What do you think the point of the Black Swan is? They hinted that it is “world peace” or “defeating the Neverseen”, but we don’t even know what the end goal of the Neverseen is.

Based on my understanding of the series, I would say the point of both the Black Swan and the Neverseen is a fair society. They were both formed in response to injustices they saw in their world--e.g. the pyrokinetic ban, the treatment of talentless, the othering of twins, etc.

Boths end goal is a better society that treats people appropriately--the difference is what each group thinks "appropriate" means and how they think that goal should be achieved. The Black Swan is less aggressive, more wanting to work within the system as much as possible. They're go around it out of necessity, but would prefer to fix things from the inside. The Neverseen want to take over and start fresh, raze things to the ground and build up a new system, their system.

I don't think the Black Swan was ever formed with the intention of fighting the Neverseen, so I think they're unprepared for it. It's become a goal recently because of the Neverseen's actions getting in the way of/targeting the Black Swan, but the organization predates this conflict and was formed on a different premise. Their methods aren't intended for violence and fighting the way they're engaging with now, they were meant for systemic, professional change. More diplomatic and peaceful, but still persistent and unyielding.

At least, that's my interpretation and analysis of the two groups. I may very well be wrong, but I think the point of both organization is system wide change to make a more fair and just society. How they go about that change, however, is different. Does that make sense? Hopefully it does!

in the last clip, you're in the hallway of your apartment, fixing your hair in the mirror above your phone. charles walks in, finally ready. his hair is mussed in an attractive fashion, thick black glasses on his face. charles doesn't wear necklaces often, but you got him to wear a simple chain, that pokes out of the undone buttons of his dress shirt. the color of his button up matches your dress subtly, and his dress pants suits the color of his top. "very nice, mr leclerc," you comment, kissing his lips softly as he wraps his arms around your waist. he moves you from side to side slowly, like a soft lullaby. ♇ from the vampire diaries ⟶ hayley marshall, especially in the beginning, perhaps she embodied both the coquette and the bohemian. yet when she was introduced to the show, her type cast was to be the cool girl that was straight forward and didnt like drama. hayley marshall embodied the mysterious essence bohemians usually carried.

♇ from teen wolf ⟶ allison argent, compared to lydia, allison was supposed to portray the character that was the kinder and more approachable character. she was very natural and was very proud of her roots of being a hunter. but because she didnt like to follow the rule of hunting werewolves all the time, she turned to a rebel and made her own morals that the rest of the hunters followed.

♇ from daisy jones and the six ⟶ daisy jones herself. she was the very free "im just a girl" version of the bohemian. she was practically stevie nicks if she was in a show, [and im pretty sure her character and the show was inspired by the band]. she didnt listen to what other people told her to do and followed her own life. and sometimes she was hard to reason with which sometimes made her overbearing.

♇ we have game of thrones ⟶ margaery tyrell, she was clearly supposed to be the "kinder" queen compared to cersei. she liked to make people around her comfortable, like sansa and the small folk from the kingdom. she wanted them to see her as someone who is relatable and down to earth, and she was someone who easily tamed the men around her.

♇ we have 90210 ⟶ annie wilson, she was another serena van der woodsen "im just a girl" archetype. like most under developed bohemians, annie was someone who could be clumsy with situations she never needed to involve herself in. and sometimes she could be considered as someone who was a "pick me" with how much she wanted to be deemed as the cool girl.

♇ we have resident evil ⟶ claire redfield, the moment she arrived in resident evil two, she was the cool girl riding the motor cycle, the helpful character that flirts and empathises with sherry, who she finds looking for her mother. she is connected to the child and wants to protect her.

♇ we have from the vampire diaries ⟶ caroline forbes, she had a lot of phases, but in the end, especially when she becomes the vampire, she is considered by the "less annoying vampire" by the audience. even though elena gilbert is kind herself, she is more of the maiden archetype. caroline is someone who becomes down to earth, helpful to other people in the show and is always willing to lend an ear to those who need it.

♇ you series ⟶ guinevere beck, she can be considered both a maiden and a bohemian with how unaware of her surroundings she was. though to joe, she embodied the "not like other girls" persona which had him interested in her.

♇ until dawn ⟶ sam giddings, she was the athletic type of bohemian, and compared to all of the characters particularly the woman in the game, she was the kindest and most endearing one. she saw the flaw the other characters had when they pranked hannah, and was actually the one who wanted to stop it, but she was too late. she easily learned from her surroundings and was sympathetic to the animals in the game, especially the ones chris thought of harming.

♇ as i have done my research, i gathered that a lot of bohemians are are likely going to have capricorn, leo, cancer and sagittarius; in order of how much they appeared. this gives them the out-going but engaging characters.

♇ they are also going to have sagittarius, capricorn and gemini appear in their dominant signs; in order of how much they appeared. this gives them the wise but go with the flow personality type. being the type of people who learn as they interact with the world.

♇ the planets sun, venus and mars appeared in their dominant planets the most; in order of how much they appeared. this gives them the happy, understanding and engaging personality traits, someone who makes most people comfortable around them, and the mars points to them being very athletic.

♇ the element that appeared the most was fire, and this highlights their passionate side, one that does not listen to other people and interact with the world how they want.

Y/n stood in front of a mirror. It was a few hours before ‘The Devil Wear Prada’ premiere since she was invited by her good friend, Anne. Her assistant, Joli, was helping her get ready.

“I like it.” Y/n smiled to herself. This was her first big premiere, although it wasn’t her film, she still wanted to support her friend.

“Okay, oh my god, you look gorgeous!” Joli hasped at the sigh of Y/n.

“I just want this night to go great.”

“Y/n! You made it!” Anne yelled over the shouting of the photographers.

“I did, you’re my best friend, of course I was going to show up for you.” Y/n smiled and hugged Anne.

“You have to come to the after party. It’s going to be so much fun.” The brunette laughed.

“Let me remind you what happened last time you and I went to an after party. I lost my shoe and you almost got arrested.”

“I promise nothing bad is going to happen at this one.”

Something did happen that night, but it led Y/n to the greatest love of her life. Yeah, she might’ve been a little too drunk and confused her future husband with Henry Cavill, but at least she has an interesting story to tell to her future kid.

It started with a shot of tequila. Then the one shot became two and then three and so on. Not only was tequila consumed, but a waiter had brought a bottle of wine courtesy of the great Meryl Streep who wanted to celebrate the film’s success.

“Wait, shut up, shhhh,” Anne placed her hand over Y/n’s mouth. “Oh my god, they’re playing Poker Face! You have to dance with me!”

“I don’t think I can keep myself up. Where’s the restroom? I might vomit or I need to pee, I can’t decide which one.” Y/n admitted.

Anne pointed towards a hallway that had a sign pointing to the restrooms so Y/n mumbled an ‘I’ll be back’ and darted to the hallway. Like any other after party she had attended, the line to the restroom was long. The sight of the line made her frustrated so she left the hallway and walked outside to get some fresh air.

The night sky was shining. Y/n could see some guests already leaving, some women had their heels in their hands, a guy was missing his coat, Y/n even saw Ryan Reynolds being dragged by his manager. That night, she couldn’t really remember if she had vomited on ‘Henry Cavill’ or if she even vomited at all. All she remembered was that some guy had told her she had a pretty smile and gave her his number which she held onto for the rest of the night.

Oh! How could she forget! She had also shared a dance with him to a sweet melody that she forgotten the name of.

‘Can’t Help Falling In Love’ by Elvis? No, that wasn’t it.

Joly-Les Misérables

Qualifications:

Joly is a hypochondriac and uses a cane. He is in a poly relationship (this isn’t explicitly explicitly canon, but it’s fairly implied in a text from the 1800s)

if i remember correctly he's canonically a cane user (and while canes were often for fashion back then i'm fairly sure he needs his?) and also he's queer by virtue of a) all of les amis being queer and b) whatever's going on between him and bossuet and musichetta

Propaganda:

What’s cooler than an 1800s queer disabled character? Joly (aka Jolllly) is a hypochondriac and uses a cane, and is complimented well by his accident prone boyfriend. The two also have a relationship with them another woman. Despite his constant worrying, Joly is quite happy go lucky and fun, and he is a dedicated member of the revolution and very caring friend.

HE'S A YOUTHFUL MALADE IMAGINAIRE! the day before he's expecting to die (in the june rebellion) he is worried about a cold :( he is also a very happy guy and considering the book is called 'the sad guys' that is commendable

Suletta Mercury-Mobile Sit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury

Qualifications:

While this is something which only became a point in the last episode, in the finale of the show, following the big action parts, Suletta was shown to need mobility aids three years afterwards. Also in this timeskip, it is revealed that she has since gotten married to Miorine, who is another woman. Also I'm not autistic or trans but I have seen many people headcanoning her as both.

Canonically disabled by data storm infection, uses crutches on screen. Is married to her wife.

Canonically LGBTQ, as she is shown to love and later marry Miorine Rembran, a girl. Canonically disabled, as in the last episode, the Permet leads her to “lose control of her body” and even in the epilogue 3 years later, she is still using crutches and has not been able to get her body to the way it used to be before.

Suletta Mercury pushed herself to the limits of human survival at the end of the show, but survived. She's disabled and still uses crutches in the 3-year time skip. Her wife loves her and Suletta is still pursuing her dreams of creating a school.

Spoilers probably for the series. She is canonically engaged, later married to a woman, Miorine Rembran, and at the end of the series is shown to be physically disabled, with her both speaking on her physical therapy and her crutches being in several shots. Also she is written in a way that can be read as neurodivergent.

I love this character so much and I need everybody to as well. First of all, to get the biggest notes out of the way to establish why she qualifies (with major spoilers for episode 24), Suletta, after a three years timeskip, is shown to need crutches to get around a lot of the time. This fact is ultimately treated as an accomplishment on her part (/is never treated as a bad thing, just because I like clarifying this when it comes to any form of rep), since it took her some time to get to the point where she could move around at all. Also in this timeskip, the girl Suletta has been engaged to throughout most of the series, Miorine, has since become her wife, shown largely by the two of them having matching rings and Suletta's relatives being referred to as Miorine's in-laws. This makes Suletta the very first sapphic protagonist in Gundam. I've also seen headcanons or her such as her being autistic or transfem get popular. Getting to what makes me love her, Suletta, early on, is very easily intimidated in a lot of regards, largely because this is her first time actually being around anybody her age, but she's always been trying her best! She generally tries very hard to be positive and cares about those around her very much but can easily question her worth and is sometimes deterred. She is very willing to stand up and fight (usually in a literal way because she has won many mobile suit duels) when it most matters, a trait which remained consistent throughout the series, whether it's in regards to her role as a rescue piolet in the Cradle Planet short story, the drive which ultimately caused her to win the duel which initially got her engaged to Miorine in her first in-series appearance or the finale of the whole show. Suletta is somebody who has gone through a lot of hurt (especially in the series. Eps 17 and 18 put this girl through the wringer), and ultimately wasn't really raised to have too much autonomy. But despite everything, she keeps going. She's a very strong person who cares about those around her and I love her for it.

She is just the most joyful person ever who loves her wife.

Everything above applies here. Suletta is shown to still not fully able to walk well without her crutches in the shot we get of her walking in the finale, her crutches are explicitly shown in several shots, and she openly talks about how her physical therapy is going to her, now wife, Miorine. On the topic of her and Miorine, they were engaged as of episode 1 with an iconic line from Miorine of "I guess Mercury is rather conservative. That sort of thing is commonplace here." in response to Suletta responding that she was a woman as a rebuttal about being Miorine's fiancée. Lots happens, and it's not uncommon to see either one of them yearning for each other, with a genuinely well written romance that leads to a happy ending with them explicitly married.

In the final battle of the series, Suletta highly exerts herself piloting a dangerous Gundam and significantly damages her body to save her family and fiancée. It's described that she was left mostly paralyzed from the neurological overload. Three years later, she still has significant scarring and needs to use crutches as a mobility aid, and talks about how her dexterity is "recovering." This means she was also disabled during her wedding with her wife, and they're shown with matching wedding bands as they discuss her health.

Anything Else?:

There's a whole lot more in terms of their relationship, and i've basically given a seriously lightened, budget sparksnotes version of it. Also, Suletta became disabled from a crazy battle for the finale, where she unleashed a giant rainbow data storm with a rainbow glowing Gundam. (Submitter 4)

grady and kesler were best friends all throughout their time at foxfire (their friendship was even stronger after kesler got booted out before elite levels)

kesler dated juline for a bit, then introduced grady to her sister (edaline)

grady was heads over heels for her but edaline was an oblivious sweetheart

cassius and edaline previously dated

they were cute together

they broke up bc of reasons (which may or may not include a mystery sencen sister~)

grady and cassius were also really close friends for years. and years. cassius became a lot more hostile after oralie got elected as a councillor (which is part of a theory of mine that i might talk about in another post) and the two of them drifted apart

and cassius kind of insulted edaline in front of grady, which resulted in him getting mesmerized to slap himself :D

grady and edaline moved in together on the day of their 10 year anniversary of being together

he surprised her with a new addition to the animal reserve (edaline was over at havenfield 90% of her time)

So I saw that Street Fighter tier list, and I noticed that C. Viper was near dead last. I'm not too familiar with her, but I was under the impression she was pretty well-liked by SFIV standards--any reason why you dislike her so much?

I don't actually dislike her much as a character, I put her at the bottom because of how much I hate Viper's playstyle. That wasn't really a tier list for the series in general, more so about the prospecting of those characters returning (ex: I don't hate Necalli, I wrote the biggest semi-defense the dude is ever gonna get, and I still know he needs to fuck off). In Viper's case, I find her uniquely grating to watch because she spends so much time spamming feint Seismic Hammer to condition control over the opponent's jumps or canceling Burning Kick in the air to mix up her landings, and it makes it she's always doing that ringing sound all the goddamn time, at least El Fuerte's squeaky shoes and running animation are funny. Yes, it kind of is sublimely perfect that the CIA agent's playstyle consists of overtly psychologically conditioning and electrically torturing your opponent into opening up, but that lands her into a firm "fuck off forever" for me because I never want to sit through a Viper match in SFIV and MvC3 alike, or ever again. So unless they did something about that, I don't consider it a loss if she's never playable again. She probably will though, if not in 6 then in 7, but that's a headache for later.

I mean, SFIV standards were abysmally low so you could say Viper was comparatively well-received next to the other new characters, but she was never really that popular. In fact even at the game's launch Ono was surprised that players weren't latching onto Viper, despite Viper being custom-made for Western audiences

“With all due to respect to him (Abel), he’s a great character, but honestly we thought Crimson Viper would be a big hit here,” said Ono. “We got a lot of marketing data and a lot of advice from our US branch in creating that character. She was kind of custom tailored for the States and we thought people would like her.”

People did start playing her a lot more overtime because she turned out to be a competitive scene monster, but I mostly remember people being baffled and cynical when she got picked for MvC3. C.Viper was a popular moveset, but not so much a popular character, and it wasn't at all difficult for Juri to completely eclipse her, despite how hard they were trying to push Viper at first. I think you can very easily point to what Ono said as a reason why she didn't catch on that much. She is blatantly designed to appeal to American audiences and that made her more of a gimmick than a character. She is Angelina Jolie as a secret agent spy in an extremely tight-fitting pantsuit who also has superhero powers that nobody else has and that she achieves with technology. I already don't give much of a damn about most of the military/government affiliated characters in the series, but they tend to have other things going on that Viper really doesn't.

The KOF ladies she's ripping off have distinct fighting styles (and those games get to play much more loose with character design) they get to provide an interesting take on by doing it while dressing fashionably, but Viper is defined by her reliance on gadgets and gimmicks. She is a very generic videogame protagonist lady who plays like one of those hodpedodge World Tour characters, and she's not even a bad design on her own, she's just not really pulling her weight as a Street Fighter character. She represents nothing, and I don't think she has anything going on really justifies her inclusion over another character.

All that said, I actually do think Viper is a useful character to have around. I'm against her ever being playable again but, like I said, she probably will, and fine, she has a allright enough niche as a character. I am exceedingly generous to a lot of SF characters I'm otherwise not a fan of and she's a character I can talk myself into appreciating more, as I'm doing now. She's a decent POV character to drive stories around in her IV and V appearences, given her job forces her to play detective around the characters, but she actively doesn't want to fight, so she's always going to run when the going gets rough and leave the fighting to the actual main characters. Her priority is to do her job so she can go home and be with her daughter and that's all she cares about, she has neither time nor patience to care about this and she finds it frankly ridiculous that people call her gadgets unfair, when she's just trying to get the fight done as quickly as possible.

They get some good mileage out of the fact that she stands for nothing and that she is intruding somewhere she doesn't belong, that she's just punching the clock on a job she was given, that she really doesn't have any kind of beef with these people and just needs them to get out of her way and really has no stake other than survival for her family's sake, and that all the fighters detest her, whether it's because she is blatantly cheating, or because she's a pain in the ass, or because of how viciously she brutalized Cammy (not sure if that whole movie is canon still), that kind of thing.

It could be very possible that Juri ls lying, and the illustration is definitely exaggerated, but I enjoyed the reveal in SF6 that she and Viper have basically become partners in crime, that Juri considers them "cut from the same cloth", and that she has the same goal as a greedy career criminal who kidnaps people for evil organizations (which was the same thing C.Viper was doing undercover). I enjoy them mostly dispensing with the pretense that Viper is supposed to be a good person and I enjoy the series letting one of it's government/military agent characters be a bastard/ honest about the job they have.

She can love her daughter as much as she wants and even have decent enough interactions with other characters, it's not going to make her not a CIA spook who beats up and tortures people with electric gauntlets on the clock. It isn't even that unbelievable that she would wind up on good terms with Juri, not just because they're both cheating with technological assets, or because they were both working for the same guy and biding their time to backstab him, but because they both exist to break the rules everyone else is mostly abiding by, neither strong enough to attrack too much attention as villains nor weak enough that they can't match the heroes when push to comes to shove. They both had personal revenge stakes to get through (Juri with her parents, Viper with her fallen partners), and with both of their targets gone, they get to just be themselves: cockroaches trying to make off with the prize / turn a profit in a space they view as largely dominated by suckers.

Much like Mel Masters in the 6 comic, I think it's good for Street Fighter to have characters that have an agnostic/adverse relationship to the concept of street fighting, and to her credit, there is something really funny about her position. She is a James Bond in a world full of evil organizations and villains to fight, but the only way to get to them is through fighting tournaments, and all the actual heroes of the world fighting said people hate her guts for cheating and refusing to put in the work they did in martial arts that are, apparently, the most important thing in the world I guess??? She is a hypercompetent superspy who wishes she could be out there doing regular espionage stuff, and instead has to deal with superpowered fighting bozos flushing years of careful investigative work down the toilet. Born to blow up islands full of henchmen and arm South American coups, forced to step into the ring with Ryu from the Streets who doesn't even pay taxes.

An umbrella is up at their table, casting two of them in shade. You’ve been given the late seat– the seat in direct sunlight. Not that you mind. 

Exchanging greetings with your friends, you take in their state of being– Put together, ready for wherever the night may take the four of you. You like your group of friends, you know each other from a failed speed dating event that was hosted in the city. The four of you ended up outside, smoking, complaining about the lack of bachelors. Or, lack of bachelors that met the high standards strung between the four of you.

“You’re glowing.” 

Your attention is caught by Celeste where she sits across from you. Being a lawyer, she’s smart as a whip. And now, you and your post-coitus glow have caught her intuitive gaze. 

Reaching for a menu at the center of the table, you try and play it off by giving her a little hum. You already know what you’re going to have, but you look over the cardstock in front of you anyways. Something to try and act calm and composed over. 

Celeste takes a sip of her margarita. Dips a chip into the bowl of guacamole at the center of the table. “You’re all sex shiny.” 

And she’d know what you look like all sex shiny. Part of your recent beach vacation had passed with her between your legs, finger-deep within you. 

Looking around for a waitress, you don’t make eye contact with your benefit. “Well, maybe I am.” 

The waitress starts to come over, but you simply point at Celeste’s margarita and flash her a smile. She nods and heads over to the bar.

It’s not like the bunch of you are strangers to this restaurant. 

“Did things work out with Ledé?” Misha beside you, is a gentle woman with a third eye, metaphorically, and is well versed with the astrology of the galaxies. Often, she’s flown out to astrologically consult on political matters. 

“Oh, no. We went out the other day but she didn’t come over after dinner. I don’t think she was interested,” you say. 

Ledé is hot, sure. She also doesn’t have a job, living off her parents’ trust fund. And, she doesn’t like to dance. You honestly don’t care that she didn’t come over after dinner. People who don’t dance can’t fuck, anyways. 

Jolie raises her eyebrows in disbelief, all scrunched up in a bit of disgust. The overly expressive woman is a notorious fashion journalist, and travels often. It’s a rare occasion that she’s in town. “Ledé? You went on a date with her?” 

“Misha set us up…” you say, gesturing over at the woman. Taking the menu in your hand, you begin to fan yourself. 

“And it went bad?” Jolie further inquires. “She’s super into you! At least that’s what I was told last. I guess she’s not anymore. What happened? How did she turn you down?” 

You shrug. “She was just weird. Said she had something else going on. I dunno. It was weird and vague. Maybe I said something on the date that just turned her off.” It wouldn’t be surprising if this was the case– trying to recount what you even discussed turns up blank. Maybe you spoke too much about art, maybe you spoke too much about work. Maybe you didn’t flirt enough. 

Either way, a margarita is placed in front of you. You thank the server. 

“Well, she doesn’t know what she’s missing out on,” Jolie chimes in. Her margarita is one of those awful fruity ones, colored a bright orange. It matches the color of her nails. Part of you wonders if it's on purpose. 

Taking a sip of your margarita, you shrug your shoulders. “It’s whatever. The date wasn’t even that good.” 

Celeste doesn’t miss a beat, as Celeste jumps back to her original point: “Who’d you hook up with last night, then?” 

Your face warms. Last night? More like two hours ago. Taking the menu in your hand, you begin to fan yourself. 

“Um…” you laugh, a little breathless. Take a sip of your margarita. There’s either alcohol on the straw or it’s strong. “It’s silly.” 

Your friends lean forwards, waiting for you to continue. 

Another sip of your drink, this time for courage. “Do y’all remember that guy from like… Last month?” 

“Which one?” Misha asks. Which one, as if you slept around often. (You do. Joreen from HR was in your bed a week before Rex was. One was better than the other.)

“The blonde one. Rex.” (The better one.) 

“Yeah, I remember,” Jolie huffs. The brunch after that night had been a disaster— As Jolie travels to Coruscant quite a bit to report on the fashion that occurs in the city, she took up an appetite for clones in her bed. Ever since she got the bite, she hasn’t stopped. Given that troopers are rarely on Naboo and even more so rarely off duty, Jolie thought she had pick of the litter that night. When they’d left before she could beguile any of them to come home with her, it was like a wound. Watching you walk out with Rex had been coarse salt. 

You swirl the straw in your drink around. Flip your hair over your shoulder, searching for some kind of confidence. Your fingers dance over your collarbone. She’s going to crucify you. 

“Well… I ran into him today. We got lunch.” 

“And did more than eat lunch,” Jolie points out. “Well, I guess…”

“He had two lunches,” you say with a smile, holding up two fingers. 

Jolie’s jaw is on the ground. “I can’t believe you had the same one twice.” 

“Well, this is just freak coincidence. I gave him my frequency that first night and he’s never called me, so I don’t think I’ll ever be hearing from him.” 

Jolie isn’t done. There’s anguish all over her pretty face. “And a blonde one! How did you get so lucky? I haven’t slept with a blonde one…” 

“Maybe he knows someone,” Celeste says, placing her hand on Jolie’s shoulder. “Can get you in.” 

“Maybe…” Jolie turns to you, brown eyes wide. Hopeful. “Can you ask him?” Desperate. 

“I don’t have his number, he has mine,” you remind her. “And anyways, don’t you think you’d have more luck if you attracted instead of chased?”  

“Please, I attract plenty. I’m just missing the blonde section of my collector’s showcase.” 

With an eye roll, you let Jolie’s comment go. You take another sip of your drink. “I think I’m really fucked.” 

Misha furrows her brow. “Why?” 

Playing with an earring, you don’t meet their eyes. “I think I really like him.”

Your name is a gasp on your friends’ lips. Your face is uncomfortably warm, and you take another sip of your drink. 

“You barely know him!” Misha says. 

Continuing to finger your earring, you smile. “I mean, yeah. I’m sure that’s what so attractive. He’s just so… I don’t know. We sat on my couch and we just talked for a while. Not about much… But we talked and I don’t know! He just interests me.” 

“And he’s interested in you?” Jolie asks. 

“Well, yeah. I’m an attractive woman. And he seemed interested… I think.” 

“You’re crazy,” Jolie says, rolling her eyes. She folds her hands under her chin. “The only kind of commitment clones understand is to the Republic. They’re hot but I think the only independent thinking they have is in the tattoo parlor. Whatever, I’m glad you understand the commotion now.” 

Jolie’s comment irritates you, but you let it slide. “I don’t understand the commotion, I just had one good hookup,” you say, playing with the straw of your drink. “Whatever, nothing’s going to happen. I doubt he’s going to call me.” 

Celeste drums her nails on the table. “I’m sure Perfect will come along. Probably when you least expect it.” 

“What, and you expect it to be you?” Misha asks. 

You laugh and Celeste picks up her drink. “Please, I don’t have the time. Mish, you were saying you got a new contract? How’s that going?”

She joins a rebel group and then becomes a double agent??? but her boyfriend is in the group she's infiltrating???? Even after fidning out about said bf she constantly defends him??? in her journal she keeps saying that he's "misguided" (or somethig like that-i need to brush up on those scenes)

her friends start to distance themselves because she's going to be a bad match

she can't see her fiance very often because she's in the elite levels to prove her commitment to him???

and then he ends up killing her???? when she goes to confont him about being in said rebel group???

and then her memory seems over glorified —on a pedestal, seemingly perfect,

this pedestal, (which we hear a lot from Grady and Edaline) seems to make her out to be really perfect, kind, loyal, etc. we don't really know any of her flaws, or anything that would make her a fully fleshed out character which i am eating up, by the way, it's so interesting to see how a person's character and how people talk about them change after they die

Hi there. I've actually asked you a couple of questions before, but here to ask you more in the new year~

1) Do you prefer Jensen to be in a heroic or villainous role? I personally prefer the former, but I do feel as though he never gets enough time to play or develop his persona as a bad guy.

2) While he has incredible chemistry with Jared on Supernatural, who do you think has had good chemistry with Jensen in the breadth of his work and why? It is hard to match what he had with Jared, but I did like seeing him in Dark Angel with Jessica Alba.

3) Do you think Jensen will find joy this year? I understand he finds joy in working, but he should find it at home, too. It feels like a lot of the things that have brought him joy have turned into a way to monetize and profit. It's clear that people like his own wife have helped move his ego into this direction.

While he could make an exquisite villain(provided he gets private acting lessons - look at what Pamela Anderson has achieved with private lessons for example), I would much prefer to see Jensen play a hero because I deeply believe in that side of him that can bring catharsis, leadership and healing. He could inspire a generation, I truly believe this with all of my heart, he could do wonders by taking on the role of a leader, a hero. I get teary eyed just thinking about it.

None come close to his chemistry with Jared but I agree with you, Jensen and Jessica had a vibe. I’d love to see him play alongside a powerful female lead. Angelina Jolie femme fatale type.

You described it perfectly, it all seems a money grabbing game and it just makes his life seem truly limited and sad. Work seems to be important to him so I believe exploring his craft deeply could bring joy, as for his personal life, he must choose joy each day and that means being honest with himself. There is a quote from Dark Angel about Alec, something about it a painting and how on the outside it had tricks and colours but on the inside, chaos darkness.( sorry can’t remember the exact words but it’s said in the episode The Berrisford Agenda) I’ve always felt that quote perfectly describes Jensen.

am i the only one that thinks that grady and edaline are genuinely not good parents?

like, they treated brant in a horrible way for years. letting him sleep on the floor and only visiting him once a year. he could've gotten hurt, and then what? he had a partially broken mind, for god's sake! (obviously, i'm ignoring the fact that brant is a traitor, seeing as they didn't know that yet.) they let jolie get engaged at far too young an age (she was seventeen. years. old. who lets their daughter get engaged at seventeen years old???). "she was in love with brant, so they were getting married!" she can be in love with brant and still get married at a reasonable age. grady and edaline should've instead fully endorsed their romantic relationship while making it clear that getting married at the ripe old age of twenty is still a terrible life choice, bad match or not

grady is known to punch windows when he's angry. he gives sophie that boys talk as a punishment. not because he wanted to educate her or anything. he actively shipped sophie and dex, even when, as a parent, he shouldn't've meddled in sophie's affairs unless she'd come him for advice or something

edaline is a classist in the first book, and based on some things she says in the later books, it's clear she still holds these views despite being handed every opportunity to change. despite being directly related to not one, but two bad matches, she still has these opinions. yes, she's a noble, but it still makes no sense

it's subtle, but they aren't the perfect angels the fandom makes them out to be

I know a lot of people, and they themselves often draw comparisons to other famous couples, like Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson, Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, or Sid and Nancy. But the couple I think they’re channeling the most is Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton—especially with the blood necklace and her obsession with Angelina. She spent years trying to model her face after hers.

If you're familiar with Angelina and her second ex-husband, you’ll know there’s a rumor that their marriage fell apart because of a scandalous scene between him and the stunning Halle Berry. The speculation still lingers: was their sex scene in Monster’s Ball real or just acting? Ironically, in that film, Diddy played an inmate who gets executed.

I think people should be careful about who they try to emulate, because their relationship could end up in a scandal of its own. Maybe he could even lose his mind over a "Halle Berry" type—based on his past relationships and preferences, that doesn’t seem so unlikely. You know the saying: be careful what you wish for.

I had to do a little deep dive on the relationship between Jolie and Billy. I was aware of the vials of blood which is where I thought only that element M and C took inspo from. But the more I looked into I saw a lot of similarities.

The kissing and other displays of affection. M and C and them doing that tongue kiss or him grabbing her ass on red carpets.

Speaking of red carpets or paparazzi photos where they had matching outfits.

It said Angelina became a mother through this relationship, but the child was adopted not biologically hers. And that Billy later claimed although he went through that process with her, it was one of the things that led to their separation cuz he was not ready for fatherhood. This could be another parallel to M/C like with the baby and how it can potentially lead to a split.

How they met on the set of a movie and Billy was engaged to someone else and left her for Angie. Here it could be like even though M was separated from Brian she still was legally married or that C was with Sommer at the time.

I do believe in be careful what you wish for, and you lose them how you get them, so there is a possibility that Colson can find himself being attracted to another women especially if that girl is the opposite or provides him with the things that M lacks. But I don't really see that happening nor do I think it would be a good look for him if he were to leave her especially cuz of the baby.

He needs to play it safe and stick with her for about 2 years with not dating rumors of him with someone else, so he does not look like a bad or deadbeat father. Even after they split, he needs to wait or not be spotted with anyone cuz it would also make it look like he moved on to fast or did not care. He has to go to take extreme precautions like not even having girls in his music video or going to events where girls will come on to him.

Brant and Jolie were a romantic pairing in KOTLC. They started off as childhood friends, eventually becoming engaged. Brants love language manifested in writing, sending sappy love letters to Jolie when she was in the elite foxfire levels. Brant could not attend the elite levels, most likely leaving him upset that he could not see his fiancée as much. Jolie got involved with the black swan during this seperation period.

They had plans to wed, but were looked down upon by elven society, as Brant was legally recognized as talentless, deeming their relationship a bad match. They still wanted to carry out the wedding, but were never able to.

Jolie was killed in a housefire Brant set (most likely accidentally) following a confrontation between the two. Jolie and Brant were apart of two fundamentally different rebel groups (the black swan and the neverseen respectively), showing that they may have had opposing world views from each other. The black swan and the neverseen, while both against the council, disagreed on methods of rebellion. The black swan was more reluctant, while the neverseen were bold and violent. This parallels with Brant and Jolie methods, as Brant had more violent tendencies than Jolie. Jolie was briefly involved with the neverseen, but was ultimately loyal to the black swan and ended up becoming a double-crosser. The neverseen’s violence, and in turn Brant’s, was too much. This led to an argument that began the fire with her attempting to convince Brant to leave the neverseen, believing he would see the error in the neverseen’s ideology. Right up until her death she refused to see Brant as a bad person, loving him until the end.

Brant was devastated after Jolie’s death. In spite of everything that happened, he still loved her. While he faked a mind break, his sanity was most likely truly declining from the guilt of killing his lover.

Their relationship was complex, a genuinely loving couple hiding deadly secrets from each other, and ultimately being doomed by the narrative itself.
