Anyone up for some peanut butter cup oatmeal and a great cup of dark roast coffee?
Don't forget the supplements for a good balance of mental and physical wellness. I'm a bit paranoid and talk to my doctor before taking anything new due to a heart condition caused/aggravated by certain medications and she approved. Of course, these were approved but had to be safe. Anyway ...
This @xeelafitness peanut butter cup travel pack, yeah I didn't use as suggested per usual, but it was soooo good in my oatmeal y'all! I definitely want more of this one but I also have a banana split and a sundae one to try out. Paired with this @panerabread dark roast coffee and my @masonnatural supplements, it was a well rounded #postrun meal. That wind chill out yonder is killer.
A question for runners in cold places; any tips for running in sub 0 windy conditions? I hear that I shouldn't be out there often enough but if the roads aren't too slick, as long as the Lord gives me the health to get out there, I wanna.

Yep, I'm already having peppermint mocha iced coffee!
I'm a have what flavor you're in the mood for even though "seasonal" flavors are limited time flavors πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ. Had to have this as soon as it was available too.
My candy cane looks sad; it's from last year and they really didn't make it but I found one that almost wasn't too messy 🫣.

If an egg on a sloppy joe is a thing then why not sloppy joe on scrambled eggs?
Being in the mood for something different for breakfast and having this leftover turkey Joe, well one thing led to another ... and let me tell ya, it was actually pretty delicious. I topped it off with some lactose-free extra sharp cheddar and a little bit of my @tannenbaumfoods botanical hot sauce, the one with red pepper.
On the side had an eggplant that was sauteed with onion and garlic. It was really good. I actually let the eggplant sit with some sea salt for a few minutes to draw out the extra water and I really liked it like this It was much better than the way I usually do it. Of course this is some of the last eggplant from the garden for the year so I figured when I enjoy it with breakfast.

Turkey Joe Wraps for the win!
So, I haven't used ground turkey very often and it's been years since I last did so but we were using it in our healthy kitchen class so I thought why not try experimenting with it at the house. This is how I made it:
#dEats
1 lb ground turkey
1 medium onion, diced
Pinch sea salt
2 (or maybe 4-5) cloves of garlic, minced
1 can tomato sauce, 15oz .. I used crushed because I forgot the sauce, it worked
1 tbsp red wine vinegar, I used white
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp mustard (or 1 tsp dry mustard)
(Optional ingredients to add at the very end of cooking: chopped jalapeno & hot sauce)
🍽️ Heat pan over medium heat; add turkey, onion, and a pinch of sea salt. Cool until the turkey is no longer pink; about 6-8 minutes.
🍽️ Add garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes.
🍽️ Add everything else, except for optional add-ins; bring to simmer and then reduce heat.
🍽️ Cook for 10 minutes, uncovered.
🍽️ If adding heat, add at the end of that 10 minutes when just about to pull it off the heat. If you like your pepper cooked, add it to the pot when you add the garlic.
🍽️ Enjoy on burger buns or whatever you have 😁.
It's a bit different than the recipe which inspired it but I really like it. This will make 4 meals for me and don't plan on going back to the store just for buns; I'm sure there're other ways to enjoy it with what's in the pantry.

Do y'all put anything special on your sloppy joes? I love adding mustard, pickles, and cheddar, lactose-free. Someone once made me one like this and I've been hooked ever since. I used @clevelandkitchen kimchi pickles on this and it was so good! Y'all gotta try it.
This Rise London Fog Nitro Oat Milk Earl Gray Tea was pretty tasty, not my favorite from Rise but not too bad either; had been wanting to try it and thankful I actually had the opportunity to; love trying new things. Thank you @nonpareilparade πŸ™Œ.

Just having some fun with my proats!
So, I typed up everything and then the app crashed and it's all gone. 🀬 Anyone else have this problem?
Anyway, these are chocolate birthday cake overnight oats. I've made the birthday cake oats before but this time I added chocolate protein powder rather than the vanilla. So good. There're plenty of different recipes but this is how I made mine:

β…“ cup rolled oats, I used @naturespathorganic organic oats
Β½ tbsp chia seeds
β…› tsp almond extract
ΒΌ tsp butter extract
About Β½ tsp vanilla extract
(You could probably just use a birthday cake extract; sure that's probably a thing, right? πŸ€”)
Pinch sea salt
1 scoop chocolate protein powder
Flax milk to cover, roughly β…“ - Β½ cup, I usually add more when I'm about to eat it so it's pretty much to taste
πŸ₯£ Mix well and soak overnight.
Toppings:
Banana
Confetti cake pop almond butter #AmericanDreamNutButter
Birthday cake crunchy cookies
Raspberries picked right before breakfast
And Halloween sprinkles because I think they're fun!
Would you try this craziness? I really enjoyed this bowl and would definitely make again.
Side note: I sped up this reel, forgot to show what I was putting in πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ. And I don't like cold oats so I leave them on the counter; probably wouldn't if I was using dairy. Sometimes I even warm them up a tad on the stove. What do y'all prefer?

How do you personalize your ramen?
My must-haves change with my mood and what's leftover, like was the case with these green onions and boiled egg. And since I don't like eating the yolk not mixed in with the whites, I load them with hot sauce; they go down this way and tastes great with the right sauce. Then there's the sesame seeds. The black sesame seeds are all I have at the moment. The red pepper was for decor; I did not make the mistake of eating that whole again 🀣.
My first bowl of the spicy red miso @immieats ... so good! Have y'all tried this one? I love this ramen with it's unique texture and high protein; this one has 21 grams. And so far, they taste great!

White chocolate toasted marshmallow in home brewed bold cold brew. This is the short version.
Mig sniff tested, post-run hat head, and all that jazz. I just love being able to find, and experiment with, great tasting lactose-free, low sugar options. I'm kinda picky when it comes to certain things; I don't want my iced coffees overly sweet and I am lactose intolerant so of course, I don't want lactose.

Pumpkin power cake stack anyone?
Protein packed pumpkin pancakes using just 3 ingredients.
I like using the method on the back of the box with an egg and milk for added protein but you can just add water to this mix if you want. I didn't add the extra protein powder I usually add this time! Kept it quick and easy by following directions, almost 🀣.

1 egg

I love these @kodiakcakes pumpkin pancakes. This was the first time I remember trying them; I'm kinda picky about pumpkin spice flavored food and drinks and I gotta tell ya, the seasonings used in this were just right for my tastes. Not overwhelming in other words.
I know that pumpkin isn't for everyone but I'm definitely a fan of these Kodiak Power Cakes.
And raspberries from the garden. First time I got more than 2 at a time this year but the blackberries did better. Last season was the opposite. Odd how that works lol. Blessing either way.

Banana bread oatmeal anyone?
This @eatpropergood banana bread oatmeal is one of my favorites from Proper Good. So, what had happened was, I just didn't feel like what I had prepped for breakfast, (leftover chicken sausage, egg, and cheese wrap,) but thankfully, I'd just ordered some more of my favorite Proper Good meals. They're available at Walmart too but we don't have many options here. Location, location, location, and all that πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ.
Choose this one because of the banana bread too. Couldn't resist adding a thin slice on top 🀣. Also on top: sliced banana, frozen blueberries, cashew butter, hemp seeds, and sprinkles, natural coloring, solely for the purpose of a small pop of color, and because they're fun I reckon. The bag of sprinkles was on clearance and the dye free stuff is usually more expensive so I had to rescue it.

Would you try this @real_mushrooms cold brew?
I'm not sure what to call it; functional shroom coffee? Anyway, I am trying out this new tremella mushroom extract powder and of course, I had to try it first in coffee. It was actually pretty good. I always expect to taste mushrooms when I try something like this but I didn't taste anything that tasted like fungi lol. I need to make some more cold brew; now that I have this cold brew system, separate from the coffee station that is, I'm making homemade cold brew a lot more 😁.

Would you try this S'mores Banana Bread?
Ok, bear with me as I experiment on bread, which I haven't done the last couple years so I am a bit rusty. Wasn't an expert then and I'm still not 🀣, but I did enjoy this, my second attempt, a lot better than the first.
If you see the card in this sped up reel, that was my note card from the first round but this one is different, and better in my opinion, than the first. Here's how I made this one:

Wet:
3 bananas, mashed
1 tbsp maple syrup
1 egg
ΒΌ cup peanut butter, I used gimmie s'more
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
Β½ cup milk, (I used 1 tbsp hazelnut milk concentrate & Β½ cup water here because I forgot to soak the oat groats)
Dry:
1 cup ap flour, I used Einkorn flour, love it
2 scoops vanilla protein powder
1 tsp (or more 😁) Ceylon cinnamon
1 tsp baking powder
Pinch sea salt
For topping:
Chocolate, I used @hukitchen hazelnut bar and snacking gems
Marshmallows, I used Dandies
πŸ₯£ Preheat oven to 350Β°F. (I used the bake setting on the air fryer.)
πŸ₯£ Mix wet and dry ingredients separately and then combine.
πŸ₯£ Transfer to loaf pan, nonstick or made so.
πŸ₯£ Top with chocolate.
πŸ₯£ Bake for 40 minutes, checking on it towards the end as all ovens cook differently.
πŸ₯£ Carefully remove from oven and top with Mallows.
πŸ₯£ Broil for a couple minutes to toast the marshmallows.
πŸ₯£ Carefully remove and allow to cool before cutting in.
You should have seen the first one 🀣. This one tastes good if nothing else. What should I experiment with next?
