Oh, this is still here. I had been up all night editing together videos that related exactly to my experience with Khonjin and the kind of psychological abuse he does over and over. I was slipping into psychosis, unknown to me then. That's why I couldn't sleep. Within 2 days, I was hospitalized.

Dark circles rimmed the princess’s under eyes, blemishing her paper white flesh like spilled ink across parchment. She looked as if she’d been in Hyrule’s field fist fighting with a Stalchild all night or nearly had the life sucked out of her by a ReDead. In truth, she had been up majority of the night, though it hadn’t been because she’d fought valiantly against either of those creatures. 

A series of ominous — no, horrific — nightmares had plagued the Hylian maiden while she slept. She’d believed the first nightmare to be a fluke; everyone had the occasional nightmare. The second time she’d awoken, she’d thought it was because she’d still been so focused on the nightmare that jolted her awake the first time that she had immediately slipped right back to where the terror left off. 

When she’d awoken a third and final time, skin slick with sweat and disheveled hair plastered to her clammy forehead after tossing and turning in her sheets, she’d given up all hope of getting any real sleep. She’d settled for curling up against her pillows with a book to occupy her mind until the maids arrived to “wake” her.

The women had noticed, but they’d been polite enough to not say anything. She’d suspected they might have whispered quietly to one another after they’d departed from her bedchamber, but at least they’d been considerate enough to wait until she could no longer see them.

With Joshua it was a different situation. He hadn’t tiptoed or waited to gossip with someone else behind closed doors; the moment he’d laid eyes on her that afternoon he hadn’t hesitated to ask what had happened to her. Zelda had, in return, insisted that she wasn’t ill, she hadn’t gotten into a brawl, nor had she given herself two faint black eyes with a weapon or by falling.

She’d assured him of everything it wasn’t, but she hadn’t exactly been forthcoming with her answers when he’d pressed the issue. 

And now he was throwing this in her face: the metaphorical friend card.

“I did not sleep last night, alright?” The response had come in a huff of exasperation after she’d slammed her quill onto her desk. It may have been a bit of an overreaction, which would explain why she continued to stare intently at the aforementioned quill instead of lifting her head to meet the gaze she felt certain was fixated on her. So she was on edge. She hadn’t wanted to go into detail, hoping to either avoid having to explain why her nightmares bothered her so much or potentially worrying him.

Synopsis: Following the troops of El Condor to their camp, Daredevil stumbles upon El Condor's plot to use helicopters as weapons to "free" the oppressors of his people. Daredevil saves the captured US representatives under El Condor's capture, and defeats most of his men. Chasing El Condor onto a helicopter, Daredevil forces the foe to leap from his helicopter.

Battling on the ground in front of the statue commemorating the original El Condor, a fluke bolt of lightning strikes the base of the mountain causing rocks and the statue to tumble down on the combatants. While Daredevil manages to get to safety, he is unable to save El Condor who is crushed under the rocks.

Part of Jonah knew it had maybe not been the wisest idea to remind Blackwell of his name that way, even though he felt like he'd done it fairly politely, compared to how flippant his inner reaction had been the second he read the client's text. Usually, he likely would not have cared. It wasn't rare that guests called him by a nickname of sorts, and most often Jonah even enjoyed those - but usually those names weren't insults, and not thrown around by men like Blackwell. Being called someone's pet was one thing, but being deemed a pipsqueak? That was another story. Steven's second text was left unanswered as the blonde angrily stepped under the water of his shower, taking the time to calm himself down a bit. As much as he didn't want to be seen as a shy weakling by the man, Jonah knew it wasn't smart to overcompensate in the other direction and cross the lines to being disrespectful. Besides, that wasn't him. He wasn't ashamed of being polite and obedient, after all; he simply wanted to prove that this was an asset, not a hindrance to do his job well.

After the shower, Jonah chose what to wear to make his way over to Blackwell - he didn't want to look too innocent, but the goal wasn't to dress up like a whore from a movie, either. A simple white shirt, tight enough to show his swimmer's physique, and some shorts that were light enough for the warm weather yet nicely hugged Jonah's curves, and hung just low enough on his hips to allow a peak at the jockstrap he wore underneath. Happy with his appearance, the blonde made his way to the client's cabin, keeping his head high and shoulders straightened along the way. As he arrived, Jonah knocked once to announce his presence, and entered as he'd been instructed. "Hello, Sir", he greeted with a nod, his smile barely more than a polite acknowledgment. Looking briefly through the room, Jonah's gaze fell onto the table where the other had laid out his toys and tools. For some reason, he wasn't exactly surprised; Blackwell did not seem like the type that would go easy on him, and yet he was eager to prove it would take more to intimidate him. After all, this was not Jonah's first day on the job, and he wasn't going to allow himself to be caught off guard again so quickly.

A Brief Appreciation Of Richard Wolff

When I was younger, I remember attempting to explain to an entire classroom of stoners, how it was impossible to solve a lot of the problems of the wider world in our current dominant economic system.

I didn’t quite have the dialouge to explain how we were hindered by an economic system that doesn’t prioritize any of the things that actually benefit the people in it.

Among the many difficulties of articulating that, is the fact that there aren’t many solutions or alternatives that are discussed in the open.

 Whether it be in mainstream media, academia, or by the politicians of almost any country in the world. All these supposed cornerstones institutions, which supposedly exist to guide their country’s, and concern themselves with the well-being of it’s populous, and none are interested in looking at alternatives to an economic system that does not help to accomplish any of it’s people’s goals.

Guys like Richard Wolff are the kinds of speakers that help with that.

Surely, among the most important speakers of our lifetime and a staunch anti-capitalist and as the years have gone, Richard’s works seem to hit closer and closer to home regarding what is looking more and more like the downfall of an economic system that is so obsessed with growth, it has begun eating itself.

This is what I struggled to explain to my peers as a youth.

Does capitalism solve any of socitey’s major issues?

Starvation and malnutrition? Nah

Does it help house all people ? Nah, and in a lot of situations, like what you see in countries like Finland, is that it’s governments that end homelessness in their respective countries. On top of thar, I hate to break it to you, but housing poor people, isn’t profitable, so the real estate tycoons don’t even tangentially help with that.

What about unemployment?

I mean businesses and industries compensating workers and thus being able to increase profits, expand operations and hire more workers, is supposed to be this magic pill that ends unemployent, right? That way the existence of several large enterprises spread out across industries throughout the economy is supposed to solve that probelm right?

Only it doesn’t, because no one hires more workers than what they need, because that just bad business, and employing people isn’t the point of business, being profitable is.

Here’s the real twist though, through years of schooling, you’ve already been conditioned to believe that a lot of the things you have as recourse and protection are bad for you, or not in your personal interest.

For instance, do you want better conditions at work? Would be a whole lot easier if you could hold the people in charge accountable, kind of like what a union is supposed to do.

Only wait, you don’t believe in unions do you?.

In 2022, I no longer roll my eyes in despair, being stuck trying to explain this, while also not having any sources of information or media to help my case. In 2022, I can finally let go of feeling like the only man on earth that sees this bullshit.

Richard Wolff’s work undertakes the daunting task of undoing years and generations of misinformation and miseducation regarding an economic system that is the only thing people have ever known, and on top of that, contending with misappropriations like “Marxists want to take your property”.

What Richard Wolff’s work does is peel back at layers worth of information noise, that really came about in the 1950′s, back when capitalism had to protect itself against Soviet communism.

Most of what you believe about Marxism, socialism and stateism, were ideas first created during that time. Ideas created at a time when both capitalist and communist powers utilized propaganda to ensure their people didn’t consider alternatives.

What you missed in all that though, is that niether capitalism nor communism arbitrates or advocates for the workers owning the means of production and keeping the proceeds from what they create.

Among the most helpful of the ideas of which Wolff is a big proponent of, is that of worker-owned co-ops.

A worker owned co-op is the idea or structure, by which each and every worker of a company being entitled to an equal share of the profits, where as in a normal company structure only the ownership are entiled to a share of the proceeds.

If you think this stuff is pie in the sky, you need to wake up and smell the coffee.

The old capitalist structure and the businessman that built their fortunes in it, are failing everyday people, and alternatives aren’t an idea to be tried at a more opportune time, they are a neccesity right now, and people worldwide are noticing.

An article by the Labour Research Service about a printing company in Cape Town, South Africa, named the Finger Printing Co-operatice Ltd, that had to improvise when their printing machine (thier means of production) was siezed.

Of all the countries in the world, none are a better place to export the idea of worker owned co-operatives, than South Africa.

We have a large agricultural sector, mining and farming sectors, as well as manufacturing, but most importantly, we have people, the most important resource there is, is the human resources.

Allowing workers to collaborate to firstly own the materials, equipment and instruments they would need to do this work, and then share in the profits of whatever goods they create, services they provide, or whatever raw materials they mine/farm. 

This may be the best way to reach down to a sector of the economy that is even below the small businessman.

In short, South Africa is tailor made for worker owned co-operatives, and as stated in the Labour Research Service’s artice, the country already has a history of worker owned co-ops, going back to the 1980′s when manufacturing plants wouldn’t hire union employees.

Wolfe’s contributions to articulating the need for an alternate economic system have helped greatly in helping understand how the goverments, business and globalism have all created an economic system that only helps those at the top.

This was, and still is, no easy feat.

A lot of academic speakers that speak against capitalism, must couch their commentary or risk being seen as a pariah, a social miscrient, or a derelict. Sufficient to say speaking this way of the reality that is all anyone has ever known, comes at the risk of being discredited to no end.

This doesn’t deter Wolf at all.

He makes no bones about what the problem is, or what he is speaking against. This is not the academic who will leave breadcrumbs without being explicit about it. Wolfe’s approach is too straighforward for that, and he acknowledges that the workplace being where people spend most of the time, automatically makes it a hub of political activity.

That’s a very unpopular message, not just among the business class, but probably among segment of regular working people, who are discouraged, and even intimidated by speaking against thier work lives, the economic system and how our lives revolve around chasing money.

As global economics clamp down harder and put the costs back on to consumers, by far the hardest work there is, is letting people know there is a problem and for which the people will need to create  and implement alternatives.

Thankless work.

And it’s the reason why Richard Wolff is by far the most important speaker of his time.

YouTuber Joshua Fluke has a way about him that makes his videos come across as and have the feel that you are watching a pseudo-cheerful dystopian intro to Final Fantasy as narrated by Kenneth Parcell in 30 Rock. 

His channel has a haunting cheerfulness to it that is all too eerily familiar in a comfortable way.

As a result, employers are increasingly resistant to the idea of their employees being overemployed. After all, why would an employer want to provide the same benefits and pay for an employee who is only working half the time?…

I'm so glad Josh is covering this because stigma- posts like these enrage me. How dare that employer ( with that tacky fake blond hair wig ugh), ridicule a candidate publicly and call them a parasite just because they took a 5-year gap??

Okay they don't want to hire them, that's fine that is their choice. But by all means, stop with the public harassment of a candidate who had a five-year gap just because they were looking for a better job. You don't know what they're going through, what's going on in their personal life, and their overall mental/physical health through those 5 years.

Maybe they took that gap because of their mental health, did this employer not even consider that?

And oh my gosh, why even drill the candidate on what they're doing during the gap and especially how they're earning. That's none of their business how the candidate is living during the job gap-especially the question on how they're getting income smh

Employers don't realize candidates are humans too and they have a life of their own and are going through things. Life is not all about having a job- there's more to life than that.

The stigma that all people should have a job at all times to be an accepted member of society is bullshit because that does not account for the myriad of other factors that plays a part in a person's life.
