Summary:

Sherlock Holmes has been taught that he has one purpose in life: to carry on the family legacy. “High society is dying,” his mother continuously informs him.

The Great War recently ended, which has left London in a swivel of downfall and success.

Every year when his mother hosts the Noble Legacy Gala, Sherlock wishes he could fall into a rabbit hole and never come up, dreading the pointless event.

That is until he sees Captain Watson attending the Gala, the most beautiful, dangerous, and interesting man he’s ever met.

i am sending an ask because i finished "some day" by david levithan a few days ago!

i liked it, but... i kinda think the ending was rushed? everything else was super interesting and insightful (it's MULTIPLE POVs! 😍) but idk i feel he wanted to be done lmao. idk it's still amazing! don't get me wrong but... yeah idk... *IF* i'll end up writing an au i will probably change that (well if i would write a first part and THEN A SECOND that is. wow so many "ifs"...) i'll also for sure let you know

(honestly i got way too many wips and fic ideas already... and never seem to finish them (okay i will finish them it just takes me ages... i must be the most annoying fic writer ever) so yeah we'll see. my hyperfixation on this book series will probably have passed by then and then what UGH 🥲 )

Through this adventure, Sherlock doesn't bother to hide his palpable obsession with John while John tries to hide his growing feelings. John called Sherlock wise and thought he was very handsome, and asked him to keep telling something new so that he could immerse himself in his hoarse beloved voice.

And Sherlock spoke in a whisper, but John began to barely distinguish the words as he listened to the soft rustle of the leaves of the trees.

He snuggled up against the warm shoulder because it started to drizzle and it got really cold, but then the warmth disappeared without a trace, and Sherlock hugged him with his arms. There was something very touching and awe-inspiring. That's how love was born.
