i want the twins to be friends. i want them to be able to sit next to each other in comfortable silence in the dining hall. i want aaron to go grocery shopping and andrew to tag along. i want them to play games together where andrew keeps winning. i want andrew to quiz aaron. i want them to joke around. i want them to pull identical twin pranks. i want aaron to look after the cats when neil and andrew are not home for a while. i want them to feel like family, not just a legal obligation.

I actually think it’s incredibly important that both Callum and Rayla are adopted (and in different ways) and the phrase ‘real’ parent is never used. Like:

Callum referring to Damian as his ‘dad dad’ and Harrow referring to him as Callum’s biological father when he says he truly sees Callum as his own son, and Rayla correcting Callum when he says ‘your parents and runaan’ (‘they’re all my parents’).

Family is such crucial theme in tdp and I just really enjoy that they’ve explored it in so many ways, especially with two of its main characters

The problem with liberals is that they're convinced that someone will save them. They have the exact same mindset as conservatives: if we get our guy in, they'll fix things for us! They'll reward us for our loyalty!

The problem comes in their conviction. When conservatives lose, it's the system acting against them because of the oppositions perceived power. When liberals lose, it's ONLY peoples problem. People on their side not doing the right thing. Traitors.

The only difference between conservatives and liberals is who's fault it is at any given moment. Everything else is the same.

When Keith outgrows his jacket he gets upset because it was such a comfort item for him and he loved it so much because it was a gift from his dad.

Lance helped Keith find a display case or just something to keep it in good condition whilst also allowing them to see it and take it out if wanted.

Keith was fine with that. Being able to see it whenever he wanted, although he was still upset he could t wear it but him and Lance would always check it to make sure it's still in good condition.

Years later, Keith is just doing his thing and his kid comes running in the room wearing a familiar jacket. He cried.

He held his kid close and when his kid asked if they could keep it, well Keith couldn't say no to that face, especially since the jacket was being used.
