The worst part about MHA’s the ending is that it ended on arguably the best, most funny and interesting plot and dynamic I’ve ever seen and we’ll prob never see a canon manga of it 😂. Hear me out, I know people hate teacher deku because that’s ’not what he wanted to do with his life and he’s powerless now’ BUT HEAR ME OUT: He has more power now than he ever has. He is in control of every situation rn, he would’ve been fine not being a hero but Bakugo just haaaad to have him. But anyways deku as a teacher is hilarious and interesting and I especially love him finally coming into his own and being confident and less flustered. I also love the dynamic that shifts with deku being more important to Bakugo and more openly as well ever since he apologized. I just feel like there’s so much wasted potential in a more slice of life comedy where deku teaches new heroes while also balancing it with being a quirkless hero. Idk it’s just. There’s so much possible content and hilarity and I hope there’s some fanfics about this.

I actually think Dorian and Orym should fight more.

Remember when their slowly building tension over and entire episode (full of passive aggressive remarks and blame throwing) led to threats? And how after, Orym thanked Dorian for handing over the crown sadly because he knew Dorian would be mad at him? And Dorian couldn't even look at him because he was legitimately hurt, thinking Orym was disappointed in him for doing what he thought was right? That was peak.

The fact they went from that to their current closeness and trust is the best part of their entire dynamic. Their relationship was hard fought and still will be. They will fight for it because they respect and care for one another deeply, and their disagreements don't change that, only improve it.

I just finished my reread of JLA: Tower of Babel and frankly, I'm surprised by the lack of Superbat fics about this plotline. I mean, it's the perfect setting for all the Superbat angst you could dream of.

How everyone keeps pointing out that Supes is the one closest to Batman, Clark emphatically referring to what happened as "your betrayal", how Bruce's files are cold and professional about everyone EXCEPT Clark (his fear of seeing him in pain), his guilt, how everyone else is loud and angry but Clark is silent and hurt, the fact Clark gave him the kryptonite in the first place. Clark having the final say and voting Bruce out of the League. Bruce KNOWING that he would do that and leaving because he didn't want to hear it.

The confrontation on Divided We Fall with all the accusations and the obvious hurt on both sides... then the agreement to reveal their identities together.

Tell me this wouldn't be an excellent break up/getting back together fic? The hurt/comfort of all times. If someone doesn't write this soon, I might have to.

I think a creative choice I really like about The Fall of the House of Usher is that it FEELS more like a play than a television show. And that's PERFECT for adapting Poe's works. His writing is theatrical, overwhelming, flashy! If you go into the show expecting something more like Hill House or Midnight Mass, you'll be disappointed because TFOTHOU is not some emotional piece that asks you to be still in melancholy or human pain, it instead asks you to enjoy the spectacle.

The entire series, from the actors and their dialogue to the sets, is reminiscent of early theatre where the audience gets to laugh at the "plight" of the idiot, gluttonous elite. This is morbid catharsis, just as Poe would have wanted it.
