series masterlist | listen to the playlist
“hellloooo earth to oscar!”
it was no use. this was the third time he had unintentionally interrupted your conversation to respond to a text. all while doing so with a giddy smile, one you had never seen light up his face quite like this one did.
you had come over right after class, the two of you agreeing to hang out and catch up. it had been a while since it had just been the two of you hanging out, the inevitable busy schedules really hitting hard during your last semester. you missed your best friend.
missed meaning past tense. because although he was your best friend, right now, you wanted to snap his neck.
"oscar jack piastri!"
"oh- sorry," he mumbled the same apology for the third time this afternoon, "sorry, i was just texting someone. it's nothing, what were we talking about?"
you gave him a blank stare, "were you texting your secret girlfriend?"
you noticed the way his eyes widened a little upon mentioning the word ‘girlfriend’, "okay, one, she's not my girlfriend. and two, no. i was texting max."
and for the four years you've known oscar piastri, you could always tell when he was lying. and this time, he was lying right to your face.
you decided to play along with his game, letting him think he won this time. so you hummed, nodding your head, "okay, fine, if you say so."
"i'm sorry," he apologized again, locking his phone and placing it face down on the kitchen counter, "you have my full attention now, promise. what were you saying?"
"i was telling you about last week."
"right, with lando and the diner thing, right?" he asked and you hummed, taking a piece of popcorn from the bowl in between the two of you, "wait a minute, how'd you go from hating his guts and it being unbearable to be within 5 feet of him to 'oh my god he took me to breakfast'?"
"you know that party lily practically dragged me to?" when he nodded you spoke again, "apparently i really suck at beer pong and he helped me back to the apartment and helped lily take care of me. it was really sweet, actually."
he smiled softly before letting out a quiet snort, "sorry, just never thought i'd hear you say the words 'lando' and 'sweet' in the same sentence."
"i'm serious!" you sighed, pouting ever so slightly.
"no, i know!" he laughed softly, "it's just... you're just now finding out what i've been trying to tell you for the longest time? that he's actually a really good dude?"
you bit down on your lower lip softly, "i didn't really give him a chance, huh?"
"not really, no," he chuckled softly, "but it's okay. he didn't exactly help out his own case either, in all honesty."
you nodded in agreement, the front door to the apartment creaking open. you both turned to see lando kicking off his shoes, placing his keys on the hook by the door.
he smiled at you and oscar, "hey,"
"hey," oscar smiled, answering for you as well as you took in his appearance. messy curls, tight black t-shirt, grey sweatpants, duffel bag on his shoulder and a soft glow on his skin, you could tell he had just gotten back from the gym.
arms. biceps. veins. god, you should probably speak before you embarrass yourself...
it was too late though, he had already seen the way your eyes traveled over his body. he decided to put the mental note in the back of his mind for now, instead checking the watch on his wrist.
"oh shit, i didn't mean to keep you waiting, y/n."
you tapped your phone screen, looking at the time. it was 4:35, just five minutes passed when you said you'd meet up. it really wasn't a big deal. you didn't even know it had gotten that late already.
"no, no, it's fine. didn't even notice, if i'm honest," you smiled and he sent you a smile back. oscar watched the two of you like a tennis match, cheekily grinning at the counter.
"i have some of those papers you had me work on the other day, they're in my room if you wanna..."
"oh- yeah! yeah, sure," you smiled, grabbing your things as oscar silently laughed at the way you acted around his roommate. how you were unintentionally tripping and stumbling over your own feet and your words, how lovestruck you became.
you followed lando to his room, placing your things down and taking a seat on the edge of his bed as he looked through his closet for a change of clothes, "i'm just gonna shower real quick, make yourself at home, though."
you smiled, nodding his way as he closed the door behind him. after all this time, you had never thought you'd see the other side of this door. his room was slightly messy, due to his busy schedule and his active lifestyle. posters of cars and, seemingly, his favorite video games hanging on the walls. the bookshelf that sat in the corner of the room was littered with different textbooks at the bottom and little die cast models of his favorite cars, along with a few formula one cars that you had recognized. the top shelf stood out the most to you, though.
a picture frame of him and who you had assumed to be his family. a family photo taken during christmas, all of them dressed in matching pajamas. a big happy family.
the photo, for whatever reason, brought tears to your eyes. a smile on your face as you sniffled quietly, putting the photo frame back down on it's designated shelf.
the door opened, causing you to turn around as he closed the door behind him, "sorry, i figured you'd prefer if i didn't smell like a guy's locker-room."
you laughed softly, wiping away the small tear that came from your eye, "god, yeah,"
"hey," he said, sitting down on the bed beside you, immediately disregarding the notebook he was grabbing beforehand, "what's wrong? you okay?"
you nodded, waving a hand dismissively, "yeah, yeah, i'm fine. i just- for whatever reason, when i looked at that picture of you and your family it just uhm..."
he patiently waited for you to finish your sentence, "it just brought back some feelings that i wish it hadn't, that's all."
"fuck, i'm so sorry," he said.
"no, no," you shook your head, "you don't have to apologize, if anything i should be the one who's apologizing."
"you don't have to apologize for having emotions."
you smiled softly, feeling another tear fall from the corner of your eye. this time, he gently brought his hand up to your face, his thumb brushing over your cheek as he wiped it away.
the action made you breathless, as if the way he was looking into your eyes hadn't already. a mysterious color you couldn't quite put your finger on. it was a mix between blue, green and grey.
whatever it was, it was gorgeous and captivating at the same time.
you cleared your throat, the two of you moving away from the gap that had slowly been closing. your fingers untwisting themselves from his, you growing flushed at the fact that you had, at some point, interlocked your fingers with his unknowingly.
"sorry," you mumbled softly.
"'m sorry," he said at the same time. you both shared a soft and awkward chuckle before he grabbed his notebook from behind him.
"so, i had a few questions about chapter 15."
"go on," you said, studying his side profile as he explained the areas he was having trouble with. pretty tanned skin littered with freckles and moles, curls that perfectly kissed the skin on the back of his neck and his forehead.
the sentence lily had said to you last week repeating itself into your brain:
“...and it’s not like i don’t see the way he looks at you. he definitely is feeling something he doesn’t want to show just yet,”
oh, fuck.

The Art Of Make-believe Matrimony
Logan Howlett x fem!reader
Summary: You can’t stand each other, so it’s a mystery to you and Logan why you’re sent out together on an assignment. To make it worse, you’d have to act much closer than you really were.
Warnings: mutant!reader (no specific power mentioned, though), fem!reader, enemies to lovers, swearing, fake dating (technically fake marriage), mentions of violence, a little bit of suggestive stuff, a little bit of fluff i guess, and mild alcohol consumption. I think that's all but if i missed any, please let me know! also this is def loosely inspired by the movies 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith' and '10 Things I Hate About You'
Word Count: 5K
part 2
・˳ . ⋆ .˳⁺⁎˚ ⋆・˳ . ⋆ .˳⁺⁎˚ ⋆・˳ . ⋆ .˳⁺⁎˚ ⋆・˳ . ⋆ .˳⁺⁎˚ ⋆・˳ . ⋆ .˳⁺⁎˚ ⋆・˳ .
You hate the way he dresses.
You hate his stupid hair.
You hate the pet names he calls you.
You hate his voice.
You hate his hazel eyes.
You hate his smile.
You hate Logan Howlett.
It was no secret and neither was the fact that he couldn’t stand you either. You bickered like a married couple, constantly fought till you bled when you were training and couldn’t go a day without one of you insulting the other. Truthfully, it was probably because you were too alike - fire versus fire - and knew exactly how to press each other's buttons.
That’s why you were both confused when you stood in Charles’ office - dumbfounded expression on your faces - as he told you that he assigned you to a mission together.
“Oh, no way,” you nearly laughed, thinking it was a joke.
“Yeah, not happening,” Logan agreed. It may have been the only thing you’ve ever agreed on.
“That’s unfortunate for both of you, as I am sending you anyway. You are the only capable people that aren’t already out on an assignment or teaching a class full time.”
“How do you expect us to do it without killing each other?” you raised your eyebrows.
“You are adults. I trust you will navigate that on your own.”
Logan scoffed beside you, his arms crossed over his chest.
You sighed, closing your eyes in frustration and biting the bullet, “what do we have to do?”
“There is a safe hidden in the home of a very wealthy socialite who’s been involved in orchestrating attacks on mutants - injecting them with a serum that replaces their mutation gene with that of a normal human,” Charles began to explain.
Your chest felt heavy. It always made you anxious and a little ill when you’d hear the stories of people who hated you so much that they’d go as far as to harm or violate you in some way, all in the name of trying to rid the earth of you completely or turn you into one of them.
“The only known sample of the serum is locked in that safe,” he continued, “and I will need you to retrieve it. You are to infiltrate a gathering being held in her home, obtain the contents of the safe and return promptly.”
“So, we’re…going to a party?” Logan asked with one eyebrow raised.
“A dinner party,” Charles replied, “and another thing - you must not attend as yourselves. You’ve been invited on the good word of another guest - someone we trust - but you’ve been invited as a married couple to avoid arousing suspicion.”
He must’ve been getting some sick enjoyment from this.
“Married couple,” you repeated, your eyes narrowed, “Us. You want us to pretend to be a couple.”
“What, do I have to like - touch her? I’m not doing that,” Logan piped up.
“Oh, i’m so disappointed,” you rolled your eyes, sarcasm clear in your voice, “Fuck off.”
“You fuck off.”
“No, you fuck off.”
“No, you.”
“I said it first!”
“Enough,” Charles interrupted, “you will be attending as Mr. and Mrs. Smith.”
“Huh,” Logan hummed, “that’s creative.”
“Its inconspicuous,” he replied.
“What are our first names, then?”
“You have creative liberty. I trust you will come up with something just as unremarkable.”
“How about Sid and Nancy?” you scoffed, chuckling a little in disbelief.
“Does that mean I get to stab you?”
“You’d miss.”
Charles had his head in his hands.
“How about Jack and Jill?”
You both turned your heads to him when he spoke, pausing the back and forth between you that you were sure to continue later. You glanced at Logan and shrugged, indifferent to the names.
“That’ll work,” Logan mirrored your actions.
“Lovely. Tomorrow evening at five. I will have the address ready. In the meantime, here,” he opened his palm and placed two rings on the table, “these are your wedding bands.”
You huffed and took the smaller of the two, Logan picking up the plain silver band. Yours was simple - a false diamond in the middle and two smaller ones on each side.
“What, you couldn’t get me anything bigger?” you joked to Logan, holding up the ring.
“Oh, you want somethin’ big?”
Your eyes went wide and you elbowed him in the arm, groaning in disgust, “Gross.”
—----------------
Five o’clock came fast, your nerves seemingly increasing the speed of time. You’d made a mess of your wardrobe looking for something to wear that was comfortable, but not too ‘you’. What would a rich person wear to a dinner party? How the hell were you supposed to know?
Some nice pants, a blouse and complimenting shoes would have to do - it was the only thing you had that looked relatively formal. Adding some jewelry made it just a little more convincing.
You went down the stairs to meet Logan at the front door, dreading the coming hours. You turned the corner and finally saw him, leaned against the wall with his hands in his pockets. He wore a white t-shirt tucked into his jeans, his boots, and he’d traded his usual leather jacket for a suit jacket. He actually cleaned up pretty nice, but you weren’t gonna tell him that.
He heard your footsteps and turned towards the sound. He could feel the sweat starting to form at the back of his neck.
He’d never seen you in anything nice like that - you never really had any occasions to dress up for - and he hated how much he liked it. Your pants hugged you perfectly, your blouse was buttoned low and you even had on a little bit of makeup.
“You don’t look too bad,” he managed to comment, opening the door for you.
“That’s probably the nicest thing you’ve ever said to me,” you realized aloud, the both of you heading towards Logan’s truck, “You look alright.”
“Thank you, Mrs. Smith.”
“You’re welcome, Mr. Smith.”
He opened the car door for you, uncharacteristically gentlemen-like.
You shot him an odd look and got in anyway.
“I’m practicing,” He explained, shutting your door and walking around to slide into his seat, “can’t have anyone thinkin’ I’m a shit husband.”
“Good luck.”
“Uh-oh,” Logan had an amused expression, his eyes glued to the road as you began moving, “that’s not wife behavior, sunshine.”
“Bite Me.”
He clicked his tongue, “Feisty. Oh - I can use that when people ask about us! I’ll say it's one of your absolute worst qualities that any man would be repulsed by, but that our love is blind.”
You scoffed, “Great, and I’ll get to tell them you spend sixteen hours brushing your hair into cat ears and shed all over the bathroom like an animal.”
“See - now, that one seems a little personal.”
“It is.”
“Just pretend for a night that I’m the man of your dreams, okay?” he asked, “pretend I’m, uh - I don’t know, some celebrity guy you have a crush on.”
You were silent for a second, engrossed in thought, “you look nothing like Hugh Jackman.”
“Who? You know what - sure, pretend I'm him, alright? Just squint.”
Truthfully - and you’d rather be stabbed than admit it - Logan wasn’t far off from who you could picture yourself with. Strong, kind of handsome, good with kids. He was humble, most of the time. He was just terribly annoying and way too cocky.
It wasn’t long before he was shifting the truck into park and yanking the keys from the ignition. You let him open your door and walked beside him up the front steps.
“You ready, Jack?” you teased.
“Ready as I’ll ever be, Jill.”
He rang the doorbell and you stood awkwardly, eyes scanning your surroundings. The house was huge - probably only a bit smaller than the mansion - and modern, something probably built in the last ten years. The front lawn was impeccable, as were the marble statues strategically placed between foliage and flora.
The door opened and you inhaled sharply, trying to prepare yourself to lie your ass off.
“Hello! You must be Mr. and Mrs. Smith! So lovely to meet you, please - come in,” a woman ushered you in, her neck and ears decorated in pearls. You recognized her immediately, Charles having shown you both a picture of the hostess beforehand. You politely greeted her and introduced yourselves, already scanning the room for an emergency exit in case things went sour.
“So,” she continued talking, leading you to sit in the living room with the other mingling guests,”tell me a little about yourselves! John wasn’t very descriptive when he mentioned you. What do you do for work?”
Whoever John was, you silently thanked him.
“Uh, well,” you began, nervously glancing at Logan, “I’m a bank teller.”
Plain, boring, inconspicuous,
She then looked to Logan expectantly, awaiting his answer.
“Cage fighter.”
Jesus Christ. You were glaring daggers into the side of his smiling face and he pretended not to notice.
“Really?” the woman in front of you inquired, a hand on her chest. You watched her eyes scan him up and down, landing on the pecs prominent through his shirt. You scoffed out of instinct, faking a cough to cover it up.
‘Oh, yeah. Undefeated MMA champ.”
You looked away to hide the scowl on your face when your eyes locked on the vodka bottle sitting on the table a few feet away with a collection of other booze. Bingo.
“Will you excuse me for just a moment?” you smiled politely and walked away before Logan could protest, leaving him to his own devices.
You twisted the top off the bottle and picked up a glass, filling it with Vodka and some soda that was left on the table.You almost walked away with it, planning to keep it in your hands until you felt your nerves subside, until you remembered you were supposed to be a wife. Wives brought their husbands drinks, right? Not doing so would look rude and rude might blow your cover. So, you reluctantly picked up another glass and filled it partially with whiskey, knowing it was something he’d drink. You happened to glance across to the kitchen and notice a neat little rack of spices and condiments on the counter. A bottle of soy sauce was front and center, like a message from the universe, and you giggled to yourself as you snatched the bottle and hid it up your sleeve - this could be a good night if you made it entertaining.
You returned to Logan with both glasses, handing him the one filled with significantly darker liquid. He looked a little surprised but accepted it anyway.
“Thank you, sweetheart,” he said with narrowed eyes, a look that asked ‘what are you up to now?’
You simply nodded in acknowledgement, smiling at the hostess still standing in front of you.
“She’s a keeper,” he continued, holding the glass up to his mouth, “ always knows exactly what I like.”
You bit back a snicker as you watched him tilt the glass and finally take a sip.
His eyes went to yours immediately. He pulled the glass from his lips, mouth still obviously full of whiskey and soy sauce. If looks could kill, you’d be long dead.
“Good, honey?” you smiled wide then, taking a sip of your own drink.
“Mhm,” he hummed, clearly fighting a grimace. He swallowed and nearly gagged, coughing into his fist, “mhm, just a little strong.”
“Oh,” the hostess began, “Jack was just about to tell us how you met!”
A couple of guests had gathered in the same spot, all lingering in a semicircle. Logan was quite the charmer and it wasn’t a surprise that he already had a couple of women gawking at him, hanging on his every word as if any of it was true.
“Was he?” your tone was shrill but you attempted to appear playful, lightly smacking him on the arm, “Oh, honey, you should really let me tell it.”
Whatever he was about to come up with, you hoped it was not in the same outlandish category as cage fighting. Before you could begin, though, he dismissively waved his hand in your direction.
“No, no - you’re a little forgetful, sweetheart,” his grin was mischievous as he turned to speak to the surrounding guests, “so, it all started with a tshirt competition at a bar where the girls had to - “
“Nope! Nope,” you interjected, doing your best to keep your tone light and shaking your head, “haha - that must have been another girl, honey!”
That earned a few chuckles from the guests around you and you took the opportunity while everyone's attention was on you to try and spin a tale of your own.
“So, we actually met a couple years ago,” you started, mulling over what true details to sprinkle in or if you should make it up entirely, “uh - in a library.”
It wasn’t entirely untrue. You’d been at the mansion for a couple days before you bumped into him in the library while gathering books to try and put together your first lesson plan. You had a cup of coffee in one hand and a stack of books in the other - admittedly stupid - but you’d always been careful. Except for that once.
You had a book open in your arms, resting atop the stack you already gathered. You were walking and reading - again, admittedly not very smart - when you bumped into someone, spilling coffee on both of you and sending the stack of books to the floor with an audible thump.
“Fuck, sorry -” you began to apologize, finally looking up to the strangers face. It was Logan, of course, though you didn’t know that at the time. You remember thinking he was handsome with his scruffy mutton chops and well groomed hair - until he opened his mouth.
“What the hell is wrong with you, kid?”
You knew it was partially your fault but were irked by his attitude.
“Dude, you weren’t paying attention either, obviously!” you snapped back, looking down at the beige stain now adorning your white button up.
“I’m not the one who carries coffee and a shit ton of books at the same time.”
“Whatever.”
That was your grand introduction, neither of you even exchanging names.
Logan remembered it about the same way you did, though the version he tells is a little different. He loved to tell people that when you bumped into him, it was because you were so lovestruck that you just walked right into him. The part he always left out, though, was the first thing he thought when he saw you. He’d scolded you before even looking up to see who you were and when he had, he wished he’d reacted a little differently.
You were beautiful, even with coffee spilt all over yourself. You looked like a girl he’d only ever dreamed of, all the way down to the color of your hair and eyes. Unfortunately, he’d already been an asshole. So, from then on, that was basically your shtick - bickering over little things, calling each other names - all to the amusement of everyone around you. It wasn’t meant to be funny, but it was obvious to everyone else that the kind of teasing you did was only because you had feelings for one another - like two elementary school kids - and neither one of you seemed to know how to approach it. The mask would slip sometimes for either one of you - when he’d place a hand on your lower back, the times he’d managed to pin you to the mat during training - and you’d always find yourself staring at the ceiling that night, overthinking every interaction you’d had until the sun came up. He was never any better off, pacing in his room to try and decipher what the hell it was he actually felt for you.
Anyway, you decided to stick to the real story, minus the part where you insulted each other.
“We bumped into each other, literally, and I had coffee and a bunch of books in my arms. So, I drop the books, coffee spills everywhere - of course. Then I looked up at him, and..” you paused, the truth caught in a lump in your throat.
“And it was love at first sight,” Logan added, grinning down at you, “for both of us.”
His eyes were trained on yours and he continued to contribute to the story.
“The second I saw her, I fell in love.”
He was still looking at you. Why was he still looking at you like that? You were supposed to be husband and wife, right, but he was leaning into it far heavier than you expected. It felt like you were the only ones in the room.
A couple ‘aw’s were shared between guests and you smiled politely at the reminder that you were in fact not the only people in the room. As the conversation switched to another topic and someone else began to speak, you felt Logan’s hand at the back of your head, gently playing with your hair. Your face was pink - he was being too nice.
A short while later, you were sitting on the couch beside him, listening to someone’s drawn out story that you stopped paying attention to after six minutes.
“I’m gonna go take a piss,” Logan uttered unceremoniously and stood from the couch. He disappeared into the house and not even a minute later, another guy came to sit in his spot.
“Hey,” he put his arm around the back of the couch, his fingertips brushing your shoulder, “I don’t think we’ve met.”
You looked at the fingers grazing your shoulder and sat forward to shrug them off, “nope.”
He told you his name and you couldn’t have cared any less, deciding to actually tune back into the story being told rather than converse with him. He was alright looking, but his approach was far too off putting.
“So, did you come alone?”
You rolled your eyes at his question, opening your mouth to answer before he cut you off.
“Cause It looks like it, and I can’t stand to see a pretty girl alone.”
You groaned in disgust, hoping if you were dry enough in your answers, he’d leave you be.
“mhm.”
It wasn’t really an answer to anything, just a noise of affirmation. You hoped he’d get the hint then, but of course, he didn’t. In what would probably be the stupidest thing he’d done that night, the guy moved his arm from the back of the couch so he could squeeze your thigh. Right as you were about to tell him to fuck off, you saw a hand grip his shoulder from behind. Logan was leaning over the sofa, bringing his face a little lower so he wouldn’t cause a scene, his dog tags hanging when he leaned forward. He had a death grip on the guy's shoulder while he used his other hand to steady himself against the sofa.
“Hey, bub.”
The guy looked a little terrified, to say the least, but Logan didn’t let up there.
“Do you always go around hittin’ on people’s wives? Or is it just mine?”
His eyes were wide and he looked like he wanted to run but that wasn’t going to happen as long as he was in his grip.
“I-I didn’t, uh, I didn’t know she - “ the guy sputtered, trying to nervously laugh it off.
“Mhm. Hey, tell you what - why don’t you leave my girl alone and maybe I’ll give you a five minute head start to get the fuck out of here.”
He let go of his shoulder and that was enough to drive him away, the guy scurrying to his feet and finding somewhere else to mingle.
You didn’t know why you found yourself smiling the moment he’d said ‘my girl’. You rid yourself of it with a shake of your head, reminding yourself you were there to do a job.
“Hey,” Logan leaned himself down even further so he could whisper, “I gotta show you something, c’mere.”
You quirked an eyebrow at him but got up to follow. He stopped in the hallway in front of the bathroom, looked around to see if anyone would notice you, and promptly dragged you in with him before closing and locking the door. He hit the light switch and you looked around.
“Do you always take girls to the bathroom on first dates?” you teased, crossing your arms.
“You’d have to go out with me to find out,” he remarked, “besides, it’s not like that. Look.”
You watched him get low to the ground to open the cupboard under the sink and you crouched with him, following his pointing finger to the wood paneling in the back. It looked like a fake back - a board that appeared to be the back of the cabinet but definitely had something behind it. There was a sliver of metal visible behind it when you shined your phone’s flashlight.
“I figured we should look everywhere, so while I was in here I was checking it out - saw that. You think that’s it?”
“Could be,” you answered honestly, “that, or it’s some sort of electrical box we’re about to rip out of the wall. It’s an odd hiding spot for a safe.”
“Not really. Think about it - where's the first place you’d look for a safe?”
“Bedroom or office, maybe.”
“Right, and where's one of the last places you’d check?” he gestured to the open cabinet.
“Under…the sink,” you realized aloud, looking between him and the wooden board.
“Exactly,” he nodded, swiping the contents of the cabinet onto the floor to gain access, “here’s the thing, though - I’m too big to get in there.”
He could maybe stick his head in, but in order to duck under the pipes from the sink, he’d need to have shoulders that were much less broad.
You sighed, knowing what that meant.
“Alright, alright - move. This better be it.”
You reluctantly crawled under the sink and into the cabinet on your hands and knees. You yanked the wooden board with all your strength and it came free, revealing a metal safe.
“Got it! You were right, it’s the safe.”
Logan simply hummed in response, clearing his throat. You figured he’d be a little more enthusiastic.
Truthfully, he was too busy staring at your ass in the nice pants you were wearing to pay attention. When he heard your voice, he shook his head, as if to rid himself of the thoughts he was having about you so he could think of a response. He’d always thought you were beautiful, but seeing you all dressed up drove him a little crazy.
“Yeah? Is it locked?”
You inspected the metal box, holding the absurdly large padlock hooked around the latch that opened the door.
“Uh-huh. Padlock - we’re gonna need the numbers.”
“No, we don’t. Bring it out.”
You did as you were told, crawling back out with the safe under your arm and placing it on the bathroom rug. It was a pretty small one - probably a little bigger than a basketball.
Logan picked it up and set it on the counter beside the sink. He unsheathed a claw and sliced through the metal latch that held the door closed in one swift motion.
“Well, yeah - that's one way to do it,” you shrugged.
“Easiest way to do it.”
He reached in and took out the small glass vial. He put it inside the pocket of his suit jacket.
“What if it falls out?” you asked.
“It won’t.”
“How do you know?”
“Alright, kid,” he sighed, “what do you want me to do with it? ‘Cause i’m sure as hell not lettin’ you carry it.”
You rolled your eyes and looked him over.
“How about you wrap it in your jacket, like cushioning?”
“Fine.”
He reluctantly shrugged off his jacket, keeping the vial in the pocket but folding the jacket into a ball. You hastily replaced everything in the cabinet, safe included, and you followed Logan as he opened the door to step out - only to be met with another guest, her fist raised to knock.
“Oh! Dear,” she chuckled, clearly a little startled. She looked to the both of you, a grin appearing on her face, “Young love, what a gift. Don’t worry, I didn't see a thing!”
You shot her a confused look, chuckling nervously before you happened to catch a glance of your reflection in the bathroom mirror.
Your hair was mussed and your blouse was untucked on one side from having to bend up and down. Logan had taken off his suit jacket and you realized what it was she was implying.
“Oh, oh - we weren’t -”
“It’s alright, honey,” she responded as you stepped out, “like I said - my lips are sealed.”
She shot you both a wink, went into the bathroom and shut the door.
“She thought we were fucking in there,” you mumbled, eyes wide in embarrassment.
“Is that so bad?”
You snapped your head towards him, a confused look on your face, “what?”
Logan shrugged, “we're supposed to be husband and wife, aren't we?”
You shook your head in disbelief and decided to ignore him, both of you joining the other guests back in the living room. Dinner was finally ready and everyone took their seats in the dining room. There were a couple of things on the table you couldn’t even pronounce.
“Is that…meat? A vegetable?” you leaned over to logan, whispering behind your hand and nodding towards one of the dishes.
“Hell if I know,” he muttered, “I don’t think I wanna find out.”
You both piled on the few things onto your plates, poking at it with your forks.
“Do you wanna get a pizza after this?” you whispered.
“Definitely,” he replied, pushing around an unrecognizable sludge with his utensil.
“So, how long did you two say you’ve been together?” You both looked up, only to be met with the hostess’ stare. You had never mentioned how long you’d been ‘together’. Her smile was polite but her stare was piercing, as if she knew something she was not supposed to.
“About three years,” you replied, looking to him for back up.
“We got married a couple months in,” he added, grinning at you. Again, he had that look - like he wasn’t just pretending to be in love with you.
“We were in this restaurant - this little place we go to all the time,” he kept talking, “and I just told her I thought she was beautiful, that I wanted to be with her for the rest of my life.”
“Really? I have to say,” she began, sipping from her glass,” for a young couple who got together so quickly, you two don’t seem very affectionate towards each other.”
Shit. Shit, shit, shit.
You shot Logan a panicked look, but he appeared unbothered.
“Ah,” he clicked his tongue,” it’s this rule she’s got about PDA. I’d be all over her if I could.”
You hated the way your face became hot. You couldn’t tell if he was leaning into it to be convincing or flirting just to make you flustered. You heard a muffled snicker from somewhere across the table and your eyes shifted to the source - it was the woman from earlier, the one who’d thought you and Logan were getting busy in the bathroom.
“Can I at least get a kiss, babe?” Logan cooed, a smug look on his face.
“What are you doing?” you whispered, eyes wide.
“Being a husband,” he replied in a hush voice.
It all happened within seconds. His hands cupped your face, warm and soft, and he leaned in to plant a kiss right on your lips. It was gentle and you melted into his touch, kissing him back. When he pulled away, you were still stunned, your lips parted in surprise.
Logan kissed you.
His lips tasted like the remnants of cigar smoke. His touch was nearly intoxicating, like you were drunk off just the way he held you. You inhaled sharply and finally turned your face out of his grip, eyes glued to the table cloth. You had almost forgotten where you were - feeling like the room was spinning - and you let out a nervous laugh.
The topic of discussion moved on quickly and it seemed like any suspicion the hostess had about either of you had dissipated. You and Logan decided to say your goodbyes immediately after dinner, making some excuse about having to wake up early the next morning. When you stepped out and he shut the door behind him, you couldn’t hold your tongue any longer.
“What the hell was that?” you spat, eyebrows knitted.
“What was what?”
He was completely nonchalant as he continued to walk next to you towards his truck.
“You kissed me.”
“I did.”
“You didn’t have to.”
He stopped with you at the passenger side of the truck, standing in front of the door so you couldn’t get in.
“What if I wanted to?”
You swallowed hard. It was dead silent outside, save for the chirping of crickets.
“What?”
“I wanted to,” he admitted, chewing his bottom lip, “I wanted to kiss you.”
You didn't know what to say. He hated you, didn’t he?
“Logan, I - “
“You can’t tell me you didn’t feel anything in there, pretending to be together.”
His voice almost sounded strained, like he was pleading.
“You don’t even like me, you hate me,” you deflected, but he shook his head.
“That’s not true. I never hated you. I figured you’d hate me after I acted like an asshole when we met, so I went with it. I don’t hate you. I think you’re funny, I think you’re pretty - I just never really knew how to tell you that.”
When you only stared in response, he moved aside and opened your door with a defeated sigh. You were still speechless but you hesitantly slid into the seat anyway, letting him close the door. When he got into the driver's side and started the ignition, you couldn’t stop looking over at him.
“So, you like me,” you finally said aloud.
He kept his eyes glued to the road when he responded in a low voice, “why do you think I bother you so much?”
“You pick on me because you like me? Like a little kid?” you couldn’t help the amusement in your voice as your confused expression turned to a smile.
You saw him bite back a smile that mirrored yours, shaking his head.
“I guess you could say that.”
“Well, you’re not too bad, you know, and I guess you’re kind of handsome.”
“Oh, really?”
“Mhm, but don’t make me take it back.”
The rest of the short ride home was spent in comfortable silence, both of you seemingly trying to figure out where you’d go from there. When Logan parked his truck and got out, he came around your side to open your door. You hopped out and he shut the door for you, but grabbed your hand before you started to walk away.
“Hey, c’mere for a second.”
You let him pull you a little closer, intertwining both your hands. The evening air was chilly and you could see his breath in the air when he spoke.
“Can I kiss you, for real this time?”
You could feel your heart beating fast and you nodded eagerly. The second you did, his lips were already on yours. His hands let go of yours to settle in your hair, threading the strands between his fingers. His touch felt warm in comparison to the cold air and you leaned further into him with your hands gripping his jacket to pull him close. When he pulled away, he rested his hands on your waist and planted another kiss on your forehead.
“Maybe we could, uh, try again,” he cleared his throat, running his hands up and down your sides, “be nice to each other this time.”
Truthfully, you couldn’t hate Logan, even though you tried.
You couldn’t hate his perfect hair.
You couldn’t hate his sweet voice.
You couldn’t hate his kind smile.
You couldn’t hate the way he dressed.
You just couldn’t hate Logan Howlett.
So, you kissed him again, smiling against his lips and letting him hold you as close as possible, almost lifting you off the ground with his arms around you.
“We should probably go inside, huh?” you mumbled when you leaned back, lightly scratching the mutton chops on the side of his face in an affectionate manner. Those were another thing you’d pretended to hate - probably because you were embarrassed to admit you thought he pulled them off well.
“As you wish, Mrs. Smith.”
He held his hand out for you to take and you did, eyeing the ring on your finger.
“You know,” you held up your hand to show him the jewelry, “I think i’ll keep this.”
He grinned, bringing your knuckles to his lips and leaving a chaste kiss, “I think i'll keep mine, too.”
You were both still holding hands when you went inside, blushing like two little kids. You were so engrossed in one another that you didn’t notice Jean and Ororo in the hallway ahead of you as he leaned down to kiss you again. Now that he knew he could actually do it, he couldn’t help himself.
“I’ll take it your night went well,” Ororo giggled, Jean doing the same. You jumped a little in surprise, covering your pink face in mild embarrassment.
“What changed? I thought you hated each other,” the latter of the two asked.
“Eh, he’s not so bad,” you teased, shrugging your shoulders.
‘’Turns out, we make a pretty good fake husband and wife,” he explained, “I guess we got a little too carried away with it.”
As the two of you walked hand in hand further down the hall, Ororo elbowed Jean lightly, leaning over to whisper behind her hand.
“You owe me twenty bucks.”

It was 9 PM, And Jungkook had shown up at my door earlier, carrying my favorite food, with a grin on his face. now i was wrapped securely in his arms.
My legs were draped over his lap, and my head rested against his chest, As his hands moved lazily through my hair, his fingertips tracing soft patterns on my scalp. His voice, low, hummed a tune I didn't recognize but found comfort in.
"Kook?" I murmured, my voice muffled against his chest.
"Hmm?" His response was gentle, paired with the subtle vibration of his voice as he kept humming.
I lifted my head, finally meeting his gaze. His dark eyes softened as he looked down at me, his lips curving into a slight smile as his hand continued its soothing motion through my hair.
"Are you hungry?" I asked, my voice teasingly light. "...For dessert?"
The corner of his mouth twitched upward. "You want ice cream?" he guessed, amusement flickering in his tone.
I nodded quickly, the excitement bubbling up and escaping in the form of a wide grin. He chuckled softly at my enthusiasm. "Alright," he said with a soft laugh, his hand leaving my hair briefly to tap my nose.
"So, do you wanna let go of me so we can get some?" His voice was playful, his smile knowing.
I raised an eyebrow, feigning sarcasm. "Let me enjoy this moment, Jungkook," I replied dramatically. "When you're not being a moody girl on her period for once."
His laugh was warm, filling the space between us as he pulled me closer, his arms tightening around me. "A moody girl, huh?" he teased, his lips brushing the top of my head as he spoke.
I groaned loudly, burying my face back into his chest. "Kookkkk!!" I squealed, my voice muffled by his hoodie.
That's when it started. His hands, once gentle and soft, suddenly moved to tickle my sides. My laughter erupted uncontrollably, as I wriggled in his grip, trying and failing to escape.
"Stop! Jungkook!" I cried between gasps of laughter, my hands slapping against his biceps in a weak attempt at resistance.
But he only laughed harder, his grip firm as he leaned over me, effectively pinning me beneath him. and soon I was sprawled out on the bed, breathless and flushed.
He paused then, hovering over me with a grin, his dark hair falling into his eyes. For a moment, everything stopped. His laughter faded. His gaze locked with mine.
It was the way his eyes softened as they roamed over my face, the way his breath hitched ever so slightly.
He leaned in just a fraction closer, his lips parting as if he wanted to say something.
But then, as quickly as the moment came, it was gone.
"Uh, okay," he blurted, his voice an octave higher than usual as he broke the silence. "Let's go?"
The sudden awkwardness was almost comical. He scrambled off me, sitting up on the bed and rubbing the back of his neck.
I stayed where I was, still lying on my back, staring up at the ceiling in stunned silence. My heartbeat thundered in my chest, and I pressed a hand against it as if that would calm the storm raging inside me.
Jungkook stood then, adjusting his hoodie as he avoided my gaze. "So... you wanna get up and wear a bra so we can go out, hun?"
The teasing lilt in his voice snapped me out of my daze.
"Jeon Jungkook!" I gasped, sitting up and grabbing the nearest pillow. I hurled it at him with all the strength I could muster, but he dodged it effortlessly, his laughter filling the room once again.
"Shut up!" I yelled, my face heating as I scrambled to sit properly on the bed.
his laughter echoing down the hallway as he left the room.
Once he was gone, the silence returned, and I was left alone with my thoughts. My hand instinctively moved to my chest, pressing against the spot where my heart still raced.
"Shit," I muttered under my breath, closing my eyes.
I shook my head, trying to push the thoughts away as I climbed out of bed, grabbing a hoodie to throw over my shirt. The last thing I needed was to overthink this.
Jungkook was just... Jungkook.
Right?
I sighed, making my way out of the room to find him. He was waiting for me at the door, his hands stuffed into the pockets of his jeans, that signature grin plastered across his face.
"Ready?" he asked, his tone light and teasing as always.
I nodded, slipping into my shoes as he held the door open for me.
----
we climbed into his car. The quiet hum of the engine filled the silence as he pulled out of the driveway, his hands gripping the steering wheel with casual ease.
"You're not gonna make me pick the playlist, are you?" I asked, settling into my seat and glancing at him.
"Nah, I've got us covered," he said, already queuing up a playlist on his phone. Moments later, our favorite song filled the car, and he started tapping the steering wheel to the beat.
Kiss me Kiss me with your eyes closed Whisper that your heart shows
I couldn't help but laugh as he began singing. well, shouting? the lyrics dramatically.
Hold me, I'm your bunny
Tell me I'm not funny
"Are you auditioning for something, Jungkook?" I teased, watching as he turned to give me an exaggerated wink before returning his focus to the road.
"Maybe. Think I've got a chance?" he asked, his tone light but his grin mischievous.
"Only if they're looking for someone to scare the judges away," I quipped.
He gasped in mock offense, placing a hand over his heart. "Wow. Betrayed by my own princess passenger."
---
We ordered our ice cream quickly, opting to eat in the car rather than sitting outside in the chilly night air.
The car was warm and cozy as we sat, our cones in hand. Jungkook took an exaggerated lick of his ice cream, his eyes narrowing at me like he was waiting for me to mess up somehow.
"What?" I asked, taking a cautious bite of my own.
"You've got..." He gestured vaguely to my face, his expression far too smug for my liking.
"Where?" I asked, swiping at my cheek.
"Nope, not there."
I frowned, trying again, but his grin only widened.
"Here, let me help," he said, leaning across the console. Before I could protest, he swiped his thumb across my cheek, his touch light and fleeting. Then, with a grin, he licked the ice cream off his thumb.
"Jungkook!" I gasped, shoving him lightly as heat rushed to my face.
"What? I was just helping!" he said, his voice dripping with fake innocence.
I tried to glare at him, but the laughter bubbling out of me betrayed my attempt. "You're impossible."
"And you're pretty," he shot back, his tone teasing but his eyes soft.
At some point, Jungkook leaned back in his seat, turning to look at me with an unreadable expression.
"What?" I asked, suddenly self-conscious under his gaze.
"Nothing," he said, shaking his head with a small smile. "Just... i like the ice cream"
"Yeah," I said softly, meeting his gaze. "Me too."
The ride back was quieter. His hand rested casually on the gear shift, and every now and then, his fingers would brush against mine. Neither of us moved away.
-----
As I made my way to the student council meeting, I caught sight of him. Jeon Jungkook.
He was leaning casually against the lockers, surrounded by his usual group of guys. His hair was a mess in that perfect, lazy way, and he had that smirk on his face. the one that made the girls around him giggle like he was some kind of god.
I kept walking, my head held high, trying not to engage. We had an unspoken agreement, after all: no interaction in public. Jungkook made it crystal clear he didn't want to ruin his reputation by being seen talking to me. Not that I cared.
The less drama in my life, the better.
Still, I couldn't help but hate the way he gave me mixed signals when we were alone, only to act like a complete stranger in public.
"You good, Y/N?" one of the student council members, Hana, asked as she passed by me.
I nodded quickly, adjusting my glasses as I brushed past her. "Yeah, just heading to the meeting."
"Cool, see you there!"
As she disappeared into the crowd, my phone buzzed in my pocket. Pulling it out, I saw Jakay's name pop up on my screen.
Jakay: Yo nerd, wanna go out later?
I rolled my eyes, a small smile tugging at the corner of my lips.
You: I have a meeting with the student council.
Jakay: Picking them over me, huh?
You: Wouldn't even pick you in a room full of your clones.
There was a pause before his reply came through.
Jakay: Ouch :(
Jakay: Can we at least just FT?
You: You tryna get in my pants or something?
Jakay: Want me to?
I stopped in the middle of the hallway, blinking at my screen. For someone who was usually all jokes, he had a way of toeing the line between playful and annoying.
You: Ew. I'm blocking you.
Jakay: LMFAOOO
Smirking to myself, I quickly blocked his number and tucked my phone back into my pocket.
A few seconds later, another buzz.
Jakay: Wait.
Jakay: You actually blocked me?!!
Not Delivered
Jakay: 💔💔
I stifled a laugh, shaking my head as I made my way to the student council room.
-----
The notifications on my phone lit up as I opened the chat.
Jakay: Can I now finally please come over? Jakay: Pretty please?
Rolling my eyes, I typed back.
Me: Better show up with ice cream.
The reply was immediate.
Jakay: Mint?
Me: You know it. Me: You can go to my place first. You have the key. Clean my table, pleaseee.
Jakay: Alrightt.
Satisfied, I locked my phone and stuffed it back into my pocket. The corner of my lips twitched upward, but before I could dwell on the ridiculousness of my on-and-off dynamic with Jungkook, Namjoon's familiar voice broke through my thoughts.
"Heyyyy," he said, slinging his arm casually over my shoulder as he caught up to me.
"What's up, Joon?" I asked, raising an eyebrow at his sudden appearance.
"Let me walk you home, hm?" he offered with a grin.
I chuckled, shaking my head but nodding in agreement. "Alright, alright."
As we walked along the street, a nearby cafe caught my attention.
"Wait," I said, pausing mid-step. "I'll just grab some coffee." I pointed toward the cozy cafe.
Namjoon followed me inside as I walked straight to the counter.
"brewed coffee and an iced americano, all grande" I told the cashier confidently.
Namjoon blinked in surprise. "Oh, I don't want any—"
"Not for you, bro," I interrupted, laughing as I turned to smirk at him.
He sighed dramatically. "Dang. Cold-hearted."
I rolled my eyes playfully and paid for the drinks. While we waited, Namjoon shifted my bag and books from one hand to the other, balancing the weight. I finally collected the drinks, gripping both cups carefully, while Namjoon resumed his self-proclaimed role as my porter.
"Walked you home, carried your stuff, and still didn't get anything," he muttered under his breath, though his playful tone made me laugh.
We arrived outside my apartment building, and I juggled the drinks to pull out my keys. Unlocking the door, I held it open for Namjoon to step inside.
"Just put my bag on the coffee table, thanks," I said, heading toward the kitchen to set the drinks down.
"Sure thing," Namjoon replied, stepping further into the apartment.
As I turned back around, my breath caught in my throat. Standing in the hallway was Jungkook. Shirtless. A towel hung low on his hips, and droplets of water slid down his chest, his damp hair clinging to his forehead. He looked up, catching my stare, and the corner of his mouth curved into a mischievous grin.
"Done staring?" he teased, his voice dripping with amusement.
I snapped out of it, my cheeks heating. "Oh, shut up, Jungkook," I shot back, my tone sharper than I intended.
Jungkook chuckled, his eyes twinkling as he reached up to rake a hand through his wet hair. The way he was clearly enjoying my flustered reaction only made me more annoyed—or was it embarrassed?
Behind me, Namjoon cleared his throat loudly.
"Ooookayy... so, I'm..." He glanced between Jungkook and me, his brows furrowed in a mix of confusion and realization. "Going?" he said, dragging the word out awkwardly.
Before I could even think of a response, Namjoon awkwardly laughed and moved toward the door.
"Thanks for walking me home!" I called after him, trying to smooth over the awkwardness as I followed him to the door.
"Yeah, uh, no problem. See you around!" Namjoon waved briefly before disappearing into the hallway.
I shut the door and turned to face Jungkook, who was now leaning casually against the wall with his arms crossed, his expression smug.
"Friends, huh?" he said, his tone teasing but with an edge of something deeper
I crossed my arms, tilting my head with a smirk. "Why? Jealous?" I teased, raising an eyebrow at Jungkook.
His confidence faltered for a split second, and his face flushed a telltale shade of pink. "Why would I be?" he shot back, but the defensive edge in his tone only made me grin wider.
I took a step forward, then another, closing the space between us until we were just inches apart. His eyes widened slightly, flicking between mine, his breath hitching as if he wasn't sure what was coming next.
"So close, Jungkook," I murmured, just loud enough for him to hear, leaning in as if to kiss him but stopping short. His Adam's apple bobbed as he swallowed hard, his body stiff as a board.
"There's an iced americano for you," I whispered against his ear, my voice soft and teasing.
I heard his sharp intake of breath as I pulled back, grinning at his completely stunned expression. His face was a perfect mix of confusion and embarrassment, his lips slightly parted as if he were about to say something but couldn't find the words.
Turning on my heel, I burst out laughing, leaving him standing there, flustered and dumbfounded.
"Also, go wear some clothes!" I yelled over my shoulder as I walked to the counter.
Grabbing my iced white mocha, I took a long sip, savoring the sweetness while sneaking a glance at Jungkook from the corner of my eye.
He was still frozen in place, his hand running through his wet hair as he muttered something under his breath. Then, finally, he stormed off toward the bedroom, grumbling loud enough for me to hear.
"Unbelievable," he huffed, though the faint smile tugging at his lips didn't go unnoticed.
---
Jungkook disappeared into my room, grumbling something under his breath. I chuckled to myself as I heard him rifling through drawers. He always left a stash of clothes here, sweats, shirts, and sometimes even socks, as if this was his second home. I didn't mind. It just meant I got to see him looking effortlessly cozy, even when I wasn't ready for the effect it had on me.
A few minutes later, he emerged, now dressed in gray sweats and a loose black t-shirt. His damp hair still clung to his forehead in soft waves, and he ran a hand through it as he joined me in the kitchen. Without a word, he plopped onto the stool beside me, his elbow propped on the counter as he reached for my brewed coffee
"Touch it and you're dead," I warned, pulling the drink just out of his reach.
He smirked but pulled back, raising his hands in mock surrender.
"So," he said, leaning against the counter. "How was your student council meeting?"
I groaned at the question, resting my head on my hand. "The same. Boring and stressful. We have so many projects to focus on for the school. I don't know if I can even do it anymore."
I punctuated my complaint with a loud slurp of my iced white mocha.
Jungkook frowned, his eyes narrowing slightly. "You need sleep. And you're definitely not getting any if you keep drinking that," he pointed out, gesturing to the drink I'd been clinging to for dear life.
I tilted my head and raised an eyebrow, meeting his gaze. "Would you rather this be vodka or... coffee?"
He hesitated for a moment before muttering, "Coffee..."
"Good choice," I teased, taking another sip.
"But seriously," I added, "I've got a presentation and essays due, like, all at once. My calendar's booked solid this month." I let out a frustrated sigh, rubbing my temples. "Might have to block you again to stop you from bothering me."
Jungkook's lips twitched in amusement, but he rolled his eyes. "You know you could just mute me, right? That's a thing."
I shook my head, leaning closer to him with a grin. "That would be too boring. I like being spammed with notifications of a play-fuckboy begging me to unblock him."
As if to punctuate my point, I reached out and booped his nose lightly with my finger.
He scrunched his nose, laughing softly. "You're so annoying, you know that?"
"That's rich, coming from you," I shot back.
Jungkook paused for a moment, his expression shifting slightly. "Hey, Y/N?"
"Hmm?" I hummed, turning to look at him.
"Nothing," he said quickly, glancing away as if he'd thought better of whatever he wanted to say.
I tilted my head, frowning slightly. "What's with you? Are you sick or something?"
"No," he muttered, waving off my question.
"Argh!" I groaned, pushing myself up from the stool dramatically. "I don't wanna be here anymore."
But as I stood, the world tilted abruptly. My legs wobbled, and I felt the ground rush up toward me.
"Y/N!" Jungkook was at my side in an instant, his arms steadying me before I could hit the floor.
"Fuck, are you okay?" he asked, his voice laced with worry as he gripped my shoulders.
"I'm fine," I mumbled, trying to shrug him off. "Just lost my balance."
"You're not fine," he snapped, his jaw tightening.
"I just need to lie down for a bit—"
"Fuck no," he muttered, cutting me off. Before I could protest, he scooped me up in one swift motion, holding me in his arms like I weighed nothing.
"Jungkook, put me down!" I squealed, flailing in his grip, but he only tightened his hold.
"Nope," he said firmly, carrying me toward the door. "You're going to the doctor."
"You're overreacting!" I whined, kicking my legs weakly.
"And you're underreacting!" he shot back, his voice a mixture of frustration and concern.
The door swung open, and Jungkook carried me into the hallway. I buried my face in his chest, mortified as neighbors peeked out of their doors to see what the commotion was.
"Put me down! People are staring!" I hissed, trying to squirm out of his arms.
"Let them stare," he said, completely unfazed as he made his way to the elevator.
By the time we reached his car, I had resigned myself to my fate, crossing my arms with a pout as he settled me into the passenger seat.
"You're ridiculous," I muttered as he buckled me in.
"Yeah? And you're stubborn," he shot back, closing the door and jogging around to the driver's side.
The drive to the clinic was filled with silence. Jungkook's grip on the steering wheel was tight, his jaw set in a way that he was still annoyed or worried.
"You don't have to do this, you know," I said, breaking the silence.
He glanced at me briefly before turning his eyes back to the road. "Someone has to."
The simple statement sent a strange warmth through my chest, and I found myself biting back a smile.
--
At the clinic, Jungkook still refused to let me walk, carrying me inside despite my protests. The doctor confirmed it was nothing serious just exhaustion, stress and low blood sugar.
"You need to take care of yourself," he scolded as we left the clinic. "Eat something, sleep more, and stop living on caffeine and stress."
"Okay, dad," I teased, earning a glare.
--
Back at the apartment, Jungkook carried me inside again, this time depositing me gently on the couch.
"Stay," he ordered, pointing at me like I was a misbehaving puppy.
"I'm not a dog," I muttered, but I stayed put, too tired to argue.
He disappeared into the kitchen and returned a few minutes later with a plate of "real food" and a glass of orange juice, not just your usual coke and apple.
"Eat," he said, setting it in front of me.
I raised an eyebrow but obeyed, taking a bite.
Satisfied, he flopped onto the other end of the couch, watching me closely.
"Feel better?" he asked after a while.
"Yeah," I admitted, avoiding his gaze.
"Good girl."
Jungkook leaned back in his chair, running a hand through his hair. "I'll be busy tomorrow," he said casually.
My brows furrowed. "Why? Gonna be busy fucking other girls?" I teased, my voice dripping with bitterness (jealousy) that I didn't even try to hide.
He straightened, tilting his head as he looked at me. "You really think that's all I do?"
"You seem to," I replied, averting my eyes and shrugging like it didn't bother me.
"For your information," he said, leaning forward slightly, "I haven't fucked anyone in four months."
"Wow, I'll give you a reward for that," I shot back sarcastically, though my heart was unexpectedly beating a little faster.
"Come on, Y/N," he sighed.
I looked up, surprised to see him sliding off his chair and kneeling on the floor in front of me. His gaze was soft but insistent, his presence filling the space between us.
"I'll be in Busan tomorrow," he said, his voice quieter now. "It's my mom's birthday."
"Oh," I said simply, unsure where this was going.
"Do you want to come?" he asked.
"Why?" I blurted out, narrowing my eyes at him.
He hesitated for a moment before answering, his voice steady but slightly unsure. "I wanna... introduce you to her."
My chest tightened at his words, and for a moment, I was completely thrown off. He wanted me to meet his mom? This wasn't something we did. This wasn't how we were supposed to be.
"Okay," I heard myself say before I could think twice.
Jungkook blinked, clearly surprised. "But you said you're fully booked this month," he reminded me.
"I'll make time and clear it up for you," I said, the words leaving my mouth without a single hesitation.
My own reply startled me. Why was I saying this? Why was I rearranging my schedule for him, of all people? He was just a... friend. Right?
"Alright," he said after a moment, a smile spreading across his face. "Pack up early."
Before I could respond, he suddenly stood and scooped me up in his arms again.
"What the fuck, Jeon Jungkook," I grumbled, glaring at him, though the warmth of his arms made it impossible to push him away.
"Relax," he said, laughing softly as he carried me to my room. He pushed the door open with his foot and stepped inside.
With surprising gentleness, he laid me down on the bed and tucked the blanket around me, his hands lingering for a second longer than necessary.
"I'll be here in a sec," he said, his voice softer now. "I'm just gonna clean up the mess in our kitchen."
He stood, giving me one last glance before heading out of the room, shutting the door quietly behind him.
I stared at the ceiling, my heart thudding in my chest as the word "our" echoed in my mind.
Our kitchen.
The casual way he said it sent my stomach into a loop. It shouldn't have meant anything. It was probably just a slip of the tongue. But still, the idea of something shared between us, of an "our" instead of a "yours" or "mine," made my thoughts spiral.
This wasn't normal. None of this was. The teasing, the way he made himself so comfortable in my space, the way I let him take care of me even when I insisted I didn't need it. it all blurred the line of what we were supposed to be.
Why did I agree to go to Busan with him? Why was I clearing my schedule for him?
"Get a grip, Y/N," I muttered to myself, pressing my palms against my heated cheeks.
I groaned and rolled over, pulling the blanket over my head. This was going to be a long night.
True to his word, Jungkook returned a little while later. I heard the faint creak of the door as he pushed it open, followed by the soft sound of his footsteps approaching the bed.
"Y/N," he whispered, his voice soft and tentative.
I peeked out from under the blanket, squinting at him in the dim light. His hair was now dry, now curling slightly at the edges, and the loose shirt he wore made him look almost boyish.
"The kitchen's clean," he said, his hands stuffed into the pockets of his sweats.
"Good," I muttered, my voice muffled by the pillow.
He chuckled, the sound warm and low, as he sat down on the edge of the bed. "You're impossible, you know that?"
"And you're a pain in the ass," I shot back, though there was no real bite in my tone.
For a moment, we just looked at each other, the quiet settling around us. His presence was grounding, even if I hated admitting it.
"Want me to go home, or...?" he asked, his voice trailing off as if unsure how to finish the sentence.
I blinked at him, surprised by the question. Did I want him to leave?
"No," I said softly.
His brows lifted slightly, and he tilted his head. "You sure? I can just crash on the couch."
"Sleep here," I said quickly, tugging at his arm. "On the bed with me."
He raised an eyebrow, clearly amused. "Still a brat, huh?"
I stuck my tongue out at him. "Your point?"
He chuckled softly, the sound almost affectionate, as he gave in. "Alright, alright. Scoot over."
I shuffled to the side of the bed, watching as he slid in beside me. The mattress dipped slightly under his weight, and the sudden closeness of him made my heart race.
Jungkook turned to face me, propping his head up on one hand. His other hand reached out, brushing a stray strand of hair from my face.
"You're comfortable with this?" he asked, his voice low and almost hesitant.
I nodded, not trusting my voice to sound steady.
"Alright," he said again, his lips quirking up in a small smile as he laid back, pulling me against him.
I froze for a moment as his arms wrapped around me, but the warmth of his embrace melted my hesitation. His hand found its way into my hair, his fingers threading through the strands in a soothing rhythm.
"Better?" he asked softly, his breath warm against my temple.
"Yeah," I whispered, my voice barely audible.
For a while, neither of us spoke. The gentle rise and fall of his chest beneath my cheek, the quiet sound of his breathing, and the soft touch of his hand in my hair lulled me into a state of calm I hadn't felt in days.
"You're dangerous," I mumbled sleepily.
"Hmm?" he hummed, his fingers pausing for a moment before continuing their gentle movements.
"You make me feel..." my words slurred as i began to fall asleep.
----
The next morning, sunlight streamed through the blinds. I was already up, moving quietly as I packed for the three-day trip to Busan. I still didn't fully understand why I'd agreed to go or how I had so effortlessly rearranged my schedule for him. But as I folded clothes into the suitcase, a small part of me felt... excited.
Behind me, the sound of shifting blankets broke the quiet. I glanced over to see Jungkook stirring, his eyes barely open as he propped himself up on one elbow.
He blinked a few times before his gaze landed on me. "You're pretty," he said, his morning voice raspy and warm, catching me completely off guard.
My face heated instantly, and I fumbled with a bottle of skincare I'd just picked up. "Morning," I muttered, turning to face him briefly.
"You should wear a shirt and get ready," I said quickly, trying to redirect the attention away from my flushed cheeks. My eyes betrayed me for a split second, darting to his biceps. a habit I'd tried and failed to curb. He always had this infuriating tendency to sleep shirtless, even when he wasn't alone.
He smirked, clearly noticing, but thankfully didn't say anything.
After we both finished getting ready, we grabbed our bags and headed out. His car was waiting for us in the lot, and I climbed into the passenger seat as Jungkook loaded the luggage into the trunk.
As he slid into the driver's seat and started the engine, he glanced at me. "What'd you tell them?" he asked, his tone casual.
I grinned, leaning back in my seat. "Told them I was sick. Showed them the doctor's letter."
He chuckled at that, his laugh soft and low.
"You're something else, hun," he said, shaking his head with an amused smile.
We drove in comfortable silence for a while, the hum of the engine and the faint sound of the radio filling the car. I found myself nervously picking at the hem of my shirt, my thoughts drifting to what lay ahead.
"So... is your mom..." I hesitated, glancing at him.
He raised an eyebrow, sparing me a curious look. "What?"
"Is she scary?" I asked, my voice quieter than I intended.
"Why? You scared?" he teased, a smirk tugging at the corners of his lips.
"Who wouldn't be?" I exclaimed, turning to face him fully. "It's my first time meeting her. First impressions last, you know?"
I slumped into my seat, crossing my arms as anxiety began to creep in.
Jungkook let out a soft laugh, his eyes crinkling as he glanced at me. "My first impression of you was a scary, strict vice president," he teased.
"Strict?!" I exclaimed, reaching out to playfully slap his biceps.
"Very strict," he said, laughing again. "You wouldn't even let me cut in line for coffee at the canteen that one time."
"You were trying to skip!" I protested, though I couldn't help but laugh along with him.
"And you called me out in front of everyone."
"Because you deserved it!"
Jungkook shook his head, a grin still plastered on his face. "And now look at us. Guess first impressions aren't everything after all."
His words hung in the air for a moment.
Us
I looked out the window, my lips curving into a small smile.
"Guess not," I murmured.
I started to relax a little. Jungkook's ease behind the wheel and the familiar way he teased me made it harder to stay nervous.
"Do you think she'll like me?" I asked suddenly, my voice quieter this time.
Jungkook glanced at me, his expression gentler now. "Of course she will."
"You sound so sure," I said, biting my lip.
"Because I know her," he replied, his tone steady. "And I know you. You're... you're great, Y/N. She'll see that."
I blinked at him, caught off guard by his sincerity.
After what felt like an eternity of driving, we finally arrived in Busan. I stepped out of the car, feeling a mixture of excitement and nerves swirling in my stomach. I adjusted my shirt, suddenly hyperaware of every wrinkle and stray strand of hair.
Jungkook moved to the trunk, effortlessly grabbing our bags. His casual state only made me feel more out of place, my shyness creeping in.
"Mom! We're here!" Jungkook called out as we approached the house, his voice carrying warmth and familiarity as he rang the doorbell.
A moment later, the door swung open to reveal his mom. Her face lit up the second she saw him, and she pulled him into a tight hug.
"Jungkook, my son!" she exclaimed, ruffling his hair as he grumbled in protest, though his smile betrayed how much he didn't mind.
Then her attention turned to me. Her gaze softened, her kind eyes taking me in as she stepped forward.
"Hello, dear," she said, her tone gentle as she opened her arms and pulled me into a brief but warm hug.
"Hi, ma'am," I replied, smiling shyly as I straightened up.
"Call me Mom, dear," she said, patting my shoulder affectionately, her smile widening as if I'd already won her over.
The unexpected kindness made me relax a little. "Okay, Mom," I said softly, smiling back.
"Perfect," she said, her eyes twinkling. "Come in, come in. Make yourselves at home."
Jungkook led the way as we stepped inside, the warmth of the house enveloping us. It was cozy, with soft lighting and family photos lining the walls. The faint scent of freshly baked bread wafted through the air, making my nerves ease just a bit more.
Jungkook set the bags down by the stairs and glanced back at me, offering a reassuring smile. "See? Nothing to be scared of."
His mom chuckled, catching his words. "What's this? Were you nervous to meet me?" she teased, her tone lighthearted as she glanced at me.
I laughed awkwardly, scratching the back of my neck. "Maybe a little. First impressions and all..."
"Well, let me tell you," she said, reaching out to squeeze my hand gently, "you're doing just fine."
Jungkook smirked at me, clearly enjoying my flustered state, and I shot him a subtle glare.
"Jungkook, why don't you bring your stuff upstairs while I finish up lunch?" his mom suggested, already heading toward the kitchen.
"Will do," he said, grabbing my hand and tugging me toward the stairs before I could protest.
Jungkook led me through the house, pointing out random things like the cozy balcony view of the ocean. Then he stopped outside a door and pushed it open, revealing what I assume was his old bedroom.
"This is where I used to sneak out from," he said with a mischievous grin, pointing to the balcony door on the far side of the room.
"Why am I not surprised?" I teased, crossing my arms as I leaned against the doorway.
"You shouldn't be," he said, laughing softly as he walked into the room.
The space was simple but cozy, with warm wooden furniture, a few posters still tacked to the walls, and a bed that took up most of the space.
"Guess this is where we'll be staying," he said casually, tossing his duffel bag onto the bed.
"We?" I echoed, my eyebrows shooting up.
He turned to look at me, clearly amused by my surprise. "What? You scared to share a room with me?"
I rolled my eyes, though I could feel heat creeping up my neck. "Just don't hog the bed," I muttered, stepping into the room and setting my bag down.
Jungkook chuckled, leaning against the wall with his hands stuffed into his pockets. "See? Not so bad, right?"
"Not bad at all," I admitted, glancing around the room before my eyes landed on the balcony door again.
The sound of his voice brought my attention back to him. "She likes you," he said suddenly, his tone softer now.
I blinked, caught off guard by the statement. "How can you tell?"
"Because I know her," he said simply, his gaze meeting mine. "She wouldn't be this warm if she didn't."
A warmth spread through my chest at his words, and I found myself smiling despite the lingering nerves.
"Come on," he said, pushing off the wall. "Let's go help before she thinks I'm useless again."
Back in the kitchen, his mom was setting the table, the smell of homemade food filling the air.
"Perfect timing! Jungkook, you can put these on the table," she said, handing him a tray of side dishes.
"And Y/N, dear, could you help me with the soup?"
"Of course," I said, moving to the stove to carry the pot she pointed to.
As we worked together, Jungkook chimed in with little jokes and playful comments, earning a mix of laughs and exasperated eye rolls from his mom.
"Still the same troublemaker," she said, shaking her head fondly.
"Some things never change," I teased, glancing at Jungkook, who grinned shamelessly.
Once everything was ready, we all sat down to eat. The conversation flowed easily, filled with laughter and stories of Jungkook's childhood. His mom had an endless supply of embarrassing anecdotes, and I couldn't stop laughing at the way Jungkook tried to defend himself, his ears turning pink as she recounted his antics.
"Mom, stop," he groaned, burying his face in his hands after the third story about him crying over a lost toy at the beach.
"Oh, don't be dramatic," she said, waving him off. "Y/N should know what she's getting into if she's spending time with you."
I couldn't help but laugh, feeling more comfortable with each passing minute.
After lunch, Jungkook helped clean up while his mom and I chatted at the table. She asked me about school, my family, and my interests, her questions thoughtful but never intrusive.
By the time Jungkook joined us again, I felt like I'd known her for years.
"Alright, Mom," he said, stretching as he stood behind her chair. "I'm stealing Y/N for the rest of the day."
"Stealing her? She's right here!" she teased, turning to pat his hand.
He grinned. "We're gonna go check out the beach."
His mom smiled knowingly. "Go ahead. But don't let her get cold, Jungkook."
"Yes, ma'am," he said with a playful salute, earning a laugh from both of us.
As we grabbed our jackets and headed out the door, I glanced back at his mom, who waved at us with a warm smile. For the first time that day, I felt a little less nervous.
-----
We stood at the edge of the beach, the cool breeze tousling my hair as I watched the waves crash gently against the shore. The sun was beginning to set.
Jungkook was standing a little farther away, his gaze fixed on the horizon. "I used to come here whenever I felt sad," he said quietly, almost to himself. "It's really relaxing here."
I glanced at him, then back to the peaceful view. "It really is," I agreed, feeling the calmness of the place wash over me. It was the kind of tranquility I hadn't realized I needed until now.
Suddenly, Jungkook moved, taking his phone out of his pocket. "Stand there," he instructed, pointing to a spot near the water, a small smile on his face. "Let me take a picture of you."
I raised an eyebrow, glancing at the spot he pointed to. "Really?" I asked, trying to hide my smile. "You know I'm not exactly in the mood for a photo shoot."
"Just one picture," he insisted, grinning like he always did when he was being playful. "I promise it'll be a good one."
Reluctantly, I stepped into the spot he'd pointed out, the wind picking up and blowing my hair behind me. I couldn't help but smile, the feeling of the breeze and the soft sound of the waves putting me at ease.
Jungkook tapped the screen of his phone, taking the picture. "Perfect," he said, walking toward me as he looked at the photo. He glanced at me and smirked. "But, no posting this, okay? The school board might think I made an excuse to go out."
I rolled my eyes, crossing my arms. "But you are," he teased, clearly enjoying getting under my skin.
I shot him a playful glare. "Shut up," I muttered, though I couldn't help but laugh.
"You know," I began, breaking the silence, "I only stay in Seoul to get away from my parents."
Jungkook looked over at me, eyebrows raised, clearly intrigued. "Why?" he asked, his voice softer than usual.
I shifted my gaze toward the horizon, the vastness of the ocean making me feel smaller, but in a good way. "They always want me to be the first in everything," I vented, my words coming out faster than I expected. "Be like this, be like that... nothing I do is ever enough for them. It's always about achieving the next thing, being perfect. I don't know anymore," I finished, the words feeling heavier than I anticipated.
I let out a weak chuckle, trying to push the lump in my throat away. "I don't even know who I am sometimes."
Jungkook's gaze softened, and I could tell he was genuinely listening. But of course, he couldn't leave it without teasing me. "Is that why you're a nerd?" he asked with a playful tone, trying to lighten the mood.
I raised an eyebrow at him, rolling my eyes, but I played along. "Maybe," I said with a small smile, the tension in my chest easing just a little. "I was raised that way."
We both laughed, and it felt like the weight of everything had lifted, just for a moment. Maybe it was the beach, or maybe it was just being here with him,
We stayed there for a while, just sitting on the soft sand, the night sky above us twinkling with stars and for once, I felt at peace. We talked about things that felt too deep to share with anyone else
But eventually, the cool night air started to get to me, and I let out a small yawn. "We should go back. I'm sleepy," I said, stretching my arms and feeling the weight of the day catch up with me.
Jungkook nodded, standing up and offering his hand to help me up. "Alright," he replied, pulling me gently to my feet.
-----
After cleaning up from dinner and spending hours chatting with his mom, Jungkook and I finally headed back to his room.
"You can take the bed," I said, trying to sound casual as I rummaged through my bag.
"So can you," Jungkook replied, his tone laced with amusement as he tossed his hoodie onto the chair.
I glanced up at him, narrowing my eyes. "Jungkook, it's your bed."
"And it's big enough for both of us," he said with a shrug, plopping down onto the mattress like he owned the place—which, technically, he did. "Unless you're worried about me hogging it."
"You do hog the bed," I muttered, crossing my arms.
He smirked, lying back against the pillows and stretching out his arms. "Guess we'll find out, won't we?"
I huffed, but deep down, the thought of sharing the bed with him wasn't nearly as daunting as it probably should've been. With a resigned sigh, I climbed onto one side of the bed, slipping under the blanket and keeping some space between us.
For a moment, the room was quiet, save for the faint hum of the wind outside and the soft creak of the mattress as Jungkook shifted to get comfortable.
"Comfortable?" he asked after a while, his voice low and warm in the dimly lit room.
"Yeah," I murmured, my back still turned to him.
But then I felt the bed shift again as he moved closer. His arm slipped around my waist, pulling me toward him.
"Kook," I whispered, my voice catching slightly. "If your mom comes in, she might get the wrong idea."
"I don't care," he said simply, his tone steady. His arms tightened around me, and I could feel the faint smile on his lips as his chin rested lightly against the top of my head.
I giggled softly, the sound muffled against his shirt.
"You're not funny," I muttered, though I didn't even think about pulling away.
"And you're funny?" he teased, his fingers finding their way into my hair. He began threading them gently through the strands, his touch soothing and familiar.
the next day
I became aware of a gentle touch against my face, soft and featherlight. His fingers brushed a strand of hair behind my ear, his touch lingering as if he were memorizing every detail.
When I finally opened my eyes, Jungkook's face was the first thing I saw. He was propped up on one elbow, his eyes warm and filled with a quiet fondness. His lips curved into a small, tender smile as he continued to study me.
"Morning," I said, my voice groggy with sleep as I let out a yawn, stretching my arms above my head.
"Morning," he replied softly, his tone almost teasing but still gentle.
I blinked at him, my brows furrowing slightly as my brain caught up with the moment. "Why are you looking at me like that?" I asked, giving him a suspicious look.
His smile grew, but he didn't answer. Instead, his gaze stayed locked on mine, his eyes crinkling slightly at the corners.
Flustered, I reached out and lightly smacked his arm. "Stop it," I muttered, my cheeks heating as I quickly sat up.
Jungkook laughed softly, his voice deep and husky from sleep. "What? I'm just admiring the view," he teased, his grin playful but still disarming.
"i hate you" I shot back, my face burning as I swung my legs over the side of the bed and stood up.
I could feel his eyes following me as I made my way toward the bathroom, his quiet chuckle filling the room.
"Where are you running off to so fast?" he called out, his tone laced with amusement.
"To get away from you!" I shouted over my shoulder, though the smile tugging at my lips gave me away.
As soon as I closed the bathroom door behind me, I leaned against it, my hand pressed over my rapidly beating heart.
---
As we entered the dining room, my eyes were immediately drawn to someone new sitting at the table. Jungkook's brother, Ji-won, glanced up from his phone, his expression brightening when he saw us.
"Good morning," I said with a cheerful smile, adjusting my glasses as I stepped closer to the table.
Ji-won's gaze flickered between Jungkook and me, a teasing grin forming on his face. "Woah, you leave Busan for two years, and you already have a hot, smart girlfriend?"
I felt my cheeks flush at his words, but before I could respond, Jungkook waved his hand dismissively, his voice calm but firm.
"Oh no, she's just my friend. We're just very close," he said, pulling out a chair for himself and sitting down.
The words hit harder than they should have.
Just my friend.
I froze for a split second, forcing a polite smile as I took a seat at the table.
Just friends?
No way in hell "friends" did the things we did. No way they shared beds, whispered soft words at night, or looked at each other the way he looked at me this morning.
"Yeah, right," his mom chimed in, shaking her head with a knowing smile.
Before I could dwell on it further, she turned her attention to me. "Oh, Y/N dear, come here, eat up," she said warmly, handing me a plate piled high with food.
"Thank you, Mom," I said softly, trying to focus on the kindness in her voice rather than the pit forming in my stomach.
As I began eating, Jungkook's mom leaned closer, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Does Jungkook feed you nice?" she asked, her tone playful.
I laughed, deciding to play along. "He doesn't even want to go to my favorite samgyupsal place," I said, pouting dramatically for effect.
"Hey!" Jungkook cut in, clearly flustered. "I buy you ice cream all the time!"
I raised an eyebrow, smirking at his weak defense. Before I could counter, his mom interjected, her laughter filling the room.
"Well, Kook, ice cream isn't very healthy, you know," she teased, shaking her head at him.
Jungkook crossed his arms, his lips forming a pout as he leaned back in his chair. "Well, if the princess wants it, she gets it," he muttered, feigning sulkiness.
The sight made me laugh softly, my earlier doubts momentarily pushed to the back of my mind.
"That's better," his mom said with a chuckle, patting his shoulder before turning her attention back to Ji-won.
I tried to pretend it didn't hurt.
Jungkook and his mom left for the supermarket, leaving me alone at the kitchen island with Ji-won. I had my laptop open, trying to focus on typing my speech for the foundation day, though my thoughts were a mess.
"So," Ji-won began, breaking the silence. "Do you like Jungkook?"
The question made me freeze, my fingers hovering over the keys. I took a moment, trying to gather myself, then resumed typing without looking at him.
"W-we're just friends," I said, the words feeling heavy as they left my lips.
Ji-won let out a low hum, clearly unconvinced. "Really? Because I don't think friends sleep on the same bed and cuddle each other to sleep... naked."
I gasped, my head whipping toward him. "We do not sleep naked!"
He raised an eyebrow, clearly enjoying my flustered reaction. "Saw you both last night. Jungkook was... shirtless, and you—"
Before he could finish, I cut him off. "No! I was wearing a tank top, and Jungkook was... shirtless." My voice trailed off, accepting my defeat. "But Jungkook always sleeps shirtless!" I added quickly, as if it somehow defended my dignity.
"Right," Ji-won said, smirking as he leaned back in his chair. "So, if you're not his hot, smart girlfriend, then... who was he talking about?"
My body went stiff, and my eyes dropped to my laptop screen.
He has a girlfriend?
My heart sank as the thought hit me.
"I-I don't know," I mumbled, forcing a smile that felt more like a grimace as I stood, grabbing my laptop. "Excuse me."
"Hey!" Ji-won called after me, his voice filled with teasing humor. "If you don't want Jungkook, I have a friend I can introduce you to—"
Before he could finish, I hurried upstairs, my footsteps loud against the wooden stairs.
In Jungkook's room, I placed my laptop on his desk, my breathing heavy as I tried to steady myself.
"fuck," I muttered under my breath. But the words did little to stop the ache forming in my chest.
"I need air," I whispered, grabbing a few cigarettes and a lighter from my bag.
---
The beach wasn't far from the house. The moment my feet hit the sand, the cool breeze washed over me.
Lighting a cigarette, I took a long puff, letting the smoke swirl in my lungs before exhaling slowly.
Is he really that stupid?
I took another drag, the embers glowing in the fading light of the evening.
Making me feel like this... and having a girlfriend?
All this time, he didn't want me.
Why was I even feeling like this? He was right. We were just friends. Nothing more.
He's my friend, and I'm his... loser, nerd friend.
I let out a bitter laugh, shaking my head as I brought the cigarette to my lips again.
Should've known from the start. He doesn't even want to interact with me in public for the sake of his reputation.
The familiar ding of my phone pulled me from my thoughts. I glanced at the screen.
Jakay: Where are you? Jakay: Nvm. I checked your loc. Jakay: I'll go there with you.
Seen.
I put my phone in my pocket, plugging in my earbuds and pressing to play August by Taylor Swift.
"August slipped away like a bottle of wine 'Cause you were never mine..."
I sank onto the sand, pulling my knees to my chest as I stared out at the waves.
"I remember thinkin' I had you..."
Before I could take another puff of my cigarette, it was yanked from my hand.
"Y/N..."
I looked up to see Jungkook standing over me, disappointment etched across his face. He held the cigarette between his fingers, his jaw tight.
"You told me," he began, his voice low and steady. "You told me you wouldn't smoke anymore."
I turned away, hugging my knees tighter. "You smoke too," I muttered.
"Yeah, Y/N," he said, his voice softening. "But just because I do doesn't mean you should."
Before I could respond, he knelt beside me and pulled me into a hug. His arms wrapped tightly around me, his chin resting on my shoulder.
"You know I care about you, right?" he murmured, his voice breaking slightly. "Even when you're being such a fucking brat... I do. I fucking do, Y/N."
His grip on me tightened as he continued. "I can't handle seeing you do the things I do. It kills me."
I closed my eyes, his words sinking in, but the ache in my chest didn't ease.
I pulled away from his grip, standing up and brushing the sand off my clothes.
"Let's go," I said coldly, refusing to meet his eyes. "It's your mom's birthday party."
Back at the house, everyone was busy setting the table and decorating for the celebration. I immediately went to help Jungkook's mom, avoiding him entirely.
"Happy birthday, Mom," I said with a warm smile as I hugged her tightly.
"Oh, dear, come here more often, yeah?" she said, patting my back affectionately.
"I'll make sure to," I promised, returning her smile as I handed her the plates.
Dinner went by in a blur of laughter and cheer, everyone singing happy birthday as the candles on the cake flickered. But through it all, Jungkook's eyes never left mine.
"Happy birthday!" everyone cheered as his mom blew out the candles.
I clapped along with everyone else, but the weight of Jungkook's gaze made it impossible to focus on anything else. Across the table, his dark eyes locked onto mine
--
After dinner, I helped clean up the dining room, making sure to keep my distance from Jungkook. Once everything was done, I retreated upstairs to his room, collapsing onto the bed with a heavy sigh.
"Y/N?"
The door creaked open, and Jungkook stepped inside, his expression unreadable as he approached the bed.
"Can we talk?" he asked, sitting down beside me.
I didn't answer, instead sitting up and taking a deep breath.
"Why do you... why do you always make me so confused?" I finally said, my voice trembling.
"What?" he asked, his brows furrowing.
"I don't even know what I feel anymore, Jungkook," I continued, my words spilling out. "One second, you're treating me like I'm someone special to you. Then the next second, you remind me we're only friends."
"Y/N, I—"
I cut him off, my voice breaking. "I hate it, Jungkook. I fucking hate it."
Tears streamed down my face as I looked at him, my chest heaving. "You bring me here to meet your mother, and then I find out you apparently have a 'hot, smart girlfriend.'" I paused to take a shaky breath. "I hate that I'm crying in front of you right now."
Before I could pull away, he brought me into his arms. I tried to push him off, but his grip didn't falter.
"You're out there fucking other girls at school," I sobbed, weakly hitting his chest. "And I'm here, being a fool for your words and actions. I don't even know what to feel anymore."
I looked down, my voice barely above a whisper. "I think I'm in love, but I'm not, because I despise your guts. But at the same time... I love hating you because....." i sigh not wanting to drop the L bomb.
Jungkook let me rant, his arms never leaving me.
"Did you drink?" he asked softly.
I froze, looking down at my lap.
"How much?" he pressed.
"Maybe... three. Or seven," I mumbled.
He let out a deep sigh, gently putting me down on the bed.
"We'll talk when you're sober," he said, grabbing my makeup remover and carefully wiping my face.
I stared at him, speechless.
"Didn't your doctor tell you to stop drinking? Smoking? Any of that?" he muttered with a soft chuckle, his voice heavy with frustration.
He paused, his voice barely audible. "Are you trying to kill yourself?"
The words hit me like a punch to the gut, but I couldn't respond. Instead, i fell asleep.
-----
I woke up, my head spinning slightly as I blinked at the clock on the bedside table.
12:23 PM.
I shot up, panic coursing through me. "Oh my god," I muttered, scrambling to throw on something decent before rushing downstairs.
As I went downstairs, I found Ji-won, Jungkook, and his mom already at the kitchen table, chatting and enjoying what was left of brunch.
"I'm so, so sorry I woke up late," I blurted, trying to catch my breath as I stood by the table.
"Oh, it's alright, dear," Jungkook's mom said with a kind smile. "Jungkook told me you weren't feeling well. Here, go eat." She pushed a plate toward me, still warm with food.
"Thank you," I said, my voice softening as I smiled back and sat down. Jungkook's eyes were on me the whole time, but I avoided looking directly at him.
"We'll head home in a bit," Jungkook said after a moment. "Maybe later, once Y/N finishes getting ready."
I turned to him, frowning slightly. "D-do you know what happened last night? I don't think I remember much. I just remember you telling me we'd talk."
He tilted his head, his lips pressing into a tight line. "You don't... remember?"
"Why? Did I say something bad? Or wrong?" I asked nervously.
"Nothing," he said flatly, his attention shifting to his phone as his tone grew colder.
The tension in the room was suffocating, so I quickly finished eating and stood up. "I-I'll go dress up," I mumbled, heading upstairs without waiting for a response.
In the room, I focused on packing, trying to push away the unease settling in my chest. I zipped up my suitcase just as Jungkook came in, helping me carry our stuff downstairs to load into the trunk.
---
After bidding his mom and brother goodbye, Jungkook and I climbed into the car. The silence between us was deafening.
"Just drop me off at my apartment," I said, my gaze fixed out the window.
"I know," he replied curtly.
The drive back to Seoul stretched endlessly, each second weighed down by unspoken words. I stole a glance at him occasionally, but his expression remained unreadable, his focus firmly on the road.
When we finally arrived, Jungkook carried my bags into my apartment. He set them down quietly, his movements stiff.
"Bye," he said simply before walking out the door.
The sound of the door clicking shut echoed through the room, and I sank onto the couch, exhaling shakily. My phone buzzed on the cushion beside me.
I picked it up to see Namjoon's name flashing on the screen. With a sigh, I answered.
"Hey, wanna go to a party with me?" he asked, his voice chipper.
"Joon, you know I don't like parties," I replied, leaning my head back against the couch. "Plus, I'm a VP. I can't be doing that."
"Come on! Just this once, pleaseee," he begged.
I groaned, rubbing my temple. "Alright, just this once. But—"
"But what?" he interrupted eagerly.
"What do I get out of it?"
"A really fun time and a cool best friend: me," he answered with a laugh.
"Shut up," I muttered, though I couldn't help but grin.
"Get ready," he said. "I'll come over and help. I know you're clueless about party outfits."
"Excuse me?" I shot back, feigning offense.
"On the way," he said before hanging up.
---
Namjoon arrived a few minutes later, letting himself in with his usual energy.
"Alright, where are our candidates?" he asked, clapping his hands.
I pointed to the dresses hanging in my closet.
The first was a tight black dress, sleek and long with a high slit.
"Too long," he said with a shake of his head.
The next was a baby pink, flowy dress.
"Too cutesy."
I rolled my eyes and held up a white, shiny dress adorned with rhinestones.
"Are you dressing up as a disco ball?" he teased, making me laugh despite myself.
Finally, I pulled out a light pastel green, silky dress that hugged my body in all the right places while maintaining an elegant air.
Namjoon's jaw dropped slightly as he stared at me. "This is it. You're gorgeous," he said, still looking a little stunned.
I smiled shyly and began curling my hair, keeping my makeup natural with a soft, flushed look.
When I was done, I called Namjoon into the room.
"Okay, I'm ready," I said, gesturing for him to come in.
He walked in and froze, his eyes widening.
"Woah," he said.
"What?" I asked, tilting my head.
"You... you don't have your glasses," he said, his voice softer.
"I'm wearing contacts, silly," I replied with a small laugh.
Namjoon shook his head as if snapping out of a daze. "Alright, alright. Come on, let's go."
I glanced at the clock and sighed. "Can't believe it's already 9. It took us seven hours to get me ready!"
"Well, it was worth it," he said with a grin. "Let's party."
The party was already in full swing when Namjoon and I arrived. The bass of the music thumped loudly in my chest as I looked around, the crowd a chaotic blur of moving bodies and flashing lights.
"Hey, Joon? I'm gonna grab some drinks," I called out over the noise.
He nodded, already immersed in conversation with someone.
Weaving my way through the crowd, I was halfway to the bar when I accidentally bumped into a group of guys. The smell of cologne and alcohol was overpowering, and as I glanced up, my heart sank.
It was Jungkook.
And his friends.
"Hey, loverboy," one of them said with a grin, nudging Jungkook's arm. "Look, is that your girl?"
The group burst into laughter, their teasing loud and sharp.
Jungkook's ears turned red, and he hesitated before mumbling, "N-no."
His answer made something in me twist painfully, but before I could process it, one of his friends stepped closer, his smirk widening.
"How does it feel being one of Jungkook's bets?"
The words hit me like a freight train. My breath caught in my throat, and I turned to Jungkook, my vision blurry from the sting of unshed tears.
"Y/N—" he started, his voice panicked, but one of his friends grabbed his arm.
"Let her be," they said, laughing cruelly.
I yanked my arm away from the guy and hurried to the bar, my heart pounding so loudly that it drowned out the music.
Sitting on a stool, I poured alchohol into a red cup with shaky hands and took a large sip. The burn didn't matter. anything to dull the ache in my chest.
The hours blurred together. By the time I finished my ninth cup, the world spun hazily around me. I stumbled toward a couch, collapsing onto the soft cushions, my head buzzing.
Two men approached, their faces vaguely familiar from campus.
"Hey," one of them said, leaning in closer. "Aren't you the VP?"
I nodded drunkenly, unable to form a coherent response.
The other one grinned, his eyes lingering too long on me. "You don't seem like one right now."
I tried to laugh it off, but then I felt a hand on my leg, slowly creeping upward.
"Stop," I muttered weakly, but they ignored me.
"STOP!" I cried out, my voice breaking into a scream as I tried to push them away.
Before I could move, a fist flew past me, landing squarely on the guy's face. He stumbled back, clutching his jaw, and I blinked blearily as Jungkook stood in front of me, his chest rising and falling in anger.
"Touch her again, you punk," Jungkook growled, his voice low and dangerous before landing another punch.
Gasps rippled through the crowd as people turned to watch. Phones appeared, cameras flashing as whispers filled the room.
"Isn't that our VP?" "Don't they hate each other?" "What's going on?"
Jungkook turned to me, his face etched with concern as he grabbed my arm.
"Come on," he muttered, pulling me to my feet.
"Who brought you here?" he demanded, his voice sharp as we stepped outside into the cool night air.
"N-Namjoon," I mumbled, giggling drunkenly.
"Fuck," he hissed, running a hand through his hair. "How much did you drink?"
"I-I don't—" Before I could finish, my knees gave out, and I felt myself falling.
"Shit," Jungkook cursed, catching me just in time and scooping me into his arms bridal style.
As he carried me toward his car, I stirred slightly, my head lolling against his chest. "Do I love you?" I mumbled, my words slurring together.
Jungkook froze for a moment, his grip tightening on me.
"I should be mad at you for making me your bet," I slurred, tears streaming down my face. "But... I feel this weird feeling."
"Y/N—" he started, his voice soft, but I cut him off.
"I don't wanna love you, Jungkook," I cried, my words breaking with a sob. "I don't love you. I shouldn't."
My chest heaved as I buried my face against his shoulder. "Why do you do this? I'm so confused. I just wanna be the number one girl in your eyes," I whispered, my voice trembling.
"I hate this, Jungkook... I hate you," I muttered weakly, my tears soaking into his shirt as I finally succumbed to exhaustion.
Jungkook sighed heavily, his expression unreadable as he opened the car door and gently placed me in the passenger seat. He tucked the seatbelt around me, his movements careful and deliberate, before closing the door and walking around to the driver's side.
The car ride was a blur, punctuated only by the sound of my occasional hiccup and the faint sound of his playlist. When we finally reached my apartment, Jungkook wasted no time carrying me inside. His steps were careful, steady, as though he was trying not to move me too much.
He pushed the door open with his foot and gently set me down on the bed, brushing stray hair from my face as I muttered incoherently.
"Kook..." I mumbled, tugging weakly at the strap of my dress. "My dress. Please... undress it."
Jungkook froze, his ears turning red as he looked at me, flustered. "I can't," he said softly, his voice strained.
"Just close your eyes," I slurred, meeting his gaze drunkenly, my eyes half-lidded.
He hesitated for a long moment, his jaw tightening before he sighed, relenting. "Fine."
"Get up," he said, helping me sit up on the edge of the bed. I swayed slightly, leaning on him as I turned around. His hands hesitated at the zipper, his breath hitching.
"Y-you're not wearing a bra?" he stammered as the zipper came undone, the fabric loosening around me.
"The bra strap would make it ridiculous," I muttered, shrugging as though it were obvious.
Jungkook let out a soft chuckle, shaking his head as he tried to keep his eyes tightly shut. "You're unbelievable," he said under his breath.
He stood and moved to my closet, rummaging for something suitable to replace the dress. Finally, he pulled out a pair of shorts and one of his oversized shirts, a look of familiarity flickering in his eyes.
"C'mere," he said, his voice low but gentle.
I stumbled toward him, my bare shoulders brushing against his arm as he carefully helped me into the clothes. His hands worked quickly, his eyes still closed as he guided my arms through the sleeves of the shirt.
"There," he said once the task was done. "You're all set."
I flopped back onto the bed, letting out a tired sigh. But before I could sink into the mattress completely, Jungkook spoke again.
"Wait, your makeup," he said, reaching for the wipes on my bedside table.
I groaned but didn't resist as he sat beside me, his touch surprisingly delicate as he began to wipe away the remnants of my makeup. The cold wipe against my skin was oddly soothing, and I found myself watching him through half-closed eyes.
"Why do you do all this for me?" I slurred, my words heavy and unsteady.
Jungkook didn't look at me, his focus on carefully wiping away the smudged mascara. "Because I want to," he answered simply.
I tilted my head, frowning slightly. "How much did you get?"
"Huh?" he asked, his hand pausing mid-wipe.
"How much money did you win?" I repeated, my voice softer but sharper.
Realization dawned in his expression, and he looked away for a moment before muttering, "a hundred bucks."
I let out a drunken laugh, though there was no real humor in it. "Grab my wallet," I said, making his brows furrow in confusion.
"What?" he asked, staring at me as though I'd lost my mind.
"Go ahead. Grab my wallet," I insisted, giggling to myself as I added, "You won me, so I'll win myself again. I'll just buy myself back."
Jungkook froze, his jaw tightening as my words hung in the air.
"But you won me, too," he said softly, his tone laced with a faint teasing edge. "So I guess we both won each other."
I shook my head, my laughter fading. "But I didn't make you a bet," I said quietly, the ache in my chest seeping into my voice.
The words hit him like a blow, and I saw his expression falter, his stomach clearly twisting with guilt. He looked away, his grip on the makeup wipe tightening for a moment before he resumed cleaning my face.
"Are you wearing contacts?" he asked after a beat, his voice low but steady.
"Maybe," I muttered, my head lolling slightly as the alcohol swirled in my veins.
"Let me take them off," he said, his thumb gently pulling down my eyelid. His touch was careful as he removed the lenses one by one, leaving my eyes bare and vulnerable.
"You go sleep now, alright?" he said softly, brushing a hand through my hair.
I reached out weakly, tugging at his arm. "Can you... can you just hug me to sleep?" I asked, my voice small and trembling.
Jungkook froze, his body tensing under my grip. "Y/N..." he began, his voice hesitant.
"For the last time," I murmured, my eyes fluttering shut. "Before you go away."
His hesitation lingered in the air, but eventually, he relented. I felt the mattress dip as he lay down beside me, his arms wrapping around me carefully, tightly.
----
I woke up to a pounding headache, my head spinning as I slowly sat up. The sunlight streaming through the window felt like knives piercing through my skull, and I groaned, rubbing my temples.
As I shifted in bed, I noticed the fabric of the shirt I was wearing. It wasn't mine.
It was Jungkook's.
The oversized shirt hung loosely on me, the faint scent of his cologne still clinging to the fabric. My breath hitched as I brought it closer to my nose, the smell both comforting and suffocating at the same time.
Did he come here? How did I get home?
I tried to piece together the fragments of the previous night, but my memory was hazy. I reached for my phone on the bedside table, the screen lighting up with notifications.
And there it was.
The first video was blurry but unmistakable. Jungkook stood in the middle of a crowd, his fists clenched as he towered over a guy on the couch.
"Touch her again, you punk," his voice growled through the speakers.
The bystanders gasped as Jungkook pulled me up, his arm protectively around my waist.
I scrolled further, finding another video. This time, it was of him carrying me in a bridal style, weaving through the crowd.
The audio was faint, but I could just make out my own drunken voice slurring, "Do I love you?"
Jungkook froze for a moment in the video, his face tightening as he looked at me.
I groaned loudly, burying my face in my hands. "ARGH!" I yelled, the sound echoing in my empty apartment.
I threw the phone onto the bed, pacing the room in frustration.
----
I had barely stepped onto campus when the student council secretary approached me, her expression a mix of pity and worry.
"Hey, Pres is calling for you," she said, her voice low. "You should go to the office."
My heart sank. I shut my eyes briefly, taking a deep breath to prepare for whatever storm was waiting for me.
----
Walking into the student council office felt like stepping into a courtroom. Our president was seated behind the desk, her arms crossed, her expression one of pure fury.
"Hello—" I began hesitantly, but before I could finish, she slammed her phone onto the table with a loud thud, cutting me off.
"Y/N, are you fucking kidding me?" she snapped, her voice sharp enough to make me flinch.
She picked up her phone and shoved the screen toward me. There it was: the video of Jungkook punching the guy and carrying me out of the party.
"I know—" I tried to defend myself, but she didn't let me finish.
"First, you ditch our project meetings for three days, and now you're trending all over school being associated with Jeon Jungkook!" Her voice was rising with every word.
I swallowed hard, guilt pooling in my stomach.
"Do you even realize what this could do to our school's reputation? You're a VP, for fuck's sake, Y/N. Act like it!"
I stared down at the floor, the weight of her words pressing down on me. "Pres, I'm sorry," I murmured weakly.
Her glare didn't soften. "You'll be the one delivering the speech this Friday. Have you prepared everything?"
"Yes, Pres. I have. I'll email you everything today, I promise," I said quickly, hoping to salvage what little trust she had left in me.
She leaned back in her chair, her gaze still hard. "Why were you absent?"
"I, um... I was sick," I lied, trying to keep my voice steady.
Her eyes narrowed, and she scoffed. "Lies."
Reaching for her phone again, she swiped a few times before holding it up to me. "Have you seen Jeon Jungkook's Instagram?"
My heart sank further as I stared at the screen. The feed was filled with pictures from Busan—our trip to Busan.
I swiped through the photos, each one hitting me harder than the last.
The first was a picture of me asleep in Jungkook's arms, my face soft and peaceful against his chest.
The second showed me helping his mom set the dinner table, a smile on my face as I handed her a plate.
The third was of the beach. A candid shot of me laughing, the ocean behind me, my hair wild from the wind.
And then there was the last picture.
It was a candid shot of Jungkook and me. We were standing close, our faces inches apart, like we were about to kiss. The caption underneath read: "My number one girl."
I froze, my breath catching in my throat.
A part of me fluttered with a strange mix of happiness and flustered confusion. But that fleeting warmth was quickly crushed by the weight of reality.
Was this just for his bet?
The thought tore through me, leaving my heart aching.
The president sighed, snapping me back to the present.
"This is unacceptable, Y/N," she said, her tone cold. "You're supposed to represent the school, not become some tabloid headline."
I nodded numbly, my voice barely above a whisper. "I understand."
"Fix this," she ordered, her words final as she dismissed me with a wave of her hand.
I turned and walked out of the office, my legs shaky beneath me. The hallways felt suffocating, every student's gaze like a spotlight on me. The whispered rumors, the muffled laughs all of it rang in my ears.
How could he do this?
I walked into class, my head still pounding from the events of the morning. As I slumped into my seat, Namjoon turned toward me, a sheepish smile on his face.
"Told you I shouldn’t have gone," I snapped, shooting him a glare. "Now I’m screwed."
Namjoon’s smile disappeared, and he clasped his hands together in a mock plea. "Y/N, I’m really, really sorry. I swear I will never invite you to another party again."
"You mean to not leave me alone at one," I retorted sharply, crossing my arms.
Namjoon winced, nodding. "I was trying to find you, but by the time I did, Jungkook was already there."
I sighed, shaking my head at him. "Alright. Just... don’t let it happen again."
He leaned closer, nudging my arm gently. "So, is it true? Did you ditch your project meetings to go on a trip with Jungkook?"
I glared at him again. "Say another word about that, and you’re dead."
Namjoon raised his hands in surrender, a nervous laugh escaping his lips as he turned back to his notebook.
During class, I discretely checked my phone under the desk, ignoring the lesson for a moment. My notifications glared back at me, drawing my attention to Jungkook’s messages from the night before.
Yesterday, 11:03 PM Jakay: Y/N... I’m sorry. Jakay: Can we talk about this? Jakay: I’ll explain everything after the party.
Seen. Blocks.
I locked my phone, shoving it into my pocket and forcing my focus back to the lesson.
After school, I trudged back to my apartment, exhausted and emotionally drained.
"I want ice cream," I muttered to myself as I walked into the kitchen and opened the freezer. My eyes immediately landed on the mint chocolate ice cream Jungkook had bought for me.
As I pulled it out, a small note stuck to the lid caught my attention. The handwriting was unmistakable.
"I love you. I’m sorry."
I stared at the note for a moment, my chest tightening. Then, without a second thought, I crumpled it up and threw it into the trash. My hands trembled as I opened the ice cream aggressively, shoving a spoon into it and taking a large bite.
---
I had just started to feel slightly at ease when my phone buzzed.
Unknown: Y/N, I’m sorry. Unknown: You probably don’t want to talk to me ever. Unknown: I was really genuine about bringing you to Busan to introduce you to my mom. Unknown: I won’t bother you again. Unknown: Good luck with your speech at Foundation Day. :)
I clenched my jaw, my fingers trembling as I began typing a reply.
Me: If you were really genuine, you wouldn’t have posted me on your IG when you knew what could happen. Me: I thought we agreed to not associate with each other in public. Me: I thought it would be a social suicide for you. Me: Unless you were really desperate for that bet money that you had to drag my school life into this, knowing I’m on the student board, a VP. Me: Fix this, because I’m not apologizing or cleaning up a mess I didn’t make. Me: Goodbye.
Seen.
---
The following days were filled with avoidance.
Flowers left outside my door? Ignored. Chocolates with handwritten notes? Straight to the trash. Mint chocolate ice creams? Untouched in the freezer.
I threw myself into student council work, directing Foundation Day projects with single-minded focus. By the time I finally got home each night, I was too exhausted to think about anything or anyone else.
It was the night before Foundation Day. I was lying in bed, staring at the ceiling, my body aching from the day’s work. The clock read 10:34 PM, and I was just about to fall asleep when my phone buzzed.
An unknown number.
I ignored it, but it rang again moments later. With a sigh, I picked up.
"Hello?" I said, my voice groggy and annoyed.
"Do you know Jungkook?" an unfamiliar voice asked, urgency lacing their words.
"Yes, why?" I replied, sitting up.
"Can you come to euphoria Club, please? It’s urgent," the man pleaded.
Alarm bells rang in my head. I quickly threw on a cardigan over my Hello Kitty pajamas and ordered an Uber, my heart pounding with worry the entire ride there.
---
The club was chaotic when I arrived, the music blasting so loud I could feel it in my chest. I pushed through the crowd, calling out his name.
"Jungkook!"
"Here!" someone called out, waving their hand.
I hurried toward the voice, finding Taehyung and a few of Jungkook’s other friends standing near a slouched figure.
"Y/N...?" Taehyung’s voice trailed off, surprised as I brushed past him to Jungkook.
"Kook?" I said softly, kneeling beside him. "Come on, let’s go home."
He looked up at me, his eyes glassy and unfocused. "I’m sorry, Y/N..." he muttered drunkenly, leaning forward to hug me. "I really am. I fucked up."
"Can you drive?" Yoongi asked, his face serious.
I nodded. "Help me pick him up."
Together, we managed to get Jungkook to his car. He was barely coherent, slurring his words as I buckled him into the passenger seat.
As I drove, Jungkook chuckled weakly to himself, his head lolling against the window.
"I like this girl so much," he mumbled, his words slurred but clear enough. "But she’s still so clueless and confused about it, but i think she's just convincing herself she doesn't want me"
I gripped the wheel tighter, pretending not to care.
"She’s really pretty and smart, y’know?" he continued, his voice soft and wistful.
He paused for a moment before letting out a bitter laugh. "Yeah, I won the bet... but I lost her."
My chest tightened at his words.
"So basically, I lost," he said, shaking his head and pressing his palm to his forehead.
"You can’t have both," I replied softly, focusing on the road.
"Why did I even pick the bet over her?" he muttered, more to himself than to me.
When we reached his apartment, I gently guided him to the couch. He leaned heavily on me, his movements sluggish.
As I turned to leave, his hand shot out, grabbing my wrist.
"I missed you," he murmured, pulling me into a hug.
I froze, his words hanging in the air as his grip slackened and he drifted off to sleep.
With a sigh, I glanced at the clock on my phone: 1:00 AM.
I stayed where I was, sitting beside him on the couch. Exhaustion overtook me, and before I knew it, I had fallen asleep, too.
--
The shrill blare of my alarm yanked me from sleep, and I groggily blinked at the time.
"Shit!" I shot up, panic surging through me as the realization hit.
"Jungkook! Jungkook!" I shook him awake, my voice urgent.
He stirred, rubbing his eyes before looking at me with a mix of confusion. "What? What’s going on?"
"Please, please drive me to my apartment—quickly!" I said, already scrambling to gather my things. "Today’s Foundation Day!"
That seemed to snap him out of his half-asleep state. "Fuck," he muttered, getting up in a rush to grab his car keys.
"Wait!" I stopped him, heading for his bag. I found the painkillers I knew he’d need and poured a glass of water from the kitchen. "Take this first," I said, holding the pill and water out to him.
He downed it quickly, nodding as he grabbed his jacket and motioned for me to follow.---
We sped through the streets in his car.
"Fuck, fuck," I muttered under my breath, tapping my foot nervously.
"I’m sorry—fuck," Jungkook muttered, his voice tense as he focused on the road.
When we finally reached my apartment, I leaped out of the car, hurriedly grabbing my things. I barely had time to thank him as I rushed inside to get ready.
The next thirty minutes were a disaster. I applied my makeup with practiced speed, slipping into my carefully chosen pretty outfit for the day.
Jungkook had followed me inside to clean up as well, and when I emerged, I found him waiting by the door, dressed sharply in a casual outfit.
"You ready?" he asked, his voice steady despite the chaos of the morning.
"Yeah. Let’s go!" I said, grabbing his arm as we rushed back to the car and sped toward school.
---
The field was already bustling with activity when we arrived, the energy of Foundation Day in full swing. As we hurried across the field, I could feel dozens of eyes on us, whispers trailing in our wake.
"Why are they running together?" "Isn’t that Jungkook?" "What’s going on?"
I ignored the murmurs, my focus solely on making it to the stage in time.
"Okay, just sit there!" I pointed to a chair in the front row near the stage, my tone leaving no room for argument.
Jungkook nodded, taking the seat as I hurried backstage.
Minutes before my speech, the student council president found me, her arms crossed and her expression tense.
"What was that?" she hissed, her voice low but accusatory. "Why were you with Jungkook again?"
"Just... please," I said, my voice weary. "I’m exhausted. Can we not do this right now?"
She narrowed her eyes but said nothing more, stepping aside as my name was called.
Taking a deep breath, I walked onto the stage, my heels clicking against the polished wood as I approached the podium. The field quieted as all eyes turned toward me.
I smiled warmly, gathering my thoughts before speaking.
"Good morning, everyone! Honorable principal, respected teachers, esteemed guests, fellow students, and everyone gathered here today, it is an honor to stand before you on this remarkable occasion, our school’s 14th Foundation Day.
Today, we celebrate not just the number of years but the legacy of excellence, growth, and community that has brought us to this moment.
Foundation Day is not just about celebrating the past; it is about envisioning the future. Let us take this opportunity to commit ourselves to uphold the values of our school and work together to make it an even better place. Let’s aim higher, support one another, and leave a legacy for the generations to come.
Thank you, and happy Foundation Day!"
I finished with a smile, my voice steady and confident. The crowd erupted into applause, and the energy was electric as cheers filled the air.
As I stepped back from the podium, scanning the crowd, my gaze landed on one person.
Jungkook.
He was seated exactly where I had told him to sit, his eyes locked on mine. His lips curved into a small, proud smile, and I couldn’t help but smile back.
For a moment, the chaos of the morning, the lingering hurt, and the whispers of the crowd all faded. It was just him and me.
With my heart feeling lighter than it had in days, I left the stage, exchanging one last look with him before disappearing backstage.
It was a few hours after the speech when Jungkook found me, tugging me gently by the wrist to lead me somewhere private. We stopped in a quiet corner of the campus, away from peoples eyes and curious whispers.
"Look, I want to explain everything," he started, his voice unsteady but determined.
I crossed my arms, tilting my head as I waited for him to continue.
"Taehyung my friend did a really stupid bet," he began, his words spilling out like he’d been rehearsing them. "He said if I could get you to like me, I’d win a hundred bucks. But during the bet, I realized..." He hesitated, running a hand through his hair nervously. "I realized I wanted you too- fuck- no, I loved you too-"
I cut him off with a raised eyebrow and a small, amused chuckle. "Who said I loved you too?"
Jungkook froze, his mouth slightly agape, before I waved him off with a smile. "Okay, sorry. Go on," I said, letting him finish.
He took a deep breath, his eyes searching mine. "At first, I really just wanted to win the bet. But the longer it went on, the more..." He trailed off, his hands gesturing helplessly. "My brain just went blank-crazy every time I looked at you. I enjoyed teasing you, making you mad at me, just so you’d keep talking to me. And I really, really am so sorry for everything. for making you feel betrayed, sad, confused-"
He looked down, his voice quieter now. "I can’t believe it took something as stupid as this bet to make me realize what I felt about you." A weak chuckle escaped his lips.
I softened slightly, watching him as he fidgeted.
Jungkook reached out, gently taking my hand in his. "I have to admit... at first, I was ashamed." He hesitated, his gaze flickering up to meet mine. "Ashamed of being friends with the VP. I was a coward, scared of something I couldn’t even explain. But now? All I want to do is kiss you in front of everyone and let them judge us."
His words hung in the air, heavy with vulnerability and sincerity.
I gave him a small smile, shaking my head. "Kissing me in public would only make the rumors worse, Jungkook. It could get us in trouble for committing inappropriate acts at school, you know," I said with a teasing edge, my lips curving into a grin.
He scratched the back of his neck sheepishly. "Also," he added, his voice softer now, "the hot, smart girlfriend I was talking about to my brother..." He paused, his cheeks flushing slightly. "It was you."
I raised an eyebrow, tilting my head. "Who said I was your girlfriend?"
His head snapped up, his face a mixture of confusion and panic. "Huh?"
"You can’t just hurt me like that and think you’ll get it easily," I said with a smirk, my eyes sparkling with mischief.
Realization dawned on his face, and he nodded, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips.
"You’ll have to earn me again," I added, turning my gaze away from him, pretending to inspect my nails.
Jungkook laughed softly, the sound warm and genuine. "Alright. I deserve that."
"Also, you can’t get both," I continued, my grin widening. "So, give me the hundred bucks."
He blinked at me, then burst out laughing. "Alright, fine. I’ll Venmo it to you later," he said, shaking his head in disbelief.
Then, he leaned in slightly, his voice dropping to a near whisper. "Can I kiss you?"
I leaned back just a little, raising an eyebrow. "Too fast," I teased, scrunching my nose playfully.
Instead, I offered him my hand. He smiled, taking it and pressing a gentle kiss to the back of it, his eyes never leaving mine.

Can i request OPLA zoro where he doesn't get along with reader but calls her my girl in front of a baratie waiter who was flirting with her.
my girl
zoro; 2,438 words; fluff, kinda enemies to lovers, fem!reader, straw hat!reader, lots of banter, slow...burn?
summary: just cause you don't see eye to eye doesn't mean zoro's down to watch you get hit on while he's in the same bar, either.
a/n: again. i've got no excuse. pls continue to send more requests feed my opla!zoro obsession u__u
it is perhaps what therapists and psychiatrists would call an incompatibility of character. or maybe something about you and him that simply acted like two jigsaw pieces from completely different puzzles. or maybe luffy had just jinxed it when he’d said the first time that he sensed some “tension amongst the crew”, but it’s no secret that you and zoro don’t exact see eye to eye.
in fact, sanji thinks, it might only be a matter of time before you each try to take the other’s eyes out permanently.
“you’re really not worried?” he asked luffy as they’d watched zoro and you bicker all the way down the wobbling boardwalk leading up to the baratie, you sniping at zoro for getting in your way and zoro biting back something equally acerbic and childish about you being too clumsy to be a good pirate.
“huh? why would i be worried? they get along just fine!” luffy had laughed, eyes bright and round as he’d readjusted his hat and bounded off towards the entrance, whooping about being hungry enough to take down an entire sea cow.
“wh —”
“bit rich, since you and zoro are always at each other’s throats, no?”
nami bumps sanji’s arm as she strolls by him with a stack of empty crates. sanji squawks, readjusting his own bags before jogging after her.
“c’mon, you know that’s different!”
nami smirks but doesn’t grace that with an answer, instead, she lets her eyes flicker back to where you and zoro are still snarking at each other even as the bewildered looking fishman at the front leads you all around back to the kitchen entrance.
“— wouldn’t have been in that situation if you’d just —”
“yeah? and if i’d just stayed put like you said, the entire going merry would’ve gone up in smoke cause last i checked, wood is very flammable!”
“the merry’s not that fragile.”
“you wanna bet?”
“yeah, maybe i do —”
“what’s goin’ on here? didn’t i tell you lot to get lost?” zeff’s gruff voice interrupts your bickering as the peg-legged chef looks from zoro to you and then the rest of the crew, “gotta new one, didya? don’t remember you from the last time these idiots were here.”
“she’s barely an upgrade from the clown head —”
you slam your heel into the toe of zoro’s boot and he hisses, nearly dropping his armful of crates.
“what he means is that i’m the brains of the operation —”
“we don’t need brains —”
“oh, so you’re admitting that you didn’t have any before i got here?”
zoro glares, dropping the crates as luffy pushes past you both to clap zeff on the shoulder and offer him a huge stack of berry.
“we came to pay you back for the meal last time! and to buy a new one! and… maybe some extra food stuff if you’ve got it.”
zeff opens his mouth to answer but it’s drowned out by the sound of your voice as you jab a finger into zoro’s chest.
“— just because you can’t hold more than one cohesive thought in your head at once doesn’t mean that —”
“— what’s that even supposed to mean? like you can think about two things at once?”
“enough! you two — outta the kitchen, now! i won’t have your lovesick teenage yappin’ distractin’ my line chefs!”
you both jump at zeff’s voice, and an unpleasant heat creeps into your cheeks as you realize that the entire kitchen had indeed gone very quiet, most of the white-clad workers staring at you and zoro.
“i need a drink,” zoro says, rolling his shoulders as he sidesteps you and pushes his way out of the kitchen.
“look, sir, i didn’t mean —” you take half a step forward but zeff jabs a finger at the doors still swinging in zoro’s wake.
“i said out!”
you glance between zeff and the rest of your crew for a split second before turning and scrambling from the kitchen, looking abashed.
“oh no, c’mon zeff, you didn’t need to yell at her like that —” sanji sighs as he tries to go after you, but nami nails him in the stomach with one of her arms.
“nope. this is something they need to work out on their own. and you’re on grocery shopping duty with me, remember?” she flashes him a smile even as he deflates slightly and turns back to the work of haggling rations out of the baratie’s storerooms.
you find zoro already posted up at the bar, even though the hour is still early enough that there’s only a few other patrons, mainly keeping to themselves. you fight the urge to march up to him and give him an earful about embarrassing you in front of sanji’s old master like that but zeff’s words about making a scene keeps your lips clamped shut.
instead, you seat yourself as far from zoro as humanly possible and wait for the bartender to sidle over. he flashes you a winning smile, making no attempt to conceal the way his eyes drag from your hair to your face and then down to your cleavage, where his gaze rests for a beat too long before he clears his throat.
“what can i get you, gorgeous? something sweet and bubbly, perhaps? or maybe something a bit more dark and… seductive? i can have a custom drink whipped up for you in a few if you’d like… on the house, of course.”
he shoots you a wink that has your eyebrows hiking up your forehead.
“laying it on thick, are we?”
the bartender shrugs, seemingly unbothered by your lack of enthusiasm.
“place like this doesn’t exactly breed subtlety.”
you make a noncommittal noise before sighing, “i’ll have a dirty martini, shaken not stirred, straight, with a twist, please.”
to his credit, the bartender doesn’t miss a single beat, “ah, a woman of taste, though i’ll admit that i prefer my martini’s naked instead of shaken, hm?”
he waggles his eyebrows and if it weren’t for the loud cough from down the bar drawing the bartender’s attention, you would’ve rolled your eyes.
at the opposite end of the bar, zoro taps his empty drink glass against the waxy hardwood, a vein ticking in his jaw. he’d listened to the entire exchange with a growing annoyance festering in the depths of his stomach. and here he was, hoping for a moment of quiet without the sound of your voice yammering in his ear. he shoots the bartender a glowering look as the man refills his drink and tries to make his way back down the bar to you.
zoro tosses the entire drink back in one and sets the empty glass down with a loud clack, clearing his throat as the bartender turns to stare at him. he holds the man’s gaze for a full three seconds before looking pointedly down at his glass and the bartender’s face visibly reddens.
“here you are, sir — the last three are on the house.”
the bartender lines up five identical drinks in front of zoro before marching away and zoro has to give it to the guy. he does make a good, stiff drink.
still, as he tries his hardest not to glance down towards where you’re sitting, sipping slowly at your martini, he can’t help overhearing the stilted stabs at conversation floating down the length of the empty bar. the bartender lavishes you with questions, asking about your travels, who you came with, where you’re from. you, for your part, never give him an answer more than three words long — travels were good, my crew, an autumn island.
zoro briefly wonders why you don’t tell the guy off like you so often did him. then, he briefly wonders if the fact that you’re always so easily set off by him means something. then, he not-so-briefly wonders why, if he’s always been so bothered by you, that he’s still thinking about you in the precious few hours he has to himself.
he clicks his tongue and downs another drink just as you finish your first.
“c’mon darlin’ — just a hint — what about the first letter? shall i try to guess?”
you sigh into your now empty glass as the bartender asks your name for the third time in a row, though to no avail. suddenly, a warm, solid presence appears next to you and the next thing you know, zoro’s arm is brushing up against yours as he leans over the bar to bear down at the bartender.
“right, now if you’re done trying t’pick up my girl, i think i’d like the check.”
the bartender blinks up at zoro, uncomprehending for a second before a blotchy redness seeps into his cheeks.
“y-your — you haven’t said a word to each other since either of you got here!”
you swallow passed a bewildered laugh as you glance up at zoro to find a challenge clear in his eyes. you slowly swivel back to the bartender with a light smile.
“ever heard of a lover’s quarrel?”
the bartender sputters as he stares between the pair of you for another long second before scurrying off to fetch the check. zoro chuckles under his breath, his earrings clinking softly in the dim light.
“damn — i really wanted another drink,” you say, staring at your empty glass.
wordlessly, zoro plops one of his in front of you. it’s the second to last.
you bring it up to your nose for a sniff before making a face.
“god that smells awful!”
“fine then, more for me.”
“i didn’t say i wouldn’t drink it!”
you bring the glass to your lips for a small sip. it’s tastier than you’d imagined but it still burns a line down your throat as you shiver.
“h-holy shit —” you cough, wiping at your mouth, “how many of these have you had?”
zoro shrugs, sipping on his own glass with a careless ease, “dunno. don’t really keep count.”
“ugh… this could knock out a war elephant…” you make another face before you take a second sip.
“figures you can’t hold your liquor, drinkin’ whatever girly shit you ordered.”
you round on him, “martinis are not girly!”
“tch. whatever.”
you settle into a huffy silence. zoro’s arm is still pressed against yours and neither of you makes to pull away. for a while, the only sounds in the bar are the soft clink of ice on glass and the light, liquid splashing of the ocean waves.
“why didn’t you tell him off?” zoro’s voice is quiet and when you turn to look at him, it’s to find him staring. you hold his gaze steady and don’t look away.
“why should i? he’s no one to me.”
“you don’t seem to have a problem yellin’ at me.”
you shrug, your eyes flickering back to the too-strong drink in your hand.
“i don’t tend to waste my breath on people i don’t really care about,” you say, your voice soft and careful and honest. zoro sucks in a slow breath, his mildly alcohol addled brain trying to process what you’d just said but his thoughts are interrupted by a peel of loud, raucous laughter echoing in from the dining room beyond.
“c’mon, sounds like dinner is served,” you say, grinning as you push off the bar, jerking your head towards the dining room door.
zoro lets out the breath before downing the rest of his drink and leaving the empty glass on the bar to follow you.
at dinner, you bicker less than usual and zoro is even more quiet than he normally is. though he wastes no time ordering another round for the table. no one really comments till zeff comes round at the end with the check.
“dinner’s already paid for but i was told that this is for the ‘lovebirds from the bar’,” he says, as he drops the drinks bill in front of zoro with a deadpan sort of look.
for a full ten seconds, no one moves. and then, usopp’s jaws hit the floor as sanji’s eyebrows jerk towards the ceiling. nami sits back with a satisfied smirk as luffy nods happily at the two of you before turning to grin at sanji.
“see? told you they get along fine!”
sanji has the decency to sputter just as usopp leans forward to point between you and zoro.
“wait… whaattt?”
you make to tug out your wallet but zoro slaps a stack of berry on top of the bill.
“give our compliments to the bartender,” he says with a slight smirk as zeff takes the money, glancing up at the two of you.
“yeah? what’d he make that’s got you so impressed?”
you purse your lips as you make a show of shrugging, waving a nonchalant hand through the air.
“oh, just a mean dirty martini.”
zeff lets out a loud bark of laughter as he takes the berry and clomps back towards the kitchens, shaking his head. zoro chuckles beside you as he stretches an arm over his head and lets it settle casually on the booth back behind you.
later, as everyone is making their way back towards the going merry, nami catches up to you on the docks, looping an arm through yours and pinning you with a meaningful look just as sanji sidles up to zoro and bumps him with a shoulder.
“so…” nami says, grinning as she tugs you forward a few steps.
“so.” sanji clears his throat, casting zoro a sidelong glance.
“wanna tell me what that was about?” nami asks.
“care to elaborate on that back there?” sanji questions.
you and zoro both take a deep, long breath. zoro glances up to see the way you toss a lock of hair over your shoulder, your bright laughter carrying back on the breeze. you allow yourself a smile, and you don’t have to turn to feel zoro’s eyes on you as both of you turn to your respective companions and say —
“i’ve got no idea what you’re talking about.”
opla!zoro reqs are (as always) open!!

FAMILIAR STRANGER | chapter five
what's gonna happen when you find out about your enemy's biggest secret?
ghostface!chris x enemy!reader
chapter four | chapter six
— warnings; smut with plot, dom!chris, sub!reader, unprotected p in v, rough, choking, kinda size kink, creampie, squirting, dirty talk, pet names, bratty reader, cursing, - english isn't my first language.
~~~
you remember the first realization that chris is turning you on and how you felt afterwards. it was less than two weeks after you had met him and his brothers for the first time, and you overheard chris bragging about what a good fuck he had yesterday, and how loud the girl he was with was. the way he talked about it irritated you, you thought he was just an idiot who objectified women. not even ten seconds later, your thoughts drifted off, wondering if his lips were soft or not, if his long fingers would be able to reach places inside of you that even you couldn't reach. and then you became aware of your thoughts, feeling the wetness between your legs, embarrassment and annoyance overpowering your other senses. you couldn’t look him in the eye for a whole day after that.
you never thought you could even get close to him and not for almost slapping him in the face after some stupid comment he'd say. because there were moments when you wanted to hit him after he said too much. whenever his words were too disrespectful even for him, chris would mutter a quiet, annoyed 'that's not what i meant', which was almost like an apology in his style. It's only happened about four times over the years, but it did.
so sitting on his desk, with your jacket and crop top somewhere on the floor and chris standing between your legs, attacking your lips with his, it felt like a fever dream. everything was happening so fast, it was barely possible to process things. all you could feel is his kisses down your jaw and neck, fingers moving to unclip your bra, two seconds later throwing it somewhere aside.
when he realized you'd finally let him rip off your clothes, he practically threw himself at you, things getting more heated with each passing second since then.
"isn't it funny...?" he mutters, tongue tracing over your hard nipple, your fingers tangling into his hair. "claimin' to hate me, but cravin' my cock?"
"shut up," you breathe out, feeling his hands spreading your legs more and yanking your skirt up to your waist. "i can hate you, but never said anything bad about your dick."
"good," he smirks against your skin, lifting his head up. "'cause you gonna feel every inch of me. and i ain't stoppin' until all you can remember is my name."
with that, he just rips your red tights off with such force that you have to grab the edge of the desk, pulling your panties aside and looking at your dripping pussy. his bottom lip between his teeth, as he stares mesmerized, his fingers tracing over your folds, feeling the wetness, "look at you, all soaked f'me again..."
chris's thumb rubbed circles against your clit as he pushes two fingers inside you, a quiet gasp escaping your lips, "who would've thought you're gonna be a little slut f'me, huh?"
he was clearly having the time of his life, pumping his fingers painfully slowly, curling them up to brush against your g-spot. you saw stars.
"chris," breathing heavily, you look at his cocky expression through half-open eyes. "don't tease."
"but is so fun," he grins and continues to explore your needy cunt with his fingers. "i wan' you to remember every second of this..."
he'd torture you, barely giving you any friction, enjoying the neediness written all over your face. he already knew he's gonna have you at his mercy tonight.
he absolutely loved the way you reacted to him, the way you tried to hold back your little noises, but he was going to make you completely lose control, not wanting you to still be holding back. this was his goal for tonight, to ruin you for anyone else. even since he met you, he wanted to know what it would be like to have your body against his, hearing your moans and cries. it got to the point where many times while fucking other girls, chris would imagine you when he was close. it was like forbidden fruit, his brother's bestfriend who was constantly showing how much she couldn't stand him. this need, growing over the years, to finally get his way with you, made him hate you so much like no one else ever before. chris was used to always getting what he wanted, but after realizing he couldn't have you, it was easier to keep you at a distance, which definitely didn't help him forget or crave you less. though tonight he was going to satisfy all his hidden desires, also showing you how bad he needed you.
"tryin' to keep quiet this time, huh? you wanna piss me off or what?" he finally starts moving his fingers faster, the wet noises filling the room, causing a wave of heat wash over you from embarrassment and arousal. not being able to even say a word, you desperately shake your head. a low chuckle leaves his lips, "no?"
"n-no, oh! fuck—" finally a loud, pornographic moan escapes you when he perfectly curled his fingers up, hitting that sweet spot of yours which was making your toes curl.
he grins, "there she is..." moving his head forward to suck at your nipple again, it feels like he's going to explode, just from pleasuring you.
"chris," your breath hitching in your throat at the feeling of him grinding his hardness against your thigh. "i need you, please."
never in your life you thought you'd be begging a guy for anything. you were rather the type who would never stoop to this level, considering it a weakness or something embarrassing, giving a guy this much power over you. obviously, you had had sex many times before, but you never really felt much pleasure from it or got as aroused as you did with chris. you were both surprised to hear that word come out of your mouth, but you didn't care. you loved and hated how much he was turning you on.
he groans, letting go off your nipple, a string of saliva connecting his lips with your breast as he looks at you, "say it again."
though, even in such needy state, you were still being yourself and shaked your head, refusing to repeat the pleases.
"oh, of course you gonna keep actin' all tough," he rolls his eyes, pulling his fingers out of you, hearing a little moan in protest. he forces you to lock your eyes with his by gripping your chin tightly, "m'not gonna fuck you 'til you start beggin'."
that was such a cruel thing, not only for you, but for chris as well, his cock so painfully hard, he was barely holding himself back from giving in and just fucking you senseless.
you narrow your eyes annoyed, arousal dripping down your legs, "i hate you."
"good," his tongue clicking against his upper teeth. "means that the sex s'gonna be good, if you quit pretendin' like you don' want to feel my dick deep inside you."
it was stupid to think it couldn't get any worse and you realize that when he spreads your legs even further, running the tip of his dick along your wet folds, the sensation making you fall back, having to prop yourself on your elbows, knocking the things off his desk.
"beg," he demands, hooking his fingers into the waistband of your skirt sliding it down your legs and tossing aside, quickly followed by the rest of your clothing, leaving you completely bare now. his eyes traveling intensely up and down your entire body, this sight etching in his memory and he knows he won't forget it for a long time. his hands run over your body, wanting to touch every inch of your skin, remembering every curve, shivers appear under his touch.
his tip prodding against you teasingly while he waists for you to give in, seeing how hard you're chewing on your bottom lip. "stop holding back," his voice a low rumble, eyes glistening with mischief. he flexes his hips, pushing in just the smallest bit before pulling back out again, tantalizing and torturing, not only you but himself as well.
you whine, meeting with his intense gaze as he adds, "jus' tell me you want this and i'll make you feel so good."
"i do," you manage to choke out, followed by a moan when he pushes in a little more this time, but again pulling back before you can wrap around him. his body convulsing as if it wants to lunge forward but he still holds himself back, savoring the control he always wanted to have over your body, "you do what?"
"fuck you, you know what i mean," your tone clearly annoyed with desire.
"nah, i think you gotta say it," he smirks. knowing you don't have any other option and wanting to finally feel him, you mutter quietly, "i need you to fuck me."
chris's eyes darken with lust at your admission, his cock throbbing with the need to burry himself inside you. he grips your hips, moving you closer to the edge of the desk, "yeah? how bad?"
"so bad that i'm gonna punch you in the face in a second if you keep teasing me," at your words he slowly slides in a little more this time, his breath hitching in his throat when you clench around just the tip of his dick. it already felt so good that your mind go blank and you add, "please, chris."
he shivers at the desperation in your voice, a thrill running through him, "good girl." finally giving in, he buries himself to the hilt with one hard snap of his hips, groaning at the tight heat enveloping him. the moan that escapes your lips is so loud that it's sure that if anyone was standing outside the door right now, would be able to hear it even with the loud music blasting in the house and other party noises.
"oh, you feel fucking..." chris snarls and withdraws almost all the way before slamming back in again, stealing another scream from you. "--amazing."
he sets fast pace, neither of you cared about your need to adjust to him. you both wanted each other so bad, the slight pain you'd feel quickly started turning into pleasure. "oh my g-god... chris, mmhph—"
"yeah, let me hear those sexy sounds," he pants, his hands gripping your hips hard enough to leave marks as he rails you, the wet slap of skin filling the room. "this what you needed so bad, huh?
you desperately nod, trying to grab onto literally anything he had on his desk, making a bigger mess. wrapping your legs around his hips, you lay down flat now, not being able to keep propping yourself on your elbows.
"eyes on me, pretty," he moves your legs to his shoulders, letting himself to go deeper. hearing your loud moan, he smirks, "theree is that spot, hm?"
"you... you're s-so..." the new angle makes you see stars, almost unable to even put a sentence together. "m'so what?" his voice thick with desire, one hand moves between your legs, finding your clit and rubbing firmly as he continues to pound into you. "fuckkk," your walls squeezing him so tight, it almost throws him over the edge.
"--big..." you finally choke out, back arching up. "you're big, chris— oh god..."
he makes a sound that's more like a whimper than the previous groans you've heard, his movements become more erratic, causing the knot in your stomach starting to grow. "say it again."
"so big..." you were a moaning mess now, eyes rolling back, squirming on his desk.
"stay fuckin' still," he groans again, his grip on your thighs tightened. "ya feel me? feel me deep, yeah? look at that... m'here—" he growls, his eyes glued to the visible bulge in your gut. seeing you being so full of him makes him lose all the control. "thaaaaat's it... cum on my cock like the slut you are..." he moves his hips even faster, wanting to be even deeper if it's possible, his pelvis slapping against yours as you reach your high with a loud moan of his name.
chris watches hypnotized as the pleasure and euphoria consume you, your back arching upward, desperately gripping the edge of the desk. "f-fuck, squeezing me so good," he praises, throwing his head back. you felt the overwhelming pleasure pulsing through your veins as he continues sliding in and out of your tight walls.
"fuck," he groans, pulling out of you and moving your legs off his shoulders, watching as your swollen pussy glistened with arousal and your release. "on the bed. now."
you almost stumble over your own feet, getting on his bed, while chris kicks his pants and boxers from his ankles, one hand pulling his shirt over his head and tossing it somewhere in the room. you're clenching around nothing after noticing that he picked up the ghostface mask from the floor and towering over you, waved the thing in front of your face.
"let's see if you gonna cum harder when i have this on," a smirk appears on his face as you swallow thickly, feeling your cheeks heating up more.
"chris..." your voice weak while watching how he puts the mask on, a shiver going down your spine straight to your core.
"always knew you're a crazy bitch," he lines himself up with your entrance again and thrusts back into you with one swift motion, starting pumping into you hard and fast just like before, your moans filling the room.
"oh my... fucking..." you're not even able to look at him now too intimidated and embarrassed how his ghostface mask works on you, but chris wasn't having any of that. he grabs your jaw, your cheeks squeezed as he forced you to glare at him again. his vivienne westwood necklace dangling in front of your face.
"don' you fuckin' dare look away," his voice low and gravelly, and he lets go off your chin, leaning back to look at where your bodies join, groaning at the sight. he watches as his dick slides in and out of your soaked pussy, his pace relentless. his jaw clenches, breath shallow as you start already tightening around him again. "oh, gonna cum so fast? damn," he moves his hand to wrap around your throat, squeezing slightly, not hard to take your breath away but enough to make you choke on your moans.
"look at you, all desperate and drunk off my cock," he groans, his hips snapping against yours. you feel him hitting your g-spot with each thrust, which makes you to come again, gripping his sheets so hard that you feel your nail breaking. "fuccccckkk.... yeaaah, here you go," he hisses, letting you ride out your high, slowing down before slowly pulling out, just to move his tip along your sticky folds. he smirks under the mask when you whimper not being able to stay still, "ah, what's that? too sensitive?"
your eyes finally open again, seeing him between your legs like that with head tilted to the side. and the mask. oh, this was making your head spin more than it already did. he looked so hot with only that fabric covering his face, the bracelet sparkling on his wrist as he moved his fingers up your inner thigh.
"i asked you once..." he towers over you again, his cock prodding against your entrance. "what is it turning you on so much, hm?"
you barely manage to choke out, "i don't know.."
of course you knew the answer already, but his ego would be boosted and you didn't want this. however, this time he needed to hear your response.
"you do know," his tongue clicks against the inside of his cheek, you were able to feel his intense stare even through the mask. "so? what is it exactly?" he moves his tip against your clit, the sensation caused you to let out another moan.
"i don't... fuck, i don't know, like, everything!"
"be specific, princess," he retorts. his curiosity overpowering all of his other senses, so he adds, "what 'bout this guy downstairs wearin' the ghostface mask, hm? was that makin' you wet?"
a frown appears between your eyebrows, "no."
"no?"
"no," you repeat, shaking your head. the next words were so quiet, chris barely heard them, "it's like... only working with you."
"fuck," he groans and in one smooth motion flips you over. his voice demanding, "ass up, face down."
you obligated immediately, arching your back, cheek pressed against his pillow. his cock painfully pulsing, begging for a release while he admires the view, your ass on full display. he smacks one cheek, relishing the sound echoing in the room.
"so..." he presses the tip against your entrance, teasing you with shallow thrusts, barely penetrating. "you're only a whore f'me? that's pretty interesting." he grips your hips tightly and eases back into you again with a low groan as you immediately suck him in. he was addicted. "bet you'd let me fuck you anywhere i wanted, huh?"
you're completely out of your mind when you nod, pathetic whines leaving your lips as he starts slamming into you again. "oh... c-chris.. so good— please..." you cry out, pressing your whole face into the pillows, wanting to muffle the noises that were constantly escaping you.
he smirks at your blatant neediness, "mhmm, so responsive..." he purrs, sliding in and out of your cunt at a leisurely pace, savoring the sensation. "you'd let me take you anywhere, anytime, hm?"
"mhm, y-yeah... fu-- oh, fuck—" you mewled, his fingers tangling into your hair and tugging your head up roughly, wanting to hear your moans clearly.
the room now filled with your whines and wet slapping sounds. "already had you on my desk, so what'd be next?" he pants. "in the shower? some empty class at uni? matt's car in the backseat? that's a little naughty, huh?"
you answer with a moan and a nod, eyes rolling back as you start coming again. "c-chris... too mu— fuckk..." a few tears going down your face. "m'cumming— chris, oh my... cu-cumming--"
"fuckin' dirty slut, cumming to the idea of me fuckin' you in public? jesus..." his hips stutter as he feels your body shook and tremble as you reach your peak. "that's righttt, come all over this big dick... mhmm, greedy girl, holy fuck-- milking me so well..."
chris continued his deep and fast pace, not caring about how sensitive you were. his hand left your hair, letting your head fall down onto his pillows as he focused on keeping your body still, since you clearly weren't able to do it. your pussy was clenching around him so hard, it was almost painful and he was closer to the edge now, knowing you're about to reach your another orgasm once again. so his hand sneaks under your body, finding your clit, the stimulation on your swollen bud and his hard thrusts was your last straw. letting out another high pitched moans as the pleasure washes over you, this time so much more intensely. your whole body is shaking when his dick twitches inside you, panting your walls with his seed with a guttural moan. but he can't even really focus on his own release, when the pressure in your stomach becomes too much and both of you feel the liquid squirting out of you in waves.
"fuck," he looks down, riding out your and his high, the sight makes his cock throb inside you, but the way your body looked just spent let him know you probably wouldn't be able to handle another orgasm.
his breathing ragged matched with yours when he pulls out of you with a pop, letting go off your hips which made you fully fall down onto the mattress. he takes off his mask, putting it aside and mesmerized looks at how his cum leaks out of your used hole. his sheets soaked with your release, he's in full shock that he made you do that.
he runs his hand through his messy hair, looking back up at you trying to catch your breath. "damn, kid, squirtin' all over me now?" he rasps, collapsing on the bed beside you, while you barely are able to shift on your side to see him. your tangled hair all over your face, sticking to your forehead, the makeup... well, there was like half of it left. he hated himself for thinking how good you looked fucked out of your mind like that.
"so you that type, huh? could've tell me i'd make you do it sooner."
"i didn't know..." you mutter, voice raspy from the amount of noises you'd et out tonight.
something flickers in his eyes, possessiveness, perhaps? satisfaction? you don't know, but he for sure felt proud, hearing he was the first one to make you squirt.
a little awkward silence falls between you two. your cheeks flush with embarrassment while he feels something strange in his chest. chris wasn't good at aftercare, he actually never even do it. the girls he slept with were always quick to clean themselves up and leave. that's what it looked like. and he also wasn't sure what you expected or if you already regretted what happened. because he regrets, but only the fact that you two did it so late. he was missing out on you a lot and now he knew that.
"uh, don' worry 'bout all that..." he mutters, sitting up and looking at his covered in your release sheets. and how his cum was dripping down your thighs. fuck. "it was hot as fuck, if m'bein' honest..." he runs his tongue across his teeth, meeting your eyes. "you good, yeah?"
your nod makes him feel slightly better and he gets up, grabbing a towel from the dryer and walking towards the bed, handing it over to you. he had no fucking clue how to act right now.
you finally sit up as well, moving the hair out of your face and taking the towel from him, silently starting to clean yourself up, avoiding to look at the mess you made on his bed. chris does the same and puts on his boxers and pants on, taking glances at you every two seconds.
"what?" not being able to take it anymore and pretend like you're unaware he's looking, you question him, staring back.
he just opens his mouth to speak when both of you get disturbed by a phone buzzing. he checks his and shakes his head, "not mine."
with a sigh, you point at your skirt laying on the floor. he quickly throws it in your direction and after you caught it, you pull your phone out of the pocket, seeing nick's name disappearing from the screen and adding itself to the multiple notifications you had from him, emma and matt. you hadn't heard their calls before at all for obvious reasons. you didn't think of it before, but now you realize that the last time your friends saw you downstairs, was with this random guy in the main room. then you disappeared without a word for who knows how long.
"nick was calling, they all texted asking where am i," you look up at chris, his blue eyes not leaving your form for even a second which makes you feel exposed as fuck. ignoring the wave of heat washing over your body, you quickly finish cleaning yourself up and puts on a skirt, after finding your panties and thighs ripped on the floor. "it, like, costed money, by the way."
he smirks, buckling his belt and putting on a shirt, "you weren't complainin' before."
"couldn't really think before," your tone dripping with sarcasm while you put on the other clothes, now standing up, grimacing at the big, wet stain on chris's bed.
"then don' think now either," he takes a step closer, grabbing your chin to force your eyes back at him. "i told you is fine."
"yeah, fine," you nod, slightly smacking his hand away. his eyes narrow at that, but expression stays unbothered, "your makeup is practically gone by the way, you might wanna fix that."
with a curse under your breath, you unlock your phone to check in the camera how you look and it was awful. no matter how drunk your friends already were, they're gonna immediately know that you fucked with someone.
chris sighs, "m'gonna go back downstairs first, in case they noticed that i'm gone too. you do your thing here or whatever the fuck."
with that he walks towards the door, looking over his shoulders as you desperately try to fix your makeup with your fingers as much as you were able to.
"'cause we're on the same page, yeah? to keep it a secret?"
another secret you've gotten yourself into. damn it. damn him.
"obviously," you respond and he nods, leaving you alone in his room with your overthinking.
a/n; someone needs to slap the shit out of him cause why can't he just cuddle her after 😪
YOU'RE MARRIED WITH WHO!?
ੈ✩ pairing: Solomon x Female!reader
ੈ✩ summary: Even though you were married to Solomon it was a big secret. But what secret is kept to the grave?
ੈ✩ wc: 628
ੈ✩ warning(s): pet names {darling}
Being married to Solomon was... something. You two were married even before the exchange program, but because of Solomon's many "enemies," you both agreed to keep it a secret. The only thing that connected you was your hearts and a pair of matching rings. They weren’t anything big or elegant, but they were special because Solomon made them himself, so they were very unique. You never thought something as little as that would expose you, but one day, something happened...
"M/C, you should let me paint your nails!! I just got a new nail polish, so I want to test it out," said Asmo while clinging to your waist from behind. You just wanted to get some snacks from the kitchen after a tiring day, but here you were with a clingy Asmo, and you didn’t want to be rude.
"Sure, but you have to make it quick, alright?"
Upon hearing this, without saying anything, Asmo let go of you and grabbed your hand to guide both of you to his room. As you sat on his bed, you remembered to take off your ring so Asmo could work a little more comfortably. But before you could take it off, Asmo appeared out of nowhere and grabbed your hand.
"Oh! What a cool ring you have," he smirked, before smiling for a moment. "Eh? I’m pretty sure I’ve seen this somewhere." After inspecting the ring for a while, his face lit up. "I know where I saw this! Solomon has the exact same one!!"
Your eyes widened, and you started to sweat. "But it’s probably a coincidence," you said quickly, but Asmo let go of your hand to look at your face. The moment he saw your expression, he smirked.
"Oh? Do you guys have something going on, hm?" he started to tease.
"Oh, uhm... no?" After your awkward response, you mentally face-palmed yourself.
"So, uh, can I see the nail polish?" you tried to change the subject, but it only made him smirk more.
"I see, I see. So, you guys are dating then?" he continued. "What a shame, I wanted t—"
He was cut off by your fast response. "We are married, actually."
His eyes widened. "WHAT!? I mean, it was pretty suspicious that you guys knew each other even before you came Devildom and were always together, but MARRIED?! HOW DID I NOT NOTICE EARLIER?!!"
You awkwardly tried to calm the beautiful man down. "Asmo, calm down, everyone is going to hear yo—"
"M/C AND SOLOMON ARE WHAT?!"
When you and the Avatar of Lust turned your heads and looked through the door, you saw wide-eyed Mammon and Levi.
"I- uhmm—"
While Mammon was staring at you, Levi took out his D.D.D. and started typing something.
"M/C and Solomon have been married all along LOLOLOLOL," he typed, pressing 'send.'
All you could do was stare at Levi with wide eyes. "Levi, you didn’t really send it, right? RIGHT!?"
Before Levi could respond, your D.D.D. started to buzz with lots of calls/messages from the other brothers, and you got your answer. It was going to be a long night for you, huh?
At midnight in the Purgatory Hall...
"Solomooonn," you said with a crying voice, hugging Solomon from behind. He startled because of the sudden contact but quickly returned to normal.
"What happened, darling?" he said in a calm voice, turning to face you.
You explained what happened, and for a split second, his eyes widened before returning to normal (he hadn’t heard anything because he was "cooking" all day). He chuckled.
"Don’t worry. It was bound to happen anyway," he said, kissing the top of your head. "Now now, I can finally show everyone how good a wife you are."
God, he loved you so much.
A/N: No warning, just comforting grumpy Levi.
“Shit, that feels nice,” Levi muttered, his voice barely above a whisper, though the usual steel in his tone was missing. His eyes were half-lidded, their sharpness softened by exhaustion. Rarely did he ever allow himself such moments of vulnerability, but with you (just you) it felt almost natural, as if the weight he constantly carried could be set down, even if just for a short while.
You smiled, a knowing glint in your eyes as you ran your fingers through his hair, something you’d learned he secretly enjoyed despite his protests. “You always act like you hate this,” you teased lightly, your tone playful, but affectionate. “But I know better by now.”
“Tch.” He clicked his tongue, his usual response to any kind of teasing, though the lack of edge in his voice betrayed him. “Don’t get used to it, brat,” he grumbled, his expression still fixed in that typical frown of his. But even then, there was something different in the way his shoulders had relaxed ever so slightly. “Doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate it, though.”
You continued with gentle, deliberate movements, your touch careful, knowing that someone like Levi rarely let down his guard. His entire life had been a fight, a constant battle for survival—first in the slums of the Underground, then against the Titans, and later against human enemies. His body bore the scars of countless battles, each one a reminder of the burden he carried.
“You’re really different when it’s just us,” you said softly, your voice barely above a whisper, aware that pushing too hard might cause him to retreat into his usual stoicism. “Softer, in a way.”
He snorted, a sound that could have almost been a laugh if it weren’t for the way he quickly masked it. “Softer, huh?” His eyes flicked toward you, narrowing slightly in mock warning. “Don’t go spreading that around. I have a reputation to maintain.” His voice carried that familiar gravelly tone, but underneath it, there was a rare warmth, something only you seemed to bring out in him.
You smiled at that, knowing full well how Levi valued his hardened exterior, the one that made him humanity’s strongest soldier. “Your secret’s safe with me,” you reassured him, fingers still threading through his dark locks. “But honestly, you should let yourself relax more often. You deserve it. If anyone does, it’s you.”
For a moment, silence settled between you, comfortable yet weighted. The tension that usually clung to him like a second skin seemed to ease, though not completely. Levi was someone who lived on the edge, always anticipating the next battle, the next loss. He rarely allowed himself to dwell in peace, because peace, to him, felt fleeting. Too fragile. Too easily shattered.
“It’s just… hard to switch off,” he finally admitted, his voice rougher now, as if the words had to be dragged out. “I’m always waiting for the next fight, the next crisis. Can’t afford to stop. Not when there’s still so much at stake.”
You nodded, your heart aching for him. For all that he’d been through, for the people he’d lost. Erwin. Hange. The countless soldiers under his command who had fallen in the endless war against the Titans. You understood why it was so hard for him to relax, why he felt that resting—even for a moment—was a luxury he couldn’t afford.
“But even you,” you murmured softly, leaning closer, “even humanity’s strongest soldier needs a break. You’re human, Levi.”
He scoffed, the usual harshness returning, though it lacked its usual bite. “Yeah, well, being human is a pain in the ass.”
You let out a quiet laugh, knowing full well how much he hated admitting to any kind of weakness, even if it was something as simple as being tired. But as your eyes met his, you saw the rare softness there—the vulnerability he never showed anyone else. Levi was a man who had spent his life hiding his pain, locking it away behind walls of indifference and sharp glares, but with you, those walls had cracks.
Leaning down, you pressed a soft kiss to his forehead, something that would have earned you a scowl if it were in front of anyone else. But here, in the privacy of this quiet moment, he allowed it. “You’re my pain in the ass,” you whispered, a gentle teasing lilt to your words.
For a second, the smallest hint of a smile tugged at the corner of his mouth. A real smile. Not the sardonic, bitter kind he sometimes gave in battle, but something more genuine. “Damn right I am,” he muttered, his hand instinctively reaching up to grasp yours, though he said nothing about it.
The room was quiet, save for the occasional distant noises from the outside—a world that never seemed to stop moving, never gave anyone a real chance to breathe. But here, in this small pocket of time, it was just the two of you, lying there in a rare moment of peace.
Levi shifted slightly, adjusting himself so that he could pull you closer, his hand resting on your back in a way that felt protective, possessive, but also… gentle. “Thanks,” he muttered gruffly, his voice low, but there was a sincerity in it that you didn’t hear often from him. He rarely let himself be this open, this honest.
You didn’t respond with words. Instead, you simply rested your head against his chest, listening to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat. It was a reminder that beneath the soldier, beneath the hardened exterior, Levi was still human. Still someone who could feel, even if he didn’t always allow himself to.
For now, that was enough. You could feel the tension in his body slowly unwind, bit by bit, as he allowed himself—if only for a short while—to rest.
Tomorrow, the world would demand everything from him again. But for tonight, he could just be Levi.
CRYBABY! - (E.W) PT3
pairing: mean/cruel ellie x sensitive/emotional reader.
synopsis: she’s the same ellie she’s always been.
a/n: am i building up tension so they can be genuine enemies to lovers? maybe…
why’d you have to make a record ‘bout me?
masterlist.
“what the actual fuck ellie?” you storm into the dressing room, startling jesse and dina, who’d been sitting on the couch. jesse jolts up to walk over to you but you jerk your body away and rush at the laughing girl. “you wrote a fucking song about me?”
“why are you so pissed?” she rolls her eyes. you take a deep breath before turning around to face jesse and dina. “can you guys tell her why i’m pissed? if i do she’ll be leaving with a disfigured face.”
“i’d love to see you try to fuck me up.” ellie chimes in. you’re about to turn and yell at her when jesse grabs your arms and leads you outside. dina shakes her head, walking towards ellie, looking displeased. the last thing you hear before jesse closes the door is ellie’s crude laughter.
“did you know she was gonna do that?” you furrow your brows. he shakes his head rapidly while pulling you in for a hug. “no, i’m so sorry. if i did i would’ve never let her onstage.”
you’re sobbing now. tears of embarrassment pooling from your eyes and onto his shirt. memories of the moment flash before your eyes. her ridiculous and crude lyricism. the smirk on her face as yours fell. her making it painfully obvious that she was singing to you. about you. and not in a good way.
jesse pats your back while shushing you, repeated apologies falling from his lips. he catches their manager walking by and calls out to him. “hold on i’ll be right back. i’m gonna talk to jace about this.”
you nod, slumping down on the floor as he walks away. it takes you several deep breaths to not burst through the door and bash her head in. then you hear her talking nonchalantly on the other side. “dina it’s not that big of a deal. seriously. she’s such a fucking crybaby.”
you’re reminded of the night you’d cried into ellie’s lap. the next day you showed up apologizing profusely with a new pair of pants for her. her telling you that it’s fine. inviting you in. offering you a snack. a bottle of water. asking if you wanted to watch videos with her about space.
how could such a sweet person be such a fucking asshole and barely show any remorse? how were you meant to just get over everything she’d done? how could you let that person kiss you? see you in your most vulnerable state? call you a crybaby?
before you know it, you’ve stormed back into the room. ignoring dina’s calm and soothing voice, to punch ellie in the face. you’re hyped on adrenaline until the pain settles in. your knuckles burning and her nose bloody. what had you done?
“i’m gonna fucking kill you. so you better choose your last words carefully.” blood was spilling into her mouth. the overflow of iron settling thick in her throat. dina steps between the two of you holding her hands up. “ellie, why do you always do this shit? your nose should be permanently broken from all the fights you get into. just let it go.”
“not too good to fight with me now, huh?” ellie talks over dina’s back. her words are muffled by her hand over her face. you hit her hard as fuck, and a secret part of you hoped it knocked some sense into her. the rest of you felt an overbearing sense of guilt. lashing out was her thing. fighting was her thing. blood was her thing. you had been trying so hard not to get caught up in all that. you even had hope that she was really changing for the better.
it seems you were wrong.
“i’m so-“
jesse bursts into the door, anger all over his face. he whispers something under his breath before looking up and taking in the scene. “fucking hell, what happened?”
you lower your face in embarrassment. “i don’t know what came over me. i’m so sorry ellie-“
jesse throws up his hands. “you know what, let’s not worry about this right now. we have to perform in five minutes.”
dina scrambles to grab her leather jacket off the couch and follows a frantic jesse out of the dressing room. you shake your head as you hear ellie burst into laughter. she’s hysterical, damn near falling out of her chair.
“jesus williams, what’s so fucking funny?”
“nothing—“ she chokes back more laughter attempting to speak. “it’s just— you know how to throw a fucking punch.”
𝐏𝐀𝐈𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆: Oscar Piastri x fem!reader
𝐒𝐔𝐌𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐘: Oscar asks you to attend an important event with him, and during this, secrets and moments are shared. HOT MOMENTS!!!
𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐒: my first smut so tread carefully. 18+, also kind of fluff, p in v, fingers do things, swearing, 1st person
★ 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 ★ 𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐭 ★ 𝐎𝐏𝟖𝟏 ★ 4.5k words (long)
A classic childhood best friends to lovers. This story is written in first person and includes thoughts of the main character:
y/n of course.
I know that I promised him. I know what I promised him. However, I also know that keeping this promise might very well leave me crying on my bathroom floor listening to Gracie Abrams's "I Should Hate You” later tonight.
You know when you agree to something so irrational and god damn stupid that you immediately know you’ll regret it? At the time, when he asked me, I thought: I should really start going out more anyways and, really, how bad could it be? Safe to say, if I could go back in time and strangle (maybe not strangle but slightly maim) those words out of past-Me’s mind, I'd be hopping in a telephone booth right now.
But, if that were the case, you wouldn't be hearing about this now, would you?
I guess some explanation should be given…
Cheesy movie-like-warping flashback to 2 months ago…
It was around noon on a blistering Thursday, at the Singapore Grand Prix. I had just shown up a little later than expected, and the sun had already given me a death wish. I was wearing a Mclaren cap and sunglasses, but I swear heat waves were emitting from my face. Dramatics aside, it was really fucking hot, and I wanted to find Oscar and get in the shade ASAP.
I probably looked stupid as I whipped my head back and forth like a crazy woman, trying to spot him. I dragged the friend I’d taken with me across the paddock, trying to locate the Mclaren Area.
Once I remembered it's the 21st century and I have a cellphone, I called Oscar.
“Yeah?” He answered after one ring.
“Ugh where are you? I’ve been looking everywhere…”
“I'm at the Mclaren-”
“Where?! I don’t see a wink of papaya.” My friend beside me gave me a pointed look because I was getting a bit aggressive because of the heat, but who cares? I NEED SHADE.
“If you’d let me finish my sentence, dork, I’d have told you It’s to the left of the entrance. It’s kind of hidden by Ferrari.”
“Okayyyyy…” I said while walking and looking around for what he was talking about. “walking there now. See ya.”
“See ya.”
I hung up and practically sprinted to where he said.
Once I caught sight of Lando a few steps away, I knew I was heading the right way.
“Lando!” I yelled. He looked up from his phone, eyes squinting and searching for the voice that called his name. He was wearing a nice outfit, no doubt because it was media day. Once he saw me he smiled and gave a short wave.
I tried to bring my friend with me, but they insisted on going to the Ferrari area instead since “Mclaren is enemy territory.”
I understood and let them go since I know how much of a die-hard Tifosi they are.
Once I reached Lando, I gave him a short hug and stood next to him in the shade. I was going to ask how the day’s been so far, but he spoke first.
“Wow, was it really that bad? What did you say?” Lando said, looking at me with concern. “Umm what?” I am very confused. Who? What? When where? Huh? “Lando. What are you talking about?”
“Well, you walked over looking kind of, i don’t know… mad? And now you're all red so I assumed that your guy’s conversation didn’t go down well.” He explained, still not giving me a better explanation.”
“Huh? What why? Wait. Mine and whose conversation?” I expressed my concern and confusion by waving my arms around.
“Oscar, dumbass. Who else?”
“I just got here. What are you talking about? Actually, I was going to see Oscar right now, but I thought I’d catch up with you, since I saw you first.”
“Oh! You haven’t seen Oscar yet?” Lando’s eyebrows raised up like a cartoon character in surprise. I shook my head. “Go over there! He should be by the interviewer's pen. And just ignore everything I said. Yeah?”
“I- ok?” Before I could say anything Lando walked away towards a group of people holding neon yellow merch.
I shook my head in confusion and then walked towards the interview pen. I spotted Oscar in a second, wearing a black Quadlock T-shirt, black shorts, an orange and blue OP81 cap, and the all-known backpack. His hands were in his pockets and he was nodding along to whatever the person next to him was talking about.
He caught sight of me and did a double take in my direction. Instead of immediately leaving his conversation, he kept nodding respectfully but while occasionally looking at me. The person talking to him must have realized he was distracted and let him go. Once he was free, he turned away and started walking towards me, a smile present like always.
“You good? You look a little sweaty?” He asked while laughing a bit and wiping the space between my eyebrows and hat with the cold handkerchief he was holding.
“No shit, Sherlock.” I answered and tried to wipe away more moisture with the collar of my shirt, to no avail. He just gave me the handkerchief instead of watching me struggle.
Once I was done, I looked at him and saw his classic amused smirk. I shoved his shoulder playfully and walked past him into the shade.
He directed me to a room with air conditioning. It had a couch, closet and other Oscar things- it was his driver’s room.
I plopped down on the couch, fanning myself.
He sat down next to me and once he did, I didn’t hesitate to drape my legs over his lap and lay back, exhausted.
We kind of sat there for a bit until he spoke up.
“So listen there’s this…”
When he stopped talking I opened my rested eyes and lifted my head to look at him. When I saw how flushed he looked, I properly sat up, moving my legs off of him and sat next up. Instead of asking what he was going to say, I just stayed quiet, knowing he would say it when he wanted to.
“I have a question for you. You can say no, but I figured I’d ask you since you're my closest friend and I’d be more comfortable if you were there.” He said quickly.
(Hi. Future-me here. I’d have told you what him saying “friend” did to my heart, but I haven’t explained that part yet.)
“Ok, I’m all ears!” Who says that? Is that an actual saying? Why am I nervous?
He laughed a bit at that and continued talking. “So, are you up to going to this team gala thing in November with me, ‘cause I need a plus one and I don’t think I could get an actual date at that time.”
So, 1. Actual date? What's that supposed to mean? And 2. What does he mean he couldn’t get a date when he looks like that?
(If you didn’t get that: I find Oscar very attractive.)
“Oh, um…” I started.
(Waaiiiittttttttttt)
“Well, I guess. I mean-” I stuttered.
(Anddddddddd)
“Sure. I’ll go with you.” I finally said.
(There it is. The worst mistake: I agreed to go to this stupid gala with him.)
Present
After I agreed to go to the gala with him, he brightened up and the look on his face made me excited to go, at the time. Now, however, I’m standing in my room, in my dress, chewing my nails and thinking over any type of excuse I could come up with.
Over these past 2 months since he asked me, we’ve gotten closer.
We’ve been hanging out more, and doing things that have made me feel like maybe he reciprocates my feelings.
Oh! By the way, I’m in love with my best friend, Oscar Piastri, but you probably already gathered that.
This Gala is making me nervous because of how intimate it sounds to go as Oscar’s date and social gatherings haven’t been my favorite either.
So, now I’m racking my brain on anything I could say to get out of this.
Right as I debate pretending to fall ill, my doorbell rings.
I take a deep breath, grab my purse and my shoes and make my way downstairs to answer the door.
Once the door swings open, I’m hit with cold air from outside, but a shiver makes it’s way throughout my body for a completely different reason.
Oscar’s standing there, wearing a black suit that fits him way too well. He’s wearing a burnt orange tie to match my dress and is holding flowers. His face is tinted pink from the cold and his hair is messy in a “yeah I styled it, but in a rockstar-messy-sexy way.”
We both looked at each other in silence, checking each other out with no guilt. His gaze broke from me first and right as I was trying to imagine what his torso looked like under his shirt, he cleared his throat. I looked away quickly and smiled at him warmly. He had his signature smile-smirk that made me want to grab his face and kiss it off of him.
I withheld from any of the inappropriate actions flooding through my mind, no matter how many, and instead let him in.
He walked in and stood in the entrance across from me.
“It’s 7, and you’re not even finished getting ready?” He asked, grabbing my heels from my hand and lifting them up.
“Yeah, well, to be honest I’m kind of nervous.”
Instead of asking why, he just nodded his head in a 'yeah me too' way.
He set the flowers down on a table nearby and started kneeling.
“Oscar, come on.” I tried to lift him up by his jacket, but he just playfully swatted my hand and continued. He lifted one of my feet slowly and began putting my shoe on for me.
Safe to say I am very much enjoying this, and might just internally combust.
Once he put both shoes on, he looked up at me, still kneeling. Instead of getting up immediately, he just looked at me for a bit and me him.
There was something burning and overly intimate about this: us looking at each other. He slowly got back up and stood in front of me at his normal, towering, height. The change in his position did not stop our gazes.
He looked serious now. Not the usual, playful, best-friend Oscar. Something different....
“You look beautiful.” He spoke in a low, gravely way that made my insides warm.
I looked down, blushing like crazy.
He looked away, a new hard expression on his face, and opened the door for us both.
“Thankyou for the flowers.” I mentioned it quietly, afraid of this blooming tension.
He just nodded and led me to his car.
When we reached the gala, my nerves still hadn’t settled. In Oscar’s case, he didn’t look relaxed anymore. The whole way here, he kept stealing glances at me. I tried to understand what he was thinking but his expression wasn’t giving anything away.
We walked into the building together. His head was on the small of my back, and since the dress was backless, his pinky was very close to grazing the top of my underwear. My back was burning from his touch and it’s all my mind was on. As we walked through a ton of people, I never thought about anything other than Oscar’s hands, and what they would feel like anywhere lower.
Welcome to my mind: the place where Oscar’s hands have supremacy over any valid thought process.
I imagined him gripping my hips and pulling me close. Rubbing my arms, touching my face, lightly brushing my lips with his fingers, slowly touching my thigh.
But then his hand left my back, and my surroundings faded back into reality.
We reached an area where people were mingling by an open bar. I'm going to need a drink to get through this.
Before I could get a drink to filter my emotions, Lando found us.
“Hey guys, thank god you're here.” He said. He was wearing a nice navy suit, and any girl would fawn over him. Except, next to me was Oscar, and he looked so incredibly handsome that I couldn’t take my eyes off of him to spare Lando anymore than a glance.
“Hey man.” Oscar fist-bumped him awkwardly and I gave him a small side hug.
“You guys are kind of late, but that’s okay because everybody figured you guys were doing-” Lando didn’t finish whatever he was going to say and instead gave a horrible wink.
I didn’t understand what he was saying at first but then Oscar made a comment,
“Mate, come on.” Oscar looked annoyed with Lando and rolled his eyes. I blushed when I realized and scoffed at Lando’s attempt to make a joke.
“Yeah, sorry. It’s true though.”
“Lando.” This time i scolded him.
“Sorry! Anyways, you’re a bit late so you missed the introduction but I'll summarize. There’s going to be an open bar, a raffle, dancing and mingling. The raffle's for some car but we don’t get to participate...But he wants us to either talk to these fancy people and find sponsors or dance.”
I winced a bit, not at all excited to do any sort of talking, let alone business talking.
Lando walked away towards a pretty blond woman, going to do God knows what and left us to decide what to do with these instructions. I thought hard about how much I do not want to talk to strangers and instead blurted out: “Let’s dance.”
Oscar looked at me quickly in confusion. “What? You hate dancing. Remember the school dance where we sat at the table the whole night because of how petrified you were of dancing in front of everyone?”
Yes, of course I remember. Right now, though, I’d take anything over sponsor-mingling.
“I'd do anything to not have to follow you around to make conversation with these people. So, let’s look busy and dance.”
Oscar agreed and took my hand.
His hands, good lord. We found a spot and situated ourselves in a normal dance position.
His hands were on my waist, and I held mine around his neck. I did whatever I could to not make eye contact. Instead, I watched as couples around the room held each other closely and danced to the music, looking very formal.
“You good?” Oscar asked me in a whisper. He tilted his head down to speak right next to my ear. He was very close to my face, and when I moved to look at him and answer, our noses brushed. I jerked away a bit at the touch and just nodded. I held him closer and rested my head on his chest. My heart was beating out of my chest. He was breathing slowly and deeply near my face.
Our closeness, his voice, his touch, my heart, and the collection of everything that’s happened over these last two months were gathering to the front of my mind.
I needed to say something.
“Oscar.” I whispered, finally making eye contact with him.
His gaze was sharp, darting between both of my eyes.
“Yeah?” he asked softly.
We were slowly moving to the music, and he was leading effortlessly. Even though dancing in a crowd was one of my worst nightmares, I wasn’t scared at all. All of my emotions were focused on the man holding me. My best-friend. My childhood crush. My Oscar. I needed to tell him how I felt. Tonight.
“Can we go somewhere private?” I asked nervously. His eyes got intense and his jaw moved. He looked around the room, and without asking why, he took his hands away from my waist and held my lower back, moving me through the dancers.
He didn’t know this building and neither did I, so it took us some time to find somewhere, but eventually we found a room filled with plants. It didn’t look like an indoor garden at all. Instead, it looked like plants that originally decorated the building and were stashed in this room for the night, to make room for Mclaren decor. The green made the room weirdly beautiful and the arrangement of vases were Louvre-worthy.
Oscar closed the door behind him and turned to me. I sat on the edge of a table that was in the middle of the room and hid my face in my shoulder, suddenly scared and regretting this very much.
Oscar and I have always been able to tell when something was bothering the other. So, whenever one of us caught that look on the other, we never pressured them to say anything. Instead, we waited in comfortable silence for the other to say what they wanted. Asking somebody what’s wrong over and over or pressuring the anwer out of someone never works. So, we wait. Wait until we’re ready.
That’s what Oscar was doing. He was waiting for me to speak up, but I could tell the silence was eating at him this time. So, I spoke.
“Listen, I’m just going to say it. I don’t know if this is going to change our friendship, and I really don’t want it to. If it’s weird, just ignore it and we’ll pretend this never happened, ok? I don’t want you to leave my life or stay away forever after this.” I said quickly, looking at my feet dangling from the edge of the table.
Oscar didn’t respond at first. I looked up trying to catch an emotion but I had no idea what he was thinking.
Instead, he stepped closer to me. He got so close that his thighs were touching my knees.
“Nothing you say could ever keep me away from you.” He said, looking at me with sincerity and an intensity that could have someone on their knees in a second.
I just nodded and cleared my throat.
“Ok.” I nodded again, trying to get the words out.
“Oscar, I-” My heartbeat was in my ears and suddenly any nerves fell away as I was cut off. Oscar stopped me from talking by softly grabbing my neck and bringing my face close to his. I fell silent and instead admired our shared breaths. Our noses were touching and with one lean, I could be feeling Oscar’s lips on me. I don’t know what he wants. Is he going to kiss me? A few seconds later, Oscar moved his head a bit. He grazed my lips with his, but we still weren’t kissing yet. All of my emotions were on high, I needed him. Now.
I took the last space and smashed my lips on his. He inhaled deeply into the kiss and immediately started moving with me. His lips were soft. Softer than I’d imagined.
His hand that was on the back of my neck brought me closer to him. Our lips were only touching. We're not properly making out, but somehow, it was the sexiest, most intimate thing I’d ever felt. Oscar used his other hand to move my knees apart so he could step between them. As soon as he moved closer, a heat burst in my heart. I grabbed the front of his jacket with both hands and pulled him into me. He started moving his lips, dragging my bottom lip between his teeth in the most sensual way.
I gasped in the air and fluttered my eyes at the feeling of finally kissing Oscar. Oscar was kissing me back and it was more than I could have ever imagined in the steamiest of dreams.
He kissed me like it was the break of dawn, and he was fulfilling a dream he had about us. I heard the unsteady breathing between us both and every nerve of mine was on fire.
Oscar placed a hand on my thigh, grazing his thumb across the soft skin. He made a deep noise–a growl?-and said against my lips, “Me too, dork.” He could only mean that he agrees with what I was going to confess.
“Wait, you didn't even hear me.” I whispered, moving to rest my forehead against his.
He chuckled and it made me shiver in a way that made me want his whole weight on me. “I’ve known you my whole life. I kind of figured, well I hoped, that’s what you were trying to say with the warning you gave about ‘not wanting to ruin our friendship,’ so I had a hunch and took it.”
I smiled and opened my eyes to look at him. “Im glad.”
“Yeah?” he whispered, then angled his head to kiss along my neck. I was going to reply but only a sultry moan escaped my lips. He sucked in a short breath at the noise and started to nip further down to my collarbone and back up to behind my ear. I ran my fingers through his hair, gently pulling and playing with the strands. He licked the warm spot on my throat and then abandoned my neck.
“Listen, I know this is extremely inappropriate," I looked at him, praying to any romantic gods that he says what I need him to say. "but I really need you right now. I think I’ll go insane…” He kissed me again, this time not hard but inviting and slowly. My mind was going haywire from his confession. He seemed so confident, and his touches and movements only seemed to validate the truth of his wants.
I pulled back and made sure to look him in the eye when I said: “Please, yes.”
He growled again and latched our lips and hips at the same time, dragging me closer to him. He was still standing between my legs, while I sat on the table. I was grasping at his hair, then down to the nape of his neck where I pulled him again. I couldn't get enough of him.
He slowed us down again and started to take off his jacket. Then, he got down on his knee to take off my shoes.
What kind of irony is it that he’s doing exactly what I imagined him doing when he was putting them on.
After the shoes, was his tie, then I undid the buttons of his shirt. I wasted no time feeling his toned abs with both hands. We kissed for a little longer, not being able to leave our mouths alone for long.
What’d you expect? Its years of mutual longing, of course, we’re making it last.
Finally, all that was left between us was my bra, and our underwear.
He was incredibly hot and I needed to feel him closer. I didn’t want a barrier between us anymore. In seconds, the last pieces of clothing were gone and our bare bodies were feeling everywhere.
He slowly pushed me back onto the table and the coldness of the wood made me shiver. Then, he lifted my legs to bend and rest on the table as well.
I couldn’t see him completely but I felt him.
His fingers, the ones I’d daydreamed about minutes ago, touched my inner thigh. I heard him let out some unintelligent words as he got closer to where I needed him more than the entire universe.
“Oscar,” I gasped, telling him my needs.
Then, in a flash, I was brought back up , and facing Oscar again, sitting up. I let my legs drop off the table and Oscar held me close to him again.
“I need to kiss you. I need you close.” I melted at his words and moaned when his hand crept back down. Our mouths unlatched but slayed near each other.
“Good god. Is this all for me?” He asked, finally dragging his fingers through my wetness. His fingers push into me, thumb stroking. “All me?”
I nod and this makes him start to stroke and pump. Every feeling in me is being dragged in and out by his hand, making me spiral. Every touch is amplified, making me move with him, over and over. He adds another finger, and I can't hold it anymore. Just a few more and I’d have reached bliss. The bliss was going to have to wait though.
“Osc.”
“Yeah?”
“I’m going to come.”
I hold in another cry at the sight of his naughty smirk. “Good.”
Instead of coming alone, I clumsily reach for him. Once I find the heavy heat of him, I close my hand around it and feel how ready he is. I shift up so he can line up.
He moved his fingers to grp my thighs.
He groans deliciously as he finally sinks in, and that sound tugs at something lovely and warm inside me.
The relief of him, thick and hungry, sliding deep in and out of me could cause a cosmic reaction. Stars are bursting, my skin could be glowing. By god, If the world was ending around us, I’d stay here with him. Our bodies, finally being together, creates a fire in my bloodstream.
I whisper that I never want to stop.
He groans how there’s no way this is real.
I want to keep him here, he never wants to come, never wants to let go.
I'm already reaching my high, and our expressive, frantic love-making gets me there with a few more thrusts.
I go, he follows. I finish, he’s still following.
The world feels quiet as we make noises that rival the movies.
In the silence that follows, I feel our heartbeats and hear our mixed breaths.
He kisses me, but it’s so lazy and slow. We have to keep breathing deeply between kisses.
I shift to disconnect but he stops me, and he brings me into him, hugging me. Our sweat and skin feel each other in a warm embrace. He's still inside me.
“Holy shit.” Oscar says into my hair. “Never leave me.”
What did we just do?
How have we gone this long without doing this?
I'm going to need it in every part of my life from now on- to live.
“Oscar, I’m in love with you.” I say, after everything.
He smiles and lifts my face to look at him. “Well I mean, you did just say it like over and over-”
“Oscar, I'm serious.” I lightly smack his chest. I love how after everything we’re still the same friends and lovers that tease each other.
“I love you too.” he kisses me short and sweet. The kiss suddenly grows again. And leads to more. And more.
After we rushed to put on our clothes after realizing how long we were probably missing, we made our way back to the gala. We didn’t stay long, both scared someone would see us and figure out the obvious, and wanting to be alone again somewhere more private.
We almost made it, when Lando stopped us both. I was going to make up some bullshit excuse, but instead of saying anything, Lando held a hand up, then gave the most horrendous wink and let us pass. Idiot.
✦✧✸✧✦ 18+ MINORS DO NOT INTERACT ✦✧✸✧✦
Monday rolls around and you’re still uneasy. You wake up for work and let your body move on autopilot: get ready, eat breakfast, drive to work. Typically you feel refreshed when you go through the routine, but lingering thoughts from Friday’s encounter paired with the anticipation of work has your mind racing.
What is going on? This is completely unlike you. You’re composed, calculated, you always have a plan. But now it seems like all of that has gone out the window.
You try to rid your memory of your mystery man but it doesn't seem to shake. You can’t help but recount your thoughts:
✦✧✸✧✦
“So much for no strings,” he mutters, almost to himself. “This is gonna be harder than I thought and we've only just begun.”
You internally sigh—scared that you might agree.
You bury the thought with a quick reply as you switch positions to climb on top of him, “The only thing that should be hard right now is your dick, and the only place your dick should be right now is my mouth. Let’s warm you up for round two, shall we?”
“You’re a goddamn vixen, aren’t you?” he rasps.
You skim your fingers from his chest and to his lats, using the ridges of his body to guide you down before settling near his manhood. You slip off the condom and he takes it from you—tossing it into the waste bin next to the bed.
You polish off the remaining liquid off his tip causing him to shudder from the overstimulation.
“Fuck—oh. Fuck that feels so g—”
✦✧✸✧✦
“—Good? Excuse me?”
A voice sends you back to reality as you realize you’ve made it to the elevator of Zenin Tech. In the opposite corner of the cramped space, a man is staring at you, his eyes are dark and direct.
“Hey, are you good?” he repeats, his tone steady.
“Huh? Wha—yeah, I’m fine,” you stammer, refocusing your thoughts and trying to ignore the heat rising to your face.
“I didn’t mean to bother you—but you didn’t press a button. Which floor?”
“Oh, right. Nine, please.” You glance at the panel, realizing the button is already glowing. Odd. You’ve never seen him before.
He gives you a soft smile before leaning back against the railing.
The ride to the ninth floor stretches on, each passing second weighed down by the heavy silence of the elevator. But that’s nothing new. What is new, however, is the man across from you.
He’s tall—broad shoulders and a lean frame that seems effortlessly composed. His jawline looks like it was carved from marble, and his dark, shoulder-length hair casually falls back, leaving a few stray baby hairs to perfectly frame his face. He has a scar over his nose and his eyes are deep and unreadable. There’s something about him that tugs at you, a force so intense you’re afraid of slipping into a place you know you shouldn’t—like desire.
Maybe this man is the kind of distraction you need, you half-heartedly hope. Sometimes all it takes is one good fuck to reset your system.
From the opposite side, you see one of his arms pinning a file box to his side, while the other has a firm hold on his laptop. You find yourself gesturing toward it as an icebreaker.
“Are you one of the new members from CurseCore?”
When his eyes meet yours, they give you nothing but his undivided attention. He pauses, taking you all in and wondering if you were a gift sent from the gods. He doesn't break the connection immediately, letting the silence stretch just enough for the tension to thicken between you. Little do you know, he’s also trapped in a memory of someone he’s desperately trying to forget.
The corner of his mouth quirks up—not quite a smile, but enough to catch your attention. “Yeah, Pleasure to meet you. I’m Choso.”
You tell him your name, though it feels like a formality—your mind is too preoccupied with the sound of his voice. I’m Choso. The richness rings with a strange familiarity that you can’t quite place.
Choso tries to extend his hand to shake yours but the box slightly fumbles. “Sorry. I’d shake your hand, but I’m a little tied up here.”
You laugh lightly, the sound cutting through the awkward tension. “No worries. I’m sure we’ll have plenty of chances to meet again.”
He glances at you, his lips forming that same restrained smile. “I look forward to that.”
The heat in your core begins to simmer before the elevator dings, pulling you both back into focus as the doors slide open.
Choso steps out and immediately a hoard of new faces flock to him, forcing you to weave to the sides. A wave of chatter fills the entryway.
"Where do we set up our laptops?"
"What’s the Wi-Fi password?"
“Are desks first come, first serve?”
“How do we pick up our ID badges?”
You almost step in to give the new guy a break, but his voice cuts through the noise before you can utter a word. “Everyone, relax.” The word hangs in the air like a command, and almost instantly, the buzz fizzles into silence. He scans the crowd with a steady gaze. “Let’s take this one at a time,” he continues, his tone calm yet authoritative.
You watch him—proper, composed, and directing the newbies with calm precision. Every gesture is smooth, controlled. His focus is laser-sharp. There’s a confidence in the way he moves, like he’s been doing this for years, but there’s also something irresistible that keeps pulling you in.
A friendly voice pops up behind you. “Whoa, the new guy can tame me like that any day” Yuki says, her eyes fixed on him too.
“You know, if we weren’t good friends you would be a walking HR complaint,” you joke with her.
“Can you blame me though? He’s gorgeous.”
You let out a snicker, because you can’t help but agree. Not only is he gorgeous, but assertive too. It’s not every day that you come across a man who can take charge without coming across as a self-absorbed dick (ahem Naoya). As the thought begins to fade, you know that somewhere deep down, Yuki is right— you’d love to let him tame you too.
You both walk past the flood of people, but your sight remains secured on Choso. In the sea of bodies, he catches your eye. Most would look away, but you both hold the stare, just for a moment—like a silent, playful challenge meant only for two. He can’t hide the subtle flicker in his gaze as it drops briefly to take in your curves. It’s a look that’s equal parts fiery and possessive, the kind that whispers I want to devour you .
The thought makes your heart beat out of your chest, causing your cheeks to flush. You break the gaze first, eyes darting away.
“Choso,” you whisper under your breath, as if your daydream has swept you away.
“What’d you say?” Yuki’s voice pulls you back.
“Choso,” you clear your throat. “His name is Choso,” you answer—returning to your composed self.
“Choso,” she repeats, as the pieces fall into place. “Oh yeah! The manager from CurseCore. They say he's the full package—cool, calm, professional. I’ve heard he runs his team with this… almost zen-like efficiency. Super smooth. The kind of guy you can't help but respect.”
You feel your stomach drop at the realization. Great. So this is the guy who’s gunning for your promotion. Unfortunately for you, Choso is the perfect little corporate robot. Even worse, given Naoya’s history, you’re certain he’s already made up his mind.
Yuki blabbers on, “They say everyone loves him, but what they failed to mention was that he’s also a fuckin’ heartthrob.”
“First off, HR. Second off, how do you even know all that?” you ask.
“Well, you would know that too if you joined any of our Friday Happy Hours,” she teases.
Ah, right… the mere mention of Happy Hour makes your chest tighten. Sure, they’re filled with harmless office gossip, but one too many drinks could lead to one little slip that could unravel everything. You’ve worked too hard to keep the lines between your two worlds from blurring—and you’re not about to let happy hour small talk be the thing that blows it all apart.
"Hard pass," you say, keeping your tone light, but there’s an edge of finality to it. "I have better things to do than waste my time schmoozing up to Naoya."
Yuki smirks knowingly. "Okaaaay, but you know that schmoozing will help you get your promotion. Don’t think I didn’t put two and two together.”
Her words cut through you because you know she’s right.
A self assured smile wipes across her face. “And who knows, with the two teams merging, maybe we’ll get to see a little more of Choso, " she adds, nudging your shoulder.
"I think I’ll survive," you reply, though her sentiments echo in your head. You can’t help but wonder if skipping out has truly cost you an edge with Naoya—especially now that Choso is in the picture."
Speak of the devil. Naoya appears from around the hall and calls the whole team into the conference room. As you migrate to the room, you see windows lining opposite sides. The exterior windows face the gorgeous view of the city. The interior windows face the common area of the office. After everyone packs into the room, Naoya clicks a button that instantly turns the glass from clear crystal to an opaque frost—obscuring the view beyond it. The iconic click is always a sign that the meeting is in session.
“Alright, let’s get started,” Naoya began, his tone sharp and authoritative.
In the far end of the room, you notice two voices coming from a pink-haired man and a redheaded woman, both unfamiliar and completely oblivious to Naoya’s growing irritation. From the opposite end, you hear Choso clear his throat and turn his head ever so slightly to the giggling pair.
He doesn’t say a word. He doesn’t need to.
The look he gave them was surprisingly soft, but still unwavering, a silent command for order. The chatter instantly dies with the two culprits shrinking under his gaze. After the tension dissolves, Naoya picks up where he left off.
From your seat, you can’t help but watch Choso, your eyes lingering on the quiet power in his demeanor. It’s not just his composure—it’s the effortless way he commands respect without ever raising his voice. You hate that it stirs something in you.
You notice the way he leans back in his chair, effortlessly exuding confidence as one arm drapes over the armrest. This position allows you to see the subtle flex of his bicep. Your eyes trail down his arm until your view jumps to get a glimpse of the muscles on his thighs. Dirty thoughts fill your mind when you think about what lies in between.
Wait, stop.
Your attraction goes head-to-head with your instincts. He’s competition, you remind yourself, shifting in your seat to refocus on the meeting. Remember: he’s here to climb the same ladder as you, and if you lose focus, you might as well hand him the next rung. You didn’t claw your way this far to let a pretty face throw you off balance.
Keep your head in the game. Keep your emotions in check. And definitely don’t let anyone, no matter how charming they are, shake your confidence.
After Naoya concludes the meeting, Choso approaches you as everyone else gathers their things, his presence quiet but commanding.
“Hey, I didn’t realize you were the other manager. I think I should properly introduce myself this time,” he says, extending a hand. His voice is the type of rich that makes it impossible to ignore him.
You tilt your head, your lips curving into a neutral smile. “No need, I got the gist earlier,” you say, nodding at him but ignoring his hand. “Welcome to the team.” You weave past him and walk down the hallway towards your next meeting.
He promptly follows you down the hall, confused. “Forgive my assumptions, but did I do something wrong?”
You stop to face him, when you realize how much he towers over you. You tilt your head only to find that your eyes land straight on his lips. Focus.
You sigh. “Listen, it’s no secret that we’re fighting for the same promotion. What you don’t know, but I do , is that you have a 99.9% chance of getting it. So until I am satisfied with the fact that I’ve given it my all, you and I are enemies.” You return to your route, hoping to leave this conversation as soon as possible.
“How do you—” trails behind you before keeping up with your stride. “Nevermind. Being enemies is a bit harsh to start with, don't you think? We’re all on the same team here.”
“We are for now—at least until you get promoted.” You hesitate. “Then I’d have to work under you.”
His brow raises, as a devious smile spreads across his face. “I can assure you being under me wouldn’t be the worst thing .”
The thought makes your core swell. Without thinking you drop your guard. “But you see, Choso… I’d prefer to be on top —professionally speaking.”
You’re steps away from the meeting room but he stops you just short of the doorway. “Hmm. that’s a very appealing offer, I accept.” he teases. “Shall we sort out an arrangement over dinner?”
You catch a glimpse of sincerity in his eyes. Is he actually trying to make a move or is this all just for show? You can’t help but feel your cheeks flush. Though his confidence sends butterflies to your stomach, you decide to stay true to your resolve.
“Let me be clear—If you want to talk about work, you can schedule some time on my calendar. Otherwise, you should know that I have no interest in mixing business and pleasure.” As the words leave your mouth, you immediately start to wonder if you’re gonna regret your decision.
“Very well,” he playfully concedes, but the spark in his eye tells you that it’s far from over. As he takes a step to unblock your path, you feel the warm sensation of his fingers wrap around your waist.
You’re close enough to breathe in his cologne. It’s a known fragrance that you can’t quite place, but smell instinctively triggers a rush of liquid in between your legs.
He lowers himself until his breath dances around the tip of your ear. His whisper is low enough for only you to hear, “For the record, I have no issue being under you, on top of you… or even inside you ” he clears his throat before returning to his normal posture. “—professionally speaking, of course.”
His remark left you speechless. You hesitated before finally replying, “I’ll file that under ‘things to pretend I didn’t hear.’”
He retreats back into the hallway as if he didn’t just drop a bomb on your heart. “I can say it again if you’d like,” he quips back.
You shake your head in amusement, trying your best to hide your smile. “Goodbye, Choso.”
“See you soon.” He turns his back to continue walking, tossing his hand in a casual farewell.
You step into the meeting room, unable to wipe the stupid grin off your face. For the first time in two days, the uneasiness you’d been carrying around was nowhere to be found, leaving you to wonder what caused it in the first place.
✦✧✸✧✦
“Back up…he did WHAT?” Yuki blurted out in pure disbelief.
You winced, glancing around to make sure no one heard her outburst. “Shh, keep it down.”
After your final meeting of the day, you and Yuki decided to hang back in the conference room a bit longer so you could tell her what happened.
By the looks of it, she could barely contain her excitement. “Sorry, but this is huge. I can’t believe he actually tried to ask you out.”
You mentioned the dinner, but conveniently skipped over the specifics—for obvious reasons.
“Okay so when’s it’s happening?”
You look away, ashamed to tell her. “It’s not happening”
She grabs your face with both hands and turns your head back to get your attention. “What do you mean it’s not happening?”
You swipe her hands away and groan, rolling your eyes. “You know he’s my biggest competition right now and I can’t afford any distractions.”
Yuki gives you a pointed look, leaning back in her chair with a smirk. “Please. You think letting him chase you will distract you, of all people? If that’s the case you’re selling yourself really short.”
Leave it to Yuki to be your ultimate hype woman.
“You know you’re smarter than that. I’m sure you can handle a little fun and still crush it at work.”
“But—” you start, but Yuki cuts you off.
“No but—you’re overthinking it. He obviously wants you. And you’d be crazy to not want him, so why not go for it?” She leans in, her voice softening. “Look, you deserve a little excitement. You’ve already been working your ass off. Don’t let this slip away just because you’re scared to have a little fun.”
You know she’s right but you don’t want her to hear it.
You don’t need to say it though because she already knows. “Plus, if he likes you enough, maybe he’ll just give it to you,” Yuki adds.
A puzzled look forms on your face. “Ok, What does that mean?”
“You know…he falls madly in love with you, heroically declines the promotion and tells Naoya that you should get it instead. It happens in all the books and movies.”
You pause, shocked at the mere possibility of that thought. That goes against everything you’ve ever worked for. “Yuki, that’s messed up. I don’t want to get it because some man says I can have it. I want to get it because I deserve it.”
She leans back in her chair with a shrug. “Hey, I’m just saying—crazier things have been done for pussy,” her tone is easygoing.
You laugh as you get up from your seat, “Ok, I think this is my sign to go home.”
After Yuki waves goodbye, you head back to your desk to gather your things—hoping to catch Choso before he leaves for the day. No luck. He’s already gone. As you put on your coat, your conversation with Yuki replays in your mind. Are you really going to give him a chance? Every longing ache in your body screams yes, but your mind stubbornly says no.
I mean, what’s the worst that can happen when you have a little fun?
You reach the elevator just in time, sliding your hand between the doors just before they close. Stepping inside, you catch your breath when you see Choso standing there.
He leans his tall frame casually against the wall, one hand shoved into his pocket, the other holding a phone he doesn’t seem to be paying much attention to. His dark eyes flick up to meet yours, and in an instant, the air feels heavier. There is a faint hum of people packing up for the day, yet it seems deafening in the silence between you.
Your heart pounds erratically, a war drum echoing in your chest as your mind scrambles for something to say. Anything. But your tongue is heavy, and all you can do is step further inside, keeping your gaze fixed him.
The doors close with a soft thud, locking the two of you in the confined space. The proximity, the tension—it’s suffocating, exhilarating. You can feel his presence pulling your focus no matter how hard you try to resist.
He finally breaks the silence. “Hmm. You weren’t lying earlier when you said we’d have plenty of chances to meet,” he teases.
You smile at him, remembering your first encounter from the morning. The weight between you seems to lighten. “I’m sorry about earlier,” you manage to get out. As an act of truce, you extend your hand and say, “I think I’d like to properly introduce myself this time.”
As you tell him your name, he can’t help but keep his focus locked on you. The fire in your eyes ignites him as he tries to press down every filthy thought that runs through his mind: What do you taste like? What do you feel like? What do you sound like when I make you moan?
He subdues his thoughts just enough to say, “Pleasure to meet you. I’m Ch—”
As he looks down to return your handshake, he pauses—his eyes widen in disbelief. He notices three delicate stars placed between your thumb and pointer finger. He hadn’t meant for it to linger in his mind, but now, it’s all he can focus on.
Memories flood him and he remembers the softness of your skin when he pressed his lips on it, the way your fingers would glisten with wetness when they slid into your pussy, and especially the way his hands guided you towards an earth shattering release. After replaying those moments in his head, he knew he would recognize those hands anywhere.
His filthy thoughts resurfaced, causing a tightness in his jeans. What do you taste like? What do you feel like? What do you sound like when I make you moan? He didn’t need to wonder because he already knew.
When your hands finally meet, there’s an unseen electricity that charges between you. “Well, fuck,” he chuckles with amusement. “Isn’t this a pleasant surprise.”
“Huh?” The warmth between you settles but you tilt your head while your brow furrows in confusion.
He slightly tightens his grip on your hand to pull you closer and the air begins to thicken. You’re inches away from his face and the heat of his breath sends shivers down your spine. Before you know it, His other hand slides securely to your waist, his touch beginning to feel alarmingly like second nature.
“Choso—?” His name barely escapes your lips before instinct takes over. Your eyes flutter shut, drawn to the overwhelming closeness of him. In the dark all your senses heighten. You notice how the smell of his cologne seems to fill every crevice of the elevator. Then, in an instant, your eyes shoot back open as the revelation hits you— spiced and earthy, just like the one from a few nights ago.
Stop, wait. It can’t be.
He delicately brings your hand to his lips and the familiar warmth of his kiss tightens the coil in your center. In this moment, the rumble of his voice is absolutely unmistakable, "Hello, my little vixen. I didn’t expect to see you again so soon.”
C'mon, Really? Look, Just, Let Me Help You!
Humans: We need to have a talk about your secret war plans against us.
Aliens: W-what? No, that's not it, how-
H: Our intelligence operative are very good. Don't pretend these [throws folder on the table that scatters hundreds of pages of classified documents all over] aren't yours.
A: F-Fine! Yes! We made plans about how we should fight you if we ever got into a war. We admit it! What do you want?
H: Huh? No, what I'm trying to say is, why do your plans suck?
A: Err... what?
H: Yeah, compared to our plans and war games, you don't seem to utilize all the advantages you have against us. There's not as much coordination and specialization of forces as we expect in our simulations. What gives?
A: You've lost me.
H: Look, every civilization should run military simulations against EVERY existing party, not just the ones you're natural competitors, or ones you see as antagonistic. Hell, while we were "vanished" our military literally had nothing else to do and spent a solid 200 years making up every kind of scenario against every single potential power we might end up encountering once we "reappeared".
Honestly, there are so many things we are shocked about once we got our hands on your plans, I legitimately don't know where is the best place to begin.
Okay, for starters, why don't any of your plans include making use of our superior technology? It would work, we tested it as well. We built a scale model of one of your capital ships, plopped one of our fusion reactors in and BAM, shields and weapons instantly became on par with our Destroyers, and could even do some serious damage to our Dreadnoughts (for a few seconds before our counterattack vaporizes it, but that's besides the point), so we know your technology is fully capable of handling us.
A: For the millionth time, we are not using unstable power sources that could totally blow us up at any point!
H: It is safe! Those things only have a 0.002 percent chance to fail, and a one in six hundred thousand chance of THAT resulting in an explosion. We've only had twelve incidents the entire time we've been using them.
A: No.
H: Well you ain't winning a war against us with that attitude.
But anyway, one other thing your plans never do is blow up Earth and irradiate the shipyard orbits, what gives?
A: That's an abominable crime against, well, EVERYTHING!
H: Weak. But okay. One other thing though, and this one is just baffling, your deployments and gathering locations are always in the most obvious and convenient places. Those are, no joke, where we would place recon units and prepare ambushes the moment we even got a hint of a whiff of hostility from you. How come you never seem to account for us expecting you to do the obvious and pre-emptively counter that. And inversely, you never expect us to not be in the logical places where we should be.
A: I think my head is spinning from that. What?
H: Reverse psychology? Predictive behavior, or whatever it's called, not a psychologist. If you want to win against your enemy, you have to think like your enemy first.
You look dizzy. I know it's a lot to take in, but we'll guide you through this. Think of it as homework. After we have a more thorough meeting on this subject, we'll wait and let you figure things out back in your secret HQ's. But, if the plans we acquire later still won't account for the things we discussed, we'll be very disappointed.
Robb Stark*Honey Cakes
Pairing: Robb x f! reader
Word count: 1830
Part Two to Cloak however can be read as a stand alone
Warnings: reader being jealous, secret relationship, but mostly just pure enemies to lovers’ fluff
Masterlist Here
At thirteen you despised Robb, more than anyone really, so why is it know you were sat down the table for him trying desperately not to stare at him? Your parents had originally tried to broker a marriage pact between you and the Stark however due to your mutual hatred of each other that plan fizzled and died. No one even knew you liked the boy. Well apart from Robb.
“You look beautiful tonight,” he whispered in your ear, his breath tingling the nape of your neck as he leaned down so no one else would hear as he walked out the room behind you.
Sansa glanced back, raising an eyebrow when she saw the warm flush on your face, but you managed to wave her off. Instead of letting him torture you any longer you grabbed her arms, “Shall we go see if the kitchen has any spare lemon cakes?” you asked, and Sansa quickly grinned in agreement.
You sat in the kitchen with Sansa for a good couple hours, laughing and gossiping about all the people at Winterfell. “Well apparently Alice, you know that Manderley girl. Well apparently, she has a crush on Robb,” Sansa said, gagging at her brother’s name.
Your eyes widened but you soon covered it up as Sansa grimaced about someone potentially liking her brother, “Who told you that?”
“Jane,” she said, picking at the crumbs left of the cakes you had both scoffed, “Apparently, she was hanging around the stables waiting for Robb so she could ask for help getting on her horse. Bit desperate if you ask me. It’s not like Robbs anything special,”
“Huh that’s so weird. It’s not like Robbs dumb enough to fall for that,” You did your best to act natural, but you could see Sansa’s eyes narrowing. “Well, you’d hope anyway,”
“Yeah,” Sansa said, her voice trailing off for a moment, “Then again according to some of the ugh boys,” she said, shuddering meaning you knew she was talking about Theon despite also knowing she had a major crush on him, “he’s had some…women at his room,”
“Oh?” this time you couldn’t not sit up straight.
“Yeah, but he wouldn’t tell anyone who. Theon thinks its some,” she paused to lean in and whisper, “whore,” she said, her eyes whipping around the room, “from the village,”
You sucked in your breath, trying hard not to either find Robb and kill him or cry, “He doesn’t seem like that kind of man,”
“That’s what Jon said but then who was in his room?”
“When was it?” you asked as if you wanted to break your own heart.
That was until Sansa said it, “Last Sunday,”
Fuck. Last Sunday after not being able to sleep and being too afraid of the nightmares to come you turned to Robb for some kind of comfort. Nothing happened but you did sleep in his chambers and then he helped you sneak back at first light. “How strange,” you muttered before trying to change the topic, but your mind still lingered on how good Robbs morning hair looked.
The cook eventually grew tired of your whispering and threw you both out the kitchen. Instead, you went to Sansa’s room to practise your needle point then eventually trudged back to your own room. When you entered your chamber, everything seemed normal. That was until you saw the honey cake sitting beside your bed with a note.
“I tried for lemon, but someone had eaten them all” – it read, making you laugh at the note. You sat on the bed, picking up the cake and smiling at the single wildflower he’d sat beside it.
-
The next morning you arrived at the dining hall before any of the stark children. Your parents were sat with the ned and cat at the head table, so you ended up plopping down in an empty seat and a near by table. “Morning,” an unbelievably smooth voice grinned as Robb sat himself in the seat across you.
“Morning,” you said as you tried hard not to smile too largely back. “You’re almost as sweet as that honey,” you said, lowering your voice.
A faint blush covered his cheeks, “But not as sweet as you,” he said but as he opened his mouth to speak a gritty, irritating, annoying voice spoke up.
“Good morning, Robb,” came the sing song voice of Alice who you had never thought annoying until last night.
Robb barely glanced over his shoulder at her as she walked off, “Morning Alice,” he said as he turned his attention back to you. his eyebrows squinted at the now stoney look on your face, “What?”
“Nothing,”
“Cmon tell me,”
“It’s nothing,”
“Tell me, tell me, tell me, tell me, tell me,” Robb rapidly repeating, grinning wider at each jab.
You sighed, “Fine. Its just,” you sighed again, “she has a crush on you,”
His face froze for a moment before he burst into absolute laughter, “Oh the gods,” he laughed, clutching at his stomach as both of your parents began to stare.
“Quit it!” you whispered, slapping at his head.
“You’re jealous,” Robb laughed, thankfully quieter, as he swatted your hand away, “Aw honey that’s adorable,”
“I’m not your honey,” you grumbled, “and I’m not jealous,”
“Am not,”
“Are too,”
“Am not!”
“Are too- “
“Youd think by now you two would grow up,” Sansa yawned as she sat beside you, and you were both forced to act like nothing happened.
-
Later that day, for no other reason you swear, you decided to go riding soon after you overheard Robb suggest the idea to Jon. Sansa was thankfully in lessons meaning you quickly changed and heading down to the stables.
“Robbie, could you help me- “Alice began to say as you walked in however, she hadn’t seen you.
Robb however did, “Oh hey!” he greeted, walking past Alice who now wore a deflated look, “Oh sorry Alice, Jon can you give her a hand?” Jon went to step forward, but Alice muttered something about her parents before turning and leaving. “Huh, weird,” Robb half grinned.
“You wanna come riding with us?” Jon asked you as he began to fix his own saddle.
You glanced at Robb before nodding, “Yeah sure lemme get my saddle ready first,”
“I’ll get it,” Robb said, moving to grab it before you could stop him.
Jon laughed and rolled his eyes as he finished his own horses’ reins, “So at what point are you two love birds gonna admit it,”
“Admit what- “
“Save it,” Jon rolled his eyes, “He stinks of your perfume, and you’ve accepted his help in the history of well ever,” he said as he flung his arm around your shoulder, “Aw sister,” he teased as he ruffled your hair.
“Fuck off,” you grumbled as you escaped his grip and tried to fix your hair.
However, Robb walked past and laughed, “Adorable,” he grinned as he kissed the top of your head before fixing your horse. It was actually nice to be able to be open about not hating Robb as you three went around the gods’ woods. However, after a very pointed look from Robb and a lot of teasing from Jon he finally decided to throw Robb a bone and go back himself.
“Are we ever gonna tell anyone we don’t hate each other anymore?” Robb asked, ruining the perfectly good conversation about how gorgeous he thought you looked today.
You grinned at him, “Who said I don’t hate you anymore?”
“The feelings mutual,” he laughed as you finally returned to the stables. “I’m just saying would it be so bad,” he asked as he jumped off his horse, quickly moving to help you down. You swung your leg around, so you were sat sideways on the horse. Robb moved to grab your hips, lifting you down. Your arms went to his shoulders to steady yourself.
“I don’t know. I mean maybe…” you started to say but trailed off as your feet hit the ground, but Robb didn’t step back. His warm breath fanned your face, tickling your cheeks. His hands moved slowly to the small of your back, pulling you in closer till you were flush against him. His lips were only a fraction away and it only took a couple seconds till you felt them brush against yours. you couldn’t wait anymore as you pushed up, closing the final gap.
Sure, you had been flirting all week, but this was your first kiss with him, and you melted into it. if his hands were not on your back you may have collapsed. Just as your hands went into his hair, which was unbelievably soft, you heard a gasp.
You pulled back to see Sansa standing in the stable doorway. “You’re the whore?!” she asked, shocked before her cheeks flushed red, “I don’t mean- “
“Sansa!” Robb half bellowed, turning round ready to tear his sister a new one when you grabbed his arm.
His head span round to face you and you mentally made a note to remember how good he looked with his jaw tensed, “Theres’s back story, I’ll explain later,” you said before turning to Sansa, “It’s not what you think,”
“You were kissing my brother!”
You sighed, “Okay it’s kind of what you think,” you said as you walked closer, “but not as bad as you think,”
“Oh?” she paused before her eyes widened, “Oh! Ew!” she grimaced. “That’s so weird. I thought you hated him,”
“I did but,” you paused, looking at Robb who smile down at you. you reached for his hand which he gladly accepted, squeezing yours lightly, “it’s different now,”
Sansa gagged before turning to Robb, “if you hurt her. I will kill you,”
“Aren’t you supposed to say that to her? you’re my sister,” Robb said incredibly.
Sansa paused for a moment before realisation dawned on her, “Oh you’re going to be my sister one day!” she began to celebrate. You laughed at her as she jumped into your arms but made no effort to stop her, “Do our parents know?”
“Not yet,” you said as you pulled back from her grip. “Let us tell them know,”
Robb nodded as he pulled you over to his side, draping an arm around your shoulder, “Yeah. I get to brag about her first, not you,”
“No fair,” Sansa pouted but Robb ignored her as he looked down at you with a dopey smile.
“Can’t wait to tell everyone you’re mine,” he said softly, leaning back down for another kiss which you gladly accepted.
“Oh, gods I can’t,” Sansa shivered as she quickly left however you just laughed before turning back to Robb.
Your arms found their way back to his shoulders as his found the small of your back, “Now where were we?” you asked.
Robb smiled, leaning down slowly, “Somewhere around here,” he whispered before his lips fell back onto yours. how could you hate him now?
Staring at The Sun
Roronoa Zoro x gn! Reader
wc: 1k
warnings: none
Zoro is in love with you. It scares him more than any enemy he’s ever faced.
Zoro is in love with you. It doesn’t come as a shock to him, but it consumes him in a way he didn’t think possible. His love for you becomes as much a part of him as sword fighting. He is as loyal to you as he is Luffy and if you asked he would throw himself upon his own swords.
You’d never ask that of him, naturally. It probably wouldn’t even cross your mind.
He’s scared of his love for you. That, too, isn’t a shock. He’s scared that one day, you’ll get hurt and leave him, just like Kuina. He’s scared that he’d hurt you, too. And he’s scared of you finding out that he’s in love with you. He thinks that scares him the most.
His love for you is locked tight in the center of his chest, buried under his innate need to protect those closest to him. Zoro thinks that’s the perfect place for it, where no one could ever find it.
Right now, you’re asleep on his shoulder, sitting with him in the crow’s nest. You look peaceful like this, the moon bathing you in its light.
Zoro wants to throw up at his own thoughts. He never imagined he’d be this cheesy when he fell in love. He sounds like the fucking cook.
He jostles a little and you wake up, eyes bleary. “Huh? What?”
“Nothing, just moved my shoulder.”
You yawn and he hates how cute he thinks it is. “Sorry for sleeping on you.”
“Eh, I’m not doing anything anyways.”
You smile softly at him, eyes shining. He thinks, not for the first time, that when you were created they put the sun in your smile and the stars in your eyes.
“Is it dinner time yet?”
“Just about.”
You stretch, getting ready to climb down the ladder. “You coming?”
He waves you off. “In a sec, make sure Luffy doesn’t eat it all before I get down there.”
You give him a mock salute that’s followed by a wink. “You can count on me. I’ll defend your food with honor.”
Zoro rolls his eyes but watches you go, heart feeling heavy in his chest and his shoulder still warm from where your head was resting.
***
It's a few days after this that his feelings start getting too hard to ignore. They no longer want to be shoved in a box and stamped with ‘return to sender.’ It seems every spare moment alone with you has Zoro biting his tongue when the I love yous want to spill out.
It wouldn’t be so bad if he wasn’t alone with you all the time. It’s never annoying, he’d never think that about you, but it makes his brain go haywire.
You’re so….he can’t even begin to describe it, but he knows that every time you smile at him it seems to steal the breath from his lungs. It makes him want to kiss you.
Your fingers are snapping in front of his face. “Did you hear me?”
“Huh?”
The smile on your face is soft, even as you roll your eyes. “I asked if you would go into town with me tomorrow.”
“Oh. Sure. Plan on getting something that needs heavy lifting?” His grin is cocky.
You laugh. “No, but if I did I’d ask Nami for help, not you.”
You both laugh at that, even though you probably mean it. Hell, he would too.
Quieting down, you suddenly looked shy. “No, I wanted to look at the gifts they have.”
“Gifts? Who for?” Did he forget a birthday?
You put a finger to your lips. “Nosy. It’s a secret.”
“Fine, fine. Whatever you say.” Zoro is burning with the desire to pester you more, but he’ll let it go for now. For now.
You yawn and stare at the sky, as if you’re checking the time. “It’s getting late. Goodnight, Zoro.”
And then you kiss his cheek. It’s scalding. His face is burning.
He stammers out a lame goodnight as he watches you walk away.
***
The market you go to the next day is bustling but not crowded enough that he’d lose you in it. Not that he could, with the way you’re holding his hand.
You chat with every shopkeep you stumble across, giving them that blinding smile every time you bid them goodbye, but still, you don’t find the gift you’re looking for.
Each time you walk away from a stall empty handed you seem a little down. He wonders why.
The fifth time this happens, you sigh in defeat as you sit on a bench.
“What’s got you down?” He asks, taking a seat next to you.
“I’m trying to find-“ you turn away, suddenly shy, mumbling the rest to yourself.
“Huh?”
“I wanted to find something for you. For your swords.”
The confession takes him by surprise, his heart feeling like it could burst out of his chest. “Like what?”
“You complained the other day about running out of oil for your swords. I thought it would be a good gift.”
“Well,” he says, “there’s still one more stall.”
You smile and like always, it’s like staring at the sun. “Okay.”
***
When you hand him the oil a few days later, he pretends he had no idea about it, just to make you laugh or smile again. He thinks of you every time he uses it.
Eventually, history repeats, and you’ve fallen asleep on his shoulder in the crows nest again. Like always, Zoro is left staring down at you, looking at you like most would stare at their subject of worship. The love in his chest no longer scares him, he’s no longer scared that your discovery will cause you to leave.
He knows that if he tells you he loves you, that you will say it back. He may not know a lot, but that he does know. Knows it the same way he knows that he will spend his life protecting Luffy, knows it the same way he knows that he will be the world's greatest swordsman.
So when you open your eyes to blink blearily up at him, he leans down to capture your lips with his own. You smell and taste like the sea, and it seems like the two of you stay interlocked like that for eternity, the spell only broken when Sanji calls for dinner.
Grinning, you stand and stretch. “You coming?”
He grins back. “In a sec.”
FAMILIAR STRANGER | chapter four
what's gonna happen when you find out about your enemy's biggest secret?
ghostface!chris x enemy!reader
chapter three | chapter five
— warnings; smut with plot, dom!chris, sub!reader, oral (m!receiving), pet names, bratty reader, cursing, - english isn't my first language.
~~~
to say that you had your head in the clouds for the next two days would be a misunderstanding. you tried to focus on studying, but your thoughts always ended up around chris and what happened in your room. you couldn't believe you lost control like that. and that you didn't regret it.
keeping what happened a secret was harder than you thought. you couldn't deal with your own thoughts, needing advice, but not being able to tell anyone about what had happened. emma would freak out and you'd never hear the end of this, nick and matt... well, they're chris's brothers after all. so you were on your own in this matter.
besides, everyone thought you and chris hated each other. because that's how it was after all... right? hate with a little... physical attraction that had grown over the years.
that's it, nothing more.
you were putting books in your locker after finishing all your classes for today, the college hallways almost empty. so lost in thought, you didn't even notice someone sneaking up behind you and leaning against the locker next to you, until you closed yours, seeing chris with this stupid smirk of his.
you jumped in place, clutching at your chest, "oh my god, chris! do you want me to have a heart attack?!"
"wouldn't mind," he replies, quickly checking you out, so you did the same.
he wasn't wearing anything special, his favorite camo pants, a black long-sleeved shirt, a few curls sticking out from under his backwards cap. still, he looked disgustingly handsome.
both of you return to eye contact at the same time, chris clears his throat, "so... you have somethin' that belongs to me."
"really?"
"yes, really," he crosses his arms over his chest. then adds in a lower tone, "my mask."
"oh... right," you remember. "but, uh, it's at my place..."
"good. let's go get it," he pushes himself off the lockers, ready to go get his thing with you. to your apartment. alone. you couldn't get alone with him, and let, who knows what, happen again. you had to regain control.
you stop him by wrapping your fingers around his wrist, both of you feeling the same electricity course through your body at the sudden touch. "i can bring it to you before class tomorrow," you offer, he stares at your hand around his wrist, which makes you let go off him.
chris scoffs, moving his eyes back up to yours, "you wanna bring it here?"
"i'll be careful..."
"nah," he interrupts, shaking his head. "not riskin' it like that. let's go do it now."
"no."
"why not?"
"just no."
"but why, huh?" he repeats, taking a step closer. his eyes glistening, "you scared to be alone with me now?"
"what? that's... that's ridiculous."
"is it?" he runs his tongue across his teeth. "'cos i think s'true. you don' wanna get alone in a room with me again."
his words were like a punch in the gut, because it was true. the thought of being alone with chris in a room again was terrifying. not knowing, if you would be able to control yourself or if something would happen between you two again, was freaking you out.
"i'm not scared of anything," you say, adjusting the bag on your shoulder and crossing your arms. "it's just not the best idea."
"you weren't sayin' that while moanin' my name."
your eyes widen, "you promised not to bring this up—"
"i didn't promise you shit," he smirks, tilting his head to the side. "in fact, i think i won't ever shut up 'bout this... is kinda hard to forget, y'know—"
"chris," you mutter warningly, feeling your cheeks starting to heat up, but it didn't stop him.
"--the sounds you were makin', or how you'd taste... like, so sweet and..."
"chris!" you slap his arm, causing a chuckle to escape his lips. "this isn't funny."
"kinda is," he keeps grinning, clearly proud of himself. "relax a lil' bit, hm?"
"stop talking about that," you point your finger at him, but he just shakes his head with a smirk.
"nah, i think i'll keep talkin'..."
you raise your eyebrow, "yeah? wanna keep talking? let's talk about how you came in your pants."
the smirk fades slightly from his face, his eyes narrowing as he stares dangerously at you. "s'not fair, that was not my fault... stop lookin' all proud of y'self, kid."
"then who's fault was that? definitely not mine, i didn't even touch you."
"a'ight, but you were sittin' on my fuckin' face, yeah? it was enough," he rolls his eyes, looking around uncomfortably, but there was no one in the hallway except the two of you. "whatever. i don' have to go to your place... but m'not lettin' you bring it here either, so?"
you think for a moment, also trying to ignore his intense gaze. "i'm seeing matt and emma later, so i could give it to him behind her back somehow."
he scans your face, the wheels clearly turning in his head, until he finally nods, "fine. let's do it your way."
with that, without another word, chris walks away, adjusting the hat on his head. you let out a breath, not even knowing you were holding any.
—
later that day, chris was rolling a joint at his desk when he heard a knock on the door, soon seeing nick and matt walking inside.
he spent almost an hour with them, talking about bullshit, when nick finally went to the bathroom, giving matt a chance to take the ghostface mask out of his backpack and give it to chris, who immediately stuffed it under his clothes in the closet.
matt, who chris had told a few days ago, that you know about his little secret, looked at his brother intensely, "and why was this at her place?"
chris's body tensed but played it off with a smirk, "just wanted to check if she's gonna keep her mouth shut."
"and what did you do?" matt questioned, causing chris to roll his eyes.
"you always assume the worst from me..." his grin widens. "didn't have to do anythin' 'cos she won't say shit. i made sure of that."
"how?"
"not your business," chris leans back in his chair.
"chris..." matt gives him a stare, "she's my friend, that should be enough f'you to trust her."
"i don' trust her," he admits bluntly. "but i do know she's gonna keep quiet. that's the most important f'me."
"i know she will, 'cause no matter what you think of her, she's not a two-faced bitch. and she cares 'bout us."
"she cares 'bout you and nick," chris corrects. "but s'fine with me as long as she keeps her mouth shut."
matt sighs in annoyance, knowing he won't be able to change his brother's mind anyway. chris runs his tongue across his teeth, leaning his head back, "did she, uh... she said anythin'?" his tone too casual. "when she gave you my mask back."
"oh, yeah," matt nods, a little smile playing on his lips. "she said that next time you leave somethin' at her place, she's throwing it to the trash."
"actually?" chris raises his eyebrows amused, then scoffs, trying to hide it. "she's, like, insane."
"who's insane?" nick asks, walking back to the room and flopping on the bed next to matt, who quickly communicated nonverbally with chris.
"y/n," matt admits, chris giving his brother a warning glare.
"oh, what did she do now?" nick asks with a small smile, looking at chris. "i heard you annoyed her bad, recently."
he raises his eyebrow, "me?"
"yeah, you, moron, who else?" nick rolls his eyes, getting more comfortable on the mattress. "you pissed her off so much, she accidentally called me by your name when she was mad."
chris nearly chokes on air, "what?!" nick nods, finding the situation funny, while chris felt like he was dreaming. you never, ever, confused the triplets, even at the beginning after just meeting them, you had always been able to tell them apart and never confused their names before. "how?!"
"i gave her my drink and she said 'thanks, chris'," nick shrugs his shoulders, unaware that this was a big deal. though matt was looking at his brothers, listening carefully, and slowly connecting the dots.
you finding out about chris being a ghostface killer, him 'taking care' of it, then leaving his mask at your place and now you calling nick 'chris'? something was definitely up. matt just didn't really know what it was yet.
"so?" nick waits impatiently, "what'd you do?"
chris asks instead, "when was that?"
"i don't know, like, two days ago?"
two days ago, when chris would climb through your window, to ask if you said anything to nick, because he's been acting weird. and you said no. chris now knew it was a lie, you literally got their names mixed up.
chris had a million different thoughts at that moment. how did it happen that you confused his brother' name, who was your bestfriend, with his name? was it because you were thinking about chris so much, or were you actually annoyed and it slipped out of emotion? to be fair, he's been pissing you off a lot, so he wouldn't be surprised if you accidentally called someone his name, when you were angry. though it never happened before, and it happened a week after the first kiss, so maybe you felt as strongly about it as he did? and did you also think a lot about what happened in your room two days ago or not really?
it's not like he cared, but his mind wouldn't shut up.
chris eventually comes back to reality, realizing his brother's are staring at him, waiting for some kind of explanation. clearing his throat, he simply says, "yeah, i pissed her off a little. nothing new, y'know. can't even blame her for mistakin' our names."
it was enough for them to change the topic, though chris's mind swirled only around you for the rest of the evening.
—
days passing and chris was losing his shit, at night not being able to stop thinking about how it felt to have you sitting on his face, or the fact that it made him cum in his pants, something no girl had ever managed to do to him before. he was glad that you're unaware of that fact, your ego was definitely high already.
it was finally friday, meaning a themed birthday party at the frat. everyone was excited, the house was decorated and ready, but chris was pissed off, walking into his room and slamming the door behind him. he went downstairs for two minutes, just to find out that some of his stupid frat brothers decided to dress up as ghostfaces to show the killer that they aren't afraid of him, honoring jake's memory in that way. chris was annoyed that they were so stupid. but he couldn't do much, so he kept quiet.
it was like that for the rest of the evening, chris tried to ignore his friends' stupidity, focusing on getting drunk and laid quickly. he was just standing in front of the house with a few guys and some blonde girl glued to his side, smoking joints, totally engrossed in the conversation until he saw you and nick arriving. his breath catches in his throat when he sees your costume. a mini jeans skirt, black crop top revealing a lot of your stomach and cleavage, a short, white puffed jacket and sexy red tights. as you walked closer, making eye contact with him, he could notice your lipstick slightly smeared, some fake blood added to your makeup, neck and cleavage. you were dressed up as fucking jennifer check, and you looked hot as fuck.
you both felt yourselves tensing up in the brief moment you looked at each other, electricity running through your bodies. chris felt like he was in a trance until you walked inside the house, breaking eye contact. that's when he returned to earth. he'd still be aware where he was, surrounded by a group of his friends, the girl next to him clearly trying to get his attention, but his mind was on you and how bad he wanted to rip your clothes off you. which was insane when he realized his own thoughts.
meanwhile, you half heard what nick was saying, being on another planet due to that non-verbal interaction with chris. however, it feels like losing all of your senses, when you see a ghostface in the hallway right in front of you, with a red cup in his hand. and then another one next to the other. and a few more entering the main room of the house.
"what the fuck?" nick's voice blurry as you both look around in confusion, his concerned eyes finally meeting yours. he didn't want you to get triggered or anything. your ex boyfriend got killed by a ghostface after all.
though that wasn't the reason why you froze. all these 'ghostface' guys looked strangely familiar. they immediately reminded you of chris and what happened between the two of you, since you found out about his secret. and how were you supposed to have fun at this party now?
"bunch of idiots," you snap out of your thoughts, looking at matt dressed as batman, who appeared out of nowhere, giving you the familiar glance. he also didn't like that a few random guys dressed up as something that chris was keeping a secret. "let's go get a drink, emma is waitin' for you both in the kitchen."
so you quickly find yourself there, taking shots with your friends, who were being all careful with you, but nick and emma for different reasons than matt. he was just as irritated by these people's stupidity as you were. you wondered what chris thought about it and why he didn't do anything.
after a while, chris walks into the kitchen, wordlessly joining all four of you and taking a shot. nick and emma were busy talking about something, matt immediately whispered something in chris's ear and got a nod in response. both you and chris, couldn't break the eye contact once again, which started to irritate you.
you finally spoke, loud enough to be heard through the blasting music, "no costume is a little boring."
chris smirked, looking down at his all black outfit and back at you, "i prefer minimalist."
"could've go as a ghostface," you say bluntly, leaning against the kitchen island right next to him and crossing your arms. matt was observing both of you nervously.
something in chris's eyes flicker dangerously as he takes a sip of his beer that you didn't even notice he had in his hand. "bet you'd love to see me in that," he leans in, making sure only you hear the next word. "again."
him referring to how turned on you were after seeing him in a mask makes your blood boil. you hated that he knew it had some effect on you. chris didn't know exactly how bad it was yet, but he was ready to find out. soon.
"no, i'm good, thanks," your tone drips with sarcasm as you push him away. a low chuckle escaping his lips as he shakes his head in disbelief, "if you say so, princess."
"where's your chick at?" you ask casually. a frown appears between his eyebrows, "who?"
"this blonde girl i saw outside with you and other guys?"
the realization makes him smirk, "oh, her? i dunno...not like she's important anyway..." he tilts his head to the side, lowering his voice enough for only you to hear. "what, you jealous?"
the eye roll you give him, only makes his grin widen. "please, be serious for once in your life."
"y/n, another one?!" nick's loud voice reaches your ears, interrupting your interaction with chris, so you turn around, just as nick passes a shot to you from the other side of the kitchen island. you smile, taking the glass, "thanks, nick!"
in one second you feel chris behind you, his breath tickling your ear, "no mixin' up our names this time?" his words make your hand freeze halfway to your mouth, your heart speeding up, but before you could even somehow explain or defend yourself, chris leaves the kitchen. you could swear he had the biggest smirk on his face.
you blink slowly, fingers tightening around the glass, feeling embarrassed that chris found out about this. you were sure it was nick who told him, obviously. you wanted to hit your head against the wall, but know you couldn't make a big deal out of it, since it was... nothing. just an accident. mixing up their names has happened to many people, maybe never to you, but there always had to be this first time.
it didn't mean anything. right?
the conflicted feelings, the embarrassment and the inability to forget how good chris made you feel a few days ago, or the fact that you thought about it every day, every night, all the fucking time, craving more, it all was making you pour alcohol into your system like water. you knew this 'more' between you and chris could never happen. like ever. at least it wasn't supposed to.
it all came down to the fact that you were sitting on some guy's lap, who was dressed as a ghostface. the two of you just talking, flirting heavily, your hand running up and down his arm, his on your waist. you didn't really know what you were doing, you just had to convince yourself that it was only the mask that turned you on and not chris in particular.
however, it was not working. you knew the boy who was under the mask, he was from your math class, quite nice, helped with your assignment once a while ago. but he wasn't turning you on at all. his ghostface mask made you feel no emotion other than annoyance. even letting him touch you a little didn't cause any tension in you, and no shiver passed through your body like it did when chris was the one touching you.
you tell the guy that you're going to the bathroom and will be back soon, he just nods, so you quickly get off his lap. though instead of the bathroom, you go to the kitchen, immediately taking two shots. you needed to get absolutely drunk if you were going to stay with this guy for the rest of the night, and you had to do it until you finally feel what you felt with chris. there was no way he was the only one who made you feel so many things at once, and you had to prove it to yourself.
chris, who couldn't focus on anything or find anyone who would be a good one to take to his room, was watching you all night. every move you made, he saw, even if you didn't necessarily know about it. when he noticed you with this guy, he was so pissed off, not understanding what you were doing. did you want him? not like chris gave a shit, but how dared you resist him, but want this stupid guy? that's what it looked like and it felt like his ego got punched. so he did something stupid and put on his ghostface mask, blending in with the other few guys with the same costume.
you feel large hands on your hips from behind as you take another shot, looking over your shoulder, you're able to only see the mask, assuming it's the guy you were with just moments ago. he grabs your hand and starts to lead you out of the kitchen, then upstairs. you raise your eyebrows, pushing through people, not thinking that this guy would follow you to the kitchen or that he'd immediately take you to his room. you didn't even know what to do, but that's what you wanted after all, to see if someone else could replace chris's name, which had been stuck in your head for over a week, with their own.
he locks the door behind once you two are in his bedroom. a bit of mess on the desk, empty cans and some joint butts. he stands behind you again, the heat of his body makes you shiver. it was so... strangely familiar.
"and why am i here?" you ask casually, looking around the unfamiliar room, as he comes from behind to stand in front of you and that's when you notice this big photo on the wall next to you. a photo of two people you recognize immediately.
chris and nate.
you knew nate, seeing him with the triplets a few times, he was their good friend. so it was chris's room which meant he was standing in front of you...? but he didn't have a mask before, which confused you, but you're quick to hide it, looking for more details. such as a bracelet on the wrist.
yeah, it was chris.
he obviously didn't answer, clearly not wanting you to recognize him, even if he wasn't trying hard enough. "so...?" you start, deciding to play this game and see if he's gonna finally tell you it's him. taking a step closer, you tilt your head to the side, running your long manicured nails down his chest, causing his heart race to quicken. "anything i can help you with?" your hand stops at his belt.
you were teasing on purpose, already knowing that chris was standing in front of you. playing along with this little game of his, you felt your blood boil at the thought that he was doing all this, probably thinking you're stupid or a slut, like everyone else were thinking, and that you'd fuck some random guy without seeing his face. and unless chris is a dick, he won't let you do what he thought you wanted to do, when you were sure he was someone else.
so you drop to your knees, grabbing his belt and looking at him through your long lashes with a smirk, while chris's head is spinning at the sight of you like that. even better than he'd imagine before.
not like he did... maybe a few times.
your hands were in the middle of undoing his belt when he grabs your wrist. his voice annoyed and aroused, "get the fuck up."
chris takes the mask off, throwing it aside and meeting with your stare. you're pissed off too, but you also don't feel like getting up so with a simple shake of your head, his pants are pulled down.
"what the fuck are you doin'?" his body tenses when he feels your delicate fingertips through his boxers. he was already half hard.
"how does it look like?"
"you high or what?" he questioned, shocked that you're not kicking his ass yet, when he clearly pretended to be someone else for a few minutes.
"no, just annoyed," you answer, stroking him through his underwear. a hiss escapes him, "you? annoyed?" his chest was rising and falling deeply, clearly trying to stay in control, but the sight of you on your knees in front of him in that costume of yours, had him mesmerized.
you nod, "mhm."
"you realize it's me here, right?"
"i'm not blind, idiot," you roll your eyes, his boxers joining his pants at his ankles. his hard cock splits out smacking his stomach, tip red and sensitive, already leaking with precum. he was big. noticing your wide eyes and how you just stare, chris can't help but smirk through his annoyance, "gonna do somethin' 'bout it or keep only lookin'?"
wrapping your fingers around his length, you start slowly stroking him, looking back up at his face. chris swallows, his breathing heavy as he brushes your hair out of your face and gather them into a messy ponytail in the back of your head.
"you're fuckin' annoyin'," his voice hoarse with arousal. "being all over some random guy' lap, when he's clearly tryin' to be me. like, all them idiots tonight..." chris's breath hitches in his throat, when you give him a small, kitty lick. he tries to keep his composure, "why'd ya want some fake ghostface, when you could've a real one? not lettin' me fuck you, but if he wanted to, you'd say yes, huh?"
you shake your head again, sucking on his tip, your hand working the rest of him. his grip on your hair tightens, as he tries not to start face fucking you, which was getting already hard.
"no?" he clicks his tongue against his teeth, "but droppin' to your knees, not even being sure who was under the mask, says somethin' different."
you pull away for a moment to speak, "i knew it's you, moron... the picture..." you look at the wall, making him realize. so you knew and decided to do it anyway? this makes his dick twitch in your grip, just as you take him to your mouth again, tongue swirling around his tip, before you go deeper.
"shitttt, keep goin'..." chris groans, not being able to hold it back, which causes you to take more of him, fighting your gag reflex. "pissin' me off all night, kid, in that skirt of yours..."
you pull away, gasping for air, saliva dripping down your chin. he forces your head to tilt back, eyes meeting his again, "look at you, chokin' on my dick, lookin' all pretty..."
"and why didn't you just say it's you, not him?" maintaining eye contact, you take all of him into your mouth again, breathing through your nose.
another groan escapes him at the feeling of his tip hitting the back of your throat, "wanted to see— fuckkk, if you, uh... would jus' go with him to the room..."
his hips jerks forward, causing you to gag again, but not pulling away, "take it, c'mon, princess... yeaaah, that's it... take all of me..."
few tears runs down your cheeks as he starts thrusting into your mouth, the grip on your hair almost painful, stealing a moan from you, which sends vibrations through chris. the sounds of you choking on him and his groans echoing through the room, his head throwed back as he uses your mouth how he pleases. and you let him.
"fuck, takin' me like a champ..." he praises, looking down at you again, not being able to resist the sight of you like this. mascara smeared due to tears coming down your face, saliva dripping from the corner of your lips. it was perfect for him. "such a good girl..." his hips stutter a bit as he gets closer to the edge, "and you gonna let me come on your fuckin' tongue, yeah?"
you moan in approval, as he gives a few more thrusts and pull his dick out of your mouth, wrapping his hand around it and starting jerking off fast, while you wait with your tongue sticking out. "shittttt..." that look on you, makes his cock twitch and with a loud moan of your name, he releases on your tongue. warm drops of cum spills onto it, dripping down your chin as well. "f-fuck, you look... so hot like that—"
his hand eventually comes to a stop, the grip on your hair completely loosens as chris watches you swallow everything, then also licking your lips. it made his mind go blank.
picking yourself up from the floor, he notices his seed on your chin and swipes it away with his thumb, tracing it over your lower lip and popping it into your mouth as you lick it clean. then he removes his finger, his cheeks flushed and breathing heavy.
"so, answering your questions," you speak up. "no, i would not let this guy fuck me and no, i would not suck anyone off unless i knew who they were."
chris smirks, "so you did know and decided to do it anyway, huh?"
"yeah, 'cause you pissed me off with this whole game," you roll your eyes. then add, "by the way, you taste fucking delicious."
"oh, could've tell by the way you sucked my dick like a lollipop," he retorts, tilting his head to the side.
and making you blush. again.
"you look incredibly sexy tonight," his voice gets lower, more suggestive as he eyes you up and down. "annoyin' the hell outta me, but wouldn't mind to rip your clothes off, like, right now."
"yeah?" you raise your eyebrow, trying to keep holding your ground even with awfully red cheeks, and desperately wet pussy.
the next sentence you say, almost makes chris fully hard again.
"what if i let you this time?"
a/n: not me laughing bc i know y'all gonna be HELLAAAA mad at me for ending the chapter here LMFAO i'm evil 😪
