One Of The Boys

Lanternfamily x Lantern!Reader

Word Count: 940 Warnings: Explicit Language

Author's Note: This is pretty much based on most of my friend groups when I was a child before I became a bitter old hag who never talks unless I know people well enough. Some of you might relate. Enjoy! -Thorne

The newest human in the ranks of the Green Lantern was a weird woman. And that wasn’t just the case to the aliens of the ranks, but to the human Green Lanterns too. She was bubbly and bright and was always grinning like the sun was shining out of everyone’s ass. And she talked—all the goddamn time. Which was good on long patrols when they needed to fill the space, but God forbid they get stuck in a room with her and then there was no ending to the conversation—and surprisingly, no matter how many times someone told her to be quiet, she didn’t seem discouraged or hurt. She just smiled and said “Okay! We’ll talk later!”

Everyone avoided her unless they had to be in her presence, which would’ve been a good thing, but she seemed overly fond of the Four Corpsmen and was always around when they were on Oa. Even Kyle got tired of the overt cheerfulness and that was coming from the man who tried to make conversation with everything and be their friend.

But damned if she wasn’t a helluva fantastic Green Lantern. The only thing that annoyed everyone about her (besides her overall nature) was her uniform. IT WAS PINK. A pink suit with green jewelry and sparkles. Multiple people had told her that the corps was the “Green Lantern Corps” not the “Star Sapphires”—she merely giggled and said she couldn’t help it, pink made her feel pretty and prim.

Of course, like all good things, the guys just needed time to come around on her, and she did try to make herself more approachable to them. She studied up on architecture to make conversation with John, learned about jets and everything Air Force to talk with Hal, drank beer with Guy (well, she tried), and Kyle? She simply watched Kyle when he’d draw and compliment him on his works. Everything did change though when they invited her (begrudgingly) to one of the cookouts they threw with their friends.

Hal was glad to see that she and Barry were getting along, the only other person that talked a mile in a minute was Barry and those two didn’t seem like they were going to stop being goofy together any time soon.

As she wandered over to where Hal and the other corpsmen were standing around the grill, she greeted them with a chirp. “Hi boys!” they all smiled those polite smiles at her, and she grabbed another one of the sodas from the non-alcoholic container. “Thank you for inviting me today. I know I can be an airhead a lot,” she giggled. “But I do love to be included in things, especially cookouts.”

“Yeah well, you’re one of us,” Hal replied, handing her a jalapeño popper, watching as she popped it into her mouth with a big grin.

She chewed and swallowed. “Not really. I’m more of moral support when it comes to wielding the ring. You guys are the real heroes.” Still, that smile never deviated from her face and she glanced at Kyle. “Oh, your beer’s running low. Want me to get you another?”

“Please,” he requested, and she wandered to the beer cooler, pulling one out and popping the top. She walked back over and handed it to him; he glanced at her. “Have you picked a song yet?”

“A song?” she blinked and shook her head. “No? What’s that?”

John pointed to the phone sitting on a speaker. “Everyone gets to pick a couple songs to play. Only rule is that it can’t be explicit.” He tipped his head to the teens running around. “Kids are present.”

And just like that, her face lit up and she was practically bouncing on her heels, eyes going to Hal’s as she silently begged to go, and he sighed. “Go.”

With a squeal, she was hurrying over to the speaker, fiddling with the phone; Guy grunted. “Nice going, Jordan. She’s probably going to play some type of pop shit next.”

“C’mon, Guy,” he sighed. “We’ve been driving her hard these past few weeks to keep her head on better. At least let her play some pop.”

They all plastered smiles as she walked back over and said, “I picked three, if you don’t mind. I was going for two but then I saw my favorite song and just couldn’t help it. It’ll play after this.”

Guy snorted. “Is it Justin Bieber?”

Before she could say anything, a familiar drum beat and guitar riff echoed from the speakers and all their faces morphed in surprise as Kyle asked, “Is this the Little River Band?”

A grin pulled her lips and she answered confidently, “Man On Your Mind from their album, Time Exposure, nineteen-eighty-one.” Her expression turned bashful, and she murmured, “My mom and dad were really into the classics, so I grew up with all this music.”

Guy was practically tripping over himself. “Do you like Aerosmith?”

“I love Aerosmith!” she chirped cheerfully. “And AC/DC, and The Guess Who, and Jim Croce, and Golden Earring, and Sam Cooke, and—” she giggled. “You get the point. I love classic rock.”

“Kenny Loggins?” Hal questioned with a serious look, and she smiled.

“I love Top Gun, Hal.”

He smiled and curled an arm around her neck. “Yeah. You’re alright, sweetheart.”

Her smile was like a star, and she nuzzled into his bomber, giggling, “I’m glad to have everyone’s approval.”

So yeah, she could be a bit of a bumbling air-head, but that didn’t mean that she wasn’t accepted by her peers. In fact, she fit in with the Four Corpsmen just fine.

I have a question and it's what are the feelings you're having about the movie because it seems pretty intense 👀

Okay so to be 100% honest, at first I didn't think it was going to be as moving and heartfelt as it is.

Not only does the cast give AMAZING PERFORMANCES, literally everyone is EXTREMELY GREAT, the cinematography and the music score are just. mind-blowing. And I'm not using that word lightly.

As someone who does NOT like current Batman stories, this film left me in love with the character. Honestly. YES, it's still violent and gritty like all modern hero movies are, but it is also HOPEFUL AND HEARTFELT. It truly is a love letter to Bruce / Batman and to Gotham, and to the relationship Bruce has with Gotham.

The script just gets who Batman is supposed to be. It gets Batman, it gets Gotham and the complicated relationship between the two. The undercurrent of hope and self realization is what makes it so moving and finally a good depiction of the character that's not all about being edgy.

Yes, it's 3 hours long. The good thing about it is that the movie isn't rushed and the plot has time to develop beautifully. It's also a detective story. You have Bruce following Riddler's clues and trying to solve the case. It's less about the brutish violence and more about the intellectual part. The fight scenes are sooo well choreographed. He's not invincible. He's not infallible. Just. JUST. EVERYONE WHO LIKES BATMAN EVEN A LITTLE SHOULD WATCH THIS FILM.

Everyone checks in on Kyle. 3x04 Coda

Rosa

When Kyle woke up, Rosa was holding his hand, and she was asleep, curled up in the chair beside his bed.

There were dried tear tracks on her cheeks.

He opened his mouth to speak, but all that came out was a croak, and he found himself choking on a cough.

The sound woke Rosa up immediately, and she sprang up and pressed the call button. "Kyle? Kyle, you're okay."

"Wha- what happened?" he rasped, wincing as he swallowed. It felt like being stabbed in the throat by a thousand tiny knives.

"Jordan attacked you, he-" her breath hitched and Kyle grabbed her hand in his and squeezed.

"I'm okay, Rosa."

She rolled her eyes. "No, you're not, idiot. There's a literal hole in your chest."

"Well, that's not really accur-"

The glare he received had him trailing off. "Rosa-"

"You almost died."

"I know."

"If you do that again, I'm gonna kill you myself."

He smiled. "Noted."

Max

"Knock, knock."

Kyle lazily turned his head in the direction of the door and smiled at Max. "Come on in," he told him, a dopey smile on his face. "Hey, my hero," he exclaimed, and from Max's wince, he was probably too loud.

Max huffed an amused laugh and came to sit on the chair his mother had vacated some time ago. "They have you on the good drugs, huh?"

Kyle sighed. "So good."

Max laughed again.

"But seriously, thank you for saving my life."

Max shrugged and looked down, bashful. "Figured I owed you one."

"You don't owe me a thing, man- was just doin' my job," he told him, blinking more rapidly in an effort to stay awake.

"You go above and beyond, Kyle. I don't say it enough, but thank you, for everything- you're a good friend."

Kyle smiled crookedly. “Thanks.”

“No problem,” Max said, a little awkward, as he stood up. "Get some rest, and if you need anything, let me know."

Kyle meant to respond, but instead, he only managed to nod his head before he was drifting off.

Michael

"Michael?"

"Yeah?"

"What are you doing here?"

Michael smiled, and it was obviously fake and exaggerated. "I'm your ride outta here, doc."

Kyle rolled his eyes and slowly walked over to the bed. His bag was already packed and ready, so he made to grab it before his hand was slapped away. He glared at Michael. "What the hell."

The other man hefted the bag over his shoulder. "Wouldn't want you to keel over," he told him, and before Kyle could say anything else, Nurse Janet came in, pushing a wheelchair in front of her. She smiled brightly when she saw him. "Dr. Valenti," she said cheerfully, then patted the chair, "hop on."

"Yeah, doc," Michael said, obviously stifling his laughter, "hop on."

Kyle sat on the chair reluctantly, and Michael started pushing him. "I hate you," he informed him.

Michael just patted his shoulder. "I know."

The car ride was quiet, and maybe a little awkward. Michael didn't seem all that affected by it, drumming his fingers on the steering wheeling and singing along with the radio.

Kyle looked out the window, and when Michael missed the turn that would take them to his place, he turned to Michael. "Dude, you missed a turn there- wait, you can take this one- Michael, what the hell?!"

Michael groaned. "Look, it's not safe for you to go home while Jordan's still out there, okay?"

"So, what, you're taking me to your lair?" He asked mockingly.

"Cute, but no."

"Then where the hell are you taking me?"

"Alex's."

Alex

Alex was waiting for them outside, and he opened his door for him the second the car stopped. He offered Kyle his arm, and Kyle braced himself on it as he stepped down. When he had both feet on solid ground, Alex surprised him when he pulled him into a tight hug. He wrapped his arms around him, and Kyle heard him let out a shuddering breath. When he looked at Michael, his face probably the picture of confusion, he was surprised when he saw the other man looking at them with a soft, longing look on his face and in his eyes.

Alex pulled away and put both hands on Kyle's shoulders. “I've got the spare room ready for you."

"Alex, you don't need-" he fixed him with a look, and Kyle knew better than to argue with him, so he just smiled and shook his head.

"Okay, okay- lead the way."

Michael's back was to them, probably because he was leaving, when Kyle saw Alex blow out a nervous breath, seemingly hesitant, then spoke. "Hey, you want to come inside?"

Michael hesitated, opened his mouth then closed it, but then he shook his head reluctantly. "Can't right now. Sanders' gonna kill me if I'm late."

Alex was obviously disappointed, but he hid it well as he nodded and gave Michael a small smile. "Alright," he told the other man casually, "I'll see you."

Michael nodded, then got into his truck. Before he left, he rolled down the window. "Valenti, glad you're not dead."

Kyle rolled his eyes with a smile. "Thank you."

The bed in Alex's spare room was amazing, and Kyle groaned when his back hit the mattress. He relaxed and fell asleep almost immediately.

When he woke up, it was night out, and it took him a few minutes to fully wake up. When he was fairly confident he could stand up without falling on his face, he got out of bed and slowly walked over to the door.

The living room was dark, but he was surprised to see Alex was still up. He had his headphones on, but the second Kyle stepped out of the room, Alex's eyes were on him. He removed the headphones and stood up. "Kyle? You need anything?"

He waved him off. "I'm fine, just wanted some water."

Alex huffed. "You're supposed to be resting, Kyle."

Kyle took a seat on the couch next to him. “I'm okay, Alex."

Alex nodded. "You almost weren't though,” he said pointedly, “so you need to take it easy.”

Kyle grinned. "Aw, Manes, you do care."

Alex rolled his eyes, then got up.

"Hey, where are you going?! Alex?!"

He ignored him.

Kyle leaned his head on the back of the couch and stretched his legs out, putting them on the coffee table, and closed his eyes. Seconds, or maybe minutes, later, something cool touched his face and he jerked. He winced at the movement, and Alex rounded the couch and sat beside him, hand on his back. "You okay? Shit, I didn't mean to-"

"I'm okay, I'm okay- that was a dick move, though," he said with a mock glare.

He handed him the glass of water. "You sure you're okay?"

"Yes,” he answered, then, "So-" Kyle dragged the word out, "Michael."

Alex raised an eyebrow. "What about him?"

"What's going on with you two?"

"Nothing's going on," Alex said with finality.

"Now that's not true."

Alex rolled his eyes. "It is. I don't think there's anything there anymore."

Kyle's mouth hung open. "Bullshit," he retorted, "I see the way you two look at each other, there's no way you're-"

"He's not- he doesn't want to be with me anymore," Alex interrupted him.

"How do you know?" Kyle asked him, genuinely bewildered.

Alex clenched his jaw and for a second, it looked like he wasn't going to say anything, but then his shoulders slumped and he leaned back. "You really wanna know?"

"Yes, Alex, I really wanna know."

"You know, according to Isobel, Michael's changed after that night," he mentioned, "said one minute he was like a live wire, the next he was settled. Alex," he waited until the other man's eyes met his, then continued, "whatever it was that you said? It meant more to him than you think."

Alex closed his eyes, and nodded, the movement jerky.

"I'm curious, though, what did you say to him to make him do a 180?"

"None of your business."

"Oh, come on, man."

Alex gave him an unimpressed look. "What's going on with you and Isobel?"

Kyle could feel a blush coming on, and he cleared his throat. "Nothing's going on."

"Aha."

"What? I'm serious! There's nothing going on."

Alex nodded mockingly. "Of course not."

"Fine," Kyle huffed, "maybe there's something there."

Alex nodded, satisfied. "Do you want to talk about it?"

Kyle hesitated. "Can we watch something instead?"

Alex nodded immediately. A couple of minutes later, the sound was turned on low, his head was on Alex's shoulder and he was dozing off.

It was the safest he'd felt ever since he woke up.

Isobel

"Well aren't you two adorable."

"Isobel. I thought I told you to knock," Alex said, words flat.

Kyle closed his eyes tightly and hoped to fall back asleep.

"Michael doesn't have to knock," she reminded him.

"How do you- right, well, you're not Michael, so I'd appreciate it if you knocked next time."

"Fine," she muttered, then her tone noticeably softened, "how is he?"

Kyle was suddenly wide awake, he just wasn't sure when to make it known.

"He's doing okay, considering."

"Good."

A hand on his shoulder had him opening his eyes. "Morning," Alex said, "we fell asleep sitting out here."

Kyle opened his eyes to slits, and only barely saw Isobel take Alex’s place beside him. He winced as he sat up gingerly, and a slim arm slipped around his shoulders to help him sit up. The smell of expensive perfume, something fruity, and rain wafted towards him, and he had to resist the urge to slump into her arms and bury his face in her neck.

"Kyle?"

"Hmm?

"You okay?"

He gave into the urge and leaned forward into her arms. "I am now," he muttered, already halfway to sleep.

Strong arms wrapped around him tightly and delicate fingers ran through his hair. "I'm glad you're okay," she muttered into his hair.

Kyle smiled and drifted off.

"Well aren't you two adorable."

Isobel huffed. "Shut up, Manes."

Liz

Kyle put the heat on low, letting the soup simmer and made his way back into the living room.

He was bored out of his mind, staying here in Alex's home alone, and watching TV all day, and most of the night.

He was rarely alone. Max, Isobel, Rosa and even Michael made sure of that, but being cooped up in a house that wasn't even his own was doing a number on him.

Alex was rarely home, too, and being here when he wasn’t felt wrong somehow.

Kyle, despite his friend's assurance, was worried about him and what he'd gotten himself into when he joined Deep Sky.

He grabbed a glass of water from the kitchen, then made his way to the living room and was just about to sit when the doorbell rang.

Kyle groaned.

When he opened the door, he was surprised to see Liz on the other side. "Liz?"

She all but tackled him, though she somehow managed to be gentle about it.

"I'm so glad you're okay," she mumbled into his chest as her arms tightened around him.

Kyle smiled and hugged her back. "What are you doing here?"

She pulled back. "Checking up on you, Kyle."

He eyed her, and when her eyes shifted to the side, unable to hold eye contact, he knew something was up. "You're hiding something."

"It's not important. Right now, I'm just here to check up on a friend."

“Liz-"

“I'll tell you when everyone’s around to hear it, okay? Please, Kyle- I just…” she trailed off, unable to continue.

Kyle wanted to push, but the desperation on her face had him biting his tongue.

“Okay.”

She blew out a relieved breath.

"So, having aliens as bodyguards- how does it feel?"

Kyle rolled his eyes. He went into the kitchen, and she followed him. "Well, Isobel is practicing her newfound powers on all of us, but mostly me, so that's been fun. Your- Max and the whole handprint and the connection thing is kinda weird."

"How did that work, by the way?"

"Isobel's mind voodoo."

"Ahhh, got it," she nodded, accepting her cup of coffee. She but her lip, “Max? Is he okay? His heart?”

“He says he’s okay, doesn’t feel any different, but until I can examine him for myself, I can’t say for sure,” he explained gently.

She nodded, and the worry on her face was like a flashing neon sign, even though she was trying to hide it.

“And Michael?"

Kyle rolled his eyes. "He's moping."

She grinned. "And why is that?"

"Cause he's in Alex's house almost every day, but Alex isn't here."

She raised an eyebrow. "Alex and Michael, huh? Is that a thing now?"

Kyle frowned. "I mean, it's always been a thing, but yeah, I think they're headed towards something- even though neither one of them will admit it." He cocked his head to the side. "You didn't know?"

She shook her head. "Bits and pieces. Never really talked about it. I'm surprised you know, actually."

He shrugged. "I just asked."

She bit her lip, and he saw something akin to guilt on her face before she took a breath and nodded. "Seems like there's a lot of bridges I need to mend here in Roswell."

Kyle blinked at her, uncomprehending. "Wait- you're staying?"

She nodded, smiling widely. "I'm staying."

Malex

Alex came back two days later, at one AM, looking worn out and unhappy. Kyle was as surprised to see Alex as the other man was to see him.

"Hey, man," he greeted him tiredly, "what are you still doing up?"

He lifted the tub of Ice cream. "Couldn't sleep. Are you okay? You look tired."

Alex just shrugged, then came to sit beside him. Kyle offered him a spoonful of Ice cream, and watched him eat it slowly.

"Talk to me," Kyle prodded him gently.

"I'm okay. You need to focus on-"

"Talk to me," he repeated firmly, cutting him off.

"Boss is giving me a new assignment."

Kyle nodded thoughtfully. "And?"

"A month with no contact with any of you. I don't know how-"

"A month?"

Kyle and Alex both turned to the door and were surprised to see Michael standing there. "Michael-"Alex said, only to curse when the other man turned on his heel and all but ran out the door.

To his surprise, Alex followed, though he was considerably slower, and was favoring his right leg.

Kyle made a mental note to ask him about that.

He didn't intend to, but from his seat on the couch, he could see them out front, arguing. This went on for about a minute, then Michael walked away, and Alex said something that had him turning around, his expression thunderous. Another argument that lasted considerably longer, then, by some miracle, Michael's shoulders slumped and Alex seemed to relax. Michael's hand found its way up Alex's arm, then his shoulder and finally landed on his neck, and he pulled Alex in for a hug.

Kyle had never seen either of them this vulnerable. They were holding each other so tightly that there was barely a silver of space between them.

The last thing he saw before he got up and went into his room, giving them the privacy they needed, was Alex moving away, but only enough to rest his forehead on Michael's.

Kyle smiled.

Yeah, these two were headed towards something, for sure.

So I just finished episode 8 of superman and lois season 2, I know I'm like two months behind everyone else, but I needed to get my thoughts out there.

So I overall really liked this episode, Sam is the best dad. I loved watching Lana and Kyle's relationship develop after what happened at the Quinceanera. I loved pretty much everything Jordan did, helping his brother and ditching that weird dinner with Sarah and Aubrey. (You guys were right, what was Sarah thinking? It was super funny to realize there was no extra context, the spoilers I read for that were spot on.)

I mostly just don't like for Clark is handling Jonathan. I appreciate that Jon gets online classes and he now works at that convenience store (where that one girl who thought he was cute worked!) but Jon is still a good kid, and I think Clark should maybe just let him handle the consequences to his actions and stop bashing the poor kid with how disappointed he is. The first scene at the table was hard to watch, Clark really pushes it in how disappointed he is in a way that makes Jon thinks his dad maybe hates him. Like, I think that's what Lois should have said at the end of the episode. "Clark, don't let this go on too long (because the kid already thinks his father hates him.)"

I just wonder if this is a mischaracterization of Clark, because I really did not expect him to react to Jon this way, about anything.

I realize this is old news to everyone and I don't really have spoilers for episodes 10 and 11, so maybe this has all been resolved. But, my feelings about this are still complicated. I hope Clark realizes what he's doing to Jon, and I hope someone gives that poor kid a hug.

And also I guess Lucy is blatantly evil now, and my heart breaks for Sam.

Biggest takeaway I had with Thorne's GL is if you're gonna bash a character (Hal Jordan) for "stealing the spotlight" of another character (John Stewart) & trying to "right wrongs" about it you should probably back it up with something amazing & worth it instead of benching 2 popular Lanterns (Guy, & Kyle), Regressing development (Simon, & Jessica), & just Doing "Good Guy Parallax" for John.

Yeah, dude rode in on a particularly high horse of "Hal is overrated" and "I'm going to write the best John story" and this arc really didn't live up to any of that. Hal's bit in the last issue was one of the more decent parts and everything else was just messy as all hell.

Not that he's the only comic writer who talks the big talk without the big walk, but this was such a disappointment. And probably didn't help the downward spiral GL has been on lately.

Thoughts on the 8th episode!

The fact that not a single person in a confessional said they felt bad for jordan shows how much hes trash to all of them.

Props to jordan, but the sob disability story when he made fun of mental disability is....no.

AKA Jason is absolutely oblivious to his own hotness AU, AKA the Batfam is being tortured by Jason’s admirers AU, AKA half the Justice League is in love with Jason AU.

God this thing got huge, lol, here’s the whole thing from the beginning.

It started with this older post from a while ago: “All batkids, confused by their teammates crushes on Jason”

But then it got revived in a post by @whumpbby: “Damian just found out Jon has a crush on Jason”

This is where it jumped from just the batfam to the superfam: “So almost everyone has a crush on Jason, right?”

Here’s to 2020!

Rounding up a week in Hollyoaks (30th December 2019 - 3rd January 2020)

It may be a new year (and a new decade) but some things stay the same. Darren is still pining over Nancy, the Hollyoaks police force are still incompetent, and Breda still hasn’t been caught. As New Year’s Eve kicked off, Charlie confronted Nancy over her supposed affair with Darren, the affair that Darren had demanded he keep quiet about. Nancy was horrified by Charlie’s accusation and promised her nephew that nothing was going on, before heading off to The Hutch for her new year party. Whilst there, she confronted Darren over the state he’d gotten Charlie in to, leading to Darren referring to him as a stupid kid. However, both were unaware that Charlie had snuck into the kitchens, having taken up the dare that Leah had set Ella to steal something. Furious, Charlie returned home with a huge tub of ice cream and Darren’s credit card, which he used to buy a whole load of virtual currency for his game, much to the delight of Leah and Lucas, and the horror of Ella.

Meanwhile, downstairs at the Osborne’s, Brooke, Ollie, Imran, Juliet and Sid were also having a gathering, with Sid and Juliet making plans to sneak off and sleep together. However, Juliet was beginning to have second thoughts, and Sid stormed off when she voiced her concerns. Brooke attempted to comfort Juliet but was left shocked when her friend planted a kiss on her! Whilst Brooke was left confused by the kiss, Juliet quickly tried to brush it off as nothing and soon left to look for Sid. Over at The Dog, Sid was buying drugs from his cousin, Jordan, but was spotted by Ollie and Imran. Luke soon arrived on the scene, and realising what was happening, tried to convince Sid not to throw his life away. Sid decided to make up with Juliet, and the pair headed back to the Lomax’s to sleep together.

At the Hutch, another party was taking place, as Nancy had gathered the Mum’s of the village for their own new years bash. However, Nancy soon put a downer on things when she decided to tell Mandy about her fling with Darren. Mandy was left devastated by the revelation and, the following day, headed to The Loft with Cindy to let her hair down. When Mandy realised that underage Sid and Juliet were in the club, she attempted to take Juliet’s drink from her, leading to the teenager spiking Mandy’s drink with ketamine. Mandy awoke in the village the next morning with no recollection of how she’d got there. Mandy struggled to piece together what had happened, and was left terrified when she found a wad of cash and a note in her bag, demanding that she keep quiet about what she’d seen...

Elsewhere, Breda decided to take up Jack’s suggestion of a move to Portugal, much to the shock of both families. First, however, there was the small matter of Breda framing Mercedes for her killings. We know that Breda has been collecting ‘evidence’ to implicate Mercedes over the last few weeks, and this week, she collected the last of it; the buttons from Glenn and Carl’s jackets. Under the guise of dropping off Christmas presents for Curtis, Breda was able to gain access to the Donovan’s flat and, whilst Grace’s back was turned, she pocketed the dolls she’d made for Curtis and Bobby. However, as Breda hid her evidence box under the floor back at home, she was interrupted by the return of John Paul. Worried that John Paul was onto her, Breda needed to escape quickly and so wrote an anonymous confession on the back of one of Bobby’s drawings and left it on DS Cohen’s car. With the wheels in motion, Breda went to meet Jack, but was left furious when he revealed that he couldn’t leave Darren due to the problems he and Mandy were facing. With her plan unravelling, Breda decided to take revenge on Darren, by stabbing him! Although, surely Breda should be pleased that Jack is being a good Dad and putting his son first? Then again, why am I looking for logic in this storyline?

In other news this week, Yasmine was delighted when Tom asked her out whilst Sienna was clearly struggling with the fact that Brody and Liberty had slept together. Finally, as the residents of Hollyoaks welcomed 2020, we got a glimpse into the future. It seems 2020 is going to be a very dangerous year for some of the village’s youngest residents...
