y’all im losing my mind because my parents finally watched s7 this week, so i figured i’d get the cishet, general audience perspective on bi buck canon straight from the source and apparently my parents not only didn’t see it coming, but had a grand old laugh imagining, and i quote, “how the actor reacted to it being pitched after years of playing a more womanizing character”

what are your opinions on natalie? i feel like we haven't seen her and evan in a while.

To start off, as i’m aware they haven’t been seen together (relationship wise) since october, though they were spotted hanging out, as what was assumed by many, as friends + accompanied by someone else. As far as the fandom is aware, they didn’t spend Christmas, Thanksgiving, or New Year together, considering Nat was in Australia (her ex was assumed to be around the same area, as he made a post on his story near the same location but take that with a grain of salt since the story is no longer available) and Evan was assumed to be in St. Louis.

As far as my stance goes, i’m neutral on her. there’s some things i like about her, and some things I don’t like, which we’ll be talking about here. as of recent, i’ve heard on many accounts she’ll block anyone that asks about evan. she also turned off her comment section after an argument with a fan where she had called the bond between her and Evan, a ‘friendship’, which threw off many of us. Another account stated that back during the coachella ‘scandal’, she had her friends take a video of her and Evan (while he was assumed to be intoxicated, because well it’s a music festival) and send it off to Deuxmoi, which was then confirmed by them in a podcast, saying the video was sent in by someone in Natalie’s “inner circle”. That part was later cut out of the podcast episode after someone, most likely natalie, reached out to them. she also stated in the comment section argument that she was ‘traumatized’ from said incident, when there is in fact footage of her looking straight at the camera while being on top of him, and she still allows herself to be tagged in that video on instagram, not even attempting to remove it. i personally consider that extremely contradicting, but that’s just my opinion.

I was never ever one to dislike her from the start. I had a hopeful stance on her, but there’s been a few ‘fishy’ incidents with her, and i’ve been trying to dig up as much proof as possible. She seemed like a good-intentioned person, and I don't particularly hate her, but I do wish she wouldn't try these mind games with Evan's fandom, it's like a whole “where's waldo” situation in all of her stories and it's why i’ve been kind of fed up with her. she’d starting to irritate me and adding more things to the pile that make me like her less and less. she doesn't benefit my time at all, which is why i try not to dwell on her too much, but she can’t seem to escape my fyps and dashes. most of the aforementioned evidence was sadly lost after the original evan peters subreddit was privated. I’m currently in contact with a few of the original screenshot sharers to see if they still have them and I will edit this post one I gather the receipts. I’ve been very very open minded about her until these incidents came up, and i still try to be open minded, but it’s started to get a bit difficult. I understand this post might get some backlash, but at this point, it’s my blog, and people on the internet have no say in my actual life. anon, thank you for allowing me to talk about this subject. anyone else who has thoughts, feel free to interact. a respectful back-and-forth is always welcome !!

following on from this. not to always bring marc into everything (sorry marc) but if assen 2015 had happened against jorge, valentino would have very likely pulled something similar again imo. rather than what he actually did, which is approach marc almost immediately for a nice normal friendly handshake and backing off during the podium celebrations. should be noted that during laguna seca '08, valentino was very much committed to yapping at casey on the podium with the world's biggest smuggest grin on his face

partly that disparity is because jorge not marc was the direct title rival, partly it's because valentino was treating marc with kid gloves right until the second that he wasn't, which marc was seemingly entirely oblivious to. if anyone other than marc had said what he said in that presser, had then continued on with similar rhetoric during sachsenring, valentino would quite likely have gone nuclear. he's done it over less than that. his fondness for marc made him continue to exhibit uncharacteristic restraint... except that fondness unfortunately is what left valentino feeling so very betrayed when (to his eyes) marc could not leave well enough alone

i saw that ask from anon about skynani wanting to do a bl, and i seconded to all of what you and anon have said. but i also want to let out my frustrations because at the start that is what haters say against them, “queerbaiting” & “homophobic” for not doing a bl. well at the very start, they're very open about shipping and told that they are fine with it. plus, this thing going on right now? i don't think that's forced or a pr stunt for them. they know what they're getting theirselves into. plus, i know a couple of actors who blatantly said they do not want to be in a bl (until they were paired with an actor they want to). idk i just wish one day we'll have them kissing in our screens just a fuck you to the people who was so against them.

100% agree with u there, skynani are grown individuals with years of experience in the industry, they know exactly what they're getting themselves into and while their sudden popularity was unexpected, it doesn't mean that they're naive about the expectations etc

it's especially reassuring to see how genuine and firm they are in interviews, like when they asked what sky would say to nani and he said they'd already discussed everything in private, and them subtly declining some of the more fanservice-y things, etc. it's just another reminder that we as fans don't need to baby them, they know what they're doing, and the haters calling everything queerbaiting and fanservice and scripted obviously know nothing about what's going on and just wanna hate on it because it's popular 💀

I'll admit however that it gets harder and harder not to be just a little bit salty about Lavellan (in a relationship with Solas) being treated as The Inquisitor now. Even by some of the game team. Like I understand why (I see the appeal, I'm not ignorant of it), but also hell some of us are just friends with him.

Altho it is kinda just a step up from the mage Hawke being The Hawke of the fandom (which, again, understandable, they are the most narratively compelling considering the themes) and therefore Carver being the default surviving sibling. Poor Beth.
