I ordered dates online a few weeks back in an effort to satisfy my sweet tooth. Reeses pieces and M&M's are my downfall, so these are a much better choice for me. Today I'm soaking some of these Ugglies by Joolies to make date syrup because I've recently run out of pure maple syrup. Waffle Wednesday. I was undecided on what to have for breakfast this morning when I realized it was Wednesday and @lemonkitcheneats has Waffle Wednesday's so I needed waffles!!

I used @kodiakcakes buttermilk mix with a spoonful of cake pop @americandreamnutbutter almond butter in place of the oil.

Topped with more cake pop, date syrup, pomegranate, and UNREAL gems.

The date syrup tastes fantastic and I wanted to try it on waffles out of curiosity. While it did taste great, I'd have to stick to maple syrup for waffles. It's a texture thing.
