Time for a Story

Okay, so the city has been doing ★ 𝓃𝒾𝑔𝒽𝓉 𝒸o𝓃𝓈𝓉𝓇𝓊𝒸𝓉𝒾o𝓃 ★ near my house for a while now, but recently they started putting a road closure sign on our lawn when they weren't using it. Annoying, sure, but whatever. Or so I thought! Apparently the sign is blocking access to our mailboxes and instead of talking to the city or construction crew about it, the post office decided to put a note in our mailbox threatening to either stop delivering our mail or slap us with a civil infraction (citing a City Ordinance number that doesn't even actually apply to the situation btw, but I digress) if we didn't move the dang thing. So, I filed a complaint with the USPS against the Postmaster who gave us the note (they signed it with their name) for threatening us and not taking it up with the city and citing an ordinance number that wasn't applicable like I'm not a librarian who would check that sort of thing, etc. AND LAST NIGHT, I got a voicemail from someone in the local postal office saying that THEY HAVE NO RECORD OF ANYONE BY THAT NAME WORKING FOR THE POST OFFICE. They encouraged me to report it to a whole different department for investigation. Extra wild: Boyfriend was out for a smoke when the mail arrived and saw our regular postal worked put the note in our mailbox so WTF. (I also called the info line for the construction project to let them know about the situation and the sign was moved the next day, so like, that was taken care of, but I'm soooo intrigued.)

I mean I had a woman at the library try to faith-heal the computer by laying on hands on the gigantic CRT monitor, so...

saw another zoomer anachronism today while playing Gas Station Simulator, wherein the developers have included an "old computer" to read your emails on that is just a freestanding beige CRT monitor. we looked everywhere for a tower and there wasn't one. extremely funny

imagine ur garthy o’brien, just trying to fuck this hot ranger you met at your brothel that you own, except her teenage kids/wards/bosses keep knocking on the door to your bedroom and interrupting you guys and THEN you learn that she’s actually in a committed relationship but didn’t tell you, so THAT sucks but THEN one of the teens comes and finds you in the middle of the night yelling about how his friend is gone and they can’t find him and he might be in danger, so you help him teleport to his friend, and then when they all get back, looking extremely upset and dejected, you apologize to the ranger’s daughter for making her feel uncomfortable by fucking her mother and in the process SHE reveals to you that her mom’s boyfriend is actually this really cool werewolf guy that you KNOW and have fucked on multiple occasions

don't you just love it when a series has a good ending that takes care of all of its characters, shows how their futures will look like, ties up all loose ends, reminisces about old times, references important moments from before, and brings back elements of the very first episode, giving a nice frame to the whole series?

Started rewatching The Librarians and I forgot how great it is. I love the characters, the stories, the fun, the snark and the banter.

But as an Aussie, what I love most of all is that Ezekiel Jones gets to be Aussie. Did he need to be? No. Was it specific to his character? No. COULD he have been from anywhere? Yes. But we're just so used to seeing Aussie actors play characters who could be from anywhere made to use an accent and it's just... It's so nice to see a character just allowed to be Strayan.

Just, if characters don't have to be a specific nationality in the story, then let actors keep their native accents. It's so much more fun to watch.

I know “The Last Dam Job” was a lot of Eliot and Quinn with their hacking counterparts comparisons. But I really would have loved a scene with Parker sneaking up on them and poking each of Quinn and Eliot’s bruises and asking about Eliot’s clone.
