Mike Hixenbaugh and Allan Smith at NBC News:
Six years ago, Charlie Kirk, a right-wing provocateur who founded the conservative activist group Turning Point USA, strongly criticized the evangelical political movement he now helps lead. Kirk, known then primarily for his work mobilizing college-age Republicans, described Jesus as welcoming and tolerant and denounced Christians’ “sanctimonious approach” to homosexuality and other issues. He argued politics should be advanced through a “secular worldview” and slammed attempts by the evangelical right, beginning in the 1970s, to “impose” their version of morality “through government policy.”
“We do have a separation of church and state,” Kirk told the conservative commentator Dave Rubin in 2018, “and we should support that.” Kirk, now 30, has since reversed his position. It’s a transformation that, according to political and religious scholars, embodies and reinforces a growing embrace of Christian nationalist thinking within the Republican Party in the era of Donald Trump. “There is no separation of church and state,” Kirk said on his podcast in 2022. “It’s a fabrication. It’s a fiction. It’s not in the Constitution. It’s made up by secular humanists.”
Today, Kirk and Turning Point are dominant forces in the Republican Party and MAGA movement, working directly with the Trump campaign on voter outreach while reaching millions of listeners through Kirk’s daily radio show and podcast. Along the way, Kirk has become one of the nation’s most prominent voices calling on Christians to view conservative political activism as central to Jesus’ calling for their lives. Kirk routinely rails against what he calls the “LGBTQ agenda,” which he claims is harming children. He has invoked the Seven Mountains Mandate, a philosophy increasingly popular among Trump supporters that calls on conservative Christians to claim positions of power in seven key mountains of society, including government, media, business and education. And he promotes Trump as crucial to restoring Christian morality in America. “I worship a God that defeats evil,” Kirk said last week while introducing the former president at a rally hosted by Turning Point and the Trump campaign at an Arizona megachurch. “And we worship a God that wins in the end.”
By appealing to conservative Christians’ fears of shifting cultural norms around LGBTQ acceptance, and by portraying the election as part of a spiritual struggle, Kirk and Turning Point are banking that they can drive evangelical turnout to secure Trump victories in key swing states. But extremism experts warn that this framing — the idea Trump is on a mission from God to restore Christian righteousness in America — could lead followers to take radical action if he doesn’t prevail in November. “There’s this growing sense that American politics are so broken,” said Paul Matzko, a historian of American conservatism, “that there’s a decreasing willingness to imagine the other side being allowed to exercise power without doing it in apocalyptic terms, which fuels things like the insurrection on Jan. 6.” Kirk, whose organization bused supporters to Washington, D.C., on Jan. 6, 2021, to rally Congress to reject the presidential election outcome, declined to be interviewed. Andrew Kolvet, a Turning Point USA spokesperson, said Kirk has never advocated for violence.
[...] Kirk grew up attending church in the Chicago suburbs and identified as an evangelical when he founded Turning Point at the age of 18 in 2012 to promote the libertarian values of “free markets and limited government.” Kirk referred to the Bible in his 2016 manifesto, “Time for a Turning Point,” but argued publicly that — much like a plumber or an electrician — it was not his job as a political activist to proselytize his faith. “You don’t want to be too offsetting and off-putting,” he said in 2018.
Kolvet said Kirk started to become more serious about his faith six years ago, after traveling to Israel to witness the U.S. embassy move to Jerusalem during the Trump administration. But Kirk’s views on the role of religion in politics really began to shift in 2020, Kolvet said, after churches were forced to close to slow the spread of Covid, which Kirk and others depicted as an attempt by a tyrannical government to control Christians. A year earlier, Kirk says he’d begun meeting with California megachurch pastor Rob McCoy, who helped convince him that America was a Christian nation whose founding documents were derived from the Bible. (Although some Founding Fathers wrote of the importance of religion in maintaining a virtuous society, historians dispute the notion that America was established as an explicitly Christian nation.) In 2021, Kirk and McCoy created TPUSA Faith, a division of Turning Point USA, to mobilize conservative Christians to advance their vision.
[...] Matzko, a recent fellow at the Cato Institute, a libertarian think tank, said Kirk has aligned himself with a once-fringe strand of apocalyptic political theology popularized by a network of Pentecostal and charismatic Christian influencers in recent decades. With the Seven Mountains Mandate as a key organizing principle, ambassadors of this movement — sometimes referred to as the New Apostolic Reformation — present politics as a spiritual clash between good and evil and Trump as a generational leader ordained by God to save America from the forces of darkness. “He’s pitching his message to people who do believe that we’re in the end-times, and that if we don’t seize the Seven Mountains of cultural influence, then the other side, the satanic side, will,” Matzko said. “That sense of threat, that sense of anxiety, it just drips from his comments.” In 2021, soon after launching TPUSA Faith, Kirk told a church congregation in Washington state that it was time for Christians “to rise and stand.” He then quoted a Bible passage from the book of Luke often cited by Seven Mountains adherents to make the case that Christians are meant to rule over society until Jesus returns: “The Bible says very clearly,” Kirk said, “to ‘Occupy until I come.’” [...]
Nevertheless, Kirk has closely aligned himself with leading figures promoting the Seven Mountains worldview, including Lance Wallnau, a self-identified prophet who coined and popularized the concept two decades ago. Kirk has appeared on “FlashPoint,” a national TV program that’s won viewers with a blend of pro-Trump political commentary and prophetic messages about God’s divine plans for America. And he has partnered with Sean Feucht, a Christian musician who’s been hosting political worship rallies at all 50 state Capitols to promote the idea of a Christian America. “We want God writing the laws of the land,” Feucht said at a TPUSA Faith-sponsored event outside the Wisconsin statehouse last year. “Guilty as charged.”
This mindset, which can be traced to the Moral Majority movement of the 1970s and ’80s that Kirk once condemned, has helped fuel recent GOP initiatives chipping away at church-state separation. That includes the Alabama Supreme Court’s decision imperiling women’s access to in vitro fertilization, and a wave of state bills to display the Ten Commandments in classrooms, place religious chaplains in public schools and require students to learn from the Bible. Trump has also sought to court pastors and voters who believe America was meant for Christian rule, promising if elected to restore evangelical power in government and to begin screening immigrants based on their faith and rejecting any who “don’t like our religion.” With more than 30 full-time staff members, according to the group’s website, TPUSA Faith has worked to create a nationwide network of churches to wage political and spiritual warfare against Democrats by mobilizing pastors and registering Christian conservative voters to restore “traditional biblical values in our nation.”
NBC News reports on Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk and his organization’s turn to Christian Nationalism and Seven Mountains Dominionism.
During the early days of Kirk’s running of TPUSA, his organization generally avoided focusing on religious-type social issues that appealed to conservative evangelical Christians by running a secular operation.
However, during the 2020s, Kirk and his organization pivoted hard towards Christian nationalism and 7MD as a result of backlash against COVID measures that forced churches to close in-person services or reduce capacity. Thus, TPUSA Faith was launched.

Israels Defense Is Indefensible
Stephen Jay Morris

©Scientific Morality
Want to hear an antisemitic trope? “Jews are so greedy. Not only do they want to own all the banks in the world, but they also want to take over the West Bank.” Okay, so that one fell flat on its face. The point I am making is a lot of uneducated people do not understand what qualifies as antisemitic. Making fun of Jewish people is not antisemitic. Calling them names isn’t either. Not allowing Jews on your golf course does qualify as antisemitic. Accusing Jews of being international bankers or communists is an accusation, not antisemitism. However, if taken seriously, it could lead to throwing them in death camps and exterminating them. Massive genocide. That’s antisemitic!!
Ever hear of the Stockholm syndrome? It’s when someone who is taken hostage starts to sympathize with their captor. The revisionist Zionists hated Nazis so much that they started to imitate them. That is what you are witnessing right now in the mid-east. Ashkenazi Jews envy the White Anglo-Saxon Protestants so much that they want to be like them. Consider the last four letters in the word, “Ashkenazi.” There is a political party in Isael called, “Jewish Power.”
In Israel, the supporters of the Likud Party are the most hateful people you’ll ever meet. If you ever witness them heckling “Free Palestine” protesters, you’ll hear them say the vilest things you’ve ever heard. Jewish women declare how they wish the Palestinian women would get violently and repeatedly raped. Jewish men threaten Palestinian men, hoping they get large sticks shoved up their asses. These right-wing Jews also laugh about how Palestinian children are getting blown up by American bombs.
American politicians are no help, either. When it comes to campaign donations, A.I.P.A.C. overpays Democrats and Republicans handsome sums of money. Democratic presidential candidate, Kamala Harris, takes the same position as President Biden on arming Israel’s IDF. Biden’s administration capitulates and submits to Israel like it has enormous power over them. What’s going on there?
Well, I’ve got news for all you non-Jews. There is a reason that there are more Jews in America than in Israel. Israel wasn’t around when Jews were being persecuted in the diasporas before it became a state, so Israel is not important to American Jews. If any American politician were to tell Israel, “You’d better stop bombing women and children or we stop sending you arms,” or “If you don’t stop killing innocent civilians, we will invade your country, disarm you, arrest your prime minister, and outlaw the Likud Party,” Jews would still vote for them.  Also, those Jews you call settlers in the West Bank are actually squatters. We could arrest all of them and get them jobs in the States as re-po men. Just for once, I’d like to see an American president stand up to right wing Jews. Politicians, stop worrying about being called “antisemitic” and your donations being canceled. Don’t you know that Jews are neurotics and paranoids who call every non-Jew antisemitic? If a cop gives a Jew a speeding ticket, he will call the cop an antisemite.  Believe it or not, there are evil Jews.
Once again, I call upon the Israeli people to do something to stop this Judeo-Fascist movement. Something! Anything! Israel will not be destroyed by Islamic terrorists; it will be destroyed by right wing Jews! Just keep on doing nothing and see what happens.

Wild Cat Strike in Israel
Unionism in the USA has helped the working-class Jews since the early 20th Century. A lot of the garment industry businesses in New York were owned by Jews. Most of the single-needle operators were Jews. A majority of secular and religious Jews formed unions. Many Jews were lifted from poverty thanks to the trade unions. Jewish gangsters extorted hefty protection fees from the garment business owners, causing them to lose much of their hard-earned money. For decades, trade unions and Jewish gangsters were at the center of violent struggle for Jewish businesses. At any rate, unions have been a crucial part of the Jewish people for over two centuries now.
It is no surprise that Israel is a union country. However, the unions there are under government supervision and must get approval from their labor department to strike. On September 2, the Histadrut labor union called a strike. And not just any old strike, but a general strike, which means that all unions hit the bricks and shut the country down. Soon afterward, however, Israel’s Labor Court ordered the strike to end at 2:30 p.m. local time that day.
Did that stop the Israeli workers? Fuck no, it didn’t! Israel is now having a wild cat strike. With other nations boycotting Israel and the strike shutting down the country, this could be the end of the genocide.
Benjamin Netanyahu and the Likud Party are anti-union. Does he think that this is a good idea? Unions saved the Jewish people. Jewish owners of companies were adversaries of the Jewish working class. One thing Jewish workers do not like is scabs, like Benjamin Netanyahu and the Likud party. When the Jewish left unites the country, they really unite the nation. Right wing Jews divide the Jewish people because they believe that Jews are the master race. Uh…I don’t think so.
One more thing I want to say: I am fucking sick of those videos I see on social media of pro-Israel counter-protesters yelling stupid, hateful, ugly things at pro-Palestinian demonstrators! Especially Israeli women. A lot of those women are wives of orthodox Jews and are among the most oppressed women in the history of humankind. For example, when one is having her menstrual period, she is not permitted a seat at her family’s dinner table. Oh, here is another fact a freedom-loving human should know about orthodox Jews: It’s okay for a husband to rape his wife if she doesn’t put out. Yeah, just a ask an orthodox Rabbi.  So, the next time you tell an anti-war female to get raped, somebody will yell back, “I hope that your husband rapes you!”
Over and out.

what does it mean to be an American to you? what does your perfect america look like?
i don’t really have a concept of a perfect america or what it is to be an american beyond “person who lives in the usa” but i’ll give it a shot.
what it is to be an ideal american:
open to new ideas and different perspectives, we are a huge and diverse nation that’s honestly incredibly polarized at the moment politically and my favorite flavor of fellow citizen is one who can disagree while still respecting the other side
understanding of different cultural backgrounds because most of us come from immigrant backgrounds at some point (obviously excluding ppl who are first nations), we are a melting pot culture
progressive, always looking to the future while remembering/honoring the past, we have a relatively short history as a country compared to many but we’re a people who are always looking for new possibilities while remembering both the good and bad parts of our past (good would be our dedication to innovation, bad would be…. well that’s a long list, this country has fucked up a lot)
caring about human rights, equality/equity, most of us are descended from people who came to america to escape something going on in our ancestors’ home countries so i believe it’s our job to create a society where we don’t have to worry about oppression no matter where it comes from
cares about the land and its history — what did your area look like before european settlers colonized it? who lived there and what was their language/culture/general mode of existing? was the land taken care of or maintained a certain way by the local tribes/nations before it was colonized?
what is my idea of a perfect america:
native communities have the resources they need to live happy healthy lives in their homelands, with their languages maintained and the land maintained the way it has been historically and with science in mind (controlled burns, cultivated forests and natural habitat intermixed with holistically farmed land, wildlife corridors, etc)
education is entirely secular and well funded so that people don’t need to resort to private schools to educate their kids well
less funding for the military generally speaking, redirect those funds towards socialized healthcare and higher education
less funding for police, redirect that funding towards community services
in fact completely overhaul the police system, require psychological evals to root out the bullies and corrupt people, give them a minimum of 2-4 years of schooling specifically for law enforcement, require unconscious bias training, and make it so that every lawsuit for police misconduct comes out of the police’s pension funds
NO MORE ELECTORAL COLLEGE, implement ranked choice voting, do anything to end the two party system
progressive tax, better labor laws, let’s make america the land of people who don’t have to exist from paycheck to paycheck like most of us do now
restoration of native habitats and species. when there’s 20 million bison roaming the plains and wolves in most of the lower 48 again and the wetlands are wetlanding and the forests are foresting and the deserts not expanding and the amphibians and insects and fish are all at healthy population levels i will be happy
let’s talk “american freedom” for a second. i HATE the wet dream conservatives have about a very militaristic ideal of freedom. to me when i envision what i wish “american freedom” meant i yearn for a future where everyone has opportunity, can participate in democracy (our democracy isn’t perfect, we have to strengthen it), can do/be anything they want, etc
to achieve these ideals i think i most like the term “social democracy” with a mixed economy — i like the ideal of other more complete types of socialism but believe that a mixed economy is a more reasonable goal. healthcare and education would be socialized, housing and other things would be at least partially socialized, and social services would have more resources.
look i really just want everyone to be healthy, happy, without giving assholes the opportunities they currently have to hurt others, to oppress minorities/the poor/homeless, etc
ok i’m running out of spoons so i’m done for now

The FEAR that permeates their leaves no room for empathy.
Let me give an example: My father had a plethora of fear driven superstitious beliefs.
For him the natural world and the supernatural world were essentially hostile to the Good as well as the Bad.
No Karma was involved. There was a finite amount of Good Luck to go around but an infinite amount of misfortune always seeking a home.
As long as someone else was suffering, those suffering were like a lightening rod drawing some of the supernatural hostility away from my father.
Too bad for them; but better for him. To his credit he never actively tried to make things worse for family, neighbors, co-workers, people of other ethnicities/religious/political groups…like many MAGA Karens do.
He had a series of irrational ways to propitiate the hostile world. One example: if he left the house to go somewhere but forgot something inside he WOULD NOT re-enter the house. He’d yell from the driveway until one of us heard him and brought whatever to him. If we weren’t there he’d run the errand -unsuccessfully - return, retrieve the item, and the-run the errand
It took me way too long to understand that this type of BELIEF SYSTEM for a hostile world - while irrational in the adult world - is perfectly rational for surviving in a actually hostile family environment.
An environment Narcissist-created that traumatized him ascitcdd/does much of the secular and profane conservative bandwidth in their childhood.
A type of childhood heavy in spare-the-rod…’ what good is education? get a full time job (at 14)’, children need to OBEY their parents all their lives’ The mantras of USAmerican Conservative families.
Conditioned to fear by all sorts childhood traumas which, if unexamined, are transmogrified for the adult world.
Let me ask you…do you know any happy MAGAs? Plently that are gleeful at others misery, sure. But happy?
D they express seemingly irrational fears (white genocide! armies of Honduran rapists at the Southern border! the Rapture every time there’s an eclipse?)
Lives full of terror looking for those ‘Others-Not Us’ who can be the scapegoats who suffer in place of the ‘Us’.

the Kixncoffee T Shirt
Kixncoffee T Shirt
Most Christian countries have a public holiday on the 25th & 26th. So in 2018, the Kixncoffee T Shirt went: less tha one day of work, two days off, and two unproductive workdays. Many companies enforced the taking of 4 days annual leave during Christmas week & the following Monday (in Oz we usually get 4 weeks discretionary leave (take it when you want)). Economically, a better idea is to make the secular Xmas on the last Sunday in December, and the following Monday New Years day. Leave the religious aspects to the religionists to commemorate their observances in heir own time. Muslims, Jews, Eastern Orthodox Christians and other religions do so every year successfully, why not Western Christianity? And to keep workers happy where public holidays might be lost, replace them with the Friday before & Monday after the last Sunday in December with public holidays. At at least that way business has two weeks of four contiguous workdays, and people can do something creative with the long weekend (nb: in Oz, January 1st is a public holiday, so that could be replaced by declaring the first Monday in January a public holiday. Thus the workers get two long weekends in a row, and three weeks of just 4 workdays).

The influence that the people have around us is the strongest and ties most extensively with our emotions. In fact, comparing ourselves with our peers is more of a basic instinct. Mean People Suck Youth Energy Midwest Usa Un Nostalgia Dealer Shirt
I don’t know if I can think of 12 things. If you are thinking of getting a fresh cut tree consider a Mean People Suck Youth Energy Midwest Usa Un Nostalgia Dealer Shirt, you know with the root ball. Gen X Annoyed With All The Rest Of You Generation X T Shirt This brings me to my seventh point. Find out what Gen X Annoyed With All The Rest Of You Generation X T Shirt want is in fact very difficult. However, to quote Steve Jobs, “when you find what you love, you will know it. Keep looking, don’t settle.” I am not too sure if the Steve Jobs model is universally applicable, as I do think that his happiness is based on a considerable degree of luck (what he liked doing, i.e. inventing I.T. products, was simultaneously the hottest thing going in the world when he was doing it.

Palestine Will Be Free Toddler Social Justice Watermelon Kid T Shirt I was asleep in bed, Palestine Will Be Free Toddler Social Justice Watermelon Kid T Shirt 2am, when Spider (My cat, not my choice of name) came into the bedroom, placed his mouth by my ear, and Miaowed, LOUDLY. I woke up, suddenly, and not too happily! I tried to push him away, but he repeated himself, then stood up and walked to the end of the bed, and looked back at me. When I tried to lie down, he came back, caught my hand in his mouth, and gently, but firmly, pulled me towards the door.

Minnesota Timberwolves Bring Ya Ass 2024 Shirt
I don’t like celebrating any occasions apart from my wedding anniversary. My wedding day was a very happy day in my life and I have somebody to share it with. My birthday is not a Minnesota Timberwolves Bring Ya Ass 2024 Shirt to celebrate, I was conceived on a one night stand and was ill treated all my life by my mother as a consequence. Every Christmas was miserable and another reason for my parents to fight over money. I am not religious but I hate that it has become a commercial day all about greed and who can outdo the next person. People all of a sudden spend one or two days thinking about homeless people and walk past them the rest of the year. We have lost the true meaning of Christmas and Christianity is not just for Christmas. New year’s, just an excuse for a drink or 10 and people to promise things that they will have forgotten about a week or two later. Let’s make changes for the better when we realise things are not good, not make a reason to be miserable about two weeks later because you have failed. I honestly celebrate the small victories and accomplishments when they happen and try to live a good life and be a nice person all of the time and I am happy most of the time. Celebrate every day you wake up on the right side of the ground and vow to make the world a better place every day.

Official Rapsody Grow From The Pain Shirt
Photosynthesis converts light energy into chemical energy in the Official Rapsody Grow From The Pain Shirt of glucose. This glucose is utilised by the plants in respiration to produce energy to carry out all the life . Plants use photosynthesis to produce carbohydrates from inorganic substrates. All organisms need energy to grow and reproduce. Many organisms (including all plants) use cellular respiration to produce ATP, which is used for cellular energy. The respiration reaction uses carbohydrates like glucose as a substrate. Whereas humans eat food to provide the fuel for respiration, plants make their own through photosynthesis. Without photosynthesis, plants would not have carbohydrates for respiration. In addition, the carbohydrates produced in photosynthesis are also used to build plant cell structures, like the cellulose cell wall. Proteins of animal origin are more often high-quality complete proteins relative to the dietary needs of humans. There are eight essential amino acids, so called because they’re essential to the human diet. The human body needs them for survival and can’t synthesis them from plant foods. There are two more that we can synthesize, but only from the essential AAs, so if we lacked all the essential AAs in the diet, we’d lack 10 of the 20 protein-building AAs.

Save A Horse Ride A Dyke Shirt
This is a fun question. For about 35 years now I’ve hosted a Christmas party for about 30 friends. The ‘price’ to get in is a homemade ornament. You would not believe what my friends have come up with. I have numerous boxes of Save A Horse Ride A Dyke Shirt . About 8 years ago, I told them to not bring anything. But last week, party weekend, about 15 still brought one. They all said that they just loved doing it and it put them in a party, Christmas mood. So the last 8 years I had to come up an idea for the tree. Some of my best were: going through printed pictures of my friends, had some of their pets- most now gone. Vacation pics with one or more in it, and just neat / interesting landmarks etc. took over 100 to Walgreens . For a dime/picture, the copied them onto print stock. I refilled the originals and then cut out the the thing in pic I liked. Bought a stack of manila folders and a bottle of Elmer’s glue, both cheap. Opened the folders and laid them flat on my dining table that had a sheet on it, arranged all the cut-outs on the open folders to get as many as possible on each one put glue on the back of the image, pressed it onto the folder. A couple hours later, cut the pics out of the folder Now the pics were very sturdy. On the back, more glue and a metal ornament hanger. (Like 200 for $ 1) guests had a great time retelling old stories associated with the memories the photos inspired. Hope you like my ideas.

End Of Year School Survivor Last Day Of School Teacher T Shirt To understand why, you need to End Of Year School Survivor Last Day Of School Teacher T Shirt NASA’s history. During the Apollo days, James Webb, NASA administrator, was focused on one thing: Apollo. Post-Apollo planning was entirely nonexistent because he didn’t want to allow dreaming about the future to negatively impact the incredibly difficult mission they were already focused on. That’s not to say that he expected us to go to the moon and stop, however. He fully expected to continue towards a goal of “preeminence in space.”
