Squid game tickle headcannons from yours turly!:

-When Jung-Bae really pisses him off Gin-Hun will never hesitate to tickle him, before the games, during the games, and even after in the au where everyone is okay. He's insanely ticklish. His sides and neck are his worst spots. I'm thinking mainly his neck.

-Dae-ho tickled Jung-Bae once and only once. Ever since Jung-Baes' revenge tickles, Dae-ho has never dared to tread that territory again. He learned that day just how much of a tickle monster his found family dad can be.

-Hyun-Ju has a secret tickle spot behind her ears that Gyeong-seok accidentally found when gently moving her hair behind her ears.

-In-ho forgot that lee moods exist and that he gets them frequently, until he met Gin-Hun. After that, especially after joining the games himself, it all came flooding back to him. For better or for worse.

-If you squeeze Dae-hos hips, he'll actually jump. Straight up in the air like a cat. (Can you tell who's my favorite 🥰🫶)

-Lee Myung-gi (player 333) would be the main target of all of Jun-hee's (player 222) tickle attacks when they were dating. It was their favorite way to bond and Jun-Hee always joked about how he's a Lee and his name is Lee. Which he forever denies because well...its him.

-Young-sik looks ridiculous ticklish but really isn't. This shocked his mother, but there's still a few spots that get him. They're just not "go to" spots. For example, he's got a really ticklish back/spine, and the tops of his knees are bad too.

-Thanos isn't ticklish at all, although everyone wants him to be. There might be one spot, but it's never been discovered. At least not yet. This does make him a pretty merciless ler, though he's a bit more gentle with the ladies, however, and min-su. Nam-gyu and the others get no such special treatment.

-Ali, in season one, of course, is a 50/50 switch. He's ticklish and doesn't mind being on the receiving end, but he makes one hell of a ler too! Especially with his teasing! (In my head, he is thriving and got mad revenge on Sang-Woo)

-On the season one grind, Sae-byeok has only let one person ever tickle her, and it was Gin-Hun. She didn't even know she was ticklish until Gin-Hun arrived. She's only ever dished it out to her little brother to cheer him up. Gin-Hun took it easy with her because he's the best

-(a little sad) but Jun-ho once used to enjoy it with In-ho but after everything, and the trauma he's faced, he is more touch adverse then he used to be. The only one that helped slowly get him out of his funk was Choi Woo-seok. They became closer after agreeing to help Gin-Hun and it was the first time he laughed in a while, as well as trusted someone, so he's slowly enjoying tickles again but likes to be more on the giving end nowadays.

-Gyeong-seok forgot how ticklish he was too until he met Hyun-Ju. His laughs are so loud and high pitched, it's Hyun-Ju's favorite sound now, once she found it out she didn't want to stop but the poor man had to breath! It was adorable. Their tickle fights are more often occurring now.

-In the au that everyone's okay and they're all at home: when Dae-Ho has a nightmare he'll just find Jung-Bae and it always ends in cheer up tickles.

-In the same au ^^ there was one day that Jung-Bae wasn't around, so when he was sad Gin-Hun took over tickled him. They got closer after that, and Dae-Ho was over the moon about it. Like he said: He had always been a Gin-Hun fan after the first game.

-Jung-Bae tickled Gin-Hun during the night they stayed up talking and told him teasingly to "quiet down" because people were sleeping while scribbling all over his tickle spots.

-Hyun-Ju, before the 3rd game, tickled Young-mi to help make her feel less scared, and as an apology to try and make up for pressing O. Young-mi was never mad at her, but the cheer up tickles definitely helped.

he would definitely order something bitter and strong, like a simple black coffee. on hotter days, he’d switch to a cold brew—efficient and straightforward, just like him. in the spring, he might occasionally go for a green tea with an almond biscuit, something light but still refined.

cho sangwoo:

on a rough day, he’d go for a classic espresso—quick, strong, and to the point. however, on a normal day, he usually orders a strong cappuccino, enjoying the balance of bitterness and creaminess. he doesn’t often get pastries, but if he does, he’d go for a chestnut madeleine—subtle yet rich. in the summer, he sticks to an iced long black coffee, keeping things simple and strong.

seong gihun:

season 1: he would definitely order something sweet! while he enjoys the occasional bitterness of a black coffee, he mostly goes for a vanilla or caramel macchiato, something comforting and familiar. for a pastry, he’d choose a simple strawberry shortcake. in autumn, he’s definitely tried a cinnamon latte.

You groaned, rubbing your bump as you walked into the next game; It’d be a mix of mini games, you had selected the games one night while in-ho had been off taunting gi-hun with his presence.

“Please group up into teams of five!” The announcement rang out through the room. Players look around at each other before doing so.

In-ho walked over to you and grabbed your hand. You grumbled as you both approached his group. “She can be our fifth, this is my wife!” He smiled, his hand going to swell of your stomach. “Wife?” Player 390, jung-bae said in shock.

“And she’s expecting?!” A younger man, 388 whispered out, lightly hitting jung-bae’s arm. You chuckled and nodded at them before smiling at gi-hun. “Nice to meet you all, i’ve heard you’ve played these games before?” You questioned, gi-hun nodded in response before looking around the room. “I have, the owner must’ve changed the games…” He nervously looked around to the soldiers. 

“Excuse me, may I join you all?” A softer voice spoke up, making you all turn to see player 222.

“Sorry, we already have five!” Dae-ho declined politely. The young girl sighed before cupping her belly through her jacket. Once the games were announced you all assigned games, you had gotten gong-gi; you were lucky to have played with on bedrest a few months back.

You watched as other teams go up, some failed some had passed. You watched boredly from the floor, you glanced over and noticed in-ho whispering something to jung-bae. You kept quiet and waited for it to be your own turn.

You waited as the worker locked your ankles together. 

“Let’s get it!” Thanos hyped himself up as you all stood at the beginning of the track. A weird flutter sensation moved across your stomach as you waited for a signal to go, you chuckled and rubbed where your baby had kicked. In-ho watched your group with a smile at the moment between you and your unborn child.

Your team had surprisingly past the games with ease. You had watched the guards as they unchained you all and led you to the dorms, you had quickly turned and blew a kiss to in-ho before following the soldier.

As you entered the dorm, geum-ja waved as you walked back to your bunk, you smiled and waved back; she didn’t deserve to be in the games, you had hoped to be a kind mother like her, sticking up for her son, doing anything to help her child. “Just rest up for now, if you need anything i’ll send inho-!” You stuttered at your slip up, “I mean young-il…” You chuckled, avoiding gi-hun’s confused look. “That’s the we had picked out for our son, we’re still figuring out a girls name in case.” In-ho covered up, smiling at the others who smiled and nodded.

You gave in-ho a thankful smile, he nodded and rubbed your lower back in reassurance.

Both you and in-ho had sat down and joked around with the others, they began to give their names out to each other, you smiled and gave them your name, in-ho giving them a fake name. 

“Jun-hee, when we get out of here you should visit your doctor, stress isn’t good for you and your baby!” You gently lectured, she smiled and shyly nodded at you. “You should visit too!” She pointed out, making you grin before rubbing your bump.

“When we get out of here, we should plan a playdate for the two!” You joked, making everyone laugh. The metal doors began to open, you internally groaned, the voting was about to begin.

You had watch as the board went up, you were all outvoted to leave. Deep down you had wished everyone had voted to leave, wanting to save the older woman, the soon to be mom, gi-hun from your husband’s plan, dae-ho from an early death, jung-bae from jealously that your husband radiated. 

Gi-hun sighed as you all stood by your bunks. Jung-bae had avoided you all, sitting by his bunk alone. As you listened to everyone discuss the next plan for the next game, a fast cramp struck you down your back, making you gasp in pain. In-ho quickly held onto you as you gritted your teeth at the pain. 

“What is it? The baby?!” In-ho questioned. You shook your head as the pain soon released. “Braxton hick.” You sighed, taking deep breaths. “Here sit down, you too jun-hee!” Dae-ho and gi-hun both jumped up and had you both sit on gi-hun’s bed.

“I’m not looking forward to that…” Jun-hee confessed, making you laugh a bit at her expression of shock. The others began to pick up a conversation for a bit. 

You turned and watched as the workers began to set up their tables to hand out dinner for the night. “Dinner time.” You announced to the others. They all nodded, helping both you and jun-hee up.

As you all stood in line, you sighed, stretching your back the best you could as a cramp went down your lower back. “Are you alright?” Dae-ho asked, looking around for in-ho. You chuckled and nodded. “Just a fake out.” You reassured the young man who stared at you for a moment before nodding.

Once you had gotten your food you walked back to the group. With a quick glance, you paused as you spotted jung-bae a few feet away, sitting on his bunk, his back facing you all. “Someone go get him, it’s a bit sad seeing him eat alone..” You pointed out, dae-ho sighed, placing down his food and milk.

You smirked as dae-ho got up and dragged jung-bae over to you all. “If you wanted to be alone, you should’ve gone farther..” Dae-ho scolded.

“I’m sorry everyone..” Jung-bae apologized, looking down at his shoes, ashamed. He began to explain his situation as to why he had to vote to keep playing.

“Jung-bae, you of all people shouldn’t have done it. It’s not twice as righteous,” Your husband sighed. “But seeing the outcome, we would’ve been outvote..” You nodded in agreement with in-ho.

“To be honest, i understand why you did it..I thought about playing one more game..” Dae-ho placed his hand on jung-bae’s should in comfort. Jung-bae turned and went to hug dae-ho who pushed him away. “You did?!” He asked, happy someone understood his thoughts. “I said i get it!” Dae-ho pushed himself away, you cracked a smile at the pair.

“In the next game..we might have to kill each other.” Gi-hun told you all. In-ho sighed, “gi-hun, that’s a bit much..there’s nothing we can do now anyways, let’s try to stay positive, we have two expecting mothers, we need them stress free.” In-ho nodded towards you and jun-hee.

“Here, jun-hee take my milk.” In-ho handed the young girl his milk carton. She smiled at him, shaking her head. “No, it’s ok. Your wife must need it!” She declined politely. You shook your head and motioned for her to take it. “I’m alright, the guards gave me water!” You smiled at her, she nodded and thanked you both as she took the milk.

It had been later on, gi-hun explained to you all how you needed to create a fort with the bunks since players by the third game had began to kill each other. You and jun-hee were told to get pillows and blankets with the others moved the mats to the floor.

so fluffy hcs:

they all throw a huge party when jiyeong decides to change her last name to seong. gihun sobs the entire time.

every friday night they have movie night and it is sacred, so that means that usually no one goes out with friends or such. they also order takeout and make popcorn and get all snuggly on the couch.

gihun sees the kids off to school every morning. he doesn't drive them there because they insist that they are grown and don't need mommy to drive them there.

inho has an office, which he initially told everyone was private, but once minsu was reading a book and he wandered in to ask inho a question.

they have a basement that is the communal space for the kids, which they call the sun room, because it is painted pale yellow. inho has said that the name is egregious because you can't even see the sun but the kids never changed it.

semi is a true gamer and she has a whole setup in the sunroom that only she can touch. she once found gayeong playing hello kitty island adventure and almost lost it but gayeong was so happy that she allowed it. only they can touch the computer after that.

inho helps the kids with homework because gihun gets so frustrated over not understanding it that he starts crying with the kids as well.

they wear each other's clothes all the time. saebyeok wears gihun's jackets all the time, semi wears daeho's pants bc they are the right ammount of baggy and they have large pockets, junhee and jiyeong swap clothing all the time because they have a smiliar build, thanos once wore inho's leather jacket and vaped all night so it smelled like blue lemon ice the next day, gayeong borrows from junhee, cheol wears the same things as daeho bc he admires his big brother, daeho once tries to wear one of gihun's jeans but they wouldn't go past his thighs, and gihun has accidently worn a top that belongs to semi several times. minsu is so dorky that no one steal clothes from him :(

Noticing things, pondering, and headcanons about Squid Game S2's player 120 Cho HyunJu

When she mentioned everyone in her life isolating her, she didn't mention siblings. I suppose it is not unlikely that she is an only child.

I wonder if she struggled even a little bit with internalised ideas that her leadership qualities came at odds with the validity of her femininity, due to societal narratives and her experiences in the military. She said people didn't make her life too hard even though they looked at her weird even before she came out. Her skills in the battlefield was likely seen as masculine in the eyes of her employers which helped her keep her job until coming out cancelled out her masculine/skilled reputation. I think it's a plausible headcanon that on the flipside, some people might have told her to be less of a leader if she wanted to fit a more feminine perception, after she came out. YoungMi looking up to her as an older woman from the beginning without any conditions would mean a lot to her because of this. I think YoungMi is the first person to call her Unnie and maybe it helped her realise that she can be comfortable leading as an Unnie or a Noona.

During the mingle game after they ditched the shaman lady, they see her again after exiting their room. The shaman stares at them, and seems to particularly focus on YoungMi. The camera doesn't catch it within the shot, but it seems like HyunJu takes YoungMi's hand to guide her and the rest of their group back to the spinning platform.

When player 333 rammed into HyunJu to enter the room, she was sent hurtling towards Daeho who caught her. 333 is lucky he didn't send her flying into our elderly icon GeumJa or his own baby mama JunHee who were both to either side of Daeho.
