After the fall of Goguryeo in 668, the Tang Dynasty forcibly moved the Goguryeo refugees out of the country, but there were still a considerable number of Goguryeo refugees in the Yeongju area. Due to the harsh rule of the Tang Dynasty, the Khitan people rebelled and occupied the Yeongju area. At this time, Dae Jo-yeong and the Malgal chief Geolsabiu led the refugees of Goguryeo to the east. After Geolsabiu was killed, Dae Joyeong rallied the Malgal and Goguryeo troops and continued to march eastward, defeating the Muju army [3] led by Lee Haego in the Battle of Cheonmunryeong, and heading east again to Dunhwa-hyeon, Jilin Province. The country was established on the basis of Mt. Dongmo located in the prefecture.
The relationship with Joongwon was bad from the founding of the country, but when Dae Joyeong founded the country in Mt. Dongmosan and Dae Joyeong's momentum grew stronger, he came out of Muju as an envoy and first dispatched an envoy to Dae Joyeong, saying, ' and other titles were given. Dae Jo-young also responded and sent his son as a lieutenant to the restored Tang Dynasty, choosing peace rather than conflict. It was from the time of the second King Mu, who actively expanded his power by attacking neighboring forces such as Heuksu Malgal, that the relationship with Tang began to deteriorate again.
In 698, the country was named Jin (震/振), but when Muju enfeoffed Daejoyeong as King Balhae, named after the place name of Balhae Bay, the country name was changed to Balhae. It seems that after Muju decided on the name Parhae, Parhae also began to use the name Parhae for diplomatic efficiency. However, there is an argument that the country was called Bohai from the beginning. In this case, Parhae is considered not only Bohai, but also Hanhanhae, that is, Gyeongbakho Lake. Afterwards, in the case of King Moon, he used Goryeo as the name of the country when diplomacy with Japan, which had nothing to do with Tang.
In addition to Chinese records, Dae Joyeong is mentioned in a government letter sent by Choi Chiwon of Silla to the Tang Dynasty. In Silla, Dae Jo-young was awarded the rank of 5th grade official. Daeahchan is a rank that only jingol can be received in the Silla Golpum Festival, and only two of them, King Gu Gu of Geumgwan Gaya and Anseung of Goguryeo, are the only ones left in the record that Silla treated outsiders with jingol. Giving this is a political gesture that says that Balhae is inferior to Silla, but anyway, Silla acknowledges the new state of Balhae and Dae Jo-yeong as the monarchs of a new country. Choi Chi-won said that the origin of Parhae was Malgal and at the same time entered Goguryeo as an insider, and in other writings, he expressed it as a remnant of Goguryeo, revealing a dual perspective that reveals that the mother of Parhae was part of Goguryeo. Also, his son was sealed as King Gyerugun. The Balhae Malgal were originally a tribe of Goryeo. In the year of the general of the Tang Dynasty, King Gojong pacified Goryeo and scattered the people to live in China, leaving them outside Liao. In Pyongyang, Andong Dohobu was placed and commanded. During Manse Tongcheon, Khitan Yi, Manyeong [4] rebelled and captured Yeongbu, and there was Daesari Geolgeojungsang, a different species of Goryeo.[5] Geolgeoljungsang served as king by dividing the land of Goryeo while guarding Yodong with the group of Malgal traitor Geolsabiu. Cheukcheon conferred Geolsabiu to Heo Guk-gong and Daesari Geogeoljungsang to Jinguk-gong, but Geolsabiu refused. Cheukcheon ordered General Lee Hae-go to destroy Jin and behead him. When Geogeoljungsang died, his son Dae Joyeong took the throne and merged Biu's group. There were about 400,000 monks and soldiers,[6] and others stayed in the highlands of Eupru to guard them.

FAVORITE KDRAMA COMPILATION (PART 2)
It's Okay, That's Love
This drama bravely talks about mental illness. Its effect on the patient, the people they love, and how to deal with it. The characters are well-portrayed. Jo In-sung's acting is remarkable, as well as Do Kyungsoo. I've been diagnosed with depression before and I can really relate to the message of this series. They carefully discuss schizophrenia and explain the symptoms and medications needed for the person suffering such mental condition. And since most of the people around us still shrug off the reality of mental illness, it is about time that something like this can be watched by everyone. This series is dropping off the taboo and making mental health a relevant topic to discuss. Also, I love the OST. It suits the drama really well.
Hello, Monster!
I love anything that has something to do with crime-fighting, forensic, and mystery. This series has it all. Not only that it is well written, Hello Monster is also also well thought of. The story line is interesting and full of suspense. It makes you question the idea of how murderers exist? Were they born killers? Or did society changed them to be who they are? Solving the murders make you analyze things. It holds your interest until the very end. Also, this is the first series where Park Bo Gum played the role of a villain. Interesting, right? I can highly recommend this series. Also, Jang Nara is here. You know my love for her is everlasting.
Goblin
At first, I was compelled to watch this series because my friends like to that about it everyday. To be honest, I wasn't interested at first. But, eventually I gave in since it has a very interesting plot. Kim Shin and Eun Tak's love story seemed okay to me. What got me attached in the series was Wang Yeo and Sunny's ill-fated love. Crying a river every time they're on-screen is an understatement. I've never been this hooked for second leads since Descendants of the Sun. The cinematography is great. Also, let me add Gong Yoo and Lee Dong Wook's bromance. It gave me feels that I enjoyed. Sometimes, I get spooked by the ghosts appearing here and there. But nevertheless, their acting was superb. Goblin's ost is also one of the best ost is Kdrama history.
It's Okay To Not Be Okay
One of the most amazing dramas of 2020! I've been a fan of Kim Soo-Hyun for quite a while now, so imagine my excitement when I get to see him on screen again. His chemistry with Seo Ye Ji is beyond compare. They looked good together. It looks natural. Effortlessly done. I love how this series also talks about mental illness, acceptance, and healing. They also discuss autism, and how family greatly affects one's healing. At first, it might seem dark and scary, but behind the spooky exterior is a very meaningful story that can touch everyone. It guides you slowly into facing your own fears and getting passed them. I find this series very comforting. Again, must recommend.

Une jeune femme tente d’échapper à ce qui semble être une malédiction qui tue un à un les membres de sa famille…
“Du saramida” (두 사람이다), ou “Someone Behind You” pour la distribution internationale, est un film d’horreur sud-coréen datant de 2007, écrit, co-produit et réalisé par Oh Ki-hwan, à qui l’on doit également “The Art of Seduction” (2005).

So this post is being made because of hashtags #i only started watching South Asian dramas ladt September so I don’t know about 0 # early 2000s Kdramas by @ezhilmozhi
I am gonna talk about the elder k drama actors whose shows I have watched and heard of.
So like if I have to borrow terminology from K Pop - the earlier 3 generations, since I consider the actors in the original post as 4th generation. And like some of the 2nd generation actors - I have got to know of them recently after I watched their post military service shows.
And as I was doing this I realised - you know what the earlier generations actors don't all look similar - they have their own unqiueness - so this is a recent change probably due to the Hallyu Wave getting bigger and them trying to keep the momentum going with what works.
So here goes
Yoo Ji Tae - Healer
Cha Seung Won - You're All Surrounded
Jang Dong Gun - A Gentleman's Dignity, Suits, and Arthadal Chronicles
So Ji Sub - Oh My Venus, The Master's sun
Jo In Sung - It's Okay, That's Love
Go Yoo - Goblin, Coffee Prince
Lee Jung Jae - Squid game, Chief of Staff
Yeon Woo Jin - Thirty-nine, Marriage not dating
Jang Hyuk - You're My Destiny
Lee Joon gi - Lawless Lawyer, Flower Of Evil
Lee Seung gi - You're All Surrounded Vagabond and Mouse
Kim Jae Wook - Her Private Life and Coffee Prince
Kang Ha Neul - When the camelia blooms, Moon lovers: Scarlett heart ryo
Jo Jung Sook - Oh my Ghost, Don't dare to dream, Hospital Playlist - 1 and 2
Ji Chang Wook - Suspicious Partner, Healer, Lovestruck in the city, The K2.
Lee Min Ki - Because This Is My First Life, Beauty Inside
Nam Joo Hyuk - Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo , Start up, The School Nurse Files
Bang Sung Hoon - My Secret Romance, Love Marriage ft Divorce
Kim Bum - Boys Over Flowers , The Tale of Nine Tailed and The Ghost Doctor
Song Joong Ki - Descendants Of The Sun, Arthadal Chronicles, Vincenzo
Park Bogum - Reply 1988, Love Under The Moonlight
Ji Sung - The Devil Judge, Doctor John, Kill Me, Heal Me
Hyun Bin - Crash Landing On You, Secret Garden, Memories of Alhamara
Choi Jin Hyuk - Emergency Couple, Tunnel and The Last Empress
Seo In Guk - Reply 1997, Doom At Your Service, Shopaholic Louis, Hello Monster
Kim Woobin - Uncontrallby Find, The Heirs, and A Gentleman's Dignity
Kim Soohyun - My Love From Another Star and It's Okay To Not Be Okay
Lee Minho - Boys Over Flowers, The Heirs, and Legend Of The Blue Sea
Park Seojun - Whats Wrong With Secretary Kim, Fight For My Way, She Was Pretty, Kill Me, Heal Me and Itaweon Class
Park Hyunsik - The Heirs, Strong Woman Do Bong Soon
Lee Jong Suk - I Hear Your Voice, Romance Is A Bonus Book, Pinnochio, While You Were Sleeping
Lee Dong Wook - Goblin, Touch Your Heart, and The Tale of Nine-Tailed
So you know how people say new generation of k drama male actors look similar and initially I didn't pay attention to it but then I noticed stuff and by stuff I mean
If Song Kang and Kim Min Jae played brothers and Lee Do Hyun played their cousin - I would believe it
And I have already spoken about how Ahn Bo Hyun and Ahn Hyo Seop looking similar
And don't get me started on Kim Seung Cheol and and Lee Sang Yi because it was after our beloved summer got over I realised it wasn't the same actor from Hometown Cha Cha Cha
And this makes me think - if korean drama industry has become more conscious about looks - yes, more than usual because of eyeballs that Korean dramas grabs on a global level. And if that's the case how many talented actors are loosing a chance to get opportunities simply because how they look cannot be marketed as the ideal "oppa" certain people want.

Hey I'm sorry to ask, but do you have updates for korean dramas? I can't find the link to your old one but also maybe some newer suggestions? (It's okay if you don't!)
It’s cool, I can do a new one! These are all in the order that I watched them in!
WARNING: LONG POST AHEAD
1. Coffee Prince ( A great choice for a first k-drama)
Choi Han-gyul is the grandson of chairwoman Bang of Dong-in Foods, a company that has a thriving coffee business. He has never had a job and does not care for responsibility. Han-gyul is hung up on his first love, Han Yoo-joo, who only sees him as a friend. Go Eun-chan is a 24-year-old tomboy who is often mistaken for a guy. Her father died when she was 16 years old and since then she has taken over as the breadwinner in her family. When Han-kyul and Eun-chan meet, he, not knowing that she is a girl, decides to hire her to pretend to be his gay lover so that he can escape the blind dates arranged by his grandmother.
2. Cinderella with four knights
Eun Ha Won is a bright college student who dreams of becoming a teacher. Unfortunately, she loses her mother in a tragic accident, moves in with a cruel stepmother, and has no money for her education. One day, she helps an old man and as fate would have it, moves into a gorgeous mansion with three equally gorgeous men, who also happen to be billionaire cousins and heirs to the Kang family fortune. Between the rebel-minded loner Kang Ji Woon, playboy money machine Kang Hyun Min and the super-sweet singer Kang Seo Woo, Eun Ha Won finds herself in the middle of the hottest love quadrangle to ever befall a modern fairy tale princess. Rounding out the mansion’s chaebol lifestyle are Lee Yoon Sung, who serves as the cousins’ handsome bodyguard, and Park Hye Ji, a gorgeous girl who has her own interests in the Kang family and is not above manipulating one cousin to get closer to another.
3. Bride of the century
Taeyang Group is the largest conglomerate in South Korea. The Choi family who runs Taeyang has supposedly been under a curse for a hundred years that the first bride of the eldest son will always die. When the wealthy heiress Jang Yi-kyung disappears right before her wedding to chaebol heir Choi Kang-joo , Na Doo-rim , a lookalike impostor, is brought in to take her place. Unlike the cold and calculating Yi-kyung, Doo-rim is sweet and sunny, and Kang-joo genuinely falls in love with her. As the wedding plans progress, Kang-joo and Yi-kyung’s mothers both scheme and plot behind the scenes will the romance gets more complicated with the secret of not being the real Jang Yu-kyung.
4. Strong woman Do Bong Soon
Do Bong-soon was born with superhuman strength. Her strength is hereditary and passed along only to the women in her family. Her dream is to create a video game with herself as the main character. She desperately wants to become a delicate and elegant woman, which is the ideal type of her crush, In Guk-doo, a police officer. Thanks to her strength, she gets a job as bodyguard to rich heir Ahn Min-hyuk, the CEO of a gaming company, Ainsoft. In contrast to Guk-doo, Min-hyuk is an eccentric man who is playful, a little spoiled, has no regard for rules, and dislikes policemen. He has recently received anonymous threats and has even been stalked, leading him to hire Bong-soon as his bodyguard after seeing her beat up a bunch of men after they threatened an old man who was an elementary school bus driver. A series of kidnapping cases soon happen in Dobong-dong, the district Bong-soon lives in, and she is determined to catch the culprit, who targeted her best friend. With help and training from Min-hyuk, she manages to control her strength to use it for good causes. Min-hyuk and Bong-soon find their relationship growing into something more.
5. My secret romance
Jin-wook and Yoo-mi meet at a Gangwon-do resort and get caught up in a series of misunderstandings and accidents. Yoo-mi is there to attend her mother’s second wedding while Jin-wook is there working as a bellhop (a position given to him by his Chairman father to teach him responsibility.) Yoo-mi is charmed by Jin-wook’s sly and playful personality, and they unexpectedly spend the night together. However, Yoo-mi disappears in the morning, leaving Jin-wook feeling perplexed and insulted. Three years later, the two meet again when Yoo-mi becomes a nutritionist at the company cafeteria where Jin-wook works. It seems that once a playboy Jin-wook, has given up his carefree life and works at the company owned by his father. He has feelings for Yoo-mi and has kept her bra-pad as a memory of the night that they spent together. At first, he is strict toward her, though it is only because he is looking for reasons to be near her. He later confesses this to her and agrees to wait for her.
6. Scarlet heart ryeo ( One of my all time favourites)
During a total solar eclipse, a 25-year-old 21st-century woman, Go Ha-jin, is transported back in time to the Goryeo Dynasty. She wakes up in the year of 941 in the body of Hae Soo, among the many royal princes of the ruling Wang family. She initially falls in love with the gentle and warm-hearted 8th Prince Wang Wook, and later Wang So, the fearsome 4th Prince who hides his face behind a mask and is given the derogatory label of “wolf dog.” As the story develops, Hae Soo finds herself unwittingly caught between the rivalry and politics among the princes over the fight for the throne, an she stay alive long enough for a happy ending?
7. Falling for innocence

However, Min Ho has his own story of how he became evil - it was because of his uncle’s betrayal. His father was overthrown by his uncle and it caused his family to hit bottom. But he still pursues his plan to get revenge on his uncle even though his emotions get in the way at times. He gradually learns the meaning of happiness when he finds Soon Jung, whom he wants to cherish and protect. His heart becomes tender and his eyes swell with tears when as he works with her. He falls in love with her without realising it.

The problem is that she has no belief in the gods and initially mistakes him for suffering from delusions. Things get even stranger when the wind god Bi-ryeom, the water goddess Mu-ra, and the semi-god Hu-ye show up to complicate things
9. Weightlifting fairy Kim Bok Joo
Kim Bok-Joo is a promising collegiate female weightlifter. Her father runs a small chicken restaurant and her uncle wants to become an actor. She has a bright personality and strong sense of justice. Kim Bok-Joo and her friends on the female weightlifting team are not popular with the guys and they don’t have boyfriends. He is 21-years-old and has a free spirit. His uncle and aunt raised him along with his cousin Jung Jae-Yi. One day on campus, Kim Bok-Joo bumps into Jung Joon-Hyung while he is riding his bicycle. Her face looks familiar to Jung Joon-Hyung. After he leaves, Kim Bok-Joo picks up a handkerchief left behind by Jung Joon-Hyung. The handkerchief is very important to him and he begins looking for it. Later, Kim Bok-Joo cleans and irons the handkerchief. She goes to the school’s swimming pool and gives back his handkerchief, but he explodes with anger when he sees that she cleaned it. Kim Bok-Joo then falls into the swimming pool and Jung Joon-Hyung jumps into the pool to save her. At that moment, Kim Bok-Joo and Jung Joon-Hyung realize where they have seen each other before. When they were both children, Kim Bok-Joo saved Jung Joon-Hyung’s life by catching him before he fell to the ground. What happens now they know each other?

12. Terius behind me (Another favourite!)

Hong Shim is then forced to marry Won Deuk to save her village from drought, due to beliefs in that era where natural disasters are a result of an unmarried woman’s misery. The tough side soon comes out as she is fired, much to Do Min-Ik’s regret he soon discovers that he’s going to need her more than ever and discovers a new side to her in the process.
16. W - Two worlds ( Really recommended!! )
A love story of two people split apart in different worlds connected by a webtoon. The series focuses on the eponymous fictional webtoon entitled W, written and illustrated by its legendary author and illustrator Oh Seong-moo. W became famous in the entire South Korea, the storyline of the webtoon W starts with the younger years of its main character Kang Chul, a handsome and intelligent boy who is also skilled in shooting. He becomes famous as he won a shooting competition during the 2004 Athens Olympics but this fame gets ruined when his entire family was killed by an unknown Murderer, and then framed for it. Another villain Han Cheol-ho handles the case to gain political popularity, pronouncing in court to impose death penalty upon Kang Chul. Nevertheless, Kang Chul was deemed innocent of the crime. Depressed over losing his family, he attempts to commit suicide over the Han River but he stops himself and chooses to move on with his life.Ten years later, Kang Chul becomes a multimillionaire, starting his “Project W” in his continuous efforts to catch the real culprit behind his family’s death; part of the project is his television broadcasting company dubbed “W,” after the initials of the interrogatives “who” and “why” (hence, the title of the webtoon). One night, he receives a suspicious phone call and gets severely injured by the same mysterious Murderer at the rooftop of his penthouse, only to be saved by a mysterious girl, none other than the authors daughter. How did she get there? Why is she there? How will they become entangled?
17. My contracted husband Mr Oh
Han Seung-Joo (Uee) is a single woman in her mid 30’s who works as a PD at a broadcasting station. She does well at her job, but is not nearly as good when it comes to housework. Their marriage is not based on love, but their relationship develops romantically after several twists and turns.
18. Marriage contract ( For those who love to cry, seriously heartbreak ahead )

Han Ji-hoon is the son of a chaebol who seeks a contract marriage in order to save his mother, who needs a liver transplant. When Hye-soo is diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor, she agrees to marry Ji-hoon and donate part of her liver to his mother, in exchange for enough money to provide for her daughter until she reaches adulthood. Han Ji-Hoon is driving along when Hye-Soo is almost hit saving her 7 year old daughter Eun-Seong, He rushes her to the hospital as she faints however while she is being tested the Manager of the restaurant Han Ji-Hoon owns Ho-Joon tells him might be a scam and to make sure she is really hurt. He chases Hye-Soo when she is leaving, where he almost catches her but she in the end hides in Han Ji-Hoon’s car with Eun-Seong. Han Ji-Hoon’s mother has been rushed to the hospital where they find out that if she doesn’t get a liver transplant she will die but she is way down on the list so Han Ji-Hoon decides to marry a Hye-Soo she agrees so she can pay off her debt and also make sure Eun-Seong has money to grow up on as she gets the results back from when she fainted and she has a brain tumour. Eun-Seong in the beginning doesn’t like Han Ji-Hoon but she warms up to him as the pretend relationship blossoms into something real.
BONUS
19. 200 pounds beauty
Han-Na is a very large girl with a warm heart. She also possesses an unbelievable voice. Han-Na wants to become a pop-singer, but due to her extra-large appearance, can only work as a faceless singer. She provides the vocals for a popular singer named Amy, a beautiful young lady that can’t carry a note to save her life.Han-Na is also in love with Amiys music producer, Sang-Joon, but it’s a one-sided love. One day, Han-Na is invited to Sang-Joon’s birthday party and receives a red dress from him to wear to his party. Han-Na is excited, yet scared. The dress is revealing and quite extravagant. With her very large figure, she is not sure if she can wear such an outfit. Han-Na does eventually go to the birthday party in the red dress, but is mortified when petite Amy appears in the same red dress. During the course of the birthday party, Han-Na absorbs more emotional trauma and she simply disappears for one year. Han-Na then returns as the beautiful Jenny, a beautiful stunner who decides to make it on her own in the industry but encounters her once sided love. Will she be a success? Will her feelings get in the way and can she keep the guilt of the consequences of what her change brings?
20. Takane to Hana ( Japanese )
A tv show adapted from a manga ( that I particularly loved). After her older sister refuses to go to an arranged marriage meeting with Takane Saibara, the heir to a vast business fortune, high schooler Hana Nonomura agrees to be her stand-in to save face for the family. But what happens when Hana meets Takane is an unexpected pairing of utter opposites! Although it seemed a little rushed at the end it was a nice tv show!

Second male leads I have SLS for
I just felt like making this post bc our boys deserve some love. They’re ranked by a combination of how much I love them and how much I rooted for them to get the girl (or in a couple cases guy).
Nam Seon Ho - My Country: The New Age I love his gay bastard ass. He just wanted a boyfriend and for everyone to stop bullying him and I sympathize. He, Hwi, and Sung Rok were the real love triangle in that show prove me wrong.
Sam Maek Jong - Hwarang: Poet Warrior Youth I love Park Seo Joon to death but I really adore Maek Jong as a character and I love Park Hyung Sik to an equal extent. That scene where he offered to run away with her? I would’ve fallen for him instantly. I really wanted him to get the girl to the extent that I read Hwarang fanfiction lmao.
Baek In Ho - Cheese in the Trap Sweet sweet boy. Never did anything wrong his entire life. Main boy on the other hand? Violent sociopath. I will not be accepting any arguments on that opinion.
Kang Joon Hee - Reply 1997 We don’t talk about him enough honestly. He’s canon in love with the male lead and it’s honestly so heart breaking how he loves him without asking for anything. When he confesses to him but let’s it get passed off as a joke it makes me so sad. Also hes just so baby and sweet I love him.
Kang Sin Jae - The King: Eternal Monarch He’s not higher on the list because KEM isn’t over so there’s more to know about him but like I really wish he’d end up with the girl because they’re dynamic is so much more interesting and he’s such an interesting character to me. I even drew their hug lol.
Seo Ha Joon - Cheer Up/Sassy Go Go I honestly haven’t watched this drama in a long time so I don’t remember much. I do remember really wishing him happiness because his home life was so heartbreaking and his crush on the main girl was so incredibly sweet.
Nam Eun Gi - Her Private Life I just thought he was incredibly sweet and his friendship with Deok Mi and Seon Joo was so fun, because they’re dynamic was so fun. I also found his teasing really cute and his confession was so romantic “I can wait for you” like aw qt (also that shower scene got me like 0_0) . His ending was so adorable, he and Cindy are such a cute couple, so given that he gets a better ending than some of the men higher on this list (despite that i love him so much) he is here at number 7 because I am satisfied with his ending.
In Guk Doo - Strong Woman Do Bong Soon I found Guk Doo’s crush so relatable and I thought he just really deserved a happy ending after what he went through with his girlfriend. Also his one-that-got-away menality towards Bong Soon was a lil tragic and I felt for him.
Park Jung Woo - Temperature of Love He would be higher on this list because I rooted for him so hard (I teared up at the scene where he dreams of what they’d be like together) but I was Not ok with the way he treated Jung Sun at all. He basically asked for permission before attempting to compete for the girl which I respect but like when he provoked Jung Sun into punching him I was so pissed off.
Baek Kyung - Extraordinary You Unpopular opinion but just because his character development was complex and he was conflicted doesn’t mean he didn’t develop. I didn’t want him with the girl but I really rooted for his development, his realization and struggle with his feelings were believable even if I didn’t support his decisions. His final scene was a deserved ending to his arc.
Han Woo Tak - While You Were Sleeping A baby boy, beautiful cinnamon roll
Kang Seo Woo - Cinderella and the Four Knights I think its touching that he never confesses his feelings, and he’s also a sweetie. I love him and the friend together, they’re mad cute.
Ma Wang Joon - Absolute Boyfriend He was a jerk at times but I really sympathized with his reasons for breaking up. I didn’t finish this show but I hoped he would get a good ending.
Lee Tae Seong - Playful Kiss I remember almost nothing about this show except that I hated the male lead with a passion and I remember feeling like the main girl’s crush on him was wildly unhealthy and she needed to have a life outside of liking him. So I felt she’d be better off with this guy.
Honorable Mentions:
Ko Choeng Myung - Hotel Del Luna He’s here because he’s not technically a second male lead but I loved him, The scene where he died made me cry and I think about it A Lot.
Wang Wook - Scarlet Heart Ryeo Only first few episodes Wook though, because unpopular opinion number two: he wasn’t that bad at first even though I always loved So waaay more.
Woo Do Hwan’s character (he’s unnamed lmao) - Dramaworld Also not technically the second male lead but he is in the drama that dramaworld is inside so ??? anyway he’s literally only here because he’s Woo Do Hwan lol and also he gets the girl!!!!
Park Hae Jin - 7 First Kisses You could argue that he’s not a second male lead because there isn’t really a male lead here, you could also argue that Lee Min Ho is the male lead and therefore there are 6 second male leads. Either way Park Hae Jin, Lee Jong Suk, and Kai were my favorites.
Jo Yeong - The King: Eternal Monarch He’s literally only here because he’s not technically the second male lead but his unrequited love for Lee Gon is just so amazing that if he were a second male lead I would put him right up there with Sin Jae but alas.
Wang Jung - Scarlet Heart Ryeo He made some questionable decisions but ultimately he helped her get away from the palace, loved her, and took care of her without ever asking for more. Definitely better than Wook lmao I know I put first few episodes Wook on here but don’t get me wrong, after he character develops, I hate that guy.
Thanks for reading yet another of my dumb lists! Hope you vibe with my dumbass opinions lol. Have a wonderful day! <3
