Now, I think I get this BL.

The lonely writer Seong Woo Jae (KANG JUN KYU aka JUN.Q) was very much into Ha Yeon Woo (HAN JUNG WAN) in college.

While Ha Yeon Woo only saw him as a friend, a best friend even.

Instead of pining for something that clearly wasn't going to happen Seong Woo Jae left in hopes of alleviating the pain of an unrequited love.

Years later Ha Yeon Woo became a director. With a very successful first effort then dry dock.

With his inspiration gone, he finds a story he wants to make into a movie but first he needs to convince the author. He gets the author's address and phone number. When he arrives he sees his college friend that basically disappeared without a word. But the writer Seong Jae Woo has a chilly reception to his "friend"

Unwilling to give up Ha Yeon Woo camps out in front of Ha Yeon Woo's until he can convince him.

Seong Jae Woo has quite the reaction to his "friend's nakedness.

So. My thoughts on the acting after episode one, since I started off talking about it.

Yeah, Krist as Kawi isn't really working for me, sorry. He's overacting, which is what the part and this kind of story call for, but not something I particularly enjoy. However, he's very different than he was as Arthit (as far as I recall the character at least), so I'll give him that. I'm not saying he couldn't do well give the chance, and perhaps I'd like him better in other works of his that I haven't seen, but so far he's not really succeeding in making Kawi feel either a) real and human, or b) someone I want to watch.

Part of it is that I don't really like his face? Like, there are some actors whose faces I just like (Jun.Q as Wu Jae in Individual Circumstances being the most recent example) and therefore enjoy seeing them on screen no matter what they're doing. And then there is the opposite, which I rarely mention, because it feels kinda mean. It doesn't mean there's anything wrong with their face, and it's not about being good looking or not (Jimmy from Vice Versa is another one who's face arbitrarily bothers me) but seeing them just kinda annoys me. I bring it up here to acknowledge there is some bias in my evaluation of Krist's work.

Gawin though has me impressed. So far his role right now is mostly to dial the charisma up to 11, which is probably harder than it sounds, and he's doing it well. I'm hoping he gets the chance to do more later on, but honestly I'd just enjoy watching him being cocky and charming for 12 episodes. He also feels very different as Pisaeng than he did as Dan.

Sadly not feeling any chemistry yet though.

So while I'm not sure that I like the show so far, I'm curious enough about how they all do to keep watching.
