Shards of glass surround the legs like lightning bolts. The page says "you always thought that the scariest part of a leap of faith would be the fall".

This is interspersed with close-up panels of Miles in his first black suit. There's one of his outstretched hand, one of his chest symbol, one very close to his eyes and another of his outstretched feet. Behind the panels, there's a rock pigeon mid-flight. The sentence continues with "floating;", followed by four panels of Miles floating as his fall is flipped upside down. The pose is identical in each, but the background gets gradually darker for each one. Then, "free in a way that feels unnatural -" is written, accompanied by a panel of Miles in his school uniform. You can't see above his lips and he's sweating nervously, shoulders hunched. Scribbles, like the portals on The Spot, crowd around him. The sentence finishes with "you love it". The final panel zooms into Miles' hand clutching his backpack strap. His Spider-Man suit peaks out of his sleeve.

After this there's two different Miles, standing with their bodies facing the viewer but eyes facing each other. The first is taller, unmasked, and wearing his outfit from the rooftop party. His expression is pinched together, worried. The other is in his ill-fitting store-bought Spider-Man replica suit, body posed as if he's been caught by surprise. His eyes, from what is visible, are wide. Two panels separate them - one is completely black, while one has a spark of blue lightning bursting out of it. Finally, the sentence ends "... but then you'd just be there; waiting, doing nothing".

Image five: The final page of a digital comic about Miles Morales from the Spider-Verse movies. It starts with Miles' hand in the darkness, unfurling as he reaches out his index finger. Blue lightning sparks off of it, leaving his finger like a claw. This is surrounded by the line "and you can't let that happen,". Below that, Miguel O'Hara's gloved hand creeps towards Miles, curled and claws out, like he's just failed to grasp something. It is large compared to Miles, who is swinging through the air, looking back at the hand. His body is fairly loose. The page ends with the line "even if the first step is the steepest".]

Weeeeeeeee, awwwwwwwwwww. This is so adorable I am gonna cry. Look at them.

Jure who is only a small bit away from falling out. He is waving so sweetly 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰. Look at his big smile 🥰🥰. And Kris who is holding onto Jure because we don't want him to fall out. Jan has such a soft smile 🥰🥰🥰.

Awwwwwww look at all those smiles 🥹🥹🥹🥰🥰🥰. So vibrant and warm. Wow you can even see the outfits!!! DETAILS!!! And with how small they are in the whole piece is impressive. Like wow 🥹🥹🥹🤯🤯🤯🤯.

This is such a adorable art style, the fact that this is mostly yellows (👀👀 are these yellows and purple for Nace, who has such a big and sweet smile 🥰🥰🥰🥰) and yet you can still see all the details in their outfits.

Enough time

"Fine," I state avoiding looking at Moreau, I know she's right but I don't want to give in, let her know that too. Also, because what would happen when I got my eyes on her was pretty stupid. My heart would be the first to react making my hands feel cold, my feet light due to the blood rushing aimlessly through my body in a way I'm sure Moreau can hear or feel.

I'm not sure how it goes, still something that makes me curious, something I want to learn from her. How does her powers work? How is she doing after reliving that scene with her sister? Where did she grow up without a phone? Did she get an insta yet?

There's too much to talk about, not enough time.

Since the beginning of the semester, everything has gone too fast, non-stop, it's hard to think forward and process feelings. It's just fighting and fighting, ranks, interviews, woods. I wish I could pause, steal Marie for a few hours to sort it out, only for us. There's a secret lab in school and fucking Brink was in on it, Luke died for it, and in the middle of it all, I still wonder if she likes me as him or as them?

"Fine." Moreau's voice caught my attention, forgetting I shouldn't turn to her, I did, just in time to see her eyes rolling. The smile that came to my lips was unstoppable. This is simple. I watch as she looks back at me and shoots a bright smile. This can be simple. One step, two steps, three steps, and my hands are on her face, caressing her cheeks, I can feel her eyes traveling through my face. Closing the gap, I kiss her, taking whatever small moments like this allow.

There'll be enough time for us.

"tal vez. son cosas que se aprenden con la experiencia, pero siempre es importante prestar atención a lo que te rodea" eso le decía su abuelo mientras crecía porque la mejor manera para terminar extraviado era no reconocer donde ya se había caminado antes. centra su atención en las facciones ajenas mientras escucha aquel relato y entonces asiente con un leve movimiento de cabeza "ah, ya entiendo… lamento que tu nueva experiencia no sea mucho mejor que eso" sabe de sobra que los bosques no son para cualquier persona y su simpatía es genuina porque no puede imaginar lo abrumador que podía ser que te introduzcan en un ambiente tan distinto de buenas a primeras. "¿necesitas algo, por cierto? ¿tienes comida o agua suficientes?"

"suenas como uno de esos expertos." o en su defecto como una persona con gusto por aquel pasatiempo, no lo sabe, es sólo la impresión que le dio tras escucharlo hablar. "parece mucho trabajo como para aprenderlo de un día para otro." frunce el ceño con suavidad, imaginando lo que sería de ellos si quienes les guían desaparecieran para dejarlos a su suerte con nulo conocimiento de cómo moverse entre los gruesos troncos. "fui un par de veces con mi padre, digamos que no supo despertar mi interés en el tema." admite con el fugaz recuerdo de las noches bajo las estrellas aún fresco en la memoria, como si no hubiesen pasado años desde aquellas experiencias. "no aprendí nada, pero a él sí le gustaban todas estas cosas, tenía un gusto perturbador por la caza."
