i actually suspect that the gotchard writer situation is a lot like what went down with wizard, with the more experienced lead writer (tsuyoshi kida then, keiichi hasegawa now) getting backed up by a promising rookie that they want to train and get ready to show run themselves (junko komura then, hiroki uchida now)

Tumblr media
a couple exciting things arrived in the mail for me. (sorry for the low quality photos, my phone’s camera is really really bad)
Tumblr media
junko  enoshima nendoroid! i’ve been really excited for this! it’s my first ever nendoroid, and i’m very happy that it could be her. there’s a lot more small parts than i thought there were though!
Tumblr media
and  a twofer, here. on the left is Progressive -Zan Shin-, the ending theme  of danganronpa another episode sung by megumi ogata and aya uchida  (makoto naegi and komaru naegi respectively) , which also includes  poison -gekiyaku- as a b-side, which is a komaeda character song again  sung by megumi ogata.
on the right is the danganronpa 10th  anniversary blu-ray box set. now i don’t actually have a blu-ray player,  so i won’t be getting a lot of use out of this, but it’s cool to have. the main ‘attraction’ for most people would be the complete sets of danganronpa the animation and danganronpa 3… but for me, it also comes with a bunch of bonus stuff!
Tumblr media
first of all, the sound novel, kirigiri sou.
this is a sound novel starring kyouko kirigiri, set after danganronpa kirigiri and before dr1… and it’s probably not canon. i actually already archived a fan-translation for this, but i think i may try and rip the gamefiles if possible and put the game itself in the archive. we’ll see what i can do, at least.
Tumblr media
also comes with a copy of Super Danganronpa 2.5: Nagito Komaeda and the Destroyer of the World.
this was an ova released after dr3 finished, as part of the limited edition of NDRV3 in japan. never got an official english translation, but there‘s a pretty good fan-translation out there for it. i’ll be including that in the archive.
Tumblr media
and of course, there’s bonus discs, too (which sdr2.5 is one of).
one of these cds contains audio drama! two of these star koichi kizakura recruiting various hope’s peak academy students, and the other two star, respectively, celestia ludenberg and kazuichi souda. i’m not sure if these have ever been translated, but i’ll look for them nonetheless, and will be including the original audio files in the archive.
the other two bonus discs contain the soundtrack to danganronpa 3. now i officially own the soundtracks of all main-series danganronpa content that they’ve released!!
i hope the long-ass post makes up for the inactivity over the past week or two.
farewell, despair archivists…

2/5/24 "Perfect Blue" JPT3702
Tumblr media
My initial expectation of this movie was an introspection into idol culture. I mean yes, it did have that. Mental illness in Japan, parasocial relationships, idol culture, and women being seen as commodities in the entertainment industry were all heavily interconnected themes. The movie did an in depth dive, with multiple scenes, symbolism, and even uncanny disturbing shots meant to exploit the main character, showing how she falls farther into depravity as the people around her make her do worse and worse things. However, the most interesting part of this movie to me were two things:
1) Who I thought the actual antagonist was, and
2) The unnecessary sexualization of the main character, even in scenes where sexuality didn't add to the plot or themes in any way.
Lots of online analyses claim that it was Mima and her disassociative identity disorder that was brought on by the trauma from her REAL rape, in which she believed that she was a movie character who had only experienced it by proxy via a scene, thereby removing her trauma. However, if that was the case, the murder of two of her associates would be called into question. That part of the movie did it for me! I believed that that was the case at first, however the torment of her own manager is who I believe the true killer was. The manager killed the men who had "shamed" Mima by putting her in compromising situations via photographs and films, and then acted as if Mima did commit the murder because she treated her own body as Mima's. She killed both men, placed her murder items in Mima's room, and then attacked the girl who 'once played Mima' dressed as Mima herself. Kind of a convoluted plot, right? Well, I bet living in it really messed with Mima's head! Haha.
Anyways, onto the unnecessary sexualization. Yes, in a way, the 'nude' camera scenes were important to show how the old Mima was being erased, and the girl who once played her felt scarred, violated, and uncomfortable by the incident. It was also important that the author called her scene a 'rape' scene because it went as far as showing how sexual assault is a disgusting vile, event, and how it can change and mentally scar somebody. But let me ask, was framing her female body sexually in that scene necessary? It is clear the movie has the artistic abilities to 'uglify' people, as we can see with Mima's manager and stalker.
Tumblr media
Mamoru (Whose name is kind of a portmanteau of 'remember', to protect') Uchida's face is ugly, stretched eyes and mangled teeth, to Rumi's far apart eyes is a way of showing the disturbance of people's minds played out on their face. But why was Mima's body displayed so sexually during her TWO rape scenes? No. It was completely unnecessary to have her draped so 'beautifully' in those compromising positions. (That being said, there should have been a way to show her nude in an "ugly" way, or not even show her naked body at all! It's completely unnecessary! And before somebody criticizes me for saying Mima should be 'ugly', I meant that the display of her naked body should be ugly, and not her herself. If I meant that then yes that would be ugly-phobic in a way I guess?) And in the beginning of the movie, when Mima is laying on her bed tired, we get yet another panty shot. This just goes to show that unnecessary sexualization of women happens CONSTANTLY in Japanese media, going as far as to DO IT EVEN WHEN the movie is also criticizing that very idea. It kind of imposes on itself!
Tumblr media
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0pnwE_Oy5WI So now, i'll say it:
"I did not care for Perfect Blue."
"What?!"
"Did not care for Perfect Blue."
"Ug- How can you even say that?"
"Didn't like it."
"Tori- It's so good it's like the perfect movie!"
"This is what everyone always says-"
"Satoshi Kon, Sadayuki Murai-"
"Listen l-"
"JUNKO IWAO?!"
"I know I- Fine- fine voice actress! Didn't like the movie."
"Why not"
"Did not- couldn't get into it"
"Explain yourself, what didn't you like."
"It insists upon itself, classmate"
"What?"
"It insists upon itself-"
"What does that even mean?"
"I-"
"CAUSE IT HAS A VALID POINT TO MAKE ITS INSISTING"
"It takes forever getting in- and then you see 6 and a half panty shots- and you know I can't even get through, I can't even finish the movie, I've never even seen the ending."
"YOUVE NEVER SEEN THE ENDING?!"
"How can you say you don't like it if you've never even given it a chance?"
"I agree with Classmate2 it's not really fair"
"I have tried on 3 separate occasions to get through it and I, I get to the scene where- where she gets raped for the SECOND TIME"
"yeah that was a great scene I loved that scene"

EAH VA/Seiyuus
You know where this is going. For @sayuricorner's TW x EAH AU.
So, this was inspired by these two videos:
Can Twisted Wonderland Character VAs Sing? Part 1
Can Twisted Wonderland Character VAs Sing? Part 2
And that got the gears in my head turning and I just went with it, so here it is!
A few key things:
There are three VA/Seiyuus per character because I didn't want to overwhelm myself.
Some of the characters will have the same VAs because I thought the voice suited more than one character as well as to get a feel for their characters and because I was lazy about looking at every single VAs filmography.
I also included some of the roles those actors played so that there's some sort of building block for them.
I won't be including their English or Latin America VAs because you can find those on the EAH wikia, but I'll include a link.
(It's looooong so it's under the cut.)
Enjoy my usual insanity.

THE MOST HERETICAL LAST BOSS QUEEN: FROM VILLAINESS TO SAVIOR, anime in cantiere per la fantasy romance novel di Tenichi
Alla mischia, oggi si aggiunge “THE MOST HERETICAL LAST BOSS QUEEN: FROM VILLAINESS TO SAVIOR” (Higeki no Genkyo to naru Saikyo Gedo Last Boss Joo wa Min no tame ni Tsukushimasu), la cui serie animata, in produzione presso OLM TEAM YOSHIOKA (Life with an Ordinary Guy who Reincarnated into a Total Fantasy Knockout), è appena stata annunciata per luglio 2023.
youtube
L’adattamento della fantasy romance novel di Tenichi è diretto da Norio Nitta (Kirakira Happy Hirake! Cocotama) e sceneggiato da Deko Akao (The Genius Prince's Guide to Raising a Nation Out of Debt, The Case Study of Vanitas), mente il character design è in mano a Hitomi Kono.
Tumblr media
La colonna sonora, invece, è realizzata da Hanae Nakamura, Tatsuhiko Saiki, Kanade Sakuma e Junko Nakajima, che non a caso hanno tutti lavorato alle musiche di serie come “My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!”, “I'm the Villainess, So I'm Taming the Final Boss” e “Endo and Kobayashi Live! The Latest on Tsundere Villainess Lieselotte”.
Pride: Ai Fairouz (Power in Chainsaw Man)
Tumblr media
Steyr: Maaya Uchida (Catarina Claes in My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!)
Tumblr media
Tiara: Haruka Tomatsu (Asuna Yuki in Sword Art Online: Progressive)
Tumblr media
La light novel è stata lanciata online nell’aprile 2018 e da giugno 2019 è edita da Ichijinsha, sotto l’etichetta Iris Neo, che la pubblica corredata delle illustrazioni ad opera di Suzunosuke (Last Boss Majo wa Katabutsu Jusha to Tawamureru).
La serie di romanzi conta attualmente 5 volumi, mentre la versione manga, disegnata da Bunko Matsura, è giunta al terzo volumetto, per ora.

Top 10 Manga Picks: the Origins of Manga-Loving Yumi Tamura!
Loosely translated from the Da Vinci Magazine August 2020 issue.
"Tamura has been creating works that span mystery, horror, fictional warfare, action, and fantasy genres. What kind of manga has she been reading up to now? We asked her to introduce the 10 works that inspired her to start drawing manga, as well as what she considers her heart's bible. Includes comments from Tamura herself!"
Tumblr media
Yumi Tamura's Comments:
1. Cyborg 009 by Shotaro Ishinomori
"When I was little, I watched the anime first and loved it, and then I read the manga around the time I was entering junior high school. I wanted to be 003 and go into battle with friends in the same way. I feel like it was my emotional support during the period of my 2nd year in junior high when I was having a hard time and ran away from it all."
2. Lolly no Seishun by Kimiko Uehara
"When I was in the 3rd or 4th grade of elementary school, Uehara drew a lot of one-shots in Betsucomi ('Lolly' was a weekly comic), and they were so interesting and moving every time that I was constantly in a state of emotion. I think because of that, I began drawing manga in my notebook, splitting up the pages into panels. Dramatic & rich with emotion, the depicted characters by Uehara, whether men or women, are full of charm & utterly brilliant. The energy and willpower of the female characters is really wonderful."
3. Thomas no Shinzou by Moto Hagio
"Of course I love 'Poe no Ichizoku' & '11-nin Iru!' too. Needless to say, Hagio is the greatest treasure. When I was in the 1st year of junior high, my friend & I were crazy about 'Thomas'. I liked Juri and my friend liked Oskar... we talked about going to Germany someday. It links together my own happy memories. I'm sure I didn't understand everything Hagio was trying to draw, but in the end, even now I cry at the image of Juri smiling faintly in a small panel."
4. Hamidashikko by Jun Mihara
"To me, this work is like the bible. It relentlessly strikes the deepest part of the heart and brings forth a flood of pain and tears. It wraps you up in a warmth that's helplessly miserable, sorrowful. Sincere gazes and intense dialogues. The power of the dialogues is truly unbelievable. The way the dialogues are presented along with the drawings make the best use of that power. Mihara's careful thoughts are at the root of all this. Even though I'm already this grateful, I will never get used to it. It's just amazing."
5. Kyoufu Shinbun by Jirou Tsunoda
"This is the most terrifying manga I've ever read. It's so captivating, & even decades later, it's still ingrained in me. There are various scenes that I'll recall whenever something happens. My younger sister & I would look at each other & go like ‘it's that’ or ‘that one scene, right?!’ & it would send shivers down our spines. We're already at a level of trauma. It's uncommon for a main story line to be most interesting while introducing all sorts of horrors."
6. Hyouryuu Kyoushitsu by Kazuo Umezu
"If I was told to read a manga now that would make me cry right away, then I would choose this one. Particularly the last scene of the mother crying. This work is unbelievably fierce, grand, rich in ideas, & just too fascinating. And the themes are so broad & deep that it makes you think about many things. It's a rare transcendental masterpiece that will, in the end, leave you feeling comforted & positive, thinking ‘it was a good ending,’ even though the journey is extremely scary & painful. Also, my contempt for Sekiya is strong.”
7. Macaroni Hourensou by Tsubame Kamogawa
"This is explosively entertaining. Fun. Cute. Cool. I love it! 25-year old Toshi-chan is the best! He's so cool. I don't know how many times I've read this. I still say the lines out loud even now. This is a very popular work that I can only describe as fun. There are not many other gag manga that make me burst out laughing quite like this one. I love it!”
8. Akaaka Maru by Minako Uchida
"I just can't stop admiring this work in general. The drawings, the rhythm, the stunning midpoint [?], the ability to think in a scientific way. And the proficiency of observing people. I admired it so much that I tried drawing contours of people & handwriting with permanent markers & brushes, but my drawing skills were so different that I ended up with nothing but doodles. ‘BOOMTOWN’ & the short stories are also very interesting & fun!”
9. Genji by Yun Kouga
"Innovative, I thought. I could clearly understand it. Kouga seems to be the kind of person who has a lot of sense. I've always thought it was amazing how her work & she herself had leadership qualities of the time to pull others along. I would very much love to know what kind of ideas Kouga has in mind for the rest of this work, since it hasn't been completed yet.”
10. Nodame Cantabile by Tomoko Ninomiya
"There was a period when I was having a very tough time, & it got to the point where I was having unhealthy thoughts like, ‘Is manga even enjoyable?’ But then this work came along & I was like ‘Aah, manga is fun after all! Thank goodness, I'm okay!’ So, this is a super popular & famous work to which I owe a debt of gratitude for making me realize & genuinely feel this way. I think it would be the greatest if I could portray the world in a similar way with such thoroughness. I envy that power of Ninomiya's! It's magnificent!”
Additional side comment from Tamura (in the speech bubble):
“I wanted to include the Bijohime series (Hana no Bijohime) & PARTNER by Tomoko Naka too! (I think it's obvious that these have an influence on my characters.) Other works that also left a strong impact on me are Ryouko Yamagishi's Arabesque; Yuko Kishi's Tamasaburou series and short stories; Rising! (Saeko Himuro/Author, Kazuko Fujita/Artist); the Palm series (Yasei Kemonogi); Astro Kyuudan (Shirou Toozaki/Author, Norihiro Nakajima/Artist); & Dark Green by Junko Sasaki. Makoto Kobayashi's Judo-bu Monogatari & Nanae Haruno's PaPa told me are also excellent! There’re also many other works that I'll never forget, such as those by Shinji Wada & Udou Shinohara, which have all influenced me in some way. I've always loved TONO's Karubania Monogatari too.”

Warning: Characters involved are my OCs from Demon Slayer universe. If I am able to upload their... biography or something, this word should be in a hyperlink. Japanese words that are in red are defined at the end of the fic.
Timeline: after Muzan's defeat and the dissolving of the Demon Slayer Corps.
Characters: Arai Junko, Fujiwara Maria, Nakajima Fujita, Uchida Amida
Also tagging @animatedarchives @ineedselfcontrol-helpme @applepienation because I remember that they were the ones who were interested with my OCs 🥺 (HELLO, GUYS, ILY SO MUCH-)
DESPITE the scorching heat, Maria went forth with her walk. Beads of sweat trickled at the side of her face, the *wagasa resting on her shoulder not being able to protect her from the blazing sun.
But all the discomfort from the immense heat was worth it when she hears a loud shrill a couple steps away from her. Lifting her eyes, she sees a little child, running towards her direction despite of struggling with her faded red yukata.
"Amria!" The child squealed as its tiny arms wrapped around Maria's legs. Maria giggled as she slowly crouched on the ground, letting her wagasa litter on the soil as she hugged the little child.
"Chiyo, you shouldn't be walking on the streets by yourself," Maria said in a motherly-like tone, ignoring the fact that Chiyo had just mispronounced her name.
"Where is your aunt? It's weird that I don't see her beside you, she's literally glued to-"
"Chiyo!" A familiar scream was heard from afar, making Maria drift her sight from the child to the women in front of her.
Speaking of the devil.
Maria chuckled. It's been a month since she last visited but Junko had little to no changes. Her hair is still tied in a messy way (which irks Maria but it isn't her hair so she can't really have it on her way) and Junko still had her weird taste of yukata designs that according to her "drives the men away".
Maria picked her wagasa, her free hand reaching for Chiyo's as she started to walk towards Junko's direction.
"Junko-chan!"
The voice made Junko look towards her left, a sense of relief washing her worries as she sees Chiyo, her niece, with Maria, a trusted friend.
She composes herself as she meets them, "Maria-san," Junko greeted her former comrade as she crouched to pick Chiyo up, the weight of the child not bothering her given her former occupation.
"Good thing I saw Chiyo before anyone else did," Maria said, now lifting her right hand that has been carrying a red cloth shifted into a bag all along, "I brought a watermelon?"
"THANK you so much, Arai-san," Maria thanked Junko's elder sister who only gave a smile in return before picking Chiyo up, informing her sister and visitor that they're heading to the market, leaving Junko and Maria alone.
"So," Maria placed her slice of watermelon down, "How are things here?"
Junko leaned lightly on the *shoji screen, her feet hanging at the edge of the *tatami floor as she indulged herself with Maria's present, "I've been healing well from...you know," Junko eyed Maria meaningfully, "I've been spending all of my money at my niece and the expenses at this house."
Junko made it sound as if it was a burden but Maria could see through her eyes: she was happy and contented. Far from the look on her face whenever she had to discuss her past with her father. Maria couldn't help but smile, seeing that her friend is finally at peace.
"Spend it well, then," Maria chuckled as she took a bite from her slice once again.
"Which reminds me..." Junko muttered as she now stare at the *shishi odoshi playfully rocking back and forth at her backyard, "What happened to the two?"
Maria chuckled, fixing her glasses, "On their own as well, I guess," she shrugged, "Fujita did say she's going home."
"Amida, though..." Junko interrupted.
Maria heaved a sigh, one that sounded as if she were in distress, "I don't know about him."
Junko shrugged, "I just hope he's doing well...". She said with utmost sincerity, "Plus, he's old enough to take care of himself."
Maria couldn't agree more.
Silence then consumed the two as they went on feasting from the watermelon Maria brought. However, an odd shrill interrupted their peace.
"Kaw! Kaw!" A crow landed in between Maria and Junko, startling the two as they scoot away from the uninvited crow.
"Kaw! Kaw! Attention! Attention!" It cawed as it flapped its wings.
"Wait-" Maria scooted towards the crow this time, no longer afraid, "A kasugai crow?" She thought out loud as she offered her wrist. The trained crow flew towards her, landing on her offered hand.
"It is a kasugai crow!" Maria gleefully cheered as her other hand inspected its wings, trying to determine how long was it travelling.
"You still have your crow?" Junko asked, amused.
"I do! Though I don't let it fly that much-" Maria paused, "Wait, where's your crow?"
"I had to set it free. Chiyo kept on playing with the crow," Junko explained as she remembered how her adorable niece tried to drown the poor crow once, "Whose crow is this?"
As if the crow understood Junko's question, it cawed once again, "Nakajima! Nakajima Fujita! Nakajima Fujita!"
"Fujita!" Maria exclaimed as her shoulders popped in surprise, she glances at Junko who remained unfazed exterior-wise.
"Message!" The crow flew from Maria's hand, hovering above the two, "Message from Nakajima! Nakajima Fujita! Message from Nakajima Fujita!"
"Finally!" Maria clapped as she sat properly once again. Junko stood from sitting, getting impatient with the crow.
"What is it?" Junko asked.
"Invitation! Invitation! Fujiwara Maria invitation! Arai Junko invitation!"
"Invitation?" Maria and Junko muttered in unison.
"Invitation to what?" Maria asked, standing alongside Junko as well.
"Wedding! Invitation wedding!"
"A wedding?" Junko wobbled her head.
"Arai Junko! Fujiwara Maria! Invited! Invited! Nakajima Fujita wedding!"
Maria was able to connect the broken words the crow was saying. She cupper her lips with her hand, "Fujita's wedding?!" She speculated.
Junko's brows furrowed, getting more and more confused. She wants answers and she's getting it. She looked at the crow, casting it a glare in which the crow immediately understood, given how it's now frantically flapping its wings for its own life.
"I don't understand," Junko blurted out as she inhaled sharply, "I remember her saying she'd rather die alone unless if she's marrying someone rich. Which household is it?" Junko asked herself as she recounted some of the well-known households she knew.
"I'm going to die alone. I don't care if no one's going to take care of me, I have my wealth? I am only marrying someone if they're rich and they can make me richer. I deserve this given that I slay pathetic creatures for a living!" Maria couldn't help but remember what Fujita once cried.
"Who could it be-"
"Invited to wedding! Nakajima Fujita and Uchida Amida wedding!"
The ladies both fell silent, Maria's watermelon creating a thud now that she dropped it in surprise.
"Their what?!" Maria shrieked in surprise.
"Those bitches are getting married?!" Junko couldn't help but to curse and to blurt out her surprise as well.
"Kaw! Kaw!" The crow flapped it's way towards-
"Hold on a second!"
"Junko-chan, the crow!" Maria said as she went near Junko.
But Junko was not listening both to Maria's plea and the crow's distressed cry. She remained her grip on the little crow's tail despite of its flapping.
"How are they getting married?" Junko asked in confusion, "I mean, the four of us separated. How? Were they seeing each other? What?"
"I don't know as well!" Maria exclaimed as she cupped her hands, slightly hopping from her place, "They're actually getting married, what the hell?!"
"I am confused," Junko said out loud, "I need answers."
"Let's let the crow give Fujita our message then," Maria suggested as she eyed the poor crow again.
Junko nodded, letting go of the crow who immediately fell on the floor, its chest puffing in exhaustion from trying to escape from Junko's grip.
"Uh... what do we tell them?" Maria said as she knelt, cupping her chin, "Uh...Fujita, hello? Congratulations with your wedding and we're definitely coming-"
"Tell her that what the fuck are they thinking and why on earth are they getting married-"
"Junko!" Maria reprimanded but Junko went on with her message for Fujita and Amida. Well...mostly curses.
END.
Definition
Wagasa are Japanese traditional oil-paper umbrellas.
Shoji is a Japanese traditional wooden sliding doors with translucent paper/screen on.
Tatami is a Japanese traditional mat used as flooring in traditional Japanese-style rooms.
Shishi Odoshi also known as 'sharedeer' or 'scareboar' are Japanese devices used to frighten away animals. Similar to a scarecrow. Mostly seen at backyards though (that cute little fountain with bamboos bumping with one another due to water).

HELLO, SOPH, DILAG, AND PILAR! ( @animatedarchives , @applepienation , @ineedselfcontrol-helpme ) On today’s episode of Leia being a dork!
Full name
Uchida Amida (Breath of Galaxy)
Preferred name/nickname
Amida
Generally referred to as
The man who can’t be moved BHDHSB
Appearance
Sex: Male
Height: 5'5"/5′6″
Weight: Somewhere around 50-70 kilos hehe
Build: He’s not muscular but he’s not skinny either.
Hair: Slightly curly and disheveled. (Fujita hates his hair because it’s too frizzy and dry. you can’t run your fingers through it.)
Skin: Surprisingly has a light complexion for someone who is living in the streets his entire life. Though light, his skin does feel rough according to frens.
Eyes: His eyes can sometimes be mistaken as pink but it’s actually purple in color.
Mouth: Plump (Fujita is lowkey jealous)
Hands: Long and boney.
Feet: Average
Scars: Acne scars.
Other features: Has a lot of acne scars.
Noteable features: He looks young (I checked him on the comics and damn he looks really young).
Voice
Accent: Has a hard time pronouncing some words.
Verbal Ticks: None
Language: Let’s assume they speak Nihonggo.
Articulation: He uses words and phrases commoners usually use and that confuses Junko and Fujita.
Laughter: Shrill laugh. Now, Imagine his high pitch laugh and Fujita’s snort in the same room :]]]]
Grump: He clears his throat most of the time.
Breathing: When he’s in awe, he makes this “Owwwww” sound.
Mannerism
Face: He likes to scratch his nose and to caress his cheeks (it’s where Senpai touched him for the last time).
Hands: Knuckle cracks.
Legs/Feet: None.
Habits: None aside from knuckle cracks and nose scratching.
Posture: Straight. He uses this to emphasize his height difference with Fujita and Junko (they hate it. Maria is cool with it).
Walking posture: Surprisingly manly.
Sitting posture: Normal.
Personal space: He’s kind of wary with other people but he wouldn’t mind cuddling with his wife (which only happens once in a blue moon)
Spacial awareness: He’s been living at the streets all his life. He’s very wary of his surrounding, especially that he was taught to be wary of bystanders/thieves whatever
Personal
Introvert/Extrovert: Was an introvert but became an extrovert. Mainly due to Fujita's influence.
Optimist/Pessimist: Pessimist. He just thinks things won’t go according to his way (especially with what happened to his senpai)
Gender: Male
Sexuality: He thought he is gay as he knew he has feelings for his senpai. But he thinks he is bisexual as he has unexplainable feelings for someone.
Romantic: He loves his senpai. And his wife.
Memory: Sharp! Living at the streets has sharpened his memory along with his spacial awareness.
Planning: He never plans. He’s a go with the flow kind of guy which is weird cause he is a pessimist.
Pensive: The only regret he has is when he left Senpai alone that night when they were running away from demons...okay, slightly grateful because he found his amazing friends and his wife :))))
Intuition: He couldn’t even tell if what he’s doing is right or wrong. He usually asks for Fujita’s opinion which is useless as she’s very spontaneous.
Goals: To find his senpai again. And to please his wife.
Insecurities: None.
Achievements: He successfully escaped after being attacked by a demon.
Anxiety: When the group separated ways (separation anxiety).
Overwhelmed: When he had to leave his senpai behind.
Self-help: He’s bad at handling internal conflicts. He usually goes to Fujita or Maria (the best). She (Fuji) doesn’t really give good advice but it calms him down.
Comforts: His friends, Fujita, and the thought of Senpai.
Philosophy: None.
Triggers: Demons. And blood.
The Past
Parents/Guardians: He grew in the streets. His memory is hazy but he remembers a woman leaving him behind at a temple. He lived at the streets for days, dehydrated and starving. He's lowkey just waiting to die at this point.
Then his senpai (He never asked for his name. He always used the honorific), who happens to be also homeless, lend him his hand and before Amida knew it, he lived with his senpai. Surviving by scavenging and stealing.
School: The streets became his teacher.
Adolescence: He grew taller, I guess. But still baby face.
Leaving home: Leaving senpai, the one who considers home, made his life feel like death. Though he is accompanied with his friends, he admits that he still lingers to the thought of his senpai.
Further education:
Life events: Amida and his senpai were attacked by a demon. In the hopes of protecting Amida, Senpai let himself be wounded. A huge tear was on his back as he and Amida ran away from the demon’s sight.
Hiding in the woods, senpai covered Amida with mud in the hopes that it would cover Amida’s scent. He then told Amida to run on his own and to leave him behind as the demon would be able to trace him no matter what. Amida was able to hug his senpai for the last time before fleeing the forest. A tearful goodbye :’[[[
Worst day of their life: When he followed senpai. He shouldn’t have left him.
Lessons: There’s no such thing as ‘dull moment’ with his senpai. Even when he left, it was still brimming with life.
The Relationships
At this time, Fujita just ran away from hers as well. Amida, on the other hand, was decaying himself. People avoided him thinking he was crazy but he couldn’t care less. He felt like it was useless anyway.
Family: Senpai is the only one closest to family. Not until he met his friends and now, he might just have his own.
Pre-events:
After leaving senpai behind, he was alone at he street for days. Not until he met someone: Fujita.
Not until Fujita lend him her hand. She offered him food and clothing as she said he was an ‘eyesore’ when in reality, he reminded her of her brother (she thinks maybe this was her brother’s state before he died).
Friendships: Fujita, Maria, and Junko.
I can’t really describe their relationship but Fujita is very much important for Amida and vice versa.
Future events:
Maria, Junko, and Fujita separated ways with different goals. Amida's goal this time is to find Senpai, to find solace, alone. But he had separation withdrawals and so, in between his trsvels, he'd visit Fujita from time to time, bringing along different items with him from places he went to as a gift for her. It's just... Fujita's the second important person for Amida. She calms her down and Amida would realize soon she is as important as senpai and he wouldn't forgive himself if he loses someone special the second time around. He asked for her hand in marriage.
Friends in need: He loves to help with the chores (cleaning, cooking, etc.) along with Maria and Junko (lmao Fujita would never).
Annoyance: When in an argument, he’s mostly silent. When you scream at him, he wouldn’t scream back. He wouldn’t speak his mind and he would just let his mind absorb the hate which is toxic of course.
I haven’t really described his relationship with Fujita but I think Amida has feelings for Fujita as her kindness (when she found him) reminded him so badly of Senpai. Though they argue and bicker all the time, he knows deep inside he would never hurt her and he’d be willing to risk his life for her.
Romance: s e n p a i. And his wife :)))
Pre-events:
Marital problems: None. They're still in the honeymoon stage of their marriage :)))
You can consider it love but I don’t think it shouldn’t be when he only likes her as she reminds him of the person he really loves.
In the long run, he finally realizes that Fujita is someone as special as senpai and the longer he knows her, the more he realizes he cares and sees her differently from senpai.
Adversaries: -
Enemies: Demons.
Strangers: He’s very confident when talking to strangers now that he met his friends. He unconsciously wants to protecc them ✨
Fun stuff: He loves it when he and the gang do nothing and they just do silly things.
Best friend: Fujita, Junko, and Maria.
Dating:
Pre event: did thought of going to places with Fujita though.
Future events: LMAO HE'S MARRIED.
Love: His senpai. And his wife :))))
Interactions
Respect: Fujita. He respects her for not hesitating to help him when she found him.
Junko. Because she was that strong to be able to accept him despite being hateful towards men.
Maria. For being patient and wise despite all the shit she's been through.
Mingling: He’s very approachable and is friends with the pillars and other slayers.
Comfort levels: Comfortable to talk to anyone.
Physical: The little physical touches Fujita give: ruffling his hair, pinching him, slapping him (during banters), pushing him, etc. HE CRAVES FOR IT P L E A S E
Group: He’s fine talking to other people outside his social group.
Jealous: Jealous of no one. He's a contented man.
Temper: Surprisingly short? He easily gets irritated with Fujita’s remarks. Or like when people hurt his friends.
Empathy: He feels for Maria, Junko, and Fujita as they all had a rough past as well.
Affectionate: Lowkey. He’d express it through harsh words and scoldings.
Distaste: When he hates someone, he tends to become very sarcastic to the point that the others would tell he’s faking it.
Responsibility: He feels like senpai’s death is his responsibility. He blames himself to this day.
Self-esteem: Sometimes, he feels like his combat skills is not enough. Because if he is really good like the others say, how come he wasn’t able to save his senpai that night?
Honesty: Not very honest. He hates deep talks.
Leader or follower: A leader alongside with Maria.
Praise: He loves his senpai’s praises. He hates Fujita’s praises because he feels like she’s just being sarcastic.
Criticism: He accepts them well.
Insults: He’s fine with other people insulting him but it’s a different scenario if it was Fujita, senpai, or his friends that you are insulting.
Embarrassment: He’s embarrassed when Fujita says something so sincere. JDBSBDHSB or when he receives compliments from Maria AND COMPLIMENTS SPECIFICALLY FROM JUNKO THO BECAUSE SHE IS A WOMAN OF FEW WORDS
Flirting: He can’t. Senpai’s face would flash on his mind. BUT SIKEEEEE he worked his way on Fujita without him knowing
Attention span: Very attentive!
---
I know no one asked but I have 4 OCs from Demon Slayer universe and I'd love to create this with them but I'm confused on which OC do I make one first.
So pick a number between 1 and 4 :) (3, 2 and 4 are out-)
