The awakeneds in the ranking are so funny. Jiwoo introduces himself and they're like "this kid is fucking unreal, am like in the ranking how can he stand right next to me??" Kayden shows up and they gasp among themselves, "okay, I knew he was something but this is beyond what everyone in the rank expected??" Jiyoung slaps some sense into them and they just sit on the floor rocking themselves, "but she's not ranked??" Seongha fights back and they're stomping their feet like a child who didn't get their way, "you're not anywhere in the rank I don't even know your name??"

I've just realised that women awakeners deserve a whole new level of respect, especially rankers.

Imagine, in a world where a moment of vulnerability can mean losing your position and even your life, having to deal with periods. We've seen how awakener society works, the norm is to attack when your enemy is weak; someone tracking a woman's period could prove fatal to her.

Quick educational parenthesis, in case you don't know (not shaming you, it's not your fault if your education system failed you) periods can affect health and performance (both physical and mental performance). Women's cycles last between 28 and 40 days, depending on the individual, and around a week of this cycle is dedicated to the menstruating phase; this can include, besides the bleeding, cramps, mood swings, general body pain (back pain and breast pain are the most common, but not the only ones), digestive problems, and a looot more depending on the person. And we're not mentioning a lot of conditions that can make it all worse. End of the educational parenthesis!

Now, I doubt most awakeners can just refuse a challenge because of their menstruating phase. Refusing a duel is seen as cowardice, and admitting to being in a vulnerable state would put them at risk of being ambushed, especially if they're rankers; meaning they have no choice but to toughen up and fight while quietly dealing with their period.

Think about it: every woman awakener we've seen, rankers especially, has probably fought someone while on her period at least once. And they might have won if it's high rankers we're talking about.

About jiyoung's future.

Chapter 321 had me thinking about the aftermath of the failed invasion of Korea and all the ways this could go in the future. I couldn't help but wonder about Ji Young's position on the matter, not only as Shinhwa's chairwoman but Korea's representative awakened one. Maybe I'm a little delusional for wanting some political development when the writer(s) dropped the topic a long time ago, but here are some of my thoughts and expectations.

1. Jiyoung's official world ranking: she's been fighting top50s for months, dislimbed some of them and even Vatore has been talking about her to other rankers. I think that's enough to consider her worthy, but it could be a good opportunity to explain more about how the rankings work in an official manner and who is in charge of passing the news about the new rankers around the world.

2. Chairwoman Yoo: The last time we saw her in this position was when all the Astra mess was happening. With all the invasion thing and top10s and top rankers coming to visit every other week, I'd love to see more about Korea's dynamics and damage control plans from Ji Young's point of view. Even if the one on command -in group meetings- is still Seongik Han, it could be a good opportunity to let her shine outside the battlefield too.

3. Korea's first ranker Ji Young: If she becomes a world ranker, her title will have some changes too. In earlier chapters, we learn that first rankers are usually targeted if they aren't recognized worldwide a thing that was happening to her- so holding a high rank should be useful to stop that, but I don't think the problems end there. Politics again, Korea is known for being weak and having a young N° 1 ranker was one of the reasons. It could be interesting to see how 'Korea having one (or more) world ranker(s)' is managed by the world, and on a personal level, how Jiyoung manages all these new things.

I know asking for all this is too much because it doesn't have anything to do with Kayden or Jiwoo, but I could be begging on my knees for some world-building and the invasion thing just gave me hope 😭 [plus I love jiyoung a little too much to see her character die as not more than a love interest]

Eleceed Redesign Pt 2

Hi, I’m back to be annoying with my headcanons again. I rlly should be studying. Again, this is for FUNNNN I ain't fixing shit it's more like how I would draw them.

I also redesigned the bestie crew so look at that too after this one teehee.

Starting off with the one who doesn’t even look like the same person.

I noticed this webcomic rlly likes to repeat hairstyles, I mean Jiyoung has the same hair as Lia and Iseul has the same thing just short.

I have not though about how Jiyoung would get the scar on her chest, but all I know is that at one point she had a phase like Jisuk and that's how she got it. Instead of seeing it as ugly tho I want her to think of it as a badge of honour.

I do not care if her outfit is inconvenient she looks cool af.

The white streak in her hair was because of Jisuk, I didn't think that far after that I just wanted them to kinda match.

I like the think she also has a rebellious streak but she's better at hiding it.

I actually don't mind Kayden and Kartein's designs, I just made some changes based on some adjustments I would make.

I made his ass built like a Dorito cause body shape is also included in silhouette which is important for character design :)

based on what I said about Jiwoo's clothes in my last post I decided to make it a reality. My friend also told me I should have a button on his shirt holding on for dear life.

Messier hair because he a heads and shoulders 4 in 1 type of guy. Also it helps sell his personality more at first glance.

His black outfit is base on the SOLIDER uniform from FF7, I didn't really have any ideas so it's' in the works. I kept the monochrome black palette for now since it goes so well with Kartein but I'll change that later.

Ear piercings just because.

Yes, Kartein makeup is for everyone. I didn't change much about him either

I gave him short hair because I couldn't think up a good long hair style for him. Also, half slicked back hair because it makes him look fancy.

Gay Earring because he got his hair slicked back, it may be a gift from a certain someone considering how simple it is.

Monochrome white for him still! Like Kayden, I want to make more outfits where he has more colour.

his mole is only there bc I like it when characters have it there and there was also a stray line art marking I couldn't find the layer of and was too lazy to find it.

a little pendant tie thing because I think it looks cool and again may be from a certain someone

I noticed that Kayden and Kartein would be hard to tell apart if it was only their silhouettes and no black and white contrast to the suit and coat along with hair change help with telling them apart.

A fanfic may be in order, but that will be after I crawl out of exam hell. Also, I am well aware some of these designs would be HELL to draw for a webcomic, don't take it seriously lol.

Kayden - new clothes (why does the mf wear the same shit every time we see his human form)

Kartein/ Curtin - balls (y’know for his cat form) + a break from Kayden and Jiwoo’s bs

Dr Delein - some bonding time with Wooin (he probs doesn’t get much time to spend with Wooin outside of Wooin’s visits)

Gangseok - his spar with Jiwoo

Iseul - a date with Jiwoo/ a break from Jisuk and Subin’s teasing

Sucheon - therapy + a good sleep schedule (have you seen how big his eye bags are)

Suman - a good night’s sleep

Vatore - shopping spree with Kartein

Jiyoung- a break from work (girl is so busy as the chairwoman of shinhwa and the top ranker of Korea let her have a break)

Inhyuk - a basket full of cat related stuff + a break from Jisuk’s bs

Seongha - a break from the gang’s bs

Arthur/ Asher - a prosthetic arm + a hug (his family are assholes)

Cain/ Gahin - a hug (my poor bby got stabbed twice by his “friend” he needs the hug)

Duke - a slap + clown makeup & nose

Amyeong/ Dark - therapy + a hug from mama Jiwoo 

Mama Jiwoo - bonding time with Jiwoo, Amyeong, Kayden and Kartein 

Veramonte Patrick - a hug (got some fun grandpa vibes from him)

Julian/ Jurion Patrick - a consoling pat on the back (for losing the chance to date Jiyoung to Jiwoo, he didn’t even have a chance to win her over from the very start)

Ian Patrick - an outing with the gang!! (I want him to join the group and add on to the sillies)

Sorry have to webtoon post for a minute i need to get the hater out of my system but I really hope Jiyoung and Jiwoo don't become a canon couple...?? I mean their age gap isn't... overly bad but they genuinely don't have much romantic chemistry to me, anything like that feels really forced 😭 Jiyoung's blushing just feels like her getting flustered by Jiwoo's extreme earnestness but obviously they're getting pushed in a romantic direction and it's just so... sauceless. Idrc abt Iseul and Jiwoo as a ship but even they seem like their personalities would go better together and that they have more chemistry. Idk !!!
