well because i literally AM in my wizard tower scouring through magic spells looking for a way to place a hex on the cousin to hannibal lector that they have all fallen in love with. and i've got bags under my eyes but also my nails are done and i've got a reallyyyyy cute wizard robe which flounces each time i turn. and the books are spread out over my kitchen table in a haphazard but also sort of chic way. and i've got several pastel highlighters. and britney spears is playing so i'm sort of bopping around but this DOES NOT take away from the fact that i AM going to find a way to travel universes, magically, and bring a real glock and really kill tommy the character from 911-land. it's literally my solemn promise and vow and i took a blood oath on it.

im really happy that i found this blog! i really regret getting rid of all my lps as a kid. i felt like i was cringe if i kept them. but i held onto one after 10 years of feeling like i couldnt like them. one of my most prized lps, the very first koala. i remember begging my grandma to get lps sets with the stickers so i had the chance to mail in the stickerbook for it. 7 year old me was so freaking happy that i got it. besides my ferrets, it was my top favorite pet. 7 years after, felt like i couldnt like things that i used to like as a kid. i cant remember if i threw them away or if i donated them (most likely tossed. my family didnt believe in donating.) but my koala stayed. 10 years later, the new gen 7 lps are out. its been the only perk of working at target. ive bought so many new lps and now after all this time my koala has sooo many new friends. i just wish younger me never did that.

the idea that we are able to outgrow things simply because we age is wack to me— i felt similarly when i was younger and i wanted to sell my lps, luckily my mom told me not to (i think she knew i would regret it if i did.) i don't have those lps anymore due to something that happened, but i do wonder how it would've been if i had ended up selling them.

truth be told you're never ""too old"" for anything, like toys !! if something brings you joy then you shouldn't have to get rid of it or denounce it in fear of what others may say, or just because you feel you've outgrown them.

i hope my blog has been able to give you some sense of joy and nostalgia :3c
