Just finished the third season of Bridgerton (it was an incredibly frustrating watch)...People have said that Penelope is named as such because of her nickname Pen and her being a writer... but has anyone thought of the reference to the Odyssey and Penelope being the wife of Odysseus? You know, she had to be loyal for 20 years while Odysseus gallivanted across the globe and was distracted/cheating on her Circe? I feel like it goes with the whole Polin narrative too. She's the one who had to wait for him to get a clue. And if you've read the Penguin version of the Odyssey, you know everyone is like omg! Odysseus, so amazing, the sacker of cities etc. Which parallels Colin's "glow up". Totally think it's more of a literary reference since the two of them are writers...

Before I go to sleep, I just wanna say that this show did killbot 86 so fucking dirty bro.
As if Sylvia didn't have it bad, Killbot 86 had it worst cause he literally exists for that one episode where Peeper acts like a lil bitch and whines like a crybaby to lord hater cause he suck at his job. And dead ass that episode got multiple animation errors so they literally introduced Killbot 86 in such a god awful/lame way by giving him multiple design errors in his first debut while also getting shit on by Peeper so they can prove that he's actually a "CoOL and bADaSs" character that grew a spine in s2 after kissing Lord hater's ass throughout s1. He has such a unique design & and the potential to shine only for them to just keep using him just so he can get his shit kicked in by the main two characters and then leave. That's it. That's literally it. And we barely got to know him so the guy had zero characters other than him being a bad guy & a bounty hunter. In which that could've been interesting cause bounty hunter's job is to capture criminal & fugitive. They're not actually bad guys themselves. But this show really treats them like they are, so now I'm wondering what killbot 86's true motive is since that "Evil as can be" karaoke basically confirmed him to be a villain. And since I love him much, it just upset me now that I'm thinking about it. If he doesn't show up again in S3 and at least give him a proper introduction again after a whole ass decade. What the fuck was the point then.

Your tags about charlie poisoning dee and frank compel me to mention that everytime someone mentions “dennis is a serial killer” near me I want to respond with “It’s more likely quick to anger and prone to rash decision making and holding grudges Charlie with his in depth knowledge of the sewer sytems and off the grid living would be a more prolific serial killer.”
NO STOP I . LITERALLY NO JOKE THAT IS MY EXACT SAME THOUGHT PROCESS LMAOOOOO-
CHARLIE BEING A SERIAL KILLER IS SO MUCH MORE FUN TO PLAY WITH. Like its ALL these little things in canon- HIS KNOWLEDGE OF THE SEWER SYSTEMS/LIVING OFF THE GRID YESSS, his comment about Jamie Nelson drowning being said with what seems like... fondness???, the "Bad Room", his writing The Nightman Cometh all as a scheme to try n pressure the Waitress into accepting his proposal by making a play that's like "see i had a bad childhood so u should just forgive me for everything! im not so bad after all!!", the fact that his job requires him to slip into a dissociative state in order to constantly mercilessly maim living creatures that he canonically resonates/identifies with, his ability to manipulate people with ease in general with his initial charm, the various parallels made between Charlie and characters like Patrick Bateman and Norman Bates and Buffalo Bill....,
like idc i think charlie as a serial killer would be Way more interesting... just think abt Charlie Catches a Leprechaun! he's a natural! and it's so hypnotizing watching the man work that u kinda GO ALONG WITH IT until the rest of the gang snaps us out of it,
also i do think Charlie Day is very smart writing-wise and he'd totally think up a character like this that is a subversion of that "harmless manchild" trope and turn it on its head by giving it a pretty grim ending... like . he's 100% smart enough and talented to pull smth like that off LOL
and i dont want ppl to take this as me trying to trash Charlie, cuz as I just said-- that is an extremely difficult kind of character to pull off!!!! Talk about a slow burn.... I am fuckin praising the man for his writing/performance of Charlie Kelly cuz he is so fucking convoluted and complex n im obsessed and a twist like this would just b the cherry on top

i just remembered the usa concept of student loans and time and time again it seems more cruel to me
like. i am a bit of a screw up academics-wise. i dropped out of three different unus after two semesters at most and i also worked a job that didn't need much of an education for six months in between. and i was able to do that bc i pay like 300 euros to my unis per semester, and like half of that goes into a public transport ticket. if i had to get along in y'all's system i would have drowned in debt by now. or taken much more drastic measures to keep myself going where i thought i wanted to go when i was 17. it seems to me like they really don't leave you much of a choice, in any direction. wherever you think you might want to go after highschool, you're kind of doomed to keep walking in that direction if you aren't filthy rich. so many people are probably grieving a future that was unattainable to them in some way or another, because they chose to do something at first and then couldn't afford to change paths, because of a disability that made your whole schooling system impossible to bear, or a thousand of other reasons.
and this might just be ramblings, and it's just a perspective of someone who never had to experience said system. but i think y'all should start to burn shit to the ground
