My grandmother Tamara Kaslovski Nachumsohn, grew up in a small “shtetl” in Lithuania. She told my dad, when he was a young child, that when she was growing up back in the old country, each Friday afternoon her mother would send her to the local bakery with their pot of prepared but yet uncooked “cholent.” There it would be put into the oven for a full day, while the family observed the Sabbath and the hot oven cooled to warm while not in use for that same period. At sundown she would go to the bakery and bring the family their delicious pot of steamy stew. Dad remembered the story and was inspired to find a way to create a heating element that surrounded the pot in the same way that an oven would have.

While we're waiting for the next yingdu episode, might as well keep myself occupied with something else happening with shiguang rn and that's the upcoming idv crossover. For the niche subset of ppl on tumblr who watch shiguang and also play idv, this one's for you, enjoy!

In the original crossover trailer for cheng xiaoshi and lu guang as the wu chang hunters, it implied that the pair dove into a photograph from the manor to do an investigation.

I thought that was a really neat idea and am now contemplating making a mini episode themed around this adventure. Knowing me, I'll probably just end up turning it into a joke, but idv is a really good setting for drama so we'll see what I come up with...

I think that unlike when they split in the Divine Dark Reflections arc, they might try to stay in bigger groups, and I think Time would probably want to have as many close to him as possible (his group have three or four), but I uhh didn't know how to incorporate that.

It's silly, but right now I can't stop imagining a scene where they reach the central room and everyone sprints off into the groups they want before time can argue.

Anyone who goes with legend will survive physically and anyone who goes with four will survive mentally.
