“Come. Lie with me”

the king of curses was.. asking you to lie with him? you hesitated, your speech faltering, but he gave you a leering smile that stifled any second thoughts. you nodded slowly, approaching the futon and settling beside him.

it baffled you. that the same man that killed people left and right upon his own whim, was asking you, out of everyone, to lie with him. it should’ve felt like an honor, but you couldn’t shake the feeling that there was a reason behind his sudden request.

your gaze soon wandered to the corner where one set of his arms lay crossed upon his chest, and his other set supporting the back of his head. he must’ve thought himself slick; from a distance, it seemed he was just gazing up at the ceiling, but his other set of eyes were half open, fixed on your figure. meeting them briefly, you quickly averted your gaze, unsettled by the conceited expression he wore.

"Why so shy, woman? I won't eat you," the king of curses grumbled.

you cleared your throat. "What... do you wish for me to do?" your voice lacking confidence.

he chuckled gutturally. "You see... Just earlier, I killed a servant for a mere glance. You wouldn’t want to meet a similar fate, would you?" his words dripped with threat, though his calm demeanor contradicted them. "Now, come closer," his primary gaze locked onto you, patting the empty area in between you two.

you complied, edging nearer. a raspy exhale escaped him as he scratched his head, his voice lowering. “That vendor.. you haven’t fallen in… love with him, have you?”

your heart skipped a beat at his words. how could he know? how had been developing feelings for the man, but you were so secretive about it that you couldn't understand how anyone could have figured it out.

“I.. don’t know what you’re talking about.” you said slowly under your breath.

“Sure you do,” He blurted out, his sudden loudness startled you. “Don’t lie to me now, concubine.”

you began to play with the hem of your gown in growing anxiety. now you were sure you would be killed. “I swear, Sukuna.. I don’t-“ your voice was cracking, breaking off into a desperate whisper before being cut off by his voice. "Good, because he's dead now."

your eyes widened in shock. it wasn't entirely unexpected, yet it still caught you off guard. "You... killed him?"

His erupted laugh bounced off the walls. "What's the matter? If you didn't love him, why are you so concerned?"

your gaze wondered away. he knew you were upset, but he couldn’t care less about your feelings. he had his priorities set on making you his. “I’m not.” you mumbled.

He leered at you, brushing hair strands off your face as your eyes glistened with tears threatening to spill. He cooed sarcastically.

“for dinner, uruame is preparing his carcass. i want to see you then, dear.”

Here it is! yet another cap of RAN and I'm going to say one of my favorites♡

This time it took me a while to think about these sketches, I didn't have a clear idea in my head but I managed to get these pieces after a while of thinking.

♡What to say about this chapter? well, little by little things between these two are progressing in their own way, Aurora is getting used to have Ryomen around and to deal with his witticisms (although she enjoys them too).

NOTE: It's a real challenge to be able to draw Sukuna sometimes haha, her body is the one that takes me the most time to do because I take care of every proportion, my head has to think her anatomy a bit distorted but I'm getting there! 😂
