I think the reason people mischaracterize megumi or any other charas is because half the fandom has no critical thinking skills and just mindlessly consumes the manga, also I feel like a lot of the discourse I see is just people arguing about current events completely disregarding the first half of the manga as if it never happened if that makes sense? like are we talking about the same character rn?😭😭

As I dive into slightly more adult content on this blog without writing full on smut I found these prompts which seemed to be right up my alley. They are from @creativepromptsforwriting, check them out! They have SO MANY great writing prompts and tips!

no bc you're so fucking right tho!!! like I've been reading jjk for a long while and the body count of the cast throughout the years has me dumbfounded, not bc they're big or anything no, but bc like most of the charas introduced are either built up as some sort of pillar that enhances the plot/growth of characters (junpei, nanami, yuki, etc.), or they seem very interesting charas that draw you in, but don't go past 10 chaps of screentime (haibara, kokichi). Then you have those who are injured and have yet given any news about their whereabouts (Nobara and Todo), and it's at this point where you just forget having hope 🫤🫤🫤 and NOW we have this and it's like ???? I think this is more so to showcase how much of a devilish threat Sukuna is, based on how much of a rise the reactions are from Yuuji and Yuuta. Yet at the same time, too many deaths in this manga already displayed that notion (esp. from Mahito), and for it to happen to another critical character? Like I get the poetic nuances of it all, I really do, and ngl I saw it coming. But the way it was executed with these leaks....idk man, I'm down to talk more about it, rn me and twt are still trying to fully comprehend it 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️

As a fan of both hunterxhunter & jjk, can I ask you somethings?

-which majority of characters will survive if their universe is swithed (jjk charas in hxh verse or hxh charas in jjk verse)

-people in jjk verse have stronger mental capacity than in hxh verse because the death rate is higher in jjk than hxh (do you agree?)

- from plot and art, which do you think is better (jjk or hxh)?

This heavily depends where in the other story they'd've been thrown in and at what point in their own story they would've been.

I believe that each Tokyo student (1st to 3rd year) apart from Megumi would pass the Hunter's exam as a first year on their first try. The Kyoto students... maybe Miwa, Toudou and Muta, the others and Megumi just don't feel like they have the kind of spirit but that doesn't mean they would die, just not pass. Also Okkutsu also lacks the spirit but he's broken power wise.

In reverse the main four of hxh would do just fine in the jujutsu schools.

But what would happen after that? That'd be on case by case basis and I personally dislike powerscaling, but I'm sure on reddit people have powerscaled the hxh vs juju characters straight to hell.

Not really, there's the same amount of death in the hxh universe it's just spaced out more in the story itself.

Less than 2 months have passed since the Shibuya Incident till the manga present and we haven't left the characters for even a moment so we're treated to their mental state in real time, it's similar to the Chimera Ant Arc when we see the deteriorating mental state of Gon and Killua. In both cases the characters are getting more desperate, more suicidal.

Gon's mental breakdown is because he loses hope to save Kite, the same what happens to Megumi when Sukuna kills Tsumiki but well Megumi has no agency and Gon has some.

Other than that characters from both stories experience fear and want to escape and many of them still stay though some quit. But in both cases it's like when they still have hope they try to carry on.

The characters struggling mentally and their trauma affecting them are some of my favourite aspects of both stories.

Neither, I think they are both great but flawed stories.

I prefer hxh's story a bit more because Togashi takes his time while Gege is kinda speed running juju, some downtime chapters would've been good and the post American invasion chapters are mostly a race to the finish line, which pains me.

Art wise I slightly prefer juju, Gege's lines are stronger, more expressive.

he is quiet. guilty. she wonders, briefly, if he would regret this decision the same way he regrets leaving you. if her absence would be as painful as yours. (because why you? why was it always you?)

but toji’s just as frustrated. just as hurting. “we’re both not happy!” his voice breaks, pattering off into a sob. he collapses on his knees, burrowing his face on his palms, willing his tears away. “we’re no longer happy. this, whatever this that we have going on—love, it’s not working.”

she wants to refute his words, to deny what is the truth. but he’s right. his efforts may have been seen as loyalty, but she knows the reality—they were just waiting for what was inevitable.

she knew. she knew their relationship has reached its end even before the guilt had twisted toji’s heart into regret. it had ended when toji demanded to be in aiko’s life again.

she had always thought of how cruel toji was to both you and her; to teeter between coming back into your life and staying in hers. she knew toji’s heart was forever split but she had hoped, even if just a bit, that toji would be fair. that toji would try for her because wasn’t he the one who chose her?

a sob tears through her lips.

toji gathers her in his embrace, hesitant arms encircling her as though afraid that she would turn away from him. but how could she? as much as she is hurting now, toji is still his beloved.

“don’t leave me,” she cries.

but all toji says is, “i’m sorry.”

Yeah, people forget that Three Hopes Claude doesn't learn what Three Houses Claude did.

(Gonna start this by saying I do not know Hopes so I'm going to speak about Houses)

Yeah. It's like if we remember his supports, especially his earlier ones with Byleth, he mentions how he was always considered an outsider so he always had to come up with may different schemes for many different situations to survive.

He came to Fodlan expecting things to be different than how he grew up and realized real quick that they were very similar despite his belief that the people of Fodlan couldn't be cowards because his mother was no coward.

I think people forget how hostile Lorenz and some other non-Golden Deer Leicester Alliance people were to Claude when he arrived, not to mention how some of the ways people talked about Almyrans despite at this point Almyra was not being aggressive at Fodlan's locket. So, I think encountering a Claude who doesn't get to spend much time with his housemates/other people, learn more about Fodlan besides immediate experiences, or that doesn't have the chance nor time to snoop around the library then I think it's plausable that we'll see a different Claude who may make more harsh decisions because he didn't have the luxury he had in Three Houses to learn
