What does the arcana do when they’re caught making out with you?

Synopsis: This won my most recent poll, so how do the main 6 in the arcana react to someone walking in on them kissing their partner?

Asra Alnazar:

He kisses you more passionately as to prove how much he loves you in front of people. He doesn’t even notice the other person for a solid minute.

If you’re conscious or embarrassed about it, he’ll happily stop. He might stop physically - but while he’s waiting for you guys to find a more private spot, he’s fantasizing about you. 

He’s completely guiltless about it as well. Doesn’t feel a tad of embarrassment or shame. Although he does blush a bit, but that’s because of his attraction to you. Not because of the situation.

The thing he might do however is politely excuse you both from the person who walked in on you. 

“O great magicians, the countess has requested an audience with you!” The chamberlain shouted, from outside your room. Displeased at your lack of response, the chamberlain shouts once more. “O great magicians, COME AT ONCE!” They sighed, shaking their head before shoving the door open. 

“ … Magicians?” 

You’re sat on Asra’s lap, facing him. The two of you are kissing passionately and there are several lipstick stains of your shade of lipstick going down his neck and around his face. He seems to be happy as ever, not even noticing the shouting from the chamberlain. 

“ .. MAGICIANS!” 

Asra rolls his eyes and looks over, breaking away from the kiss. Staring at the chamberlain, he says casually, “ .. oh, it’s you. Hello.” You slowly get off of Asra and wave awkwardly. He smiles, “ tell Nadi we’ll be there in five minutes.” Before the chamberlain can respond, Asra pulls you in again. Not caring at all for the poor chamberlain who’s stood in the doorway stunned and weirded out.

Nadia Satrinava:

Depending on who it is, she’s either only a little embarrassed or super embarrassed. There is no in-between.

If it’s a palace servant, she’ll simply blush a bit but quickly recollect herself and help with whatever task is in need of her attention. 

If it’s a friend or family member, she stutters awkwardly and is more or less unable to reply normally. She just stands there in silence but in her head she’s screaming. 

She’s not ashamed of you at all - she just wants to keep her private time private when it comes to servants, and with her family - she doesn’t tell them much and most likely didn’t tell them about your relationship yet if she wasn’t 100% sure you were the one.

Nasmira is watering the garden, one of her favorite parts of the vesuvian castle. She adores the little grass labyrinth behind the palace, and always tends to it when visiting her dear sister. She snipped off stray branches and leaves, and then crossed the corner to move ahead. 

She paused as she you and Nadia together, kissing. You have your hands running through Nadia’s long hair, and she’s rubbing circles onto your back while you both are immersed in each other. 

“DiDi?” Nasmira says, surprised to see you and Nadia.. Like that.

Nadia turns, and shrieks before covering her mouth. “Oh my! Mira, I– I–..” She immediately lets go off you and steps a foot or so away from you. “Why, I wasn’t expecting your company today..” She says, her face covered in a pinkish blush. 

“ .. Now I know why you talked so fondly of your magician friend.” Nasmira teases, smiling warmly at the both of you.

Julian Devorak:

He blushes slightly, but doesn’t really care. He’s happy when he’s around you, and not much could possibly sour his mood whenever you’re around. 

Is very polite about it. He’ll stop kissing you and focus his energy on the other person, but will still want to be showing you appreciation by having an arm wrapped around your waist, or holding your hand.

He doesn’t feel the need to keep going as soon as the person leaves, but he will if that’s what you want. He’ll do whatever you want <3

Julian peppered your face in kisses, sat in the living room of Mazelinka’s house. He moved over to your lips, kissing you passionately and planting his hands on your torso and waist. He felt as if he were on cloud 9, so infatuated with you and all of your quirks and kinks.

A figure came back through from the kitchen, carrying a large bowl of soup and staring impatiently back at the two of you.

“ oh ho ho, Am I interrupting something?” Mazelinka said with a smirk. Shaking her head at the display of love you two were undergoing in her living room. 

Julian moves his head back, stopping the kiss. His hands still lingered on your body, but he turned over to look at the older woman. “No, not at all. We were..” He cleared his throat. “ .. just being in each others’ presence.” 

“ Oh no, continue. I could use more grandchildren, it’s been a while since I’ve had some children to look after. But just not here – I’m trying to eat.” She sipped at her soup, staring at the two of you and then at the door. “ GO! I’ll only be alive for so many more years, you two could stand to speed up the process a bit..” 

He just laughed and smiled, interlocking his fingers with yours. 

Muriel the outsider:

Is the most embarrassed out of everyone else on the list. He’s blushing furiously and goes extremely quiet and timid.

He’s already nervous in front of people - he definitely doesn’t need this extra attention! Poor guy covers his mouth with his hands, as if to conceal the fact that you’ve just been kissing. 

He lets you smooth it over - he couldn’t handle talking to anyone else but you after that embarrassing incident! He’s completely and utterly horrified to say the least.

Just sort of stares at the person. To any normal person, it’d look like he was glaring to high hell but to him he’s just afraid of having to deal with it.

After a long day, Muriel  couldn’t have thought of anything better than to go home with you and have a ‘loving’ session. You two were on top of the rug in front of the fire at his hut, he was kissing your neck and shoulder. He felt so loved and appreciated.

The keylock jingled, and Asra walked through. 

“Muriellll~!” He said in a sing-song voice. “I can’t find [Name], have you seen the–... oh.”

Muriel stares at him blankly. A mix of shock and shame washing over him at once. You smile, and stand up to go hug and greet Asra. He covers his face with his left hand, his eyes never leave the floor as he can feel himself go beetroot red. He can’t help it, he’s just so confused on why he didn’t hear Asra come in and why he didn’t spare himself this situation.

Lucio Morgasson: 

Isn’t embarrassed at all. If anything, he’s angry. He thinks the person has a lot of nerve bothering him while he’s trying to enjoy his private time with his lover, how foolish of them. 

He probably either insults them or shouts at them, to which you have to tell him not to and that it’s totally fine.

If the other person is grossed out, you’re probably the one smoothing the  situation over entirely. 

His logic is ‘ I’m count and I say the shit I want.’ So he feels no remorse for shotuing at the other person either.

Lucio’s eyes traced the outline of your body with a feverish grin. He couldn’t stop himself from grabbing you by the arms and going in for a deep and long kiss. Neither one of you breaks until you’re both almost out of breath, in which you give it a minute before going back to it. 

A servant whips past the two of you, accidentally splitting you apart. The poor servant doesn’t even notice as they hurry past you and start scrubbing a spill from earlier. Lucio looks down at them in silent outrage. 

“ Do you know who I am? It is I, your very count! How dare you interrupt my private time!” He yells, the servant looks up nervously. 

“ oh, my lord! I’m so sorry my lord, please I didn’t mean it!”  they beg. 

Lucio spits at them, “ – leave my sight, please.” He shakes his head as they scamper off in fear. “ Get lost! You’re fortunate I don’t fire you!” All you can do is give them an empathetic look before tangling yourself once more with your lover.

Asra Alnazar x reader - Intimacy before and after

Summary: just some headcanons that came to my mind about Asra<3

Warning: smuttt, but nothing crazy tho, there are mostly mentions or hints of smut, nothing specifically described (it’s mostly just angst tbh). There are also SPOILERS for Asra’s route and the Arcana plot in general, so if you haven’t finished playing it I suggest you don’t read this post. 

A/N: just to specify, reader is wrote as non-binary:) Also, this is the first smuttish thing I write, so feedbacks and advices are very much welcome<3<3

Asra has always been a passionate lover. It’s just the way he is, his body can’t help but follow the intensity of feelings his soul feels, and transfer it from the level of the soul to the level of the body

When he first met you, it was almost as if a wave washed over him, depriving him of balance, and he could find it once again in the feeling of you and your body, pressed against him

Passion mixes with intensity and haste the first times the two of you have sex. His every movement is a physical demonstration of  just how deep, how powerful, his feelings for you are

Once the two of you are done, you’re left breathless, legs shaking and sore, sweat covering your body, tears of pleasure running down your cheeks. You’re spent in the best way possible

It starts to change during the beginning of the Red Plague. The deep empathy you feel for the people dying in the streets, the desire to do something to help, takes all your desires to feel pleasure (or anything joyful for that matter), replacing it with the urge to help as many as you can

You start growing distant from each other, the atmosphere in the shop becomes tense, the interactions between you and Asra are short and almost void of any emotion. You start visiting the castle more often, volunteering to help doctor Devorak in finding a cure for this Plague. It comes without say that sex wasn’t really in neither of your minds

And it only becomes worse after your death. Asra feels that same wave washing over him, but this time he doesn’t welcome the feeling of it. It make feel lost, knowing that the very person he used to hold on to, the only one that made him forget the rest of the world, and just give into the pleasure the wave brought

This wave brings grief, desperation. Hell, it even brings hallucinations to some point. He can’t make out what’s real and what’s fake, he can’t discern when he’s dreaming and when he’s awake

It’s at this point that his situationship with Julian starts. We all know just how toxic it was, for the both of them. But Julian needed to feel love in these dreadful times, and Asra needed to feel that same feeling of grounding to save him from the power of that wave

It wasn’t the same as you, he knew that very well. Julian couldn’t fill the void of love Asra felt, he could only satisfy his carnal desires, give him that brief high that, for just a moment, made him forget everything that was happening in his life, his losses, his mistakes, his regrets

But not much time passes before that high becomes unsatisfying, and the guilt of what he’s doing takes over him. How can he do this with Julian, when all he’s thinking of is you? How can he deem himself worthy of having you once again in his arms, when instead of keeping the void you left empty, awaiting for your return, he filled it with someone else, someone not even comparable to you in his eyes?

That’s when the weird relationship between Asra and Julian ends, when Asra conveys all his energies and time in finding a way to get you back

At first, there was nothing in his mind when it came to you other than gratitude to have you back along with the utmost care to tend to you, to comfort you when you were in pain or scared at whatever appeared new to you after you came back. Your mind was at the same level as one of a child, there was no desire in Asra other than to have you back as you were

As time goes by, and you regain the aspects of the person you once were, that desire, that wave of passion, starts to awaken once again in him

And then after years of longing for the feeling of you’re touch, of your body pressed against him, he once again can feel that same feeling of euphoria once your bodies merge once again. Only that this time, his demeanor has changed. There’s a different kind of intensity in his actions

There’s not the feverish haste in his movements anymore; instead, he takes his sweet time kissing you, caressing your body, worshipping you as if you were some sort of deity. He holds you as if you’d disappear in his arms if he loosens his grip too much

His thrusts are slow and deep, making that wave of pleasure that’s in him fall into you too. It makes you feel a deeper kind of pleasure, one with such forse that it has you detached from reality once you reach your high, it knocks the breath out of your lungs, and it makes you only desire to hold Asra closer, to have him deeper inside you. You almost wish you could become one

There are still times where you have fast, rough sex, one that ends quickly and leaves you both breathless and spent. But you just prefer to feel that deeper connection, the one that has you longing for more, that morphs into endless hours of just holding each other. It makes you both feel as if time has stopped, and there’s no one else in the world but you two

my long ass elaborate ranking of Will Wood's (and The Tapeworms') albums!! (Everything is a Lot ranking list)

for the purpose of making this i've been listening to this whole album like non stop for the past week. i even made my parents listen to it with me (my mom liked it and said that she'd go to see the songs live if she could!). it was actually pretty difficult to rank all of them but i think the top 3 will remain unchanged forever, they're some of my all time favorites from will wood!! the way i'll do this i think is i'll write down all the things i like about a particular song, maybe a favorite lyric and a favorite moment or something. or just some general rambling. also i split Everything is a Lot into Everything is a Lot and Destroy to Enjoy, like in the remastered album!

1. Skeleton Appreciation Day in Vestal, NY (Bones)

first time i heard this song was over a year ago so i can't tell what my exact first impression was but it did almost immediately become my favorite song ever. I LOVE IT SO MUCH IT'S INSANE. also fun fact, memberoflottiescult really likes this song!

my main thing with this song is that it sounds like?? you know, bones?? it sounds like skeletons. the melody is like something a skeleton would've come up with. i can't explain it but it is hearable. best song ever

2. 6up 5oh Cop-Out (Pro / Con)

it was one of the first will's songs i've ever liked on spotify. ughhhh the energy, the general mashing of the piano and it sounding like it's about to fall apart any second lol!! the high ass notes. perfect, so perfect. i was listening to this song while purchasing a meter long plush goose. the song is like a brother to me

my favorite part is the spoken "am i being detained? am i under arrest? read me my rights please! I WANT MY PHONECALL" it's uhfhdfhkf. showstopping

3. White Knuckle Jerk (Where Do You Get Off?)

it took me exactly one (1) full listen to this one to absolutely fall in love with it, holy fuck. one of the best things i've ever heard. every time it's on i have to loop it a few times

my favorite parts are the "i wonder how i woke up in the middle of my surgery and i watched them botch my heart. only the second worst thing that i could've thought was 'this won't have to end if it doesn't start'" and "i'll never know what it's like to love you" because ummm???? the emotion in his voice omfg, i love it when this happens. it's so perfect (reminds me of julian devorak..........)

4. Lygerside Daydream

had me hooked after the first listen as well. i love the melody and i love how the lyrics are written here. i, too, want to blow the seeds of dandelions and wish for nothing more. such a sweet sound. one of my favorites as well. nice to daydream to, ha!!!

5. Front Street

idk how to explain this but the pace of the song, like the way the lyrics are sung is so satisfying. just the sentence structure and stuff.. uhhh i really don't know how to describe this, but i love it a whole lot. the piano melody here is amazing as well it so???? I DON'T FUCKING KNOW it's just good

so nice to sing along to!!! "and i hope i don't choke on my vomit tonight" and "take my anxiety and my sobriety, i'll kill two birds with one stoner. so if you see me please, take my keys i don't wanna be an organ donor" are my favorite parts:3 so satisfyingly said

one of my first ones too i'm pretty sure. the chorus really pulled me in. fast and fun. i think i showed it to my godfather once. the spanish part scratches my brain so good

very nice to sing along to as well. i love the melody on the very first verse. i love the part with the piano solo so much

i had to come around to it a bit but i actually love it. love the "the constellations form infinite paisleys in the sky" part, such a nice sound. satisfying lyrics in general

Julian personality styles brainrot. . .

so i was taking personality tests on behalf of julian devorak, as one does, and i thought this was actually kind of interesting.

disclaimer: while i believe this is pretty true to julian as a character, it's probably at least a little biased because i did answer based on how -> I <- see him, so it might not align with your opinion.

**also, any terms used in this are NOT talking about or diagnosing any disorder, just used as ways to describe a personality. this is a for fun test and isn't meant to be taken very seriously. (i.e., scoring "histrionic" does NOT mean this is a representation of hpd). ok? ok.

the results i got (or the results that Julian got) were "Multiple Personality Styles," which basically means i either pressed "agree" too much or he has more than one equally prominent personality style. tied for first, as you can see in the image, are "histrionic" and "depressive". the idea that these two personality styles are expressed equally in julian is lowk funny to me, but also makes perfect sense. those two go hand in hand when it comes to his personality.

histrionic is defined as "overly theatrical or melodramatic in character or style"

depressive personality is related to traits that include (but are not limited to) nonassertiveness, gloominess, self-criticism, low self-esteem, guilt, and anxiety. depressive and histrionic seem to contradict a bit, but julian is a PTSD-ridden, depressed, flamboyant bisexual theater kid who loves people. that's a lot. and if anyone would have two strong personality styles concurrently, it's him.

his next highest is "masochistic" which is, well. yeah.

3rd place is hypomanic, hypomania being considered a milder version of mania (elevated mood or energy, overactivity, etc). this makes sense once again, since we know he can be restless and energetic, has consistent difficulty with sleep, and even worked so hard during the plague that he apparently didn't even notice his apprentice (potentially his love interest, depending on your interpretation), getting sick.

im not going to discuss everything on here, but i do want to define the 0% ones. Sadistic means hurting others and enjoying it, Narcissistic is inflated sense of pride (and a sensitive ego), Negativistic is opposing what other people say and do, and Schizoid is characterized with aloofness and being solitary. for all of these, - for the reason that julian is very sociable, selfless, and doesn't want to hurt a fly - 0% is the right level in my eyes.

so long story short. i just wanted to share these silly personality test results. it makes me understand why valdemar wanted to dissect julian's brain so much (though i will never support that). this was kind of a mess but really im just brainrotting and i don't post that often so 😭

I love Vissenta, I’m just curious what makes you so passionate about her? It’s amazing to see, especially watching her change as you do. What about her drives you to love her so much? (Please infodump away <3)

I love her too! God I love her so much. I've told this story so many times that I'm afraid it's all old news by now, but I always like to tell it again. (Beneath a cut to preserve the dashboard, lol.)

Vissenta started out as a rogue for a mini tabletop campaign with close friends, back in... 2019, I believe. It was actually my first time playing D&D, and I ended up taking a good bit of inspiration from The Lies of Locke Lamora for her character at first. I had this notion of a youngest daughter from a notorious crime family, and said daughter was actually really, really terrible at being the kind of criminal she was supposed to be. In fact, it was being terrible at it (i.e. getting shit-faced drunk on a job) that saved her from being killed in a plot that wiped out the rest of her family. Might sound unrecognizable from who she is today, but well, she's had some years on her.

In 2020, I got into The Arcana, and rather than use my own name to play the game, I put in Vissenta's. She instantly felt at home in the story, especially romancing Julian Devorak, and I fell into the tumblr fandom not long after I started writing fanfic for the pairing. That was when she really started to take shape as the character she is today: a youngest daughter, clairvoyant, and with a special connection to Death. And really, really fond of knives and swords.

As I got into a groove, so did she. She fell in love with other characters, formed bonds that reflect my real-life friendships, and shaped her own story with what felt like only a little guidance from me. I think one reason why I love Vissenta so much is that she sparked a kind of creative energy in me that I'd been struggling to find for years. She isn't me, but she is the avenue through which I explore so many themes that I love to return to again and again: love, sex, death, and the intersection of all three. She is always evolving, but always remains herself, and at this point feels as real and vibrant to me as beloved characters from the canons I've now woven her into.

And I think that's reflected in how people receive her, too. I know that the passion and energy she inspires in me is apparent, and that people enjoy it, which inspires me to keep creating. Bringing her into BG3, whether as Tav or Durge, has been what's helped me find my own personal vantage point and understanding of the story, and I love to see how one shapes the other, back and forth, always evolving.

She's been my lens to explore for years. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Imperfect Relationships - Asra & Julian (Part 2)

Continuing my dive into Asra and Julian’s relationship as it is in “Fool’s Gold.” This part is a different version of the shop flashback scene in Asra’s story.

Disclaimer: I’m aware that Asrian is a controversial ship for valid reasons. I wanted to write a different take on their relationship.

It’s The Wrong Time

When their relationship developed into something more, Julian and Asa had two very different views of what it was. To Julian, it seemed like the start of something substantial and permanent; and to Asra, it was a fun bit of flirting that they figured won't go anywhere. They never really sat down and talked about it and assumed the other had the same idea of the situation that they did.

"I'll walk you home, then."

"What, and interrupt your very important studies? I'll be fine on my own, really."

A tense conversation at the library left Julian feeling uneasy. Asra wasn’t taking a very real threat seriously; and they had grown close enough that the idea of something happening to the magician made Julian’s stomach turn. He had watched Asra leave a bit helplessly, and felt as though his words were being brushed off and ignored.

Asra, for their part, was certainly aware of the dangers presented at the palace. However, their focus was on something far more important than any fear could shake; and they had no desire to help Lucio recover, either. They returned to their small apartment with the intention of continuing their research undisturbed.

The magician hadn’t expected a knock at the door, much less Julian Devorak standing there with an intense expression. He was getting increasingly frustrated with the doctor’s persistence; and if it was a reaction Ilya wanted, then a reaction he would receive.

The look on Asra’s face had given Julian pause. There was something stormy in their expression that Julian hadn’t seen before as they quietly, coldly invited him inside. Julian felt as though this was necessary however; and rather than apologizing and leaving, he accepted the invitation and entered. The door was shut behind him for privacy, but left unlocked. The doctor barely had the chance to open his mouth before Asra spoke, in a quiet voice that stopped him cold.

“Why can’t you just leave me alone?”

Asra saw the hurt that flashed across Julian’s face, and a small twist to his gut accompanied the expression. Confrontation was never his strong suit, and Asra considered telling Julian to leave and forget about this entire thing. But he was frustrated and upset that Julian had yet again invaded his personal space—quite literally this time.

Julian remained silent as Asra continued, but there was something angry and upset twisting in his chest with each word. Why hadn’t they told him any of this before? How was he supposed to know? They never told him what he was doing wrong, just shut him out. He’s not a magician, he isn’t psychic.

“You tell me nothing, and you never listen! Can’t you see I’m trying to help you?”

Help him? Help him? Asra had never once asked for Julian’s help, he didn’t owe the doctor anything for something Julian was choosing to do of his own accord. And now he was raising his voice at him, practically in his face with just as much energy as Julian always acted with.

Asra still wasn’t listening. Julian couldn’t keep him safe forever; and they still weren’t listening. His frustrations continued to mount, and he was all but yelling desperately to try and get Asra to hear him. To listen.

“I never asked for your help, Ilya.”

“You are so—stubborn! God I don’t know if I want to kill you or kiss you!”

For a moment they were briefly aligned with the same thoughts. Shock; then a realization. Julian had fallen silent, and Asra’s mouth was slightly parted in shock.

“… then kiss me and get this all over with.”

Asra’s face was already flushed, and his hands were curled into tight fists. He wanted the argument to stop already; he had things to do, and part of him didn’t want to drive Julian off either. Maybe he can help, Asra’s mind insisted. And though he found him infuriating, Asra couldn’t truthfully say he hated the doctor. A part of him was fairly pleased that Julian held that sort of affection for him; they both had something to give one another.

Julian had to process the words—really, truly process what Asra had said. They were both silent before Julian took one swift step forward, cupped Asra’s face in his gloved hands, and leaned in to kiss the magician while he still had the resolve.

They left their argument at the door, unresolved and unaddressed. That’s how most of their disagreements ended, ignored; and the internal frustrations with one another only mounted over time until finally it gave out and they wanted nothing more to do with one another.

🌌 MILKY WAY - what was the inspiration behind your oc? what was the first thing you decided about them?

Ellis - As she’s literally my self insert, the biggest inspiration behind Ellis was myself! I made her as a way to imagine myself in the world of Twisted Wonderland and how I would interact with the world! Over time, she evolved into her own person/oc and no longer a complete copy of myself! My major inspirations for Ellis were Aurora from Sleeping Beauty and Belle from Beauty and the Beast as they are my favorite Disney princesses!

Fabian - I was thinking to myself one day and thought “Wait, has anyone ever made an oc twisted from Flynn Rider?” And so Fabian was born! To make Fabian, I was inspired by several other characters who had the same energy as Flynn Rider (in my humble opinion) such as Julian Devorak from the game The Arcana or Dimitri from Anastasia! I knew I wanted to make a charming and dramatic goofball at the end of the day!

Alice - When I was first brainstorming Alice, I knew I wanted to make them a vampire, or at least a vampire like creature! Due to them being twisted off of Lady Dimitrescu, I also knew I just had to make them tall! It’s a given at this point! Besides Lady Dimitrescu being an obvious inspiration, I was also inspired by many old movie stars such as Hedy Lamarr or Elizabeth Taylor to make the vibes of Alice!

🌈 RAINBOW - what advice would they give to their younger self?

Ellis - Ellis has much to say to her younger self but decided to keep it a bit short and so she said “Get yourself out there! People will love you for being you! Who cares if you’re seen as weird, you’re you.” She then stretched out her arms to give her younger self a big hug!

Fabian - The advice that Fabian would give his younger self is that “Keep looking up kid, it’ll all be sunshine and rainbows one day.” He would then ruffle his younger self’s hair and give them a high five.

Alice - Although she doesn’t have much to say to her younger self, Alice would tell her younger self that “You’re doing wonderfully just keep doing what you do best, it’ll always be the best for you.” Alice was out of things to say to her younger self so she just gave younger her a pat on the head

In no particular order, I now would like to present to you - 10 of my own fictional 'crushes.'

(Let me be clear - I live in my little fantasy worlds, and escapism is my crutch; I have far more than ten).

Let's goooooo!

1. Julian "Ilya" Devorak (The Arcana: A Mystic Romance)

I mean - obviously. As amazing as the main six are, Julian will probably be my hands-down favourite. He's dramatic, he's witty, he's dashing, he's romantic, he's hilarious, and he can pull off an eyepatch better than anyone I can think of.

Also, he has that sub energy in a way that made me realize that I am, in fact, into that - especially in his case.

Look, I get that most of the NPCs and traveling companions in Skyrim have the character depth of a puddle, but gods-dammit, if I didn't fall hard for this one.

2. Farkas (The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim)

Aside from the fact that he is, as far as I'm concerned, one of the most attractive characters in the game, he's also kinda sweet.

You can bet that if I'm playing Skyrim, this werewolf will always be end-game for me.

Yes, yes - I know. Of all the characters from this universe I could have been drawn to, THIS is the one that turned my head? I dunno what to tell ya.

3. Sandor "The Hound" Clegane (A Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones)

He is likely to be one of the most 'toxic' ones on my list, and of course, if any man were to pull half of what he probably would in real life, I'd kick him to the curb in a heartbeat, but something about this character just works for me.

He's built like a brick shithouse, he's protective to a fault, he's dark and brooding, he's a big ol' grump, and he was there looking out for Sansa and Arya when he could have easily just left them to their fates.

I adore this character. ♡

4. Beelzebub (Helluva Boss)

When Helluva Boss came out with this character, I was instantly smitten. The universe Vivzie Pop has created is full of characters that could have been on this list (Cherri Bomb, Alastor, Carmilla Carmine, Lucifer, Lilith, etc), but this character, even having only appeared in a single episode, left a lasting impression! ♡

She's the life of the party, and a sweetheart to boot - and I am here for it.

Astarion had me reeling well before I'd even had a chance to play the game for myself. Between the writers, the character designers, and the legendary voice actor (Neil Newbon), Astarion truly stands out even in the game's incredible, all-star cast.

5. Astarion (Baldur's Gate 3)

Yeah, yeah - call me basic. But come on - I mean, this character is absolutely irresistible.

Look, Sinbad is cool and all, but Proteus was always my favourite. He's handsome, he's responsible, he's loyal to a fault, and he's the type to always do the right thing, more concerned with the spirit of the law over the word of the law.

That, and truth be told, I'm a sucker for a good vampire romance - and that leg hook. ♡

6. Proteus (Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas)

I mean, I like a bad guy a lot of the time, but this man has a heard of gold, and I adore that about him.

I know, I know - two characters in one entry may technically be cheating, but I honestly couldn't choose. And this is my damn list entry, so bite me. 😜

7. Charon/Fawkes (Fallout 3)

Keeping with my odd habit of falling for... unconventional characters, these two are fitting in their own ways.

Then, there's Charon - look, my first impression of this Ghoul is hiring him and watching him immediately blast Ahzrukhal to bits with a point-blank shotgun blast to the face - and that's just fine by me. From that point on, he was my main companion throughout the majority of my playthrough, and for some reason, he grew on me fast. Don't get me wrong, Cooper Howard is ✨️ foine ✨️ but I like to think that Charon (and for some, Hancock) walked so Cooper could run.

On one hand, Fawkes (despite being a bit ol' super mutant) is such a kind, thoughtful and heroic character with a great head on his shoulders, despite his circumstances. It does also help that I feel much safer in the game with him as a companion - and super mutants and ghouls deserve love too, dammit (well, okay, not all super mutants because the other 99.9% of them are about as bad as they come, but you know what I mean). That, and with me being a tall person who typically does the protecting in real life, it's nice to have a character that could make me feel small.

He's tough, he's sarcastic, he's misunderstood, and I adore his dynamic with Rebecca throughout the game. Resident Evil 0 may be pure cheese, but I am here for it.

8. Billy Coen (Resident Evil 0)

Let's face it; the Resident Evil universe is chalk-full of damn well godlike attractive characters, but Resident Evil 0 was one of the first games I ever played in the series, and right from his first appearance in the game, I was completely smitten with Billy.

Now the poor guy's basically been born into a n Awoken vessel with zero context of why people just want to shoot him in the face. Did you know his ghost sings him lullabies?

9. Crow (Destiny 2)

I know, I know. 'b U t H e K i L L e D c A y D e - 6' - *slap* No. Uldren killed Cayde - Crow is NOT Uldren. That's just how the lore works.

Oof - my heart. Poor baby bird. 😭 Despite everything that's happened, and how tragic things have been for him ever since the moment he opened his eyes, he still has so much try. He wants to be better. He wants to help. He wants to take responsibility and accountability for actions that weren't even his, but he's seen the impact and the effect Cayde's death has had on others, and he's stopping at nothing to just be the beat version of himself that he can. He makes mistakes, he tries to get better, and that's all any of us can do. And I love him for it.

To wrap up the list, I wanted to go with the very first fictional crush that I can remember having! I was head over heels for this character for a loooooong time, and even now, almost 25 years later, he's still got it. ♡

10. Kakashi Hatake (Naruto)

I wasn't sure if I should do this chronologically, or in order of how much I've simped for these people, so let's just get to it:

1. Zuko - ATLA

He was my first fictional crush.

I would write self insert fic about him (which never saw the light of AO3 thankfully), and I would rewatch all of ATLA just to his character go from "I can fix him" brat to adorkable edgy brat.

2. Bill Cipher - Gravity Falls

He had what I at the time called the "sexy British accent". I never even joined the school of thought "he'd burn the whole world down but me". I was chill with burning.

3. Bucky Barnes - MCU

And the bad boy parade continues. I firmly believed that I could fix him, and going back to the (once again thankfully unpublished) self insert slash fics of the time, I realise that I had no idea what in him needed fixing.

4. John Hancock - Fallout 4

Nothing makes me fall harder for a sad meow meow than him going "I'm gonna stop bugging you with my problems, I know I'm too fucked up to love".

I have a save file right before that convo, and I like to revisit it every so often.

5. Egor Serling - Deathloop

While on the topic of sad meow meows, let me introduce you to mister "I've been invisible my whole life 🥺". He's pathetic and slightly unhinged, what is there not to love? ( y/n in my fic about him agrees).

6. David Sarif - Deus Ex

It's hard to pick only one character from the DX games, but I think "Daddy Sarif", as I affectionately call him whenever he's brought up in conversation, belongs here.

He is rich, smart, and believes the illuminati want to tear down his company (and has 0 evidence to back that up).

7. Crosshair - Clone Wars: the Bad Batch

A sad meow meow, a bad boy, and white hair? Can a man be more perfect? Well he's also a sniper ...

He's like Egor, but he'll talk back when you tell him to get on his knees, you know?

8. Billie Lurk - Dishonored

You know the jist by this point, sad, with questionable morals, daddy issues, and missing an arm.

My favourite thing about her is how she goes "this is a robbery" with an audible smirk, as she robs a bank. And also that she kept the creepy art project her girlfriend gave her a decade ago. How sweet is that?

I need to write a self-insert x her fic. But I don't have any Dishonored OCs :/

9. Alyx Vance - Half Life

She was my first girl crush. And I still remember the exact moment I went "damn that chick is cool". It was shortly after reuniting with Barney, when I had to shoot my way through some stupid combine stronghold, and Alyx just crawled through the vents and waited for me on the other side.

(She is the reason I have £500 saved to one day buy a VR set)

10. Bo-Katan Kryze - the Mandalorian (no this isn't cheating, it's a different sub-fandom XP)

Is she just a mommy version of Alyx? Maybe. But the Mandalorian (the TV series), sure helped with the popularity of her character... (I'm talking about that one ass scene).

She also has that sad kitty side to her, when she sits alone in her massive space castle after all her friends have left her.
