Sen. Kelly: DOD policy prohibits discussion of even 'controlled unclassified information' on unsecured devices. Are you both aware of that?
DNI Gabbard: I haven't read that policy
CIA Director Ratcliffe: I'm not familiar with the DOD policy

The Trump Administration is using Signal Messenger to discuss highly classified information and intelligence, and they are using it in prohibited ways because all conversations like this are meant to be preserved for records. However, national security advisor Michael Waltz set them to delete in two or four weeks.
Other Trump Administration officials in the chat were Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, Secretary of Defence Pete Hegseth, Director of the CIA John Ratcliffe, Brian McCormack, who is a senior advisor on the National Security Council, and deputy White House chief of staff Stephen Miller.
Michael Waltz also somehow managed to invite the editor-in-chief of The Atlantic, who thought it was a disinformation campaign for days until the account for Pete Hegseth gave detailed information about plans to bomb Houthis in Yemen at 1:45 pm Eastern time on March 15th (which was two hours from the time the message was sent). When the journalist saw reports of bombings in Yemen at 1:55 pm that day, he immediately removed himself from the chat. He contacted the offices of many of the officials in the chat, and it was confirmed that the Signal Messenger group was real.
Yes, this is all kinds of illegal and not okay because you remember how much Donald Trump wanted Hillary Clinton jailed for having a private email server. They are using a publicly available app to discuss war plans.

Sarah Jones at PoliticusUSA:
Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) called for Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard and CIA Director John Ratcliffe to be prosecuted for perjury after allegedly lying under oath about Signalgate, which became apparent after the text messages were released in full by the journalist whom the Trump administration has tried to bully into silence. “If the evidence initially presented by Jeffrey Goldberg weren’t damning enough, the latest tranche of messages revealed today make it clear that the Trump Administration has been lying—and continues to lie—about the confidential war plans shared by Secretary Hegseth in an unsecured Signal chat,” Nadler said in a statement. Nadler accused Gabbard and Ratcliffe of lying under oath: "The latest text messages confirm that in yesterday’s Senate Intelligence Committee hearing, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard and CIA Director John Ratcliffe lied under oath in their testimony. Perjury is a crime, and they should be prosecuted.” Nadler points out what many have already said about this, which is that any other officer would likely face dismissal and “even a court-martial”: "Any other military officer who demonstrated such disregard for security protocols would likely face dismissal from service and even a court-martial. The Trump Administration appears to believe that cabinet secretaries and senior officials are immune from the law. They are not.” [...] But none of that has ever disturbed a hair on a Republican’s head. Hillary Clinton using a private server: unacceptable. Bill Clinton lying under oath: impeachable. Donald Trump guilty of 34 felonies: doesn’t matter. Donald Trump being charged with crimes related to his mishandling of classified documents: doesn’t matter. Tulsi Gabbard and John Ratcliffe allegedly lying under oath: doesn’t matter. Pete Hegseth: gross incompetence, imperiling of the U.S. national security, jeopardizing our troops safety: doesn’t matter. The theme here is that hypocrisy doesn’t matter to Republicans. They can’t be shamed over it because they are way past the point where they even acknowledge realities that don’t fit their narrative.
Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) calls on traitors Tulsi Gabbard and John Ratcliffe to face prosecution over national security dereliction in Signalgate.

Gala Governor John Ratcliffe
So I didn't want to draw him holding the sword like in his original art. Mostly because I'm lazy. lol His outfit is kinda based off of a concept image. I hate the way he turned out. Maybe it's the lips. That and the bulging chest looks more like a weird looking boob. And I think I made his butt bigger than it should be. I dunno. But anyways.
No I'm not pairing him up with Madame Medusa. I just try to keep with aposting two characters pattern when posting. And since I'm not pairing either of them up with anyone I figured he'd be the next one to keep the pattern even.

omg! New obsession. I am known for having huge obsessions with characters, especially Disney villains. This is quite obvious when it comes to the fact that I love and hate Frollo. I have had obsessions with Maleficent, Jafar, Ratigan, Evil Queen and so on. But something I don't understand is how there is so little content about Governor Ratcliffe. I think he is everything. Yes, he may be a joke in the first Pocahontas movie, but in the second, he is the mastermind of the whole thing. I just wish my baby got as much attention as the other Disney villains. Give me content about the fake original copy of Frollo, please.

Putting "the Honorable" in front of someone's name because of the job they hold has always looked ridiculous to me. It looks hilariously ridiculous now.

So it turns out Pete Hegseth lied. And Michael Waltz lied. And Tulsi Gabbard lied. And also lied to Congress while under oath. And John Ratliffe lied. And also lied to Congress while under oath.
And as ever Jeffrey Goldberg and the Atlantic were telling the truth.
This is why journalism matters.

Read the messages Trump officials exchanged on leaked Signal thread
Trump and his team have continued to insist that "classified" information was not shared in the Signal group chat that included the editor in chief of The Atlantic, Jeffrey Goldberg.
The conversation, which The Atlantic first published on Wednesday, shows behind-the-scene discussions between Vice-President JD Vance, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, CIA Director John Ratcliffe and National Security Adviser Mike Waltz just hours before the attack was launched.
The chat also includes Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard (TG), her acting chief of staff Joe Kent, White House chief of staff Susie Wiles, White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller (S M), Secretary of State Marco Rubio (MAR), Ukraine and Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff and other senior officials.
