Happy Halloween! During Halloween's ancient origins, people would gather to light giant bonfires and dress up in costumes to ward off evil spirits. Roadrunners spends most of their time on the ground and can run up to 20 mph! The parents usually nest around the base of a bush, cactus or small tree and the mother will lay a dozen or less eggs. 59/100 Cougars! Also known as Mountain lions, Pumas and Panthers. They are native to South and Western-North America, mostly living in the mountainous regions of Canada and Mexico. They are the 4th largest of the big cat family, after the lions, tigers, and jaguars. Cougars are solitary animals and only the female cougars are involved with parenting and raising a litter of 1-6 cubs. Spots on the cougar cubs act as camouflage from unwanted predators. The cubs will outgrow their spots when they no longer depend on the mother (usually after 2 years).
