Playing Spider-Man 2, and I am torn between two possibilities:

Superhero bullshit would drive people out of large cities in record numbers, since they are constantly getting destroyed and threatened and invaded seemingly at all times. Or...

Superhero bullshit would lower the property values in big cities so much that they would quickly become the only truly affordable housing in the country, causing a massive increase in their population as the broke masses decide that the rent is worth the risk.

Honestly I think both are pretty compelling. Hell, you could make an argument that both would happen eventually; first the first, then the second.
