My thoughts on JJBA OVER HEAVEN
So first of all -
it seems my JJBA binge is not over yet, I am still on the desert island and instead of their being water sources large enough to get waterboarded in like last time, I am instead finding small refreshing puddles.
This is copy pasted from my twitter so pardon if its formatted weirdly
I read the novel and- (spoilers under cut)
although it might be dubiously canon, I like it a lot that I think it should be considered so, and in my mind overrides any inconsistencies that the anime/manga may bring up. The timeline seems fucked either way you look at it, fittingly for this story I guess
I liked how it showed the evolution of his idea of ‘heaven’ and how it slowly became what Pucci defined it as. I like how it gives depth without straying from Dio’s insane villainy. and the mommy issues were certainly something as well It actually made me appreciate part 1
I have realised this while I was still watching the anime, but the novel confirms it; all the villains either represent a part of Dio, the big bad
Kars - Dio’s desire to constantly transcend his current state, humanity and whatnot, keep moving up the power scale
Kira - Dio’s idea that all humans live for ‘peace of mind’, as he puts it for himself- ‘preparedness’, knowing that the future will be fine
Diavolo - Dio’s resolve to move only forward, only towards the future
I do love how for the two Stand users, their Stands complement their motives, Kira creating time loops to ensure nothing bad happens to him, and Diavolo ‘skipping time’ to move into and foresee the future. Kira is more ‘stuck in the past’ and Diavolo is heading for the future
Dio is in the present, he merely stops time for a few seconds. It sets up the time manipulation premise in the simplest way and also gives him the further mindfuckery he needs to arrive at his conclusion
And then Pucci, the final villain, is Dio’s resolve to get to ‘heaven’, the culmination of the mindfuckery- their conclusion of it being that the definition of ‘heaven’ is obtaining peace by knowing all of the future and all of fate, and living it out in preparedness.
Their Stands are also opposite of one another, Dio stops time for a brief moment and Pucci accelerates it for all of eternity. Pucci is the kind of fucking guy to spoil the entire movie before watching it
I do love how they define fate as ‘gravity between people', and connect that to the theory of relativity (i’m always a sucker for this kind of shit) combining scientific theory with ideas of fate through a religious character is also just a cherry on top, I love it
THAT and how his Stand Whitesnake, whose powers are to extract ‘souls’ (or so to speak), is covered in the abbreviation of DNA compounds. Also fun fact whitesnake’s voice is based off of patrick star from spongebob
Overall, it was interesting to read how Dio became obsessed with the concept of fate, Ironically, were JJBA to be written with more foresight (preparedness even), then maybe Dio’s thoughts could’ve been more implemented into the story. Don’t get me wrong, he should still be his insane-cartoonishly-evil self at the same time, I love him for that. However, this novel was not written by the OG author, so who knows how canon it even is.
Another thing of note: Dio and Pucci seem to arrive at their idea of ‘heaven’ independently (you could argue Dio kind of began it by suggesting the idea of ‘gravity’ to him), but it was Pucci’s circumstances that ultimately led to it. Dio, at least for a few pages, believes that what one is born into decides everything. And they were born into vastly different situations. Dio talks a lot about his hate of nobles and ‘inheritors’ and hated both his biological and adoptive family.
Pucci is from an influential wealthy family and loved them so. Dio’s sibling was a miscarriage and Pucci’s presumed-dead-twin was actually alive. But both lived circumstances that arrived to a shared idea of ‘heaven’. Dio knows at least the deaths in Pucci’s life, I wonder if he knows his background and if knowing it would challenge or confirm his idea of fate.
I can’t help but wonder how Pucci felt reading the diary through Jotaro’s memories. Also wonder if Pucci saw how Dio died through none other than Jotaro’s memories as well.
Also i don’t know why, this is probably not what is implied cuz it wouldn’t fit characterwise(unless?) but……… did Pucci take Dio’s memory of showing him The World????? Why is it written this way and if so then adhsagdah??
Anyways if you ask me if i’m team ‘ora-ora’ or team ‘muda-muda’ its the latter for me baby

Right, so I don't know if this can be said for the Japanese version, but whenever I revisit the English translation of Purple Haze Feedback I always find myself pleasantly amused by the prose.
It is surprisingly well-written for a light novel based on an obscure character from the side-quest JoJo part.
The prose is dry and straightforward in an entertaining way that's fitting for Fugo’s POV. It's how I imagine he sees the world. It's lowkey but you can palpably feel just how done he is with everything and everyone. Fugo's annoyance is the undercurrent of the entire novel. I feel like after every interaction he's staring sarcastically into the camera like they do in The Office. God I love this book.

ive been reading jjba over heaven-- an important aspect (to me at least) is dio's constant tendency to overthink, write himself in circles, and immediately take back the things he writes . it all makes him weirdly empathetic, this bit stuck out to me

Nijimura Bros! Honestly, always wanted to read Crazy Heartbreakers, but never got the chance to. Myself someday…heard that Keicho stole Petsounds apparently in it.
Art is amazing! From an anime like style, to something cartoony and cute ;p Petsounds’ colors also look vibrant, it’s fun messing around with colors.
What the FUCK do you mean he stole a BIRD??

Day 1: Favourite OC!
KIT CADDEL! (YIPPPEEE)
(thisss was without a colour picker for Yagami like months ago, so I apologise for bro's light ass skin tone - his ass is tan, bro. I at least fixed it with my newer art)
For the non-Judgement fans, Kit is the character on the left.
So, Kit is a JJBA fandom OC that I made really early on into the fandom. The character since her creation has been my complete favourite. Just over every other OC. SHE. IS. THE. BEST.
Kit Caddel is a British/"Welsh" stand user. (Her British mother cheated on her Welsh husband, with an Italian man. Resulting in Kit actually being British/Italian). She was a foreign exchange student at Jotaro's school. First encountering Kakyoin back in Egypt, when he met Dio, Kit decided to help Jotaro when she saw him interact with Kakyoin. After Part 3, she works for Rohan. Rohan only allowed her to work for him due to his intrigue with Kit being "The Man Who Erased His Name™" and her posh ass influential British family.
A lot of her character has been worked on at separate points of my life.
Part 3 is like 12/13 year old me, so I don't really wanna show off that era of the character.
Part 4 is based on more depressing characters + personal depression. Resulting in her giving off the energy of a 30 year old man w/a mortgage and a retail employee (I am neither of those things)
I even wrote my own Light Novel for Kit and Rohan, going into a more intense look into her backstory + her family dynamic. Also expanding on her dynamic with Rohan.
Alot of her part 5 onwards personality is reflected in Asahi Ito (my RGG oc), so I won't show her off that often. Altho, that makes sense for a self-insert.
Due to her being a MASSIVE comfort OC and vent OC, she is reserved as my favourite OC. I honestly don't think any OC will top the bond I have with her 🫶🫶🫶

Have you ever read any of Tolstoy's novellas? I personally really enjoyed The Death of Ivan Ilyich when i read it years ago and I've been meaning to reread it :) is there any short story or novella from other authors that you would recommend?
IVE ONLY READ WAR & PEACE FROM TOLSTOY 😢 i didnt enjoy it too much in all honesty, though I've come to appreciate his writing in relation to enstrangement (<- the russian formalist concept, not a misspelling of estrangement) after reading Shklovsky. Weird guy.
Favorite novellas/short stories:
Akutagawa Ryuunosuke: Death Register, The Art of Writing, In a Grove
Milutin Cihlar Nehajev: The Escape (not translated to English but if 10 people ask nicely ill tackle it. Maybe. One day.)
Oyinkan Braithwaite: My Sister, the Serial Killer
This is a cheat its a light novel not a novella and ill sound incredibly shounenbrained idiotic but NISIOISINs JJBA light novel "Over Heaven" is genuinely one of my favs and holds its ground as an independent literary work
Im blanking a bit right now i dont read so many shorter works. Though I should....ty :)

Jojo rankings because I don't think I actually shared my opinions on these before. Fuck it we ball.
Part ranks (for the record I think every part has its own merits and good bits, and I don't hate any of them)
1. Diamond is Unbreakable
2. Golden Wind/Vento Aureo (I CAN FIX HER)
3. Steel Ball Run
4. Stardust Crusaders
5. Stone Ocean
6. Battle Tendency
7. Jojolion (I CAN FIX HER TOO)
8. Phantom Blood
The Jojolands would be in-between gw/va and sbr as of writing
JoJo ranks (again, do not hate any JoJo)
1. Giorno Giovanna
2. Josuke Higashikata
3. Jolyne Cujoh
4. Johnny Joestar
5. Jonathan Joestar
6. Joseph Joestar
7. Gappy Higashikata
8. Jotaro Kujo (only in sdc, otherwise he is very beloved to me)
Jodio would be between Jolyne and Johnny, Dragona would be between Johnny and Jonathan
JoBro ranks
1. Yasuho Hirose
2. Okuyasu Nijimura & Koichi Hirose
3. Bruno Bucciarati & Guido Mista
4. Gyro Zeppelli
5. Ermes Costello & FF
6. Noriaki Kakyoin & Jean Pierre Polnareff
7. Robert E.O. Speedwagon (I AM SO SORRY)
8. Ceasar Zeppelli
Usagi & Paco would go between Gyro and Ermes & FF
JoFoe ranks (ok I actually hate some of these guys lol)
1. Yoshikage Kira
2. Dio Brando/DIO
3. Enrico Pucci
4. Kars
5. Funny Valentine (I hate him because he is an asshole in a not-fun way)
6. Diavolo (I hate him because he sucks as a villain)
7. Tooru (I hate him because Jojolion's ending is a mess)
For fun: What I actually ship (ranked by brainrot levels)
0. Jotaro x Therapy (MY OTP FOREVER)
1. Jonathan x Erina (they are the perfect tragedy and very under appreciated)
2. Gappy x Yasuho
3. Bruno x Abbacchio
4. Josuke x Okuyasu
5. Yukako x Koichi
6. Johnny x Gyro
7. Jolyne x Ermes x FF
8. Polnareff x Avdol
9. Jotaro x Kakyoin
10. Fugo x Narancia (depends on the day)
11. Paco x Charmingman (it's funny)
Also I appreciate Pucci x DIO as purely Pucci being in love with DIO one sidedly, not as a mutual relationship. I have a similar feeling towards Jonathan x Speedwagon but for different reasons. Oh and I did not add Caesar x Joseph because I swear to god I cannot remember Caesar's personality or even what he does it literally drives me insane idk how I did that 💀.
FOR RAGE: Ships I generally dislike for non-obvious reasons (most hatred -> least)
1. Hot Pants x Diego (Hot Pants is a very interesting and complex female character with a rich backstory and compelling ideals which is incredibly rare in jjba. Diego is a cunning and and tragic antagonist who was built upon his predecessor and made into such an insanely complex yet entertaining new form. This ship takes both of these characters and reduces them into nothing, especially Hot Pants. The scene shown as romantic between them gives me the ick. They both seem to mildly dislike eachother outside of their alliance and once they have that alliance I do not see any kind of chemistry. I could've disregarded this ship as nothing, a fandom shipper concoction that I would've simply ignored, EXCEPT FOR THE FACT THAT PUTTING THESE TWO IN A ROMANCE REDUCES THEM BOTH. I AM A DINOPANTS HATER THROUGH AND THROUGH.)
2. Jolyne x Anasui (the difference between this ship and Yukako x Koichi to me is that Yukako is a 15 year old who changed for the better and fully admitted to being crazy while Anasui is a grown man wHO HAS MURDERED TWO PEOPLE WITHOUT REMORSE. JOLYNE RUN.)
3. Fugo x Giorno (Giorno is aroace to me, also I read The Scene and I can see where people are coming from but I don't get it personally, sorry. On a different note this ship is weirdly popular considering that it was spawned from a single scene in a non-canon light novel so idk what happened there, no hate in that particular statement just intense curiosity)
4. Kira x Diavolo (I get that these two are recluses but that makes them getting together make even less sense to me lol)
5. Trish x Giorno (aroace Gio truther and I see them as the ultimate brotp ever)
6. Dragona x Usagi (aroace Dragona truther)
7. Jotaro x Tonio (I don't understand this one at all but I kinda find it funny so points there ig)
8. Jonathan x Speedwagon (I don't actually hate this one, but I see it much differently from how the majority of the fandom does. Jonathan is straight to me, but Speedwagon is very gay and very in love with Jonathan. The yearning is one sided, another perfect tragedy. The reason why this ship is here is because it overshadows Erina entirely due to its popularity, and has kinda made Erina a niche character in the fandom which makes me sad)
Btw if you ship these things idgaf you are free to do how you please as long as you don't mischaracterize Hot Pants in your lil Dinopants whatevers please I beg of you
Ok, rankings over. Nobody asked for this but when inspiration strikes, I write stupid stuff.

Now! Getting onto the ask blog rules/notes:
- please refrain from asking NSFW questions to characters who are minors (Giorno, Fugo, Narancia, Pt.3 Jotaro, ect).
- if you wish to ask something somewhat NSFW, keep it light. Nothing too graphic please.
- roleplay-esque asks and other similar things are welcomed.
- If your character is in several parts or shares a name with another (Jotaro, Polnareff, Dio, Joseph, Josuke, ect) kindly specify which part you are asking! They are all their own person!
- There will be a handful of headcanons involved here, I can't list them all here because that's roughly 400+ characters. Nothing too drastic though.
- sometimes I might add doodles to the asks, I cannot guarantee all asks will have them though! Please be kind. ✨
With that being said, ask anyone you wish! (Yes, even characters in the Light Novels, TSKR, minor/side characters, ect!!)

anime tboy swag bracket announcement
i am cutting off the number of characters at 55. as previously stated, i will keep taking suggestions until sept 29th, but please keep this limit in mind. at time of posting we have 54 characters on the list. if you want someone on the bracket after we've hit the limit, or if you want to guarantee someone already on the list makes it onto the bracket, keep the following in mind:
17 slots are taken for sure. i'll list them at the end of this post under a readmore, as well as which characters have already gotten some support and are thus likely to make it in. for the full list, which i update as i get suggestions, you can check my pinned post
all other slots are in flux until i make final decisions on the weekend of the 30th. you have until then to send in your suggestions and / or propaganda
what do i mean by propaganda? it's simple. you're trying to sell this character to me! give me the sales pitch, try to convince me why your guy deserves a spot on the bracket. if i get a lot of asks / replies about a character, or if i get some really good sales pitches, i'll cement their spot on the bracket.
don't send me negative propaganda. don't tell me why i shouldn't include a character on the list. instead, suggest someone new from the same series! there is a three character limit per series, so if you're lucky, and you make a good enough sales pitch, i might replace the character you don't like with one you do!
rules and aforementioned list under the cut
RULES:
canon and noncanon trans characters are fine
anime only! that includes japanese 2d animation, as well as manga, visual novels, and other video games with an anime style. must be japanese unless there's a very funny reason for its inclusion

phoenix wright (ace attorney)
bakugou katsuki (bnha)
trafalgar law (op)
yamato (op)
vash the stampede (trigun)

dirk strider (homestuck)
shinji ikari (nge)
luke triton (prof layton)
light yagami (death note)
kaoru kurita (wonder egg priority)

CHARACTERS WHO HAVE BEEN ENDORSED AND WILL THUS LIKELY BE TAKING SLOTS:
18. yoshioka masafumi (apocalypse no toride) 19. L (death note) 20. edward elric (fma)
as a reminder, there is a three character per series limit. the series that have hit this limit are haikyuu (nishinoya, hinata, and kageyama), fullmetal alchemist (mustang, ling yao, and ed), soul eater (kid, soul, and black star), and one piece (law, yamato, and ace, though if any series is going to get more than 3 it should be one piece. lol.) so if you want to suggest a different character from any of those, tell me which one you want to replace / which 2 you think should stay in addition to your suggestion!
#anime tboy swag bracket#divorce posting#you can send asks or reply to suggest characters! tho asks are better bc i can respond to those#and your gospel about your tboy will be better spread that way. may help when voting starts

Hungry Eyes (Dio x F!Reader) 4/6
He’d met Lord Pendleton before—he’d come once to visit the Joestar estate. The man took one look at Dio and decided he wasn’t worth acknowledging.
Your features may have been darker, but you carried his face.
OR
Dio Brando knows what it's like to be hungry, to reach for more in life. He can use your ambition to destroy the man who slighted him and discard you just as easily.
He never planned to like you.

Chapter 4: Erina's Interlude
Erina is old now, a few months past 81. Time took its toll on her features, and her body gave way to age. She lived an interesting life, a life filled with love, laughs, and paranormal tragedy. And yet, despite it all, she held very few regrets.
She wished she could have saved Jonathan, stopped George from running off to war, and shielded Joseph from the hardships he faced. Yet Joestar men had a propensity toward goodness, toward sacrifice, so she made peace with all those things. And while she could never truly make her peace with Dio, she made peace with the actions she took that night—her decision to save him.
It was dark, terribly dark. Thick plumes of smoke rose from the fire that engulfed the sinking ship. It was a terrible sound, the ship breaking and falling to pieces in the water, yet the light of that fire was a beacon in the darkness.
She opened the lid of the casket that sheltered her, eager for a breath of air. She kept herself low, away from the smoke that spread out overhead.
Elizabeth, she would go on to name the child, was crying, so she held the baby to her chest, turned her back to the roaring flames, and rocked her gently. Erina wished she had a bottle, something to soothe the child to sleep, but she had nothing but a song her nanny used to sing and her resolve to save the child. Her nanny had a beautiful voice, one much deeper than Erina's, but she sang the song anyway, sung louder than the fire's roar. Elizabeth cried and cried, but fell asleep after a while. So with shaking hands and tried eyes, Erina placed the baby on a bed of soft red pillows. She then shifted out her dress and slipped down into the black ocean. It was cold. Her bodice and petticoat grew heavy, weighed down by salt and water, but she kept true to her resolve.
There was a net floating in the distance. She noticed it as she sang and thought she could use it to catch some fish. She should have waited until morning, but she feared losing sight of it in the dark. Rubble from the boat floated aimlessly around her, bobbing up and down with the waves. Erina couldn't lose this opportunity. Those planks of wood and broken boxes helped her stay afloat as she kicked and paddled, fighting against the arc of the waves. Her teeth chattered. The icy water chilled her to the bone, but she kept moving. She had never been a strong swimmer; there was no reason for her to be. So when Erina finally made it, when she took the net into her hands and pulled against it roughly, she was out of breath and somewhat delirious.
But she saw something else there as well.
"Jonathan?" Her husband's body lay faced down in the water, his shirt singed, his collar bloody. "Jonathan!" She screamed and swam closer, trashing about till she made her way to him. He didn't respond, but she didn't expect him to. She waded through splintered crates and half-melted plastic, hoping she could reclaim the body. But what she discovered made her heart sink: Dio. She might have screamed, cried, or left him there to die. She might have begged God to take it all back and offered own her life in exchange for Jonathan's. She might have laid her head upon his chest and resolved to die alongside her husband for a second time. She might have held him till her strength gave way with the rising of the sun.
But she did none of those things. Though she was sickened at the sight of Dio's head crudely grafted onto her husband's body, Erina took hold of him. He was cold, rigid, and unmoving—but the body still pulsed with a strange form of life.
He was alive.
Careful to keep her grasp on the net, Erina Joestar used Jonathan's body as a flotation device, just as she did the wreckage. She kicked her feet and paddled toward the casket as fast as circumstances allowed.
Pulling herself inside was difficult enough, as she couldn't risk the casket turning over or tilting in a way that would harm the baby, she figured she could use Jonathan's body as leverage. She would climb on top of him and climb over the side more easily. Yet as she examined the casket, its polished finish and ornate design, she thought it was very strange. The bottom seemed far deeper than what the space above implied.
It was a casket made for two.
There was someone helping Dio, wasn't there? He had a loyal companion, did he not? Was it made for both to find refuge on this trip alone? Or was it meant to be used beyond the night?
Curious and hopeful, Erina clung to the side of the casket and moved her way around it. Slowly but surely, she searched for signs of a false bottom or something. What she found was a small latch, one that enabled the opening of a secret compartment, a shelf. Coming back to the other side, Erina took hold of Jonathan's body and pulled it along the casket. Though pushing him in was no easy feat, Erina managed to fit him inside despite her labored breaths and trembling hands. She then used the shelf as a stair to climb over the side of the casket and froze.
Elizabeth squirmed and cooed but continued sleeping soundly, wrapped in her blankets and Erina's own dress. Satisfied, the widow then took a moment to breathe, to rub her hands against the soft lining of the casket in a weak attempt to create some warmth.
The ship was more than halfway gone and soon there would be nothing but darkness. She had to say goodbye. So, after a moment, Erina peered over the side of the casket.
But before she pushed the shelf closed, before she laid her husband down to rest, she took one final look at Dio’s face. And for the first time, she thought he looked tranquil.
"Dio. Can you hear me, Dio?" He showed no signs of consciousness. "If I had been born poor, I may have done the same thing. I may have had the same ambitious heart and strayed from the path of humanity if given the chance to do so." She thought about her sister then, thought about you and your cold hands, sharp fingernails, and the way your eyes seemed so clear to her even in the darkness. She realized then what it was you had become; you were the same sort of being as Dio, a creature of the night.
Sometime after her Mother's funeral, Erina learned the latest gossip. She heard you'd been seen with Dio once or twice. Most assumed he was acting the part of a gentleman by showing kindness to a humble maid. But Erina wasn't sure that was the case. She intended to warn you of his early evils, to ask you to keep your distance for your own sake. She knew the way noblemen viewed housemaids, as easy women to lord their power over, and she didn't want your heart broken or reputation sullied. But he managed to impress everyone around him, and common rumors claimed he'd grown into a fine, upstanding gentleman. And, perhaps even more important, she heard he and Jonathan were friends.
She'd been gone for over seven years at that point. It would be wrong to judge him unfairly. And it wasn't until later that she learned of his obsession with image, that he wanted to climb higher and stand alone on top of the world.
He never could have taken you as his wife, not as the maid you were. Is that why he shared his power with you? To make you something of an equal? Were you meant to be the second occupant of the coffin? Was it love that led him to do this? Or was her thinking too romantic?
Yet, when she saw you that night, it was hard not to think you'd been swept off your feet.
You were dressed so finely, almost like a queen. Your red dress was perfectly fitted and your jewelry sparkled in the dark. She assumed you found a wealthy husband, that you returned to the Pendleton estate to reveal your triumph or contemplate your humble beginnings. But if you were the same as Dio, were you there to kill her instead? And if so, why didn't you?
Erina looked down at Dio with a sigh. He was in no position to answer.
"Jonathan's body belongs to you. Now, you truly are a member of the Joestar family. Please let their noble spirits guide you." She touched his neck, the ugly scar his actions left behind. "Please rest with my husband at the bottom of the ocean. Sleep soundly. I don't know if it will be in five or fifty or five hundred years; but someday, please give up your evil ways and become a good person." And if you still lived, if you found a way to live in peace with the rest of the world, if you took no actions that would draw the attention of the monks, perhaps Dio would find you when he woke. Perhaps the world would be better. Perhaps you would find happiness together.
Erina pulled the shelf shut, laying Jonathan and Dio to rest.
And when a rescue boat came a few days later, she asked the fishermen to weigh down the casket; she watched it sink.
***
It was the right thing to do, she always reasoned. Dio wasn't born evil—so he was capable of change. She hoped he would make the choice to do so, someday.
She never told Robert, Straizo, or the other monks. She never told George, Elizabeth, or Joseph. 'But it's time to tell the truth to someone,' she thought, meeting your gaze from across the room. The wind rattled the trees outside and shook the window violently. There was a terrible draft, but you stood undisturbed by the window, eyes glowing in the dark. You wore your pendant on a chain around your neck and dressed fashionably in red.
"You've returned," Erina smiled. "I always hoped you would."
You didn't move. You didn't speak. She shifted slowly, turning to gaze up at the ceiling. Was she dreaming? Were you truly there? Or were you a ghost, a specter haunting her final days?
"...I should tell you about Dio, shouldn't I?" she continued, her voice thin and raspy with the weight of age. "He rests at the bottom of the Atlantic, placed in a coffin of his own making. I made sure of that."
Again, you said nothing, and it was quiet for a long time. She turned her head to see you, but you were gone. Your body vanished, but Erina could feel you watching.
"I understand what you thought you needed to do. I only wish things turned out differently," she rambled, eyes growing heavy with sleep. "If things were different, if we were born in an era where the trappings of status and nobility no longer mattered, or if father claimed you as his daughter… could we have been true sisters?" She always felt she never did enough, never tried hard enough to find you.
It was quiet still, and the light of the moon shone brightly through the window.
Perhaps it was just her imagination; perhaps you were never truly there. It wouldn't be unheard of, the mind conjuring images of those who could absolve you of guilt. She shut her eyes, ready to embrace the soft lull of sleep.
"...rest now, Erina." Your voice spoke above her head. "Summon those who love you in the morning," the cold press of your hand felt heavy on her forehead. "...go easy into the next world knowing my grudge was never with you. I hold no grievance toward the family you made… find peace in that."
That was the last she would ever see of you, and it was enough. Even if it was just a dream, even if you were only a vision, she found peace with you.
And thus, Erina Pendleton passed away at the age of 81, surrounded by the friends and family who loved her.
And you, her sister, the last of the Pendletons weren't far away. You leaned against the aging stone of your family's estate, a red umbrella shielding you from the evening rain.
Yes, your grudge was never with Erina, so you felt nothing for the family she left behind. You would make no move to harm or help them lest they interfered in your quiet life.
So, when news broke of a casket being found at sea 33 years later, you felt no need to warn them of the danger ahead.

Hey sorry to annoy you but you're one of the few jjba light novel translators out there! Wouldn't you happen to know where i can find the rohan short stories? I want to translate em! I'm also looking for the recently published lisa lisa one but I doubt thats online yet. Thank you in advance!
idk when you sent this ask but sorry for the late reply, i rarely come on here! anyway, don't worry, not annoying : ) unfortunately i don't think anyone has posted the raw/scans of the rohan short stories so you'd probably have to ask if anyone in possession of all of them would be willing to or you'd have to purchase them yourself! : ( if you do translate them please let me know, i'm looking forward to read them!! about the lisa lisa ones, i think something was translated here and/or here but the second part is missing? idk? or at least i haven't found it or something. i do have both the JOJO magazines SPRING & WINTER so i could provide raws of the lisa lisa short story (wholly) and the iggy the stray dog short story and the (squalo & tiziano) testimone di gangster short story (although there's already a translation here) if anyone is interested. hope you have a nice day bye!! : )
