I love that we get to see the moment Katsuki Bakugo’s worldview starts to change. I love that he gets a center stage moment to realize he might not be everything he thought he was before UA. He coasted for so long on the assumption that he was just better than everyone else that having to face a class full of peers who were just as good as he is, even better in some ways, sent him into an actual panic attack and I cannot stress enough how important that moment is for him as a character

But what I love most is that Katsuki had his moment of panic and doubt, then said “okay, they’re good. I can still be better” and then buckled down and got to it. He could have sat in his tantrum and refused to change. He could have held on to the idea that he was born better and that was all it would take. But he didn’t. He decided that the one who was the best would just have to be the one who put in the work and then he DID it. Entitled asshole to hardworking asshole is not an easy leap to make but he did it.

idk if this is petty or ridiculous but bringing Romeo back and giving an explanation as to why he ditched baby Bobby kind of feels like retconning Bobby's first heartbreak, I guess?

I don't know if the story that Vecchio gave for Romeo was something that like actually happened with the Inhumans in an already established storyline but. tbh even if it is I don't really care.

Like Judah was older Bobby's first gay love and heartbreak yes but Romeo was the same for baby Bobby and it kind of feels like a thing like. being young and being in a relationship for the first time and then. it ending badly and feeling what that's like for the first time. It's an important milestone that so many people go through and especially was a thing for Bobby after finally coming out as gay (both baby Bobby and regular Bobby) and like. makign it so its like "oh he had a genuine reason for leaving Bobby behind so now he gets to come back and they can date again!" is just. rubs me the wrong way EVEN IF baby Bobby was the same as regular Bobby but like. THEYRE NOT THE SAME. Their experiences are very explicitly completely different! baby Bobby got to come out as a teenager, he did not go through the YEARS of repression and being in the closet that older Bobby did.

Yes technically older Bobby has baby Bobby's memories now but like. that still doesn't mean it makes sense for him to date Romeo!! You don't just randomly hook up with your childhood sweetheart and then get back together with them like. come on.

its so interesting to me how tezukas art is just... like very ageless to me. in the way of yeah ofc u can TELL its his you can tell his drawing eras and how it progresses if you study it enough but you cant really like. determinedly say yeah its from this certain era. like i feel it truly is just in a league of its own (altho i do need to read more manga from the 60s and earlier lol so i might just be talking out of my ass here). im reading something that you can TELL is from the 90s-00s by art alone alongside it and idk. its just very interesting how different eras have different art trademarks
