I promise I'll stop with the kissy kissy sketches soon. I' 'm still on The Fall Guy romantic mood withdrawals. I'll get back to Muse soon. I promise...
This is actually a discarded sketch but wanted to post it anyway.

La bellísima sirenita gatita @littlekittenmermaid recommended a second song. This is from the musical Journey To Bethlehem.
We Become We, by Fiona Palomo and Milo Manheim
This is why she recommended this song:
"And this one, it's soooo cute!!! It's funny cause it is from a musical. It is basically the navity on a musical 🤣 buuuut that song is just so romantic and cute, their voices are so soft."
This truly is a sweet song, and the harmonies are so beautiful. This will definitely be added to my playlist.
Here are the lyrics:
Can we become we
No longer known as just you and me
Two separate lives now in unity
Stuck here together but
Will this always be just an arrangement?
Can we become more
Than half of a union we're chosen for?
Where I am your best half
And I am yours
Stuck here forever
And hopefully not ending in estrangement
It's the step of faith
We have to take sometimes (if I'm with you, I can take it)
But if we are one
What happens to you and I? (If I'm with you, I will make it)
Will this always be just an arrangement
We'll find out in time if we don't break it
Can mine become yours
Combining our dreams
Without keeping score?
Always together, but never bored
No choice in the matter but
This will never work without each other
Can we become we? (Can we become we?)
Start a new line on this family tree
Two hearts connected by one beat
Your hand in mine and
I could never choose to love another
Maybe one day I can learn to love you, too

Y'all know that I love Epic the Musical and Journey to the West right? Well a certain song and it's reprise have attached itself to my Jttw hyperfixation especially.
I always envision Wukong being Odysseus in the song, and normally Tripitaka/Tang Sanzang as Polites. A world-weary warrior king being advised to "greet the world with open arms" by his more hopeful friend. Tripitaka is someone who's faith in others borders naivety, and in Hero is Back (one of my faves) it's attributed to childish innocence. Then again the reprise works for Liuer and Dasheng for similar reasons...
But with the release of the Underworld Saga I learned that Odysseus encounters a certain shade with his own reprise...
I started getting emotional at the thought of Wukong's dynamic with Ao Lie in LMK. Wukong on edge after his imprisonment and being forced to protect the monk, while Ao Lie advises the king to "go with the flow" and accept the world as it comes. Wukong taking the other's advice and finding friends in their group of pilgrims.
Then the Samadhi Fire incident happens. And Wukong blames himself for at least the next thousand years.
A memory appears to him while he's trapped in the Scroll:
Ao Lie: "This life is amazing when you greet it with open arms..."
Wukong, stopping in his tracks: "Ao Lie?"
(*The memory of Ao Lie turns, now far older than who we met with Mei. His body is covered in burn scars. His smile unwavering.*)
Ao Lie, reaching out: "Whatever we face, we'll be fine if we're leading from the heart. No matter the place, we can light up the world. Here's how to start: Greet the world with open arms! Greet the world with open arms..."
Wukong, crying: "Ao Lie..."
(*Wukong hugs the memory of his friend without question. The memory reminds him that he cannot stay forever.*)
and yes I've mentioned this is encounter in a SlowBoiled au post.

I tried to translate "Sunny" by Yorushika:
Translated Lyrics:
As if you are the wind
If I shut my eyes, dusk would fall about us
I wonder what you're thinking about? Hmm…
As your eyelids were parting
Revealing eyes of time-blown glass¹
They were tinted with the tiniest scent of Spring Sun
Shine light through the clearings! O flowers, bloom!
Fault the blooming Spring Sun
If this rain ever was to stop
Spring would adorn you with its Sunbeams
O sound of my beating heart! Be still!
We, the Sunny Spring breeze
Go far beyond those clouds
Billowing ever on in the distance
As if you were an the pattern of a sky about to clear
If I shut my eyes to you, blue would fall about us
What is it that makes you so sad? Hmm…
As your eyelids were parting
Revealing eyes of time-blown glass
Clouded with the tiniest scent of rain
Weep for your weeping! O sky, weep!
Fault the wailing rain
Even in this unending downpour
Above the clouds is a Sunny Spring day
O rain who beats upon the breast of the Earth, resound!
We, the Spring storm
Go, too, far beyond those oceans
Drawing ever wider their horizon
A passing shower that perches on the tips of grass
Sheepclouds running loose,² that too, the fault of Spring
As if wind, Spring billows in my lungs
Waiting for the clouds to clear
Shine light through the clearings! O sky, rend apart!
Fault the tattering Spring
If it were to ever stop raining
Spring would adorn you with its sunbeams
Bowing the strings of our hearts
We, the Spring breeze,
Call forth a sunlight on our sound that will clear the sky
Come! Make still this very song!
Shine light through the clearings! O flowers, bloom!
Fault the blooming Spring
Go far beyond the clouds
Billowing ever on in the distance
Footnotes:
ビイドロ (Biidoro) [en. Vidoro] is a term used for a kind of artisan glass usually incorporating many colors. The glassblowing techniques needed for these glassworks are very refined and practiced very intensely, thus "time-blown glass" felt appropriate. Notable examples of this would be the Aomori Vidoro so please look at their works, they're very beautiful!
Sheepclouds or Altocumulus clouds are mid-altitude clouds which usually signify settled or pleasant weather of a given area
On the Title:
The title is 晴る (haru) which is a play on the words 春 (haru) meaning "Spring" and 晴れる (hareru) meaning "To be clear", "To stop raining", or "To be sunny". This appears throughout the song and my translation aims to find a middle-altitude between all of those definitions and Spring-ness. The official translation of the title is Sunny.
Translator's Note:
The line, "Shine light through the clearings" or 「晴れに晴れ」 was so fascinating to translate, and it is only thanks to n-buna's wonderful writing in which the clearings filled with sun might be both the sky and the forest earth.
n-buna is very partial to the seasonal 季語 (kigo) or Season Words of Haiku, especially that of Masaoka Shiki, thus this song plays within the pallet of spring so incredibly beautifully. Please enjoy!
