This is my battle cry in the face of the silent extinguishing of an entire generation of artists by AI.

And you know what? We can't let that happen. It's not about fighting the future, it's about shaping it on our terms. If you think this is worth fighting for, please share this post. Let's make this debate go viral - because we need to take action NOW.

Remember that even in the darkest of times, creativity always finds a way.

To unleash our true potential, we need first to dive deep into our darkest fears.

So let's do this together:

By the end of 2025, most traditional artist jobs will be gone, replaced by a handful of AI-augmented art directors. Right now, around 5 out of 6 concept art jobs are being eliminated, and it's even more brutal for illustrators. This isn't speculation: it's happening right now, in real-time, across studios worldwide.

At this point, dogmatic thinking is our worst enemy. If we want to survive the AI tsunami of 2025, we need to prepare for a brutal cyberpunk reality that isn’t waiting for permission to arrive. This isn't sci-fi or catastrophism. This is a clear-eyed recognition of the exponential impact AI will have on society, hitting a hockey stick inflection point around April-May this year. By July, February will already feel like a decade ago. This also means that we have a narrow window to adapt, to evolve, and to build something new.

Let me make five predictions for the end of 2025 to nail this out:

Every major film company will have its first 100% AI-generated blockbuster in production or on screen.

Next-gen smartphones will run GPT-4o-level reasoning AI locally.

The first full AI game engine will generate infinite, custom-made worlds tailored to individual profiles and desires.

Unique art objects will reach industrial scale: entire production chains will mass-produce one-of-a-kind pieces. Uniqueness will be the new mass market.

Synthetic AI-generated data will exceed the sum total of all epistemic data (true knowledge) created by humanity throughout recorded history. We will be drowning in a sea of artificial ‘truths’.

For us artists, this means a stark choice: adapt to real-world craftsmanship or high-level creative thinking roles, because mid-level art skills will be replaced by cheaper, AI-augmented computing power.

But this is not the end. This is just another challenge to tackle.

Many will say we need legal solutions. They're not wrong, but they're missing the bigger picture: Do you think China, Pakistan, or North Korea will suddenly play nice with Western copyright laws? Will a "legal" dataset somehow magically protect our jobs? And most crucially, what happens when AI becomes just another tool of control?

Here's the thing - boycotting AI feels right, I get it. But it sounds like punks refusing to learn power chords because guitars are electrified by corporations. The systemic shift at stake doesn't care if we stay "pure", it will only change if we hack it.

Now, the empowerment part: artists have always been hackers of narratives.

This is what we do best: we break into the symbolic fabric of the world, weaving meaning from signs, emotions, and ideas. We've always taken tools never meant for art and turned them into instruments of creativity. We've always found ways to carve out meaning in systems designed to erase it.

This isn't just about survival. This is about hacking the future itself.

We, artists, are the pirates of the collective imaginary. It’s time to set sail and raise the black flag.

I don't come with a ready-made solution.

I don't come with a FOR or AGAINST. That would be like being against the wood axe because it can crush skulls.

I come with a battle cry: let’s flood the internet with debate, creative thinking, and unconventional wisdom. Let’s dream impossible futures. Let’s build stories of resilience - where humanity remains free from the technological guardianship of AI or synthetic superintelligence. Let’s hack the very fabric of what is deemed ‘possible’. And let’s do it together.

It is time to fight back.

Let us be the HumaNet.

Let’s show tech enthusiasts, engineers, and investors that we are not just assets, but the neurons of the most powerful superintelligence ever created: the artist community.

The following info is from an article by Maria Benjamin in the January 2025 edition of 'Cumbria Life', (p.60). Her grandparents lived as farmers in a community in India that was set up by an English missionary called Robert Clark. He bought almost 2,000 acres of land in the Punjab region from the Indian government and created a Christian village which he named in his own honour, Clarkabad.

The majority of people who relocated to Clarkabad were Chuhura people, an Untouchable caste who converted to Christianity. Untouchables are now known as Dalit, a Sanskrit word for 'broken' or 'scattered'. Dalits are born outcasts within the Hindu caste system. Barely seen as human, they worked in the most menial jobs. Even today more than 40 million Dalits in India are bonded workers, many in bond for generational debts.

Conversion to Christianity was an opportunity to escape prejudice and gain equal rights. By the 1930s almost the entire Chuhura caste had converted to Protestant Christianity. Robert Clarkabad gave some of these Christian converts land in Clarkabad, elevating them to farmers and attempting to establish a caste-less Christian community.

When the Punjab region was divided in Partition in 1947, Clarkabad became part of the new Pakistan, now the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The majority of the population is Muslim, but there are approx. 3.3 million Christians currently living in the country, which is about 1.3 per cent of the population.

I noted that in her article Benjamin states that the purchase of the land in the Punjab took place in 1900. However, a quick check on Wikipedia shows that 1900 was the date of Clark's death and that the purchase took place in the early 1850s. A slight error in an interesting and presumably otherwise factually correct tale. (I'll try to remember to add more info re. the caste system & Partition later). As well as farming, her grandfather also taught art and English at the local school, and had nine children, the eldest of whom was her father.

We are going to use the Communion now, and here every person can please use their preferred elements for the grape juice and the bread.

Communion Scripture: Mark.14:22-24

Mark 14:22-24

And as they did eat, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body.

And he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them: and they all drank of it.

And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many.

Symbolic:

Bread that is broken—Jesus’ Body on the Cross for our sins.

Grape Juice—Jesus’ Blood that washes us clean from our sins, for us to stand clean before God.

(Parents with little children, explain carefully to the children the seriousness of the Communion: Jesus died on the Cross for our sins, and every time that we use the Communion, we remember that there was a Cross and that Jesus died for our sins.  We use Communion to give thanks to Jesus and to always remember that He died for our sins.

Every parent knows how much their children understand about the Cross Death and how to explain it to them.  I would, however, invite everyone to allow their children to make use of Communion, even if the little child only understands that there must be prayer and that there must be an atmosphere of respect.

This is quite something that struck me when we read about Rebekah as a family during Bible study. I thought a bit and Ruth also came to mind.Rebekah and Ruth found themselves in very strange circumstances. They simply went with strange people and were obedient regardless of the circumstances.The statistics for kidnappings are shocking. In 2024, Turkey was the country with the highest chances of being kidnapped, (42,699 per 100,000 people), followed by Lebanon (16,384 per 100,000 people), Kuwait (12,69 per 100,000 people), Canada (10,285 per 100 000 people), Belgium (10,245 per 100,000 people), South Africa (9,569 per 100,000 people), New Zealand (9,508 per 100,000 people), Pakistan (9,452 per 100,000 people), Eswatini (9,354 per 100,000 people), United Kingdom (8,835 per 100,000 people ) (Source: World Population Review)It makes one wonder what happens to women when they are abducted. These victims are, in most cases, exposed to the cruelest forms of violence, rape, drugs, and human trafficking.The victims are approached under many pretenses that range from winning competitions to job opportunities.As someone who lives in this world and is well aware of all these dangers around us, it made me wonder how on earth a family would just let their daughters go with a stranger or how a mother would let her daughter be sent to a strange man's bed.Were they not aware of the dangers? We cannot rule out that these dangers did not exist. Rebekah's grandson, Joseph, is sold by his brothers (human trafficking), and her granddaughter, Dinah, is raped by Shechem.Thus, human trafficking and rape were crimes of which these women and their families were well aware and later were even the victims of. Yet they took the chances and did what they were told to do regardless of the danger involved.What drove them to do this? What drives a family to let their daughter go with a totally stranger and never see her again? What drives a mother to send her daughter to a man's bed and risk being stoned?Absolute obedience and faith. These two families obeyed God beyond all doubt. They believed in God beyond all doubt and trusted in God. The daughters made themselves fully willing to follow and seek God's Will for their lives.How obedient will we be today if it is expected of us? I know that God (hopefully) will not expect this from us, but at least I will have many questions: "Lord, really my daughters?" "Lord, do you know it's dangerous?" "My Father, how can You expect me to do this?" "Lord, You know they have always been under my eyes; now, You want me to send them away with a strange man?"Are we going to have the faith and trust that our daughters will be safe and have a good future if God were to expect this from us today?Prayer:

Heavenly Father, please give us today the obedience, faith, and trust to seek and do Your Will in our children's lives. Lord, we don't always know the path that You want us to walk, but we believe, trust, and stand on Your promises of a hopeful future. Jesus, please forgive us when we doubt Your Word. Holy Spirit guides us to always act with faith and trust. Father, help us to always seek Your Will, please. In Jesus Name, Amen
