The Claytons

In the Tarzan novels the character William Cecil Clayton is actually related to Tarzan (John Clayton); they’re paternal cousins and even though that was never acknowledged in the Disney adaptation, I think it be quite interesting to see how that would go.

*Young Clayton and sister meeting their new born cousin for the first time before their uncle and aunt take him on a ship.

This was surprisingly good! Batman is all 'I only take life as a last resort,' while Tarzan is all 'Stabby MacStabStab." And a really interesting take on Catwoman (albeit basically a Black Panther knockoff) to boot. Could have been silly, but everyone was treated with respect and dignity.

And who doesn't like John Clayton in full tails? (With favorite Zaddy D'Arnot making introductions)

Man got his wife and son off the burning boat, got the strength to do a lot of the work on that amazing treehouse, probably tried to take on the jaguar himself, and has amazing bone structure! And not gonna lie, that sideburns-mustache works for him.

The September 19, 1936 issue of Argosy, featuring the serialized story Tarzan and the Magic Men. Apparently, Lord Greystoke has dipped his head in some peroxide.

This story would later be combined with Tarzan and the Elephant Men, which was published the following year in the magazine Blue Book, into the book Tarzan the Magnificent.
