so I was thinking about majima, as you do, and realized my original monster majima drawings were from 2021 which might as well be a hundred years ago so dang might as well draw up a new reference while im thinking about him
very tldr summary is standard monster au fare where part of the whole torture hole situation was getting cursed. he can hide it but its a very large strain on the body to be disguised all the time. hes kind of a story around kamurocho as sometimes people claim to have seen a weird beast skulking about dark alleys but its written off as a cryptid/urban legend situation.
an excuse to draw the Long Majima in various situations
#alloyart#goro majima#yakuza#ryu ga gotoku#monster au#its very much a hurt/comfort situation where he initially despises himself for this despite it not being His Fault or anything#but once some people he loves and trusts (read: kiryu and eventually haruka) find out and actually dont run away screaming it gets Better#just because you think you are a monster doesnt mean you deserve to be treated poorly or arent worthy of love kind of things ect ect#its sappy but sometimes i just want to write about monster cuddles in my notes app and I use Him for this purpose lol

This may be specific but I also think it would be kind of cute
Okay so Eyeless Jack x reader who is like pretty intimidating looking and always keeps a stoic expression on and also really tall
Then he gets to know them and it's like "Oh you're not scary, just ✨️traumatised✨️" because they only show emotions to those they trust
Like they will glare at someone who said something mean then be all lovey dovey to Jack but still a little reserved cause they're still new to the whole "wow someone actually loves me"
Could you make 2 versions? One being platonic and the other being romantic (also reader just straight up denying that Jack is insecure cause how could he? He's the definition of perfection in their eyes)
Eyeless Jack x stoic!reader whos sweet to him (?)
i must admit it took me a little while to think of some ideas for this prompt, my apologies for the delay </3 i also wasnt too sure what to title this TToTT but regardless i hope you enjoy this! even through the struggle for ideas, i gotta admit, this idea is adorable esp since i personally write jack to be more self loathing mainly written as platonic but there is a segment at the end for romantic hcs ! easier than to write two separate full fledged sections!
uhuh light CW for implied SH on ejs part since the admin thinks that while jack is slowly descending into his whole.. demon thing hes physically and mentally fighting with himself to remain lucid; nothing explicitly written but id rather be safe than sorry
honestly i think it might take him a good hot minute to really let you treat him like hes deserving of anything more than a scowl, especially if he sees how you act around other people... because why him, of all people? there are people better for you
yet he doesnt stop you from coming to his cabin in the woods, he doesnt stop you from doing some work around the place so its safer and more habitable for him, he doesnt stop you from patching up his clothing and washing them. why doesnt he stop you? he knows he doesnt deserve it...
he almost hates the way you look at him sometimes, if you look at him with pity. like hes some lost dog needing someone to take care of him
he doesnt need help, hes been doing this whole thing by himself for a long time now and he hasnt needed anyone
and yet
he doesnt push you away when you go in to clean his face after a particularly nasty fight with himself
you even run a warm bath for him
its been so long since hes been warm
i like to think that he tries to seek you out when you dont come to visit him for a few days.. did something happen to you? were you hurt? sick? did someone do something to you? did you move away? where did you go...?
wont ever admit it but i think hes at least a little starved for a connection, sure hes a hermit and he was already closed off before he started turning into this man eating monster, but deep down he still has his human roots in there kicking, and humans thrive on connections... in the truest sense, he needs you. not sexually or carnally or romantically, he just needs someone to talk to him to keep him from going truly mad
finds himself thinking about you more than hed like to admit, even if he doesnt have any romantic feelings for you hes going to beat himself up. he came here to his silly little cabin in the woods to get away from people for everyones sake; only coming out when he needs to 'hunt'
its like befriending a stray cat, i think. they hiss and swipe at first but overtime they try to cuddle up to you if you give them enough time to build up that trust
admin likes to think he has pointed ears, and i think that they would twitch a little if he sees a smile forming on your face...
as for romantics....
i think he would look at where you walked off to, to go home... longing, almost daring himself to go after you or say something because he cant stand spending another night alone in the woods
leaves you gifts, anonymously, but leaving them none the less. if you ask if he was the one who left them hes not going to admit it, you can imply that you know it was him, but he will hold firm in his denial
building off of the ear idea, he totally gives himself away when he starts blushing... he looks like the type to have his blush reach his ears... not too mention the flicks dont make it any less discrete,,,
even he doesnt notice it, but he tries to make excuses for you to stay around longer during hang out sessions, stopping just short of offering to watch the grass grow
i think this would feed into his self loathing, though. in my eyes, jack was dragged into a human sacrifice unwillingly and unknowingly. his life was robbed away from him, he was robbed of ever having a normal life with you... you deserve better, he thinks. very heavy shit, you know? i think it leads to his mental state being even worse than before
god i had intentions of going into this with fluff but this just came out angstier than my middle school ocs TToTT

I don't know enough lore to ask anything more in-depth but talk about what goultard and arty like about each other...
This is really just off the top of my head so I'm certainly going to miss some other aspects
Goultard and Arty have similar experiences with being rejected, misunderstood, feared, hated by society.
Goultard gets called "a humanoid creature" (implying that even if he somewhat looks like a human he's not one), "a scourge", "a demon", "not really a man"
Galgarion : The first issue concerns a humanoid creature that went berserk and rampaged through an entire neighborhood north of Bonta. Starting with the tower of the wealthy Homar Cherif!
Arty's treated a little differently than Goultard solely because he's a dragon. He's alienated while being put on a kind of pedestal. Clustus says just being in his presence is a privilege in itself.
Galgarion : Excuse me? A privilege to meet this monster? He's a murderer, no more no less!
And its true in a way, they're relentless forces of nature who've commited atrocities when pushed to their limits. But amidst the chaos, the fire and blood, they found each other, saw each other. They see each other for who they truly are, understand and accept each other whole, like nobody else ever could.
When Goultard finds Arty has lost control of himself, blind with rage, killing and destroying everything in sight, he doesnt hesitate a second and immediately offers himself to him. You need to take this anger out on someone, and thats what im here for. Goultard longs for someone who can rival with his strength. A fight he knows he might not come back from.
Goultard : Since you need to take it out on someone... and I'm looking for new challenges myself... I offer you a good fight.
Arty isn't scared to take it out on Goultard, he doesn't feel guilty about almost killing him, because he knows Goultard can take it. With him he can indulge the pent-up rage and violence that comes with being a fire dragon.
They love and need each other because they can keep up with each other.
Before that, when Vald was controlling the body, fully amnesiac and unaware that he's a part of Goultard's system, Arty risked his life to protect him. Something no one had ever done for him. He deserves to be looked out for and protected too.
Arty : I'm a feca... I protect... even dumbasses... like you! / Vald: This is the first time someone risks their life for me...
Goultard was still conscious of what was going on and got attached to arty very quickly.
Goultard : Arty!!! There's something you need to know... I have a lot of affection for you! It’s been a long time since this happened to me. It doesn't matter if you understand... With you I really feel like I'm getting back a little humanity!
Goultard's feelings for arty keep growing, which immensely bothers the symbiote, and he eventually abandons Goultard as a weird manipulation technique to later try to get him back. But the plan backfires. Without the symbiote, Goultard is at rock bottom, he latches on to arty and becomes devoted to him. Arty freed him and Goultard owes him.
Goultard : Don't act stupid... Don't leave me alone! What am I going to become if you leave me too? Don't abandon me!!!
Since the very beginning, Arty has a mission that he is determined to achieve, whatever it takes. Goultard deciding to assist him means the world to Arty. He's the very first person who joined Arty on his quest, who believed in his cause but most importantly believed in him, accepted him as a leader. They're extremely loyal to each other.
Arty isnt only the leader, he sometimes takes a role of caretaker for Goultard. Gou heavely relies on him, he allows himself to be totally vulnerable when he's with him. Arty comforts him, calms him down, takes decisions for him, but he also doesn't hesitate to beat him up when he's acting stupid.
Goultard worrying about his lost pet jelly and Arty comforting him. Arty : Alright, that's it! Come give me a big hug! / Goultard : You think she's okay? / Arty : I'm sure she's doing fine!
Goultard needs someone he can surrender to. To give up the fight just for a while. Just like a child, let himself be someone else's responsibility. I believe for two reasons :
Reason 1 - Because Goultard had been made to feel responsible very early in his life. He was tasked with protecting an entire village from monsters since he was just a child. The villagers clearly had no appreciation for him and his mother until he proved he could be useful to them.
Goultard and his mother, Cabotine, both sacrificed to protect the village from taurs. Cabotine : I wonder who the real monsters are, in this world!
Idolized and respected only as long as he fought for them
Young Goultard being cheered on by the villagers after beating Kriture the taur. (He looks even younger in the Goultard special episode than he does in the manga, which breaks my heart)
Great power comes with great responsibility. It comes with unbearable guilt as well. We can see Goultard feels responsible for a lot of the things that have happened to him, even if he had no control over them. He says multiple times that the murder of his wives and children was "all his fault".
Reason 2 - His past with the symbiote. I personally think that understanding Goultard's relationship with the symbiote and the trauma it caused, gives you a fuller comprehension of his relationship with Arty. When he was with the symbiote he was a brutal killing machine but he was under total subjugation, always at the symbiote's mercy. Sequestered and tortured in his own body and mind. But he was never alone and he was desired. The symbiote was OBSSESSED with him. Goultard isn't a prey like any other, he's the favorite, he's the perfect host and he knows it. And whether Goultard loved or hated the symbiote it didnt matter as long as he was his, he never had the choice anyway. (Will probably make an illustrated post focusing on Goultard and the symbiote because there's so much to say)
They're also really stupid and love to beat up people together and theyre best bros 💕
There's probably like a million other things I forgot but I've got to get this thing over with (there's now a part 2)
#dofus manga#arty#goultard#I feel like i completely lost track of what i was saying at some point#arty et gougou#dofusposting#dofus symbiote#why am i doing this to myself#why??

I'd love to hear your interpretations on those dreams at the end of artificer's campaign, the ones where you're trapped in a hallway with a scav and you have to kill them.
Personally, it's very interesting to me that in some of them, the player is the one controlling the scavenger (imagine a dream where you're someone else and it's you that's the killer, that's fucked up). I like to imagine that they began as basically arti's bloodlust carrying over to her dreams, but over time they got more complex, more detailed. Less of a violent fantasy and more of a reoccurring nightmare, maybe a symbol of her regret or a general disgust for senseless violence.
I have a headcanon where the dreams eventually make arti so sick to the stomach at the idea of violence she decides to give it up entirely, only fighting to kill something to eat. It's how I felt after finishing her campaign- I was so exhausted from the fight with the chieftain that once I won, I didn't have it in me to go around killing any more scavengers. I just felt bad for them and watched them run away from me. I couldn't do it anymore.
THIS THIS THIS!!! seriously, so many people seem to think that arti just genuinely enjoys murdering scavs, and... i mean i kinda get where theyre coming from, but to me it seems pretty clear that she is just constantly re-traumatizing herself.
like yes, she is consumed by rage, and im sure she does get satisfaction from killing them in the heat of the moment. but afterwards, i think it definitely haunts her. i imagine she tries to tell herself that 'they're all the same' and 'they deserve it', but she knows deep down that isn't true. she just keeps choosing violence because it's easier than accepting her loss. just like some people try to drown their sorrows in drugs or alcohol, arti tries to drown hers in blood. it's a self-destructive coping mechanism. as long as she is out there fighting for her life, finding enemies to hate and kill, she doesnt have to sit with her pain. but, once she goes to sleep, she cant run from her demons anymore. she has to relive her trauma and her grief, and she has to face the twisted monster she's allowed it to turn her into. theyre called 'nightmares' for a reason, after all-- they aren't fantasies about something she enjoys doing. even in the ones where she is still 'herself', she is trapped as surely as the scavenger is. theres no going back at that point. she has already dug herself into a hole where there is no choice but to keep killing.
and the ones where she is dreaming from the scav's point of view? that is like... the most perfectly brutal representation of repressed guilt i have ever seen. it shows that she on some level sympathizes and identifies with the scavengers she kills, that she's horrified at what she has become, and that she is inevitably destroying herself. all just by simply changing who the player is controlling. its freaking brilliant tbh.
anyway, i think that ultimately arti just feels guilty. she blames herself for not protecting her pups. she didnt watch them closely enough, she dropped them when she was running away, she didnt realize the blue pup got left behind at first, and she couldn't dive in the water to save the green pup. she feels like she failed them. so i think that once she took revenge on those toll scavs, the only person she had left to punish was herself. and she did it by going on to project her guilt onto every scavenger she saw. she chose to become a monster because thats what she felt she deserved to be treated like
#rain world#artificer#i just love tragic villains dont look at me#i cant imagine her ever giving up violence completely tho#to me she is very much a ruffian#she just likes fighting for fun#its the anger and the hatred thats poisoning her soul#if only she could find an opponent who is willing to fight her with honor and respect#¯\_(ツ)_/¯

this so-called "pop psychology" is a crazy thing. i think it wont be a surprise to anyone if i admit that for years now i have been working through symptoms that also overlap with covert narcissism (obsession with self-loathing, vulnerability to criticism, desire for attention) and while i generally avoid seeking advice regarding mental health online, in my most vulnerable moments i just cant help it.... and when i look up this particular topic, its especially horrifying how demonized narcissists are.
even when you look up "how to recover AS a narcissist", all the results focus on being a victim of a narcissist. to most people, a narcissist is a monster that you have to get away from, who wont ever love or deserve love, who doesnt deserve help even because they just wont get better. if a narcissist seeks help, it means theyve been misdiagnosed after all, because a real narcissist would NEVER want to change. if a narcissist claims that they have been cured, they are also lying as an attempt to manipulate and abuse people further. any narcissist's existence in your life is equal to them abusing you, of course. you are a narcissist forever, and theres no hope for you.
with my ocd, i think i got already used to people assuming intrusive thoughts really make us abusive and violent....... but never being diagnosed with narcissism, seeing my very flaws that haunt me be treated as The Irrefutable Evil, its horrifying like nothing else. am i really making any progress, or am i only getting better at hiding my monstrosity and manipulating people into thinking im a good person? even if i do heal and move past it, can i ever be sure its gone, or have i just mastered emotional abuse? can i ever be redeemed, can i ever get past it? because internet says that a narcissist should never be trusted.... so do i just live with that forever. your existence is bad in its core. your progress is a lie. your empathy is an illusion. dont get close to another person
#sorry just had to get it off my chest :-) i hate being a cluster of mental illnessess...so much#pogaduchy

i mean, bad did kill and try to kill red a lot on the first day, along with blue team and green team lol. lore-wise, red team don’t like either teams tbh because of that. they hold a grudge lol
yesterday, bad and tubbo came to red’s spawn and tried to kill foolish and baghera (tbh i didn’t watch the full vod so i don’t even know if there was a reason?), and failed. bad begging to spawnkill foolish probs didn’t make him look good either lmaoo
the only reason red is having this temporary alliance with green is to let them have a win which they def deserve. also it makes sense for them to balance the scores since we still don’t know who the cursed team is!
this is just my opinion ^ i mostly main red so hopefully i was able to shine a light as to their motives and why they do see bad the way they do. they very much are roleplaying most of this event, so a majority of the actions taken against them are going to be considered lore n stuff and treated as such
i see the points of lore and roleplay but ok, if you dont know landduo's dynamic (foolish n bad) i think bad would spawnkill him outside of this death game, just for fun, like theyre tom n jerry but they both think its absolutely hilarious. foolish was even like "go ahead dude"
and day two, green found blue's base and plundered it,, blue doesnt have a vendetta against green, not really. red also killed missa yesterday, and almost found their base, they had to hide in a cave.
bad is playing somewhat dirty tactics because honestly his team doesnt have good pvp-ers. like, red has manpower and numbers, plus philza and carre are like, near etoiles level of pvp. lets say if pvp is 1-100, etoiles is 90, and philza is like 80, idk carre very well but hes like 85ish i think. Bad is one of blue's best pvp-ers (i think pac is technically the best on blue, and then tubbo probs) bad is like a 70ish, not as good as people make him out to be, he's better on a team.
because of etoiles, people think that bad is a pvp machine, but like, he's better at the long game. he's better when he can work on a team and figure out long term strategies
so of course him and blue are gonna use 'dirtier' strats because due to numbers and pvp skills they cant take either of the other teams in head on combat. they cant, theyd get blasted.
TLDR: all of this means, basically, i get its rp, but it feels misplaced and unfair. maybe i need to blame the characters ig, i think the hanging onto revenge is one of their worst traits. revenge makes for good rp, i get that, but its not useful for the long term goals of the islanders, imo. plus it makes it hard for bad to go "hey can we hang out?" because he isnt gonna apologize for doing what he did because its wasnt unfairly cruel, esp compared to what red's done. like,, its frustrating.
in rp they can go "you're a monster!" but when qbad just, isnt,, idk how bad's supposed to respond to that, ya know?

Can you rant about WotC's Orcs, please?
Orcs are such a fucking waste and also a byproduct of the Tolkenization of dnd. Orcs are - from LOTR - corrupted elves who chose to become servents of Saron's sugar daddy Morgath or whatever the fuck (can't be bothered to look up the asshole's name rn) so the reason they are 'evil' isn't bc they are biologically bad because they are orcs - its because they chose to serve the Big Bad Evil TM. or were tortured? p sure the first ones chose to but not the point
There are So Many cool monsters mentioned in passing in one of the books and the most mudane boring bland ass 'hur dur they evil' tone to all of the descriptions. WHy. You are telling me there is a whole section on orcs that ride flying bats and you made it immediatly unappealing? Your telling me there are badass women who grow out their nails to claws to worship their god and you made them BORING???
The only things i would keep about orcs is their religious fanatisism. I like that about them - i think they deserve a whole well thought out religion, whether it be a highly organized church or a more nebulous worship. A whole pantheon of gods and such. Give it to them. As a treat. Lord knows they need sometjing to validate their holy wars.
Another thing is that it is mentioned that women in their culture are oppressed. Arent you tired of oppressing women WotC? Like - yea okay sure sexism is Yet another thing we should discsluss but why is it the Catholic brand of 'women is object'? If ur gonna fantasy my real life issue, at least consider in the context of the culture Why that is.
Halflings in my lore are sexist towards women, because rhey have a patriarichal monarchy. HOWEVER. It isnt the same as 'women opressed and must obey man'. Female halflings arent so much as oppressed as forgotten. They are a legal loophole - many rights (and offenses) simply doesnt apply to half the populatuon because the inheritance of property is so important to them - ans can only be passed on by men.
Is it good? No. Is it right? No - but thats not the point. No society is "good or bad" inherantly. Its how a society interacts with the morals ans values of another that dictates how it is perceived. So Orcs are likely 'evil' to creatures who dont beleive in their holy violence. But that doesnt mean they eat babies or whatever.
Tldr: orcs are to evil what elves are to good - a rip off and cop out. Use ur brain ans actually tell me sometjint abt them besides rhey kill people and are religious - you just described Paladins and Clerics!!!! And also catholics
#pf2e#ttrpg community#dnd 5e homebrew#dungeons and dragons#aggressivethoughts#aggressiveasks#aggressivelore#ttrpg#orcs#halflings#worldbuilding#i really got to get around to posting all my dnd lore...

I fear that i would be sad and becoming a hateful bigot that calls anything that’s different to the norm ‘bad’.How do i become not like this?
well i think the first thing to do is to throw out the idea that you have any clue what 'normal' even is! because none of us do!
normal is a very subjective term. it is affected by the country you grew up in, the culture and religion of your family, the media you consume regularly, the people you spend time with most often, the list goes on
you will never truly understand the vast extent of The Human Experience because there will always be experiences you cannot relate to or empathise with no matter how hard you try. so you need to get into the mindset that Every Single Human Being deserves basic human rights no matter what. they deserve healthcare, housing, food and water, bodily autonomy, etc. because in a society where your rights can be taken away because you did something Bad, the people in charge will find a way to make the people they dont like into Bad People, so that they can get away with taking their rights away. see: homosexuals are paedophiles, trans women are predators, Muslims are terrorists, etc. etc. etc.
the only way to ensure your rights never be taken away is to make sure No Ones Rights Can Be Taken Away Ever, yes even Those people. yes, them too. when i say no one, i mean no one.
keeping an open mind and listening to other peoples experiences is also highly important. if something makes you uncomfortable, sit with that. think about Why it makes you uncomfortable, and whether that is a rational thing to feel about it or if it is a knee jerk reaction that was taught to you by your family or the society you grew up in.
you will have to accept that you Are going to be wrong about some things. you are not always the good guy in every story. you will say bigoted things or be ignorant about something or offend someone, even if you never intended to. and your response to that should not be "omg i didnt mean it im not a bigot i would never do anything bigoted my mums brothers dogs cousin is [insert minority group]!!", it should be "ok, i messed up here. i clearly have much more to learn on this subject. im so sorry for [thing you did/said] and for any harm it caused, i will educate myself so that this doesnt happen again."
and its important to remember that having some internalised bigoted beliefs doesnt make you an Evil Person, you were just raised in a bigoted society. of course you're going to pick these things up thats what humans do! we learn from and copy the behaviours of those we grow up with as children. but you do have to do the work to challenge those beliefs and educate yourself. i believe that people should always be given the opportunity to grow and change, and that often times bigoted behaviour comes from a place of ignorance and fear. these people will never change their beliefs if we treat them like irredeemable monsters, it will just push them further away.
anyway thats my take on it i suppose. other people will have different opinions. i hope this helped you in some way :)

ugghh thinking.
the reason in so upset is that i was doing so well before all of this happened. i was ready to have a healthy relationship with someone again. and then because i had the apparent audacity to go on a date with someone while my friend was still getting over her ex, i was told i should kill myself and that i would never find meaningful connection again. suddenly i couldnt see most of my friends anymore and suddenly he became the only person i had. i hate that i've been made to rely on him this way. i remember when things were starting out and i told him that my happiness didnt depend on him. as much as talking to him made me happy, i was happy before i met him too. i was so happy and normal and now im losing sleep waiting for him to text me back because him not talking to me means i have nobody to talk to. it's not good. something has to give. i think im gonna text him soon to let him know i care about him and im there if he needs me, but otherwise i think im gonna take a step back from it all because i dont think im a healthy person to be with right now. it just sucks that other people can decide to take everything from you. that someone can just decide youve abandoned them and that no amount of apologizing will make you a human being worth treating with kindness again. all i was was a doll in a dollhouse and the moment i stopped acting in accordance with the role that was dreamed up for me i became some horrible monster who apparently deserved to be raped. and now because of that my knee jerk reaction is fear again. i had unlearned that fear. and now its back. why do i have to give everything up and heal just because someone else hurt me? it's not fair, and i know thats just the way things go but it doesnt make it hurt any less. im gonna try to reconnect with as many of my friends as possible, but i think im gonna try to figure out a way to get to my aunt's house and stay there for a month or two. i was hoping i could go up to canada with her for a week to help my grandparents settle in for the summer, but things are too complicated up there for her to be able to pick me up from the airport. idk. i know leaving shit behind is what fixed me last time, but i struggled to do it then too. im just scared of leaving behind the people that still care about me. what i REALLY wish i could do is go out to bumfuck nowhere washington for like a month and just live with my buddies nick and aidan. i think that would unironically fix my life in a much more significant way

it also helps VICTIMS.
my ex-partner was abusive. it took me a long time to actually realize and accept that.
why? because they weren't behaving like the classic "abuser" i knew from tv. they weren't beating me black and blue, they weren't threatening me or stalking me or locking me up or yelling at me all the time.
my abuser was very loving and kind and understanding and supportive and funny and affectionate some of the time. not all the time, but they were a good partner at times.
which made it hard for me to see past the good times and reconcile them with the bad parts. they were treating me badly "for a reason", or because i "deserved" it, or it was "an accident", or "they didn't mean it" or they were in "bad mood" or had "mental health struggles". because how could somebody be supportive and loving sometimes be an abuser? how absurd!
and i kept looking for answers, everywhere. and online i pretty much only read one opinion: abusers are evil, manipulative people, that have been planning to abuse you before they even met you, and all their actions have been 100% calculated to make it to this point where you cant leave and are at their mercy.
which, honestly, doesnt seem believable? yall are telling me justin the college guy has been performing some kind 108 step plan in order to abuse his girlfriend because.. he feels like it? or is irrevocably evil? because abusers just gonna abuse, thats just how they are?
truth is: people that abuse others are humans. many of them are acting the way they are because they dont know any differently / have their own issues and are, most likely, acting out on their own feelings and perceptions the only way they can think off.
i yelled at my ex, and even threw things at the ground, but that doesnt mean im an abuser. i did those things for a reason. mainly anger and hurt. people that abuse others do that for similar reason.
thats, of course, a much more hurtful reality than simply going "oh some people are just Evil Bad Monsters and theres nothing to be done about it" which i get, but i think thats an important lesson to learn.
This is about succession in general but take it for any story.
#also oh boyyyyyyy#supportive groups for abuse victims are like a great hunting ground for terfs and whatever#dont let anybody weaponize ur hurt for more hate

ok im gonna drop my character analysis on splinter/lou jitsu because im tired of people hating on him.
lets think about the circumstances he was in for moment. image you spent your life as a kickass action star only to get kidnapped by the person you loved and forced to fight in the battle nexus. you have to go through the grief of being betrayed by someone you shouldve been able to trust while now living in a chamber (which looks like it has just the poorest living conditions) and you have zero contact to the outside world, AND your ex who got you into this mess is using you for profit and throws you into fights you have no say in for peoples entertainment for who knows how long! i dont think its ever been stated how long he has been living like that!
now on top of all that imagine the moment you escape you get turned into a fucking rat. now i know its usually joked about but seriously being a rat does seem to really bother splinter and if you think about for like 5 seconds? yeah? why wouldnt it? he basically had his body changed in ways he did not consent to.
so yeah obviously after all that this guy is mentally ill as fuck and i bring all this up because of course it affects his parenting. imagine going through all that and now you have to be a dad to FOUR children (all of which are babies at this time) that you understand none of the biology of, and you have to raise them with ZERO outside support (seriously why doesnt anyone talk about that. what does he do if he needs someone to babysit them or one of them gets sick cause he aint a docter) all this combined makes me think yeah. ofc hes not gonna do a good fucking job.
and when the boys are teenagers and dont need the 24/7 supervision they did as babies. you see splinter spending a lot of his time watching tv melting into the recliner because * drum roll * he is depressed. i do not think he is lazy i think he is depressed and probably traumatized but he never had time to process that trauma because he had to be a dad.
because he spends so much time sulking in the living room his sons (specifically donnie) feel like he doesnt want to spend time with them and are reasonably upset with him.
so in the 22nd episode of the first season when splinter tricks donnie into entering the demolition derby. that was an eye opener for him to be better. he saw the absolute hurt in donnie’s eyes and tone of voice because he thought he wanted to spend time with him. that was the eye opener he needed to realize “oh shit. i really fucked up. i need to spend time with my sons. i need to be better for them.” and he apologizes to donnie because yeah, what he did wasnt okay.
and you can tell he changed for his sons because in “hidden city’s most wanted” you can tell all he wanted to do was spend time with mikey.
and the thing is there is nothing that can convince me his sons (and april to admitably) dont mean the fucking world to him. when draxum tells him that before him he had no purpose, that he was a husk of a man he says hes not lost anymore because he has his sons. his sons were the first thing he thought of when he needed a reason to why his life didnt fucking suck now.
this man went against the hamato clan teachings and almost got all of humanity killed for the sake of his sons. he loves his sons and he hasnt been great to them and he wants to change because he knows they deserve better. there is literally so much love emanating from this family.
a lot of people say that splinter is abusive/neglectful and im not denying that hes not perfect but jesus you can criticize his parenting without treating him like an irredeemable monster (because he is redeemable and he did change for the better)
also i know yall arent gonna wanna hear this but someones gotta say it cause its the truth: in general people will be harder on ethnic parents and treat them less like actual people capable of making mistakes. yes splinter is a rat but he is still ethnically japanese. he is a person of color and as someone whos been in fandom for awhile yeah people are suspiciously a lot more forgiving to white parents who make mistakes compared to when parents of color make them. i really do think its causing a bias.

So, I just finished The Devil Judge [SPOILERS AHEAD]
SPOILERS. You have been warned.
omfg
OH MY GAWD
First of all, catch Ga On sending innocents to the electric chair so he can have Yo Han come back
I’m not even fucking kidding
Okay but where do I fucking start
I made my last post when I’d only seen up to episode 6.
First of all the final two episodes were fucking masterpieces
I said what I said
I love that Elijah still didn’t find out the truth. Seeing Yo Han scream and struggle while having a panic attack at the thought of Elijah finding out the truth, I’m so GLAD that Ga On did not tell Elijah the truth.
Literally catch me shedding 11 tears
Seon Ah killing herself, I did NOT see that coming at all. And the flashback to Yo Han reaching his hand out to her, the idea that “It’s always going to come back to just us two in the final moments” trope that worked SO WELL
And she couldn’t kill him, she loved him, and that love endured to when it came down to her or him, she chose him
And though romance wasnt a main plot point (thank god) and romance is my LEAST favorite genre, the subtlely of that love was very well done and in the end I felt very much for Seon Ah.
Ga On on the phone with that piece of shit Supreme Court guy like, “ Yo Han is a pitiful person, he didn’t do what you said” AND THAT
WEAsEL
convincing Ga On
and the KNIfE SceNE
and YO GUYS I REALLY THOUGHT THE PARALLEL OF HIM STOPPING THE KNIFE AND SOO HYEON STOPPING THE KNIFE WAS A SIDE BY SIDE COMPARISON FROM THE FANDOM, I DIDNT KNOW IT WAS CANON, LIKE, IN THE ACTUAL SCENE
But I wonder, was that parallel coorelating Soo Hyeon saying “It’s not worth it” in regards to stabbing Yo Han or was that a direct parallel to Yo Han stopping him...to say like...I am the monster so I will let you kill me if you want but you will regret it, which is what Soo Hyeon was saying
Help me understand that parallel fully, I think I know but it’s like REALLY complicated because if it was meant to be interpreted as Do Yeong Chul and Yo Han are the monsters, OR if its to be interpreted as Ga On sees Yo Han as someone riteous to listen to like Soo Hyeon because he stopped the knife???
Because if its meant to be read that way, that Yo Han is someone that Ga On now puts in the same category as Soo Hyeon, all stemming from him stopping the knife, I’m trying to figure out what that means
ok anyway moving on
catch me sliding into the thoughts of Ga On
I feel like the the last parts of episode 15, through the end, Yo Han elevated in Ga On’s mind as someone he loves dearly (platonically or not, doesnt matter).
He told Yo Han “I will go with you” with the bomb
like
WHAT
I read an interview with Jinyoung saying that Yo Han was like a magnet to Ga On, he drew him in. And I really see that. He comes across as a character that observes very well, one that watches. And He was just staring at Yo Han’s face with tears in his eyes telling him that he will go with him
I mean at the end of episode 15 when he found out the truth, he said he wanted to die
Why?
Because he felt he treated Yo Han wrong? Even though he was the only person who tried to understand him as a human being, he still thought him capable or doing something that he didn’t do, that he was really accepting the hate and the demonization from others in order to protect someone he pretended not to care about in order to protect her?
Like, I love that
I love that Ga On now sees himself as someone that must be redeemed because he feels Yo Han deserves that justice and that peace
but like the complete admiration, and love, and acceptance from Ga On, the COMPASSION is what makes him such a likeable character
like, he had those moments walking through the house after he thought Yo Han killed himself where he had flashbacks of moments together with Yo Han, but it was the moments he chose to remember
Yo Han looking back at him with kind eyes while they were picking out clothes for Ga On in Yo Han’s closet
Ga On reaching out to touch Yo Han after he is vulnerable from waking up from a nightmare and looking at the face of someone who looks so much like his dead brother (at this point in time, I DO believe Ga On recognizes that was a very, very vulnerable moment for Yo Han because Yo Han wasn't in his right mind, and Ga On knows he looks like Yo Han’s older brother, which is why he chose to remember it)
The tower of cards that he pretended to knock over, showing Yo Han being playful and smiling
He chose to remember aspects of Yo Han that were warm and kind. Gentle. Vulnerable. And that to me was the moment that made me cry. Like, HARD.
Out of the things he chooses to think about, he chooses to focus on the aspects of Yo Han that made him human because he was someone who went through trauma and pain and lived in that hell everyday but was still capable of those moments
THE HuG in EPsSOdE 15
THE ANGER LIKE HOW THE FUCK DID YOU NOT TELL ME YOU WERE ALIVE THEN THE HUG AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
ok and finally, the ending scene with the
“What should I do now, to help create a world that doesn’t need Yo Han?” The underlying symbolism smacked me in the jowls. What do I do now, to live in a world without Yo Han?
then
“DO WELL OR I WILL BE BACK”
AND THE CHASE
The desperation to see him one last time, literally sprinting out of a judicial meeting to discuss laws to implement and he zipped out of there
The final meeting between them was poetic and beautiful
Yo Han turning to let Ga On see that he is okay, that he will be okay
Ga On’s expression shifting from relief to questioning to sad and longing and finally to peaceful and even happy (which I think was for Yo Han’s benefit here, when Yo Han turned back around, Ga On’s face shifted back to sadness and longing a little bit. I think he was happy FOR Yo Han, I don’t think he himself was happy at all because it meant that Yo Han was leaving)
No words needed, what a masterpiece
(I say that as i write a thesis)
The Devil Judge was a pleasure to watch, a truly rare show that comes along once in a while for me that I truly loved and enjoyed.
Hit me up if yal want to talk
I think that’s all I feel for now
((Side note, I've watched the actor who plays Kang Yo Han, Ji sung, for a long time now. What a phenomenal actor. I am of the firm belief that while this story is mostly told through the eyes of Ga On, we feel it through Yo Han.))
((Side side note, his prison getup was superior))
((Side side side note, have a shot every time Ga On says KANG YO HAN in the last two episodes))
#the devil judge#kang yo han#elijah#kim ga on#yo han#ga on#jinyoung#Ji sung#masterpiece#kdrama#rare gem#never forget#i cried#and im on anti depressants do you know how hard it is for any tears to penetrate through these pills#and many did#MANY#it was a privilage yal#have a great day#sounding off

but do you ever think about how much wylan took comfort in kaz being a monster? how much he respected kaz? in the scene when he finds out his mother is alive, and jesper comforts him, he tells him that kaz will ruin his fathers life, and he believes it. he doesnt just believe it, he completely knows that its true.
he completely trusts kaz, because kaz doesnt care if he cant read, kaz doesnt care what he cant do, unlike his father, kaz needs him. even if kaz denies it, wylan still feels needed, wanted, for once, and he feels it even more, because his job is something simple he can achieve, things hes good at.
not just that, but he likes that kaz is ruthless. it means that nothing will stop him, and that makes him look up to kaz in a way. kaz wore his disability, his broken leg, with pride, something wylan himself was never able to do.
its also because at one point, before he knew of his sons inability to read, van eck actually loved wylan. he treated him like a father should, which meant that wylan loved him, and as he grew older, there was still a part of him that remembered how it used to be. with kaz, it was never like that. wylan feels comfort knowing he can never love kaz the way he loved van eck, and never get into that situation again.
wylan knows what kaz’s nature is, and if kaz ever betrayed him, it wouldn’t be so surprising, but he was young when his father gave up on him, his first betrayal, from a person he didn’t think he would ever be let down by.
kaz is the first ever person to treat him his age, who has placed a certain amount of trust in him, giving him jobs and leaving him to work alone if he wishes. he isnt being looked after all the time, and to wylan, it makes all the difference. furthermore, wylan gets to choose his company, something i bet you he wasnt allowed to do at home. kaz’s methods are very different than van eck, but its the first time wylan gets the attention he needs and deserves. all kaz does is give wylan the task and trust him to carry it out himself.
that said, imagine how terrified wylan would have been when carrying out his first task. the first time in his entire life he was supposed to do something by himself, and he was supposed to do it right. he couldnt mess up; hed have the bastard of the barrel after him. so its the first time hes expected to do something on his own for someone else, but this time, its something he can do, something hes good at. something hes probably never been asked to do in his life, because van eck doesnt care what wylans good at.
that is all. thank you for coming to my ted talk.

Illena character analysis
The unrighteousness of the Hierarchy took Illena's fragile state of mind and twisted her into a monster. And while we can understand her cruel actions and such she should still be held accountae as she is deserving of the consequences. Narratively, She is not a sympathetic character but instead a pitiful character due to how she is presented in the story
But to provide some background, the high rankers dictating the lives of people beneath them reinforced the idea that power is everything to the mid tiers and that if you have it you're better than anyone who is weaker than you and are allowed to do what you want to them basically, that's part of the why the mid tiers bully the low rankers so much, because that sort of thing is justifiable in their world due to the hierachy.
But they aren't just doing it because they believe that they deserve it, it's deeper than that. The mid tiers want to be respected and or atleast acknowledged/taken seriously for the strength that they possess, just like the high tiers. And with that being said, there are things that the mid tiers cannot do in society because they're simply not strong enough, and because of they're forced to conform to what the high rankers tell them. The mid tiers quite literally hate that they have to listen to the high rankers because they will suffer the consequences and get beat up if they dont. Point is, they're just picking on the lower tiers to feel good about themselves and vent their frustrations in a system where power is everything. Illena is no exception
But she practically sees a former god tier acting all high and mighty/condescending when they've literally been rendered powerless, and notice that they are now attempting to take the moral high ground since that they're the one being discriminated against after losing everything. High tiers wanted mid tiers to know their place but cannot accept their own if they're not in a position of power, that is what Illena learns here.
think about it, all of a sudden they neglect the entire structure of the system and consider beating up low tiers as an injustice when they did not care about what happened to them at all when they were on top of the food chain where she perpetuated the same caste system because it was once beneficial for her. And that seriously pisses off Illena because to her this must mean that Sera still thinks that she's better than them even without any abilities because she decides to fight back/retaliate, perceiving the mid tiers as week (protecting other low tiers in the process and more importantly acting as if she still owns them by telling them what to do and getting into their business, as Illena has said)
And Illena doesnt just kidnap Sera to get back at her specifically, but all of the high tiers in a sense, their arrogance entitlement, etc etc only using Seraphina as an outlet for all of their pent up frustration and hurt. She didn't even see them as an individual, but just another high tier, as we see when Illena addresses Sera using words such as "you guys" "her kind" "them".
Illena basically just wanted to hammer in notion that the high tiers were nothing without their powers to get rid of that same high tier like mindset ingrained in Sera's head to establish her place in the hierarchy as the most worthless and incompetent student in Wellston. All she wanted was for Seraphina to learn her place and act her rank accordingly. Because as a cripple she's worthless, and she should act/be treated as such. For in this society power is everything, and high tiers were the ones who ebstablised this with their Hierachy. Seeing Seraphina acting like she was better than them was unacceptable after everything the high tiers perpetuated
Which we can see here
In this instance, Illena wanted Sera to admit that they were better than her and that she was beneath them
And so, when she refuses. Illena gets pissed off because of her stubbornness, this is when the others step up and tell her that what she's doing is excessive.
Here Krolik implies that they should let Sera go, and this isn't what he tjinks but everyone else present too, as seen as other mid tiers stand by his side. But I am not saying that they felt remorse for Sera necessarily, but felt that torturing her was unnecessary and that if they kept her hostage/continued abusing her they would be severely punished once they're eventually caught, and that just isn't worth it to them as they know that beating her up will ultimately change nothing in the long run, anyway. They just wanted to get back at her for what she did... But not like this
Basically, they want Illena to accept that they don't need confirmation to know that they're better than her, it's a given seeing as Sera's a cripple, having no value/worth. She should just give up...
But she's refuses.....out of pride, insecurity. Needing reassurance, a sense of superiority above someone that was better than them for so long as she is offended by their hypocrisy and double standards
..Anyways when Arlo catches them and calls them disgusting, Illena calls him out for valuing a cripple above the rest of them when they were stronger than her, as following the structure of his hierarchy he shouldn't even care. Usually he would just ignore them anyway. And while it is debateble on whether or not Arlo would do anything if it was someone he didnt know the fact that Illena genuinely believed that he wouldn't step in only reinforces how bad the system really is where no one expects a high tiers to help someone beneath them when they're in trouble. She also said that the high tiers dictate the lives of the people beneath them because they were born gifted and get specials privilege because of it, just because they are stronger than everyone else. And Illena is frustrated that they have to listen to the high tiers, because they're punished if they don't comply, to her it's unfair. The high tiers did whatever they wanted with the mid tiers because they were above them, so the mid tiers should be able to do whatever they want with Sera as she is beneath *them*.
But Arlo just ignores her, and this reinforces her belief that the royals dont care about the feelings/opinions of anyone beneath them since it doesn't matter what lower tiers think because the high tankers will always be stronger, meaing they dont have to listen to shit(The lions do not concern themselves with the opinions of the sheep). And that pisses her off. In that moment, she disregards his rank. Pushing past her fear and trying to sucker punch that bitch. As the only way to get your point across in this world is through violence….but the realization that she can't do shit begins to sink in once she receives reflective damage from his barrier, serving as a reminder that no matter what they really can't do anything, because they're not strong enough. Turns out her little stunt was nothing but a meaningless attempt to change the status quo, this hits Illena hard. And she just accepts that she will probably be expelled
And with all of that said Illena might've been a hypocrital bitch but she still had a valid point. And if anything her being a hypocrite only reinforced how bad the system is at hand as well. Simply put, Illena represents the struggles of being a mid tier and sheds light on their mentality and what they deem jusifiable as a result of their system. She also provides insight on the damaging us vs them mentality and actually had a point in her rant to the high tiers. She had actual depth to her actions other than just being an asshole and had something of importance to say
I like her as a character study. I think her motivations are pretty realistic in context of the world she lives in. She's an product of her environment that shaped her into becoming this bully who resents the higher ups because of their privellege.
And that my friend, is why I like Illena as a character from a narrative standpoint

🔫😃 give us them monster au Majima deets I dare you /hj
I'm invested, I wanna know stuff, like; What was the interaction between Kiryu and Majima like after the reveal? How did Haruka find out? Was it because she lives with Kiryu or did Majima tey to keep her oblivious to it as long as he can because no.?
I WANT THE DEETS AND I WANT EM NOW
(ya don't need ta do nothin if ya don't wanna, take yer time, I just wanna show excitement with this :>)
THANK YOU for the interest I am constantly excited to talk about things and will 100% share what deets I have
(Update: this got... WAY longer than I anticipated. So im putting it behind a readmore. sorry for the wall of text I got very passionate suddenly!!)
disclaimer: I have very little solid 'canon' established and 99% of this will be stuff I make up on the spot cause thats just how I do these things
So, in my head this all takes place after the events of the first game- Kiryu's been to jail, gets out, 10 billion yen drama ect. I think it would be peak drama if Majima accidentally let slip during the fight at Shangri-la that he isn't human, he got so hyped up on the idea of a 'fight to the death' with Kiryu (which, lets be honest, was probably a bit of suicidal ideation on his part because he wanted Kiryu to utterly destroy him) that he couldn't control himself and Kiryu gets an eyeful of claws and teeth and horns. But because things are so fucking manic during that point in the game, Kiryu deadass writes it off as a weird hallucination/'this might as well be happening' because he has WAY too much going on.
it's only after the games finished and Kiryu settles down, decides hes going to adopt Haruka and is trying to get his affairs in order when he's like. Holy Shit What Was Up With That.
Majima hasn't shown his face around him since because he becomes convinced Kiryu seeing that means hes going to despise him and/or try to kill him so he crawls into his hole to mope about it and Kiryu has to genuinely jump through hoops trying to find where he is. He was concerned! Eventually he gets in touch with Nishida who is equally worried about his boss (he knows Majima's secret but is sworn not to tell anyone) so he just. quietly tells Kiryu where Majima is living right now and prays it wont come back to bite him in the ass
He goes, Majima initially attempts to be like 'haha you hit your head pretty hard down there-' and write it off like that but Kiryu is nothing if not persistent and eventually he has a little meltdown about it and finally just shows him. Majimas been in a super weird mental state since Shimano died and hes just like, at his breaking point, so he figures 'fuck it, if Kiryu hates me, whatever' at that point
OBVIOUSLY Kiryu doesnt, hes just like. dude are you okay
they have a long ass talk about it and what happened and it all sort of culminates in an awkward love confession because turns out wow you two REALLY care about each other, huh!
Majima also shares that hes only really still in the yakuza because he feels like its the only place he belongs, that a monster like him doesn't deserve anything resembling a normal life. its that conversation that starts him on the path to realizing he's not happy there tbh
Im SEVERELY rambling at this point but. after a lot of emotional catharsis between these two they promise to try to make something work. majima considers leaving the yakuza, and kiryus going to make a home with haruka. and while hes not ready to join them properly, just yet, he's... thinking about it. in the meantime, he's heard some cool stuff about construction as a business, and he's lookin' into it.
they kept it from Haruka for a while, mostly because Majima is super not comfortable showing people. He didnt spend a lot of time around her because he still felt guilty about the kidnapping thing, but eventually Kiryu pushes him to try to apologize properly and make amends. Haruka is obviously suspicious of him but, I think shes got a good judge of character when it comes to if someones being earnest, and its clear Majima wasn't acting of his own volition. (She blackmails him for lots of ice cream as an apology.)
Eventually she picks up on the fact they're hiding *something* because of how like, furtive Majima becomes when he stays with Kiryu and how he's almost never actually around, especially since he loves being the center of attention otherwise. So they brace themselves for it all to come crashing down when they tell her.
It honestly... goes fine. Maybe its just cause she's a kid and was way more willing to believe monsters exist, but it's not quite the 100% world-shaking revelation. It does set them back a bit and there's a lot of convincing that 'not all monsters are evil', but eventually she settles on. 'he's not scary. he's just kind of weird.' and you know what? majima will 100% take that.
(also she thinks its funny how he purrs when you touch his ears a certain way. he's like a big weird puppy.)
okay goddamn this post got long enough as is but. thank you again for the interest I have... so many words in my brain about this. Ideally id love to write a proper fic but im really not great at structured writing like that- it takes a helluva lot of a work compared to just infodumping into a big nightmare post like this. One Day.
I mad appreciate any and all interest though! Like, at its heart this is a hurt/comfort kinda au, and my end-goal is for Majima to realize being a monster doesn't mean he doesn't get to be happy or that he doesn't deserve to be treated like a human. it is vitally important to me that these two old sad men be happy together and build a better life lmao
#I hope its ok to put this in the main tag im. just i like talking about this aaahh#goro majima#kazuma kiryu#monster au#im also gonna tag all this content as#longjima#because thats my silly nickname for his monster form#this is probably very disjointed and weird to read i am just!! my syndromes are activating you know

Tbf the heroes don't know what happened to Tenko. They look at Shiggy and see a guy who attacked USJ and tried to kill the Symbol of Peace, who organised attack on a summer training camp and kidnapped a kid, who leveled down a whole city and who now is leveling another one. They don't see a victim bc they don't know he is one. But they do see the damage he does and act accordingly.
Yeah but thats not all they see. Especially this arc. Heroes arent stupid. They have enough information to see Shigaraki as victim.
1- They know that there is no sign about Shigaraki in records which means hever never go to school like normal kids, he didnt get quirk counseling, but most importantly it means that society never support Shigaraki Tomura, if they were, they would know.
2- They know Shigaraki is mentally child and they also know that he just NEW started to grow, they immediately realized there might be some adult behind the kid. Someone who groomed him.
3- Then, later they found All For One. The person who is behind of the kid. Afo is a man who is famous with manipulating people. When they heard about this, again, they could understand. Afo made it clear that he wants Shigaraki to be successor and again another proof that Shigaraki was groomed.
4- Shimura Tenko. Allmight and Gran Torino literally know what kind of person Afo is. They even knew that Afo targeted the kid, they must’ve been understand there is something wrong with this sitution, like Shigaraki didnt become this way because he is evil but they kept it as secret. They said they will research but there is no voice since then.
5- Kurogiri. They literally saw that how Shirakumo, hero student became a dangerous villain. Not only they saw how good person can become a villain but also they saw Shirakumo is still in there. That there is a hope.
6- Noumus. Heroes knew that noumus are people who are victim of science. Shigaraki was in one of that tupes, he was being used and treated as tool but instead of thinking he might be victim, they dehumanized him more and more.
etc etc etc.
Its not that they dont understand Shigaraki is victim but easier to believe that he is not cause saving him would be hard.
Now, you might say that somes knows nothing about those informations, they dont know everything.
For the ones who knows something, they are the ones who could’ve change things but they chose not to. Like Gran Torino who knows Afo and Shimura history or Aizawa who literally ignored the evidence that Shigaraki is might be just like Eri, just like Kurogiri.
Well, for people who know none of them, i wouldnt fully blame them but problem is more like the way system is. The heroes who knows something about it, literally covered it up and didnt even warn people about it. The posibility that Shigaraki is a victim.
Because they dont actually interested in changing things or rehabilition of villains. The system is normalizied the violence towards villains that most heroes ignore the fact that villains are humans too.
You might say what else they could do? Well, many things actually cause heroes are the ones who have the power in society. They are the ones who control of the sitution.
They could talk about this subject, instead of covering up. They could research about it more. They could at least listen and trying to understand this sitution.
You might say They have no time to talk.
But funny, they have time to blame him for existing.
And yeah, i guess, burning someone alive or trying to kill him is easier than talking...
You might say But Shigaraki needs to be stop so they have no choice to do this.
Yeah, Shigaraki needs to be stopped, of course, they cant let people die. But they have no choice? This is not true.
In story, many times it shown that heroes know how to be amazing when they wanted to. They can make a lot of miracles in most impossible situtions and at least, they always try. Why? Cause they think its worth it. And in those times, they will try their best.
It’s not that they cant save Shigaraki. Its that they cant bother with it. They think its not wothy to save someone like that. They will literally ignore every evidence in front of them. Even though, Shigaraki literally showed his suffering in front of them.
You might say why they would care about murderer’s suffering but again, its about the system they are in. The way villains are treated. Just because someone is criminal or villain, it doesnt mean they deserve to die or being treated as less human being. They ignore Shigaraki cause thats how villains are treated in society and they dont plan to change it cause they are so blinded by system.
And again, they wont try to save Shigaraki cause he doesnt cry like Eri or openly asking for help. They think good people will always stay good and they will hold their feelings forever but this is impossible cause everyone has breaking point and despite heroes knows in deep that they will still ignore it.
And you might say Shigaraki and other villains didnt have to kill people etc etc but Like Shigaraki and story explained it many times;
the people in league, they were good people and they tried, they endured, until enduring pain is not being a option, since society doesnt listen, destruction is literally the only way of victims can express their pain.
So; Villains can only express theirselves with destruction cause noone will listen to them. Heroes can do something but they wont cause they dont understand the suffering of victims in society.
Now, dont get me wrong. I love heroes cause i love the idea of saving someone but in bnha, heroes are really not heroes. All hero side is have is idea of hero, ieda of justice, they are in love with idea of heroes so much, they will ignore the victims who needs to be saved.
I dont necessarely think that they are bad or good people. When i analyzie someone, i only focus that person, not all at once. Not every heroes are same kind of person. I am sure that some of them are really good intentionally people, just like Deku but some heroes are really at fault and they intentionally ignoring things and make it worse.
The problem with hero side is not that they are evil but they are in pretty messed up system and they dont even try to change it cause they dont understand how much messed up it is. Some truly dont understand, some ignores, some use this for their selfish desires, with every way, its hard to root for them when they are supporting this messed up system while ignoring victims They dont even try to understand which is so frustrating, especialy as we readers know flaws but heroes ignores and they dont even make any effort :///.
And again, i love justice, heroes etc etc but i have no intention of ignoring what they are doing right now. Cause villains at least admit but heroes always justify it and call it as justice and thats so messed up.
Lets say; I truly believe that Deku is kind, good person (he is my favorite character with Shigaraki) but i also think that what Deku doing to Shigaraki right now is wrong cause its not that Deku cant understand or do something else. He can but he doesnt see Shigaraki as worth it cause he is villain and in hero society villains are meant be destroyed by heroes. But i want Deku to face and understand this why its wrong, one day.
The reason i mostly rooting for league, despite loving idea of heroes is because league, villains are pitifull. They are live in pretty unhealthy environment, they live with heavy mental illness, they are treated as monsters and i dont see what else they could do but hero side, they are at least live in healthy environment, they have lifes, happy moments and they can do something but they chose not to. And at least, the things league, villains did are changing things, challeging the system but heroes dont do anything. I also believe that we are meant to root for Shigaraki’s group too, especially this arc.
(Hope you understand me, i dont really hate heroes and i have different opinion for every characters, i dont just divide them as villains and heroes but right now, its exteremely hard to root for them, well, i hope they can get good character developments already.)
