i like that we view Jimmy's actions against Anya through what he does to Curly, because we don't see what Anya goes through other than the aftermath through Jimmy's perspective. Curly wouldn't listen to Anya, and was then victimized by Jimmy as a result. The same way Anya loses her bodily autonomy through SA and pregnancy, Curly loses control over his own body.

When we (as Jimmy) feed Curly his own leg, we watch it go through his body and end up in his stomach and to me this represents Jimmy impregnating Anya. Using the ultrasound device to see this baby that represents Anya's child that ultimately opens Curly's eyes to how devastating Jimmy's actions against Anya really were. Even Jimmy viewing their mascot in a sexual manner turning him viewing it as his child shows his view of the world and his view of women. We don't see Jimmy gradually sinking into insanity and violent behavior, he's gone from the moment we meet him and just gets 10x worse with each scene

im gonna throw up the way anna ALSO refused to believe Lucie similarly to how curly would not help Anya 🥲 there are huge glaring differences in their situations but in refusing to accept what happened to their loved ones, they destroyed themselves i will never get over this I love martyrs sm

something about characters being forced to "witness" unspeakable actions while being completely trapped in their own living hell

Jimmy's view of polle and how it reflects his view of Anya/his actions against her >.<

what is Jimmy's relationship to polle? at the beginning of the game we learn that Jimmy has a sexual attraction to cartoon horses, which describes polle, although this seems like a joke, Jimmy doesn't deny it when Curly brings it up to him. throughout the game we see that Jimmy starts to view polle as almost a demonic entity, Jimmy becomes fearful of the image of polle that hes created. in a similar fashion to Alien (1979), a pregnancy as a result of SA is viewed as a horrific creature tormenting those around it, in mouthwashing this is polle's relationship to Jimmy. taking responsibility is something that comes up countless times for Jimmy, including confronting polle, or rather confronting his actions against Anya. Jimmy is someone who thinks in black and white, and at every turn he chooses to act selfishly. every time he is confronted with this specific issue, his SA against Anya, he sees the horror in it without seeing Anya's horror, or her reality. even towards the end, where he uses the ultrasound to see what looks like, to me at least, another version of polle or a horse/dog like creature. this action opens Curly's eyes, but not Jimmy's. I'm sure he knows his actions were wrong, but wrong to him isn't the same as wrong to the rest of the crew. Jimmy's view of polle and the people around him is perverse, he sees them as opportunities rather than colleagues. polle is the baby, and polle's image is tainted in Jimmy's eyes.

I also like that when we are playing from Jimmy's perspective, our options are short and direct, and only benefit Jimmy. like he only sees whatever benefits him the most as The only option. even curly would sacrifice himself and his crew in favor of Jimmy, a long time friend, but Jimmy would never do that for curly. he couldn't even respect the job they curly got for him, nevermind the small crew he's entrusted to work with.

constantly thinking of how easily Anna gave in to the torture, losing Lucie just pushed her so far over the edge that nothing mattered to her anymore, not even escaping. hearing Lucie's voice just pushed her even further into the hands of her captors. i think had she not seen Lucie die, she would've fought back more, but since she saw the death of the only person she loved, it was enough for her to give up entirely.
