"Back again?"

Lando's voice floats through the office, quiet on a Friday afternoon.

"You know me, tech-nologic-ly challenged." He butchers the pronunciation on purpose, just like he does every other time he comes by.

Oscar can hear that he's smiling, probably flashing a quick wink to the women sat nearest the doors. And, just like most other Fridays, he hears the confident tap of his overly-expensive shoes on the short-pile carpet, growing nearer and nearer, until:

"Fancy seeing you here, Mr. Piastri." Lando pokes his head into his cubicle entryway, a sharp smile on his lips.

"Most people stay at their desk while they're working, actually," Oscar replies, spinning his chair around to look at him – watching him step into his space with an exaggerated stride, laptop gleefully extended Oscar's direction.

"Can't work like this, can I?"

"Is it turning on?" Oscar furrows his brow, rolling forward a bit to take it from Lando's hand.

"Nope," He's still smiling, popping the p like some chipper little kid. "If only someone knew how to fix it," He crouches down next to Oscar's desk, looking up at him with pleading eyes.

Oscar tries to shoot him a withering glare, placing the laptop next to his keyboard. He tries, really he tries, but when Lando flutters his lashes at him like that – when he's wearing that pale pink shirt that makes his skin and eyes look so bright, it's just.

God, it's a losing battle, isn't it?

"You didn't spill coffee on it this time?" He asks, already sounding more resigned than standard-politeness would allow. But it's Lando, after all.

Case in point: Lando gasps in offense, furrowing his brows and laying a hand over his chest. "I've never –"

"Yeah, you did, mate. Last week."

"But –"

"And in… August?"

"That was –"

"And June," Oscar continues listing mindlessly, more focused on looking for his charger – mostly focused on not looking at Lando. Things don't tend to end professionally when he looks at Lando.

"Fine," Lando huffs, shifting a little closer as Oscar plugs in his laptop. "I didn't spill coffee on it, promise." Oscar can't help but smile at it, sparing Lando a glance out of the corner of his eye.

Big mistake.

He's pouting. He's looking up at him and pouting. Oscar's mouth runs dry, hands freezing – one hovering over the laptop's keys, the other still holding the charger into the port.

"Oh!" Lando exclaims, eyes going large and over-excited. "You fixed it!"

Oh. Oscar looks over at the display, the start-up functions flashing across the screen. It's one of those visits. His face flares red at the realization – one that probably shouldn't take him this long after so many weeks of their usual back and forth, and yet it hits him every time.

Just loud enough for those nearby to hear: "You're the best, mate."

He stands up, straightening his trousers with the back of his hand. And, as Lando bends over towards him – low enough to hide behind the cubicle walls – he whispers, just loudly enough for Oscar: "Thanks, Osc."

All Oscar can see is his smile, heart shaped and enamoring, before he presses a kiss to his cheek.

"See you next time?" He pulls away with a wink, grabs his laptop and acts like nothing happened – just like every other time this happens.

Oscar's cheek burns where Lando's lips grazed it, like he'd branded him. "Uh, yeah. Next time."

This is such a adorable art style, the fact that this is mostly yellows (👀👀 are these yellows and purple for Nace, who has such a big and sweet smile 🥰🥰🥰🥰) and yet you can still see all the details in their outfits.
