Jinyoung said that it was the son of Gapryoung (I seriously can’t write but that Jake father) who killed him and since it’s not Jake who did it means it’s his half brother and when we saw a little bit of him why not ?

Plus we know that DG did something terrible and killed someone and I think they clearly showed it was Jake’s father. Since then Charles Choi is threatening him to expose his a$$.

Some My Next Life as a Villainess ranting inspired by seeing that volume 12 is out (and not having read it yet, only the preview text for it).

My current issue with the My Next Life as a Villainess light novels is I’m genuinely interested in Katarina’s story entirely separate from suitors, and I honestly find Geordo and Keith pursuing her more annoying than fun.

I’m interested in her friendship with Maria, and a bunch of things in the story, but I’ve felt like the “romance” with the others has been secondary, if not a distraction, for a while now.

Which probably sounds weird to some people. One of the biggest selling points of the anime was Katarina’s harem.

For me, I was heavily invested in the series before I even realized that was what it was doing (I got embarrassingly far in the manga before realizing she was going to end up with a harem), and it was because of Katarina and her kindness.

She took an axe to my sadness on a very bad day, and I’ve been invested in the series for her, not because there are women interested in her.

I mean, yes, I absolutely want her to marry Maria, but that was something I decided after several volumes of the light novel, which I read after season one of the anime.

Also, I know Katarina has a massive shield up about attraction, effectively making it difficult to confess to her and have her actually get it, but ye gods, Katarina’s harem, just spell it out for the poor girl already. Like, full on intervention.

Maybe I’ll read volume 12 this weekend and be pleasantly surprised, but I’m worried it’s going to be a Geordo-Keith fest. Maybe those two could just elope? They’d have my blessing.

Katarina comic rant despite the comic coming out a while ago.

I’m just going to come out and say that I have *very* mixed feelings on the Katarina comic, on one hand the art looks really at times and I love how it fleshed Katarina out to be this person who loves Noxus and can be very cruel at times bc of her job but can also show mercy in some ways such as how she allowed the general (I think it was a general) she was sent to kill the opportunity to fight her because he had served Noxus well for years or how she helped Lux escape because she saw Lux fight for her life.

It’s a really nice thing to add to her character yet doesn’t feel out of character. Overall I think it did really good stuff for her character and shows where she is in the current lore, working for Swain as his top assassin.

WHAT I DONT LIKE-is how it massacred Talons character by not only making his lore redundant but also just what they did to him as a character.

Like, the entire point of Talons character since the very beginning, and I mean the very beginning, like back to the old lore journals of Justice beginning, Talons entire mission was to find his father. And in the comic, not only has Talon know where this man was the entire time, but he was also helping him because he wanted to be the heir to the house. Not only does this choice, make his entire goal redundant but it’s also completely out of character. Talon has never given a shit about being the heir to the family house or having any sort of power for that matter, he’s only ever cared about killing and achieving “the edge” while doing so. Plus, him knowing brings up the question as to what he and Marcus have been doing for the past three years? We can assume Marcus vanished in the first place because of Le Blanc nabbing him so she can manipulate, or whatever it was she was doing, Marcus into killing Swain and thinking he was a threat to Noxus, but how long was that? If it wasn’t a long time then why did he break so easily? Is Le Blanc just that good, or something or did he not like Swain that much in the first place? This just brings up more questions.

Like don’t get me wrong I’m not against talon working with his father and finding him again but they could have done that so much cooler. They could have had Marcus come to talon a few months prior to this and tell him that he needs *his* help because he is the best assassin he knows, the only person he can trust to help him take down Swain and talon agrees bc the only person he is shown to be loyal to, the one who saved his life and trained him since he was a child is asking for his help because he believes in his abilities. But no, instead we have Talon knowing his dad is alive before hand and helping out because he wants *power* for some dumb reason, Nevermind the fact that this boy doesn’t like people at all and, again, has never given a shit about power or the social manipulation that goes along with being an aristocrat in Noxus.

So yea, blatant character assassinations aside, because that wasn’t enough, they know have it to where at this point in the lore, so like currently in lol, Talon is in Sharima for some reason!?? Like, no. I know they tried to say he’s there healing but like, no. This boy lived on the streets, his family is full of assassins, surely he has some other place to live inside the city or in the country side he can lay low at. There’s no reason for him to be in another fucking continent to heal. Also Kat didn’t even hit him that hard, they had him crying in the corner over a scar over his eye, despite the fact that he did the same thing to Kat when they were children, and she walked her ass home and went on to murder people.

Talon is just as good as an assassin as she is, why is he not getting up to stop Katarina? Like I get they needed him out of the fight but still, have him lose his goddam eye, have kat throw him out he window and talk about how if she fails at least their father won’t be able to take it out on Talon with tears in her eyes. Have talon actually be down for the fight and unable to fight, don’t make him a goddam crybaby because he got stabbed got a scar over his eye (WHICH HE CAN STILL SEE OUT OF BTW). Like, again I’m not opposed to this happening, I’m not opposed to these two fighting it out and Kat having to basically maim her own brother whom she loves to death and is the only family she has in order to protect her country. I’m not opposed to that, that’s a really interesting position to put her in because they established that she loves both, the she cares for her family but now has to kill possible both her father and brother to protect Noxus. Thats awesome. Just don’t make talon a fucking wuss to do it and then ship him off to another country to “heal up”.

So yea, art wise I think this comic is really cool, talon looks nice despite his changing eye colors and I do wish Kat looked a bit older. I don’t really like the roundness to her face, I wish she had slightly sharper features like she has in her icon. But she looks nice and the backgrounds are wonderful. Not only that but I love what they did for Katarina as a character. I just can’t get over how dirty it did talon. Like, why? Just why.

Normal is the weird kid at the school, and he is the adopted brother of link.

Link is the “Boy next door” type perfect, lots of admirers.

Hermie is a different brand of weird kid, he does have friends but she is standoffish and rude to everyone, including his nephew.

Taylor is new at the school, and already head over heels for one Lincoln Li-Wilson. He’s devising a plan to ask him out.

Erica is a popular girl that likes to befriend losers, like Taylor. So far she’s Taylor’s only friend and is attempting to help him get the attention of his crush. Does she have a crush?

Ramona is the head cheerleader and is super rich, she only wants to date link because of a bet with one of her friends but she will do anything to win that bet.

Scary is Normals only friend, she’s slightly less weird then him according to the students of the school but she chooses to stick with normal. The only other person she would consider getting close with is her crush.

Shmegan is slightly less popular then link and silently detests that fact. She wants to be the one that Ramona is tripping over. She’s links best friend though.

Marco and Grant are overprotective parents, going to far as to implement a rule that Link can’t date until Normal does, knowing that normal is super unpopular. They just want to keep their kids safe from heartbreak, though they have unconventional ways of doing that.

Terry jr. Is the kind of teacher that students like to confide in, be also curses in his class so some people automatically like him better. He’s normals favorite teacher though normal would never tell him that. He’s also scarys stepdad.

Erin is the beloved school counselor for her abrasiveness and her charm. She loved plants and has so many that they are overwhelming her office.

Okay now here’s a summary I wrote

Normal moves in with link, grant and Marco. Taylor is a transfer student from chapperal high as he went to live with his uncle, when he arrives at Saint deemus he meets Erica Drippens and she becomes his best friend. When showing him around the school she introduces him to link, the shy jv soccer player. Taylor falls head over heels. We learn later that there’s one obstacle, links adopted brother, Normally Oak Swallows Garcia Li Wilson. Their dads have a rule that Link can’t date until Normal does. So Taylor’s quest is to find someone willing to date the weirdest kid in the school. Maybe his uncle will be up to task, or maybe he’ll just have to live without the boy of his dreams.

Full Ask: Here's one for the hanahaki prompt. It takes place in the FL timeline, following the events of the Keith good end. With Maria running away with Keith, Geordo begins to exhibit symptoms of the disease, though he's hiding it from everyone else. He seeks Maria out, but when face-to-face with her he finds that he doesn't feel anything but anger towards her both for spurning his feelings, feelings he feels she toyed with, in addition to how she and Keith took away his shield against noble ladies who only see him as the ideal prince. He ends up realizing that it may not be the loss of Maria that has him coughing up flowers, it may be the loss of Katarina.

A Rant about the opinions against AO3 (TL:DR, why hold fanfic authors to a different standard compared to published authors?)

….I honestly don't like getting too involved with drama, but the whole AO3 thing has me a bit bothered and while I understand AO3 is not everyone's cup of tea, saying it's a "horrible site for horrible people" because we write icky stuff is just… false.

Just because we write about it, doesn't mean we stand for it.

I mean, do you think Stephen King is a psycho or loves killing people?! Why not? He writes about people losing their sanity and people dying, descriptively or not.

Are there hints of JK Rowling bridging her transphobic views in the original Harry Potter books? Where are they? She made them pretty abundantly clear with her social media.

Is the author of 50 Shades of Grey some possessive, manipulative creep? Why not? The boundaries of manipulation, bondage, and themes in the book are explicit from what I've heard.

Is every single murder mystery published written by someone who likes people dying or who like the idea of murdering people?

Is every Death Game work made by a person who loves seeing people die in horrible ways? 

Is every smut book published written by a creepy pervert?

No? If you think fanfic writers are exactly what we write, then that applies to all writers. Why the hell are we singled out?

"Obviously their works are not nearly as explicit as what's on AO3, you monsters!"

Well, that is obvious, it's for a broader audience and there will be limitations to what can be officially published or not because of the publishing house and distribution. Why do you think content needs to be cut or censored in the public market? Because it needs to sell and make money. It needs to get by the safety walls that shield the public from overly explicit content. It's for a broad audience that the general rating system can only describe so much for what applies as explicit content.

AO3 is not like that, we are not trying to make money, we are not trying to sell. We are not writing for anyone or anything. We write what we want just for the hell of it because we like it and it's fun, and we share it cause we want to. Are our topics dark and icky at points?

Yes, absolutely, and you are under no obligation to read them. People always say "don't like, don't read" and I don't see what the problem is with that saying. It's simple and it's straight forward. There is an option to exclude fics with certain tags after all.

There's a reason why warnings and tags exist. You know exactly what you're getting into because you cannot ignore those tags. Even the archive has explicit warning tags for any fics containing icky content. They are in bold lettering and the first tag you see. They don't have ones for other icky stuff, but the ones they require authors to use basically cover all their bases because they're a broad enough umbrella to cover the other icky content.

So sorry for the rant, but please, the only thing I ask is why are fanfiction writers under such scrutiny that other authors are not? It's obviously not for the "recycling already existing material" that I am used to. Why are we targeted for being monsters because of our FICTIONAL content while other authors are not held to that standard?

And one last note, it's all FICTIONAL, it's called "fanfiction" for a reason! It isn't real and never reflects our actual views. What we make happen in a story is because everything in that story is just a fabrication of our imagination and nothing is related to our real life. Even if the author you don't like because of their overly icky stuff, they are doing it for themselves in their own little world and no one else. You can easily ignore them and just move on.

However, this is just my opinion and really it's been bothering me a lot. I just wanted to share why I don't think AO3 is an issue or why people are so bothered by it. We had real issues on other social media sites that actually affected real life. AO3 is nothing but a collection of stories, fake stories, fictional stories. Why is it bothering people when we're just trying to have a nice quiet place to share and express our own fictional storytelling?

The elevator doors opened with a ding. Vanessa looked around before carefully stepping out. Gregory fast asleep in her arms and covered in bandages. Freddy stepped out beside her to observe the area. 

"This area is clear right now." Freddy said. 

"Good, the Security Bots know who I am so we should be fine." Vanessa said as they walked across the main area. She held onto Gregory a little tighter as they made their way across. 

“Miss Vanessa, how will you fix the others?” Freddy asked.

“Manual reset,” Vanessa said, “It’ll clear processing data, but they won’t lose any memories. Visual and auditory information is preserved and stored in a separate area. They might be a bit woozy and unresponsive for a little bit of time, but they should be fine. But once the processing data is wiped, it should remove whatever virus infected them.” 

“YoU ShouLdn'T bE Left AlOnE! Little Boy!” 

“RUN!” Vanessa shouted, she broke into a sprint. The grip on Gregory tightened. 

Freddy followed after her as his eyes scanned for Roxy's figure. That was her voice no doubt. But it sounded so distorted, he nearly didn't recognize it. 

"Miss Vanessa! Duck!" Freddy shouted as he swung a hand over them. Managing to block a green fist. Freddy grunted as he pushed Monty back and Vanessa ran to duck under a table with the child. 

"Get Gregory to safety, Vanessa!" Freddy shouted as he pulled Monty forward and tossed him to the side, making the giant alligator tumble and crash on the ground. "I will guard your path."

"Be careful now!" Vanessa said as she held onto Gregory and ran. 

"Freddy! Where is the child?!" 

Freddy turned just in time to duck a slash from Roxy's claws. He spun around on the smooth metal heels of his feet to dodge another strike from Monty, who’s fist ended up colliding with Roxy’s chestplate, sending her to the ground. 

“Stop acting like this! We are not allowed to hurt children!” Freddy shouted as he dodged Monty again. 

“Stop being a goody-two-shoes and follow our commands!” Monty yelled, “The child is to be taken to the east scrapyard. Do not get in our way!” 

Another green fist nearly hit him as Freddy moved and sent his own curled up fist into Monty’s chestplate, forcing the robotic gator to the ground. 

“Freddy! The child needs to be taken!” 

Freddy covered his ears as an agonizing sound pierced him and vibrated down his endoskeleton. He was met by a harsh shove that sent him stumbling. He managed to regain his balance as he dodged another strike from Monty, who left a large crack in the wall behind him. 

Freddy managed to move out and saw his three bandmates looking at him. They looked more worn than they did a short while ago, but the most noticeable was the red glow in their eyes. That glow alone told him his friends were not in control. They didn’t mean for this to happen, they were hacked, manipulated, forced to hurt children. Whoever was behind this will pay for what they did. 

Freddy’s eyes glanced and quickly zoomed elsewhere, managing to see Vanessa reach the elevator with Gregory still in her arms. 

“Why are you not following protocols?” Freddy asked as he backed away, “We are strictly prohibited from harming children.” 

“Protocols overridden.” Chica said with a static expression, “Gregory will be taken to the core and utilized. That is the command. Tell us where the child is.”

“I am afraid I cannot do that.” Freddy said, he glanced again just as he saw Vanessa get the door open. “I do not follow your commands.” 

Freddy pulled another small device from his leg and pressed a button. Roxy caught it and tried to throw it back, but Freddy smacked it away with the back of his hand and ran. The sound screeched in his ears and light suddenly enveloped the area. While those little gadgets were useful, he doubts they are safe to use around kids. Freddy shook his head, he can complain about child safety later, he needs to make sure Vanessa and Gregory get to safety. He refuses to let him get hurt anymore. 

Freddy came to a stop outside of the elevator where Vanessa was, Gregory still in her arms.

“Freddy, are you alright?” Vanessa asked as Freddy entered the elevator.

Part 2 *~*~*~* "Brought here?" Freddy asked. "He was kidnapped," Vanessa said, "Taken from the orphanage by someone and brought here for whatever reason. Or perhaps he escaped and somehow ended up here. If someone was after him, I have no doubt it's his kidnapper." "Why kidnap Gregory?" Freddy asked, "He's just a small child." "Who knows." Vanessa sighed, "Perverted reasons, selling reasons, who knows what. Thankfully, he doesn't look too abused besides the animatronic wounds." She barely noticed how Freddy flinched at the last line. It was still odd how alive the robot was. "There," Vanessa sighed as she placed one more bandage on him. "he shouldn't move around much when he wakes up, but it stopped the bleeding and I cleaned the wounds. He should be fine though." "That's good." Freddy said, "Miss Vanessa, do you know what happened to the others? You said something about a technology problem." "Ah, right," Vanessa said, "I heard from another guard that there was a glitch or hack in the main system that's connected to the others. You were disconnected since there was an error. Whatever it was, it's causing the others to act aggressive. We shouldn't get too close to them until we can clear the system and hopefully clear whatever the error is." "Is it possible to do it before sunrise?" Freddy asked. "If we go to the main control room on the top floor maybe." Vanessa said, "But it's on the opposite end of the building." "I can go and try to fix it." Freddy said. Vanessa shook her head, "You're not programmed to figure this stuff out. And it'll be too difficult to try and have you convey the information to me. If we want to try and fix them, we need to move." "But Gregory…" Freddy looked down at the child. "I don't think it's wise to leave him unattended." "I don't think so either," Vanessa said, "One of us needs to carry him. And DO NOT suggest your stomach hatch." Freddy closed the hatch, "But he was fine before inside." "It's still a metal shell that can get cramped, crush, and potentially turn him into a meat pretzel." Vanessa said, "it's not meant for hiding children. Look, you are our best defense against your friends. They don't seem to be hostile to you." "Are you sure?" Freddy asked. "It's our best bet," Vanessa said as she picked up Gregory, "We should get moving." *~*~*~*~* The ping of a door alert sounded on the red colored panel. Vanny giggled. "Looks like a chase is on~ Oh I wonder if I can catch the little mouse~"

(I know Thirteen had her moody and cold moments in her run after Spyfall, but they were quick. I really wanted her to have a dark moment a bit like Eleven where she really showed her age because like Eleven Thirteen was an old Alien with a young face who smile doesn't quite reach their eyes and act goofy to pretend that they're okay when in reality on the inside there is a burning fire ready to burst open)

"Doctor! Help me!!!" The Doctor just stood where she was emotionlessly whilst watching the Slitheen screeching in pain as it's arm is caught in the rubble of a collapsing burning building from a distance. Green blood was pooling as the creature struggled to breath from all the dust and smoke.

Sorbil, if I were to help you, you would have to promise me that you leave humanity alone....and you leave earth alone as well. This planet is protected for as long as I'm around it'll always be protected." Sorbil laughs harshly, withering in pain. Don't you grow tired of protecting those silly humans. All they do is repeat the same mistakes over and over again." He takes a harsh breath." It won't be us that kills humanity. It will be them who do it. Many wars, including the great ones. A third world war will kill off humanity for good. Wouldn't it be peaceful not having to deal with humans all the time?" Sorbil laughs menacingly yet weakly obviously close to dying.

The Doctor walked closer, anger in her eyes. "Yes. Many times I've grown tired of protecting this planet as humans are ungrateful beings who don't deserve being protected but they don't deserve to die especially from an intergalactic war just because you want their oils and a little bit of fun. The reason I protect humans and their precious earth is because many of my friends have been humans. Oh, so many from different times. All absolutely amazing all different endings..... most were lucky very lucky and got away unscarraped and live their lives. Happy and safe with people they care about, and I'm glad they're okay even if I miss them terribly."

The building began crushing around Sorbil as she stood there, making no attempt to even try and help Sorbil as his screeching stopped suddenly. She sighed, walking closer to the building as emotions began bubbling.

Peri.....Donna...Amy...Rory...Clara....oh, my impossible girl, I wonder where you are travelling too now? And of course Bill....Bill....none of them deserved their fates and it was all my fault because I was so stupid...and careless what's what happens to me I became careless I become human....because they all became a part of me. She ranted angrily, tears falling down her face.

She fell to her knees in despair as more tears fell down her face. Dust was getting into her lungs, but she just ignored the painful urge to cough. "I have always told them that I'd protect them, that everything will be okay and they believe me but....I couldn't save them.....I promise I'd save them yet I couldn't." She choked back a sob as her heart's began hurting. "Maybe that's why I'm so cold this time round because I don't want to get close to anyone again in case I lose Yaz too.....I can't lose Yaz she means everything to me."

Hesitated footsteps could be heard as they got closer to the Doctor. She could feel the person hovering obviously worried about what mood the Doctor would be in. She hated that she's snapped at Yaz in her many bad moods that it's caused her to be anxious....even scared around The Doctor. This caused fresh tears to fall. "Yaz.. I'm so sorry....I never meant to be so cold towards you!" Yaz kneeled down next to The Doctor, shaking her head. "Don't be silly. It wasn't your fault. I know I can be a bit nosy sometimes, and it's okay to be left alone." The Doctor looked up from the dusty ground into Yaz's warm dark eyes. "No, Yaz, I was harsh and rude towards you when you were trying to be a friend. You we're just making sure I was okay, yet I pushed you away, and you can't say it didn't bother you cause I saw how much it hurt by the expression of your face. Im aware that my moods have been dreadful lately. But i can say this. It's not because of you. It's because of so many things. The Master, Gallifrey. But its also because i have lost many people in my past and when ever i had gotten vlose to them they end up being snatched away again leaving a very painful hole in my hearts" The Doctor placed a hand on Yaz's cheek brushing her thumb ever so gently. you're so important to me, Yaz, so I just thought that if I pushed you away, maybe you'd leave and that it would be less painful than witnessing your demise. Obviously, you ended up sticking to your guns and ended up telling me off eh" " She rambled, chuckling weakly, gently taking Yaz's hand in hers.

Yaz gave The Doctor a smile that she absolutely loves. "You silly woman, it would take a lot to get rid of me. You're stuck with me now. No matter how little or how long we spend together. So instead of worrying about the what ifs, why don't you just live in the moment. Doctor, you're the most incredible non-human person I've met. You're kind. Caring, and you have two hearts. What more can a person want? That's why I love yo -" Yaz froze in panic, realising she has basically told The Doctor that she was in love with her.

Yaz panicked slightly. "Oh erm...I think I can hear my phone in the Tardis..." She scrambled onto her feet and turned away from The Doctor as she began walking to The Tardis so she could hide in her room from the embarrassment and in hope the the beautiful blonde would forget the whole incident. Yaz was halfway through her path when a hand stopped and spun her, so she was facing the blonde once more. Before Yaz could even ask questions, the doctor pressed her soft lips onto Yaz's in a heart-stopping kiss. Yaz melted as The Doctor wrapped her arms around Yaz, bringing her closer, deepening the kiss. Unfortunately, Yaz only broke away when she remembered a little thing called oxygen. Otherwise, she'd happily kiss The Doctor forever.

The Doctor's beautiful Hazel eyes stared into Yaz's eyes as she broke into a huge gorgeous smile that made her eyes light up that made Yaz feel like she was the only person in the whole universe. not one of her "I'm okay, but I'm actually not okay," smiles. "Now, where do you think you were going, Khan? You didn't even let me speak?" Yaz blushed and looked down to her battered boots to avoid the intense stare. A finger slid under her chin, and Yaz found herself looking back in those eyes again. The Doctor placed her hand on Yaz's face. Her thumb gently caressing her cheek. "Look I'm not going to deny my feelings for you Yaz as those feelings have been driving me crazy for a long time now but I will admit that I tried to ignore them so that we would stay strictly friends but....Yaz you're so absolutely wonderful, your clever, funny and you make my hearts so happy. I trust you so much and even the Tardis likes you and it takes a lot to get her to like people.......The day I met you I knew ypu were going to be important in my life bit I didn't know how important until I realised what what I'm feeling is love....pure unconditional love........"

Yaz felt he heart flutter in her chest as she smiled at The Doctor in pure happiness. "Wait.. Do you mean that?" The Doctor nodded, smiling brightly as she threaded her fingers through Yaz's fingers. "If I didn't mean it, Yaz, I wouldn't even be telling you in the first place." Yaz chuckles as she gently squeezed The Doctor's hand. "How about I make you a mug of hot chocolate and a plate of cream custard while you plan our next adventure, eh Doc?" The Doctor nodded excitedly as the couple began walking back towards the Tardis hand in hand with pure happiness as the sun began to set in the horizons.

(I hope you guys enjoyed this! I know it isn't great but I really hope I manged to at least get some of the Thirteenth Doctor's amd Yaz's personality. If I didn't I apologise)

Today I hanged out with my bestfriend while we were going to the library we passed by a restaurant. There this guy, a waiter, who just stopped and said “wow you are incredible I love your style” to my bestfriend. I was beside her like that literally 😳🫣😏 my bestfriend who is absolutely not shy usually was stuttering and then we went away because he was working. WHEN we had to go home I made us passed by the same restaurant again for her to go ask for his number or something ! But she didn’t want to and we stayed a little and decided to go it’s okay next time. HOWEVER ! The guy came to us (her?) and they exchanged their Instagram @ now they planned their first date im so excited for her !!! And I’m going too obviously bc I’m not letting my bestfriend go to a date with someone we only knew for 30sec without me watching over her and I have her consent, I proposed the idea to her and she accepted saying that it was more safe that way. I won’t be with them on the same table but a little bit far away for me to watch over her if he is a weirdo. BUT IM SO EXCITED !!!

"no but really though," kie says after she's taken a selfie next to an icy flamenco dancer. "i'm glad you're here, zo. i'm glad you said yes to this. thank you. it means the world to me."

03: "thanks for partnering up with me," kie whispers, "i hate this class. i hate everything about this." zoe just looks at her, doesn't say anything. doesn't have to. because the look on her face is enough: no shit sherlock. everyone who's anyone knows that khione goossens hates medulla's telepathy lessons with a burning passion of a thousand fiery suns, which is highly ironic, considering she's not a pyrokinetic. "but i don't hate you," kie finishes her little rant with a small, yet sincere, smile.

"maybe in the next round," zoe concedes and runs her hand through kie's hair as her eyes flutter shut and she contemplates her choices.

"before i begin," kie says, "i would like to go on record and state that i am very aware that all of them are older than me and that all of this is conjecture and that in real life, none of this would work. and also, none of them are warren. so they automatically lose."

"kie!" zoe groans. "just tell me already!"

"i---i would sleep with thor because i genuinely feel as though he would treat me right, and also, can you imagine the philosophical discussions we could have? because if you go back far enough, everything connects! like there's this irish water goddess named danu and there is also an indian primordial water goddess named danu. so i would like to talk about where, if and how norse myths could allign with indian lore."

zoe coughs and tells her she can say 'fuck'. kie flushes and tells zoe that she knows that: "right, yes, okay. so, i would sleep with thor. i would marry cap because i think he's a good man and would be a good husband - this goes for mister rogers and mister wilson as well. which leaves iron man. i would kill him. with kindness. 'cause i feel like that man could use a bit of that after all he's been through."

05: "zo, seriously. you are an omega level mutant." just like kie herself. just like all of their friends. "there is no one i would want by my side more than you while we're tracking down michael baxter, okay? i am so happy you're here. and believe in you. i believe in you."

If anything, Panda is the best wingman(?). Who would've thought she'd be the one picking Xiao's outfit? Also, I agree with the other anon, hopefully she'll be more involved in the story, which seems to be that way. But like you said, it's hard to tell. On the other hand, we really can't expect much character depth from fighting games, although I recall you mentioned MK had lots of content and you can at least see characters interacting a lot

I think it's really cute. And I think it's cool that Panda is back in the involvement of Xiao and Jin. Just because I thought it was a lil silly that Panda turned down Xiao's requests because she uh... didn't want to get herself killed because pandas are an endangered species? I guess because it's 2023 and that's not really true for Pandas anymore, she has no more excuses! But it was kinda funny in the first place given that Panda was intended as Xiao's bodyguard, yet is worried about herself dying because of the (now previously) current state of her species. Like isn't that counterproductive given she was supposed to be Xiao's bodyguard? Anyway, it's cool to see Panda having more involvement. With Kuma also having more inspiration by his master, maybe the bears will also have something a lil more to do with the story this time around.

As for Xiao, I do feel like she's definitely gonna be more involved in the story. Seeing as supposedly, most of the characters may play a part in the story? I think I heard something like that. Which would make sense, considering this story is supposedly bigger than 7's, and is "bigger" than just the Kaz/Jin conflict. And also, a lot of the characters sound like they have more serious bios than they did in 7. But we'll see, we'll see.

The problem with fighting game stories is that... they HAVE to write a story that explains why these characters are all fighting each other, and have it be plausible. Sometimes, it's hard to do depth this way when it's kind of a restrained form of storytelling. However, on to the topic of MK compared to Tek real quick. Since MKX, not only do all the characters have unique intros against each other, but they tend to have MULTIPLE intros. This not only gives more depths to the characters personalities, but also to each relationship the character has in the game. I was REALLY hoping that's what Tek8 was doing when I saw Jun and Kazuya have a unique intro. Sadly, they just... for some reason... chose not to go the extra mile the MK games did, and only CERTAIN characters have special intros.

MK is far from perfect, too, though. I actually prefer most of the character design in Tek, and I may even prefer the characters in general in Tek. Even the more boring characters in Tek tend to just be one exaggerated personality trait (Josie being a crybaby for example, or Katarina being very vulgar) that it could still make them entertaining even if they are One Beat. Meanwhile in MK, especially in MK1, the most boring characters are just... boring. They don't even have a gimmick in their personality. I particularly find myself being bored by Li Mei and Tanya's characters in MK1. And well, MK's lore also has its problems. (As I just wrote up a rant regarding my favorite character and his depiction in MK1. Not nearly as offensive as Tek6!Jin's... but still quite disappointing) But MK's lore, is, still... more consistent than Tek's. Even if it does get messy here and there. (There were... other issues with MK1, but I won't get into them for the sake of not spoiling much, aand also this isn't an MK blog LOL)

Imo, MK does game modes better than Tek, as well as letting most their roster characters get a spot in the story (without treating ANY of them as total jokes. For example, Johnny Cage is a funny character... he's a comic relief. But you're meant to laugh with Johnny and his antics. He's still a good guy who does have his importance. Meanwhile, if Johnny was a Tek character... he would've just been a joke who's seen as a "pathetic loser" that we all laugh at. He'd go nowhere.) MK also tends to have funnier humor, too. Like previous Tek games have been funny - in fact, Tek6 can be pretty funny at times. But oftentimes the humor is more juvenile, and Tek7 was the worst offender of this. And some ppl have TRIED to say "oh, that's just because Tek is Japanese humor, you just don't get it!" And that's... very untrue. Because I've watched a few Japanese things that are either comedic or just have some comedy peppered into it - and I've seen ones that made me laugh my ass off. Even the more "bizarre" humor ones, or maybe especially those. But Tek7 just never did that for me. I found myself more annoyed or experiencing second hand embarrassment when watching the "funny scenes" in Tek7.

Anyway, I wish Tek would've done the unique intros like MK did. But oh well. I can only hope they offer more gameplay modes (whiiich arcade quest might be doing) for single players, and better characterization in both the main story, and the individual character endings. Also, I REALLY hope it has a satisfying, somewhat challenging last boss because HOO BOY that was probably MK1's biggest disappointment.

i made the mistake of watching the taming of the shrew (1967) and i am now full of rage. i also made the follow up mistake of looking at other people’s opinions on the internet to see if i’m crazy or not and i am even more full of rage and also think maybe men shouldn’t be allowed to have opinions. which isn’t something i like to say but. i feel hurt and resentful and angry.
