Elosia Marino -

Elosia was born on the 17th of April, 2003. 7 years after her brothers, John Marino and Paul Marino. The three siblings were always connected at the hip, but had a normal sibling rivalry where they play fought and if one person said left the other said right. When Eloisa was born her parents quickly put her into ice hockey like they did her older brothers. Both boy's were enamoured with her when she was born but she did drift closer to John as they both pursued hockey.

Facts and Information for Elosia -

During her teen years, Elosia spent a lot of summers dragging her family and friends to Cape Cod where she went surfing a lot. It quickly became her other sport outside of hockey and she even participated in minor competitions before she got a half scholarship to Boston University for her hockey.

While at BU aside from playing hockey she did a degree in sports medicine and modern history, both keen subjects for her. She alway's loved biology and history was something she got into as she got older, enjoying historical novels and traveling with her family and friends and stopping at little quaint towns with rich history.

One of Elosia's favourite things to do during university was find, quaint little cafe's to study at! She loves baking and cooking and this stemmed from doing it with her auntie when she was younger. She worked in a bakery later on in her teen years, expressing her love for baking and it very quickly became one of her favourite hobbies outside of hockey.

Elosia always had an eclectic selection of music she listen to growing up, trying multiple instruments before settling on the violin and playing in her school orchestra before playing recreationally when she got to university.

During the time she played for BU she grew quite close with Macklin Celebrini, the two became very close friends and confidents. They spent multiple nights in each others dorm, studying and watching movies or gossipping about crushes and eventually which team they might go to when they get drafted.

When Elosia was drafted she went to the Minesota Wild, draft pick #13.

Elosia met Jack Hughes through her brother when he played for New Jersey, they became really great friends and spent a lot of time together before beginning to date later on.

Gemma let out a shuttering breath as the buzzer rung, echoing with the cheers of the Denver team and fans. Her jaw wobbled and her eyes quickly filled with tears, she sniffles desperately and wiped her eyes roughly, she turned to right and saw a just as devastated Gabe.

Gabe turned around and saw Gemma’s beautiful bright eyes now extremely dim and glassy with tears, he stepped forward and pulled her into a tight hug. Gemma felt her shoulders shaking with sobs that she was trying to hold in but the second her head hit Gabe’s chest her sobs were let out and muffled against his chest.

Gabe’s tears were silently falling down his face as he held on to Gemma just as tightly as she held on to him.

Ryan and Will skated over slow and sadly to a hugging Gabe and Gemma and Ryan quickly wrapped his arms around the back of Gemma and rested his chin on her shoulder and Will wrapped his arms around Ryan and Gabe’s shoulders.

Gemma just continued to softly sob against on to Gabe’s chest, she was getting drafted in the summer and this was most likely her last game with Boston College as she was most likely going straight into the NHL.

Yesterday was one of the best days of her whole year, she won the Hobey Baker Award in her freshman year just like her brother Adam, and she got to spend the day with her brothers, her boyfriend and parents all together. She hasn’t spent a day with her brothers and parents in months.

Sadly Macklin and Luca both had to go back to their schools with their teams and Adam had to get back to Columbus.

She still had her parents at the game but right now she was really wishing she could get off the ice and go into her boyfriend’s arms. Macklin always has made her feel better when she’s sad.

Gemma harshly rubbed her face and pulled away from the hug, she walked away from the boys keeping her eyes downcast as she skated off the ice and walked down the tunnel.

She walked into the locker room and plopped down onto her stall and just fiddled with her hands sniffling.

Eamon walked in and felt his heart clench even more seeing how devastated Gemma looked, he walked over and sat down on his stall that’s always been next to hers, he wrapped his arms around her and pressed a soft kiss to the top of head.

Gemma just turned her head against his chest and kept her head hidden in his chest as the rest of the team walked in.

Sea of Mystery (1981) is an interesting Tunnels & Trolls solo. The concept is pretty straightforward: you get on a boat, looking for adventure and, generally, it finds you. In practice, this is essentially another teleport dungeon like Deathtrap Equalizer, its just that the meandering whims of the seabound life obscure the mechanisms a little better.

As I said, you get on a boat. From port there are a number of short adventure paths to follow, some silly, most extremely deadly, one surprisingly horny (I did not realize until this batch of T&T solos how horny this game is, generally). The Sea has some strangely convenient magical properties that mess with your equipment, essentially acting as the rules equalizers in the Deathtrap encounters. Finally, you can exit the solo whenever you hit port, which is a little more plausible than teleporting out with a frog-shaped ring.

Does it work? I think so. The variety in the threads is good. For the most part, you’re kind of stuck in the flow of events, which makes sense being one person on a boat. I like that. It often feels like you’re being pulled to a foretold destiny. Some folks will hate that, but here it feels novel. Most of the variance is down to saving throws. What choices you do have tend to be moral choices on the good/evil binary that remind me an awful lot of a BioWare game, except a little cruder. It’s not bad, though, and definitely interesting.

Ken Macklin’s cover seems a little underwhelming in the context of the whole line, but I really rather like it. It sets a strong tone and gives me Elric, sailor on the seas of fate vibes that feel real good. Interiors are by John Barnes and I love them. Boldly graphical, reminding me of some CYOA illustrations, actually. Good, clean stuff.
