I have this first design of one of the antagonists of my jjk oc lore.

This design is the first of four designs. This one represents her in the flashback arc about Toji's past.

Personality:

Junko appears incredibly calm and composed in her manners, she barely does hand gestures while speaking often maintaining a soft smile and a soft voice.

Even if someone could have the impression of her flirting with them Junko can stay distant and strict even with her soft facial expressions and relaxing tone of voice.

Especially when she was younger she knew to be a beautiful woman and wanted to express it always caring about her physical appearance given also from the fact that she was raised in a noble family.

She is so good at looking self confident, Junko looks incredibly secure of her ideas and thoughts considering also  her social status and the fact that she was the wife of the head of the clan. She seems to be caring but actually she shows no empathy for the other clan members, especially Ogi Zen'in and Toji Fushiguro while she acted as an highly manipulative woman towards Jin'ichi Zen'in and her own sons not seeing them actually as humans but only caring about their own strength, techniques and purposes.

Naoya was her favorite among her sons and she made him to believe that he could do everything he wanted in his life, even justifying his orribile behaviors, she wanted him to become the head of the clan and felt betrayed when Naobito gave to Megumi the title. But despite her condescending manners towards Naoya and the other sons she barely showed genuine affection to them having to raise them all almost the same time.

Junko has strong and controversial ideas thinking about the supremacy of cursed techniques and the desire to arrive to stronger techniques. That's why she brutally gaslight Ogi and his wife for having daughters "not strong enough". She is completely obsessed by strength given by the cursed energy and she is scared by everything that goes in a different way like the people affected by the heavenly restriction: she is horrified by Toji because, for her, he is the "black sheep" and the "different one" and even if she looks so self confident she is highly insecure and scared from what she doesen't know and tries to find a scapegoat like Toji or Maki.

Being a  woman doesen't mean not being misogynistic: Junko shows a lot of interiorized misogyny especially towards Hanako,  she always tells her to shut up in presence of the other family members especially if men and to have a better language in front of them, trying to teach her how a woman should  behave. She has similar behavior to Mariko and Mai.

Rarely Junko has a physically violent side that tries to hide but it was showed with the death of Naoya: Junko brutally kicked the corpse of Maki's mother after discovering that she killed her son, revealing her unhinged disorder hidden too much.

Role in the story

Probably born in a side family or a distant relative of the Zen'in family (they can pratice inbreeding sadly) Junko knew from the start that she would have been the wife of an important member of the Zen'in clan. Even  with her destiny already decided by others she managed to find the advantages of marrying Naobito: he would guarantee a life in luxury and she didn't mind giving him some sons and daughters.

After not much time from the marriage Junko had the first sons, Yutaka was the can leader and she was scared that he could pass the title to Ogi and not her husband.

Fortunately for her the first son and daughter of Ogi born dead while the sons of Junko had a good health even if for now none of them inherited the projection sorcery.

Junko considered poisoning Ogi as an option but he was weaker than Naobito that maybe would have become the head of the clan, instead of that she started to poison Yutaka slowly killing him that was obliged early to give to Naobito the title since his sons Toji and Jin'ichi weren't enough to become leaders. Junko discovered that also Ogi poisoned Yutaka at the same time contributing to kill him and trying to do the same with Naobito but being discovered by her.

The final victory was hers and when Maki and Mai were born she found another reason to bother Ogi and his wife.

Before that when she was pregnant of her latest sons she got close to Jin'ichi taking advantage to the absence of Yutaka as a father, making him to see her as a mother and slowly manipulating him with the purpose of putting him against Toji, she was horrified by Toji and wanted to throw him out of the family. Jin'ichi became incredibly envious of his younger brother even despising him for not having a technique.

That time young Jin'ichi had a future wife: Mariko, Junko convinced him that she was cheating on him with a member of the clan Kamo and pushed him to kill Mariko and to give all the fault to Toji, she also managed to provide to false proofs for it.

In 2007-08 Junko was one of the first Zen'in clan members that wanted Hanako to marry her last son Naoya. Even with this she was cruel with her also imposing her "feminine" clothes and manners. She was killed by Hanako's fans  ten years later after trying to escape with Naoki and brutally kicking the corpse of Maki's mother after she discovered that she killed her favorite son(she came to visit the rest of clan discovering that they were all killed). She didn't oppose any resistance to Hanako.

Cursed technique

Drain: Junko's cursed technique allows her to suck up the cursed energy and vital strength from the opponent but only if they are wounded. After that she is obliged to pass the cursed energy and vital strength stolen to another person touching them. If she doesen't pass the cursed energy to others there will be bad consequences for her body. She can suck up the vital strength even from injured animals and the cursed energy from injured curses, she can also take the cursed energy present in an area.

Yoshi Lore!

Inumaki Yoshida is a Grade 1 sorcerer with the Cursed Speech ability! He's 29 years old and a part-time assistant teacher at Tokyo Jujutsu High! He's Toge's second cousin and in line to be considered for the position for the next Inumaki Clan head due to his abilities and family status.

While Cursed Speech is a powerful and effective technique, it has it's own risks and drawbacks, as already explained in the JJK canon lore.

There are two things that set Yoshi apart from other Cursed Speech users:

The amount of cursed energy he has and the control he has over it

Reverse Cursed Technique

Compared to other sorcerers, Yoshi has a substantial amount of cursed energy. While it isn't as much as Gojo’s or bottomless like Yuta's, it's still considered above average. Additionally, he has incredible control over it.

As a Cursed Speech user, this means that he can use more dangerous and powerful commands without needing to worry about the backlash. Unlike Toge who has a much more limited vocabulary and set of commands, Yoshi is freely able to command curses or opponent to die, explode, get crushed, etc. He can, of course, also use simpler and less harmful commands like stop, run, sleep, etc.

Yoshi specializes in mid/long range combat. Because of the way that Cursed Speech works, it's safer for the user to keep their opponent at a distance, as any damage to the vocal cords could disable their ability to use their technique.

Even though Yoshi can expertly control the output of his cursed energy, he isn't suited for intense, long lasting fights (unless he's being bolstered by a supportive technique like Utahime's).

He has excellent speed and stamina, which makes him nimble and difficult to target, but his physical strength is by far his weakest attribute. Yoshi doesn't do well in hand-to-hand combat, and his skill with cursed tools is also limited. He's working on improving in these areas by training with his older brother, Akihiko, as well as Gojo and Kusakabe.

In terms of overall ability, Yoshi is a formidable and skilled grade 1 sorcerer. He's not as well balanced as someone like Nanami, or Itadori, but he's still on par with other sorcerers at his level.

While there are ways to defend against Cursed Speech (like covering one's ears and brain with their own cursed energy), what places Yoshi at a higher level is his control over cursed energy and his impressive stamina. This puts him in danger somewhat of being a glass cannon, so to speak, but his reverse cursed technique counteracts most of the downsides of his innate technique.

One of the major drawbacks inherent in the Inumaki clan's hereditary technique is the physical strain it puts on the user's body; it takes incredible focus to not only control one's own cursed energy, but to aim it in a precise manner when imbuing words with curses. Furthermore, the risk of possibly sustaining backlash via one's own commands is what makes Cursed Speech a double-edged sword.

Because Yoshi is able to heal himself using reverse cursed technique, he doesn't have to worry about carrying around external aids like throat medicine, or be concerned about severe backlash. The only exceptions are Special Grade curses and curse users.

Of course, depending on the type of curse he's up against, Yoshi may struggle against Grade 1 curses if their strength rivals or surpasses his own.

However, Yoshi's control over his cursed energy is so refined, he can target enemies from further distances without having his commands affect bystanders, civilians, or his own allies. It takes incredible focus to target enemies out of sight, and Yoshi was only able to achieve the ability to do so within the last two years.

Because of his cursed energy control, Yoshi is able to speak relatively normally. He communicates primarily using a combination of sign-language and short sentences. He can carry small-talk, but he mostly speaks in single sentences or one-word answers, and with a limited vocabulary.

Things such as "good morning!" or "how are you?" or "I'm on my way," or "I'll take care of it." are completely safe to use because there is no inherent power behind those words compared to phrases lie "be quiet!", "go away!" or "stop!" which, while statements, are inherently commands and can be imbued with cursed energy.

Yoshi can order food in a restaurant with no problem (usually), but he can't participate in karaoke because the risk of accidentally commanding someone to do something is much higher.

Sometimes, if he's feeling irritable, overwhelmed, or not in the mood to deal with people (usually higher ups or older clan-members), Yoshi will use certain phrases (that are harmless) like "leave me alone" or "go to sleep" to get out of situations. He has absolutely gotten in trouble for this in the past and I like to headcanon that he's told at least one person to shit themselves.

- [ ] Appearance-

Hair: Red, with tinges of orange

Clothes: lots of baggy sweatshirts, and hoodies, along with baggy pants. Has earrings, and multiple piercings but only wears them on nights out. (Or when she has downtime). Shoes are typically doc martins, or combat boots. Makeup is normally casual, or nothing at all. Very simple.

- [ ] Other things to note

- she does not use a last name, she would rather forget about the whole incident involving her parents passing. Therefore, no one truly knows her last name, except for Suguru Geto. As it stands, he hasn’t said a word about it.

- She has a soft spot for the younger sorcerers. Kind of the same as Gojo, she wants them to live a happy life and still be able to manage themselves on their own in battle. She hates seeing the younger generation struggle under the fingertips of the ‘higher ups’.

- [ ] Ability-

Her ability is a good mixture of Megumi’s shikigami, mainly the wolves, and Suguru’s ability to swallow curses. ‘Best’ of both worlds. She can tame most curses, due to her Shikigami helping her weaken them. Once she tames them, she keeps them around for either practice for herself, or the kids at the schools, or keeps them in case she needs a lookout on missions. As for the shikigami. She has the Divine Dogs, but they’re more or less Dire wolves. Her main Shikigami that she uses is named:

Osiris. He’s an auburn colored dire wolf, with bright white-ish/blue eyes, that look as if the aurora borealis is in them.

Her other Shikigami’s that she’s tamed include:

- a snake, named Siren. He’s a reticulated python, but also 10 feet long. Rainbow scales, that resemble oil slick. The snakes ability allows her to defeat smaller curses by the snake swallowing them head, or ass, first.

- A ferret/stout named, Onyx. He’s solid black, but can control his colorings. Blending into whatever surroundings he’s in, for secretive missions, or lookout missions, or even laid back stalking the enemy.

- And last but not least, her last resort. Which is a massive fox, that uses an immense amount of cursed energy and causes her to suffer from it. He’s about 20 feet tall, has three tails, and red eyes/red markings around his face (think Okami ((ameteresu)) from the game Okami.)

- [ ] Personality-

Attitude/Mindset: Sophisticated, and tactical mind. Competitive but knows when to walk away from a fight she can’t win. Tends to be sneaky around people she doesn’t trust, and has issues with trusting anyone in general because of her past. Very calm demeanor, with a violent tendency when needed. She’s lethally aware of her surroundings and tends to keep quiet most of the time. Allowing everyone else to find trouble, and her complete the task at hand.

Sexuality: pansexual, but mainly attracted to powerful women.

Religion: none, she is her own religion.

- [ ] LORE

She lived in the same, unpredictable village that Suguru Geto had destroyed during his resentful attack on normal humans. She had been living there ever since she was born. When it burned to the ground, along with her two parents, she cowered in a corner and used her shikigami to shield her from any curses he had let loose.

She understood his motives, and played things smart. Realizing that if she showed him that their techniques were similar that she’d have a better chance of making it out of there alive. Once they became more aware of one another, he let her go. Checking up on her, and giving her food/rations when needed. She never stayed at his temple, nor honestly knew when he’d show up at her shack of a house.

Fast forward a couple years later, she met Megumi at a local book store. He felt her shikigami present, the small ferret, in her pocket and decided to speak to her about it. Ever since then, they had only been good friends with one another. She was introduced to Jujutsu Tech that way.

Once the Shibuya incident happened, she was working for Jujutsu Tech, alongside Megumi Fushiguro, and Maki Zenin. Honing in on her technique, and also learning close combat from Maki. She trained alongside Yuta Okkotsu as well, leaning the skills of swordsmanship with a Katana she has strapped to her back at all times.

She had been around Gojo Satoru, a couple of instances while on missions, and had helped them scout out some powerful curses. She had never mentioned Suguru to him, but also knew that they had once known each other before the Shibuya incident. The only curses she had encountered are ones slightly below a special grade. Which, truth be told, she is completely capable of handling anything below special grade, but struggles with transfigured humans and such. Her empathy gets in between her resolve. She loves solo missions, because she can use her full potential and grade herself as she goes. As for her grade in sorcery, she’s the same as Megumi.

As for now, she peacefully lives on campus, and trains other younger sorcerers and goes on missions with Megumi, and Yuji.

Training herself to be as equally strong as any of her opponents.

brief history of my characters in IKIGAI

They first started as Shu Zihan and Yuze. There are heavily inspired by Toji and Megumi from JJK. The story was simple, 'Zihan' was an assassin trying to get his life together for his son. I also decided back then that 'Zihan' almost got killed by 'Yuze's' mother by slicing his throat. I think its pretty idiotic now.

This was 'Yuze's' mother, 'Lucia'. The setting of the story was supposed to be in America but I later changed it just because lol. She was one of 'Zihan's' clients.

Then, my artstyle changed and so did the characters and story. The setting was now settled in Japan and 'Lucia' turned transracial and became japanese/j.

Zihan —> Xiaoli,

Yuze —> Lian and Lucia—> Hanako

The plot remained the same but I managed to add more characters. Camilla, an afro-latina that immigrated in Japan and decided to have a life in the criminal world. She is a very integral part of Xiaoli's "love" life. There are also other characters but their not that written well yet.

I started expanding more on Xiaoli. Basically I decided: stubborn bastard turned to a father with an unwanted child then a "better" person. A very important event in 2001 led him to care more for his son and despise Hanako as shown.

In the present, the story is a mess hahaha(even though I had an okay premise back then and established goal). Iam reworking a lot of aspects in the story. By the end of the year, I hope I'll have a fully settled lore.

Well yeah.

I managed to finish this waking up earlier so I can study. I struggled with ibispaint a lot because It blocked and crashed everytime. Anyway I tried something angst, since Hanako's lore has some strong themes, well I didn't initially wanted to add these but there was a particular context that made the villains of the lore (the Zen'in clan) to act in a not very good way towards Hanako, especially Naoya, and I tried to "write" them as close as possibile to the Canon material, they are the villains after all! The higher-ups aren't good too since they wanted to use Hanako as a death machine while the Zen'in wanted to use her for breeding too. The Jujutsu society can be shit really.

Development notes

This post has been in the making since last year, before the manga has reached its current arc. My aim was to respond to comments that pointed out that my version of that time didn't look like the one in the anime. I calculate everything I do and the way I do it. My current goal is to share my thoughts on the development of my take on him - simply because I'm a nerd when it comes to anatomy and I love figuring things out. It involves a lot of thinking, questioning, analysis, dissecting information and building theories. So I totally understand if it's not anyone's cup of tea.

MANGA SPOILER WARNING

The very beginning

I used to have a serious case of lack of self-confidence. My earliest art of Sukuna dates back to 2021, but it always felt like my skills are not worthy of this particular character. I never shared my art. I was also struggling to find my artistic voice. I was obsessed with the idea of semi-realism, but even if I managed to pull it off after weeks of stylisation practices, I didn't like the results.

Due to personal reasons, I stopped trying to draw him for a long time.

The development of "my" version

It was an entirely conscious decision to draw him differently.

The top reasons for the change was that I didn't want to sexualise him in his host, Yuuji, who is a minor. Back then I thought he inflicted the deformation on himself (extra limbs, eyes, etc), for the sake of efficiency, and I was curious what he looked like before that - or what he would look like in a civilised environment.

During the process, I considered a number of factors:

the beauty standard of the other JJK men - I wanted him to fit the lineup - his original appearance made him stand out quite much

in a setting where he adheres to the rules of society, more or less, I believe his MBTI personality type (ENTJ) would dictate a lot of his choices when it comes to appearance, at least to a certain extent. I thought he would choose to have an appearance that fits the beauty standards of the era

I kept his tattoos because it's a very distinguishing feature of him, but I also exercise freedom in the way I draw them, to make them as stylish as possible

Reincarnation

I used to believe once he reincarnates, his proportions would be closer to that of a "normal" human, even if he has some extra limbs. However, his size and features are above and beyond of what we are used to, and even the story emphasises their malformed appearance. So a a whole new era of Sukuna started in my art. I chose my favourite manga panels of him and mix-and-matched the most attractive features into a figure that I consider on the fine edge of monstrosity and unconventional handsomeness.

Even when I draw him with a regular number of limbs, I keep his usual mass and proportions. I dubbed this form "true gains" form.

I also realised that some of the tattoos Yuuji's body displayed was a product of the partial reincarnation stage, like we see it on Tsumiki's forehead.

NOTE: Did anyone notice that Sukuna is getting progressively more and more human/handsome in the manga? When he took over Megumi's body, I also noticed that as the story progressed, he started to look older and more mature. I'm curious of it was a conscious decision.

Twin dilemma and speculations

According to the Japanese wikipedia page, the mythical figure Sukuna could have been a conjoined twin. Despite my extensive digging in the matter, I was shocked by the recent lore drop.

My question: what does Sukuna look like in a universe where he did not absorb his twin in the womb during development?

It hasn't been confirmed, but I find it very possible now that he was born with his extra limbs, eyes and mouth, as well as the deformed, wide features. (...as opposed to my first theory about him altering his own body for the sake of efficiency)

This, however, would mean that in a universe where both him and his brother are born healthily, he would look different. There is the obvious lack of extra arms, eyes and mouth - but I believe he would also be closer to the JJK beauty standard of men, as far as proportions go (eg. more narrow face, anime-esque nose, larger eyes).

At first I was hesitant to accept this idea, as I'm very attached to the 4-arm hulk / "true gains" form now, but then I realised: this would mean that "my"version of him actually has logically explainable place in at least an alternate universe.

Leon will now move away from Corland Bay when he’s 10 years old. Originally, I never really put that much thought into it because it won't be explicitly mentioned in the game, but I figured I might as well make it more accurate now ^^;

Teo is now 26 (instead of 27). Again, zero thought went into this aside from wanting a wider range of ages for the cast — but now I want him to be closer to Jae and Violet’s age — especially considering they were all childhood friends and Violet was in the grade below them.

Elanor is now 30 and Kiara is 29. In the 2017 version, Elanor was originally the eldest sister, but it just didn't feel right to change it in the 2020 version. Day 3 will still be lore accurate, but everything on this blog will need to be retconned.

14DWY Purple (unofficial) will now be changing from #A14BF4 to #9D64FD.

Not a change, but adding more clarification: Angel will still attend university (and Jae and Teo will still be their university friend), but whether or not they enrolled will remain ambiguous! Day 1/2 kinda insinuates that they studied something ("Teo attended some of their classes"), but I wanted it to imply that they could've attended orientation and/or took "mock classes" after high school to see what it's like as well. I may change a few lines in the demo (in the future) to reflect that.

I'd like to (hopefully) try to remind everyone that whenever I write about Angel on this blog, they are gender neutral. Because if my ass had a dollar for every time someone assumed they were female because of the cutesy/pink themes or how "soft" I made the MC, I'd have enough money to fund voice actors, translators, custom soundtrack, and pay the $100 Steam fee /hj

Also not a change, but to solidify Haruko's appearance + Ren's likeness a bit more... Haruko is supposed to be an anime character with pink/blue hair, blue eyes, and fair skin. He's a modern day "sorcerer" (a reference to JJK, not a literal fantasy wizard lmao) from an anime called "Attack on Giants" (another reference to "Attack on Titan"); and is very kind, ditzy, and empathetic. All Ren has copied is his hairstyle, vibe, and demeanour. Ren isn't outright cosplaying Haruko, and it'd take an avid anime enjoyer to notice that Ren is attempting to mimic Haruko.

I'll make a poll one day, but I might change Ren's left sleeve tattoo to the spoiler-free placeholder I used in this artwork. A lot of people seem to prefer it, but I'll wait until the poll to make any final decisions.

I might also make another poll to see if perhaps a new BGM theme would better suit the demo. Because in my mind, the "summer/beach location" = acoustic guitar (rather than piano) — and for some reason I get lo-fi vibes from 14DWY??

I don't think anyone has picked up on this subtle shift yet, but Ren will mainly use "he/him" over "he/they" now (since Haruko is a he/him enjoyer 👍). [REDACTED], however, will still greatly prefer "they/he", and will continue to use them interchangeably.

I'm gonna cut down on the Teo and Ren bullying on this blog (and in general). I don't find it fun anymore, and it genuinely upsets me when people put down certain characters to make others look better (i.e. "Ren has no ass which makes Leon superior >:)" Just say you like Leon... I beg T_T). It also makes me doubt whether Ren is genuinely a good character or not, and it's gross seeing y'all tear down people who genuinely enjoy Teo. Be kind.

The current landlord has always been a meme-y placeholder (I thought the idea would be funny), but looking at how the game is currently, I want 14DWY to be more "serious". The current landlord will eventually be turned into an easter egg!!

Whether or not Jae had bottom surgery will now remain ambiguous. Everyone is now free to headcanon whatever they'd like, so long as it's not offensive or too OOC.

From now on, I'll also try my best to remind everyone that Jae is gay and Kiara is lesbian. I tried not to bring it up frequently because I was afraid it'd come across like "being gay" was their only defining personality trait, but I'm tired of people sending in asks that don't apply to these characters ^^;

I might move all of the curiouscat questions to this blog and archive the account. It's becoming too much of a hassle for me to manage 3+ social media accounts sgkshjj

Here’s a super simplified family tree to show how Yoshi is related to Toge!

They’re second cousins, so they share the same great-grand-parents! However, because of the significant age gap between them (12 years’ difference!), Yoshi didn’t really start spending time with Toge until he started teaching at Tokyo Jujutsu High!

Obviously, the real clan tree is much larger and more complicated but I’m just focused on my own OC’s immediate relationships canon-wise! :3
