So the Republicans are trying to shut down the government to damage their own states so that they make the Democrats look bad before the election… Is that the game plan they’re going with?
Here is the full list of Republicans who voted against the stopgap bill to prevent a government shutdown in September 2024:
Indiana: James R. Baird, Jim Banks, Rudy Yakym III, Victoria Spartz

Florida: Aaron Bean, Gus M. Bilirakis, Kat Cammack, Byron Donalds, Matt Gaetz, Anna Paulina Luna, Cory Mills, Bill Posey, Michael Waltz, Daniel Webster
Texas: Michael Cloud, Tony Gonzales, Lance Gooden, Morgan Luttrell, Nathaniel Moran, Chip Roy, Keith Self, Randy Weber Sr., Beth Van Duyne, Roger Williams

Why is this important to me? I would have been out of a job. Government contractors would rather cut you and rehire you for less pay or benefits. Also, if I miss 1 or 2 paychecks I will be homeless.

Over the years I have found that actors who are great friends for real life have the best chemistry onscreen. You can't manufacture that kind of chemistry. It's just natural. The physicality. The effortless comfortability they have around each other. The fire chemistry. These couples are James Lafferty and Bethany Joy Lenz from One Tree Hill who were great friends for real and are still close to this day. They've been to many comic cons and the chemistry is still on full display at these events (Nathan and Haley), Joshua Jackson and Katie Holmes from Dawson's Creek dated for real life and remained friends even after breakup. Josh said that Katie was his closest friend on set (Pacey and Joey), Jaleel White and Kellie Shanygne Williams from Family Matters were friends onset and Kellie recently said how she had a crush on Jaleel. They recently were reunited in an interview and their chemistry is still fire (Steve and Laura), Tom Welling and Erica Durance from Smallville were great friends. I love to hear Tom talk about Erica because there's clearly so much respect and love between them. They really loved to work with each other (Clark and Lois), Kennedy McMann and Alex Saxon from Nancy Drew are great friends. I don't know much else about their relationship. I just know that Kennedy has said they are close friends and also Kennedy is a big supporter of the Nace ship. I've also heard of little improvs and story ideas that they came up with for Nace so they clearly are very simpatico (Nancy and Ace), Erin Moran and Scott Baio from Happy Days dated on and off through the years (Chachi and Joanie), Rachel Brosnahan and Luke Kirby from The Marvelous Mrs Maisel are amazing friends. And this is another situation of two actors who really support each other and have a huge amount of respect for each other (Midge and Lenny) what all these couples have in common is that they are friends and/or romantically involved. One or both of the actors in each ship are major supporters or shippers of their characters together, they all have had amazing chemistry all through the years even after the shows ended, they all respect each other as actors and each other's talents, they all have fire chemistry that remained strong through the entire run of the shows, and insane physicality where they are so comfortable with each other and and great at adding little physical intimacies to their fictional relationships.
Some chemistry you can sort of manufacture. You can create the long looks, the stolen glances, the yearning, the jealousy. But then there's the upper echelon of TV couples that just have it all. They have all these things but the chemistry endures past the yearning stage 💖
Then there are some couples who maybe weren't overly close. They either hated each other or just got along but weren't super close and those couples mostly have that manufactured chemistry and I'm not saying that it doesn't take talent to do that. It takes acting talent and some of it is genuine. Also this chemistry is not bad. I love the long looks and the stolen glances but these types of couples need long ass slowburns because some of that naturally goes away when they get together like the yearning and stolen glances for instance. They don't have those crutches to fall back on and all they have is that little bit of genuine chemistry. I do wanna clarify that I have always hated when writers make couples on and off unnecessarily. Give them the slowburn but keep them together once they get together you cowards lol
There are other couples with insane chemistry who are close for real life but I had to end this post sometime but they exist and those are special ships to be sure! 💗

Lee Moran at HuffPost:
Former President Donald Trump declared he is “the opposite of a Nazi” and received a stark reminder on social media of how he was once referred to by his own running mate, JD Vance. “I’m not a Nazi. I’m the opposite of a Nazi,” Trump claimed at a rally in Atlanta, Georgia, on Monday, amid making baseless claims that Democratic rival Kamala Harris is calling him and anyone who votes for him “Nazis.” Trump also said his late father, Fred Trump, would tell him never to say the word Nazi or refer to the Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler. [...] Critics, however, pointed out how now-GOP vice presidential candidate Vance warned in 2016 that Trump, whose authoritarian rhetoric has escalated in recent weeks, could one day become “America’s Hitler.” “I go back and forth between thinking Trump is a cynical asshole like Nixon who wouldn’t be that bad (and might even prove useful) or that he’s America’s Hitler,” Vance wrote at the time in a private message to a former Yale Law School roommate, the now-Democratic Georgia state Sen. Josh McLaurin.
Donald Trump discarded the advice his late father gave him by saying that he is the “opposite of a Nazi.”
Sorry to break it to you, Mr. Trump, but you are a dangerous Nazi unfit for leading our nation again.

U.S. users email your representatives this, and make sure to include your zip code:
I am your constituent. I am strongly in favor of defunding Israel. I want my opinion logged on every single one of these pieces of legislation. It is an atrocity that the USA is sending our taxpayer dollars, weaponry, and other support to Israel in order to aid in the genocide of the Palestinian people. It does not reflect the will of your constituents, and I demand that you correct this by voting for/against the following bills, resolutions, and legislation.
To be frank, I will be basing my vote for you in upcoming elections on this issue. I will be watching closely to see how you vote on issues regarding funding to Israel. I will not vote for you in the next election if you vote to send any money, support, or weaponry to Israel. I will be voting for you if you vote to block money, support, and weaponry to Israel.
This is the current legislation I am for, and the current legislation I am against. I would like your office to record my opinion for each bill, and I would like you to take this into consideration when you vote.
I am FOR the following, and expect you to vote for this and co-sponsor, either now or when matching legislation reaches your office.
H.Res. 786: by Rep. Cori Bush
H.Res. 388 by Rep. Rashida Tlaib
H.R. 3103 by Rep. Betty McCollum
I am against Joe Biden’s proposal to spend billions of dollars on Israel via a package for Israel, Ukraine, Taiwan, and the US border. Biden is asking for $100 BILLION for this package and it is only 1 YEAR'S worth of funding. This is ABSOLUTELY unacceptable, and I am against you voting for ANY bill that spends even $1 on Israel. I do not care what else is in the bill. If it gives money to Israel, I am against it.
I am AGAINST the following, and expect you to vote against this and not co-sponsor, either now or when matching legislation reaches your office.

I am against any legislation that allows troops to deploy to the Middle East in support roles for Israel, as proposed by Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin.
I am against Netanyahu’s ground invasion of Gaza, which will inevitably lead to mass killings of Palestinian civilians and escalate violence. If there are any future bills supporting this, you need to vote against them and not co-sponsor.
The U.S. Constitution and the War Powers Act stipulate that only Congress can authorize the president to use military force in a foreign war, except in cases of self-defense. Previous administrations from both parties have ignored this, with unauthorized strikes in places like Syria and Libya. I want you to stand against ANY use of military force that supports Israel or hurts Palestine.
And of course, I am against the usual funding of $3.8 billion PER YEAR to Israel. This 10-year agreement began in 2016. I do not want a renewal in 2026, and in the next election, I will vote for representatives who WILL NOT VOTE TO FUND ISRAEL. I will be keeping track of how you vote now, and I will not vote for you if you decide to fund Israel in any way.
I am a single-issue voter for this. I want you to defund Israel. I do not want a single dollar spent on supporting Israel. I will be paying attention to how you vote in the upcoming weeks and months, and if you vote to fund or provide weapons, troops, or intelligence to Israel, I will NOT vote for you in the next election.
We are paying attention to the budget. We know when you're giving aid to a country committing genocide instead of helping your constituents in the USA. Both myself and tens of thousands of other constituents have spent years saying that we don’t want our hard-earned taxpayer dollars going to Israel. The lack of willingness to fund anything for American citizens, but the quickness with which you take action for Israel is telling. It is unacceptable.
As an elected official, you have the opportunity to listen to the public and stand against genocide. Israel is currently committing war crimes against Palestine. You can stop this by defunding Israel. THOUSANDS of Palestinian people have been killed, 1/3 of them children, in just a couple of days. One child every 15 minutes is being killed. YOU can prevent this by refusing to send additional weapons and funding to Israel.
We are currently spending BILLIONS of dollars EVERY YEAR on Israel. I do not want my money going towards the ethnic cleansing and genocide of Palestinians. Not a dollar more.

Transformers: Mosaic - Fragments
wada sez: Where are you going? Get back here. I have more one-page Transformers fancomics to show you.
Longtime followers of the archive may remember that I’ve occasionally thrown in extra strips clearly intended for Mosaic in some form, but never published as such for whatever reason. Well, I’ve scoured the deviantART galleries of every single one of the literally-hundreds of creatives for any evidence of unfinished or unpublished Mosaic strips. I have scrolled past so many fetish posts to dig up teases in old comments, scripts that were never illustrated, preview panels from strips that were never finished or shared, and even one or two full strips which were literally completed, just never posted for some arcane reason. And I've even gone out of my way to track down certain contributors to ask them to raid their old hard drives and dredge up never-before-seen material. I do all this… because I love you.
Here's how this is going to work. Over the next week, I'm going to be sharing collections of unrealised scripts by various prolific Mosaic contributors. These never had finished artwork made for them. After that, I've got one last batch of strips which are in a readable state!
Firstly, though, in this post, I'm going to walk us through all the strips I know existed, but which never saw the light of day as anything beyond unfinished artwork. Much of the information I have on these comes from this forum post made by Josh van Reyk on Seibertron, on September 11, 2007. In it, he lists the names, stars, and creative teams of a whopping 100 strips which were in various stages of production at the time. Of these, over a quarter were never released! Most of the other evidence I have comes from previews shared on the main Mosaic gallery, for which the final comics never materialised. Finally, in some cases, I've grabbed stuff from individual galleries.
We'll probably never know what most of these stories would have been like. Most of them would have been pretty bad, if we're being honest with ourselves. In at least some cases, I imagine the very reason we never saw them was just that the creators decided they were bad.
Still, the main lesson I've hoped to impart with this archive is that no comic springs into existence fully-formed. Each stage of the creative process has its own unique challenges. Everyone has to start somewhere.
"Death And Its Related Conditions" (Ratchet) by Daniel Worsley w/ Garland Renn "City Life" (Fortress Maximus) by Daniel Worsley w/ Lad "A Pair Alone" (Powerglide & Weirdwolf) by Daniel Worsley w/ Matt C. Adams [2007-08-10 Powerglide & Weirdwolf, 2008-01-31]
"Terror / Hope" ("Serenitatus Prime") by Daniel Worsley w/ Grim Squeaker [2007-07-29]
wada sez: Hold on, is that an OC?! No, per a comment by Worsley, this is actually an imagined version of Beachcomber as a Prime! He turns into a fire engine.
"Nights Like This" (Jazz & Bumblebee) by Luke Barnett w/ transformersgirl "A Day In The Life Of Rattrap" by Matthew Simon Hessey w/ Dead Metal [2007-09-02]
"A Day In The Life Of Waspinator" by Matthew Simon Hessey w/ Dead Metal Untitled Megatron/Optimus comic w/ art by Dead Metal & Alex Smith [2007-09-19, 2007-09-26, 2007-11-09, 2007-11-10]
"Ambition" (Starscream) by Josh van Reyk w/ Mike Moran "The Next Step" (Barricade & Starscream) by Josh van Reyk w/ Rick van den Akker [2007-08-07]
"Great Responsibility" (Mindwipe) by Josh van Reyk w/ Evan Gauntt "Newbie" (Scoop) by Josh van Reyk w/ Matt McQuillan "Reserver" (Hardhead) by Josh van Reyk w/ Grim Squeaker "Silence" (Ratbat) by Josh van Reyk w/ David Eveleigh "Savage Hunt" (Ravage) by Eamonn Prime w/ David Eveleigh "No Hiding" (Ironhide) by Martin Fisher w/ Gareth Watson
wada sez: I'm not actually 100% sure this would've been Gareth Watson in the end; it was solicited as the same artist (under an alias) as "What A Wonderful World", but it's technically possible that latter strip had this artist drop out and be replaced by Gareth Watson—if that at all makes sense, I'm going insane here.
"Huffing & Puffing" (Huffer) by Martin Fisher w/ Mike Ackerman & Rafael Yáñez [2009-02-25]
wada sez: This one was actually fully inked and colored! In a video by Ackerman, he flips through a portfolio and there it is. Alas, I was unable to reach either Fisher or Ackerman to obtain the script and art, so this is all we've got! Obviously this is one of the missing entries in Fisher's many, many Minibots-centric strips.
Untitled Mixmaster comic by Martin Fisher w/ Josh Burcham [2014-12-05]
wada sez: All I have to go off here is Burcham's own recollection, so maybe it wasn't Fisher.
"Wait! We're Facing Who?" (Blast Off & Quake) by Jason Armstrong w/ Mike Stone [2007-07-29/2007-07-30, 2007-10-02/2007-10-03]
"Disguise" (Mirage) by Snakepliskon-Obot "Primal Instinct" (Optimus Prime) by John-Paul Bove w/ Jamie Snell "Tough Love" (Ratchet) by Lindsay Smith w/ David Nery "Potential" (Bumper) by Daniel Bartlett w/ David Nery "Cockasnoop" (Bumblebee) by Jon Stone w/ Choryugin "Life Lessons" (Kup) by Shane Anderson w/ O-O-P "Houseguests" (IDW humans) by Ezekiel Huerta w/ Kris Smith "Perseverance" (movieverse Bonecrusher) by Ezekiel Huerta w/ Rick van den Akker [2007-09-28]
"Let's Make A Deal" (Swindle) by Wade 2501 w/ David Nery
wada sez: That's everything from van Reyk's forum post, so from this point on we typically don't have information on who was writing these strips.
"Hope" (Grapple) by James O'Callaghan w/ Christi Walls [2007-09-29, 2007-10-22, 2007-12-03, 2008-01-02]
wada sez: This was one I really wanted to try and chase up, but I wasn't able to reach Walls in the end. From comments and journal posts made at the time, it seems that Walls was going through a fairly hectic stage in life, with this comic becoming something of an albatross. At one point, she expressed that she'd started to re-draw the whole thing from scratch, but nothing ever came of it. Without the full original script, we'll never know what it is Optimus Prime says to Grapple to cheer him up...
"Get Wrecked" (Springer & Prowl) w/ art by Garland Renn [2007-10-29]
wada sez: This one's definitely an IDW strip, presumably tying into Spotlight: Kup.
"Fire In The Spark" (Skyfire) w/ art by Hamza Pecenkovic [2007-12-03]
"How Appropriate" (Triggerhappy & Misfire) w/ art by Gauge0001 & Frank O'Rourke [2007-12-19]
"Resolve" (Mirage) w/ art by Andrew Griffith [2007-12-19]
"The Choice" (Optimus Prime) by Mari Peres w/ Michelle Haley & Joana Lafuente [2008-02-10]
"Gladiator's Lament" (Cy-Kill & Clench) w/ art by Cory Holmes [2008-03-16]
wada sez: Obviously another Megatron Origin tie-in. People loved that comic, huh.
"You Can Deal With It" w/ art by SealSlammer [2008-03-17]
wada sez: The title of this one is a reference to an iconic line from Ultra Magnus in The Transformers: The Movie: "I can't deal with that now!"
Untitled Powerdasher comic by Shaun Flaherty w/ Pietre A. Valbuena [2010-04-07]
wada sez: I've got a few scripts from Shaun Flaherty, but not for this one! Apparently it would've featured the drill-type Powerdasher (later given the canonical name Zetar), but the only art we've got for it is of Jazz instead. Anyway, that's all for now—check back tomorrow for the first of our creator spotlights!

Here's a fairly solid amount of all the different kinds of media that I think both can fit well in and could share the same universe as one of the greatest TV shows of all time, David Chase's The Sopranos, which you can both read and see below for yourself:
• Tom Fontana's Oz (HBO)
• David Simon's The Wire
• Vince Gilligan's Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul & El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie
• Kurt Sutter's Sons Of Anarchy & Mayans MC
• Todd McFarlane's Spawn (HBO) Trilogy
• Chris Carter's The X Files (first nine seasons), The X Files: Fight The Future, Millennium & The Lone Gunmen
• Joss Whedon's Buffy The Vampire Slayer & Angel
• Christopher McCulloch & Doc Hammer's The Venture Bros. & The Venture Bros.: Radiant Is The Blood Of The Baboon Heart
• Remedy Entertainment's Connected Universe (Max Payne Trilogy, Alan Wake Duology, Alan Wake's American Nightmare & Control)
• Quentin Tarantino's Tarantinoverse (Reservoir Dogs, True Romance, Natural Born Killers, Pulp Fiction, From Dusk Till Dawn, Curdled, Jackie Brown, Kill Bill Duology, Inglourious Basterds, Django Unchained, The Hateful Eight & Once Upon A Time In Hollywood)
• Larry David & Jerry Seinfeld's Seinfeld
• Christopher Keyser & Amy Lippman's Party Of Five
• Winnie Holzman's My So-Called Life
• Linwood Boomer's Malcolm In The Middle
• Mitchell Hurwitz's Arrested Development (first three seasons)
• Dan Schneider's Drake & Josh, Drake & Josh Go Hollywood & Merry Christmas, Drake & Josh
• John Cleese & Connie Booth's Fawlty Towers
• Dylan Moran & Graham Linehan's Black Books
• Rob McElhenney's It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia
• John Carpenter's Big Trouble In Little China
• Bryan Fuller's Pushing Daisies & Hannibal (NBC)
• Damon Lindelof & Carlton Cuse's LOST
• Jeff Pinkner & J.H. Wyman's Fringe
• Greg Daniels' The Office (U.S.)
and last but not least,
• Michael Schur's Parks and Recreation
The universe does what The Sopranos did (and did so wonderfully) and that's both balance and explore different tones, styles and aesthetics.
Each media shows the various different sides to this world that's similar to ours but is much more larger than life.
Plus, in case anyone's wondering, Pawnee is seen as a joke by the rest of the world which yeah it is.

Moran, U.S. Sen. Josh Hawley of Missouri, and a group of other Republicans sent a letter to the president that argued the platform presented a threat to the United States, in part, because TikTok had significant appeal among American youth. “We therefore urge you to delete your account and set a better example for the American people by restating that TikTok is a national security threat,” the letter to the president said.
Oh, wow. This is big news. I'm really trying to keep everything straight now.
So, a social media app is a national security threat. Got it.
But continuously attempting to impeach the President based on lies planted by a foreign asset is just business as usual? Mmhmm.

Do you think Section 230 is pretty much going to be passed? I've been thinking about leaving the internet completely over this.
...Well, like many things, the answer is "It's Complicated,"
Firstly, for the most part, efforts to screw up Section 230 aren't direct repealing all of it so much as carve-outs that majorly weaken it, in ways that could still deeply screw up free speech.
The recent Kids Online Safety Act/EARN IT Act is being pushed for, and while it's not in committee, given the former was sent to the Commerce Committee last time and the latter to the Judiciary Committee, they're probably gonna send it next time, and you're probably going to want to call your senators if they're in said committee to tell them to kill those bills.
The membership of the Commerce Committee:
Maria Cantwell, Washington, Chair
Amy Klobuchar, Minnesota
Brian Schatz, Hawaii
Ed Markey, Massachusetts
Gary Peters, Michigan
Tammy Baldwin, Wisconsin
Tammy Duckworth, Illinois
Jon Tester, Montana
Kyrsten Sinema, Arizona[a]
Jacky Rosen, Nevada
Ben Ray Luján, New Mexico
John Hickenlooper, Colorado
Raphael Warnock, Georgia
Peter Welch, Vermont
Ted Cruz, Texas, Ranking Member
John Thune, South Dakota
Roger Wicker, Mississippi
Deb Fischer, Nebraska
Jerry Moran, Kansas
Dan Sullivan, Alaska
Marsha Blackburn, Tennessee
Todd Young, Indiana
Ted Budd, North Carolina
Eric Schmitt, Missouri
J.D. Vance, Ohio
Shelley Moore Capito, West Virginia
Cynthia Lummis, Wyoming
The membership of the Judiciary Committee:
Dick Durbin, Illinois, Chairman
Dianne Feinstein, California
Sheldon Whitehouse, Rhode Island
Amy Klobuchar, Minnesota
Chris Coons, Delaware
Richard Blumenthal, Connecticut
Mazie Hirono, Hawaii
Cory Booker, New Jersey
Alex Padilla, California
Jon Ossoff, Georgia
Peter Welch, Vermont
Lindsey Graham, South Carolina, Ranking Member
Chuck Grassley, Iowa
John Cornyn, Texas
Mike Lee, Utah
Ted Cruz, Texas
Josh Hawley, Missouri
Tom Cotton, Arkansas
John Kennedy, Louisiana
Thom Tillis, North Carolina
Marsha Blackburn, Tennessee
So yeah.
I may as well add, If you've got the misfortune to be calling a Republican, be sure to bring up how KOSA will be used as a way for Big Government to spy on people via mandated age verification, and how EARN IT will be used to censor conservative speech.
That'll get the bastards attention. And no matter what you do, don't shut up about it, because silence means the fuckers win, just look at FOSTA/SESTA...
...Tho, in better news, the questioning in those Supreme Court suits tackling Section 230 seem to show that the justices are at least reluctant to try and do much to 230, very specifically because of how much it could fuck up.
Which begs the question, if even these fucking demons know why fucking with Section 230 is a godawful idea, what excuse do these senators have?
Point is, the efforts to undermine it aren't all at once so much as gradual and insidious. Call your senators folks, and stay vigilant.

Electric Love
Written By: Dark Waves, Tommy English, Josh Moran & BØRNS
Artist: BØRNS
Released: 2014
After one year in Los Angeles, West Michigan native Børns landed a record deal with Interscope, and the album Candy was released to much critical acclaim. “Electric Love” followed up the single “10,000 Emerald Pools.” The floaty, guitar-driven instrumental and melodically mature melody offsets the double entendre of the lover as heroin theme. The song was eventually certified Platinum by the RIAA on Feb. 26, 2017.
[Verse 1] Candy, she's sweet like candy in my veins Baby, I'm dying for another taste [Pre-Chorus] And every night my mind is running around her Thunder's getting louder and louder [Chorus] Baby, you're like lightning in a bottle I can't let you go now that I got it And all I need is to be struck By your electric love (Ohh) Baby, your electric love (Ahh) Electric love [Verse 2] Drown me (Drown me), you make my heart beat like the rain Surround me, hold me deep beneath your waves (Oh) [Pre-Chorus] And every night my mind is running around her Thunder's getting louder and louder and louder [Chorus] Baby, you're like lightning in a bottle I can't let you go now that I got it And all I need is to be struck By your electric love (Ohh) Baby, your electric love (Ahh) Electric love [Bridge] (Ohh) Rushing through me Feel your energy rushing through me I feel your energy rushing through me [Chorus] Baby, you're like lightning in a bottle I can't let you go now that I got it And all I need is to be struck by your electric love (Ohh) Baby, your electric love (Ahh) Baby, you're electric

Mary on a Cross
Written By: Vincent Pontare, Salem Al Fakir & Tobias Forge
Artist: Ghost
Released: 2019
“Mary on a Cross” is the second song on Ghost’s “re-release” EP from the late ‘60s, Seven Inches of Satanic Panic. The track, just like “Kiss the Go-Goat,” is sung by Papa Nihil and it talks about the love relationship with Sister Imperator. The whole song can be interpreted as an ode to experimenting with either drugs or sex.
[Verse 1] We were speeding together down the dark avenues But besides all the stardom, all we got was blues But through all the sorrow, we've been riding high And the truth of the matter is I never let you go, let you go We were scanning the cities, rocking to pay their dues But besides all the glamour, all we got was bruised But through all the sorrow, we've been riding high And the truth of the matter is I never let you go, let you go [Chorus] You go down just like Holy Mary, Mary on a, Mary on a cross Not just another bloody Mary, Mary on a, Mary on a cross If you choose to run away with me, I will tickle you internally And I see nothing wrong with that [Verse 2] We were searching for reasons to play by the rules But we quickly found out it was just for fools Now through all the sorrow, we'll be riding high And the truth of the matter is I never let you go, let you go [Pre-Chorus] You go down just like Holy Mary, Mary on a, Mary on a cross Not just another bloody Mary, Mary on a, Mary on a… [Chorus] You go down just like Holy Mary, Mary on a, Mary on a cross Your beauty never ever scared me, Mary on a, Mary on a cross If you choose to run away with me, I will tickle you internally And I see nothing wrong with that [Outro] (Mary on a, Mary on a cross) Nothing wrong with that (Mary on a, Mary on a cross) Nothing wrong with that (Mary on a, Mary on a cross) (Mary on a) Mary on a cross

Meshell Ndegeocello Shares Virgo & Announces New Album
Meshell Ndegeocello shares the spacey "Virgo" featuring Brandee Younger and Julius Rodriguez. The song is from her first album for Blue Note The Omnichord Real Book. The R&B legend's last album was her 2018 covers album Ventriloquism. She was featured on Robert Glasper's Grammy-winning "Better Than I Imagined" with H.E.R. in 2020. She explained the new album's title in a statement:
“This album is about the way we see old things in new ways. Everything moved so quickly when my parents died. Changed my view of everything and myself in the blink of an eye. As I sifted through the remains of their life together, I found my first Real Book, the one my father gave me. I took their records, the ones I grew up hearing, learning, remembering. My mother gifted me with her ache, I carry the melancholy that defined her experience and, in turn, my experience of this thing called life calls me to disappear into my imagination and to hear the music.”
Josh Johnson produced The Omnichord Real Book which has guest appearances from Jason Moran, Joan As Police Woman, Ambrose Akinmusire, Joel Ross, Thandiswa, Mark Guiliana and more. The new album comes out June 16th but can be pre-ordered now.
