I know I've discussed how Armand seems pretty touch-starved with Louis, like generally he's chasing after more affection than Louis is willing to give him

And I'm just imagining if he gets with Daniel in the modern day, and people see the two of them together and assume that it's a sugar baby situation (or that Armand is a gold digger), because clearly there's no way this young attractive guy is sincerely into this craggy old man -- and meanwhile Armand is just wrapped around Daniel like a snare trap at all times, just straight up folded bodily around him like a koala on a tree branch

Phainon, who would deem you as a sun and view you as the pinnacle of perfection in his life. He once saw you somewhere and decided to look into you after seeing how glaringly bright you are. Throughout his life, one haunted by the horrors of his past, you became the anchor to his reality, fully capturing his mind onto the present time.

The scream of the devil inside his mind hollowed out at the sounds of your laughter.

On some days, the scream was louder, harsher, even tempting.

Phainon, who would inscribe a sun over his neck just so he could get reminded of you every time he looked at a mirror. He sighed, caressing the sun softly as if he was touching you. Sometimes, once the sun had settled nicely to his skin, he would latch his fingernails to it, letting small prickles of blood flow out and taint the ever-so-lovely sun. His breath would hitch at the thought of you drenched in his blood.

Perhaps, the devil was him all along.

Perhaps, he was the one screaming inside his mind, scratching his soul with the itch to let loose and claim you as his one and only treasure, his sole sun.

Phainon, who would eventually relent to his desire, taking you all to himself. He would beg, down on his knees, for you to love him as he loved you. His heart soars high to wrap itself on your own, swallowing your whole being to be all his, alone.

“It’s my sign of love for you, Sunshine.” He whispered to your ear, forcing your hands to wrap around his neck.

He smiled, soft, as if proud of the bloody sun he had made.

the scene in wano when sanji calls out for robin asking her to help him means so much to me. this is a man whose father looked him in the eyes when he was just a child asking for help when he was hurt and asked him “why should i?”, a man who had it ingrained in him that he didn’t deserve help and when he asked for it wouldn’t come, a lesson learnt the hard way in that dungeon. needing help is a sign of weakness and the last thing he was allowed to be was weak. sanji allowing himself to ask for help when he needs it really is a testimony to how far he has come, both since his childhood and since whole cake island. he knows it isn’t weak to ask for help and he knows, with absolute certainty, that when he calls his crew will answer. he goes from a child whose pleas were ignored to a man whose family will be there for him in a heartbeat. and on robins end, the fact that sanji trusts her so whole heartedly means so much to her and god they mean so much to me as a duo

I'm very much on the side of 'I Need Daniel Molloy to Verbally Eviscerate Marius Whenever He Appears on the Show', but I am also now realizing that given the chain of maker to fledgling in play here (Marius -> Armand -> Daniel), he could also articulate all the many reasons he hates this guy while unironically referring to him as 'grandpa'
