67/100 Ragdolls! Another print available in my Etsy shop (link in bio). Ragdolls are a breed of cats characterized by its sweet blue eyes and distinct color-pointed coat (color on its face, ears, legs and tails). Ragdolls are large, muscular, semi-long haired with soft and silky coats. They are known to be laid back, gentle, and tend to be more interested humans than other breeds of cats. They choose to be where you are and follow you around and perhaps entertain you in a game of fetch. Ragdoll cats are so laid back, that they go limp or relaxed when you pick them up...like a rag doll! #the100dayproject #100daysofwildlifebyjoblanklee #jodoodles #wildlife #illustration #animalillustration #doodles #watercolor #childrensbookillustration #joblanklee #joleeart #ragdoll #meow #feline #cats #kittens #babyanimals #etsy #etsyseller #mothersdaygift (at Columbus, Ohio)

65/100 Fin whales. The second largest whale in the world; growing up to 90 feet long! They are also known as the finback whale and razorbacks. The fin whales got their nickname razorback because of a pronounced ridge seen behind their dorsal (top) fin. #the100dayproject #100daysofwildlifebyjoblanklee #jodoodles #wildlife #illustration #animalillustration #doodles #watercolor #childrensbookillustration #joblanklee #joleeart #marinewildlife #fin #razorback #finwhale #finback #whale

Resuming my #100dayproject of #100daysofwildlifebyjoblanklee This print is also available in my Etsy shop and would make a lovely Mother's Day gift for any moms that love sea otters! 66/100 Sea otters. Sea otters play an important role in their environment. They maintain balance of the kelp ecosystem. As predators, they feed on undersea animals that naturally feed on kelp forests that provides shelter for other marine animals. Kelp forests help absorb the atmospheric carbon dioxide in coastal ecosystems. #jodoodles #wildlife #illustration #animalillustration #doodles #watercolor #childrensbookillustration #joblanklee #joleeart #marinewildlife #nurseydecor #maker #etsy #etsyseller #mothersdaygift #mommyandme #mymommyandmebyjoblanklee #seaotters #otters #kelp #savethekelp (at Columbus, Ohio)

64/100 Seals vs Sea Lions An easy way to remember the difference between seals and sea lions is that seals flop around on land whereas sea lions “walk” on land using their large flippers. They also have different physical characteristics; sea lions have visible ear flaps, and seals do not. Seals also do not bark, but sea lions do, and very loudly. Can you guess which ones I’ve illustrated? #the100dayproject #100daysofwildlifebyjoblanklee #jodoodles #wildlife #illustration #animalillustration #doodles #watercolor #childrensbookillustration #joblanklee #joleeart #marinewildlife #seal #sealion

63/100 Hammerhead shark! This shark’s unusual name comes from the unusual shape of its head, which happens to be built for a purpose; maximizing the shark’s ability to hunt its favorite meal, stingrays. It traps stingrays by using its wide head and pinning them to the seafloor. Also, the shark’s eye place on each end of its very wide head allows the shark to scan for prey quickly than other sharks can. #the100dayproject #100daysofwildlifebyjoblanklee #jodoodles #wildlife #illustration #animalillustration #doodles #watercolor #childrensbookillustration #joblanklee #joleeart #marinewildlife #hammerhead #sharks

Happy Halloween! During Halloween's ancient origins, people would gather to light giant bonfires and dress up in costumes to ward off evil spirits. Attracted to the heat and light of bonfires were small flying insects, which were a main meal for bats. (Bats would use echolocation to hunt the flying small insects.) Bats were often seen during these festivites and became associated with Halloween. #the100dayproject #100daysofwildlifebyjoblanklee #jodoodles #wildlife #illustration #animalillustration #doodles #watercolor #childrensbookillustration #joblanklee #joleeart #bats #halloween #hallowseve

58/100 Lynx. There are four species of lynxes, from largest to smallest; Eurasian lynx, Canadian lynx, Iberian lynx and the bobcat. Most common characteristics are their long legs, short tails, black tipped ears, large paws covered in fur and long tufts of fur around the face that resembles a bow tie or beard. Lynxes are solitary wildcats and only come together for breeding. The mother raises her litter of 1-4 kittens alone. Kittens will stay with the mom until they are a year old. #the100dayproject #100daysofwildlifebyjoblanklee #jodoodles #wildlife #illustration #animalillustration #doodles #watercolor #childrensbookillustration #joblanklee #joleeart #wildcats #wildcatillustration #lynx #bobcat
