,” she giggled, “This will make Akeldama fuming. Just listen to me.”
While the pleasure of Akeldama’s misfortune would have convinced Ayu another day, the risk of her ability still lied as a great possibility for him. “No– Stop! –” However, he was too late to make a hit.
“My dear, in sickness, sadness, and red, can sleep from a song with sigh…”
Her voice echoed and rang into his ears, slowly softening every inch of this tension and mind merely from those lines.
“Your life, your soul, your ending night will rejoice with us in light.”
The lullaby wrapped him around, stopping his struggles and whines and instead relaxing and numbing the pain.
“Despite these somber eyes, I can see, there is time to close them away…”
Such a clear, siren-like voice called to him. It chilled the bones that wanted end so recently and brought along a warmth that coddled him endlessly. Soothing him, his own eyes began to calm into a slumber.
“In hope, my love, without life in sight, your days will say–”
“BLUEBELL!” Alice screamed at her, interrupting her beautiful song. From the erupt end, Ayu snapped back awake with the lingering melody as he turned to the distressed woman ahead of them. She ran and snatched him away from the siren, to his dismay.
“Oh, Alice, you ruined his fun,” she said.
The head of the society glared at her. “You impudent–” yet she turned back to the young boy with closing lids, “Are you alright?”
Ayu remained silent, processing the event that just unfolded.
Another slowly walked into the scene, somehow shying away with her scarf.
“Eilwen, I told you to keep watch on him,” she stomped towards the mentor.
“I–” she stammered. “I thought he would be alright considering he’s of–”
“He hasn’t developed at all yet! He’s only a mere child at this stage!” Alice shrieked in her stop. “God, didn’t you think of how Akeldama could be upset by this? – Ugh, that’s beyond the point now. At least I managed to catch him before Akeldama arrived… How are you feeling Z– Ayu?”
The argument rather unsettled Ayu’s mood. The lullaby from before seemed as something to return to once more already… In all honesty, the song was not as horrifying as he imagined. “… I’m doing fine.”
“Be honest.”
More so, it lifted him up the slightest. “No, I really mean it,” he told her. “Kind of, uh, refreshed actually.” He forced a smile upon the odd feeling. That sense of wanting more began to kick in.
Alice nipped her lip and turned to Eilwen. “Do you believe it’d be alright to bring him back home? It doesn’t seem all that bad…” The head turned again to the wonderful lady. “We’ll only need to console you later,” she spat at her, who only continued to water her plants once more.
She scoffed, “You never tell us anything, Alice. How would I know of the consequences?”
“Well, your fun may have caused you your own death grave.”
Instead of anything else, Bluebell shrugged with a giggle, “Do you really think that matters anymore, Cecily?”
Alice huffed, patting Ayu towards the exit. “Let’s go; you need the rest.”
***
The apartment entrance shut as Alice led the way. Ayu scurried behind her, unsure of her silent aggression.
Oliver sat by the couch, legs crisscrossed and Ayu’s textbook on his lap. He poked a pencil by his hand, jotting down on whatever pages Ayu bothered to commit to the day prior. Corrections most likely covered the pages considering previous marks on his answers.
He turned around at them, his pale eyes peering at Alice. “Oh, hi… Alice, why are you here?”
Originally, Ayu would have pondered as to why Oliver never asked why he was gone; however, that failed to bring him down that day. Alice instead pushed him gently more towards the inside as she explained. “Ayu simply ran into a… mishap, while in Eilwen’s care. But don’t worry, she and I will take care of it.”
He dropped the book down onto the couch, standing up. “Alice, what happened?”
“It’s nothing for you to worry about. The most Ayu will experience is some improper thinking and a state of intemperance.”
“But I can’t ask why?”
“No,” she stated, her voice reaching a new low. “You aren’t to be involved with anymore things that can harm you.”
“So, he’s been hurt.” Oliver’s brows furrowed together at Alice, as he walked down to Ayu’s side. “Are you okay?”
He told him, “Yeah… I’m great, Ollie.” A smiled crept up the slightest in his dazed fate.
His face raised into that of confusion. Only for him to sigh, “Just go, Alice. You aren’t going to help me with this.”
She nodded in silence, and exited through the doorway and magic.
In the unknown, Oliver hummed and stared up until he faced Ayu again. “Okay, Ayu, what happened?”
Unsure of how to reply, the serious tone gawking him, he only answered back, “Nothing really… But, something really nice happened if that’s what you’re thinking.”
“… What?”
He figured Oliver would like his story. “I met this lady, who sang a nice song and I got to hear it… Too bad Alice stopped it though. Oliver, you should have heard it, she sounded amazing.” His mind bubbled at the thoughts of it. “I think I’ll go try and visit her again. You should come with me.”
“Oh.” His face softened the slightest. “Okay…?”
In the comforts of his thoughts, Ayu held up Oliver’s hand and gripped it in his smile. “Trust me, the song makes you forget about everything.”
At those very words, Oliver’s mouth sided downwards. “Sure,” his words slurred as he reached back in a smile.
Ayu let go of the hand, bringing himself to an arm stretch. “Well anyways, I’m gonna take a nap.” Drifting off, he told his final words to Oliver, “I’ll talk more about it later.”
In the room, instead of sleeping, Ayu actually giggled at himself and his own formulating thoughts. Not even sure himself as of why, he laid there, smiling and basking himself in the growing euphoria inside of him. However, his sense remained ever so prevalent, and his ways of listening peered from outside the room.
“You have a clue, don’t you, Vittorino?”
“Yeah,” he replied. “I’ve only heard of Bluebell, but I know kids are her main targets… He must’ve been affected by her ability.”
“… What does she do?”
He quickly jabbered, “It’s a more subdued but strong version of my ability. She sings people to sleep to kill them. But if she doesn’t finish her song…”
“Ah,” Oliver said once connecting the dots. “And it’s going to get worse, I assume?”
“Most likely.”
He sighed from the outside. “Goddamn it…”
But Ayu listened to it all, and all he could reply from it was to shrug. Oh well.

distance isn’t going to make me stop loving you. [repost]
Tumblr media
warning: unprotected sex, dirty talk, and a little bit of choking.
a/n: this is my first smut and I hope it is alright.
you and bang chan used to be really close friends in high school, some would mistake you two for a couple. sadly, you two never got together due to him being a hard-working trainee and you working on your art portfolio for college. it was quite difficult for both of you to hang out since you were an early bird while chan was a night owl. luckily you two still found a little bit of time to keep in contact, whether it be a phone call or a small coffee break.
something that the both of you kept to yourselves for a majority of the friendship was feelings towards each other. you were always head over heels for chan and chan always felt lucky and proud to have you in his life. he was actually the first one to confess his feelings towards you.
*・゚゚・*:.。..。.:*゚:*:✼✿          flashback.           ✿✼:*゚:.。..。.:*・゚゚・*
the whole of stray kids was at your place, you cooked them a ton of food while most of them were playing video games in the living room. chan wrapped his arms around your waist and whispered into your ear,
“you know, I love you y/n.”
this didn’t completely catch you off guard but you sarcastically replied, “well duh, I’m great. who wouldn’t love me chan?
he pressed his chin on top of your head and sighed.“no silly, I’m in love with you.”
you were speechless, unable to comprehend what you just heard. your entire body tensed up and your face turned a whole different shade of pink.
“chan, have you been drinking? you get awfully affectionate when you drink, darling,” you say softly as you face him and wraps your arms around his waist.
“y/f/n y/m/n y/l/n, I love you so much. it makes me feel drunk.”
you couldn’t help but cry when you heard those words, “c-chan I love you too but we’re not going to be together for long. y-you know that...” you say softly while hiding your face into his chest.
“I know doll, but the distance isn’t going to make me stop loving you. I can pinky promise that” he said in such a calm tone while confidently holding out his pinky.
“Okay, but if you break this promise then I won’t know how to forgive you,” you state while making serious eye contact.
chan pressed his lips all over your face and you were just laughing the whole time because he’s so damn cute.
*・゚゚・*:.。..。.:*゚:*:✼✿                            ✿✼:*゚:.。..。.:*・゚゚・*
after that night all you could think about was distance, how would it affect you, chan, and the relationship as a whole… would he end up falling for someone else?
once you and chan went your separate ways, those questions started to disappear from your mind. you and chan focused so much on your careers that it separated the two of you. as much as you love chan, you know that his career is way more important than you. it’s all he wanted and you know you shouldn’t take that from him.
you being the person you are, you tried your hardest to make sure chan and the rest of stray kids took care of themselves, even if that meant spending $100+ on food for them...
*・゚゚・*:.。..。.:*゚:*:✼✿                            ✿✼:*゚:.。..。.:*・゚゚・*
July is never a busy month for you so you spent a lot of time designing future tattoos and creating music on the side since it seemed to relax you. Luckily, you only had one appointment for the whole of July and you don’t even know what this person looks like. they also want a surprise tattoo so this session is just going to be amazing.
the morning before the session, the mystery person calls and suggests to have a larger design ready for them. since you were thoroughly prepared, you tried to talk about a price but the callers simply state, “I’ll pay you whatever you’re willing to take.” which left you in a total blur. that voice seemed familiar but you couldn’t put your finger on it.
FINALLY, YOU’RE MEETING MYSTERY MAN WITH SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE WORK. you spent hours making sure your entire studio was crisp and clean. for some reason you felt extremely nervous, you began playing some music that you love to sing and dance to. you spent what feels like forever singing and dancing to pass time (it was really 10 minutes of singing and dancing). you finally hear your client at the door and once you open the door you were hit with a wave of emotions.
you were trying your hardest to keep your composure but you just couldn’t stop the tears from coming out of your eyes,”c-channie? is it really you??” you exclaimed while covering your eyes. “hi doll, it’s really me. your channie!” he says while wrapping his arms around you,” I’m not actually here for a tattoo but I did want to see what could’ve been on my skin.” he states while bringing you back into your own home.
as you wipe your face, you quickly got up and grabbed your designs. “well, since I didn’t even know it was you!! I drew like 6 different things. cherry blossom tree, koi fish, a microphone, and different landscapes.” you said happily, “I’m quite proud of all of these, especially the landscapes.” you notice chan flip through your designs and finally looks up at you, “wow. they are all phenomenal y/n. I especially love the cherry blossom tree!” he softly states as his heart flutters for you.
“thank you chan but what the hell are you doing here??? I thought you and the guys have a bunch of important things to do.” you nervously claim while grasping his hands.
“I do have important things to do and seeing you is the most important thing I have to do today. I have missed you so damn much y/n, it’s making me crazy.” he pauses for a moment and moves you onto his lap.
“I miss holding you, miss your scent, the way you whine my name whenever I don’t do something for you. I miss making you and your heart flutter, miss your kind words, your random doodles, I just miss you, darling,” you felt him tense up as you tried to get comfortable on his lap, “ahh chan, you know you can always call me or come over,” you say in a slight seductive way, “I’ll always make time for you, as you said many months ago distance isn’t going to make me stop loving you.” you couldn’t help but grab chan’s face just to bring it closer to you. “You took the words right out of my mouth y/n. I can’t believe you remember that.“ chan’s hands wrap around your waist so tightly you could feel his heart pound against your skin.
"Can I please kiss you? it’s been so long since I’ve kissed your beautiful face.” chan whispers into your ear. all you did was a nod in excitement which made your body grind up against chan’s thighs. as chan was kissing your body, you couldn’t help but squeak and whimper very slightly at his warm touch.
you felt a little embarrassed at the small noises you made and decide to get up,“ I’m sorry… I’m being noisy.” you mutter while grabbing his hand,“ but I need you so badly. I need your touch and your love baby…” his eyes start to glisten in a way you’ve never seen before, he decided to get up and follow your steps.
“my baby doll is being needy, I haven’t heard you whine for me in a long time.” he states while sitting on your bed, “come on doll, I’ll take good care of you.”
as you crawl into bed, chan immediately moves you onto his lap. you felt his lips quiver along your skin as you slowly grind amongst his member. as much as you wanted to pick up the pace, chan just wanted to take things slow and savor every moment with you.
your hands roam his torso as he left marks along your collarbones, “let us take this off chan, I want to admire your amazing figure.” you whisper while playing with the bottom of his shirt. he quickly obeys your request and you felt your eyes widen, “have you been working out? your muscles look so defined!!” you say in excitement.“ well, of course, I’ve been working out, I wanted to look my best for you.” “you’ll always look amazing in my eyes baby!” you exclaim while placing your face onto his shoulder, “hold on channie, I have a surprise for you.”
you got up, played some music, and slowly started stripping for chan, while also dancing to the music. you were in black lingerie which showed off all of your own tattoos.
chan was completely mesmerized by the way you put on a show for him, his pants restricted his member which made him crave you even more,“ darling comes here now… I need to be in you.” he stated in a dominant tone. as you slowly crawl back onto the bed chan places his hands on your face and passionately kisses you. you felt his craving for you, so you took the initiative to pull down his pants. “all these years, you’ve been hiding this from me?” you stated while grasping his full member into both of your hands,“ my goodness baby… do you think you can handle me? I don’t want to hurt you.” chan mumbles as he thrusts into your hands. you softly chuckle as he worries, “channie don’t worry, I’ll make sure you fit. now, let me taste you.”
you left a trail of kisses along his torso and hips, he was a whimpering mess for you and my god you loved it. as he filled your mouth, you felt his hands grip your hair which made you moan against his member. he softly moaned out,
“y/n~ o-oh my god. your mouth feels so fucking good.” as you listened you felt his hips buck which made you gag a bit. “y/n if you don’t stop, I will literally cum in your dirty mouth.” you hummed against his member as you stare into his eyes while feeling him tense up even more. he forcefully pulled out of your mouth, grabs your waist, and positions your bottom in front of his face, “baby, you’re being naughty. I wouldn’t want to punish you right now.” he says while running his finger between your slit.
you buried your face into your bed while squirming at his touch,“ please touch me… I need you…” you whimper softly which sound like music to chan’s ears. he removes your underwear and slowly pushed his finger into you, your body decides to move into his finger and make soft moans into your bed. “my darling is so tight, I can’t wait to stretch you out. I can’t wait to see you whine and whimper just for me.” he said softly while leaning towards your thighs,“ I just love every part of you so damn much.” you felt his lips press against your skin and instantly perked your bottom up for him.
“my g-goodness, m-more, please… channie please.” he smirks and slaps your bottom, “not yet darling, I don’t think you can handle my cock just yet.” chan slowly puts another finger in you and kisses your hole very gently, “you’re dripping y/n, you taste so good.” he hummed against your skin which caused you to squirm even more. as he picked up the pace, you felt yourself getting closer and closer to your climax. “I’m t-too close baby. please please get inside of me.” he softly chuckles as he pulls his fingers out and positions himself at your slit, “okay love, are you ready? if it hurts please tell me.”
you nod quickly and push yourself closer to chan,“ yes yes, please fuck me.” he slowly pushes himself into you and grips your waist tightly, “holy shit, you are so so so tight. so tight and wet for me, aren’t you?” a mix of moans and whimpers fill the air as you struggle to answer him.
his hips bucking at an unsteady pace which makes you weak. chan sits back onto the bed and pulls you onto of his lap,“ please ride me, baby, I need to admire you.” you catch your breath for a moment and slip his member into you, “channie you’re fucking huge…” you bit your lips and wrap your arms around his neck while pushing yourself all the way down. you can feel chan’s breath along your skin, you slowly grind amongst his member.
chan lets you take your time, you moved your hands towards his neck in hopes to restrain his breathing for a little bit. “hmm, what do you think you’re doing sweet cheeks? do you want to choke me?” all you do is nod while slowly adding pressure to the base of his throat, as he slightly struggles to breathe you decide to pick up your pace quite a bit.
you made sure all of him was in you, hitting your sweet spot every time you push down. you tried your hardest not to make loud noises but chan made that impossible for you, “channie please please pound into me, please please.” that plead came from your gut and chan felt it.
he quickly placed you onto your back and pushes himself all the way into you, grazing your sweet spot again. chan muttered curse words and your name constantly, making you feel even better about letting him fuck you. chan rubbed your slit gently while ramming himself into you as fast and rough as he can. you moaned and whimpered loudly while gripping chan’s blonde hair.
“i-i need to c-come…” you were clenching around chan’s member and trying to hold yourself together until he says that you can come, “channie, please… I need it.” you whined and plead for him to let you reach euphoria and finally, he pulls out and replaces his member with his wide tongue. “y/n~ come now, baby. come all over my face.”
finally, you were able to let yourself go and my god, chan looked like he was ready to have another round. as your high came down, you realized he hasn’t come for you just yet. “babyyyyy I want your load in me!!”
chan chuckles and squeezes your cheeks, “okay darling, open nice and wide for me.” he states while positioning himself by your lips. you quickly obliged and placed your hands on his thighs. he thrusts himself into your mouth while gripping your hair, he was close to his climax but just wanted to admire how you looked with his member stuffed into your mouth. “ahhh y/n~ you look so good right now. oh fuck.”
he kept hitting the back of your throat which made your eyes water and you gag. after one last thrust, he finally released his load all into your mouth and you hummed in complete pleasure.
“I missed you so much channie~ I love you so damn much!” you whisper while laying down beside him, “thank you for this baby. I love you too y/n.”
*・゚゚・*:.。..。.:*゚:*:✼✿          aftercare.           ✿✼:*゚:.。..。.:*・゚゚・*
“Let us take a nice warm bath, I feel like I was quite rough with you today.” chan says as he sits up, “I’ll only take a bath if you carry me to it,” you said jokingly as he quickly rushes to start the bath. all of a sudden you’re in the bathtub with chan’s fingers brushing through your hair and rubs your body very softly which made you melt into his arms.
after the nice and calm bath, you put on chan’s old sweatshirt that he lent you many years ago. “y/n I’ve been looking for that sweatshirt for years!!! why didn’t you tell me it was with you?!” he exclaimed as he crawls into your bed. “You never asked me about it baby, so it’s mine until you ask.” you jokingly said while sticking out your tongue and crawling into bed. ”also, I think I look much better in this sweatshirt than you do baby. it just fits me so perfectly.”
chan laughs as he brings you up to his face,” whatever you say y/n. anyways goodnight my sweet peach, you’ll need to rest for what I have prepared for tomorrow.” your face showed clear shock but you refused to argue since you were just so tired, “okay channie, I love you so much!! goodnight.”
“I love you too y/n… sweet dreams,” he says before kissing the top of your head and slowly falling asleep with your head on top of his chest.

Sunshine Smiles
Shouto’s father was an ass. Well, he wasn’t the worst, he had gotten better, but he still took Shouto’s phone and laptop every time he went up to his room. ‘It is a distraction’ his father would say. Shouto thought he was just being an ass and liked to annoy Shouto, mostly because he wasn’t able to properly operate his own phone.
Nonetheless, Shouto was a seventeen-year-old, stuck in his bedroom with nothing. Well, there were books, but he didn’t want books. He wanted to talk with Izuku, his best friends and his not-so-secret crush. Apparently, the crush was only a secret for Izuku, and a long time, for Shouto himself. He hadn’t realised he liked his friend romantically, he had just assumed it was perfectly normal to feel warm and safe around someone you trusted. Later on, he had realised he hadn’t the same feelings around Momo, who was also a dear friend of him. And he never had the desire to kiss her.
Shouto definitely had considered kissing Izuku sometimes. He looked really kissable, with his freckled nose and cheeks, his big, green eyes, a mop of curly hair and lips that never stopped moving. Thankfully not because Izuku was kissing someone, but because Izuku never stopped talking about whatever fascinating thing he just had read. Shouto loved listening to Izuku.
It didn’t matter that he had a crush on his best friend. After all, his best friend was dating someone else. Uraraka Ochako was a sweet girl and Shouto couldn’t hate her. She clearly adored Izuku, and Izuku clearly adored her. And even with his little knowledge concerning romance, he could see that the two of them were cute together.
Lying sprawled on his bed, Shouto was half-asleep when he noticed a bright light flickering on and off. Only his desk-light was on, and that thing was only burning lightly, casting a warm glow over the wooden desk. But nothing more.
Finally, his tired, moping brain caught up with what was happening and Shouto nearly toppled out of bed, rushing over to the window.
He could look straight at the window of the house opposite of his. The street was pretty narrow, but it was still hard to make out details. But it wasn’t hard to notice the mop of green curls, or the bright yellow pajama Izuku wore.
Shouto waved, and Izuku finally stopped flicking his light switch, leaving the light burning.
They’ve been doing this for years, even before they got attached to their phones and spent most of their time texting. Midoriya Izuku has been living opposite his house for as long as he could remember, and they have been friends for almost as long. It was hard not to befriend Izuku, with his sweet appearance and bright personality.
Izuku rolled his whiteboard over to the window. Today was whiteboard day, it seemed. Whatever was troubling Izuku, paper wasn’t enough to conceive the message.
While Izuku was scribbling something down, Shouto grabbed his own whiteboard and wheeled it over. One side was filled with junk, red yarn, pictures, newspaper articles. Shouto couldn’t even make sense of what he had tried to theorise, but he had been drunk on lack of sleep so probably it was something completely outlandish and ridiculous.
The side with the conspiracy stuff wouldn’t face the window, Shouto liked to keep that bit of dignity.
Looking at the Midoriya household, he saw Izuku doodling on the whiteboard. So he was done writing. ‘Math is killing me, h e l p’ it read.
Shouto picked up a marker, jotting down his response. ‘I finished it. What question?’
Izuku stopped his doodle, read Shouto’s message, and wiped out his own message. Izuku noted down one of the last questions, one Shouto had struggled with. He wasn’t surprised that Izuku also struggled with it, and this late at night you didn’t want to keep going on forever with one, stupid question.
Shouto started to note down the answer, after checking his own calculations. He was okay at math, but no way he could do it from the top of his head. He wasn’t a miracle worker.
Slowly, as expected, Izuku’s face started to light up with realisation. After making a few notes on an off-screen paper, Izuku erased his question and drew one big ‘thanks’ on it, surrounding it by doodles of flowers, stick figures and hearts.
He was really gay for this boy, there was no going back.
~*~
‘I’m bored,’ Shouto’s first message read, and Izuku tipped his head back in quiet laughter in response. His father had guests over, so Shouto had fled upstairs. Without his phone and laptop, of course, because he was planning on spending his entire evening searching the dark web like his father believed to think.
‘Me too tbh’ read Izuku’s paper. A second one followed. ‘U have time?’
‘Yes???’
Izuku looked like he giggled, but that could be wishful thinking.
It took Izuku some time to scribble down whatever thing he had cooked up. Usually, he used the whiteboard, but in his mid-term scramble, he had forgotten to buy new markers. No markers, no whiteboard.
‘Don’t laugh’ the first one read. The second one followed after a thumbs-up from Shouto. ‘What would be-’ and ‘-a nice date?’
Seconds passed and Shouto just blinked at the words. Izuku was asking him about ideas for a date. A date Izuku would take Uraraka on, most likely. He was asking Shouto of all people. The guy who was still single and painfully crushing on his best friend.
‘Not for me!’ a sign was added. Izuku’s face had grown red. ‘Kirishima’.
Oh, that was… better? Shouto didn’t know Kirishima all that well, aside from that it was their classmate, that he had started to dye his hair in their senior year and that he got along with basically everyone, including socially awkward Shouto and hot-tempered Bakugo.
Still, Shouto’s mind drew a blank. What was even a good idea for a date? Movies? Ice cream? Summer was getting close. But those were ideas that Izuku already knew, and if not, he probably wasn’t interested in them. Those would be the suggestions the internet would give you.
Shouto looked up to the heavens, begging whatever being that was up there to give him an idea. His eyes caught the sight of thousands of stars sprinkled across the vast darkness.
Not knowing what else to write, Shouto wrote down ‘stargazing’ and showed it to Izuku. Even from this distance, Shouto knew that Izuku’s eyes were twinkling like the stars above them.
~*~
It was pretty much an average night for Shouto. He had finished his homework, his father was insufferable so he had hidden upstairs, where the only company he had was Izuku. Thankfully, Izuku had finished his homework too and was willing to entertain Shouto by playing hanging-man with him. It was a silly game, but he loved it when Izuku came up with the most ridiculous words, creating small doodles around the vast surface of the whiteboard while Shouto guessed the letters.
After a couple of rounds, in which the score ended up being five for Izuku and one for Shouto—he sucked at this game—they moved on to just chatting.
Not in the mood of talking about school or his father, Shouto decided that their classmates were a safe subject. Uraraka had been sick for the entire week, which meant that Izuku most be worried out his mind. His girlfriend was sick. Shouto knew that he would panic if Izuku would be down with a fever—he had been there before.
So he scribbled ‘how is Uraraka doing?’ and patiently waited for Izuku’s reply, ignoring the painful stab in his heart.
Izuku looked confused, taking a long while to note down his reply. ‘She is okay???’ he noted down, erasing it and added the second part: ‘she told us, in the g-chat’.
Now it was Shouto’s turn to be confused. He knew that Uraraka had texted them that she was fine, but Izuku surely would have visited her!
‘You haven’t visited her’ he nodded down, adding ‘homework?’ as an afterthought.
‘No, Tsuyu did’ Izuku replied. ‘Why?’ followed after.
Shouto bit his lip, wondering if he should ask. Izuku had never told him that he was dating Uraraka, but it was blatantly obvious that they were a thing. He didn’t want to pry in Izuku’s private life, but he had no other explanation why he had assumed that. And he wasn’t going to lie to Izuku.
Shouto took his time by writing down his response, delaying the inevitable conclusion that yes, Izuku was dating Uraraka and Shouto didn’t have a chance.
Izuku stood frozen in shock. Not even bothering to wipe out his previous answer, he wrote down a big ‘no’ on the whiteboard.
Shouto felt relieved. He wasn’t even going to deny that. He in no way hated Uraraka, he even liked her, but he liked Izuku a lot more.
‘Why did you think that?’ Izuku asked. His handwriting was a hurried scribble, which was unlike Izuku who had eligible handwriting.
‘It looked like it’ Shouto answered in all honesty.
Izuku paused for a long time, apparently deep in thought. Eventually, he wrote a question on the whiteboard, not even bothered to confirm he had read Shouto’s answer.
‘Are you and Momo a thing?’ it read.
Oh. Oh. It looked like he was dating Momo. Maybe because they were close friends? But that was the exact same thing as Izuku and Uraraka. They were close friends, and immediately everyone, Shouto included, thought they were dating. And probably everyone thought he was dating Momo, which he definitely wasn’t. He was gay and had a ridiculous crush on Izuku.
He wrote down ‘no’ on the whiteboard. It was hard to see from across the street, but Shouto was quite sure that Izuku looked relieved. Or he was just projecting, which was quite possible because he was an absolute fool.
Wiping out the ‘no’, Shouto jotted down ‘sorry’, drawing several clumsy hearts. He wasn’t as artistic as Izuku, but he knew his best friend liked it if Shouto tried. Plus hearts were innocent, as Izuku threw them around all the time. It wasn’t like Shouto was pouring his heart out.
Izuku was glowing.
~*~
His father was out of town, so Shouto could have his stuff upstairs for once. Not that it withheld him from communicating with Izuku trough their usual means. It had a certain charm to it, and a nostalgic feeling. Something they wouldn’t be able to keep doing once they graduated high school and move on to college. In the back of his mind, Shouto had suggested multiple times if Izuku wanted to be his roommate. But this only had been a thought. He had been too big of a chicken to actually ask.
They had been playing a couple of rounds of tic-tac-toe, Izuku always winning or making them tie. Shouto hadn’t figured out the trick yet, despite Izuku’s insistence that there was indeed a trick to never lose in tic-tac-toe.
After Izuku’s twelfth victory, his neighbour wiped his board clean and started to jot down a message: ‘do you want to see the stars?’. Around the word ‘stars’ he had drawn small stars, the red marker popping against the black.
Despite being confused by Izuku’s request—they never had watched the stars before, he didn’t even know that Izuku liked watching the stars—Shouto answered with a hurried ‘yes’. Everything to get out of this warm home, even if he would be hit by the warm summer air. And, he would enjoy some time with Izuku that didn’t involve any of their friends.
He made  sure he looked presentable and told his sister he was going out (to their neighbour, so no, he wasn’t going out partying). He left with only his phone, a house-key, and a lot of excitement.
Five minutes later, after greeting Izuku’s mum, declining the food and drinks she offered, he was laying down on the grass, Izuku only an arm-length away. The warm summer weather meant that it was cloudless, showing them a star-filled sky. It was breathtaking.
“I can’t believe we’re almost done with high school,” Izuku said in wonder.
Shouto grunted in agreement.
In the corner of his eyes he saw Izuku move. Curious, Shouto turned on his side. Izuku was staring at him, clearly nervous. But why?
“You still aren’t dating Momo, right?”
“I’m gay.”
Well, that was out of the bag.
Izuku stared at him with big doe-like eyes, “I thought you were bi.”
“Gay, really gay.”
“I’m bi,” Izuku confessed.
Shouto wasn’t really surprised. He had a suspicious, but never knew for sure. He tried to stop making assumptions after he was completely wrong about Izuku and Uraraka dating.
A piece of paper came out of nowhere. Shouto assumed it had been in one of Izuku’s short pockets, but he would never know for sure.
Izuku slowly unfolded the paper, hiding behind the red ink and the worn lines of paper that had been folded and unfolded many times. It took Shouto a few seconds to realise that the red ink formed words, but hard to make out what it was, with how close he was to the paper.
Moving his head back a bit, Shouto finally managed to read the words.
‘I love you’ was written with a red marker, hearts in all sizes drawn around it.
Shouto was almost sure he was dreaming. Almost, as he had dreamed of this before. Izuku confessing to him, but never like this. Never lie on the grass, bathing in the warm summer sun and trying to watch the stars.
“I’ve loved you for five years.”
Izuku grew rapidly red in the face, eyes growing wider by the second.
“Five years!”
Shouto nodded.
“You can’t just say that! Now I feel bad,” Izuku hid his face behind his hands. “I’ve been crushing on you for, maybe a year?”
He didn’t really care. No, that sounded insensitive. He did care, but his five-year-long crush was just ridiculous. One year seems much fairer than being thirteen and barely able to grasp the concept of love. What even is love, aside from the wild beating of your heart, and an overabundance of love for a specific person?
“Do you,” Izuku hesitated, before determinedly grabbing Shouto’s hand. Izuku’s hand was sweaty and slightly sticky, but Shouto hadn’t it in him to take his hand away. Izuku must be as nervous as him, if not even more. “Want to go out?”
Shouto swallowed nervously. “Like, on a date?”
Izuku nodded. “We could get ice-cream, or go to the cinema! And since we’re going to the same college, we’ll see each other a lot even away from home! Maybe my mum even wants to take you along on our holiday, she loves you to pieces!”
“She wouldn’t mind us dating?”
Izuku shook his head, his curls falling in his eyes. He didn’t seemed bothered with it, at all. “She would be overjoyed, she knew before me, probably.”
Shouto suddenly recalled his sister’s knowing gaze each time he talked about Izuku. And as he hadn’t told her about his long-lasting crush, she must have figured it out herself. She never told him that she knew, though she never had disapproved of it either, as she hadn’t ratted him out to their father.
“I think my sister knew.”
“I think everyone knew it before us.”
It was a bit embarrassing to realise that Momo knew, and that she had been hinting and pushing the whole time. Shouto only had seen it as supportiveness. Turned out she just knew more than him. But in the end, it didn’t matter all that much. Because now they were there, holding hands, smiling like fools in Izuku’s backyard. Maybe this wasn’t the most romantic moment one could dream off, but Shouto liked this plenty. At least this one was real.

Human Canvas | Bang Chan
Tumblr media
✧ Genre: Soulmate!au, fluff, wee angst
✧ Summary: You were six years old when you got an inkling of what kind of person your soulmate is; they would draw little doodles on their arms all day, and you would draw back. But as an adult, its as if you two are at war with each other, with them covering your right arm with tattoos and you occasionally painting on your left arm for the fun of it.
✧ Word Count: 2.9k
✧ Want to read other parts of this series? Check out my masterlist!
                                         ✧
Growing up as a child in the era of booming technological advances and rising platforms of social media, it was hard not to become a member of at least one standing media presence. In your case, you were a well-known star on Instagram, showing off your strange yet classical renditions of paintings on the canvases covered with colors - or, on other occasions, your left arm.
As a child you loved to experiment with colors and silly doodles, even if you didn't have the creative capacity to paint your own designs. Your mother would frequently have to force you to take baths so she could scrub the childish splashes of color off of your arm - however on one occasion, you had noticed a little sketch of what looked to be a sad excuse of a shark on your right arm. Here’s the thing, your right hand was the only one that could paint or draw, so you had zero clue as to how or why the shark got on there.
When you’d asked your mother about it, her lips had suddenly parted as wide as the sea. “Honey, quick - write something on your arm!” She had told you, her shaking fingers handing you a blue-ink pen she had been writing with just moments ago. You didn't question her, since you were still just a kid that listened dutifully to everything your parents told you to do, and wrote out the word ‘hello.’ on your left arm.
Within seconds you felt a strange sensation on your opposite arm; when you glanced over at it in confusion, you saw red ink being scribbled onto your bare skin to spell out ‘who are you?’
That same day, your mother had the “the talk” with you - in which she explained that every single person on Earth had someone they were essentially destined to be with; no one knew why or how it came to be, but the evidence was there.
Your mother recounted on how she found her soulmate, your father, in high school. Apparently her bond was one where she could write something down, anything, on any sort of material and it would appear on the closest object (albeit reasonable) within minutes by your father. It was somewhat similar to your bond with this other kid, except if you drew something on your skin, it would appear on the same part of his body in seconds.
The boy you were bonded with, Chan, was apparently ambidextrous but preferred writing with his left hand, which was why he never doodled on the same arm as you. Within months you two had made interesting splashes of colors, silly sketches, and much more on each other’s skin.
However, as you got older, this came to be a rather pressing issue; in one of your college classes, you had been in the midst of a serious presentation when the professor cleared his throat awkwardly to signal you to stop. You’d looked over to him in confusion, as well as your giggling classmates, only to glance down at your right arm now covered in some rather... inappropriate designs. Why did you have to wear short sleeves that day?
In retaliation, you casually asked Chan what classes he took at school and when he had them; clearly he mistook your questions as just plain old curiosity, because the next day during his history class you had decided to paint a mural of bright yellows and pinks onto his skin. He was stuck with the neon colors all day, as none of his friends would lend him a jacket or coat in favor of laughing their asses off at him.
From then on it was like an all out war - he would doodle obscurities on your arm and you would stain his some ugly combination of colors. Then, one day, you’d woken up to a fucking tattoo on your right arm.
You were tempted to rant about it in a caption on a post, but decided you were better than that. Instead you took out all of your frustrations on painting your left arm with a plethora of delightful blues and yellows, creating a sort of rendition to the piece Starry Night by Van Gogh.
You snapped a picture of your artwork, feeling quite proud of yourself, and posted it on your Instagram page, it being only one of the many other art pieces you had on your page. In minutes the comments had been flooded with mostly positive remarks and a few mindful critiques, not that you minded; feedback was feedback, and all of it would hopefully further your progress as an aspiring artist.
Still, you knew that you needed to find Chan before he put even more tattoos on your body; you were a person who kind of needed to be presented as classy, and that meant no tattoos on your skin - sure you found it ridiculous, but you also didn't mind the pay you got from your job at the hospital.
“Y/N - is that, is that a tattoo?”
“For the love of - zip it, Minho!” You hiss at your amused yet stunned coworker, a fellow nurse by the name of Lee Minho. Both of you had gone through the basic stages of medical school together, and now you both happened to be some of the best nurses the hospital had seen in ages; so naturally, the two of you were rather close. “I didn't choose to have it, okay? That stupid soulmate of mine got it a few weeks ago.” You explain softly under your breath so passing doctors and nurses couldn't hear you.
Minho lets out a small noise of understanding, though his lips are still pulled into an amused smirk. “I see, I see. But why don't you just let it be seen, it's actually really cool.”
You sigh at his question, knowing he was just curious as to why you didn't want to show it off or anything. It wasn't like tattoos weren't allowed, per say, but you knew that it came off as more professional if the ink wasn't visible, no matter how cool it looked on your arm. “It’s just more professional this way, Minho. Don't get me wrong, I think the design is really interesting and beautiful, but now I have to wear long sleeves even though its hot as hell in here.”
“Fair point. So, you don't know where this Chan guys lives, or what his full name is?” The nurse asks, waving to a senior doctor that passes by you with a clipboard in hand.
 “Nope.” You reply simply.
“Then why not ask him? All you need to do is write it somewhere on your arm, right?” He presses on, the curiosity eating him alive as to why you hadn't just asked your soulmate who exactly he was and where he lived so you two could actually meet each other.
You blink at him, once, twice, and then once more. “You... have a point,” you admit to the man, who is now smirking all too victoriously at you, “but - whenever I asked for his name all those years ago, he said that his nickname was Chan. I’m guessing he doesn’t like his real name or isn’t ready to find me yet.”
Minho whines at your explanation, his fingers going to the that had ridden up to expose the ink, tugging it down for you. “It wouldn’t hurt to ask now, right? I mean, you’re both adults now. There’s no way that he doesn’t want to meet you yet.”
You shrug softly to yourself, subconsciously tracing over the part of the sleeve that was covering the tattoo. While you had been ready to finally meet your soulmate, you had an odd hunch that Chan just wasn't ready, and you were afraid to accidently pressure him into it so soon.
 “I’ll think about it.”
About a week later you finally decided that you really needed to find Chan, because he had gotten yet another tattoo on his arm - now along with the stunning rose covered in dark thorns just under your shoulder, there was a shorter cluster of thorny stems; it seemed like he was working towards getting a full sleeve.
It's not like you disliked the tattoos - in fact, you were amazed that you didn’t have to go through the pain or process of spending the money on the beautiful designs. You just wanted to lay out a few ground rules - like, nothing on the face... what, tons of people got face tattoos these days, you had a right to be worried about what else the guy wanted on his - and your - skin.
You’d been in the middle of scrolling through your feed, a french fry lazily resting between your lips as you nibbled on the salty snack, your eyes trained on the bright screen of your phone. Suddenly you stopped mid chew, eyes widening at what had caught your attention.
It was the same exact tattoo inked onto your right arm, except the stems had been extended towards the wrist where they wrapped around the skin to look like roots, and there were falling, wilting rose petals drifting down the sketch. Within seconds you had clicked on the suggested account’s username, waiting anxiously as it redirected you to an account run by what appeared to be a tattoo parlor. If you were right about the sleeve being an original design, then that meant there was a big possibility Chan had gotten his ink done at this particular parlor.
Furthering your investigation and completely abandoning the fries next to you, you click on the linked website in the parlor’s description, praying it wasn’t too far away.
Oh my god, you thought to yourself in a mixture of pure shock and growing excitement, staring at the directions from the map that had popped up when you allowed it to use your location, its only three miles away!
Not caring that you were still wearing loose sweatpants covered in cat hair along with a baggy, very wrinkled shirt, you literally jumped out of bed to run and slip a pair of shoes on, swinging your door open and shutting it quickly. You stared down at your phone as you hopped into your car, activating the GPS as you began your drive to the tattoo parlor.
The entire drive you felt like you were either going to puke or cry - maybe both. After all this time, after all those years of communicating through scribbles of messily written words on your skin, along with the silly drawings, you might actually be able to meet Chan... your soulmate.
When you arrived it was just another hour before it closed for the night, so you could only hope that someone working there would recognize the tattoo on your arm and be able to tell you who else got it recently. You quickly locked your car, nearly dropping your keys you were so jittery, and walked into the parlor. At the front desk there was a man with dyed blonde hair and darker brown roots, and the second you walked in he had glanced up at you with a warm, welcoming smile.
“H-hi,” you breathe out after a second of silence, still trying to catch your breath from rushing out of your house so fast, “um, weird question, but has anyone else gotten a tattoo like this recently?” You ask the receptionist, turning and lifting your sleeve so the entire piece was visible.
The man lets out a small hum, looking up at you from the desk curiously. “Our main tattoo artist designed that himself a while ago, he’s been working up to a full sleeve since about... four weeks ago, maybe?”
“Is - is his name Chan, by chance?”
“That’s his sort of nickname around here, yeah. His actual name is Chris. Are you... a friend of his?” He asks you, chuckling softly at your disheveled head of hair and red cheeks. Clearly you had been in a rush.
You shake your head at first, but remember that you are the guy’s soulmate, and technically you have known each other since you were kids - in a sense. “Is he here, right now?”
The receptionist nods again, jerking his head to a door behind the desk. “Yeah, he’s alone cleaning up right now. Go ahead.”
You send him a thankful smile, nearly stumbling into the corner of his desk as you walk slowly towards the door that is acting as the only barrier between yourself and your soulmate. Your mind is screaming at you to walk away out of sheer fear, but your heart is pounding so hard in your chest that you ignore any other thoughts racking your brain - and you walk inside.
Holy shit he’s gorgeous. Is the first thing that pops inside your head when your eyes land on the man, his right arm dotting the same tattoo on yours, his hair a pretty sort of silver color. The man raised an eyebrow at you, then glanced down at your arm as you quite literally held it out towards him.
“Um... what am I looking at?” Chan hesitates on his words, glancing back up at you in confusion. Your eyebrows furrow in wonder; was he seriously choosing now of all times to play around?
“We have the same tattoo, Chan - it’s me, Y/N!” You insist after an awkward pause, only to recoil in shock as his eyes narrow into a glare.
“Alright sweetheart, you’ve gotta be high as shit right now because I don’t see one dot of ink on that damn arm.” The artist retorts lowly, as if he was offended by your rash outburst. “I don’t believe you - Y/N would have to have my design on her arm, and you don’t.”
Your lips part in hurt, and a bit of... pride? Here Chan was, standing right before you with his arms crossed over his chest, glaring down at you because he thought you were some random chick claiming to be his soulmate.
 Then it hit you.
“Um - you know what - never mind, I guess I got confused.” You apologize to the man. “Actually I came in to get a - a tattoo. I completely forgot to make an appointment, so I can come back tomorrow or-”
“Just lay down and tell me what you want, I could care less about an appointment right now. No one else is scheduled to come in.” Chan instructs and you listen, going to lie down on the leather chair. You were nuts - here you were, getting your first real tattoo just to try and prove that you were his soulmate. Were there easier ways to do so? Obviously, but the adrenaline pumping through your veins mixed with the loss of any rational thought had skewed any other possible plans to convince Chan of your identity.
“Can I get... three birds on the back of my shoulder?” You blurt out suddenly, knowing that it was a simple tattoo. Chan hums at your choice, telling you to lift your shirt off so he can prep your skin. He tells you that he has a design like that and shows it to you for approval, and you of course nod in agreement and wait for him to get everything ready.
The next thirty minutes go by as a blur, with Chan inking your left shoulder with tiny black birds and tiny details of wind and feathers. Once he’s done patching it up, you tap his arm to catch his attention.
“Can you um... look at your shoulder?” You ask him, your cheeks heating up when he snorts at you in disbelief. You’re not sure if he’s just trying to flatter you, since to him you were some weirdo who’d popped into his tattoo parlor out of nowhere for no real rhyme or reason; but he does as you suggest, walking over to a mirror hung onto the wall. He dips the hem of his shirt downward and tilts his head to see - nothing.
There wasn’t a trio of black birds on his skin.
“Holy shit - you really are Y/N, aren't you?”
You glance up at the baffled man in bewilderment, wondering how he had figured it own even though your tattoo hadn’t showed up on his shoulder.
“Didn't you... didn't you see the birds?” He questions you quickly, only to furrow his eyebrows when you shake your head slowly. “Wait - maybe, maybe we can’t see what we’ve done to the other person’s body - I’ve heard of it before, in cases like this-” The silver haired man starts to speak a mile a minute, taking short steps towards you with each rushed word that escaped his lips.
“Sometimes, when soulmates are close to each other in terms of distance, the bond acts on its own and can make a sort of - barrier, I guess? Here, look at your wrist.” He says after he’s grabbed a stray pen from his cluttered counter, doing a quick doodle on his own wrist. You flatter him, looking down to see a cute little smiley face staring back up at you - then you glance to his wrist, seeing the same exact doodle in black ink.
“You can see it, right?” You nod, too shocked to speak. You had finally found him, your actual soulmate.
Chan lets the pen drop to the floor and wraps his arms around your body tightly, pulling you into his chest.
 “You found me, Y/N.”

The Wishing Well
Whew, I made it lol.  This is my story for the awesome @nalufever for the Nalu server’s secret Valentine’s Exchange.  LoL we had each other!  Omg, I hope you like it, I was trying to come up with a story around the idea we once talked about.  It ended up being a fluffy short story lol.  Okie here we go.
“Miss Lucy!” the little girl waves her hand excitedly from across the room.  “Miss, Miss, Miss!”
“Yes, Wendy?” the teacher’s aide walks up to the table and kneels, “are you finished with your drawing?” Nodding her head with a small blush upon her cheeks, the child holds her drawing up for Lucy to see.  “That’s wonderful Wendy!  Is that your cat?  But why is it blue?”
Wendy smiles wide, “name’s Happy!  Don’ know why he blue tho but it’s cute!”
“Yes,” Lucy chuckles, eyes brimming with delight, “he’s very cute!”
Content with the response, Wendy goes back to doodling a new cartoon while the teachers aid floats around the room checking on other students.  Lucy loved this part time job even though it wasn’t quite in the field she was studying for, the credit still counted, the pay was decent, and not to mention the students were adorable most of the time.  Of course, there were a few that could be a handful, but nothing the bubbly 22 yr old blonde couldn’t handle and besides, the teacher Mirajane was also a blessing to work with.
Storytime was probably Lucy’s favorite part of the day.  Books had always been her sanctum even from a young age and to impart that same love into these children was like paying it forward for the new generation.  They would gather round her with their snacks, the eager little faces and once a week she even delighted them with original little stories she would create just for them.  Filled with characters like Princesses and Dragons, of mythical elves and other magical creatures, even using their names mixed in to make it come alive for the awestruck youngsters.
Lucy smiles from her desk, this school year was shaping up to be a great one.
Across town at Magnolia University, a young man hurries out of class.  Checking his phone, he’s got 30 minutes to get to the primary school and pick up his sister, but traffic is often a pain at this hour.  His sister-in-law Mavis usually picked Wendy up but today she had an appointment leaving Natsu to rush.  It’s been a struggle for the 24-year-old, being thrust into the role of guardian at the age of 20, to drop out of college and take time off to raise a 2-year-old.  Not that it mattered, there was no way he was going to allow Wendy to be sent to a foster home after their parents died.  It wasn’t her fault tragedy struck and left her an orphan, so he was going to lavish that little girl with all the love and affection their parents would have given her.
He thrums his fingers on the steering wheel, as the car slowly crawled its way towards the front of the school.  The line of parents patiently waiting to pick up kids was pretty typical, however annoying it may be, but a requirement for the students in kindergarten and first grades for release at the end of the day.  Teachers and security waited with the children, handing them off as each car pulled up.  Natsu smiles when he finally sees the tell-tale blue hair of Wendy bouncing as she waves to him.
“How was your day at school Wendy?” popping the question as the first grader buckled herself in to her booster.
With a click and a bubbly response, “lots’a fun!  We drew and Ms. Lucy read us a story!  Ms. Lucy always has awesomest stories to tell!  Yuck, then Mrs. Dreyar gave us reading to do.”
Natsu chuckles, side-eying through the rearview, “What’s with the pouty face?  I thought you like reading?”
“Not for homework.  I wanna read for fun!”
That only makes him laugh harder, “tell ya what, how about we get some ice cream at the mall, then I’ll read with you, sound better?”
Wendy’s face lights up, “Yay!  Ice Cream!”
“Kozmic Cones it is!”
On the opposite side of the mall nestled near the food court, Faeries Café was a popular little hangout.  Good food that even a college kid could afford drew them in at all hours of the day. Lucy was no exception and today was her weekly meet up with her best friend Levy McGarden for coffee.  It had become a routine ever since they’d finished their undergraduate programs and moved on to graduate work, she in the field of English Lit while Levy focused on Ancient Linguistics.  Between classes and working jobs they rarely had much time anymore to hang out.
“How are things going with Gajeel,” the blonde stirred at the slowly warming coffee, “did you guys pick a date for the wedding yet?”
“He said not until after I graduate, which is only one more semester, so I agreed.”
Lucy leans onto her propped hand with a light smile, “You’re so lucky you found someone already Lev, I’m really happy for you two.”
“Aww, Lu you’ll find someone,” the bluenette reaches over the table and grabs her friend’s free hand, squeezing it before retracting back into her seat, “and I bet it’ll happen when you least expect it to.”
But the blonde just sighs, “Doubt it, I’m so busy I don’t have time to meet anyone unless they are under the age of 7,” chuckling lightly, “and no one in my college classes are very interesting to me.”
“You haven’t dated anyone since him that I can recall.”  Levy taps her chin, “maybe it’s not that you can’t but won’t look at anyone else.”
“What are you my psychiatrist now?!”  teasing at her friend.  “I’m fine, really, not like I don’t have enough on my plate to deal with, right? And as for my ex,” Lucy shrugs her shoulders, “we lost touch in college…”
The girls spend about an hour chatting and catching up, planning that upcoming weekend when another friend will be dropping by town.  Cana Alberona was never one to stay still for very long but luckily her job in fashion fit her personality well, jet setting around to photograph models and actors for Sorcerer’s Magazine.  She was so different in personality from the other two girls and yet the trio were inseparable in high school.  It wasn’t really their thing, but for Cana, hitting a bar or club was definitely going to be on the agenda.
Which was fine, she guessed, nothing wrong with hanging out with a couple of girlfriends at a bar.  Hopefully no one bothers us….  Ugh, but some guy always does!  As she walked away from the café, Lucy hangs her head wondering if her love life would always be a struggle.  She was sick and tired of even trying to meet guys when it usually turned out they only wanted her, sighing, for my assets….  It wasn’t her fault she was born with these curves, even thought about getting a reduction one day just so she didn’t have to deal with them anymore.
There had only been one serious relationship in her life and while the guy definitely loved her body, Lucy knew it wasn’t the reason he’d asked her out in the first place.  Back then surrounded by so many friends, she’d never cared much about having boyfriends or being in relationships but funny how things change and now 5 years later, it was kind of lonely.
She sees the wishing well a few feet away, absent mindedly pulling out a coin as she walked towards it. It was such a silly thing to make a wish and throw away a perfectly good quarter but well, flicking the shiny metal into the water, what could it hurt, right?  To have someone like him back in her life again, maybe the false smiles she wore would finally be real.
“Ms. LUCY!!!”
“Wendy?”  The young blonde turns around to the voice of her student, semi-surprised though this was a mall and all, just in time to have the little girl hugging to her legs.  “Wendy, what a nice surprise to see you here!” Lucy hugs the girl back, “but who are you with sweetie?”
The little girl, with eyes practically shining, bounces on her feet pointing behind her, “my brother gots me ice cream.”
“Your broth…” As she follows Wendy finger, Lucy cannot believe what she’s seeing.  “N-Natsu!” a light gasp as her hands fly up to her mouth and moisture clouds her vision.  “Oh my god! I-Is it really you?”
Sporting the trade mark goofy grin that she knew better than most plastered on his face, “Yeah it’s me, heya Lucy,” scratching his head, “Didn’t realize you were the teacher she always talks about.  How ya been?”
Tears trickle down her cheeks and before she can stop them, her feet carry her towards him, hands flying into fists.  In that moment Lucy’s surroundings fade away and all she can see is Natsu, standing there in the flesh.  No Wendy, no shoppers, just him.  “Why!?” She beats at his chest, “no calls, no texts, no goodbye!  Four years! Y-you just left me hanging how could you Natsu!”
“Luce…” he had no idea what he could say to the sobbing woman in his arms to slow her tears, grabbing her hands to stop their fury but keeping them held tightly to his chest. She was right, everything she said was the truth.  Natsu was an asshole for not making the effort to contact her as soon as he could, and he knew that.  So, he did the only thing he could and held her quietly, whispering soft apologizes and hoping it would be enough to soothe the pain he never knew she had held onto.
Eventually Lucy slumps against him, liquid still flowing but her sobs withering into lighter exhalations. “I’m sorry,” her voice strained and muffled, “I didn’t mean to break down like that.”
“No,” Natsu pulls her head against his shoulder, cradling the back of her head, “don’t be sorry, I should have reached out to you too it’s just that…
“I know about your parents….  I ran into Gray a couple years ago and he told me that’s what happened.”  Lucy pushes away just enough to look up at the taller man. “Natsu I would have been there for you if you’d have let me, you didn’t have to do it all alone.”
“I know Luce…. We…”
A meek voice breaks through the din, “I-Is Ms. Lucy okay?”
“Oh my!” Lucy pushes away and drops to her knees beside the little girl, followed quickly by the elder brother.  Still wiping away the streaks of salty liquid, Lucy takes the child’s hand, “I’m so sorry you had to see that Wendy.  I’m okay really, I am I promise.  We,” glancing to Natsu who nods, “we went to high school together and haven’t seen each other in a long time.”
The poor child’s face is still sullen and full of worry.  “Are you, are you mad at my brother Ms. Lucy?  Did my brother hurt you?”
“He…”
Natsu put his hand on Lucy’s shoulder, cutting off her response.  Turning to his little sister, “I did, a long time ago when you were still very young, I made Lucy very, very sad.”
“But he didn’t mean to sweetie,” Lucy chimes in trying to comfort the child, “your brother was going through a lot of things and it just happened.”
“So, you really aren’t mad at my brother?”
“No, I’m not,” the woman smiles.  “I rather like your brother a lot.”  Lucy feels the warmth tingling in her cheeks but does her best not to show it.  “He’s, you know like how we learned about the bad guys and the good guys in class?”  The child nods.  “Your brother is one of the good guys.”
That brings a delighted smile back to Wendy’s face.  “I think so too!  He takes really good care of me after mommy and daddy died.”
“I’m sure he does,” Lucy smiles back.
“Wendy, honey,” Natsu steps in handing out some change to the girl, “would you like to go make some wishes while I finish talking to Ms. Lucy?”  The child looks to her teacher, then back to her brother nodding, taking the change and skipping off to the wishing well.  “What’s the odds that she’d end up in your class?” turning to the girl still crouched, Natsu helps Lucy to her feet, “or running into each other at the mall’s wishing well?”
Lucy shakes her head rather than respond.  Magnolia wasn’t a large city, it was bound to happen sooner or later so there was no point in making it out to be anything more than mere coincidence.  “I-I sh-should probably go so you can get back to Wendy.” Lucy turns away.  “I must look like a mess right now…”
“You are still just as beautiful as the last time I saw you.”
The blonde stiffens. His words…. His tone… sends an electric shock through her frame.  Tingling along her skin when his hand comes to rest on her shoulder and the heat radiating from his body infringing upon her space.
“I’m such an idiot for letting you go once.  You must be settled down by now with someone….”
She shakes her head, refusing to turn around, and answering in a soft tone, “there hasn’t really been anyone since you.  No one’s ever treated me…. the way you used to treated me…”
One hand on her shoulder turns into two around her waist.  “I don’t expect you to forgive me Luce, but if it’s any consolation, I still love you, maybe even more now, knowing how much Wendy adores you too.”  Lucy squeezes her eyes shut, willing back the tears again. “Would you give me a second chance?”
“Please say Yes!”  The young man and woman’s heads whip around to see a beaming Wendy practically bouncing.  “Please say yes Ms. Lucy!”
Natsu let go of Lucy’s waist, turning her to face him.  “Well, Ms. Lucy?”  A large grin growing on his face with the thought of buying his sister that new dress she’s been fawning over.  “You wouldn’t want to make your student sad, would you?”
“Gah, you really haven’t changed,” she punches his arm, playfully with a smirk.  “Lucky you,” grabbing his shirt, “I still love that goofier side,” and pulling him down for a kiss….
