Decided to rewatch NATLA to properly form my own takes that’s been running through my mind: (I’ll have both things that I like and dislike.) Part 1

SPOILERS!

I like it like a friend from a hundred years ago: 

First and foremost, NATLA predominantly consists of Asian American Pacific Islanders. Good for them for creating a version that is more in their lens and creativity. 

The Bendiiing. All of the elements, except for Earth, are 10/10. I really want it to be more solid, especially on AangvsBumi. It’s not that bad though, so much better than…well u know. I’ll give it an 8/10. 

I rewatched it with a Filipino dub and it’s good, 9/10. Aang VO was convincing as a kid, so either they’re a great actor or a great kid actor. The jokes (Sokka’s sarcasm) hits better on my mother tongue

The costume. The only one that I do agree with everyone else that lacks is Zuko’s scar. They should’ve put prosthetics on the eyebrow. 

Zuko’s hair? Hello? They did a great job. Even though my sister and I sing Ariana Grande song whenever we see them swaying. It’s an integral part of his story, and I loved that they keep it. There’s an East Asian culture that indicates that kind of haircut as a punishment. I remember my History teacher taught me this in eighth grade but I forgot which it was, my bad. And the actor’s such a champ for having that hair IRL. 

My favorite actor performances: Gordon (Aang) superb acting. Liz (Azula). Utkarsh (Bumi). Justin Wong (Chong/SecretTunnelguy) sounds exactly like the character. Made up for my delusional expectation that Dee Bradley Baker would be in this. Ken Leung (Zhao) pisses me off so much, and that means he’s doing a great job. Dallas (Zuko) & Iroh (Paul). DDK's(Ozai) a natural idk if that's acting /j

Was it established in the OG that Katara's intro is a folklore/legend? Because yeah, I don’t mind that it is considered that way in this version. 

AAAAA, the Lieutenant Jee younger casting makes so much sense now! The 41st division is chef kiss. Zuko cryiiiing when he was being banished!? Dallas Lui ate! 

THE HYBRID ANIMALS LOOOK SO GOOD. The ostrich horse blended well with whoever rides them. It doesn’t look CGI to me. MOMO HIS MOMONESS, MOMO OF THE MOMO DYNASTY 

Any Zuko fight choreography (MY FAVORITE CHOREO DALLAS LOOKS FIIIRE). And Aang’s too (Oh hey).

The End Theme remains the saaame, and is added with cinematic effects as well.

The folly/sound effect at the start of Episode 2. Why is this the only episode with that flair? 

Creating a grave for Gyatso.

How Ozai’s forced unity/being totalitarian is represented. Reminds me so much of our own government, it amuses me. I know it’s not directly referencing that though. It’s good that they show it early on I guess. With the Fire Nation culty greeting as well. 

On a lighter note: THE AIR SPHERE/BALL whatevah, yes! More of this goofiness. How about instead of being inspired by GOT, NATLA should be inspired by Stranger Things in terms of fantasy + childhood simplicity balanced by this trauma they're going through. (Well, ST lacks worldbuilding cause it’s just normal Earth but anyway) 

Kyoshi Takeoveeer. I hope Roku gets more screen time someday though. Pls pls pls. 

They incorporated the OG character theme songs! Of course! The ones I noticed right away are the FireNation Siblings’. So if you watched OG Avatar and you watched the scene where a mysterious girl joins the infiltration of the FN Royal Palace, you’ll know who she is. 

Sorry not sorry, Daddy Dae Kim is daddying. (Although he did catch me off guard in Zuko’s Agni Kai lmao.) The plot.

The Aang VS Zuko fight! A reference to the Fortune Teller fight. The team did so well. 

Zuko The Master of Disguise Major In Stealing Clothes. Full-time Avatar researcher. 

A fourth wall foreshadows Bumi’s OOC for this version. Jet’s "he’s not like he used to be" in line. I mean they did warn us. 

Another 4th wall is the line “Things shouldn’t be here” referring to the prototype Fire Nation balloon. 

Nice animation with the retelling of Two Lovers legend.

Lu Ten Funeral scene ate. That single teaaaar. I recommend everyone who loves the animation to watch this scene. To feel something idk AHAHAHAH. 

The actors were convincing when interacting with CGI animals. Specifically the badger moles. 

ZUKO AND IROH SCENES! 

CGI’s great did not waste any money 

In Katara’s flashback. She experienced this in her present form. And when she was so scared to go to the place where her mom was killed, she immediately changed back to her young self. Like, I wanted that so bad when I was watching the flashback. I thought, this shouldn’t be the present-day Katara. There should be a moment when she switches back to young again. And they did. 

Big Iroh-like moment that makes you cry as an adult when Gyatso was reassuring Aang that the genoc*de wasn’t his fault, and shouldn’t blame himself. Ahh, and the subtle sadness as they say goodbye. 

Random eye drawing from Zuko. He’s an artist AHAHAHAH. Okay, I forgot which episode. Sincerely, unreliable narrator. 

Showing Zuko's scar when Aang says "Do you even know that lives are at stake". 

Basically every scene/plot they 1 by 1 copy from the show. Did not disappoint (well, maybe because OG showrunners were there). Blue Spirit, Siege of the North. 

Zuko’s room. I love me some character bedrooms. He’s like a TV Sitcom character for that. 

Gaang teamwork scenes! It works and it's dynamic. 

Hahn as an honorable man? Yes. I don’t like love triangles so much. I like me some camaraderie. And Ian (Sokka) acted well for feeling included and seen as Hahn recognized his value as warrior/intel. 

Zutara fight scene.

Two points that I don’t know if I like but it makes me realize some stuff:

Meek Katara. I know there are specific plot points that Feisty Katara is needed. But she was always nurturing, so I think it makes sense she’s…meek? That Jet scene explains it. Maybe because I relate to her being a log AHAHAHAH. But yeah, uh, I do not, ironically, have strong feelings against that water down.

Angry Bumi. IDK how to feel about him tbh. I always think Bumi is…harsh like that. Almost scary. But yeah, he never blames Aang. Still, it doesn’t feel out of place here. He will return anyway so he’s not this one-dimensional character that is only angry at his friend (hopefully). I never thought of how Bumi would actually feel. And that he will be upset, and now it’s sad because that’s like your friend when you were twelve years old and you wonder where he’s been all this time, and if he’s alive. And..war..never made it any better to process that emotion. So, we got two versions, one that is cautious and then eventually welcomes him, and another who's completely angry and blames a literal kid that he does not know the pain (from the war). Too real, and I personally don’t mind.

Voyager rewatch s4 ep19: The Killing Game pt 2

It's 1940s WWII holodeck adventures part 2! The fun continues as the American soldiers join the Resistance fighters in the picturesque French village of St. Clair (aka holodeck one).

Janeway and Seven attempt to access and disable the crew's neural interfaces to the holodeck before their Hirogen captors find out, while the Americans find their way to the nightclub where the Resistance is hiding out. This leads to the unbearably cute reveal that Tom and B'Elanna's holocharacters, Bobby and Brigitte, are each other's long lost loves. When they're told to go work together, we're treated to an absolutely lovely scene of the two of them reminiscing about their romance before the war. Robbie and Roxann both fit the old Hollywood movie character types they're playing here to a T- they both have that vibe even as Tom and B'Elanna, so it's so much fun to let them totally play into it here, especially with the mutual pining their holocharacters have going on. I know I give the writers a hard time a lot, but I honestly couldn't have invented anything better if they'd asked me personally what AU fanfiction I'd love to stick Tom and B'Elanna in. His wholesome, earnest American soldier boy and her beautiful, worldly, tough dame with a soft spot for him are just so spot on. And when he pulls up that chair?? and sits eagerly leaning over the back of it, hanging on her every word?? looking at her, with her pouty red lips and her big brown eyes, like she's the most beautiful thing he's ever seen??? Ughhh I melt into a puddle of feels!! I have no ability to be normal about this subplot, I've been shipper trash for them since I was a kid, I can't help it!!

Anyway, Janeway and Seven return at this point, having been unable to disconnect anyone else. But they have a plan they need help with, and they play along with their 1940s personas so the others don't get suspicious. Janeway convinces Chakotay to come help her, and they use the hole in the holodeck wall to sneak into the ship. Chakotay, even while mind controlled, still seems taken with Janeway, calling her a good leader and a 'gung ho gal' (which Janeway seems to find amusing.) They find a way to disconnect the crew on the holodeck, which happens just as they're having a shoot out with the nazis, who take them prisoner. We get an explanation that B'Elanna's character's pregnancy is a holographic projection, which was a clever way to let B'Elanna have more to do in the story without the hindrance of having to hide Roxann's real-life pregnancy. (And lol at Tom reacting exactly the same way his 1940s character would when the German officer insults B'Elanna- dude, he's a hologram, he's not a real guy! He didn't really have an affair with her, it's not a real baby, you don't have to punch the pretend nazi for insulting your girl, especially when he's got a gun, and holodeck safety is off! But I'm a sucker for old-timey tropes like a guy defending the honor of his lady love, so I'll give him a pass for being reckless, because it's kinda romantic actually.)

Meanwhile, Janeway is injured and brought to the Hirogen leader, and tries to reason with him to let her crew go. He eventually agrees, but his second in command defies him when he finds out. The second Hirogen chases her through the ship, but Harry manages to set a countdown to overload the holo emitters. The crew on the holodeck are about to be shot by the holo-nazis, but the Doctor and Neelix lead a charge of Klingon warriors from the other holodeck simulation, and they hold them off long enough for the emitters to overload and delete all of the holocharacters. (The Doctor has some memorable and funny one-liners in this one too.)

Janeway gifts the remaining defeated Hirogen with holographic technology before they leave, in the hope that more of them can find a way to use it for their hunts, instead of hunting down real people. They don't commit, but they accept the gift, leaving a sliver of hope that they'll create a less violent future for themselves.

Tl;dr: A fun, exciting episode, that has action, drama, comedy, romance, and little featured moments for all of the main cast. There's a little bit of everything, all very well packaged together. One of my favorite Voyager stories, for sure!

Jamie hated watching himself on tv but enjoyed seeing you this excited to finish a series. One thing about you was a nonexistent attention span. He couldn’t remember the last time it was this quiet while watching anything. Usually, a million questions would be asked by now, and curiosity would boggle your mind, forcing you to skip to the end and rewatch it. Something about the suspense gave you anxiety. You didn’t mind spoilers, but when it came to Stranger Things, Jamie wasn’t allowed to spoil anything, even when you threw a fit and begged to know if they would kill Eddie. He knew better than to tell you what happened to your favorite character. He didn’t want to break your heart, but he knew this would be like when Dean died in Supernatural. You never fully recovered from that one; to this day, you still get upset when anyone mentions Castiel’s death. In your heart, they still live. Unfortunately, Jamie knew that soon you’d be scooting the two over to make room for a third, and he’d be waiting with open arms to hold you, but Knowing you; you might reject his care when you discover his character kills your beloved.

“Tricked you? No, I saved you.” 01 Softly says to 11.

Jamie watches as your eyes widen and your face scrunches together. “Don’t do it. God, why is he so manipulating? Why can’t he use his powers for good!?” You fling your arms up.

This was how Jamie knew you were no longer thinking of Peter as Jamie. You were fully engulfed in his character; maybe you’d forgive him for his treachery later in the season.

“Join me.” He says to poor little 11.

Your lips part just enough to say, “In a fucking heartbeat.”

Jamie’s laughter pulls you out of your fantasyland. You almost forgot he was sitting next to you. “You’re not supposed to go with the bad guy, darling.” He chuckles as you look at him with wide eyes and your jaw slacks like you can’t believe he would say such a thing to you.

“Jamie, I love him. I just want him to be happy. Peter deserves some contentment in his life. He’s just misunderstood and his parents should have gotten him the help he needed instead of pawning him off to a monster!” You say this with such conviction that Jamie is becoming slightly worried about your outlook on his character.

.“Love, he killed his family and a bunch of children.” He chuckles. “Don’t worry you’ll feel massive amounts of hate for him later on in the season.”

You sigh and lean your head on Jamie’s shoulder as the episode continues. “He’s going to kill Eddie. He’s a new character they kill all the new characters.”

Jamie shrugs he wraps his arm around you and your head falls to his chest. “Just watch.” He kisses the top of your head. “Just promise you’ll remember the difference between 01 and me.”

Your phone buzzes and it’s a text from one of your friends. ‘Jamie killed Eddie!?’

You push away from Jamie’s grip and look him dead in the eyes. “You killed him. You know what?” You stand up and grab your cellphone.

“Where are you going?”

“I’m going to bed. You can sleep on the couch. This is the worst betrayal, Jamie!” You pout as you start down the hall.

“Love!” He yells from the couch. “It’s just a tv show!”

“Oh, is it!? Tell that to Eddie!”

He hears the bedroom door close. He decides you’re right. The safest place for him is on the couch until you can let go of the loss you’ve experienced. He lightly laughs as he puts his hands in his lap. He stares up at the ceiling. “Why do you keep doing this to me?.”

i’m sure people have discussed this already but it’s my turn and i’m going to pretend i’m the first thanks. pls remember i have the observational skills of a potato and it literally took me two rewatches to realize william/conrad/doctor man is the one who experimented on tesla even tho it’s like, really obvious. so. onward!

The Eye of Michael and Nicholas D. Wolfwood’s, Pastor of the St. Michael’s Church, do hereby enter into the following contract with respect to their work. The Pastor agrees to faithfully perform all duties as commanded in the Eye of Michael, effective June 2nd S.E. 110, and to abide by all rules and regulations, swearing in the name of the two angels sent by God.

The Pastor agrees to receive immortal glory from the Priest William through the suffering of the Holy Angels.

In the event of abandonment of his duties, or in the event that the Executive Board determines that there is sufficient cause, the Pastor shall be permanently expelled from the Eye of Michael and St. Michael’s Church, and the family members of the Pastor shall be subject to the same punishment.

so! that’s incredibly vague. the very first thing i’m interested in is the date (fun fact, i saw this episode again on june 2nd, so it jumped out at me). we know that this episode takes place on july 21st, which is the twins��� birthday.

however, that date says the twins were born in 2455, whereas the year of the contract being enacted is S.E. 110. i have no idea what S.E. stands for, or why it’s 110. it’s not years-since-big-fall, since we also know that took place approximately 150 years ago (according to brad in ep9). even if this contract was written when wolfwood was a kid, he’s only supposed to be in his early 20s right now.

we DO get a date one other time afaik, and it’s meryl’s…resume? resume.

and THAT is…a different calendar. her birthdate is listed as PE081, making it currently PE104 if she is 23. so my current theory is that the EoM is simply running on their own funky calendar that’s about 20 years off from time-since-big-fall, and this contract was drawn up when wolfwood first joined them. which is not satisfying. i want to know the calendar. but fine.

this also begs the question of what the hell wolfwood’s alliance to the EoM is during stampede. bc he just appears out of the desert, which could mean anything. i literally can’t tell if he’s actively following orders to bring vash to knives or not. the contract kinda makes it seem like he is, but also not much else about his actions does? and then, of course, we have livio hunting him, which seems like he’s definitely on the run.

so then….what is this contract, actually. i’m second guessing whether i’m dumb right now, because all it stipulates is that he follows orders, basically, or else he gets kicked out, but wolfwood seems like he wants to get kicked out, so why….why would he follow it??

i guess it might be because of the special note, that the orphanage will be excluded from the “pilgrimage site,” and i don’t know what THAT means either but i’m going to assume “hey we won’t kidnap and experiment on orphans anymore” which would be a pretty strong motivator.

but also, it kinda seemed, to me, that the contract being signed was releasing wolfwood from the EoM, which….makes no sense.

i may be missing something in all of this, but i can sympathize with wolfwood crumpling the paper up because what IS this thing, actually. has anyone else been able to make better sense of it.

Did you create birthdaygate?

No I did not! There were already other fans pointing out birthday mentions in s4 by the time I started making posts about it! I was just joining in on the fun! I’m not sure who called it birthdaygate first though!

The whole concept of turning things into gates came about organically through bylers coming together during/post-s4, and theorizing about various things on the show!

The only thing I’ll take credit for is picking up on evidence Will is twelve in s4! I did coin the name twelvegate, in fact I am the first person to post in that tag! However, the theory that Will is twelve is something that was already a theory a while back. Though there wasn’t much proof back then, there’d been talk Will could be a lab kid going back to s1 even on Reddit and st wiki, and there’d also been speculation on here that he could be 012 specifically going back to s2-3.

Though unfortunately those fans have since become more inactive and have essentially dropped the theory bc s4 didn’t follow through how they expected overall. I honestly don’t think they’ve actually examined the s4 evidence that I or others have stumbled upon since then. Like I said their mostly inactive these days, so I think they just don’t know. I just happened to come across their theories after stumbling across the s4 evidence, which only made me feel even more confident about it! So technically I can’t take credit for discovering it, more so me recovering it and reopening the gate as twelvegate!

I also have to give credit to rainbowshipgate bc I was reading that theory when I decided to go back and rewatch s4 with a lens of ‘could one of these kids be Will?’ And that’s when I discovered a lot of the evidence Will could be twelve dominates s4, and then came across other posts from the past speculating!

I do feel sad that the people who used to believe twelvegate, before it even got that name, don’t even believe it anymore. Bc s4 was what really sealed the deal for me personally!

I could be wrong about it all of course, but if it ends up being true I look forward to reconnecting with those initial theorists about it who gave up pre-s4!! It would be cool!

currently watching: Well, there are a few Tatort episodes left on my list, and a friend recommended "The World To Come" on Netflix which seemed quite promising at first glance, so, yay, looking forward to that!

other stuff I watched this year: Jumped on the Game of Thrones/House of the Dragon hypetrain very late (and for fic inspiration purposes at first) and loved it (apart from the infamous butchering of s7/8 of course). Also, still very much in love with "Daisy Jones and the Six". Go and watch that. The characters are awesome. The music is even better. And the enemies to lovers to enemies vibes are just ... yes. Yes, please.

shows I dropped this year: Started with the new season of Heartstopper and got punched in the feels for "you didn't have that kind of social bliss at school and the comparison hurts way too much" reasons. So, thanks, but no thanks, this kinda make-belief world ain't for me anymore, but y'all have fun with it :')

currently reading: Academic stuff that takes way too long to comprehend and that makes me feel guilty for even staring at some normal novel because I should be using my time more wisely, etc etc etc.

currently listening to: That's probably hella weird, but I love the concept of apps that read texts to you out loud. It's a great way to fall asleep to your favourite fanfics, or to find typos in the stories you've written yourself because the automated voice pronounces these words as oddly as they should be, given the faulty spelling. Highly recommending @Voice for that (I think @mistofstars mentioned the app once as well, at least that's how I know of it).

currently working on: countless WiPs that involve Wilhelmine Klemm and ... varying women, also the same old Ludwigshafen stories that will probably follow me into my grave. And lastly ... a best-of edit starring some of my all time favourite comfort characters. That one will probably be finished by January (exact date tba) and be way too long to be posted anywhere, but I'll just label this as self-care then :'D

current obsession/s: Fell in love with Bremen and Hamburg and Münster (the actual cities this time) throughout the last few weeks. And I had so many lovely little moments with random strangers on that trip (shoutout to the lady in the St. Pauli-Fanshop with all her Tüddelkram, to the guy I bought my Krabbenbrötchen from, and to Renate, the old lady on her way to Stralsund who chatted to me on the train for an hour and reminded me very much of a lovely OC by @all-my-worlds-a-stage that I still hold very close to my heart). And I simultaneously loved the fact that I was travelling alone and was completely free to do whatever I wanted. Yes please. Obsessed with these kinds of connections and trips. Want more of them asap. <3

Rating whatever ST ships I can think of bc it's night (post lemon) and I'm bored

Lumax- 10/10 so poetic and beautiful the show doesn't do them justice which is SAYING A LOT romo lumax and platonic lumax have my heart

Elmax- the first ST ship I started shipping before joining fandom! 10/10 incredible beautiful drop dead gorgeous romo and platonic elmax are perfect

Hopclair- 10/10 I may currently be running on a hopclair ANGST high, but as I've said and will not hesitate to repeat, these two NEED to team up and NEED more screentime together! Romo, platonic, and queerplatonic hopclair love in my brain

Henclair- recently found appreciation for them upon season two rewatch and reflecting join season two, cute enough for a maybe 6/10 as romo 15/10 platonic

Rockie- unopinionated so 6/10 besties endgame material romo

Ronance- I can never stop thinking about Nancy comparing Barb and Robin to eachother but y'all's headcanons are cute 5/10

Stancy- you know me. I love Steve. I love Nancy. Which is exactly why I can't in good conscious dare ship them together! Nancy's whole thing of relating him to Barb's death (valid) is word on its own if you don't throw in the fact that Steve super cool dream directly contradicts everything Nancy wants in life! Neither of them should have to compromise their LIFE around accommodating the other! You can say what you want about "they still like eachother romantically" which isn't even really true imo but had it ever occurred to you that sometimes people can feel romantically and and decide that a friendship would do them more good? Which isn't to say they are super close friends either because honestly their friendship has gotten the least amount of attention by the writers. -20/10 romo and 7/10 potential friendship that we will never get to see on screen.

Jancy- I honestly could not care less whether they are endgame their unbreakable bond etc etc doesn't care whether they're friends or dating 6/10

Jargyle- 10/10 how does it feel to be the most perfect ship in the world? Pl, QP, romo, alterous, whatever it is these two mean the world to me

Stonathan- question why? I'm sure it's cute I just don't understand the origin of the hype. What's it ABOUT for y'all?

Stoncy- see above, both 5/10

Steddie- I actually like it as a ship kind of if it weren't for the fact I can't see Steve not being aromantic. Also while we're here thank you if you've stopped cross tagging because I'd I look up Erica Sinclair In not looking for Eddie x Reader fics 6.5/10 romo

Boyce- wait actually this might have been my first ST ship not elmax.. anyways they're adorable and I totally hated the way they did the love triangle thing. Hopper being annoying distracted me from Bob being the coolest guy in the world.

Jopper- I guess I'm cool with them now but I was so anti jopper in S2 not because I'm invested in the love triangle I fucking hate love triangles but because Hopper was insufferable in seasons two and three and Joyce had like no boundaries in season three that got weird because ofc the writers decided to build up their canon in the most annoying way possible. Maybe they could have been an 8/10 if ST writers had fucking tried at all before season four but now they're closer to a 4.5/10 for me tbh but go back to season one where their friendship was pretty cool and they've known eachother forever and all that- super fucking sweet 8/10 points taken off because I just generally find Hopper annoying (as a person not as a character I get how he's important to the story and blah blah)

Boycer- since the suffers never ruined it I mean wrote it and I can imagine them however I want- polyamorous Joyce with her two boyfriends is a 10/10

Edissy- I genuinely thought this was a joke 2/10 romo 7/10pl

Joyren- not to be a Karen hater but I kinda hate Karen 1/10

Kargyle- I love Kali with all my heart. I absolutely adore Argyle. But I don't get this ship. Like why. 5/10 romo 8/10 pl

Kalancy- yes let women kill people! I mean I'm the scenario I imagine they are def at Kali's home not Nancy's and it's def not a healthy mindset but let's not think about that.. honestly I don't think about them at all but I guess it could be cool. 8/10 romo 9/10 pl 9/10 qp

fourgate - The foreshadowing of the number 4 in stranger things

moots who are following me for little while longer will know that I am obsessed with the number 4 in Stranger Things.

And while during all my findings I was struggling to see a pattern I think I finally cracked the code... Well mostly at least.

I will split this in parts. Because it's way easier for me to do it season for season.

Fair warning: I am just a human and as of now I didn't made a full rewatch so there is a big chance that this analysis will miss some mentions of the number 4. I tried to include as much as I remembered so just lean back and enjoy!

General

The number 4 is generally a bad sign in the show. Obviously since S4 we can connect the number 4 with Vecna/One/Henry because 4 chimes, 4 kills, 4 gates. But the number was a bad thing way before we learned about him and his plan.

This analysis will cover mostly obvious mentions of the number. Mentions meaning showing the number in for- or background or a character talking about this number. I will only concentrate on those (mostly). There are a lot of subtile mentions in the blurry background, digit-sums or as part of a number. I won't cover those (for now) because for that I would have to rewatch ST completly at half speed. And as of right now I don't have the time to do it so I will concentrate on this for now.

The number generally foreshadows something bad happening in some more or less immediate response after the mention. More or less immediate means that it can be directly afterwards but also take a while. The scenes will always be in direct connection between showing/telling of the number and the bad thing happening but it's possible that longer scenes and cuts are between the mention and the bad thing happening. (You will know what I mean)

Season 1

So let's get started with season 1. You may wonder, if the number 4 plays a huge role in Season 1. And yeah it definitely does.

The very first time the number is directly mentioned is in this scene

The party had to end their campaign and Will, Dustin and Lucas are leaving. Dustin talks about how Nancy has a stick up her butt and that she used to be cool because she did dress up for campaign. And Mike responded with Four years ago.

And hopefully you remember in what bad thing this mentioned resulted.

Do I need to say more?

This is what I mean when I say less immediate. The scene with the mention is directly connected to the bad thing.

Just wanna add that there are two honorable mentions of the number 4 in this scene.

First when we get told that Will needs to roll a 13 (digit sum 4) to defeat the demogorgon and later when Will wants X-men issue 134 as reward for winning the race against Dustin.

The second Time the number 4 is very obviously shown is in E3. When "Will's" Body is found in the quarry. THIS is the reason I started to dig into this number!

Again. Every fan on here knows what comes next, don't you?

So let's get ready for the third.

Looking at this scene you may ask what bad is coming in more or less immediate context. And I get what you mean but let me explain okay.

Yes, yes I know there are a lot of things happening between Dustin saying he joined the party in 4th grade and Mike jumping from the cliff. BUT it's still in direct connection. Mike and Dustin are on their way to find El in the scene where Dustin mentions the number 4. El destroys the door in the grocery store. Mike and Dustin search for her in the woods and then they get hunted by Troy and James. It's takes it time but it's still in one context.

The one's shown above were very obvious mentions. The following one's are more subtile but I still count them for this analysis,

Yes it's not directly the number itself but 4 paws are not coincidentally. (Have tigers 4 paws I don't know). This "Mention" is resulting in the Demogorogon coming through this Wall.

Idk if you ever feel this way but sometimes it’s sad to see ppl move on from your fandom. Like so many blogs have moved on from stranger things in general or Steve and it happened with my marvel fandom too right endgame and it’s like ppl are always moving which means less content. I know there are New people joining everyday and stuff but it makes me feel so nostalgic like something this big like the marvel or stranger things or Harry Potter is no longer big anymore and I feel so weird for holding onto it. It’s kind of why I’m dreading st coming to an end ☹️

I know I’m not going anywhere anytime soon. I may not to do it right away, but when I’m finished with this rewatch of ST, I’m definitely gonna do another this year, maybe even more than once. I know it’s hard too especially when there isn’t any more content or any content for a while, but I think that’s why it’s so ST and their actors are so fun to be part of their fandom. Like for instance besides ST, Joe has his other projects he’s working on, his music, I mean like there’s always something going on. And I know there’s the same for some of the other actors! I know Finn and Maya do music as long as acting, Millie and Sadie also have other projects that’s new and exciting and even Priyah with her new movie last year!

I hope any of this makes sense as I’m still woozy from medication and just woke up LOL but I feel you anon and it’s perfectly okay feeling like that! 🥰

30 Day Fandom Challenge - Day 2

2. When did you join your chosen fandom?

I joined the ST fandom right at the beginning of August 2023, the latest episode was ep54

I heard of Skibidi Toilet multiple times from a streamer called AstralSpiff who described it as "gmod animation about toilets and those other guys fucking each other up"

That description reminded me of old gmod shitposts and Gorgeous Freeman so I thought, heck why not? let's watch a meme

BOY did I not expect the meme to turn into a cool-ass story

After I binged all the episodes in a day, I rewatched the whole thing again a few times the next few days and doodled an OC on a whim & posted it.

Then I made more art & ended up joining a discord server called Creative Alliance where I still hang out with lots of cool people and ramble about goofy funny series and OCs :D
