2 pieces of layered cake with caramel and fresh berries
Sweet dessert - J. Woll
v' bakery pairing: Joseph Woll x fem!reader summary: None of the guys were interested in you in the past but this changed when you met Joseph warning: none note: i was listening "Guys My Age" by Hey Violet and got inspired haha
When you were younger, you always thought you're gonna be forever single. In high school, guys were running after your friends but none of them was interested in you. For a long time, you believed that the problem was with you. That you’re not attractive enough and doesn’t have a bright personality. That’s why you accepted the faith and decided to focus on yourself.
In college, you were attempting plenty of parties but again, no one was into you. It hurt you but you didn’t want to show it that it bothers you. You focused on studying hard to finish with the best grades and get a dream job. All your perception changed in summer when you went to a party with your childhood friends.
At that party, you’ve met Joseph. When he spotted you, his eyes couldn’t leave you. He could have sworn that you’re the prettiest woman in this room and desperately wanted to know you better. You were standing in the kitchen, preparing yourself a drink and that was his chance. He came and said hello and this is how it started.
You two got along with each other and spent every free minute together. Almost every day, Joseph was taking you out to do different activities. It was an incredible experience for you. For the first time you felt wanted and loved. No one ever gave you so much attention like he did. Although because of your part, deep down you couldn’t believe that he’s real. You thought that he was just messing with you.
You didn’t say a word to Joseph about your worries. You wanted to enjoy his interest in you as much as you could. With time you started wondering if this is working up between you two because of your age difference. You were just 22 years old when he was 26 years old. It wasn't a huge age gap but still it was. Guys your age have never been into you but older guy is obsessed with you.
After a month of seeing each other, you wanted to know if you two can work as a couple. This whole month you two already acted like one and you developed feelings for Joseph. The past taught you to be brave and confident. That's why when you found the bravery to ask him this question, you did.
Joseph took you out for dinner. You two had an amazing time, laughing at every story that you or him shared. It was healing for you but you knew that this might change today. As much as you wanted to act unbothered, you couldn’t hide your feelings any longer.
“Do you think we can work as a couple?” You asked him when you two were waiting for a dessert.
“Of course. Why are you asking?” Joseph was concerned. All the time he thought he’s showing you that he wants you as his girlfriend.
“I’ve never been in a relationship and no one ever showed me as much interest as you. That’s why I wanted to know your intentions because you’re just messing with me, we can end this here and move on” You shrugged. Joseph grabbed your hand.
“I would never do such a thing. Look, I really like you and I want you to know that I take this relationship seriously. I didn’t address my feelings with you because I wanted to give us a time to figure it out and see where things will lead us but trust me, I want you as my girlfriend” You could tell that Joseph is telling the truth and it made your heart beat faster.
“Prove it. Prove it that you want this as much as I want” You whispered to him, scared that saying this louder might break what you two builded.
Joseph didn’t say a word. Only leant closed to you and kissed you. His lips were perfectly matching yours. It was a slow but full of love kiss. None of you wanted to break the moment, until the waitress came with your desserts. You two pulled out from each other and smiled.
“Was it enough proof or do we have to do it again?” Joseph said and you giggled.
“I think you should prove it again. You know, just to be sure” You smiled with your red cheeks. Joseph laughed and promised to kiss you every day if that means him proving to you that he takes you seriously.

Relationship List With Joseph Woll
A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)
He is really affectionate, both in words and touch. He has a big habit of randomly hugging and cuddling. If you do something he's impressed with or just finds cute, there is a very good chance that after he praises you, he will follow it up with more physical affection.
B = Beginning (How would the relationship start?)
The most likely way to start a relationship with him would be if you happened to just click really well while talking, maybe while waiting in line to buy something, or while sitting beside each other waiting for something. If there is that sort of 'click' with him when you two chat, then he is likely to keep trying to spend more time with you, either by asking to spend more time together, or by suggesting it be more like a date.
C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)
He LOVES cuddles. Like, if you ever just want a cuddle out of the blue, there is a very good chance he will be up for cuddles at any given time. He likes any cuddle where you can just be close with each other, but he is a bit of a fan of being the big spoon when cuddling since it lets him both be close with you, hold you against his chest, and be able to give you some affection.
D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)
He would definitely be a domestic type if he was in a relationship. He isn't the best at keeping things spotless, and he isn't the biggest fan of housework, but he definitely wants to settle down with someone. He's also a fan of things like going grocery shopping together, but he isn't the best at cooking. He would probably not be opposed to learning, but since he has a bit of a tendency to get distracted, it could make it difficult.
E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)
Since he is a bit of a people pleaser, he would try to do it in a way to try to upset you as little as possible while still making the breakup as simple and to the point as possible. But, since he really doesn't enjoy upsetting people, he would probably try to give you as much of an explanation as possible and be as open as possible about why he is breaking up with you, even if he would much rather it never come to that.
F = Fiancé(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)
He really wants a committed relationship with someone, so he is fully supportive of the idea of marriage. If he ever found the right person who feels like someone he knows and can trust, he would likely be fully ready to marry you after dating for a year or two, but he would probably want to spend a good amount of time living together with that person first before marrying them, just to make sure you are fully compatible.
G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)
He is definitely a really gentle person. He's not only physically gentle, but also really verbally gentle with people. Unless something really pisses him off, he usually tries to be really careful about every word he says. That being said, in relationships, he tends to be a bit more firm about things, mostly to ensure mutual understanding because of how important that is to him.
H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)
He definitely loves hugs, and if it is coming from you, there is a very good chance he will give a number of very enthusiastic hugs throughout the day. His hugs are always very tight, making sure the two of you are nice and close against each other, especially with you.
I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)
He takes the words "I love you" pretty seriously, and is pretty unlikely to say it to just anyone. Once he feels that you two have both gotten to really know each other, and that you've formed that mutual bond and deep trust in each other, he will usually be the first to say it so he can ensure that you know exactly how he feels about you.
J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)
Since he's not a very possessive person, he isn't the most jealous type. But, if he feels strongly enough about you, the likelihood of him becoming somewhat jealous does go way up. Jealousy for him is usually just a bit of a sinking feeling in gut because of insecurity combined with him being a bit more clingy with you than he normally would, and asking a few questions that may be fishing for reassurance or answers to any questions he has.
K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)
His kisses are usually firm and passionate, he's really the type to pull you close against him while he kisses you. He doesn't really care where he kisses you, as long as you enjoy it, but he does have a particular weakness for your neck. He also has a bit of a 'weakness' for having his neck kissed or nipped at, and that can get him in the mood really quickly.
L = Little ones (How are they around children?)
He would be pretty good with children. He's patient, has a lot of fun messing with them and making them laugh, and is really good at handling when children are very emotionally upset/crying, and is really great at keeping calm to make them feel better. He would also be the type to not feel too out of his element with younger kids, but he'd probably be a little more out of his element with very young infants or toddlers who are very dependent on needing more help.
M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)
With him, mornings are probably pretty slow. He has a bit of a habit of getting up early, and he is a bit of a coffee and breakfast person, so he usually will get up first, get a pot of coffee going, then make two cups of coffee and start breakfast before coming back to get you up. Mornings are usually fairly quiet, and while he will be up first, he'll usually be more than willing to laze about in bed with you.
N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)
Nights with him are generally a lot of fun. He's the type who likes to watch movies at night, and as someone with a sweet tooth, nights are also the time where he will give into his sweet cravings. Nights with him will also often be a great time for cuddling and physical affection, especially as it gets late. As for going to sleep, he will probably be the big spoon on nights that you're sleeping in the same bed.
O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)
He will probably start opening up with you a bit when you first start to get comfortable with each other. He is definitely more of a type who will slowly start revealing things about himself as the relationship moves forward. He tends to be more comfortable with revealing things slowly because he can really focus on one thing or area of himself at a time, and it makes him feel more in control about how much you know about him and how you perceive him at any given time.
P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)
He isn't very easily angered, he is usually the type who will take a lot of abuse or stress before getting genuinely angered. But once he does get really angered, he is capable of being seriously loud and vocal about it. He is also much more patient with people he cares about, he knows that they can mess up and he doesn't have too high of expectations for them, but he does expect a lot from himself, so he can get angry at himself over stupid mistakes or things he views as his own faults.
Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)
He remembers a lot of details about you. The only times he really forgets details will usually be details that either are very surface-level unimportant, or if he is very stressed, as that tends to cause his mind to have a bit of trouble remembering. But outside of that, he tends to be very good at remembering details about you, especially the more important ones.
R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)
His favorite moment in your relationship would probably be the first time you said "I love you" to him. That would have been such a big moment because it not only would have let him know your feelings for him, which were very important to him, but it would have been the first time that someone had said those words to him, as well as the first time that he felt ready to say them back in response.
S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)
He definitely is the sort of protective person who has a bit of a protective side. He also can get a bit possessive at times. The way he's most likely to protect you will be by keeping you physically close to him, and by trying to keep any threat far away from you. He's also the sort who will be very protective if you're sick, and he'll do his best to take care of you when you're sick. As for protection, he would likely enjoy some reassurance from you periodically.
T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)
He puts in a lot of effort into dates and anniversaries, and even gifts. He can be especially romantic, and will spend a good amount of time and effort on making sure that he is doing something nice for you. He will also put effort into everyday tasks and responsibilities, but he will likely need some reassurance that he isn't slacking on something if he feels he's having an off day.
U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)
He can be a bit of a procrastinator. He will also sometimes get so caught up in something that he will forget to take care of himself, like getting enough sleep, or even neglecting to eat. He also has a terrible sweet tooth that makes him give into cravings easily. He also has a bit of a habit of leaving clothes on the floor.
V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks? Do your looks bother them?)
He does care about his looks, and he certainly wants to make sure that he looks good for you. Since he is a very people-pleasing sort, he is also very self-conscious about something you wouldn't like about his appearance and his habits. So he'll try to look his best for you, but his self-consciousness about it means he'll still really need reassurance that he's attractive to you.
W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)
He doesn't really feel that he is incomplete without you, but he is the type who is much happier around you. He'll be perfectly fine spending time on his own, but he is better having you around, and he will miss you if you're not around. It would be a noticeable difference in his behaviour and emotions when you're not around, but he wouldn't feel incomplete without you, but more like he is more complete with you.
X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)
Since he is a fan of having you close to him so much, he would be the kind who will likely bring you into his lap to cuddle you fairly often. He also can be very prone to kissing your neck. He will also have an almost constant habit of playing with your hair.
Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)
This is something he has to try to be patient with, but he isn't the fondest of being ignored. He doesn't like people who are dishonest. He's not really big on alcohol, so he will not be fond of partners who are big on drinking. And he has a fairly sensitive sense of smell, so smells like tobacco and/or marijuana are a turn-off for him.
Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habit of theirs? Does it change around a partner?)
He's the type of person who usually falls asleep fairly quickly, and he can fall asleep in pretty much any position. He is the type of person who will change how he sleeps when sleeping with a partner, going from sleeping on his back or his side to being a dedicated side sleeper and using you as a pillow while sleeping.

Fireplace Heat - Joseph Woll
After a snowy night game, the hockey player invites OC back to his place to warm up by the fire. As they share hot cocoa and cosy blankets, the heat from the fireplace isn’t the only thing keeping them warm.
Tropes & warnings: 18+ smut, Joseph Woll x reader, friends to lovers, fingering, build up to protected sexual intercourse
Word count: 2.6K
The snow outside had no mercy tonight. It had piled up on the roads, coated the city in white, and slowed the world to a crawl. But none of that mattered when you were in the middle of a packed arena, cheering for Joseph and the Leafs as they battled through the storm both on and off the ice.
By the time the final buzzer rang, victory secured, the adrenaline in your veins was the only thing keeping you warm. That, and the sight of Joseph waving at you from the ice, his grin enough to melt any lingering frost.
_
“You sure you don’t want me to drive you home?” Joseph asked, his breath visible in the icy air as you waited outside the arena.
You glanced at the snowflakes swirling in the wind and then back at him, bundled in his coat and beanie. “I think I’d rather freeze than make you drive in this,” you teased.
He chuckled, his head shaking slightly. “I’ve got an idea.” His blue eyes sparkled mischievously. “How about you come back to my place? It’s closer, and I’ve got a fireplace. And hot cocoa.”
You arched an eyebrow. “Tempting me with chocolate? Bold move, Woll.”
His grin widened. “Is it working?”
_
Joseph’s place was warm, inviting, and smelled faintly of pine and cinnamon. A modest Christmas tree stood in the corner, twinkling with white lights, and the fireplace crackled softly, bathing the room in a golden glow.
“You weren’t kidding about the fireplace,” you said, shrugging off your coat. “This is nice.”
“I told you, I’m a man of my word,” he replied, his voice laced with a playful tone. He disappeared into the kitchen and returned with two steaming mugs of hot cocoa, complete with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cocoa powder.
“Fancy,” you teased, accepting the mug.
He plopped down beside you on the couch, draping a plush blanket over both of you. “Only the best for you.”
The two of you sat in a comfortable silence for a while, sipping your drinks and watching the flames dance. Outside, the wind howled, but it felt a world away in here.
As you lowered your mug, Joseph’s gaze lingered on your lips. “You, uh… you’ve got a little something,” he said, gesturing toward his own mouth.
“What?” You touched your lips self-consciously, missing the spot entirely.
“Here, let me,” he said, leaning in. His thumb brushed the corner of your mouth, wiping away a dollop of whipped cream. But instead of pulling back right away, he hesitated, his hand still lingering on your face.
You froze, your breath catching as his eyes met yours, the flickering firelight reflecting in his soft blue gaze.
“You’re really beautiful, even with whipped cream on your lip,” he murmured, his voice low and teasing, though there was something else beneath it—something deeper.
You swallowed hard, your cheeks warming under his intense gaze. “Thanks.. for the rescue,” you managed, your voice barely above a whisper.
“Anytime,” he replied, his thumb brushing your cheek lightly before he finally lowered his hand.
In that moment, the air between you shifted slightly, crackling with more than just the fire’s heat.
“You know,” Joseph said softly a few seconds later, his voice breaking the quiet. “I think this is my favourite way to end a game day.”
“Winning and then hosting a freezing guest on your couch?” you joked, nudging him gently.
He smiled, his gaze flickering from the fire to you. “No. Sharing moments like this. With you.”
You felt your cheeks heat again, and it wasn’t from the fire. “Careful, Woll. That almost sounded romantic.”
He gently leaned in slightly, his expression more serious now. “What if I meant it to be?”
Your breath hitched as the tension from earlier built again.
“Joe…” you whispered, unsure of what to say.
“Tell me if I’m reading this wrong,” he murmured, his voice low and his eyes a mix of hope and nervousness.
But you didn’t answer with words. Instead, you closed the gap, your lips meeting his in a kiss that started soft but deepened quickly, fuelled by the unspoken tension that had been building between you for weeks. Maybe even months.
And when you finally pulled back, both breathless, he rested his forehead against yours, his hand cradling your cheek. “Definitely my favourite way to end a game day,” he whispered, a grin tugging at his lips.
You laughed softly, leaning into him as the snow continued to fall outside, forgotten in the warmth of the fire—and each other.
Joseph still held his face close to yours, his breath warm and steady, brushing your lips. Neither of you moved right away, the weight of the moment grounding you. The crackling fire behind you seemed louder now, the only other sound besides your slightly ragged breaths.
“Hmm, so,” you hummed looking into his eyes, running your hand over his forearm, “if this is how you treat a guest, I might have to crash here more often.”
Joseph chuckled softly, his hand tracing a gentle line along your jaw. “You don’t need an excuse to be here. You’re always welcome.”
Something in his voice—earnest, raw—made your chest tighten. You hadn’t expected to feel so exposed, so vulnerable, but instead of pulling away, you found yourself leaning closer, both setting your hot chocolates aside.
“You really mean that?”
“I don’t know what it is about you,” he continued, his voice low, almost like he was talking to himself. “But you make everything feel… different. So much better.”
Your breath hitched, and without thinking, you tugged the blanket tighter around both of you, as though shielding yourselves from the outside world. “You’re good at this,” you whispered, your tone teasing but your expression soft. “Making a girl feel like she’s the only one who matters.”
His gaze darkened, the corners of his mouth lifting in a faint smile. “That’s because you are. To me.”
Before you could process his words, his lips were on yours again, slower this time, more deliberate. His hands slid to your waist, pulling you even closer until your legs tangled together under the blanket. The soft fabric of his sweater brushed your fingertips as you clutched at him, your body instinctively seeking more of his warmth.
Joseph shifted, his weight pressing against you as he leaned more into the kiss, deepening it with a quiet, needy sigh. His hand cupped the back of your head, fingers threading into your hair, while the other rested on your hip, steady and reassuring.
Your heart hammered in your chest as the kiss turned from sweet to something more urgent. The heat radiating from the fireplace was nothing compared to the fire between you, the way his touch left a trail of warmth along your skin even through the layers of your clothes.
When you finally broke apart, his forehead found yours again, his breathing uneven. “You okay?” he asked, his voice rougher now, his thumb brushing over your cheekbone.
You nodded, biting your lip to suppress the grin threatening to spread across your face. “I’m better than okay.”
His lips quirked upward. “Good. Because I don’t think I want to stop.”
You let out a soft laugh, your hands sliding up his chest. “Then don’t.”
Joseph’s lips claimed yours again, deeper this time, the kiss carrying a weight of restrained passion that now began to unfurl. His hands, steady but yearning, slipped beneath the hem of your sweater, and the contrast of his cool fingers against your overheated skin made you shiver. Every touch felt intentional, as if he was savouring the moment as much as you were.
“You’re cold,” you whispered, the words trembling from your lips as his mouth moved to your jaw, then down the curve of your neck.
“And you’re warm,” he murmured, his breath fanning across your skin, teasing and tantalising. “Guess we balance each other perfectly.”
His words, low and rough, sent a spark of heat straight through you, your body instinctively arching closer to his. The fire crackled in the background, its flickering light casting his face in golden hues as his kisses deepened, his lips lingering longer on your skin with every press.
Joseph’s hands roamed more freely now, exploring with reverence and a growing confidence. His touch traced your sides, the curve of your waist, his thumbs brushing slow, deliberate circles that left you trembling beneath him. The world outside—the storm, the cold—disappeared entirely. All you could feel was the heat of his body, the pull of his presence, and the overwhelming desire building between you.
When his hands slid back up to the hem of your sweater, he paused, his gaze meeting yours, silently asking for permission. You answered by lifting your arms, and he carefully pulled the fabric away, his fingers lingering on your bare skin as if reluctant to let go. His eyes swept over you, dark with desire but softened by something deeper, something unspoken.
“Tell me to stop if you change your mind,” he whispered, his voice rough with emotion as he leaned in, his lips brushing against yours in a kiss that was sweet and tender. His hands moved with equal care, tracing the lines of your body as though committing every detail to memory.
But you didn’t want him to stop. Your own hands explored him in return, fingers trailing up his chest, feeling the steady rhythm of his heart beneath your touch. And when you tugged at the hem of his shirt, he let you pull it over his head, the lights of the fire illuminating the sharp lines of his torso, the strength beneath his skin. Your breath caught at the sight, your fingers instinctively reaching out to trace the defined muscles, the warmth of him drawing you closer.
Joseph’s kisses deepened again, his tongue exploring yours with a mixture of hunger and devotion. As if compelled by something he couldn’t hold back, his hands slipped to your waist, steadying you. And before you realised his intention, he pulled you gently into his lap. The movement stole your breath, and your knees settled on either side of him, your bodies impossibly close.
His hands anchored you against him, his thumbs brushing the bare skin of your hips as you melted into him. The intimacy of the position heightened everything—the feel of his chest against yours, the heat radiating from his body, the undeniable connection that thrummed between you. You could feel him slowly press against you between your thighs, his hardness making your core clench with need.
Your fingers found their way into his hair, pulling him closer as his lips moved to your neck, trailing heated kisses down the sensitive column of your throat. His hands moved gently, sliding over the curve of your waist and trailing along your ribs before they reached behind you, undoing the clasp of your bra with practiced ease.
As the fabric fell away, his breath hitched, and he took a moment to simply look at you. His gaze, full of awe and intensity, made you feel seen in a way you never had before. Then he leaned down, his lips brushing reverent kisses along your collarbone, the hollow of your throat, and the curve of your shoulder.
He held you there for a moment, savouring the closeness, before his hands shifted, sliding to the small of your back. And with a reverence that made your heart ache, he eased you back onto the sofa. His movements were deliberate, unhurried, as though he wanted to savour every second of having you beneath him.
The firelight still cast golden flickers across his face as he hovered above you, his hands bracketing your hips. His lips found yours again, the kiss a perfect blend of passion and tenderness.
Your fingers tangled in his hair again, tugging gently, and he groaned low in his throat, the sound reverberating through you and igniting something primal deep inside. His hands moved lower, their touch purposeful yet tender, exploring the curve of your hips, tracing the soft lines of your thighs, as though mapping out every inch of your body.
With deliberate care, he began to peel away the fabric of your leggings. His movements were slow, gentle, as if each layer revealed something precious. When you were finally bare beneath him, his gaze swept over you with an intensity that made your chest tighten again. His expression was a mix of awe and desire, his eyes darkened by longing but softened by something even deeper.
Joseph leaned back just enough to shed his own remaining clothes, the lights flickering over his toned, athletic form. His skin was warm and firm under your touch as he returned to you, his body fitting against yours like it had always belonged there.
The heat between you was palpable, the air charged with the unspoken understanding of how much you both craved this moment. But Joseph wasn’t a man to give in to compulsions. He was deliberate, calculated—a mindset honed as the team’s goaltender. He made choices with care, and this was no different.
Hovering above you, he met your gaze, his eyes holding an unspoken question, a silent promise. His touch was gentle as his hand slid lower, his fingers trailing down between your thighs with exquisite slowness. The first brush of his fingers against your sensitive flesh sent a shiver through you, your breath hitching as you surrendered to his careful exploration.
Soft moans escaped your lips as he circled your clit with deliberate tenderness, the rhythm of his movements building gradually, coaxing pleasure from you with every stroke. And when he eased one finger inside you, the sensation was electric yet soothing, a perfect balance of passion and restraint.
“Joe,” you gasped, your voice barely above a whisper as your body relaxed under his touch, yielding to the sensations he created. “Mmm…”
Hearing your voice like that nearly undid him. Joseph had to summon every ounce of control to prioritise your needs first, even as his own body begged for attention. His length throbbed against your thigh, a persistent reminder of his desire, but he stayed focused. Watching your closed eyes and the soft part of your lips as you let out quiet sounds of pleasure was enough to spur him on.
He added a second finger, stretching and filling you with the same care, his movements measured and steady. It wasn’t overwhelming—it was intimate, deliberate, every touch meant to draw you closer to the edge. The golden lights danced across his face, illuminating the way he watched you, completely captivated by the way you responded to him.
Your body arched slightly, hips tilting into his hand, and he let out a low groan of satisfaction, his thumb brushing over your sensitive bundle of nerves in a way that had you gasping again. The connection between you was unlike anything you’d experienced before, a slow burn that felt timeless and all-consuming.
As the tension built and your breaths came faster, he finally withdrew his hand, leaning down to kiss you deeply. His lips were soft but insistent, a promise of what was to come. He paused, his forehead resting against yours, his voice husky as he whispered, “We should probably use… protection.”
Your eyes fluttered open, your cheeks flushed as you nodded. “You have?”
“In the bedroom,” he murmured.
Joseph then pressed a lingering kiss to your lips before pulling away, his movements fluid and quick as he retrieved what you needed. The anticipation buzzed in the air as he returned, his body warm and solid against yours once more.
This moment was yours, unrushed and full of meaning, and you knew—without a doubt—that this was just the beginning of something deeper.

Home Sweet Home / Joseph Woll

Note: i have a love hate relationship with this fanfic. This is also not proof read
Word count: 1.3k
Warnings: Joseph Woll being the cutest dad and some fluff
Pairing: dad!Joseph Woll x fem!reader
Summary: you have always been in love with your husband. You were in love with him from the moment you laid eyes on him and you never thought that would change. That was until you gave birth to your daughter and you saw him with her. In that moment you realize you had never been more in love with him then you were
You had given birth to your daughter Jade 11 months ago and you had never been happier. You didn’t know how to be parents but you were figuring it out together
It was around 7:30pm when you were trying to get Jade to bed. Lucky for you Jade was an amazing sleeper and she went to bed almost as soon as you put her down. Tonight was no different. You sat on the rocking chair in her bedroom and read her a story before bed. While you were reading the story Joe walked in
“Hello Beautiful” he said to you as he walked into Jade’s bedroom
“Hey” you said closing the book to get your daughter to bed
As you get up Joe comes over to grab Jade from your hands
“How is my favourite daughter” he asks you but looks at Jade when he says it
“She's tired. That's for sure” you respond for her
Joe walks over towards Jade's bed and places her down on her back. He was rubbing Jade’s stomach to make her fall asleep. You walk over to say goodnight to her. You give her a kiss on the forehead and then you walk out of her room. You walk downstairs, sit on the couch and turn on the TV so you can watch your show
Joe waits until Jade has fallen asleep before he leaves the room. Once he has left the room he makes his way to your bedroom to grab the baby monitor so you can keep an eye on your daughter while you are downstairs. Once he grabs the monitor he makes his way downstairs but before he can make his way to the living room where his wife is watching Tv he goes into the Kitchen to make a tea for his wife
Once he finishes making his wife a tea he heads into the living room to give it to you and to come and sit on the couch with you.
“Hey, how’d she go down once I left?” you asked him, super tired. Even though it was only 8:00 you could go to bed right now.
“she went down fine” he sat down with a yawn escaping his mouth to show his tiredness
“That's good” once he gets comfortable on the couch you cuddle up with your husband. You were so comfy with your blanket and the comfort of your husband's chest that you wish you could stay like this for the rest of the night.
You lay there together for another hour and then you make your way towards your bed for the night.
The next morning you wake up to the sound of your daughter getting up through the baby monitor. It was 8am which was a little later than she normally got up so you got to sleep in a little bit more than you normally did. Usually whoever got up first would go and get Jade but today she woke the both of you up. You offered to go and get her because Joe had a game tonight and he needed all the energy that he could get to perform well tonight.
You sit yourself up and stretch before you get out of bed to make your way towards your daughter's room. You open the door and see her standing up waiting for someone to get her out of her crib. You walk over to her bed and she reaches her arms out for you to pick her up. You pick her up and give her a big hug and a kiss on the cheek.
“Good morning sweetheart” you say to your daughter staying in your hug for a little longer to let the feeling last
You quickly change her diaper before you make your way downstairs. Once you get downstairs you put Jade down in her play area so you can make your way to the kitchen to make yourself a tea. You sit with Jade in her play area enjoying her company as you sip your tea.
You hear distant footsteps coming from behind you. You immediately turn around to find your husband coming down the stairs with a sleepy look on his face and than you make eye contact with him
He runs his hands over his face hoping that will help him wake up but I didn't do much. He moves his hands from his eyes and looks up to see the love of his life looking at her. He walks over to you and gives you a kiss
“Good morning beautiful” he says to you and if you didn’t know already you could have told that he had just woken up because of the sound of his morning voice
“Good morning. I am going to make some breakfast before you head to the gym. Are you ok to watch Jade while I do that” you ask him knowing that he would have been okay with it
“Of course” he says as he walks over to where Jade is playing and he sits on the floor. You make your way into the kitchen and make a nice filling breakfast for you and your husband to eat while also making some breakfast for Jade. The entire time you are making breakfast you hear the majestic sound of your daughter's laughter coming from the other room. It was the best sound you have ever heard.
You set everything on the kitchen table then make your way to where your family was. When you walked into the room you saw your husband playing with our daughter and some of the things he was doing made her laugh. You stood there for a coupe minutes just enjoying everything that was happening until your daughter started staring at you and your husband looked behind him to see you.
“Breakfast is ready” you tell him and then you make your way back into the kitchen
“We are coming” he says grabbing Jade and bringing her with him
When Joe comes into the kitchen he places Jade in her highchair and you put her food in front of her so she could eat. While she was eating you and Joe also started eating as well. Once you finish Joe gets ready to go to the gym while you and Jade hang around and get stuff done around the house.
It has been a couple of hours and it is now dinner time. You, Joe and Jade all eat dinner before you get in the car and drive to Joe’s game. Once you get there Joe goes to the locker room while you and Jade wait outside where they do the fistbumps. You and jade are both matching as you are both wearing Woll jerseys.
Once Joe comes out of the locker room he finds you and takes off his goalie mask so he can give jade a kiss on the cheek before he makes his way out onto the ice.
It was during warmups when Mitch and Wiliam came over and were trying to make Jade laugh which they were succeeding at. Jade loved all the guys on the team except for Auston. Everytime she sees Auston she cries and turns away. A couple of minutes later once William and Mitch had left Joe comes over and plays peek-a-boo with jade for a little bit before he goes back to warming up.
After the game when you got home Joe changed jade into her pyjamas and he also changed into his pyjamas. you went and took a shower leaving Joe and Jade laying on your bed cuddled together. When you finished your shower you walked out into your bedroom and you see the two of them have fallen asleep on your bed. You change into your pyjamas and get into bed cuddling up to your husband and your daughter. You have never been more in love with your husband for how he treats you and your daughter but you have also never been happier than when you get to be around the little family you have created and you can’t wait to expand it.

He was sunshine, I was
Midnight rain
Chapter 1
Pairings: Joseph Woll x Paige Winters
Warnings: angst, some fluff.
You asked. I answered.
Look for an Arber update this week! Let me know what you think!!
🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
There are very few guarantees in life.
Death, Taxes, and the probability that your going to go through some shit at some point in your life are just a few.
In Paige’s case though, it seemed like she was never not going through shit. She couldn’t think of a time where the worst thing imaginable happened. If there was a sickness going around, she got it times 10. In the winter when the snow melted and froze over again if there was even a small patch of ice she found it and slipped on it. Anything that could go wrong, went wrong in her life. She was cursed.
Not really, but that’s how she felt sometimes.
She tapped a pencil on the pad of paper she was writing on and huffed, eyes moving towards the ceiling, noting the cobwebs that had accumulated in one of the corners.
Toothpaste
Coffee
Dish soap
That’s all she could remember she needed at the store as she glanced around at her near empty apartment and leaned back in her chair, frowning.
Toronto was nice, but it had already been 3 weeks and it still wasn’t feeling like home. If anything the longer she was away from her actual home it felt less like home than it already was. She didn’t have any real complaints, mostly just that Missouri was familiar and comfortable, and Ontario was not. The apartment was filled with boxes stacked two and three high, clothing was folded neatly on surfaces and her couch and loveseat was still covered by plastic. The only thing she’d unpacked besides clothing and toiletries was her bed. Everything else remained boxed and labeled. Once she unpacked those boxes the harsh reality that she wasn’t going home anytime soon would become real. She didn’t hate Canada, but she didn’t love it either.
She’d been putting it off as long as she could, because she was still holding out hope that she’d wake up from this back home in a bed in her dads house and not alone in a foreign empty space.
She dropped the pen and went searching for her coat.
Though it was still new, she’d been out in the city enough to have a general lay of the land. She’d gotten the idea of what was where and how to get there. The first day she’d gotten so flustered and lost she’d pulled over and had a complete breakdown, until someone had knocked on her window and asked if she was okay. They’d showed her on the gps where she went wrong and soon enough she’d found her way back to her apartment. After that she ventured out on foot first, and then after a week driving around was just second nature. It wasn’t anything like back home, but it wasn’t as daunting as it had been a few weeks ago either. She’d even been close enough to a store to travel on foot if she only needed a few things.
Now that she’d faced that, she could face unpacking a few boxes.
She promised herself in the mirror she would unpack the minute she got home. Rip the bandaid right off no matter how bad it hurt.
She pulled her jacket on, and slipped her feet into shoes, hooking a finger through the key rings and she pulled her door shut behind her. The hallways were mostly empty as she made her way to the elevator and inside. She pulled out her phone to answer a message from her dad, who she swore had a 6th sense, and assured him she wasn’t sitting inside her apartment sulking and moved out of the elevator when it landed eyes still on the phone.
Had she been paying attention she would have seen him coming.
She was almost knocked off balance by a large body hitting hers with enough force to make her stumble, but when two large hands shot out to grab her she was able to catch herself.
“Oh my god I’m so-“
I know that voice.
She looked up slowly to find a large pair of familiar blue eyes.
No fucking way.
The stranger, who wasn’t a stranger at all, stared for a second before a large smile stretched across his face.
“Paige?”
That voice warmed her soul in ways she wasn’t sure it could be.
Joseph Woll had been someone once upon a time. There was people who came around and stayed for a short while, and there were people who stayed for a long while.
He was the second kind.
When Paige was 4, her parents divorced. It had been an long ugly process, and she could still remember the way they screamed at one another during the custody hearing. By the time she was almost 5 the divorce had gone through officially. Her dad had gotten weekend visitation so she could stay in school and live at her moms during the week. Her mom had cried and put on a good show, but the truth of the matter was her mom really didn’t want her, she wanted the child support she would receive for having her more than her dad would. It had started out fine, she was still looked after and taken care of. On Friday afternoons her mom would drop her at her dads in the driveway and Sunday afternoons her dad would send her back. Leaving him every Sunday was the worst.
She counted down the days each Monday to Friday afternoons. Weekends at her dads were filled with fun, adventure and afternoons spent with the boy next door.
He’d been her first friend. At school the other kids who came from happy two parent households didn’t have time for the shy girl who didn’t. She kept mostly to herself instead waiting for weekends so she could see Joe instead.
Slowly over time the Friday afternoons started a little earlier and the Sundays got later and later. Before long, rather than being dropped off, her dad was picking her up from school, her mom wasn’t coming for her until dinner. Once her mom met Rob, her new boyfriend, things changed a little faster. He was nice to her but even at 6 Paige could see they didn’t really want her there. And when she was there she was left in the care of a nanny or a babysitter for most of the time. Rob was always taking her mom to dinner, on trips, out shopping, all without Paige. Which made weekends with her dad even more special.
But the most special thing about them was Joe. He’d knock on the door Friday at 4:30 like clockwork and they’d stay out till it was too dark to see anymore, sometimes in his backyard and sometimes in hers. During the winter her dad would take them to the hill at the end of the block and they’d sled down it for hours, till their noses were frozen and their clothing was soaked. As spring and summer came, they’d camp out in the backyard in a tent they found in the Woll’s garage. They’d ride bikes around the block till their legs cramped, and spent the hottest afternoons at the pool before they walked home together stopping for a drink at the store. Shed even went to the beach with the Wolls once, a place she’d never been before. She’d never forget him watch her step into the ocean for the first time. She still had the shells and sand they’d collected sealed in a jar somewhere. Laughter, fun, light were the three words she’d use to describe her memories with him.
When Paige turned 7, her mom dropped her at her dads house, said goodbye and drove away. But on Sunday evening her mom hadn’t returned. Her dad had put her in the car to make the 30 minute drive but when they got there they discovered the house locked, and a for sale sign in the front yard.
Paige felt nothing but relief and went to bed on a Sunday evening with a smile on her face for the first time.
It took a week of speaking with lawyers, and rearranging custody but by the following Monday she was officially moved in and getting ready for her first day of school. She was so nervous standing there in front of the school until she heard her name.
“Paige!”
She turned to find Joe jogging up to her with a big smile “Come on. Come meet my friends.” He grabbed her hand and tugged her along behind him and that was it. Her nerves disappeared, and she made friends in the first 5 minutes. Year by year, grade by grade she made friendships with people, tried new things, stepped out of her comfort zone time and time again. She started her life completely over, and changed from a shy sad little girl, to a girl who could do anything.
And it was all because of him.
She felt tears prick at her eyes as he pulled her in for a tight hug, chin resting on the top of her head. Her eyes slid closed as she hugged him back, smiling at the rumble in his chest when she heard him speak again.
“Where did you come from?” He was still smiling when she pulled back to look at him. He looked exactly the same, right down to the light that always seemed to shine behind his eyes and even when was at her lowest. He had always been a candle in the dark to her, a safe place she could go when she was feeling down or scared.
“I live here now. I just moved three weeks ago.”
“You-what?! You live here. Paige that’s amazing. How are you?”
Paige wiped at the tears under her eyes “Better now.”
Everything she hated about Toronto suddenly didnt seem so bad. Her spirits soared higher than they had in a long time. She felt happy, something she’d been missing for a long time.
“I was just thinking about you the other day.” He looked mildly disappointed for a second before he cleared his throat “I’m sorry I haven’t kept in touch it’s been-“
Paige waved him off “You don’t have to apologize. The phone works both ways. I could have kept in touch too.”
“I know I just. I wish I-I wish-“
Paige cracked a smile and giggled “I’m not mad, just-come here.” She wrapped her arms around his midsection and let out a long breath.
It had been nearly 7 years since she’d seen him. The last time was Christmas and it had been fleeting leaving a bland taste in her mouth. She had caught him as he was leaving and she was coming home and they’d spoken briefly. She would have spent more time with him if she’d known it was the last. After that it seemed like they were never in the same place. When he was home, she was somewhere else. When she was home he was back on whatever team he was playing for. Talk about 7 years bad luck.
Still none of that mattered anymore. What mattered was they were both in the same place now.
“Wait do you live in this complex?” He said from somewhere above her. He still had his arms wrapped around her shoulders, squeezing her tightly.
“Yes, on the third floor.”
“Shut UP!” He exclaimed, jumping back, grabbing her shoulders and giving her a shake “Me too! I live in 3F so like the right side of the hall but two doors down from the elevator.”
“I’m in 3A at the beginning of the hall.”
“So we’re kind of neighbors- neighbors adjacent. Neighbor’s across the hall.”
Paige smiled “Sure. I was just heading to the store. Wanna come…neighbor?” She added hopefully. She was hoping he wasn’t busy, or meeting anyone. Now that she’d seen him, she just wanted to hold on to any time with him she could. He’d been absent in her life for so long she would take what she could get.
“Is that even a question? Of course I want to come.”
Being around him again made her feel lighter than she had in a long time.
Her last few years without him had been tough to say the least. Paige had always been complicated, more than even he knew. The war that waged in her head sometimes felt like she was carrying around more baggage than a person should. Her self esteem which had always been lower than average had plummeted in the last few years and what she was sure was depression took its place. Sometimes she felt light as a feather and full of joy. And some days she felt so bad she could barely get out of bed. But today felt different.
Seeing him had turned on a light that had been out for a long time. Once upon a time Joe had brought her out of a very thick shell. Maybe he could do it again.
“So how has everything been? I saw your dad when I was home over thanksgiving break. I asked about you.” He said glancing at her.
“I heard. I wasn’t feeling the best during thanksgiving and took some time away for a few days. I was going to reach out but I figured it had been so long you might not want to hear from me.”
“What?” He stopped walking and she slowed down before turning to face him “of course I would’ve liked to hear from you. Why would you ever think I wouldn’t?” He looked confused.
She shrugged “I don’t know. It had been so long with no contact just figured maybe we weren’t friends anymore.” She trailed off glancing at him.
He looked confused “No way. We’ve been friends for so long it would take a lot for that. And now that we’re in the same place again, your stuck with me. Or else.” He winked at her and she felt herself blush, and cleared her throat.
“So your a superstar now I see.”
“Nooooo.” He said waving his hand at her “Not quite.”
“Oh yeah?” She said quirking an eyebrow “Explain that.” She was pointing at a giant screen print of his face splashed across the window of a sporting goods store next to portraits of his other teammates.
He blushed “Well. I guess kind of. Here anyways.”
“Don’t pretend your not proud.” She elbowed him “You should be. You worked hard to get here.”
“Speaking of.” He said changing the subject and coughing to get rid of the redness on his face “If your up to it. We have a game on Saturday. Maybe we can do dinner Friday and catch up and you can come. If not then that’s fine-totally no pressure if it’s too much too soon and I-“ he was rambling but Paige cut him off.
“Sure.”
“Wait really? You wanna come?”
“Of course. Why wouldn’t I?”
“Oh I don’t know? Could be overwhelming or I could lose, or totally embarrass myself which I’m gonna do if I don’t stop talking. But great. I’m glad you want to come. I’d love that.” He gave her a once over and smiled “You look exactly the same.”
“I don’t know about that.”
“I do.” He gave her a long look “How are you doing though. Really.”
“I’m alright. I am!” She said when he made a face “Better than I was a few weeks ago at least. But today, I’m great. Maybe this place isn’t so bad after all.” She elbowed him as they reached the store.
Grocery shopping with him was exactly what she’d expected. He wandered away, slowed her down, and was recognized in every aisle but she was having the time of her life. In the last few years, she could think of only a few times she’d actually had a good day. This day would make up for all those bad days.
The continued their trip, chatting away like they’d never lost any time together until they came back to the complex and parted ways, making sure they had each others current numbers before making plans for dinner.
When he shut the door behind him a large smile spread across his face.
Gosh was it nice to see her. He thought about Paige all the time. She had been his closest friend for so long and then just vanished like she’d never been there at all. It had hurt, but he had always hoped she would come back. And then year after year she got further and further away from him.
Paige had always been like a maze. One where the walls were continuously moving and changing depending on the day. And while he’d known her half his life, she’d always been a bit of a mystery to him.
Having her as a part of his life had been the bestz He had known her so long he honestly couldn’t remember her not being his friend. And all it took was a knock on her door.
He’d been so curious about the girl who sporadically appeared at the house next door on the weekends and then was gone during the week. He only knew her name, Paige, and when he’d asked his mom about her she’d only encouraged him to ask her to play. She’d been so shy back then, the only reason she came outside at all being that her dad made her. But within the hour they were riding bikes around the street like they’d know each other for years. Every Sunday she’d go home, and he’d wait patiently all week for her to return and the crumbs would go on like that for years. Until one day, she never went home. He’d been so excited to get to see her everyday he had never even thought about if it bothered her that her mom abandoned her that way.
He had so many good memories with her it would take days to tell those stories. Things back then were so easy before life got in the way, they both got busy, he got drafted and moved away and that had been the end of it really.
He had always still cared about her and he had no real reason for losing touch. It felt kind of dumb now when he thought about it. Maybe if he’d made an effort more, they wouldn’t have lost so much time.
But that wasn’t important anymore. What was important was that she was here now.
He hit the FaceTime button for his mom, waiting while it rang and when she answered he said.
“Guess what.”
“Hello son, I’m great how are you doing?”
He rolled his eyes “Mom. Guess what.”
“What?”
“Paige is here in Toronto.”
His moms mouth fell open and she peered at him over her glasses “Paige? Paige Winters?”
“Yes.”
“Shutup she is not.”
He rolled his eyes and nodded “Yes she is. I saw her today.”
“No WAY!” She said slapping the table “I thought her dad said Texas not Toronto. How is she? Did you talk to her? Tell her I said-“
“Woah woah hold it. One thing at a time. She’s been here three weeks, in Toronto not Texas. She seems okay, but a little sad. We made plans for tomorrow. I’ll tell her you said hi. Did I get all that?”
“Don’t be smart. How is she doing really I mean though? She’s been through a lot.”
It was true. While Paige really came out of her shell when she moved to her dads, Joe sometimes felt like she never really faced the trauma that came from being essentially ditched by your mom at random and then never seeing her again. Though they’d been as close as close can be, he always suspected he never saw the true Paige. Like there was always something under the surface that he’d never seen. He could tell sometimes that her smile didn’t reach her eyes, or her laugh sounded hollow. He never spoke about it but her eyes sometimes were red from crying. He’d always wanted to ask and be there for her, but for her privacy he never questioned what was wrong. She would tell him if she wanted him to know and since she hadn’t he wouldn’t ask.
In the long run, being ditched, was the best thing for Paige at the time, but it still had to hurt her a little. He did what he could to help her recover, but that was wound that might never heal. Either way he never brought it up unless she did and the last time it had been talked about, they were 16 and sitting on the hood of Joe’s car in the driveway.
“Are you ready for school?” He asked as he watched a bat fly across the moon.
Paige shook her head “No. and don’t ruin our last few weeks of summer talking about school.”
He held up his hands “Sheesh sorry.”
Paige breathed out a laugh and closed her eyes “Do you think we’ll always be friends?”
He turned and looked at her with his eyebrows furrowed “Do you?”
“I hope so.”
“Of course we’re always going to be friends. Why wouldn’t we be? We’ve been friends since that very first day I ever saw you. Right there.” He pointed at a spot in the street where her m used to park and tell her to get out. She never even stepped foot in the driveway on drop off days.
Paige smiled “I’m glad you remember that because I don’t. I just remember being so relieved to be away from her.”
Joe was quiet. Paige didn’t bring up her mom hardly ever, and when she did he treaded very carefully.
“Do you ever hear from her?” He finally asked.
She shook her head “Not since she said goodbye and pulled away from the curb. I don’t really have any interest in hearing her out though. I mean who does that?”
“I mean I don’t know her or how she was but I do know that any normal parents wouldn’t do that.”
“Exactly. She was never a nice person. She didn’t want me, she just didn’t want my dad to have me. I hope she’s pleased with herself.”
“I hope she gets VD.”
Paige looked at him quickly and burst out laughing “I can’t believe you just said that.”
“I can’t either. It’s true though. Whatever the most painful one is. That’s the one she deserves.”
Paige smiled and closed her eyes “Your my best friend. You know that right?”
He smiled and leaned back on the sofa, glancing out his window after he ended the call with his mom, promising to pass on a hello message from her. Paige being back in his life had really thrown him a curve ball.
It was so nice to have her-
But the shrill ring of his phone snapped him out of his daydream and he saw his screen light up displaying ASHLEY across the screen.
Ashley
She wasn’t casual, but she wasn’t serious either. She had been somewhere in between for around a month now and while she wasn’t his “girlfriend” she was close enough.
And he’d forgotten all about her.
She was a nice girl, very pretty and got along well with pretty much everyone she’s come in contact with that he knew, but he wasn’t crazy about her. He liked her, sure, but if he was being honest she definitely wasn’t “the one” or at least not yet anyways. Maybe one day she could become, but if she was he figured he’d know it by now. Then again though his perception of love might have been skewed because he’d never felt it. And he wasn’t convinced she was at all if he hadn’t even remembered she was around.
And then he felt bad that he hadn’t.
He let it ring and go to voicemail, staring at the phone.
This could get awkward real fast.
The phone screen went dark and then lit up again signaling a missed call and a text message.
He did not answer.

---
Joseph Woll was sweating.
Not in a literal way—he wasn’t on the ice, and it wasn’t exactly hot outside in the middle of a Toronto winter—but in an oh my god, I’m about to embarrass myself kind of way.
He had been coming to this coffee shop for months. At first, it was just about the coffee. Then, it was about you.
It didn’t make sense. He didn’t even know you, not really. You barely knew him, past his usual order and the bits of small talk he could choke out between his awkward stammers. But still—he was hooked. He never believed in love at first sight. Thought that stuff only happened in movies or to guys way smoother than him. But here he was, heart flipping over itself because of you.
He tried to tell himself it was just a crush. Just some fleeting, stupid thing.
But then he’d walk in, and you'd be standing there—leaning against the counter, fingers tapping absently on the register, or tucking a strand of hair behind your ear as you concentrated on writing down an order. And every time, it hit him like a slap to the face.
It wasn’t just your smile, though God, that was unfairly cute. It was the way your eyes lit up when you spoke, the way you rocked on your heels when you were thinking, the way you twirled the end of your pen when you were distracted. He noticed it all. He liked it all.
And today? Today, he was going to try.
The bell jingled as he stepped inside, and you looked up—resting your elbow on the counter, eyes catching his like you'd been waiting for him.
“Hey, Jo!” You straightened a little, brushing your hands over your apron. He didn’t know if you realized you did that every time you saw him. Like you were subconsciously making yourself look more put together. Like you cared, just a little, about what he thought.
And that? That made his brain short-circuit.
“Hey—” He was so focused on not sounding like a complete idiot that he didn’t realize he had stopped walking too soon—until the guy behind him bumped into him, making him stumble forward.
“Oh, sorry, man,” the guy muttered, stepping around him.
Joseph turned back to you, ears already burning. “I—I meant to do that.”
You blinked, then let out a quiet laugh, biting your lip like you were trying to hold back something bigger. Joseph's face burned instantly—great, now you were laughing at him. He wanted to sink into the floor but settled for rubbing the back of his neck, hoping it hid how red his ears were.
"Right. Totally," you said, shifting your weight, your fingers twitching at your sides like you wanted to fidget with something.
Jo groaned internally. Great start, bud.
He straightened up, forcing himself to act normal—even though looking at you made his entire nervous system go haywire.
"Sooo," you said, tapping your nails lightly against the counter. "Same as always?"
He hesitated. He could just say yes, keep it simple. But no. Today’s Joseph was taking risks.
"Actually," he said, shifting slightly, "what’s, uh… what’s your favorite drink?"
Your eyes widened slightly. "Oh! Um—well, I really like the caramel oat milk latte. Kinda basic, but, y'know."
God, even the way you said ‘y’know’ was cute.
"Cool," Jo nodded. "I’ll, uh—I’ll get that, then."
You tilted your head, eyebrows pinching together slightly. "Really?"
"Yeah." He shoved his hands in his pockets, trying to look casual. "Gotta, uh—switch things up. Live a little."
Live a little? Why did I say that?
But instead of laughing at him, you just exhaled a small breath—like you were surprised—before nodding.
"O-okay," you said, turning toward the espresso machine.
Jo exhaled slowly, tapping his fingers against the counter. He could feel the nervous energy buzzing in the air between you two. He knew he needed to be smoother, but his brain was barely working as it was.
"So, uh," he blurted, just to fill the silence, "you, uh—you know I play for the Leafs, right?"
Oh my god, why did I say that? This is so lame.
You froze—like actually, physically froze—before whipping your head around so fast you almost knocked over a cup.
"Uh—yeah," you said, voice suddenly an octave higher. "Yeah, I—I know. Like, I watch your games. I mean, the Leafs' games. Not you specifically. That would be totally creepy. But, you know, I’m from Toronto and everything, so—yeah. I’m not creepy at all…."
You stopped, horrified at your own rambling, fingers tightening around the milk pitcher like it was your last grip on reality.
Jo was already too nervous to laugh, but god he wanted to. Not at you—just at how impossibly adorable you were when you got flustered. But his brain wasn’t cooperating, so instead, all he managed was:
"Oh, that’s cool." He nodded. "Cool. Cool, cool, cool."
Why did I say ‘cool’ five times?!
You cleared your throat, gripping the cup a little too tightly as you poured the steamed milk in. "You're, um—you’re really good, by the way."
Jo blinked.
His brain blinked.
"You—" He coughed, suddenly feeling like his limbs weren’t working properly. "You think I’m good?"
Your shoulders stiffened. You turned back to him, eyes wide, like you couldn’t believe you had just said that out loud.
"I—I mean—yes? You—you’re a professional hockey player, so—so obviously you’re good, I just—I just meant, um—"
Jo was so in love with you. Like, painfully in love with you.
He let out a laugh—awkward, slightly breathless—rubbing the back of his neck. "Well—uh—thanks. That, uh—that means a lot."
You nodded quickly, hands trembling slightly as you put the lid on his cup.
Jo swallowed hard. This is it. Say it. Just say it.
"So, um—" He cleared his throat, praying his voice didn’t betray just how wrecked he was over this. "Since I’m, uh, trying new things today…"
You glanced at him, fingers curling slightly against the counter, your head tilting just a little. He could see the curiosity in your expression, the way your brows lifted slightly, waiting for him to continue. That tiny movement nearly sent his brain into a tailspin.
"I was, uh—wondering if you’d maybe want to, um, get brunch? With me? Sometime?"
The second the words left his mouth, his stomach flipped. He had no idea how you were going to react. Was that too forward? Too weird? Too—
And then—
Jo shifted his weight a little too quickly—
Crash.
His hip slammed into the napkin dispenser, sending it flying off the counter. The metal container hit the floor with a clatter, napkins exploding in every direction like some kind of tragic comedy.
For a second, neither of you moved.
Jo stood there, ears burning, mentally calculating the fastest way to flee the country.
You gasped, eyes wide. "Oh—oh my God—"
"N-no, I—I'll get them—" Jo blurted, immediately crouching down to scoop up the mess—
And at the same time, you instinctively stepped out from behind the counter, kneeling down to help.
Neither of you realized just how close you were—until you turned at the same time and—
Bump.
Your forehead knocked into his, not hard, but enough that both of you immediately reeled back, hands flying to your heads.
"SORRY!" Jo practically yelped.
"No, no, I—I wasn’t—" you stammered at the same time, your voice just as flustered.
For a moment, you both just sat there, frozen, faces burning, staring at each other like two people who had completely lost control of the situation.
And then—
Laughter.
It started small, breathless, slightly strangled—like neither of you could believe this was actually happening. But then it grew, spilling into something uncontrollable, something that shook Jo’s shoulders as he dropped his head, chuckling in complete disbelief.
When he finally looked up, you were still laughing, eyes bright, cheeks flushed, hands over your mouth like you were trying to hold it in. It was the best thing he had ever seen.
He exhaled, still grinning, rubbing his forehead. "So, uh… is that a no?"
You bit your lip, shaking your head quickly, still breathless from laughing. "N-no! I—I mean, yes! I mean—I would like to—um—yes. A date. With you. That would be—nice."
Jo let out a breath he didn’t even realize he was holding. His heart felt like it was doing victory laps inside his chest.
Slowly, both of you stood up. Jo awkwardly wiped his palms against his jeans, still trying to process what just happened. You tucked a strand of hair behind your ear, avoiding his eyes for half a second before glancing back at him, your face still warm.
"Oh," he said, trying—and failing—to sound casual. "Cool."
Your lips twitched like you were holding back a laugh. "You really love that word, huh?"
Jo opened his mouth to protest—only to realize that, yeah, he had definitely said cool at least six times in the past few minutes. His ears burned. "I—I have other words," he muttered.
"Mhm. Sure."
Still smiling, you grabbed a marker and, right in front of him, started writing on his cup. Joseph watched, heart hammering, as you bit your lip, cheeks warm like you were suddenly feeling just as shy as he was. When you finished, you slid the cup toward him and quickly busied yourself adjusting the napkin holder—like maybe you were trying to avoid looking directly at him.
He glanced down.
Jo :)
And underneath it—your number.
Jo blinked. Looked at you. Back at the cup.
By some miracle, he managed to mutter a "Thanks" before heading for the door—only to nearly trip over the curb outside. He caught himself at the last second, cheeks burning, grinning like an absolute idiot.
Best. Coffee. Ever.

May I request passionfruit macaroons, 2, with fresh berries?
Act - J. Woll
v' bakery pairing: Joseph Woll x fem!reader summary: You and Joseph were pretending to be a couple until feelings won warning: NSFW, oral (f receiving) taglist: @bunbunbl0gs @hwalllllllelujah
It started by mistake. Joseph needed a plus one and you agreed to go with him. You were acting like a couple to show everyone that you two are dating. In reality you were just good friends but this dynamic stayed. When he needed a pair, you were going with him and vice versa. Pretending that you are together was coming very easily for both of you.
People were assuming that you two are dating and you were always saying that you are in a relationship. It was always an act but you preferred to keep it this way. With time, the feelings started to show up. You saw what a great guy Joseph is and how lucky his future girlfriend will be with him. You wished to be her but you knew it’s only platonic.
That’s why you needed to confront him. You were in love with Joseph and you wanted him to know. You wanted to be honest with him and not be hurt. You needed to know if you should move on with your life. You hoped that maybe he had the same feelings for you but you weren’t trying to convince yourself about it.
Joseph called you and asked if he could come today to see you after the training. You agreed and thought to yourself that this is the perfect time to tell him about this. You wanted to have this conversation behind you. Nervously, you’ve been waiting for him to arrive at your doorstep not really sure what you should exactly tell him.
All your worries disappeared when you heard the ring bell. You opened the door and Joseph kissed your cheek. He always greeted you this way but you wished he would kiss your lips. You two sat on the couch in the living room and he was telling you about his day until he noticed that you’re acting off.
“What’s worrying your pretty head?” Joseph asked you. You took a deep breath. It was now or never.
“I need to tell you something but you need to promise that this won’t change our friendship if you won’t like it” Joseph looked confused at you but nodded his head, giving you sign to continue. “I’m in love with you” You confessed.
Joseph was looking at you, not sure what to tell you. He didn’t expect these words from you but he was delighted to hear them. He has having feelings for you since your first fake date but never addressed them to you, scared that you see him only as a friend.
“I need to break our promise…” You looked at him mortified that you just ruined your friendship. “Because I’m in love with you too” Joseph told you.
“Prove it. Please, prove it that I’m not delusional and I’m not making up this confession” You said and Joseph smiled at you. He leaned towards you to finally kiss you.
You two melted during this kiss. You got lost in a moment and started undressing each other. It wasn’t hectic but it was passionate. This was something both of you wanted for a really long time. You were sitting only in your underwear when you heard Joseph.
“We can stop if you want” But you only pulled him into another kiss.
Joseph took it as a confirmation and unclipped your bra. You laid on the couch while his lips were still attached to yours. He was going lower with his lips not wanting to miss any spot of your body. He placed a kiss on your stomach and gently took off your underwear. He spread your legs as much as he could and licked his lips.
You put your hands into Joseph’ hair and pushed him on your pussy. He licked you and you moaned at this feeling. He was careful with you like you were the most fragile thing in the world. He wanted to show you and prove to you how much he appreciates you and wants you as his. His lips were glued to your clit and he sucked it.
You never felt that good like right now. It was an act full of love and worshiping. You enjoyed every second of it. Your left hand grabbed your boob by instinct and you were playing with it while Joseph was eating you out. He looked at you and saw you doing it and could feel how his dick is tightening in the underwear.
Joseph put one finger into you while still licking your pussy. He could feel how tight you are. You were moaning under him. You didn’t want him to stop, you were craving more and more from him. From your body, he could feel it and added another finger into you. You pushed his head even closer to your clit.
You could feel that your orgasm would come any minute but you were out of words to even say this to Joseph. You were breathing heavily from the sensation. He didn’t slow his moves, he wanted to give you the best orgasm he could. You cum around his fingers and he helped you to get rid of your high.
You tried to catch a breath when Joseph towered over you and kissed your lips. He could swear that he’ll never get tired of kissing you. He lifted you up and took you to the bathroom where you had round two under the shower with him.

“No one gets to treat you like that, you hear me? no one.” I Joseph Woll

Summary; You and Joseph Woll share a wonderful bond - a bond that might just be so strong that none of you dare to risk ruining it. However, one evening, Joe just can't hold it in any longer.
Tropes & warnings; best friend!Joe; friends to lovers - no warnings; (idk, maybe language?)
Other notes; I do apologise if I've written anything close to this before, however, I do just really love this sort of trope - and hopefully, it's still enjoyable 🙏🏼 So much love for our sweet goalie 🤗🌺

Joseph Woll was undeniably your closest friend. In your eyes, he was the epitome of kindness, and you couldn't help but adore and stand by him through every game, sharing in every triumph as well as every setback. You simply cherished the bond you shared, relishing the relationship and closeness, even though it never strayed beyond the boundaries of friendship.
_
You had known Joseph ever since his early days with the Maple Leafs, where you had been introduced through a mutual friend. Initially, he was just another aspiring hockey player striving to carve out his place, and you were simply thrilled to get to know him, even if only briefly. However, it didn't take long for you to see the kind heart beneath his competitive exterior, and as time passed, your bond only deepened, evolving into a connection that felt as natural as breathing.
Your relationship was swiftly built on late-night chats, shared jokes, and unwavering support. So, when Joseph returned to the Leafs, you were already there, right at the front, cheering louder than anyone in the crowd. And whether celebrating triumphs or enduring defeats, you remained his constant, the person he could always rely on.
You attended nearly every game you could – especially if you knew he’d play first goalie – often wearing a Leafs jersey with "Woll" proudly displayed on the back. And while others started to notice your constant presence, many assuming you were a couple, you both knew the truth – you were just friends, albeit very close ones.
Spending time together outside the rink was one of the highlights of your friendship. Whether it was a quiet movie night at your place or a lazy Sunday afternoon baking at his, the comfort and ease between you were undeniable. Yet, amidst these moments there were subtle gestures – the brush of his hand against yours when passing the popcorn, the way he’d tuck a stray strand of hair behind your ear, or the lingering hugs that lasted just a second longer than necessary. These moments were filled with a tension that neither of you acknowledged but both felt.
Yet despite the constant whispers and assumptions from others, Joseph always made it clear how much he valued your friendship. “I couldn’t imagine my life without you,” he’d express, genuine fondness colouring his words. “You’re my rock.”
And each time, you’d smile, brushing off any deeper implications. “That’s what friends are for, right?” you’d reply with a soft smile, though quietly longing for something more.
Believing that Joseph viewed you solely as a friend was simpler, as he frequently emphasised the significance of your friendship and how much he treasured it. Thus, you opted to keep your feelings to yourself, satisfied with the deep connection you both cherished, even if it meant hiding the occasional longing that haunted your sleepless nights.
_
What you didn’t realise, though, was that Joseph was grappling with his own struggles and had developed a significant crush on you over the years. However, to avoid jeopardising the cherished friendship between you two, he was attempting to create some distance, even though whenever he spent time with you, everything seemed perfect, and he found himself falling even more deeply.
You meant so much more to him than you realised. And it pained him especially to witness you getting hurt, as you had a bad habit of attracting the wrong kind of partners – men who simply failed to recognise your incredible qualities. They would charm you with sweet words and false promises, only to exploit your kindness and leave you feeling used and abandoned. And Joseph was always there to console you and provide a shoulder to cry on, yet each instance tore him apart inside.
He wanted to protect you, to shield you from pain, and show you what genuine love truly entailed. However, fear held him back – the fear that confessing his feelings would change everything, and he couldn’t bear the thought of losing you.
Yet, he frequently found himself gazing at you when you weren’t looking, his heart swelling with unspoken sentiments. The sparkle in your eyes when discussing something you were passionate about, the warmth that radiated from your laughter, and the gentle kindness you extended to those around you – all captivated him. Each time he witnessed your smile, his heart skipped a beat, and every tear you shed felt like his world crumbling. You were his everything, even if you weren’t aware of it, and he would go to great lengths to keep you in his life, even if it meant concealing his true feelings indefinitely.
He just treasured your friendship too much to risk it, and therefor he concealed his feelings. At times, he even withdrew slightly, attempting to manage the emotions that threatened to overwhelm him, and despite your notices and inquiries about his well-being, he maintained his casual and composed facade, offering a reassuring smile while his heart suffered in silence.
However, as the burden of his secret weighed heavily upon him, Joseph gradually recognised that he could reach a breaking point at any moment. And then, one night, he found himself unable to contain it any longer.
_
The atmosphere in the arena was thick with disappointment as the Leafs suffered a 3-1 defeat against the Bruins in the fourth game of the playoffs' first round. Samsonov had started as goalie, but only shortly into the third period, Joseph was called onto the ice, and despite his efforts, the outcome remained unchanged. And now, with the Bruins leading the series 3-1, the Leafs faced a battle for survival in the upcoming playoff game.
The only silver lining for Joseph that night was your unwavering support. However, this time, you weren't alone. You had brought along a date—a guy you'd recently met, chatted with for a few weeks, had some casual coffee dates with, and now wanted to introduce to your everyday life, including Joseph.
And initially, the idea seemed promising, and you were genuinely pleased when he agreed to accompany you to the game. Even as the match unfolded, your date appeared to be enjoying himself.
But when the final buzzer signalled the Leafs' loss, the weight of disappointment hung heavily in the arena, and as you made your way down to meet Joseph, you sensed that perhaps this wasn't the ideal moment for introductions. But there was no turning back now. So, when you saw Josephs’ crestfallen expression, you did your best to offer a gentle smile as you approached him and embraced him tightly.
"I'm so sorry, Joe..." you spoke softly, giving him a light squeeze before pulling back and meeting his gaze with empathy. “You did so amazingly!” You knew your words couldn't fully heal his wounds, but as always you wanted to express your unwavering support and lighten the mood, even if only slightly.
And in response, Joseph managed a faint smile. "We gave it our all, right?" he sighed deeply, to which you nodded.
"Look on the bright side, there's still a chance for redemption. It'll be a tough fight, but there's hope.” You flashed him a soft smile. “And knowing the Leafs well enough, I’m sure there's a good chance you'll make a comeback."
With those words, it felt as though you had magically lifted the weight from the room just a little. Even other players managed soft smiles as they shared moments with their partners and families, and sensing that the tension had eased, you took the opportunity to introduce your date to your best friend.
At first, things seemed to be going smoothly. They exchanged handshakes, greeting each other with content smiles as they acknowledged the roles, they both played in your life. Yet, you couldn't shake the feeling that there was something tense about the situation. And unable to pinpoint exactly what it was, you felt a pang when your date suddenly attempted to inject humour by making a snide comment about your relationship with the team. Fortunately, you managed to brush it off, though his words stung. Yet, it was when you felt an urgent need to visit the ladies' room that the atmosphere of the evening took a sudden turn.
"So, you and y/n... you're just friends?" your date asked Joseph as the two of them were left alone, the hallway slowly emptying out.
"Yeah... why do you ask?" Joseph inquired, curious about his intentions.
"Oh, nothing... you just seem... you know, really into her," your date remarked with an overly confident smirk, as if trying to assert dominance in a game with your best friend.
However, Joseph wasn't in the mood for games anymore. He was tired and disappointed by the loss, so he simply shrugged. "Sure, I mean, she's an amazing person, so... yeah, I guess I like her."
"Well, why don't you just make a move on her then?"
Joseph's eyes narrowed at the smart remark from the stranger.
"What do you mean? We're friends, and you're the one dating her..." he felt a little puzzled.
"Oh, come on, man," the guy chuckled darkly. "She's great and all... but to be honest, she's just a good fuck."
Joseph was utterly taken aback by his words. How could he say something so disrespectful straight to his face? You were his best friend, and this guy was talking about you as if you were some casual acquaintances he was merely hooking up with, completely disregarding your feelings. Did he not realise you were dating?
"What are you talking about?" was all Joseph managed to ask, feeling the anger boiling within him, fuelled by the disappointment of the loss.
"What I said... she's nice, but I'm just looking for a good fuck, that's all," your date grinned again, his smirk growing even wider and more arrogant by the second. "Actually, I was hoping to score with some other girls here... like that one over there," he pointed to a tall brunette chatting with Auston. "She's more my type... y/n, she's just... I don't know, like girlfriend material or something—and that's not what I'm after."
Joseph couldn't believe what he was hearing. His heart raced in his chest, his fists clenched at his sides as he took a step closer to your date, his voice low and menacing. "Are you fucking serious right now?" he practically growled. "She's not someone you can just toy with and treat like shit. She's an incredible person, and she deserves far better than someone like you."
Your date looked slightly surprised, muttering something under his breath, as he hadn't anticipated Joseph responding with such force.
Nor had anyone else. Those still lingering in the hallway turned their heads towards him, their eyes widening as they heard the typically sweet and composed goaltender suddenly raise his voice, brimming with intensity.
"Well, if you care about her so much, then be a man and actually do something instead of pretending like you're not in love with her," your date shot back.
You hadn't caught a word of their exchange, but as you returned to the two men, you immediately sensed the tension that had developed between them.
"What's happening?" you asked, curious about the atmosphere.
But the two men just simply continued to lock eyes, before Joseph, being the good guy yet again, decided to diffuse the situation.
"Nothing," he replied, but you didn't buy it for a second.
"Is that so?" You turned to your date, raising a brow as you noticed his overly confident smirk, a sign that he realised Joseph wouldn't stoop to his level.
"Of course," he chuckled lightly. "Joe and I here are just having a man-to-man chat..."
An awkward silence hung in the air, and you weren't sure how to break free from it. But then, your date attempted humour again, and once more, it fell flat. He even followed it up with another arrogant remark, causing the heat to boil over.
"Just needed to check if there were any other players that were in love with you – or maybe you’re just sleeping with the rest of them."
But that was the final straw for Joseph. And as if acting on instinct, like another person was I control of his actions, he swung his arm, landing a clenched fist right on the guy’s nose, causing your date to stumble back with force, clutching his nose, while a shocked gasp escaped your lips. The sudden violence caught you off guard, leaving you frozen in place, unsure of what to do next, as you had never experienced Joseph act like that.
And quickly, you stepped forward, placing a hand on Joseph's chest in an attempt to calm him down. "Oh my god, Joe," you gasped, your voice laced with concern. “Are you okay?”
He merely just stood there, chest heaving with anger though also feeling a sense of satisfaction, as he had finally released the pent-up frustration that had been simmering since your date's first disrespectful comments about you.
Meanwhile, the corridor erupted into light chaos as nearby onlookers gasped and murmured, some about to intervene while others watched wide-eyed, unsure of how to react. But there was no need for panic. Despite no one ever expecting for Joe to act that way, the situation seemed to be swiftly calming.
And to no one’s surprise, there was a palpable awkwardness in the air as your date looked shocked by Joseph's actions. However, upon realising that you had defended your friend rather than him, he simply huffed. "Guess I see where your loyalty lies..."
But you couldn't help but shoot him a glare, placing the blame squarely on his shoulders for the situation with his disrespectful comments.
"Always," you simply retorted.
And with that, your date straightened his coat and quickly made his exit.
Then turning your attention to your best friend, who had just behaved in a way you'd never witnessed before, your eyes reflected concern.
"Hey... are you okay?" you repeated softly.
But Joseph just took a deep breath, his gaze dark as he met yours. "He was out of line, and he needed to be called out on it..."
You were left speechless, unable to fully grasp the gravity of what had happened. Joseph had never displayed such anger, particularly not on your behalf. And his tone with you was something entirely new.
"Joe..." you started, but he cut you off, his frustration still evident, not allowing for you to come up with any more excuses or defences for the jerks you chose to date.
“No one gets to treat you like that, you hear me? no one.” Joseph's voice was unwavering, stern as he locked eyes with you.
Filled with emotions as he swallowed, suppressing the lingering tension, you kept your hand on his chest, while the two of you gradually calmed from the intensity of the situation, and the crowd around you slowly dispersing.
"Why..." you breathed out, your voice barely audibles above a whisper.
"What do you mean, why?" Joseph frowned his brows, his voice still firm.
"Why did you stand up for me like that?"
"Because I fucking love you! Alright?"
Joseph's confession crashed over you like a wave, leaving you stunned and rooted in place. You gazed at him, trying to comprehend the weight of his words, as the intensity in his eyes was unlike anything you'd seen before, a raw and honest declaration that shattered every barrier you'd erected between friendship and something more.
And for a moment, the world around you faded into insignificance, leaving only the two of you in the dim corridor. The sounds of the murmurs of bystanders became distant echoes as you focused entirely on Joseph.
"Joe," you whispered again, your voice filled with emotion, "I... I don’t know what to say..."
And slowly, Joseph's expression softened, his gaze searching yours for any hint of understanding. "You don't need to say anything, y/n. I just couldn't hold it in any longer. Seeing him disrespect you like that... it just broke me. I love you – I always have - and I can't bear the thought of anyone treating you with anything less than the respect you deserve."
Tears were starting to brim in your eyes as the truth of his words settled over you. All those shared moments, the laughter, the late-night talks, the unspoken support – they all took on new significance, as you realised that the feelings, you'd buried deep inside were mirrored in Joseph's heart.
And this time, it was you acting on pure instinct, almost leaping to reach Joseph, who towered over you, as you wrapped your arms around his neck, closing the distance between you and almost clashed your lips to meet in a heartfelt kiss.
It was a moment you both had yearned for, and now it was finally happening. Joy surged through your body as you let your lips linger on his, moving softly and gently as he too wrapped his arms around you and held you close. And upon pulling apart to catch your breath, both of you couldn't help but smile widely.
"I've loved you too, Joe... for so long,” you breathed softly, your eyes locking with his once more. “I just never really believed you'd feel the same way about me," you confessed.
Relief and joy washed over Joseph's face as he pulled you into a tight embrace. "Of course, I do... y/n, you mean more to me than anyone... and I've always wanted to tell you, but I was too afraid of losing you," he murmured.
And as you held each other closely, the tension of the evening melted away, replaced by a newfound clarity and purpose. Then pulling back slightly, looking up into his eyes, you couldn’t suppress a light chuckle.
"Why did we wait so long to do this?" you asked, a small smile playing on your lips.
"Because we're idiots," Joseph simply chuckled, before pulling you in for another kiss.

I am willing to try and write for any player that you all request!
Players that I will not write for:
Auston Matthews
Connor McDavid
Matt Rempe
Jake Neighbours
Connor Bedard
Macklin Celebrini
Will Smith
John Marino (I used to write for him, but I don't really see him in That Way anymore. So I'd prefer not to write for him.)
Players who were born in or after the year 2004.
Players who were born in or before the year 1994.
Players who are married. For example, I think Mason Marchment on the Stars is sooooo… but he’s married and I feel weird writing fic about someone who is in a LEGALLY committed relationship.
WHAT
I enjoy writing both vanilla/fluffy sex AND dom/sub dynamics. I am a huge supporter of the daddy kink and a classic ‘unprotected p in v’ tag. I personally lean more into a sub dynamic, so I prefer writing men that are more dominant in bed, but I am not against writing sub!m. In fact, I have a few fics and blurbs that are sub!m and they are some of my favorites. I will also write threesomes, but it is a large undertaking, and I prefer to brainstorm that content on my own. You are more than welcome to request a threesome, but there are no guarantees I get to it.
I will not write anything with dark!characters. The closest thing to dark!characters that I will write is a bit of gaslighting, like in my frat fever and all roads fics. I love a situationship as much as the next person, but non-con content is not going to appear on this blog. That’s rape. That’s sexual assault. As someone who has experienced SA in my own life, I will not allow that content to taint my blog. We are all here to have a good time. Rape does not equal “a good time.”
I love the Hughes brothers as much as the next person, but I will not write incest. I do not support writers who do.
In that vein, there is a limit to a lot of the content I will write. I am down to write about having sex while intoxicated, but I will not publish content where characters are so intoxicated that they cannot consent. I am down to write a bit of somnophilia, but it is always consensual and discussed beforehand. The same is true with choking, slapping, and spanking– it is consensual and, in the event that something happens in the heat of the moment, the characters stop and check in with each other. Because that’s how real life should work.
I also will not write inexperienced!reader x experienced!player fanfiction. I have a Trevor Zegras series that explored that dynamic and, while I respect the people who enjoy that sort of content, I feel like it glorifies the process of losing your virginity to a “good, caring, perfect” person in a “good, caring, perfect” time, and that is not always realistic. Most times, losing your virginity is something that you will giggle about or cringe at by the time you become regularly sexually active. I often feel like the people who request that content are the minors lurking on my account (see more on that in the next section) and I will not cater to that.
WHY
I refuse to create any content that will negatively affect people. I am a firm believer that, despite the fact that my blog is NOT safe for minors, there are certainly minors lurking on here. I was once a 14 year old on tumblr dot com. I’m not a fool. Because of that, I will not be creating content that fetishizes abuse, toxicity, power imbalance, or violence between partners. Everything that I write will be safe, sane, and consensual. I will not write anything that breaks the law or the general code of morals that 90% of people in the world follow.
All of the relationships in my fics are meant to represent normal, healthy relationships where the participants are equals (even if their dynamic in the bedroom is dom/sub).

i’d love to see you write something with the prompt “call me cheesy or a fool, but I needed to wish you sweet dreams” with joseph woll! just pure tooth-rotting sweetness and love
Prompt: “call me cheesy or a fool, but i needed to wish you sweet dreams”
Note: i swear he just exudes teddy bear fluff ball energy and i love it
There was no better feeling than finally being able to take your makeup off after a long day. Washing your face, throwing your hair in a messy bun, and climbing into bed buried under more blankets than one human should ever need.
Closing your eyes as all you could think about was-
Buzz buzz buzz, buzz buzz buzz
Opening your eyes with a groan, your arm flung to your bedside table to grab your phone as it buzzed. Wondering who was calling you and disrupting your peace.
“Joseph Woll, you better have a pretty good reason for calling me. Especially since we just got off the phone, I don’t know 10 minutes ago!”
He laughed at your playful scolding, knowing you could never truly be mad at him. You and Joseph had been dating for a few months now, and the one thing that had already become a staple was nightly phone calls when he was on the road. Although tonight that apparently changed to multiple phone calls since he’d now called you again.
“No no no, it’s a great reason actually!”
Rolling your eyes as you smiled into the phone, not able to control your childlike giddiness he made you feel when he got excited to talk to you.
“I’m waiting Joseph!”
Responding in a sing-song tone as you rolled over in bed, pulling the covers up tight to your chest.
“Call me cheesy or a fool, but I needed to wish you sweet dreams.”
Your cheeks bright red and blushing, he was definitely right that was cheesy, but it made you smile from ear to ear. Joseph was the kind of cheesy remarks, and it made you fall for him more and more each day. The way he could get you to blush and laugh at the drop of a hat, and he used it to his advantage.
“Josephhhhh! You’re such a pain in my butt!”
“I know I know, but I always tell you sweet dreams. And I forgot. And, well-“ his voice now at a whisper, surely his roommate for the road trip had joined him in the room and he was trying his best to not get caught being a sappy boy.
“we’ve been on a win streak ever since I started telling you sweet dreams. And, I feel like that’s gotta be good luck or something?”
Shaking your head you could not begin to wrap your head around how you got stuck with such an adorable teddy bear of a man.
“So what happens when you lose? You won’t tell me sweet dreams anymore?”
Pouring into the phone, Joseph quickly protested the idea. “Oh my gosh, I did make it seem like that huh? Of course I’ll keep saying it, I just, dang it I goofed on that one huh?”
The two of you laughing before you’d let out a yawn, letting him know you did need to get some sleep.
“Well, if and when the day comes we lose, I’ll just start a new thing to say to you before I hand up. But for now, sweet dreams baby girl.”

“Not to sound cheesy, but your smile really lights up the room.” for Woller?♥️
YES! Thanks for requesting this. It’s the first time I’ve ever written for him, and it’s the perfect trial run for something longer in the future!
Thanks anon and I hope you enjoy this🤍
There was a ton of beautiful girls in the world.
But none as beautiful as his girl.
At least in his opinion anyways.
His friends made fun but it couldn’t be helped. He could not find a single thing wrong with you. There was something magical about you that he couldn’t put into words, but anyone who knew you understood what he meant.
The way you talked. The way you laughed. Even the way you sneezed was adorable and every minute he wasn’t talking about you, he was hoping someone would bring you up so he could. Every second, every minute, every hour spent with you no matter what you were doing was the best part of his day.
He found himself openly staring at you more often than not, eyes moving over your features until he had them memorized. He listened to your every word, voice dulcet as the sweetest honey that moved through him with a shiver. The way you wrapped your arms around him after a game, or in bed at night or just because you felt like it always made him blush, even after all this time.
He would never get over how much you had lit up his everyday.
“Hey. Are you listening to me?” You snapped your fingers and leaned down to look at him pushing your bottom lip out.
He was sitting across from you, chin resting on his palm while you told him about work. He was dreamy eyed and nodded with a smile “Every word.”
“Why are you looking at me like that?”
He shrugged “Why would I not? When you have a girlfriend this beautiful you look at her every chance you get.”
Blood rushed to your cheeks and you couldn’t stop the smile from spreading across your face.
He sighed and met your eyes “Not to sound cheesy, but your smile really lights up the room.” He paused and then grinned “Who am I kidding of course I’m trying to sound cheesy.”
“You do a great job.”
He chuckled and motioned for you to come around the table and sit on his lap. He rested a hand on your knee and gave it a squeeze “That’s why you love me though right?”
“That’s only one of the reasons I love you. But if I listed them all we’d be here all day.” You squeezed his hand back and wrapped an arm around his shoulders.
He smiled eyes sparkling and kissed your cheek “Start listing. As long as I get to spend it with you I hope it takes forever.”

The past - J. Woll
v' bakery pairing: Joseph Woll x fem!reader summary: You were always mysterious person about life and din't want to share your past with Joseph. He wanted to know more about you and when you asked him to pretend to be your boyfriend, he saw opportunity in this warning: none note: my first ever Joseph work! this was exciting to write, let me know how you like it❤️🩹
It was supposed to be a one night thing. You asked Joseph if he can be your plus one and act like your boyfriend because you didn’t want to go by yourself to a friend’s gathering. He gladly accepted and was excited to learn more about you. The thing between the two of you was that you were friends but you kept your life a secret. He didn’t know many things about you but you knew everything about him.
The reason why you’ve been so private was related to your past. When you were younger, you got yourself into addiction because you tried to impress others. You ended up in rehab. After this, you didn’t want to say anything about it and the only people who knew were your friends and family. You met Joseph after rehab and didn’t want to admit to him.
At first this idea sounded great but later you realised that Joseph is gonna meet your friends. The same friends that know about your past. You started panicking and wanted to uninvite him but you knew this would look even more suspicious. You just hoped that no one is gonna tell him anything. That was your only request for the night.
Finally, it was the night. Joseph picked you up from your apartment and could tell that something’s wrong with you.
“Are you nervous?” Joseph asked you and heard your deep sigh.
“A little bit, I never did the fake dating thing” You lied. This wasn’t the reason you were nervous but he didn’t need to know the real reason.
“It’s gonna be fine” He smiled at you.
You didn’t say anything back, just focus on the road ahead of you. Joseph felt that you’re hiding something but he was used to you acting mysterious that’s why he didn’t ask anymore questions. He wanted you to feel happy and he thought that you’ll be the minute you two enter the house where the gathering is.
As a real gentleman, Joseph opened the passenger door for you. He grabbed your hand to make your relationship more realistic. Couple days earlier you two talked about how to make your plan work and both of you agreed on physical touch but no kissing. That's why he wanted to have his hand in your or on you.
You took a deep breath and opened the door. You put a fake smile on your face and walked into your friend’s house. The minute you two arrived into the living room, everyone's eyes were on you and Joseph. You felt overwhelmed but Joseph squeezed your hand, telling you that everything’s gonna be alright.
You introduced your friends to Joseph and you could tell that they love him. You couldn’t blame them. Joseph was an incredible guy with a great personality. Your plan for the evening was to stay next to him so your friends won’t tell him anything about your past. It sounded like an incredible idea.
Unfortunately for you, one of your friends dragged you to the kitchen to tell you something in private. Just like that, Joseph was all by himself with your friends. When you were in the kitchen, listening to your friend's problems, Joseph wanted to learn something about you. He asked one of the girls why you never talk about yourself.
This question caught your friend off guard. At first, she didn’t know if she should tell him but after a couple of seconds, she realised that it’s better for him to know. She told him about your problems and rehab. Joseph was taken aback about this confession. He didn’t expect this answer but he was grateful to know this.
When you returned to the living room and saw Joseph’s face, you knew that he found out. He spotted you walking to the room but you ignored him and went to the garden. He followed you there to have an honest conversation with you. You stood there with eyes focused on your shoes. You heard the door opening and you knew that’s him.
“I’m guessing my friends told you about everything” You spoke not even bothered to look at him.
“Yeah” Joseph walked next to you. “Why didn't you say anything?”
“It’s in my past. When I got my shit together, I met you so there was no point in me talking about old times” You answered honestly.
“Fair but still, the past made you the person you are now. You shouldn’t be ashamed of it” Joseph said and took off his jacket to give it to you when he saw you shaking from the cold.
“Maybe you’re right” You sighed. “My past made me the person I am right now but that doesn’t require me to tell you about it”
“You hid a huge part of your life. You should tell me about it, especially when you wanted me to act as your boyfriend. You know what weird look I got from your friend when I asked her about it?” Joseph was getting irritated at you, but deep down he knew that you had full right not to tell him.
“You asked someone? What’s wrong with you?” You finally faced him. “Why are you even so interested in my past? We’re just friends. I needed a plus one and you agreed to play along. Oh I see, you only agreed so you could come with me and ask my friend about me huh?”
Joseph didn’t say a word and you knew that it was his plan. You two stood there in awkward silence. None of you knew what to say.
“Do you regret it? You finally spoke. “Do you regret knowing me after you learn about my past?”
“No. I regret nothing. As I said earlier, your past made you the person you’re right now. I’m happy that you overcame your problems and I’m proud of you” Joseph hugged you.. “Sorry for being nosey. I shouldn’t do it” You smiled at his words.
“Don’t be. I understand why you wanted to know” You pulled from him. “I didn’t tell you because I was scared how you might react”
“You shouldn’t be. It’s your past and you're a new person now” Joseph smiled at you. “Should we get back inside?”
“Yes please. If you want, we can talk about this different day and today just enjoy each other’s company” You proposed.
“Only if you’re ready to have the conversation” You didn’t respond. Only grabbed Joseph’s hand and walked inside. You felt that since now, you two might have a future together.
